Ouija Board Prompt Idea

A/N: A late night Idea that came to me instead of sleep and I wrote this down during lunch break

Danny was just in Gotham because the city spirit had asked him for assistance with a rather persistent unruly Ghost that didn't understand that this was her haunt and she did not want them there.

So when he got the notice he did his kingly duties and made sure the Ghost was no longer annoying Lady Gotham. He was the Ghost King but even he didn't want to anger a spirit as old as her. He had watched the spirit take a ghostly club and hit Clockwork the Ancient of Time with it without remorse the first time they were introduced. So yea, no messing with this one.

He had been about to portal back home when he felt a strange pull one that was close to when he got summoned but yet it didn't feel as demanding but more like a little kid pulling on his shirt hesitantly. So he checked it out…

… and came across a group of vigilantes investigating an occult side.

Invisible he watched them, curious. He used to do the teen hero stick too before the whole Ghost King business allowing him to get some semblance of a normal life with his rogues, might as well see how others to that hero stick. Besides the pull he felt appeared to come from that tall one wearing a red helmet something was up with that guy.

"Come on, ask the ghosts a question or are you too chicken to do it?"

"I will not participate in this nonsense, Red Hood."

"Come on guys it will be fun!"

"For whom? You, Spoiler?"

"RR aren't you curious?"

"We just gotta ask the board a question and if a ghost is around they will answer by moving it, right?"

"Ghosts don't exist."

Okay Danny was not taking personal offense here but he was a half ghost and he ruled the Ghost Zone filled with ecto-entities that could count as ghosts. So yes, ghosts existed. It was a simple decision then as he floated down invisible crouching next to board still invisible and out of the way from them.

Making sure he made a lot of scraping noises as he moved the small wooden piece on the board to 'YES'.

Someone yelped and someone else shrieked, though Danny wasn't sure if that was a shriek of excitement or not. He still grinned at their reactions.

"Did that just move to 'YES'! It did, didn't it!"

Yea okay that earlier was a shriek of excitement considering how that girl in purple was jumping around. Though the poor kid among them looked a little paler now, Danny decided to keep an eye on the kid to make sure he wasn't overdoing it.

"Okay so a ghost is here?"

Maybe he should have bothered listening to Lady Gotham or Tucker more about the vigilantes of Gotham. Oh well no time better as this to learn. What did the girl call this boy again, RR? Danny wondered what that stood for.

He moved the piece around the board a little making sure they noticed before he spelled something out.

"N-O-S-H-I-T-S-H-E-R-L-O-C-K. No shit Sherlock. Ha! I like this ghost!" The tall one laughed, he believed the kid called him Red Hood earlier. Well the red helmet was a great testament to that sort of code name. Still he wondered about that weird feeling he got from the guy but pushed that aside for later.

"Well since there is a ghosts, what should we ask?"

"Maybe how old he is?"

"Think it rude to ask how he died?"

Danny rolled his eyes. Those were such mainstream questions.

"B-O-R-I-N-G, 1-6 , YES. Guys it looks like we are not were imaginativ."

"Well what do you suggest we ask then?"

"I don't know! Maybe he can show us a cool trick?"

"You know that reminds me of this game that's been out for a while, phasmophobia or something like that?"

Oh Danny knew this one! Tucker had told him about the game, he himself hadn't played it but he had watched his best friend do so, they had a lot of fun joking about how the ghosts were portrayed and the tools that were available to the players.

"So what? We ask the ghost to play Hide and Seek with us?"

"Let's cease this nonsense. This is not something we should mess with."

"Oh are you scared?"

He made a show of moving the wooden piece, doing his best not to snicker out loud as he moved the piece to count down from the number 9. Letting his own powers out a little to cause the already dim light to flicker and the room to cool down several degrees.

The reaction was instant once again. Though he didn't expect them to run for hiding spaces he definitely did not expect these people to pull out their weapons and position against each other's back like they were ready for a fight. Then again they were vigilantes

The poor kid among them looked even paler. Before his count down could reach 0 he decided to not scare the poor kid more. Pulling back his powers the room's temperature normalized and the lights stopped flickering. He moved the wooden piece knowing that at least one of them was watching it in anticipation.

"J-K-S-O-R-R-Y"

"I think the ghost just apologized to us?" The RR teenager said carefully and Danny couldn't help the sheepish smile even if they couldn't see it in his invisible state.

"You know about the game?"

He moved the piece to YES.

"So you thought it was fucking appropriated to scare us like that?"

He moved the piece around and placed it back to YES before spelling out sorry again. The vigilantes shared a look and Danny decided to spell out a question.

"L-I-T-T-L-E-G-U-Y-O-K-A-Y"

"Huh? Uh yea Robin is fine." They looked confused but Danny kept his eyes on the kid. Well the poor boy still looked very pale but he also appeared to try to put on a brave front, it nearly caused a chuckle to escape the halfa.

"Can you show yourself?"

"S-U-R-E"

Not like he was really going to show himself but this was going to be fun, he thanked the Ancients that he was taking lessons with Pandora on how to manipulate his own ectoplasm. He summoned a blob of it making sure he himself was still invisible as he let the green blob be visible, forming it and making it look like a blob ghost.

The reaction was once again instant. They yelled in the chaos all he caught sounded like 'Lazarus water! Moving Lazarus Water!' Before the pale kid, Robin they said, slashed at his ectoplasm blob with his katana, essentially doing nothing to the blob of ectoplasm. The sword just went through it and Danny still holding it confused just instinctively let it reform the shape he gave it.

Danny blinked, okay now he was definitely not showing himself. "This is no a ghost but a Pit Demon!"

From the corner of the eye he saw Lady Gotham appear in the room staring at him disapprovingly and holding that ghost club she had used on Clockwork.

"I can explain, really! I was just joking with them!" He stood holding his hands up to smooth the situation, the green blob fell to the ground splashing against the Ouija Board with a loud splat. His chances of not get hit like Clockwork by Lady Gotham were becoming slimmer.

"WHO SAID THAT?!"

Shit, he hadn't used ghost speech but said that out loud.

16. Tarot

Definition: playing cards, traditionally a pack of 78 with five suits, used for fortune-telling and (especially in Europe) in certain games.

Summary: During a game of Phasmophobia, Skizz finds the Tarot Cards and decides to pull one. The card is one he has never seen before though and it comes with some interesting effects.

G/t: Impulse is normal-sized, Skizz is a few inches tall

Okay, I'm going to admit right now, I have no idea how Tarot Cards work, both in real life and in Phasmo. So this could be entirely inaccurate. Just warning you guys now lol.

 “Hey, I found the tarot cards!” Skizz shouted into his walkie talkie. He was currently set up in the living room, trying to use the EMF to see if he could get any sign of the ghost. The tarot cards had been next to the fire place, Skizz had almost missed them.

 “Don’t pull them yet, Skizz! Impulse is still upstairs.” Grian’s voice crackled over the device. As always, Grian had holed himself up in the van and was watching things from the cameras they had placed everywhere. 

 “I won’t, I won’t.” Skizz said back with a pout. Tarot cards were dangerous and he knew that. Impulse and him needed a quick way to get out if things went south but Skizz was just so curious. He was hardly ever the one who got to pull the tarot cards and he didn’t want to miss out on this opportunity. Especially since he knew Impulse was probably going to suggest not doing it for this house.

 The ghost was obviously a shade, they were just getting some last minute evidence and then getting out of there. There would be no reason to pull a tarot card and risk ruining their perfect game now.

 No other reason, except that Skizz really really wanted to.

 Giggling to himself a bit, Skizz figured what the harm could be. They might lose the round or maybe the cards would give him something good. Only one way to find out. He held out the cards in one hand and pulled one with the other.

 ‘The Borrower’ it read.

 The card burnt in his hand only a moment after reading it. “The Borrower? Is that even a real Tarot Card?” Skizz questioned, having never seen it before. Suddenly, the whole deck of cards burnt in his hand and Skizz paled. “What the-?” Skizz looked around nervously. That only happened when you pulled a really bad card. What the heck did ‘The Borrower’ do?

 The house was silent, other than the faint crackle and static of their equipment and the sounds of footsteps that were either coming from Impulse or the shade. Nothing was happening so far. No hunt had started and they weren’t gifted anything. So then what-

 Skizz felt it, suddenly and all at once. His eyes widened as he doubled-over, not quite in pain but with a strange feeling deep in his chest. He clicked on his walkie talkie. “G-Guys! I-I need help!” He yelled into the device and then dropped it when the strange feeling went up into his arms and hands. 

 “Skizz? Skizz!” He heard Grian shout but couldn’t answer, now on his knees and gripping the carpet below him. “Impulse! You need to get down there, now!”

 “I’m on my way!” Impulse said back and the footsteps upstairs turned rapid.

 The feeling made its way to his head and then…

 It was over.

 As quickly as it had started, the feeling stopped and Skizz let out a sigh of relief. He opened his eyes and sat up a bit more, looking around to try to figure out what had just happened to him. His eyes widened when he took in his surroundings.

 Everything around him was huge. The once normal furniture was now giant in comparison to Skizz. He blinked in shock, at a loss for what could have happened. But the more he looked, the more it clicked. He had shrunk.

 “What the heck!?” Skizz exclaimed, not knowing what else to do.

 The ground shook below him and Skizz’s gaze quickly turned toward where he knew the stairs were. And then his eyes widened even more when he saw Impulse hit the bottom floor, even bigger than the furniture.

 Impulse’s gaze was moving rapidly around the room and he held the walkie talkie up to his mouth to speak. “Grian, where is he? I don’t see him.”

 Something crackled on the other end, the voice too faint and far away to make out from where Skizz was. “What do you mean he’s just disappeared? That doesn’t make any sense.” Impulse stepped more into the room and Skizz jumped to his feet in alarm. “Even if he died, there should still be a body. But I don’t even see that!”

 Impulse walked closer and something in Skizz’s brain took over. 

 Skizz needed to get away.

 Now.

  Skizz looked around frantically before running under the couch, the closest thing to where he was. He slipped underneath easily but not without being spotted.

 “Wait, I think I just saw something moving.” Impulse said, once again into his walkie talkie. His footsteps continued forward, moving closer to Skizz’s hiding place.

 Some static crackled and then Impulse spoke again. “No, I don’t think it was Skizz. It was too small.” Some more static. “Yeah, I think it ran under the couch. Hold on.”

 Skizz felt frozen in place as he watched Impulse kneel down and lay his head on the floor in order to look under the couch. It was too dark to see anything at first, but then Skizz was temporarily blinded as Impulse turned on his flashlight. Skizz held up his hands to try and combat the bright light.

 “What the-Skizz?!” Impulse exclaimed, finally seeing clearly. Skizz gulped nervously, taking a small step back. 

 “Wait, you found Skizz?” Now that Impulse was closer, Skizz could now hear Grian from his walkie talkie.

 “Yeah, I-I think so. Something is definitely wrong though.” Impulse said as his eyes never left Skizz’s now tiny form. “Skizz, buddy, you okay?”

 The question made Skizz pause and he forced himself to take a deep breath. This was Impulse. This was his very best friend. His Dippledop. Even if he was a giant in comparison to him now, he would never hurt him. He…just had to remember that. If he kept repeating it then maybe he could ignore this sudden fear.

 “I…I’m okay.” Skizz said, hesitantly. “I pulled a tarot card and it was one I’ve never seen before. ‘The Borrower’ or something. It shrunk me.” He explained.

 Impulse’s eyes were wide in surprise and then his head tilted in thought. “That’s weird. I don’t remember reading anything like that in the new update…” He looked over Skizz, still thinking. “Maybe once we finish this game, you’ll go back to normal?”

 Skizz nodded, he supposed that was as good of an idea as they were gonna get for right now. Hopefully that was how this worked. “Yeah, hopefully.”

 Impulse pressed the button on his walkie talkie. “Hey Grian, we’re heading back to the van now.”

 “Sounds good!” Grian said back and then Impulse put the device back in his pocket. With a hand now free, he turned back to look at Skizz and held his hand out for his shrunken best friend.

 “Come on, let’s get out of here and get you back to normal.” Impulse said. Skizz looked at the hand nervously. It was a lot to ask, honestly, to put himself in someone else’s hands. But again, this was Impulse. If he trusted anyone to hold him like this, it was him.

 So, Skizz sucked it up and stepped forward. He made it up to the hand and shifted nervously. He looked up at Impulse’s face, who was giving him a patient smile and Skizz couldn’t help but give one back and found that it calmed his nerves a bit. Enough for him to finally step onto Impulse’s hand.

 The hand curled around him just a bit and Skizz couldn’t but flinch a little. “Hang on.” Impulse said and then he was pulling his hand, and Skizz, out from underneath the couch. From there, Impulse stood up and Skizz held on tight to a nearby finger to keep himself balanced. “Sorry, I’m not really used to this.” Impulse joked but was of course sincere in his apology.

 “It’s okay, me neither.” Skizz said back with a small smile. “I trust you though.”

 Impulse smiled softer at that and then started to make his way out of the house. Holding Skizz close to his chest in order to be safe. He was only glad a hunt hadn’t started with Skizz like this. Who knows what that would have been like for him.

 “Hopefully you’ll return to normal once this game ends.” Impulse restated, probably due to worry. “And maybe we don’t use the tarot cards for a while.”

 Skizz nodded. “You don’t have to tell me twice.” It was going to be quite a long time before he pulled any of those again, that’s for sure.

 …Maybe he could get Scar to pull them next time.

I was replaying Okami and thought Prowlbee would both enjoy it. Maybe it's how Bee could get Prowl into video games. What other games do you think Prowl would like? Maybe Skyrim for its beautiful visuals and play your way story, or the Asasisns creed franchise?

I haven't played much of the games that are popular so i will take my guesses on the little info i have of the things i heard about them.

Bee plays Mario games, Zelda and Skyrim most often, if the others decide to join then they'd play some multiplayer ones like It Takes Two, Splatoon or Mortal Kombat, etc. They have the most fun with Overcooked cuz it's so chaotic. He never plays the Call of Duty and games with online lobbies cuz one time he played it, some random teenager trash-talked him so much he was sad for the whole 2 days.

As for Prowl i think he'd be more about the story if he plays a game: He likes the Assasins's Creed series, he'd also like Sky: Children of Light. Subnautica games are also a yes for him. He definitelly loves to play Journey, that one hits hard in the feels, Bee literally started crying when they played it.

Bee would defo get Prowl to play Minecraft with him. They have a nice little house with a farm- Prowl insisted they don't kill the animals for food so Bee built a giant wheat farm. Bee is the type to make builds like farms,g rinders and get all geared up and fight and explore, Prowl is the builder than makes everything pretty and gets all the enchants. Also Animal Crossing, they have an island together; it's very chaotic in case of organization but it's still very pretty.

I googled that Okami game and yeah, they both would like that i think, the graphics are nice. I have a game called Mini Ninjas(i recommend btw) and Bee would absolutely coax Prowl into playing it purely for the ninja-ception of a ninja playing a game about ninjas.

Another thing they would like is Pokemon games; Bee was never keen on tactics and statistics that the game's battle system relies on so Prowl help him out with that, they tear the Elite 4 to shreds in every game. They also love Undertale.

They have few runs at Don't Starve Together. One time they player Phasmophobia in in the VR sets Sari gave them- Bee had a sparkattack and Prowl nearly fainted. They never played that game again. Another thing to dump into the trauma corner.

Oh and one more thing: Bee, Sari and maybe some others played Who's Your Daddy?!(the old version) at one point- everyone was just straight up hilarious-panicking cuz it was so cursed. XD
