Hooray! I really enjoyed that game and feel a sense of accomplishment from beating it that I haven’t got from a game for a very long time. I’ve unlocked some challenges, it’s very sweet of the game to think I could do them, however there is no plot carrot at the end of this stick, so maybe in a few years!
Speaking of plot, WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH ADAM!!?? Is he a corpse? Is he just very close to one??? What was that about one final GUILT strand called Bliss??? WE HAD BETTER NOT BE INFECTED! I AM NOT DOING SURGERY ON MYSELF NEXT GAME!
I was genuinely worried I was going to have to operate on Adam and that he would contain every type of GUILT know to man (and also whatever the fuck Bliss is), so I am very thankful to the game for not making me do that, because my play time is 18 hours long. This makes up for the cruelty of having a meeting between Victor and Dr Blackwell happen off screen rather than letting me see it. I want to know how they interact, dammit!
Anyway it was nice watching the sunset with Angie and knowing that those child test subjects are back to their normal lives. What a wonderful bastard of a game!
i'm so happy you enjoyed it! this game is so dear to me (and what i mean by that is that i remember the characters and the stories so fondly, while also making me seethe with white hot rage at the mere sight of a triangle. ahh, good times), and it's honestly such a hidden little gem, so i'm glad i could spread the word a bit (EVEN IF ATLUS HAS LEFT THE SERIES OUT TO DIE).
and oh, you think it gets crazy here? boy, you haven't seen anything yet. i will always appreciate this series' commitment to being absolutely BATSHIT CRAZY. grey's anatomy my ASS, this is some real doctorin'.
and yes, go take that well deserved break now...then come back when you're ready cause UtK2, hOO BABY! (and you have to meet my beautiful darling son aaaAAA).

Poll adventure (paventure? lol) Day 16: read the small story tidbit below the poll for more details, OR just vote based on initial impression
(✦ see past poll results + further information HERE (link) ✦)
Yesterday's poll decided that The Adventurer should offer to help the travelers with their broken wagon.....
~
After much internal deliberation (and some zoning out staring at butterflies), The Adventurer decides it would be best to offer his assistance. Technically, he IS still following his goal of not getting distracted, because theoretically it would make his journey much faster if he were able to catch a ride on a carriage. So really, this is all an ultimate big brain genius strategy for maximizing efficient travel.. Or, at least that sounds like a good enough justification to him.
Gathering up all of his social courage, he approaches one of the travelers fiddling with a broken wheel near the far end of the carriage and meekly asks if there's anything he could do to help.
The man was so focused on his task, he seems initially startled to look up and find someone near him. "OH..! Oh, uhh.. help? With the wagon?", he smiles pleasantly, gesturing towards a few wooden boards that are just out of his reach, "Sure, kid. If you could just hand me th-"
"Apologies, but we actually won't be needing your assistance, stranger." A taller man, surprisingly almost matching the stature of the Adventurer, suddenly slinks out from somewhere behind the carriage, sternly placing himself like a barrier in front of the man working on the wheel. Wheel Guy nervously averts his eyes, making himself smaller, silently resuming his work.
The Adventurer tries his best to maintain composure against the weight of the tall man's bitter gaze, but can't seem to muster much of a response "Aeughh,,, uh… b-but, h- Bu--HHHh,,?.."
"Look, disregard whatever my father told you, he's old, never has any clue what he's talking about. It'd be best for you to simply move along." ('Father'? They don't look alike at all, and seem to be nearly the same age..)
"W-well.. he.. he didn't really tell me anything, I me-hhH,,.. I mean, I literally just got here, s-so...."
"Good. Even more reason to be on your way."
Placing a gloved hand firmly on his shoulder, the tall man begins to motion the Adventurer away from the wagon, but a strange noise interrupts, echoing from inside. Perhaps some sort of animal sound? Or a person faintly yelling about something? Or… both?
"WH-wHggg… whAT was t-that???!!" The Adventurer immediately stops in place, pausing to listen as the tall man keeps trying to push him ahead.
"I didn't hear anything, stranger."
"No, t-there.. was dEFinitely, UHH, a-"
"Likely something in the forest."
"Wh--aah... d.. do you think it was an animal?"
The tall man continues a dramatic struggle to 'subtly' drag him further down the road, whilst the Adventurer mindlessly digs in his heels, too distracted to even notice he's being so strongly prompted to leave.
"Many animals do, indeed, exist within forests. This should not be suprising."
"...It's just.. ..eughh… s… so weird…"
"I assure you, it is not."
"I-it really sounded like.. like it came f-from insid-"
"Yes, from inside the forest. Now, please, if you would.."
The noise interrupts again. It's definitely someone, or something, in some sort of distress.. And definitely from inside of the cart.
"wHoAAGH, aa!!! T-tHat's NOT from the f-forest, that-"
The tall man fully just shoves him now, sending the Adventurer toppling across the dirt, clumsily rolling and landing just past the other side of the carriage. A mother and young child who seem to be part of the traveling group simply stare down at him with empty blank gazes, wholly unconcerned about helping him up.
As the Adventurer fumbles back to his feet (still confused as to why he was even pushed in the first place), the tall man looms by the carriage, diligently watching to ensure that he leaves.
"Travel safe, stranger."
Despite his initial obliviousness, the Adventurer begins to piece the situation together as he stares back at the man, now fully convinced something suspicious might be going on...
…What should he do next??

gepard's relationship with his parents is...not the best. and by parents i mean his father. the landau name has a lot of prestige in belobog, there was a lot already on gepard's shoulders before he was even a toddler, being the first born son. his military training started early - much earlier than should have been allowed - and nothing less than exceptional was acceptable by his father. the abuse was sometimes physical, but the vast majority of it was verbal and mental. their father would berate his children if they didn't meet his absurdly high expectations.
his mother, while kind and nurturing, did little to interfere if his father got a little too rowdy, a little too harsh, a little too mean which, in my book, makes her guilty by association. still, he would have much rather had her in his life than not, and he loves her dearly. where his father was cold and efficient, his mother was warm and doting. she babied gepard whenever she got the chance, him being her only son.
to gepard, his father is a righteous man of dignity and respect, but deep down even he knows the way he was raised - the way serval was raised - was harsh. there were many times serval put herself between gepard and their father just to save gepard from their father's ire. her desire to protect him resonated with him a lot, and he took it to heart. his desire to protect not just her, but the people of belobog, is largely her influence. he does something similar to this for their younger sister whenever he can. when serval "left" the family name, or stopped speaking to their father, he felt a little...betrayed? it felt like she turned her back on gepard specifically, but with time and discussion he's come to realize she had to do what she felt was best for herself, and gepard supports her now as best he can. but their father really planted a lot of seeds in his brain that almost kept him from seeing why serval did what she did in the first place.
gepard's feelings toward his father are difficult to say the least. on the one hand, he believes the man was just trying to instill values in his children, and make them achieve their best, even when it was difficult. on the other, gepard still tenses whenever his father is around, and he knows that's not how a parent should make their child feel. his biggest fear, for a long time, wasn't death or pain or the dark or anything like that - it was disappointing his father. in fact, death was something he was expected to observe. since he was old enough to understand, he was told about the glory of dying on the battlefield, the honor of giving your life for belobog and the supreme guardian. his own self worth suffered because of this.
landau senior is...traditional. gepard is expected to carry on the landau name, meet a woman, have children, the whole nine yards. gepard has yet to tell his father that he's gay, and considers the idea of never telling him at all. it's hard to predict what the man's response will be.
in short, gepard's father was and still is a big ol' swinging dick, and his mother - while caring and supportive - made excuses for the way her kids were raised.

what is your opinion on the Stakh/Artemy pairing?
first part of my answer:
second part of my answer:
completely neutral about it I won't lie. I see why people ship it, and I see why I don't. I understand the appeal, and I understand why I don't indulge in it regardless of appeal. I've written extensively about it so it's no surprise to anyone but since Rubin is in the process of being formally adopted as a foster son of Isidor (P1 lore, which I tend to go by for Rubin specifically), I To Me Personally For Me For Me To Me Personally Me Only In My Mind Personally see them as a brothers-like relationship. Cain and Abel if Cain was bald and freakishly tall.
also this (which i have literally written so my opinion should be clear enough)

woman fail update: i couldnt get my cats to get along so the new boy is getting rehomed with a fellow cat lady. i feel bad i couldnt make it work but it wasnt fair to my female to be stalked/attacked because i was doing a poor job introducing them.
it was not for nothing, though. i got him neutered, his shots, confirmed negative for FIV, and fattened up from his time outdoors. made him as adoptable as a cat can be!!

My favourite thing ever is when Jason is drawn to resemble Bruce because I KNOWW his ass would HATE it😭😭
Dick: hey Jason you haven’t forgotten our meet u— oh my god are you ok?? What happened?
Jason *rocking back and forth on the floor with a traumatised look in his eyes, whispering in horror* someone mistook me for Bruce in the grocery store today.
Random kid at a charity event pointing at Jason standing grumpily in a corner: who’s that?
Bruce (smiling fondly): that’s my son Jason!
Random kid: he looks like you! :D
Jason: *leaves the room*
Bruce (running after him): jason, Jason they didn’t mean anything by it, Jason, you’re going to jump off a balcony just because of a child’s observation Jason?
