Hellers chewed the inside of his cheek.

“It was really hard when Confession Scene happened,” he tried. “I knew I was changing Destiel Posting vibes. It was – it was so hard to be Functioning Member of Society, and I guess, I guess I just decided you were better off without my crazed reblogs once the show ended. My mania was too much for you. If I had known…”

“You didn’t,” SPN interjected. “…Neither of us did.”

"What…are you doing…now?”

Hellers tried to put a smile on, scooting closer to SPN's bed. He stroked his hair, watching his eyes flutter with the motion.

“I’ve been indulging in other fandoms. I post for them too."

SPN laughed a little, the sound breathy and faint.

“Do you… ever rewatch me?”

Hellers scratched SPN's head a little and SPN pressed into the touch.

“All the time.”

SPN made a small sound of satisfaction, pleased by this.

“I know, when your Confession aired, I know you tried to be good for us, especially after the shitty year we had, but it wasn’t your fault. You know it wasn’t your fault, right? It was the writers and the network.”

“It was never your fault, SPN,” Hellers repeated, and SPN stared at him, eyes foggy with Cancelled Spinoff.

i do think talking about the destiel mania is sooo crazy because it just. you had to be there. events so big they’d take over the dash within minutes and eventually break containment only for us to get tired of it and start making castiel posts that would get 80 notes in 3 minutes. you could post “holding a weathered old book just like i hold castiel” and 6 people would immediately say “same” . crazy

montresor is such a fascinating villain to me I need to study him in a lab. he is deep seated fear, coated in self loathing and insecurity, coated in rage and bravado, and he's a monster and he doesn't know how to be anything else. he was told he was worthless and despicable his whole life and he decided if he would never be good enough he may as well be the devil they told him he was. he needs to pick fights he needs to be hated he hates being ignored he needs to control people but hates being genuinely loved he can't show weakness he is deeply insecure in his masculinity he took his religious trauma and started dressing as a preacher to fleece people at cards and seduce random women he killed a man on instinct to protect a dog he often laughs uncontrollably and I am blowing him up 1 million billion times with my mind
