Simon, whose hands were shaking against the steering wheel of his car, tried to even his breathing as he looked up at your childhood home.

Simon, a man who’d been on numerous battlefields, a man who’d been shot at many times, was more nervous than he’d ever been knowing he was about to meet your family.

Simon, who loved you more than he ever loved anyone before, wanted so desperately for your family to like him, their approval meaning more to him than he’d ever admit.

Simon, whose thoughts were racing, felt himself snap out of his trance as he felt your hand rub his leg in a loving gesture.

Simon, who gave you the best smile he could in that moment, pressed a loving kiss to your lips, his worries suddenly vanishing.

Simon, who held your hand tighter than ever before, walked up to your front door with you, a small smile lining his lips as your mother answered the front door.

Simon, who’d only been hugged by you in the last decade, felt his heart stutter as your mother engulfed him in a warm hug.

Simon, who was most nervous about meeting your father, was pleasantly surprised as your father clasped him on his back, a broad smile lining his lips as he led Simon into the dining room.

Simon, who hadn’t been to a family gathering in many years, felt his eyes widen as he was led inside, a giant gathering of food and family surrounding the dining table.

Simon, who wasn’t used to being the center of attention, felt his cheeks burn as your family asked him about himself with genuine interest.

Simon, who had gotten used to the military rationed meals, felt a warmth pool in his belly-feeling pleasantly full for the first time in years.

Simon, who was genuinely upset when the night ended, felt his heart thaw ever so slightly as your family insisted on him coming for the holidays.

Simon, who was always reluctant on physical touch, made sure to hug your mom back a bit tighter this time as she whispered something in his ear.

Simon, who left that night with a genuine smile, his heart full as he finally had a family that accepted him with open arms.

ghost and you just about to get down and dirty but he had to do a quick bathroom trip. next thing you know, you hear snoring coming from the bathroom and he's leaned against the wall, eyes shut.

price promising that he'd watch the whole movie, because it was one of your favorites. but lo and behold, you barely get past the opening scene and he's laid back with his mouth hanging open.

gaz making dinner for the both of you. you smell burning from the kitchen and find him face down on the counter, spoon in hand as the food blackens in the pan.

soap trying to give you a massage because you've had a hard day. turns out it relaxed him instead because minutes later he's collapsed on top of you, drooling onto your back.

Once again, you know who is underutilized in DCxDP crossovers? Battinson. Skrunkly shivering boi. Who we should definitely give children to care for. 

 Did you know that Jason canonically had a brother named Danny? Well you do now, and it should also be used more. 

 We all want to give Battinson a robin, so why not give him four for the price of two. He of course gets Dick from the circus- he’s never going to go into public again, this was the first time he’d gone to do something out of his comfort zone for a while and look how that turned out. 

 And on one of the nights that Dick has to stay home (Alfred insists he must finish his homework if he wants to go out on patrol) Bruce returns to the batmobile to find not one child, but two. Is Danny reincarnated? Just appeared one day? Who knows, but he’s here now and going to protect his little brother. 

 Bruce might have tears in his eyes when they both hit him in the kneecaps and bolt because even with the armor it still hurts. How he manages to grab both kids he’s not too sure, but he ends up getting them food after they put the tires back. He also doesn’t understand how he’s convinced them into the car but they’ve both conked out and maybe he’s panicking and needs Alfred- 

 D-Dick why is there another child here? He’s the neighbor, cool cool. W-what do you mean he’s home alone, he’s like, 4?? What do you mean he’s been alone for a week now???
