i have a mustache theory

that is not just "the mustache is gay", though it does end up there! and i just want to put it out there in case i am SO right so that i can refer back to my genius lol.

so, walk with me here for a bit. in 7x04, when buck and eddie are talking about tommy out on the sewer call, eddie mentions the chevelle, that we have never, not once, ever heard about, that he apparently just has. now, i think we can safely assume that eddie didn't just go out and buy a vintage car to work on in all the years he's been in LA, but they did speak about i very casually, so i think it most likely it belonged to his grandfather, and after he passed it just kind of belongs to the family, and eddie enjoys working on it.

a few weeks ago we got some bts photos of a lot with vintage cars, and eddie's truck in the background, so it's likely we might actually see him working on it in s8.

now, remember eddie is named after his grandfather, edmundo, and it's likely that they look a lot alike. so he might have gotten comments about that the entire time he's been an adult. and you know what isn't unreasonable to imagine edmundo sr might have had? a mustache.

SO, eddie might try and emulate him by getting the mustache, working on the car, maybe leaning into the masculinity of it, right? maybe idealizing him a little bit. but at the same time, under the surface, eddie is obviously dealing with the loss of chris(temporarily), but also the catholic guilt, the shannon of it all, who he is, and if we're right about getting him out, how he identifies.

so maybe after encounters with the church(the hot priest), therapy, maybe even realizing his feeling for buck, he learns to let go, and it leads to him to shaving off the mustache and entering this new stage in his life where he can also be free.

I just watched the Deadpool and Wolverine movie, and honestly, it just broke my heart.

Like, the movie itself is good, as good as it can be. The jokes made me laugh, and the story is both coherent and manages to be about something. But...

When Deadpool 2 came out, we were in the middle of the peak of the superhero era. The references to the other movies felt like that, too. "Hey, that other movie, that we all know. That we all loved. Or all didn't love. Remember that one time that movie did something a little bit silly?" And then you laughed, because yes, that other superhero movie we all knew and liked or didn't like really had done something funny there.

Now all that is left of that world... Is a wasteland. So Deadpool 3 IS a wasteland, with whatever remains of the Fox heroes erring around in there. And the only thing it, and therefore, we, can do, is laugh at the ruins of what once was, and tear it even further down, because it is the only thing we can do, and doesn't fucking matter, anyway.

The moment I stopped laughing, I felt like crying.

The ocean air.” And God, he wants to leave. He wants to get away from the cloying pressure of his parents and El Paso, but the last time he did that he got shot.  An uncomfortable itch, impossible to describe, crawls up his back. He wants her to stop talking, to stop touching him, for this conversation to end. Maybe then he can push all the feelings and emotions flooding his brain away and away and the scraping sensation at the back of his skull will recede.  “I just got home” is all he can get out. “Yeah.” The happiness and relief that he is back with her shows on her face, but he doesn’t feel the same. Shannon swallows and her face resets. “Home from a war zone. But being here?” She waves her hands around and gestures to where his parents are sitting with Christopher outside. “It’s not that different.” Doesn’t he know it. “It’s not good for Christopher.” His son’s name jolts him like a shock then smooths him down like a cooling balm. Christopher. Eddie could, would, spend the rest of his life fighting war after war for him, but his son shouldn’t have to live in one.  Eddie meets his wife’s eyes. “Okay.”

Sudden deep drops in mood suck, even knowing it's very likely just hormone related. Like, oh, irrationally sensitive to everything? Check. Constantly on the verge of tears? Check. Convinced all your friends only tolerate you and are actually quite fed up with you? Check. Feel annoyed and frustrated with all your hobbies and creative endeavors? Check. Over prevailing sense of worthlessness and like I'll never amount to anything? Check.

Apparently there's another scene where Eggman tries get to Tails by mentioning Sonic; to downplay the fox, to which Tails brings up their showdown from SA1.

(Haven't quite seen all the cutscenes; the in-game ones, but someone has uploaded all the Eggman cutscenes from the update. Included him talking to Tails and the others separately. If you're interested.)

I like to think that now, since Neil feels safe with the foxes and doesn't have to consciously filter who he is and what he says, he develops like a weird sort of hybrid accent that is sort of a mix of his mother's British, his father's Baltimore, and like a basic sort of American accent as well. The Foxes would relentlessly bully him for it (as they should).

Since SL is ending, do u have a favorite outfit you wished you could have draw more of it? Can be any character.

You unlocked something in me cuz I went digging for these:

I drew this super cute coat-dress for Rose and then only got to show the back of it?! And I looooved this fall look on Alya so much I tried to use it again in "Puppeteer" but barely got use out of it there either. And I deliberately referenced my favorite Akane Tendo from Ranma 1/2 look with Mylene...and then only showed her tiny 😭😭

This blink-and-you'll-miss-it look for Alix was so layered and so what I think I'd put Alix in as her permanent outfit if I was designing her for the show. Same for this adorable oversized fit for Ondine, she needs an "out of the water" look. As for Chloe and Sabrina, I felt like these both really reflected them well so it's too bad I only got two pages out of them.

I actually DID get a lot of real-estate out of this Alya look, I just liked it so much I want to see it more. And this Nino doesn't blow my mind but I drew him so cute in my sketchbook quick sketch that I want to bring the look back just to recapture the magic. And this long skirt on Nadja made her look kinda hot, I waited to late to start messing with the adults.

I just really liked the few times I got to draw Juleka in this look, I wonder if it's actually the hair that I liked most. And poor Marc, I drew them in this "is it a shirt? is it a dress?" look but you never see below their waist! And I killed it with these three, you can tell that I just really like the outfits I made for Alya, Kagami doesn't get to wear casual clothes enough, and Nino isn't super fashionable, but when I nail it for him I NAIL it!

I like making the rich kids casual. (Also I fully admit that there's just something about showing off guys collarbones for me, idk what it is). I especially like this Chloe look because it's inspired by fellow creator @mikoriin's artwork of her! Ivan is hard to get excited about because I feel like part of his visual design is that he's NOT fashionable (I mean he's wearing two different shades of black, the nightmare) so when I can trick him into looking good, I like it 💖And I like most of the looks I give Lila, wanting to see her outfit more is just me wanting to write her more.

Last but not least, the Hero fits from the kids. If you add in Alya dressed as Fox Trot, the Cesaires cover the Main 4 of SL (pre Ladybug) lol. It's a shame that they couldn't show off their hero worship more.

i did actually want to write a hybrid sukuna piece sometime soon, but,,, he's such a hard character to pin down T-T there's a lot of options, but nothing that really clicks, so if i may present some options for the judges:

Stray Cat!Sukuna, who's the scrappiest, most feral tomcat you've ever met. He's quick to hiss, covered in scars, and yours is the only house he'd ever be seen inside of (and, even then, he'd rather not be seen spending time with a human). He lets himself in through open windows, helps himself to any meat you've got on-hand, and only ever purrs when he's asleep or ""scenting"" an article of your clothing. He's a nuisance of a cat, and even if you wanted to, you'd never be able to get rid of him. If he's going to put up with a human, that human's going to have to be his mate, and that's not a decision he needs your input on.

Tiger!Sukuna, who's less of a predator and more of a king. Most carnivorous hybrids only hunt out of necessity, but not Sukuna - he seems to take joy in cutting down anything that crosses his path. He's a beast, even for a big cat, but around you, he might as well be a housecat - always purring and sprawling across your lap, making sure that you know that he'd rather chew off his own foot than ever dig his teeth into you. It'd be a sweeter sentiment, if you weren't so aware that his kindness doesn't extend to those he feels have spent a little too much time too near to his territory.

Fox!Sukuna, who's as fox-like as they come. He's mischievous at the best of times, but he's more like a trickster spirit than a forest hybrid, always teasing and taking advantage of his kind-hearted, empty-headed rabbit mate. You're always getting stuck in his snares and falling for his silver tongue and somehow, you always end up on your hands and knees, drooling and sobbing as he forces you to take his knot. It's just unfair, but as a smaller prey hybrid, you don't have any other choice but to rely on him. No matter how mean he might be to you, Sukuna always makes sure to take good care of his stupid little mate <3
