Been busy lately, so I haven't been on tumblr for a while. Now that I'm back, I noticed that I've gotten a fair few followers. The only thing is some of those are just generic tumblr user profile pictures and the pages themselves are empty.

So...just a head's up. I'm giving anyone with that type of profile who isn't a bot one week to change that, or I'm blocking you. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just something that lets me know there's an actual person there. I don't mean to be mean, but...I don't like the spam bots.

Anyway, hope you've all been well! Today I think I'll finally be able to get some writing done with minimal distractions, so I'm off to do that now. Later!

just found out about simblreen + it sounds so cool! In the past I've done my best to take part in inktober but never fully succeeded so maybe this will work better for me, either way I'm definitely taking part!

edit: so um... i will not actually be taking part this year... life got in the way as usual and I am just waay too busy with a bunch of other stuff, hopefully I can take part next year tho...

I am now distraught of leitmotifs and the way music can be used as a medium for storytelling and I desperately want more leitmotifs and stories where you see that the antagonist is a reflection of the protagonist, see how their leitmotifs are the same just in different chords it destroys me and I can only think of one instance of this happening. Maybe because I’ve listened to that musical so many times-

I went out for my birthday yesterday and I went minigolfing with my wonderful wonderful partner @eldritchnbinspace ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ then we saw the Mario Movie (WHICH HOLY SHIT IT WAS SO GOOD??????) and then! We got food!

Any Rise fic that I write in the future will definitely be keeping stuff from the Q&A in mind. It gave me so much to work with, but it’s also making me even more sad that the show was stopped when it was. Just from these answers, I can tell I would have been over the moon with a full season 2 and beyond.

On that note, Frida has been accepted in my mind as the first turtle sister’s name, and I’m coining the name Louise for the second. After Louise Bourgeois. I think that her art style is a good fit for a kooky turtle who has been stuck in another dimension.

Another name I considered was Hilma.

editing audio is literally the worst thing in the entire world, people who make like 1 hour video essays are amazing, I can't. I'm having to edit 30 min down to 20 for tomorrow's video and I want to cry, why can't this thing pay me enough so that I can literally just pay an editor to do this??!!

i don't like criticizing animations or fan projects (barring obvious issues of course) because they're almost always done for free and for fun, but sometimes i do see a premise, song choice, and character choice where it could've easily focused on a much less popular character or story and instead chooses the most popular characters available and just uh. crams them in to fit the song.
