Fenton Street Food

Maybe if Danny repeated it enough times he'd start to believe it, though seeing the monstrosity that was the Fenton food cart he highly doubted it. More so because it had fucking guns hidden next to the mutant and very alive Hot dogs (which by the way were not sellable, they were the mascots of the brand).

It all started when Jack Fenton talked about his dream of delivering his favorite food around the world, that fueled Maddie Fenton's idea, and since Jazz was in college and Danny was on vacation no one could stop them.

Soon Danny became a victim of his parents' eccentricities. Although the halfa had to admit that selling in Gotham was a lot of fun, thieves didn't think it was worth mugging him and the Rogues themselves bought his food of dubious origins.

It was almost a shame to have to change cities because Batman was getting too suspicious but Metropolis was waiting for him. And he would be back eventually; some bats who had enjoyed his strange roving food stall had waved him off with handkerchiefs, wiping away fake tears. Danny appreciated it.

Besides, Red Robin affirmed to him that he would recommend him to Superboy, so he wouldn't run out of customers anytime soon. He wondered if he should stop by Central City, the Flash Family ate a lot didn't they?

working at a grocery store should be enough to radicalize anyone

when I worked at loblaws, which is owned by one of the wealthiest families in canada, we were not permitted to put baby formula on the shelves. it had to go behind the customer service desk, because too many people were stealing it. being that I'm of the opinion that no one should have to pay to eat, I pretended not to know store policy and put it on the shelves anyway. the cheapest of baby formulas cost more than a quarter of what I made in an 8 hour shift. and yes, this is the same grocery chain that pays minimum wage to the majority of their workers, and student wage to workers under 18.

I saw someone banned from the store for attempting to shoplift diapers, another for taking bread. you know the age old "would you steal a loaf of bread to feed your family?"? yeah, a grocery chain owned by a billionaire family will ban you for that. and yes, this is the same grocery chain that admitted to a price fixing scheme based around the cost of bread.

the store manager instructed us to keep an eye out for people who "looked homeless", and to watch them while they were in the store to ensure that they didn't steal anything. and yes, this is the same grocery chain that denied drivers overtime wages unless they worked over 60 hours a week.

and we were unionized! imagine how they would have treated us if we weren't! and yes, this is the same grocery chain that blamed product theft on their workers.

basically, seeing the way that grocery stores underpay workers while boosting their prices and having over the top policies to prevent people from accessing basic human necessities should be enough to make anyone despise capitalism.

the line cook thing burrowed its way into my brain, omg.

price laying the charm on thick to the new server. they're a tired, clearly overworked thing. he worries about them, even when they're not on the schedule. makes sure to feed them breakfast, lunch, dinner - whatever meal they're up for, and quickly learns their favorites. a few weeks in, he's scandalized to learn the diner's their third job. no wonder they're always tired! he's got to do something about it.

Price is absolutely in charge of the kitchen, barking orders at Ghost, Soap and any other unlucky line cooks under him. He really only stops in order to lean against the pass through and ask, "Everything alright sweetheart?" When his favorite server swings by. He's slick with it, terribly charming in a way that he probably shouldn't be.

He hates order substitutions and will send Ghost out to menace anyone trying to make massive changes to menu items. It's not a fancy restaurant by any means, but it's still well trafficked with a lot of regulars. (He might even like one or two of them) He's quick to take new staff under his wing if he thinks they're having a hard time (or if they're extra pretty) and is in fact scandalized by anyone working at the diner as a third job. He's got a meeting with the owner to talk about paying the servers more, may or may not set a loaded gun on the table during this talk.
