#saturday I’ve been listening to @npr Throughline’s podcast and it’s series on Capitalism. They explore capitalism and neoliberalism and how these ideologies (yes ideologies) have over time fueled notions of ‘individual freedumbs and responsibility’. We know this is untrue, yet our everyday lives and choices are fueled by this false premise. It also gets into how the human psyche has literally shifted from choosing experiences through concepts of justice, care, desire, and enjoyment to being consumed about everything we do in relation to our own human capital value-are the experiences we choose enhancing or depreciating our value within this capitalist system? Lets Talk Prerequisites
Just the thought of prerequisites is enough to overwhelm you... chemistry, organic chemistry, more chemistry, biology, microbiology, anatomy and on and on and on... If you are a first time college student talking science classes isn’t that big of a deal, it’s not that much of a hardship BUT as a 2nd degree students, a career changer, a person trying to enter a science masters degree program with a liberal undergrad degree prerequisites are HARD and I don’t just mean the class I mean the even the process of getting into a class, sometimes these intro science classes have their own prerequisites and sometimes (in my case...) if you took other college classes more than 5-10 years ago (varies by school) they don’t count and need to be retaken... really? i have to suffer through statistics a 2nd time? and my psych 101 class may not transfer? what? anyway i am currently in major prerequisites mode, scheduling, planning and mapping all of the classes out that i need to apply for a Masters of Science in Dietetics AND the prerequisites for the prerequisites... if everything works out and I can pass all of these science classes i’ll HOPEFULLY - FINGERS CROSSED - PLEASE PRAY TO THE GRAD SCHOOL GODS be accepted and starting my 2nd (yup i have a masters more on that later) Masters in the Fall of 2018! it sounds SO far away but in reality it isn't, and in the entire scheme of things it’ll only be a blip. A hard science filled blip but still just a blip...

Browsing Pub Med for some researched backed articles on collagen and holy crepe there are so many articles on collagen and yes there is a medical grade that you can get prescribed. But no over the counter product is the same as medical grade.
Collagen depending on the type can help with hair, skin, nails so that they grow long and strong with less breakage along with anti aging benefits. Reduced fine lines and wrinkles in the face. Firmer looking skin. Brighter looking skin. Healthier looking and feeling hair etc.
While other types can help with joints, heart and brain health and providing the body with BCAAs. (If I'm missing information or wrong definitely let me know! I don't want to spread anything false or with missing context)
It's nothing revolutionary but collagen is great for general health and wellness, along with helping you keep a youthful appearance and the slow the process and effects of aging!!

I have a big day of studying and cleaning ahead of me, so to prepare for it I made this delicious omelet with leftover salmon. I also filled up 4 big water bottles and made some green tea because hydration is key 😜. This omelet was so good and having salmon with breakfast made me feel fancy even though I just threw some leftovers together. Now I’m off to get shit done! Hi guys let’s talk about being more effective in the morning So one of my go to advice is to actually go out of bed the moment you wake up instead of having 100 of alarms set Then I will recommend you to pack the day before. This way you only have to grab you bag before you go ... I’m so sleepy in the morning that I could easily forget to bring something ! I would recommend to do your lunch in the evening too so you can save some precision minutes of sleep in the morning ! I also pick my clothes for the next day in the evening after I checked the weather and what I have to do. In the morning if I have classes I’m in an automatic mode wake up dress up breakfast brush teeth and go If I’m home I already prepare what I have to do in a list the day before and once I wake up I just go for it ! Zucchini Fritters : 🥒Zucchini 🧄Garlic 🥚Egg, 1 Wholemeal flour, 1/2 cup 🥛Milk, 1/3 cup Baking powder, 1 teaspoon 🌶Chilli oil 🍃Basil 🌱Garlic chives 🧂S+P : Grate zucchini, squeeze out excess moisture and place in bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients to the zucchini and stir until combined. Cook in extra virgin olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Mine were about 2 spoons worth of mixture in size. Flip when the edges on the bottom start turning golden. Serve however you please, I poached an egg. Yum!
