I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

Oh GOSH what a good question. This is HARD, honestly. It would definitely be close...

Draxum's Kids (which is what I've been calling them in my head as well, lol) are definitely a force to be reckoned with. They've spent years training near every day.

But the Gemini have spent years fighting for their lives near every day.

In terms of raw combat alone? I think the Gemini would be able to win without question, (not to say that it wouldn't be a pretty brutal fight...)

But then you have to take mystics into account, and Draxum's Kids definitely hold the advantage there. Donnie is a very powerful witch, but he can't hold a candle to Mikey, or even to Venus, (though her mystics are much less suited to combat.)

But I think that the Gemini would still be able to win out-- though just barely. To a degree, I think it would come down to mentality. Draxum's Kids are highly trained and highly capable combatants, but they haven't seen very much actual combat before. The Gemini have. The Gemini have long since killed the part of them that hesitates or questions what they're doing, and they are very good at turning that section of their brains off and just focusing on winning and nothing else. Draxum's Kids are highly trained, sure, but the Gemini are a well-oiled machine designed to do exactly this over everything else.

#but this ONLY stands if leo and donnie are fighting TOGETHER #jeni or mikey could beat leo or donnie in a 1v1 without much question #and while donnie has means to counteract venus's witchcraft and would probably be able to best her she would take leo down no problem #draxums kids are a lot more flexible and well-rounded than gemini. they can all stand their ground on their own or on most any team #the gemini are highly specalized. they fight TOGETHER as a pair. but they are VERY good at this one thing.#draxums kids are soldiers but the gemini are FIGHTERS.#gemini au #gemini au asks #gemini asks #asks #anon

Honestly, he doesn't look like Akutagawa at all. He's round

#Harukawa's art style has changed so much ever since chapter 88 but whilst for other characters like. Atsushi it was gradually spread–#through all the chapters which made it virtually impossible to notice #We haven't seen Akutagawa in almost four years if not for a single panel (chapter 105).#Which makes seeing him again after all this time such a big whiplash.#I'm not saying the change is a bad thing and I'm not saying it's a good thing it's just. Endlessly tickled by the idea of Akira being a good shot but a shit gamer. I like to think its cause hes got incredible hand eye coordination and super steady ‘surgeon’ hands; hes very good with precise movements, but panics when he has to do brain melting inputs. His brain can keep up but its hard to make his hands follow suit. Its why u can have him be dogshit at arcade cabinets; panicking with the little joystick and button mashing like mad, while having him be a beast at things like darts and billiards.

The only arcade games he can play is house of the dead-esque shooting games (hes literally at the top of the leaderboards for MILES and he draws crowds whenever he plays) and DDR cabinets (hes just very light on his feet)(NOT to be confused with stepmania; he would die if he had to do arrow inputs with his HAND). Its kinda fun to watch him fumble with the other silly gimmick cabinets, but its more entertaining to watch him do what hes good at. If u take him to play darts, and if the darts are super cheap, he will absolutely try his best to split them down the middle each time. Doesnt always work, but its insane to know that he lands the bullseye literally 100% of the time.

#btw this is not stannerism like i do have legitimate reasons why i think it will be jon at the end #i think an interesting part of jon’s politiking as LC is him realizing how deep the rot is in the watch #he spends an entire book - agot - realizing that he institution he spent his childhood idolizing is not so glorious #he spends the next book directly confronting the issues that come with being a good man ( helping gilly #and being a true man to the watch and starting to notice the cracks in the system #and then asos is like the turning point you know?#adwd is him trying to fix the watch from within but failing imo because as i said the rot is far deeper #it doesnt matter how many people you replace the watch needs an overhaul - a complete uprooting to the core #which is why i dont like theories of him being a passive bystander as the watch crumbles #its just too narratively juicy if he takes a part in the destruction of the watch coz yknow some things need to be cleansed w/ fire n blood #a nice lil parallel to dany and what shell be doing in the east throughout winds #i like him as the 1000th lc because its a nice round number and thats a bit silly but its also signifying a renewal #Its a blank slate which is essential to jon because he does have a vision for the watch and the wildings!#and he can start from the ground up - and like one of the most underrated themes in jon’s arc is nation building #ive said before that i think the show kinda got it right….like we’ll see a weird mesh of lc of the nw and kbtw as jon’s endgame #I wont get into that now….but i know a lot of jon stans dont want him back at the wall because it seems needlessly cyclical and i get it #and i get that the watch isnt the most glorious place to be…but i really do think its meant to be a vehicle to explore themes of rebirth #and renewal which appear in jon’s arc -think of jon’s messianic framing and the watch being his “new earth” after all is said and done #not so much a place of punishment but a place to find new meaning and exist beyond many societal frameworks #for the cripples bastards and broken things….anywayyyyy lmaoo #asoiaf #jon snow

I can’t even lie over time this pathetic little elf has grown on me and now I really like her as a character. she’s SUCH a loser. and someone said that she should’ve been recruitable instead of Halsin after uncovering the Shadow Druid plot and she could’ve had a redemption arc and now I can’t stop thinking about that alternate reality

#i have no idea if it’s a controversial opinion to like Kagha or not but #like imagine if she was sent away from the Grove. not banished but temporarily sent away to think about her actions #Halsin says she can return to the circle after she’s rediscovered the oak father’s teachings etc etc #so she can join up with you in act 1 and you get a druid then and not 2 in act 2 randomly #maybe she travels with you to find redemption. you were the one who pulled her from the brink so she thinks travelling with you #will help her do some good in this world #she can have a tense reunion with the tieflings in act 2 and she apologises. some forgive her. others don’t as is their right #and she tries so hard to redeem herself but she learns that sometimes people are still hurt by your deeds and they might not forgive you #I think it’s talking to Arabella that actually gives her growth #maybe it’s Kagha who’s involved in Arabella’s powers and her learning to tame them. Arabella who has reason of all to hate her #and it takes a while and some conversation and working together but I think Arabella forgives Kagha #she doesn’t have to and Kagha never expected forgiveness from her but she DOES and that’s what gets Kagha the most #she has a big introspective act 2 moment in the middle of the Shadow Curse #regardless she is first to suggest rescuing the tieflings from moonrise. not because she wants forgiveness but because it’s right #(to show her character growth and learning to care about the refugees)#and then her quest could tie into the Shadow Curse. she wants to do better and help people #and eventually the other tieflings start to come round to her. once she’s proved she’s actively bettering herself #the kids find her funny and Mattis definitely thinks she’s a loser and not scary or mean #like okay lady sure I forgive you whatever stop crying now #Mirkon is just a little sweetie so he forgives her as long as Arabella does and then he follows her around asking loads of questions #anyway sorry those are my thoughts I think it’d be great to have a redemption arc companion in act 1 #bc Minthara is so missable if you don’t know to knock her out you just kill her #Kagha’s story would help indicate that there are hidden companions you can look out for #most of this is nonsense im so sleepy but will I stop rambling? no #also Minthara should top the hell out of this pathetic surface elf right now
