Am I the asshole for refusing to take my girlfriends map route?
My girlfriend loves to take me on a different of adventures throughout the world, her main favorites were taking simple walks that would eventually end up at the other side of the city. She drags me along with her always even if i had told her multiple times that it's too early to go for a walk. My girl, sets her alarm at 3am and wakes me up to go outside and walk with her.
About a week ago, she broke the news to ME, that she booked us a hiking trip. Me being myself, i usually laze around the house and get some sleep, so hiking isn't definitely my thing. But either way she bought us 2 hiking tickets up a snowy mountain.
When we had 4 days prior before setting out for hiking, she immediately drew a map from the place we were going. I admit that she is definitely good at drawing maps, but i studied them and absolutely got confused. I gave up on doing so.
We arrived to our destination and she immediately grabbed her map out of the bag, she tried pulling me to the right side of the mountain but there was a map hanging by the wall of the cabin shop saying that the left side is where the mountain hiking is located. I talked to her about it and she told me that the map they made is probably fake.
We got into a small argument and i parted ways with her towards the left side and i fot lost, I was reported as missing and a group of search party was launched to get me back, Now I'm back with my girlfriend's hold and she's mad at me for not taking her word. We talked to the cabin shop for the map route and found out that there was no such thing as a cabin back on the mountain.

My girlfriend is so beautiful, she absolutely deserves the world.
Literally shes the best, I don't know what i even did to desrve her presence besides me, but im sos so thankful for it. Everyday i wake up next to her it feels like im blessed eith yet another peaceful and loving day knowing that everything is complete with her by my side.
She smells so good that it stays on my sense of smell, the way her fragrance litter her room and immediately smells like her once i enter is so peaceful and sweet. I absolutely love her perfume, i bought one of them to keep on my room and i spray tiny bits of it on me whenever she's not with me now.
I seldom carry her little gifts in my small bag whenever im away from her to remind me of her presence, her perfume never leave my hands. My shelves are filled to the brim with her godly scented perfumes, her perfume is wuite expensive yet it doesn't matter. Her little girts are kept in a glass covered shelf to ensure protection and will never be broken.
I love gifting her her favorite items and seeing the cutest smiles on her face, i really really wish to spend my eternity with her forever. @Your.Name i love you so much😭😭

I need advice on where to take my girl on a date! D:
Any recommendations for places that's suitable for a date? I'm planning to propose to my dear girlfriend, we've been together for a solid 6 years and a half. We've talked about getting married and i think today is the day i propose to her. I can't think of any place thats perfect enough to do so.
Anything that would have a good view or maybe a little cute cat cafe beside it would be fine, I'm thinking of a little elegant theme..or maybe a little cute one? I really cant decide, i contacted my brothera but they couldn't take a single thing serious. Please actually take me seriously😭
My girl isn't that picky, but i myself think that what ever crosses my mind is simply not enough and that she deserves much better than what im thinking of, but of course i still need to atleast make the proposal romantic right?? 😭😭 Please give me recommendations, im absolutely desperate...

“hey did you hear about the music festival in town this weekend?” your friend, liliana, asks, making you wake up from the trance your computer put you in. you and liliana had been friends prior to college, meeting in your honors anatomy class in high school. with a similar career goal in mind, you two decided to go to the same college and become roomates. you two had been in your towns coffee shop for hours, trying to finish an assignment your biology professor gave you two.
“there’s a festival here? nobody ever comes out here.” you reply. nobody has ever done any concerts, festivals, or performances in your town. it was so small, they wouldn’t make enough profit so it just didn’t seem worth the trip. the only performances you ever saw were done by drunken men in your college bar.
“yeah! i don’t really know anyone that’s going though. it’d be nice to check out!”. she scrolls to find a post advertising the festival, with a list of who’s going. to nobody’s surprise, the list is small; 3 performers. “the tickets are only $50, we should go!!” she says whilst you’re reading the informative post. “i don’t know, lili, i mean who even are these people? is it even worth our money?” the idea of wasting your weekend at a festival, where you don’t know anyone playing, when you could be studying for finals makes you nervous.
“come onnn y/n, we can’t waste our uni years studying all the time! when we graduate, we’re gonna be swamped with med school work, might as well make the most out of the time we have!” liliana says cheerfully. sure, you could spare the hours, but you had so much on your plate. finals, work, and not even mentioning the fact you just broke up with your girlfriend of 4 years. you look at her face, she’s using puppy-dog eyes to hopefully persuade you into going. “i’ll think about it.”
you’re laying in your dorm room, back hunched over your laptop, with your hands in your hair. liliana was staying at her boyfriends house for the night, leaving you all alone. the amount of studying you’ve done in the past hours giving you a throbbing headache and double vision. you harshly close your laptop, saying “i’ll do it later.” in your head, lazily getting up to grab some advil from your medicine cabinet. you open the familiar bottle and pop a few pills into your mouth. walking to your bed, you plop down, and begin scrolling mindlessly on instagram.
then you remember what your friend was telling you about earlier, and you decide to look at your towns instagram. a new post making you curious as nothing had been posted since the fourth of july fireworks at the towns lake. you click on it, a flashy banner lighting up your screen.
GOLDWHIT GROVES FIRST EVER MUSIC FESTIVAL; FEATURING:
BEHIND THE ANGER
ELLIE WILLIAMS
DRAW MY BLOOD
THIS SATURDAY ONLY
you chuckle, finding the names of the bands amusing. one of them, however, drew your attention. the only one who was seemingly a solo performer, ellie williams. you decide to close your towns page and type the name into your search bar. your eyebrows raise at the amount of fan accounts this “ellie” has. you click on the only account with the blue verification symbol on it, her page filling your screen.
holy shit.
she was hot. like, really hot.
you click on her most recent post and it’s a video of her at one of her concerts. she’s playing an electric guitar furiously with gritted teeth. you hear girls screaming and see their hands reaching out trying to feel her. clearly, she craves all the attention so she pulls off her white wife beater, throwing it into the crowd. the screaming only intensifies as she has a douchey smile on her face. the video cuts of and you scroll through the different videos the post has, all of the same nature. you read the caption, “see you next time, dallas.” with no tags.
you open your messages app and begin typing to liliana.
you: ok maybe we should go to that festival i just stalked one of the performers and FUCKKK she’s hot
the bands have goofy names tho
“behind the anger” boy shaddup
you wait until you see the bubble appear, indicating she’s responding.
lili😦: TOLD U WE SHOULD GO! venmo me the money im buying tickets rn.
you laugh softly at her excitement to go, and open venmo, sending her $50. another message pops up.
lili😦: *photo attachment*
who were you looking at btw?
you open the message seeing the qr code for your ticket.
you: that ellie williams chick she looks like an asshole but a HOT asshole yk
i want her to play me like that guitar
gonna become a groupie😋
your tiredness takes over after texting lili for the past few hours, telling her goodnight and closing your phone.
the brightness of the morning sun wakes you up. it’s saturday, and thank GOD you had no classes today. you stay in your bed, opening tiktok. it kinda creeps you out that the first video is an edit of the girl you were gawking over last night. as the edit plays, you become even more excited for the festival later in the day. you look to the top of your screen for the time, 12:37. you partially curse yourself for letting yourself sleep in that late, getting up to brush your teeth.
lili😦: ARE U EXCITED FOR TN??
andrew is asking if he can come
smh he’s so clingy
kinda cute tho
the pinging of your phone causes you to finish brushing your teeth, spitting out the foam in your mouth and wiping your face.
you: i don’t mind
yall better not be like those concert couples
sitting on his shoulders n shit i’ll knock you off
you didn’t really mind as you’ve known andrew as long as you’ve know liliana. they’ve been together for the past six years, and you guys used to go on double dates with your ex all the time, it was like a little group.
lili😦: LMFAOOO we won’t
can we get ready tg 🥺
you have all the cute body glitter
you: sure come home whenever
you turn on the shower, grabbing a towel from the cabinet before hopping in. while washing your body, you begin thinking about what you’re gonna wear. you start to think about what ellie williams would notice you in, before laughing at yourself for being so delusional. she doesn’t know you, or care about you.
you’re just another girl.
hours had gone by, liliana and her boyfriend were hanging out at your shared apartment, pregaming and getting ready. the festival started at 4, and ended at 10. “hey y/n? where’s the-“ you walk in, and liliana is making a gawking face. “you look SO hot hello?” beaming at you. partially, you feel a little silly. you’re wearing the outfit she picked for you: a lacy cami, short black skirt, and a leather jacket. you have dark smudgey eye makeup, dark red lipstick, and star clips in your hair.
“i feel dumb.” you say, looking down and laughing at yourself. you never wore revealing clothes, being wayyyy too insecure to show yourself off this this. i mean, your boobs were spilling out of your shirt, your ass visible under your skirt, and your stomach uncovered. “shut the fuck up, you look good. we gotta leave soon- shit wait do you have pasties?”
as andrew drives the three of you to the concert, liliana in the front and you in the back, you become nervous. what if someone’s mean? what if something bad happens? what if it gets too cold? what if you start your period?
“y/n?” the calling of your name makes your head perk up. “we’re putting on that ellie chick, gotta know some of the music if you’re gonna SMASH her tonight!!” she says with a giggle. you roll your eyes as lili goes to her music app and selects her top song.
she’s my drug
the title pops up along with a photo of ellie lighting what looks like a joint. the song starts and it eases your nerves, her raspy voice over the melodic electric guitar makes a perfect combination. the excitement for the festival grows once again as the three of you near the festival.
you were kinda surprised at the amount of people that came. it looked like the entire town was there. there were a lot of unfamiliar faces wearing the bands merch. you saw a lot of girls wearing shirts with ellie williams’ tour dates on the back. “i hope the bands aren’t shit.” andrew says, laughing and getting out of the car. “at least we know one of the performers isn’t.” the three of you, out of the car, walk to the entrance. there were old-looking metal detectors that look like they were borrowed from the local police department. you all go through and have your bags checked and tickets scanned, walking towards the one and only stage.
the first band, behind the anger, got on stage. not many people were going crazy, but there were a few drunken men screaming their songs. liliana and andrew were enjoying them, but you were dying for something to drink, craving a shitty festival cocktail and a cigarette. tapping liliana on the shoulder, “hey, guys? i’ll be right back, i’m gonna grab something to drink.” you shout over the music. “alright, don’t take too long! your girlfriend should be out soon!” you roll your eyes laughing and shuffle your way out of the crowd.
walking up to the one and only vendor, you gaze on the menu. different beers, seltzers, cocktails, and liquors. “can i just cut infront of you? i gotta get up there soon.” you hear a voice behind you say. you turn around, partially offended and, holy shit.
it felt like a movie, a book, a fanfiction. what are the chances that she’s infront of you right now? you blink your eyes, not really believing what you’re seeing. nobody’s around you two besides the vendor, shocking as you’d expect girls flocking around her. it’s her. it’s ellie williams.
“excuse me?” you blurt out, not realizing how rude you sounded. i mean, you were just standing there, the only one in line, not moving. was it rude for her to ask. she kind of laughs at you, kissing her teeth. you got a good chance to look at her. she’s wearing cargo pants with a black wifebeater shirt that lifted slightly, allowing you to see what looks like abs, her tattoo covering her forearm, and her hair tied messily in a half-bun.
“i said,” she says, taking a half step towards you, “can i just cut infront of you?” you look around, dumbfounded. “no, you can’t. i’m ordering right now.” you say, matter-of-factly. you spin on your heels and order whatever shitty cocktail your eyes first land on and she chuckles at your behavior. the vendor types it into his tablet. “that’ll be $9.24. cash or card?” you open your purse, looking for the $10 bill you stuck in your purse for this exact reason. of course, like a fucking movie, it’s gone. “sorry just give me one sec.” you say, furiously looking through your purse, embarrassed.
“i got it, put it with mine. lemme get a rum coke.” the girl says flatly, slightly pushing you aside. you roll your eyes at the push and step aside, very embarrassed at the entire interaction. you grab a cigarette from your purse and attempt to light it, but the fluid is all out.
of course. how much more cliché could this get? ellie puts her card away in her wallet and shoves it into her front pocket as the vendor goes to make the two drinks. “need help?” she says, reaching her hand into her pocket and getting out a lighter, it was black and very scratched up. “these are bad for you, y’know?” she says in a cocky tone before grabbing her own and lighting it. the two of you were so far away from the rest of the crowd it that it was almost quiet.
“i’m studying to be a doctor, i know.” you say, the cigarette hanging limply between your lips still attempting to light it. “what’s a smart girl like you doing smoking and drinking then huh? you’re the one who’s supposed to tell people not to.” she says, bringing the lighter to the stick in your mouth and lighting it for you, the closeness of your face to her hands making you nervous. “pineapple cocktail and a rum coke?” you hear the vendor shout; the moment breaks and ellie pushes the lighter into her pocket before grabbing the two drinks, handing you yours before turning around and waving slightly, with the cigarette in her mouth.
“see you up there, doll.”
“bitch you will not believe what just happened” you say, finally making it back to where andrew and liliana were after having to shove through the crowd, almost spilling your drink all over yourself. “i just spoke t-“ the sound of screams interrupts your sentence and people push you and your friends forward, trying to get closer to the stage. you look up to see what is making people so eager, and see her. and holy shit, does she look good on stage. “how are we doing tonight, goldwhit grove?” she says into the mic, making the squeals of the girls around you erupt even louder, some drunkenly trying to take their shirts off before their more sober friends stop them.
after speaking into the mic for a bit about god knows what, you could barely hear her, she strums her guitar making people scream even louder. “what should we start out with?” she slurs into the mic. she looks like she’s on something, but what musician isn’t. you hear people screaming different names you haven’t heard of, before she says “she’s my drug? that’s all yall wanna hear.” she laughs before starting the song. it is her top song for a reason, it sounds phenomenal. you’re trying to enjoy your time, but the amount of people pushing you and stepping on your feet is annoying you.
after a few songs you hear her voice echo, “guys, let’s back it up a bit, you’re crushing people.” part of you wants to think she said that because she was looking at you, but you reality check yourself quickly. nobody listened, and you feel someone step on your heel for the hundredth time, finally deciding to say something.
“did you not hear her? i can barely breathe dude chill out.” you say to the drunken girl behind you. she looks angry, angry that you had the balls to speak up. she shoves you aggressively, making you bump into the person in front of you. now they’re mad at you too, for bumping into them so harshly. you try defending yourself when you feel a cold drink splashed on your chest. your final straw.
you shove your way out of the crowd, leaving behind your friends and deciding you’ll wait until ellie’s performance is over to join them again. once youre out, you make eye contact with the girl on stage. she has her head low and it almost looked like she was looking at you. you get lost on her, she’s playing so aggressively but strategically. before your imagination goes too far, you see her look around to the rest of the crowd, girls screaming when they look her direction.
you walk away, deciding to take a seat on the grass and light a cigarette while you wait. there were a lot of other people sitting around you, assuming they left for the same reason. you’re scrolling mindlessly on your phone until you hear a familiar voice.
“y/n?”
you look up, and it’s her. why the fuck did she have to be here? you were actually enjoying yourself, besides the few rude people, and she had to show up and ruin it all.
“what the fuck are you doing here abby?” you spit out. you’re furious. you haven’t spoken to her in a few weeks, and there were actually days you didn’t think about her at all. “hey, i was just trying to be nice. what are you all butt hurt about?” she says, towering over you sitting on the grass. she always made you feel small, not just physically, but mentally too. you sigh, not wanting to let her control your emotions any longer. the partially-distant sound of ellie’s guitar stopped, making it seem so much more quiet.
“you here with ava?” you spit out at her. she looks like she took that offensively, even though she was the one who cheated on you. “what’s that supposed to mean?” she says back, her tone becoming more aggressive. you push your cigarette into the grass, putting it out and standing up. “what are you wearing?” now that you’re closer, you notice her cheeks are red, and so are her eyes. she’s crossed. you know how she acts when she’s drunk, so you simply gather your things, trying to ignore the entire situation and join your friends. the people who were previously around you had gotten up to go back to the stage as ellie had gotten off.
“where are you going?” it sounds like she expects you to stay. to come running back. to cling to her. “to my friends.” you flatly state while walking away. you feel a hand grab your wrist. “i’m talking to you, y/n. it’s rude to walk away from people when they’re talking to you, y’know?” her tone is that of mockery. like you’re a child and she’s trying to teach you a lesson. “did the breakup make you gain that much weight? god i really ruined you huh?” you try to yank your hand away, “let go of me abby, seriously it’s not funny.” her grip doesn’t subside and only grows stronger, making you wince.
“she said no dude, can you not take a hint?”
you turn around and see ellie walking towards the conflict. this is so cliche. “are you a groupie now?” abby laughs at you, and as soon as she says that ellie shoves her off. as attractive as ellie was, abby was stronger. she was built, and she could take down almost anyone. “stop, this is dumb.” you say as they get close to each other. “yeah, yeah it is. don’t know why i’m getting all mad over a groupie slut. you can have her.” she says, walking out of the venue. you see a ditsy blonde girl following after her asking if she’s okay as she furiously walks, not responding to her. you try not to cry at her words, why does she still have such an effect on you?
“you okay?” you hear ellie asking you, almost forgetting she was there. “yeah- yeah. sorry about that. and thank you.” you say, extremely embarrassed while wiping your tears. she’s just looking at you. not saying anything. she didn’t know what to say.
“wanna go get a drink to cheer you up?”
that’s how you ended up in a random bar, with ellie fucking williams. after she asked you to drinks, she took you to the back stage, careful not to be spotted by any fans, where she grabbed her bags and headed for the exit. she was able to sober up before the ride home. while walking out, girls spotted her, running up and asking for her auto graph. she obliged for a few until one asked to sign her boobs, “i gotta go, girls.” her bodyguards following behind the two of you making them back off. you were expecting a van or a car, but no.
she rides a motorcycle.
she just got hotter.
lifting the seat, she tosses her bag into the large compartment, replacing the extra helmet which she handed to you. your heart was racing, you’ve never ridden on a motorcycle before. you nervously put the helmet on your head. “here, lemme help.” she says, pulling the band tightening the helmet ensuring it’s on tight, before tapping it lightly and swinging a leg over her motorcycle. she reached her bent elbow out, waiting for you to use her to help you get on. you grab onto her arm and swing your leg over, getting more comfortable.
“hold on.”
“so where’d you hear my music?” she says, babysitting another rum and coke looking at you intently. she was careful not to drink too much knowing she had to drive home. the two of you had been at the bar for two hours, just talking. a few people coming up every so often to get her autograph. “i actually just only heard about it the other day, through the festival.” you say shyly, hoping she won’t take offense. she laughs softly looking down. “i guess it’s a good thing for me huh? got another monthly listener and a pretty girl talking to me.” everything she says is so blunt, so easy.
you start to wonder how many other girls she’s charmed with the same line.
“wanna head out?” she says. “you can come back to mine- fuck, i can take you to yours. sorry, that sounded desperate.” she laughs, picking up the two helmets and your purse, handing it to you. with the bill paid, the two of you walked to her bike. she opens the door and waits for you to walk through.
“why don’t we go back to yours?” you say boldly. she looks surprised, and sets her helmet on her bike, placing yours gently on your head. she puts hers on, hops on the bike, and helps you get on.
“alrighty.”
you didn’t know how much you’d actually like being on a motorcycle. there’s so much adrenaline, she’s speeding through cars and air is whipping around the helmet. your chest is pushed tightly to her back, your hands wrapped around her waist. luckily, her wearing her helmet made it impossible for people to spot her, making it an easy ride back to her hotel, the only hotel in town. parking her bike in a designated spot, she holds her arm out allowing you to slide off easily, her following behind you. she opens up the bikes seat, grabbing her backpack, and locks it.
“we should hurry before someone spots you!” you giggle. the alcohol making you feel so light and ditsy, following her to her room like a lost puppy. she pulls the key out and unlocks it, holding the door for you and locking it after you. she tosses her things on the hotels desk as you lay down on her bed. smiling to yourself.
“what’cha smiling about pretty girl?”
you giggle, tapping the bed indicating her to lay next to you. “this doesn’t feel real” you laugh out as she crawls on the bed, “i mean, im living every gay girls dream right now, hello? i’m in a hotel with ellie *hic* williams!!” she laughs at your drunken state, reaching to the bedside mini fridge to grab a seltzer. “you’re cute, y/n”. your ears kinda perk up, not remembering when you told her your name.
“how do you know my name?” you say, squinting your eyes at her. she cracks open the can. “calm down, princess, i heard it when that dick was talking to you earlier.” you notice she becomes a little annoyed. “i’m glad i took money out of her pocket but fuck, i got douches at my show.” she takes a long drink from her can. your rose-colored glasses didn’t even care about abby right now, or how much ellie hated her from their first interaction, you just wanted more of her.
you snuggle closer to her, wanting to breathe her in. you’re on the left side of her, laying on your side as she’s on her back. the level of intimacy between the two of you makes your head spin. you guys just met. part of you feels bad that she, a fucking rockstar, probably wants more than a simple conversation and cuddling. you sit up slightly, trying to remove your shirt, “hey, what are you doing?” she says, looking confused. you’re struggling to take your shirt off, it being tight and you being drunk. “feel bad. you probably get girls eeeeveryday doin this.. know why you’s wanted m’here so- so i’ll do it.” your works are slurring and hardly making sense and you’re starting to get frustrated. partially from not being able to take off the uncomfortable shirt, and part from not wanted anything sexual now, not in this state and not when you hardly know her.
she grabs your hands and stops you, making you look at her. “hey, i don’t wanna do anything, ‘kay? we can watch a movie after i get you some clothes to change into.” you put your arms down watching her get up and get an oversized band tee. “don’know if it’ll fit, els.” you say, sadly. she turns around, waiting for you to try it on. “just try it, princess.” you try taking the shirt off again, but just can’t. you get so frustrated you start tearing up, making her turn around and help you. “m’gonna take it off okay?” you nod, lifting your arms as she helps you take your shirt off. “don’t look!!” you say, laughing and pushing her away. she turns around, laughing, “okay, okay” allowing you to put the shirt on and take your bra off from under the shirt. finally, you slip your skirt off.
“done!” you say, smiling watching her turn around as she makes eye contact with you, her face turning pink. she walks towards you, smiling down at you on the bed. “wanna watch a movie?” she asks, picking up a remote and a bag of what looks like joints, pulling one out along with the lighter in her pocket. you nod, asking “can i have one?” she closes the bag, replying “you’re way too drunk, sweetheart.” she flicks on the tv, putting on whatever shitty movie was playing on the hotel tv at the time. you both crawl under the bed, cuddling up into her. you hear a familiar click of the lighter, and the sound of the paper and weed burning. she plays with your hair, making you more and more sleepy, drifting off into a deep sleep state.
the next morning, you wake up unsure of where you are. you look around the room, its messy and there’s clothes, food, and drinks everywhere. you lift your head and look to the right and see none other, than ellie williams.
what the fuck happened last night?

The Wonderous Beauty of the Statuesque Scarlet
Jazz knew she was tall. It wasn't like it affected her life or anything (sarcasm). It wasn't like she didn't end dates early because the dude asked her if it was really necessary for her to wear heels. Yes, she was tall. And strong. On top of that, she had duties as Ghost Princess, so finding a partner was not easy for her. Or so she thought until a guy just her type bumps into her and completely bluescreens.

Even when she was in the waiting line of, let’s say, the bank and an old lady commented “wow you are tall!”; even when a date ended early because the guy kept asking why she had to wear heels if she was already tall; even when Danny threatened to kick her shins complaining about her inheriting their dad’s genes.
Yes. She was well aware she was very tall.
Thank you very much for pointing it out.
She was happy with her height, now — she had accepted that kids would look at her in awe and comment on her height, and that some would ask if she was an Amazon. And you know what? She embraced it now. Yes, she was tall, and big, and her biceps were noticeable — but that wasn’t because she was an Amazon, but because of all the training and the fighting that being the older sister of the King of the Ghosts entailed.
Not that she could say that out loud.
The thing is she was used to people stopping and staring at her, craning their necks and lifting an eyebrow, looking back down to check if suddenly the flat shoes she was wearing had magically turned into impossible high heels that explained her height.
What she wasn’t used to, though, was making a man completely bluescreen.
“Oops, sorry.” She quickly rushed to grab the dude’s arm when he stumbled after colliding with her.
“Uh…”
“I should have seen where I was going, sorry.”
He just kept looking up at her, eyes wide, body frozen in place. There wasn’t a single coherent thought behind those blue eyes. She would know, she was a psychologist.
“Are you alright?”
“Huh?”
She bit her lip, wondering what to do. This had never happened to her before.
“I… uh, I’m fine.” He finally blinked and came back to his body. She didn’t miss his eyes roaming towards her naked arms, and the bracelets on her wrists, official Wonder Woman merchandise.
“Ok. Then I should just—”
“Do you like coffee?”
She blinked. He blinked, slowly realizing what he said. His cheeks tinted a bit red in embarrassment.
“I’m more of a tea gal.” Jazz giggled, enjoying this maybe way too much. He was cute all flustered. It was a nice change from all the bullshit she got from men all the time.
“Do you want to— uh, I mean.” He breathed in, breathed out, gathering his thoughts. “What I want to say is, do you want to go for coffee — or tea! — with me?”
“Like, right now?”
She looked around. They were right in front of a coffee shop. He had been on his way in when she accidentally body slammed him.
“No! No. Not right now.” He looked away back at one of the tables set up on the street. Jazz turned to look as well, trying to see what he was looking at. “Maybe some other time?”
It felt nice being hit on like this. Refreshing.
Also, it helped that he was cute, and handsome in a bad boy way, with a leather jacket and combat boots. She wasn’t scared to admit to herself that she had a type and he checked a lot of boxes in her list.
“I would love to!”
She quickly searched in her purse for some paper — an old restaurant ticket — and a pen and wrote her number and her name, with a little smiley face.
“Here,” she grabbed his hand and put the paper with her number in it, closing his fingers around the ticket, just in case. Her hands were usually cold, a side effect of her liminality, but she hoped he assumed it was because of the weather. “I have to go, but text me soon!”
He smiled back at her, and Jazz knew she was a goner. He had this boyish crooked smile with a hint of a dimple.
She hoped he texted her back, once the awe of her height had passed.
***
“So…”
“Shut up.”
“I mean—”
“I said shut up, Dickhead.”
“She’s cute.”
Jason growled, his hands fiddling with the piece of paper with a phone number in it. He had to text her. Soon. If he waited then she would get the wrong idea that he wasn’t interested and he was very interested—
“She’s tall, huh?” His brother kept going, unprompted. “Did you see those muscles? I bet she could snap me in half. Hell, she could snap you in half.”
Yes. He had seen those arms. He had imagined them around him already.
“What are you waiting for? Text her!”
“We have a case to look over, though.” He tried to put the paper with the phone number in his jacket, but Dick was quicker and stole it from his hands.
“Jasmine. It’s a pretty name.” He hummed, considering. “Jasmine and Jason. It has a nice ring to it. Also both names start with J, funny coincidence, don’t you— Jay? What’s wrong?”
Jason had stopped listening, his mind going back to the conversation with her. He had been ridiculous and messed up everything; but did he really mess up something so simple?
“I forgot to tell her my name.”
Dick’s eyebrows went to his hairline, his lips stretching in a big smile. “That bad, huh?”
“Shut your mouth, Grayson.”
His reaction only made his brother’s smile get bigger, if that was physically possible. He placed his elbows on the table and rested his head on his open palms.
“Could this be love at first sight?”
“You know that doesn’t exist—”
“You are now living in a Hallmark movie, Jay.” Dick sighed dramatically. “So romantic.”
Jason breathed slowly, controlling his thoughts. If he got riled up by the teasing, he would only get even more teased and then the conversation would go nowhere useful. They had to compare notes for a case, it was kind of the whole point of meeting up with his brother, and both had things to do after this.
Jason thought the whole thing could have been an email; but again, if Dick hadn’t insisted on meeting at the coffee place because it was nice outside, he wouldn’t have gotten the phone number of the prettiest girl he had the pleasure of stumbling into.
“I’m living vicariously through you, just so you know.”
“Fuck off, Dickhead,” Jason snatched back the paper with the number and checked that it was still in one piece and the numbers hadn’t been smudged by his brother. It was fine. Even the cute smiley face drawing next to “Jasmine” was intact. “Let’s get to work.”
“I would, but someone forgot to get me my coffee~”
Oh shit.
Really?
Did he really forget to order their drinks? The one thing he had walked away from the table for?
Jason let his head fall onto the table, ignoring the laughs and giggles coming from his brother.
***
>>Hey.
>>Um
>>I'm Jason, the guy from the coffee shop?
>>Sorry for taking so long to text, I had stuff to do
>>Anyway, what do you think about next friday around 5?
>>You name the place
Jazz couldn’t help but smile down at her phone, reading back on the conversation with Jason.
She appreciated that he let her choose the meeting place, which was a good sign. After suggesting a nice coffee place that worked as a library as well, he commented he loved that place too and asked her if she had taken a book from there.
Turns out he loved books too, and didn’t shy away from any genre of literature — from classics to modern trashy romance.
His favorite author was Jane Austen. He tried not to geek too much, but after sending her a photo of his first edition Pride & Prejudice, that had a lot of sticky notes and his own annotations, she knew he was a big Austen nerd.
The contrast was more shocking when he turned up with a biker leather jacket, a white shirt, jeans and the same combat boots. He was combing back his flattened curls, complaining about parking in Gotham and that he hoped he didn’t make her wait too long.
She had to wait, but only because she arrived fifteen minutes earlier than the meeting time.
Not that she would tell him.
Jazz felt her mind become fuzzy as she watched him smile that crooked smile again, complimenting her carefully put together outfit — shut up Danny, she wasn’t trying to impress anybody — and the braid she spent so long trying to get right, undoing and redoing it.
“I have a sister that likes braiding her hair, and a friend of the family that usually comes over as well. They always complain when I don’t do it right.”
“Did they teach you how to braid?”
He chuckled, taking a sip of his latte. “Actually, funny enough, my little brother taught all of us. His mother let him do her hair and made him practice until he got it right.”
Jazz had a pinch in her chest like every time loving mothers were mentioned. “That’s nice,” her voice betrayed nothing as she looked down at her hands cupping her tea. “I tried to teach my little brother, but he didn’t have much interest.”
“Too girly for him?” He lifted an eyebrow, leaning in with a tiny smile so she knew he was joking.
She appreciated the change in topic, and she liked the opportunity to talk about Danny. “Nah. I mean, he had a ‘ugh, girls suck’ phase and stuff, but fortunately it didn’t last long.” Because then he had to become a superhero, but she couldn’t exactly say that.
Both laughed a little before a comfortable silence settled in their table. A few times their eyes met over the lids of their cups, making Jazz blush and look away.
“So… have you read anything interesting lately?”
From then on the conversation barely stopped. Jazz had never talked that much before, at least not about her favorite books and why she liked them. Jason listened, actually listened to what she said and added his own comments and corrections, no matter what she threw at him, showing he was also interested in the same things.
He talked as well, mentioning his own first edition collection and how his father let him have a private library with all the books he wanted. He talked around some topics, like his childhood or stuff about his father, but she didn’t want to pry. It didn’t feel shady, more like… it felt familiar, not wanting to bring up painful memories. She could understand that.
They asked for more coffee and more tea, and those chocolate chip cookies that looked delicious, talking and debating about the pros and cons of reading on a kindle or paperback.
The sun was low by the time they finished their drinks and the cookies, and neither really wanted to go home just yet. Jazz’s stomach grumbled. She was so hungry and the cookies only helped to awaken her stomach.
“Wanna… go have dinner?”
She looked up at him, blushing a little. “A coffee and a dinner date? You really are the full package.”
His cheeks tinted a bit red, but he didn’t look away. “Would hate to cut the night short when I’m enjoying my conversation with a beautiful lady.”
Jazz felt her cheeks catch fire. Jason had been cute and kind the whole time, but this was the first actual “move” he pulled on her.
And it was working.
She wanted to continue.
At her approval, they paid the bill — split in half, and he didn’t make a fuss about it. Good — and walked back out to the cold night in Gotham.
Jazz shivered a little. Maybe a flowery summer dress wasn’t the best for the night, but she didn’t expect being out so late. Time really flies when you are having fun, huh?
“Not used to Gotham's micro climate?” He commented.
She looked back at him, stopping her hands rubbing her naked arms. She had noticed he liked her arms so maybe the dress didn’t have sleeves. So what.
“How did you know I’m not from around here?”
“It’s obvious you’ve been in the city for a while, but your midwestern accent still stands out.” So he was observant, and had been analyzing her as much as she did him. “Do you want my jacket?”
It was so cliché that she just giggled. “Sure, if you don’t mind.”
Jason took off his jacket and extended it to her. It fit her frankly well! He was a bit shorter than her but he was more built and had wider shoulders, so the jacket sat comfortably on her body and gave her enough room around her arms and, thank the Ancients, around her chest. Maybe she should look around the men's section of the clothing store instead of getting frustrated with women’s clothing that never fit correctly.
“Thank you,” she said with a smile, which he acknowledged with a nod.
Now that he didn’t have the jacket, she could admire how the white shirt he wore left little to the imagination. It wasn’t too tight, but it creased in the right places and it let his muscular arms really shine.
He hit the gym regularly, that was obvious, but he wasn’t obsessed about it. He carried himself with the confidence of someone that knew what they had and didn’t need to make a show to get attention. Still, he carried himself with certain deliberateness — relaxed shoulders, quiet steps, head slightly down.
Jazz was used to Danny employing the same techniques to separate himself from his Phantom persona, to not be noticed just in case someone looked too close.
She was willing to set aside the thought. After all, Jason had been a delight the whole time and she had noticed many green flags in the time they talked. If he wanted to hurt her or if he was involved in shady stuff, she would have known already.
Also, it wasn’t like he could overpower her. She was strong. Stronger than a human, even with his size and probable training.
And Danny always said she needed to live a little. Maybe that meant dating around a bit, get to know new people, sleep with a cute guy—
Wow. That came out of nowhere.
She blushed, realizing she did like this guy. Enough to consider letting her hair loose a little. They were consenting adults, right? If he was interested and she was interested, then why not?
“Where do you want to eat dinner?” He asked as they arrived at his parked bike. And what a bike! She wasn’t an expert in these things, but it looked expensive and well maintained — well loved.
“I chose the coffee place, you choose the dinner place?” She shrugged, and the movement sent a puff of his scent to her nose. He smelled like gunpowder and engine oil.
Jason nodded and opened a side trunk to withdraw the helmets, giving her one. It was crimson red, matching the bike. “Alright, I know a place.”
***
Jazz was beautiful.
From the moment he arrived — finding her sitting at the table, looking at her phone — he understood why so many writers and poets could go on about the beauty of their partners. It would sound cliché, but his mind started comparing her soft looking skin to flower petals, and the pink of her lips—
Stop, Jason.
He knew she was smart and shared some interests with him, but he got the impression she was the shy kind over text and preferred meeting in person. He’d hoped that this date gave him a better insight into her character.
So they talked. For hours.
Honestly he didn’t have ulterior motives for this meeting. If it went well, he was interested in knowing her more, that’s for sure. It had been a while since he just hung out with someone for non-work related issues, and dating wasn’t really one of his priorities; but if this Amazon goddess liked his company as much as he had liked hers so far, he was willing to try.
The restaurant he took her to was cozy and not that well known, but the food was great. When they got there he couldn’t help but notice how she attracted everyone’s gaze, how her height and her beauty were such a beacon of light for the people around her.
She didn’t seem to care, though — her eyes were either fixed on her hands fiddling with the hem of the sleeves of his jacket or on him as she talked about the latest movie she had seen.
They sat down in a relatively secluded corner of the restaurant, the soft light hanging on the wall giving it all a romantic touch that was just perfect for the occasion.
Jazz took off his jacket now that they were indoors, and he lamented not taking a picture of her flowery dress and biker jacket combo. Maybe she would want to wear it again. He hoped so.
Silver lining, now she had her arms uncovered again, letting him — subtly — admire her biceps and her bracelets. She confirmed it was a Wonder Woman official jewelry line, and that she bought it to be funny but now was too committed to the bit.
Dinner was nice as well. After warming up at the café and talking about anything and everything, dinner felt a bit more personal, a bit of a deep insight of themselves.
She talked about her brother a lot. About her passion to become a great psychologist and the steps she had been taking towards her dream. About her parents — albeit she tried not to “be a bummer” and “get all depressed on such a nice date”.
She had a past she wasn’t ready to share, and he respected that, so he only kept his questions about her passion, her work and more stories with her brother.
It was around dessert that the conversation ramped down into more and more silence — not because they didn’t have things to say, but because, at least for him, the way the fairy lights illuminated her face was very distracting.
They shared a chocolate cake slice for dessert. She had a bit of chocolate on the corner of her lips, but she didn’t notice.
He didn’t think about his next move, he just leaned in over the tiny table and kissed the chocolate away. It helped that they had unconsciously gotten closer as they talked.
Her face was flushed when he sat back down on his chair, licking his lips. The cake was good, but her red cheeks looked tastier.
He wanted more.
“Um—”
Maybe she didn’t want more?
Jazz looked a bit lost for a second, her mouth open as she thought of what to say.
“Yeah?” He lifted an eyebrow.
She scrunched her nose, apparently having decided, and this time she leaned over the table, grabbing him by the shirt and pulling him into a proper kiss.
Her kiss was timid, like she didn’t want to scare him away or expected him to push her away any moment. When seconds passed and instead of rejecting her, he placed his hand on the base of her head to angle her better, she got braver and bolder, pressing her lips against his with a little more intensity than before.
She wanted him.
“Ahem!” A throat was cleared next to them, breaking the moment.
Jazz jumped back to her seat, her face completely red, looking down at the table like she had done something wrong.
Jason smiled up at the waiter, who was smiling politely but completely insincere. He knew this waiter, they weren’t friends, but Jason knew he had a little brother and that he was a student at Gotham University.
“Is the food to your liking?”
“Very.” He wasn’t talking about the food. The waiter’s eyebrow twitched, but his smile stayed in place. “Can we please get the check?”
“Right away, sir.”
Jason didn’t even look at how much everything was, his eyes glancing back at Jazz’s face and her lips — the way she was biting them, the way her eyes were eating him whole.
The walk back to the bike was quieter, with many stops to kiss and many burning side glances and handholding. He couldn’t get enough of her giggles every time he pulled her down for a quick kiss, or the feel of her hands on his shoulders, her strong arms around him.
Finally they reached the bike, safely parked on a quiet alley. It was late and no one was around, so he pulled her into the shadows for a more proper kiss, letting himself get lost in the taste of chocolate on her tongue.
Jazz was biting her lip when they parted for air, mischief in her eyes, which should have warned him of what she would do next. The world spun for a second as she grabbed him by the shoulders, switching their positions and slamming him against the wall with maybe a bit more strength than was necessary.
A traitorous moan escaped his throat.
“Oh?” She smiled. Of course she heard him.
“Don’t say a word.”
Her smile got wider. “Okay.”
In the heat of the moment she got bolder. She kissed him without any ounce of the shyness she had during their date — she was ravenous, eating him completely, holding him firmly against the brick wall.
He was warm, too warm, and the cold wind was starting to get uncomfortable.
“Do you… wanna continue?”
Jazz nodded, panting. “Your place or mine?”
***
The sun was shining right on her face, and since she was an early riser, no matter her activities last night, she was now wide awake.
That didn’t mean she had to get up from bed just yet. Because she didn’t want to.
Jason was also awake in her arms as they enjoyed the quiet lazy morning, hearing each other breathe, feeling each other’s warmth.
It was quiet in the apartment, a big contrast to the night they spent together. Jazz blushed and nuzzled her face against Jason’s curls in an attempt to hide from the world. She really got carried away, but there was something about him that made it impossible to resist — they only had one date, for Ancients’ sake.
He was so sweet and caring and cute and handsome and very irresistible. She just couldn’t stop, didn’t want to stop, and more than once she had to catch herself before she hurt him or did anything that was obviously inhuman. If she slipped, she hoped he forgot about it, too buried under the pleasure and the distracting activities from last night.
Jazz was positive that she had left some scratches and bites on him, and a quick look confirmed that his back and shoulders were—
Wait.
These looked at least a day old, almost completely healed. She knew wounds, she knew how long it took for a human to heal from what she did to him, and this was closer to what she expected from Danny’s partners’ healing factor.
She tried to not freak out, but he noticed her tense up.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
He turned around, eyes searching to see what was wrong, clearly not buying her shaky voice.
She saw the moment he noticed something was wrong about her, his eyes going down her face and staying on her neck, one hand reaching to touch the skin on her left shoulder. She could still feel the ghost of the bite in that area, a bite that probably had already healed by the morning.
By the way Jason’s eyes went wide, she knew he noticed the inconsistency.
Uh oh.
“What—?”
“I can explain.” He should, too, since he wasn’t normal either. Maybe he wasn’t human?
Not that it would make her less interested, but she was curious.
“Are you a metahuman?”
Jazz made a face. “Technically, no.”
He narrowed his eyes and shuffled away from her, his body tense. “What are you?”
“Something else.” She didn’t want to keep it vague, but she didn’t know who he was or who he could be working for. “And you?”
Jason’s eyes narrowed further at the accusatory tone. Jazz didn’t like how the quiet morning had turned to this, but if her security — and Danny’s — had been compromised, she had to push her feelings for Jason to the side. Danny was more important.
“You targeted me?” He now had a knife. Where did that come from? “Was the whole ‘date’ thing a set up?”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
His eyes flashed green for a second. If she blinked, she would have missed it. “Don’t lie—”
“Wait.”
“What?”
Jazz lunged in, ignoring the very real and very sharp knife Jason had in his hands. If he stabbed her it would heal in a minute.
She placed her hands on his face, focusing, trying to see in the blue if the green would manifest again. She ignored him as he started to protest — vaguely registering that he put the knife away — humming in thought. Just to test, she let her core send a ping, a small wave of energy, only meant to say ‘hello’ to nearby ectoentities.
Jason somehow answered back, his eyes becoming green for a second.
“— the actual fuck is going on?”
Jazz blinked and came back to the situation, finally noticing she was almost straddling the man, her hands gently but firmly cradling his head. And she was still naked.
“You died.”
Jason’s cheeks had been slightly tinted pink, but now he was white as a sheet.
“How—”
“We’re the same,” Jazz made a face, “technically. I haven’t died, yet, but I do have one foot in the grave so to speak.”
“And you think we’re the same because…” He wasn’t believing her fully, but just enough to not pick up the knife again.
“Your eyes, they do this.”
She let her power flow freely, not needing to hide her inhumanity anymore. She saw the moment he understood, because his tense body relaxed and basked in her presence, her emotions projecting the calm and slight joy at finding someone like her.
His eyes swirled green in response to hers.
“I… I don’t—” he tried to speak through the stupor, “I’ve never—”
“You didn’t know?” About liminality, about ghosts, about people like her.
He licked his lips, blinking to refocus. “What are you?”
He really didn’t know. Someone would pay for letting him wander alone without guidance.
“I am Jasmine Nightingale, a liminal human.” His eyebrows went to his hairline. “I was born human but events led to me becoming deeply acquainted with the dead and everything in between. Like you.”
Maybe it was the influence of her aura still filling the room, or her serene voice, but he believed her.
“So you approached me—”
She hated that he looked hurt at the thought.
“I didn’t target you. I didn’t know you were like me until just now — I usually seal my liminality when I’m in the living world.” One of her hands moved to grab the white streak that now looked so obviously inhuman. “I should have known,” she chuckled, “the only good guy I manage to have a decent date with is not completely human.”
He frowned at her comment, making her freeze. Jazz quickly recoiled and withdrew her power, watching as he noticed the change.
There were a few moments of silence where she let go of him and waited as Jason pondered the new information.
His eyes were blue when he looked back up. “You’re not quite human,” she nodded. One of his hands lifted to touch her face, as if he was trying to make sure she was still the same person. “And I’m like you.”
“Kinda.”
He hummed. Birds chirped outside, reminding her that this was supposed to be a quiet morning in bed with the cute date she somehow scored. Nothing can be simple with her, huh. Figures.
“You really didn’t know about me?”
It was something in his eyes when he said it — a guarded sadness. She had seen that look a few times on their date, usually when he obviously changed the topic of conversation. He had been hurt before, and he lived life waiting for the moment someone else would hurt him again.
“I swear on my life, Jason. I only said yes to the date because I thought you were cute. Nothing else.”
His mouth twisted. “I’m not cute.”
“Yes you are.”
He rolled his eyes, letting go of her face and slumping back to rest on the pillow. “Am not.”
She leaned in, her long hair sliding over her shoulder and making a barrier that shielded them from the sunlight coming from the window. She felt his eyes roam through her face and down her body, reminding her that she was as naked. And so was he.
When he looked back up, his gaze was burning with reignited desire.
“Should I spend this fine morning convincing you?”
His breath hitched, the muscles of his stomach tensing in anticipation. “Nothing you can do will change my mind.”
Jazz’s smile widened when she caught the playful tone in his voice. He wanted this. He wanted to continue. And maybe a repeat of last night.
Alright then.
This time she didn’t need to hold back.
She let her hands rest on his shoulders, pinning him down to the mattress. She used a bit more strength than what was necessary, but not enough to hurt; just enough to make the point that if she wanted, she could do so much more.
By his sudden blush going all the way up to his ears, he got the message.
Jazz licked her lips, ready to devour that cute smile and every sound she could force out of it.
***
“Are you sure about this?”
“Positive.”
Jazz looked down at their entwined hands, squeezing Jason’s fingers, trying to ground herself.
It was silly being this nervous — it wasn’t like they were teenagers. If her boyfriend’s family didn’t approve of her they couldn’t actually do anything. Not that they would disapprove. Jason was sure they would love her, he told her so too many times on different occasions.
But it was… an experience. Knowing that your boyfriend of a few months was part of the Waynes. She usually forgot because Jason didn’t frequent the Manor and had a life outside of the glitz and glamor, so it had never affected their relationship.
That was until they learned about her existence — Jason didn’t hide her, but he wasn’t going to share every bit of his personal life — and asked if she wanted to come over to dinner one day.
Jazz didn’t mind, so she said yes. After all, Jason already knew Danny and had “passed the vibe check”, Danny’s words, so she took it as a sign that it was fine if they became official-official.
Still, she was very nervous. This relationship had been the longest she ever had and she knew how important family approval was and it didn’t matter that Jason was a bit estranged from the family, it did matter for her anyway and—
“I can hear you panic from here.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Yes, I do.”
“No. You don’t.” She rolled her eyes. “Are we doing this or not?”
Jason narrowed his eyes at her, not believing her at all, but let it slide. There was no point in arguing at the door.
“It will be fine.” He leaned so he could whisper. “They can be a lot but they’re harmless. Also I’ll protect you.”
She looked at him funny. Both knew she was the stronger one between them, a fact he very much enjoyed, so he didn’t mean it as in physical protection.
Jazz breathed slowly, taking in the offering of support. Jason would be there, he wouldn’t let them be mean to her.
Why the hell would they be mean to her? Silly Jasmine. They were just a family. Stupid rich, famous celebrities and very public faces in Gotham — but Jason’s family nonetheless.
She got this.
At her nod, Jason rang the bell and immediately it was opened by the butler. Alfred, if she remembered correctly. Was he on the side of the door, waiting?
“Welcome home, master Jason,” he nodded at them, “and Miss Jasmine.”
“Jazz is fine.”
The butler smiled, clearly not having any intention of using the nickname. Jason had warned her that Alfred could be a “petty motherfucker”, but that it was to the people he liked. She took it as a good sign.
“Please, come in.”
Jazz took another deep breath and walked into the gigantic Manor and straight into the fray. Maybe literally.
Inside there were so many people just looking at her, analyzing her, with various curious expressions.
“Told you she was real.” She heard what was supposed to be a quiet whisper, and a blonde girl elbowed a black haired guy next to her. Stephanie and Tim, going by Jason’s descriptions; which while colorful and varied in expletives depending on how mad he was at them, were actually very accurate. “Pay up, bitch.”
The guy grumbled but placed a few bills in her awaiting hand.
Jazz had to chuckle. That was weird, but funny. It made her relax a little.
“Ah, Jasmine, right?”
The voice made her look away from the people watching her like she was some kind of exotic animal (truly, what the hell was so interesting about her?) to find—
No.
It couldn’t be.
Could it?
Her liminal boyfriend’s adoptive father couldn’t be the actual Batman.
But the aura was the same, the same height and build, the same slight touch of death. Her eyes were sharp enough to catch the almost invisible and well healed scars on the man’s chin and the ones peeking from the black turtleneck.
He carried himself differently too, more relaxed, and if she wasn’t already onto him she would have been fooled.
Jazz smiled and shook the hand he offered, making a conscious effort to not squeeze his hand and reveal herself too quickly just to be petty. That was Danny’s thing. For now she would observe and behave like the perfect girlfriend.
They did make it hard, though. The whole Wayne clan was not what you’d expect from Gotham’s high society and acted more like a bunch of misbehaving kids in an unsupervised classroom.
It made sense now how Jason was so… so different than what you’d expect from the son of a socialite. At first he acted a bit guarded and checked that she didn’t take all the prodding and roughing between siblings and family friends badly; but once she laughed at the insanity he relaxed and let himself be part of the bickering like he belonged there.
She watched them interact, noticing the details that made it obvious now that the whole flock was a bat or bird — the question is who was who.
As she tried to play Guess Who with the Gotham heroes, it slowly dawned on her that Jason was another hero too. All the canceled dates and dodged questions about what he did in his free time. All his secrets and poorly disguised attempts at being subtle fit together in a single picture.
The Red Hood.
Danny was going to flip. If Jason hadn’t “passed the vibe check” already he definitely would have now.
Which she was more than fine with, if Jason was Red Hood. It actually made it easier for her to introduce him to the remaining secrets she was keeping from him until Danny gave the okay. After that night’s dinner, something told her that he would be fine with revealing herself to Jason.
Maybe Batman would stop being so difficult in the League meetings. The man had a thousand questions and didn’t trust anything they said, always asking for a second and third opinion. It didn’t become an open animosity because it was obvious it came from a place of caution and not hatred, but made the meetings drag for hours and Jazz’s royal armor was very uncomfortable to wear for so long.
Bruce didn’t seem to make the connection yet. If he did he was a great liar, because he did a one eighty from the dark vigilante and League member that drilled her and her brother with questions. He was more like… a hopeful puppy. Glancing between Jason and her, watching every touch and casual caress like a hawk.
Jason had mentioned that his relationship with his father had been very bad for a long time, but that they were working on it. Maybe he hoped that being nice to her got him cookie points in his son’s mind.
Whatever the case, she was going to have fun with this. As a treat.
***
Jasmine was… very tall.
Bruce’s mind was still repeating the moment she entered the Manor.Even at his six foot two he had to look up to smile at the guest. Not that he disliked tall women or thought that it was a bad thing, it was just an observation — maybe she was secretly an Amazon? Jason said he had looked into her enough to know that wasn’t the case; and had threatened with blowing up the Batcave if he dared investigate his girlfriend, so Bruce just observed. For now.
But she was too soft to be an Amazon, Bruce decided as the evening progressed. She smiled easily and didn’t have that constant battle-ready stance the Amazons he knew had. So he relaxed with the idea that Jason genuinely liked this civilian woman, she honestly liked him back, and she could be a good thing for his son.
If only he could shake the nagging thought that she felt familiar. Had they met before? He would remember meeting such a woman with striking red hair. She was definitely not a hero or Jason would have introduced her as such; nor she was a person that frequented the social circles Brucie Wayne did, given her humble origins and honest, hardworking job as a therapist.
It was something in her eyes, he considered by the time dinner was served. They were a shade of blue he had never seen before, and with the right light he could almost glimpse green highlights, but from this distance he couldn’t be sure.
In any case, Bruce decided she was good. Family oriented, unafraid to say what she was thinking, and with a dark sense of humor that Jason was completely smitten with. Bruce knew that look, his son was a goner whether he knew it or not.
She fit perfectly in their family, he decided as well, watching her bicker with Stephanie about some celebrity drama that Bruce didn’t know about, taking the knife Jason was waving in Tim’s direction without even looking at her hands. She flowed with ease in the chaos and had an answer for any question without revealing anything about herself she wasn’t willing to say. Among a family of detectives, that took some skill.
Bruce was curious about her, about where she came from, but for his son’s sake he was ready to set his paranoia aside and trust that she wasn’t secretly a villain.
He did such a good job once he made the decision, up until they were saying their goodbyes. Bruce was pleasantly surprised when Jasmine– when Jazz hugged him instead of doing a handshake. Her arms were firm around him and her height let her comfortably rest her head against his, a soft gesture far removed from Diana’s strong hugs against her muscled chest.
Jazz took a breath and said: “See you on Monday, B.”
This puzzled him. Monday? Why would he see her on Monday? Bruce was not needed anywhere on that day; in fact, Batman was supposed to be in Watchtower duty on Monday. And the follow up meeting with the King of the Ghosts.
When they parted, surrounded by the noise of the others messing around and bickering with Jason, it dawned on him as he saw her eyes from this close.
Green.
They glowed slightly green, unnaturally green, if you saw them this close. Her skin was pale, with freckles that reflected stars under the house’s lights.
He knew someone else that fit all of these characteristics, someone in his life as Batman.
Jasmine smiled widely, watching him put it together with mischievous glee. She patted his shoulder a little bit too hard for what was considered normal, and walked away to join her boyfriend out of the Manor.
Paralyzed, Bruce watched them go.
***
Jazz giggled against her hand, trying not to be too obvious.
“What’s so funny?”
“You’ll find out soon.”
Jason looked at her weird but still continued walking to the bike, slightly swinging their joined hands, an extra spring to his step. This visit had been important, she knew, but hadn’t realized exactly how important it was for him. For all the trash talk and exasperation, Jason was a family man and valued the opinion and approval of the others.
And she had passed the test, if she had read their reactions well.
Well, let’s hope that the thing with Batman goes well too, since she needed his approval as well as Bruce Wayne’s. Funny enough Jazz was way calmer than before going to meet the family — Batman was just a man, and it simply wasn’t the same as meeting your boyfriend’s father. She didn’t have any reservations about fighting Batman if it came to it, he had been rude to her and her brother, and had lost all respect she had before they started the process of establishing a relationship between the Realms and the Living World.
But before she even considered what she would do the next Monday, Jazz knew she needed to have a conversation with Jason. If her suspicions were true and he was the Red Hood, whatever was going to go down with Batman was of his interest. Also, if they were going serious, he deserved to know about the Princess thing as well.
She waited until they were at his apartment to open her mouth about it. She let them both settle in, Jason shedding the jacket before going to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Jazz watched him, quietly standing at the door.
“Jason.”
He looked at her over the rim of the glass, eyebrows raised in question.
“We need to talk.”
He choked on the water.
***
“I don’t think we can mansplain, manipulate, manwhore our way out of this one, Little Wing.”
At his side, Jason sighed and took off his helmet so he could comb back his hair as he gathered his thoughts.
They were trapped, and even if they could probably get out of the gang base in one piece, then they would lose this chance to finally bust the drug operation Jason had been working on for the last few months. The gang would be out of Gotham by sunrise and the drug would be distributed elsewhere anyway.
Dick didn’t blame his brother for jumping into the gang base like this — it had been a last minute decision and he didn’t expect this much resistance. At first he had been annoyed that he had to coordinate with Nightwing since it was supposed to be a simple thing; but as they finally infiltrated the base they realized it had been a trap. Jason’s informant had sold them out and they were waiting for the vigilantes.
Calling for backup from the other bats was not an option. They were either busy with their civilian lives and couldn’t help until it was too late, or were away on a superhero mission.
Jason was thinking something along those lines, because he was growling and grabbing on his hair, cursing under his breath.
They were hiding in an empty room in the abandoned office building the gang was using as a base. It was small and only had one window, and the door couldn’t be locked but they pushed a heavy desk in front of it just in case.
It was safe, but they couldn’t move. Inside the building there were too many armed gang members looking for them, and some of them had night vision gear. Outside, there were snipers posted on the roof and hidden in nearby buildings, and they didn’t know where exactly they were.
They needed help. But nobody could arrive in time. If only—
An idea!
“But we could malewife.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
Dick turned to fully face his brother, the light pollution of the city coming from the window enough to illuminate Jason’s confused frown.
“Call Jazz.”
“What?”
“Yeah! She’s free right now, right?”
“Yeah because I stood her up!” He growled. “We were supposed to be on a movie date two hours ago!”
“So she’s free.”
“I don’t think you are focusing on the important part here.”
“She won’t be mad at you, she knows about the vigilante thing.”
Jason huffed. “That she knows doesn’t mean she won’t be mad.”
“You won’t know until you call~” Dick hoped his smile was reassuring. “I bet this is not the first time something is canceled because of your night activities.”
“It... It isn’t.”
“Was she mad, then?”
His brother looked at his feet, thinking for a moment. Finally, he said with a small voice. “No.” After another moment, he added: “She was very supportive, actually.”
Dick contained the instinct to squeal in joy. They were just so cute, the most adorable couple, and they fit so well with each other. Jason was the happiest he had ever seen him, ever; and when they were together his laughs were easy and his smiles were constant.
It didn’t hurt to know she accepted his brother in all aspects, guns and vigilantism included. Or that she herself was a protector of sorts.
The Princess of the Infinite Realms.
Not an Amazon as they suspected, but she sure was something else.
(It didn’t save Jason from being teased for dating a Princess, though.)
So it meant she was a hero too, or could potentially help them out of the situation.
“Good!” Jason looked at him, confused. “So call her and ask her if she can come and get us out of here.”
“I won’t force this life on her—”
“You kinda did the moment you guys came clean about secrets and went steady, Jaybird.” He patted his brother’s shoulder. “If she wasn’t willing to be a part of your life, all of it, she wouldn’t have said yes.”
Jason processed his words for a few seconds. With a defeated sigh, he put on the helmet again and connected the call.
“Hey.” Dick couldn’t hear Jazz’s voice clear enough to understand the words, but the tone was loud. “I know… I’m sorry.” Jason sighed. “Got caught up at work.”
Dick snorted as more loud words came from the helmet.
“I’m sorry, I thought it wouldn’t take this long— yeah, he’s here… really? Ugh.” He looked up at him. “Jazz says hi.”
“Hello~!”
“Dick says hi back. Hm… yeah. Yes. Can you? If you can’t— What, really?” Jazz was calmer as she spoke now. Jason’s body relaxed, so Dick took it as a good sign. “We are in a meeting room at the southwest corner of the empty office building close to the Elliot Memorial. The one with an antenna— Ok? Ok.”
“Tell her about the snipers.”
“Yes. There are snipers everywhere. Please, darling, be careful— Shut up.” He grumbled. “That’s not funny. No, I won’t say it— Okay,” he grumbled again and groaned loudly, one hand sliding down the face of his helmet, “you are right. Happy?” He hummed, ignoring Dick’s snickering. “See ya. Love you. Bye.”
With a sigh, he took the helmet off again.
“You guys are so cute.”
It was a testament of how long they’ve been dating, because Jason didn’t even blush at the comment, he just glared at him.
“She said she’ll be here in five minutes.”
Dick hummed. “Excited to see her in action?”
Now he blushed. “No.”
“Yes, you are.” And before his brother could continue bullshitting, he added: “I get you completely, though. There is something about strong women kicking ass— I’m not a coward, I’m man enough to admit that watching Starfire fight was a major turn on back when we dated.”
Jason scoffed and ignored him, not wanting to continue the conversation.
“There is nothing wrong with wanting to get railed by a strong, tall woman, Jay.”
“Is this really the time and place for such conversation?”
No. It really wasn’t, since they were hiding in a shitty meeting room as hundreds of people were searching for them to kill them. But Jason’s face was getting more and more red and it was totally worth it.
“I just don’t want you to deny yourself—”
“My sex life is none of your business, Dickhead.”
There was a brief pause as Jason glared at him, the effect lost in his red cheeks.
“But do you?”
“Do I what.”
“Wish for her to pick you up and manhandle you as she wishes?”
Bingo. He looked away. “None of your business.” He repeated a bit more weakly. Dick bit back a smile, waiting for his brother to crack. It wasn’t long before he sighed and said: “She’s very into trying anything and has the strength to back it up. We had… talked. About things.”
“She has a strap, then?”
“That’s it. Conversation over.” Jason crossed his arms, huffing.
Dick raised his hands in defeat, still smiling. “Okay, I’m sorry. I won’t pry.”
His brother didn’t quite believe him, but let him be, turning to glare at the window as if he could make Jazz suddenly materialize with the power of his mind.
Fool.
As if they hadn’t already seen the bites and hickeys she left on him. Was he even trying to hide them? Tim’s theory is that he wanted everyone to know who he belonged to like some kind of kink going on. Not that anybody was judging! Everyone has their kinks and gods know that each of them has seen and knows too much about the others’ sexual lives — word traveled fast down the hero grapevine and the walls in the Manor weren’t as thick as you would think.
So far Jason had managed to stay safe from it since he was very private and the thing with Roy had been very lowkey — Dick still couldn’t forgive that he found out a year into their relationship, and neither had told him — but Jazz was now a regular at the Manor, between the whole Infinite Realms talk and Alfred taking it upon himself to teach her how to cook edible food, so the couple was around the family plenty of time.
“‘I wouldn’t mind dying if it’s between those thighs’, right?”
“What?”
“You. That thought must have crossed your mind, yes?” He shrugged. “It surely did cross mine more than one back when Kori—
The window was slammed open, the long body of Jason’s girlfriend swiftly sliding inside in one smooth movement. She was tall, but she knew how to move.
“Hello, boys.” She breathed once she was inside, one hand pushing back stray locks that escaped her braid. “Sorry for the wait.”
She was not an Amazon, but Dick could almost believe she was at that moment. The casual stance she usually had, as if she weren’t sure where to put her long limbs, was now gone. In its place, Jasmine was secure in her skin, strong, wearing a teal bodysuit that shimmered under the light coming from the window, betraying it was not simple spandex. Over the suit she had pieces of black armor on vulnerable places — kinda like how Diana suited up, but without the signature colors of Wonder Woman and with pulsing, glowing runes engraved in the edges instead.
They knew she was a warrior, that the title of Princess of the Infinite Realms didn’t only mean ballgowns and pretty jewelry; but seeing was very different from knowing.
“Hello, darling.”
She zeroed on Jason as he stood up from the floor, dusting his pants. Jazz got to his position with a few long steps and picked him up, narrowing her eyes as if she were trying to decipher something difficult.
“Not hurt?”
“Uh-huh.” His brother shook his head. “Have a little more faith in me.”
Still, she quickly checked him for non-visible injuries, smirking when Jason winced as she squeezed his shoulder. Instead of chastising him for lying, she leaned in to kiss his helmet on the cheek, patting the other cheek twice.
“Not a word.”
“Uh-huh.” She said in the same tone Jason had used to dismiss her worries.
They were adorable.
“Not that I don’t enjoy watching you two, but we need to make a plan.” Dick had to say, even if he liked seeing his brother relax just by the presence of his girlfriend.
“Right,” Jazz stood back up to her whole height, back straight, looking out of the window. “I took care of the snipers on this roof and the ones I detected around here, but I didn’t stay to check if there were more.”
Dick would have done a full sweep before jumping in, but Jazz was not a Bat. He wouldn’t judge her as such. Also, they had time to thoroughly train her.
“They took our gear.” Jason sighed, probably missing his guns. And his jacket. “So we’ll need to parkour down the old school way.”
“Or I could carry you.”
The smile that stretched Dick’s lips was like the one he had when Jason face planted right after trying to do a dramatic exit.
“I’m in!” He quickly approached her, completely ready to be carried like when Superman or Wally did it. He jumped into her arms without waiting for her to say anything, chuckling when she caught him anyway.
“Jay?”
Resigned, Jason sighed and walked to the pair. “I’ll wait here-”
Jazz could move fast, it turns out. Dick felt weightless as he was moved under one of her arms, watching with glee as she circled the now free arm around her boyfriend’s waist to lift him up with ease.
“This is exciting.”
“Shut up, Dickhead.”
“I feel like a little kid.”
“You behave like one.”
Jazz chuckled at their banter, walking towards the window. “Keep your arms in at all times during the ride and remember to have fun.”
She didn’t hesitate when she jumped out, the powerful leap rippling through her body, muscles tensing as they soared through the air towards the closest rooftop. Even if she said the thing about not moving, Dick decided to stretch his arms with a soft “wiii~” as he watched the street pass by far below them.
The landing was rougher than what the Bats were used to, but Jazz took the impact without flinching. Right. Inhuman durability. Undead Princesses didn’t have to worry about fucking up their knees.
She let them go, eyes already sweeping their surroundings even if she landed on a relatively secluded part behind some water tanks.
“We need to get back in.”
She turned towards Jason, expression unreadable. Dick saw her eyes run over his brother’s body, worry shining in her eyes, one eyebrow twitching slightly as the only sign of her actual emotions. She was trying hard to not show her thoughts, which was weird since she was usually very forthcoming as a civilian.
Princess. Jasmine was really a Princess. Dick understood the need to show a strong front when in a position of responsibility, he knew he also changed when he was acting as his team’s lead; but as everything about her other life, seeing was different from knowing.
Was this how people felt when they learned about them? When Brucie Wayne turned out to be The Dark Knight? Dick’s head was struggling to merge the picture of the warm presence of Jason’s cute girlfriend and this warrior princess.
“What do you need me to do?”
It was subtle, but Jason’s shoulders dropped with relief. He expected her to fight his decision.
His face was soft as he took off the helmet to look her in the eyes. “First we need our gear and they’ll probably have it still in the room they took us to.”
Jazz nodded. “Want me to get in and fetch it for you?” She said as if she were asking him what he wanted from the grocery store. He nodded, one hand extended to brush stray hairs behind her left ear. “Give me five minutes then.”
The air was charged when their eyes met, and Dick couldn’t look away. It was magical, in a way, how her blue eyes started to glow like some kind of bioluminescence, the shine low enough to barely illuminate Jason’s face as he got closer to her.
“Meet you here in eight minutes. We’ll do a sweep in the meantime,” Jason’s voice got low to match the sudden moment they were having.
“Ok.”
Their lips met and Nightwing finally looked away. He couldn’t even find the energy to make a comment or coo at them. It was soft, it was real, and, most of all, it was private.
He wouldn't be surprised if those two announced they were getting married within the year.
He looked back just as Jason’s boots were again on the roof, Jazz’s arms retracting from where she had circled them around his waist to lift him closer to her lips.
Cute.
But they had to get moving.
Dick cleared his throat, making them jump.
“Right. Um, I’ll get to it. See you guys in a bit!”
Without further comment, she jumped over the roof and landed without making a sound on the base’s brick wall, quickly crawling towards the same window they had jumped out from. Her movements looked weightless, like she was strong enough to move her body with fine precision. Or maybe it was a ghost thing, since Jazz’s brother apparently could fly.
The rooftop was quiet until they lost sight of her.
“I want to be the Best Man.” He turned to look at his younger brother. “I already have ideas for my speech.”
Jason narrowed his eyes. “What the fuck are you talking about.”
In response, Nightwing started humming the Wedding March as he flipped away, just in time to hear gunshots and destruction happening inside the building, probably following the spitfire of a girlfriend that literally crashed into Jason’s life.

whaling ft. bf! scaramouche
masterlist | series mlist | next
Tumblr media
scaramouche can't believe that you're all over this "dan heng" character and like be for real, he's so much better than this guy who's all speary. even more so, after dan heng had a 5-star version of himself. he has never seen you step out of your room only for taking a piss and eating some food.
whatever! can this dan heng chop apples for you? he cannot! he’s 2D and here you have your lovely boyfriend, scaramouche, who is REAL. 3D and not at all fictional. does dan heng know what you love to eat? no. he better not see dan heng in your search history.
he walked into your shared office with him, bowl of fruit in hand and water in the other, whereas almost half of the room was covered in stuffed animals or game merchandise (he won't lie that some of those are his). he saw you near your desk, next to your pc, sprawled out on the floor, on the brink of tears. he sighed and knew this was apart of your theatrics. "name."
you turned around with dark circles under your eyes, sunk down and that's when he knew you were going to rant about something. he placed the bowl of apples on the desk and the water, sat down and pulled you into his lap. "what now?"
you start to fake bawl into his shirt, balling up his sweatshirt, "i lost the 50/50..."
he pinched his nose bridge before asking, "to who?"
"CLARA. like i have SIXTY THOUSAND COPIES OF HER TOO. all i wanted was imbibitor lunae and i prefarmed too!" you cried as scaramouche rolled his eyes. he grabbed a slice of apple and fed you it as he replied,
"so do you want anything?" scaramouche felt weight being lifted from his chest as you finished the apple slice and tilted your head.
"hm?" you both know how this gacha addiction ends and it's not like scaramouche really cares about this lunae imbibnator guy. it's worth it to see you smile and happy... not like he'll tell you anyway.
"do you want me to buy you those gems? onesis crystals?" scaramouche asked, seeing you let out a breathy laugh as you batted your eyes innocently.
"oneiric?" of course, classic name to reply with a question back.
"yes, whatever that is."
"um."
Tumblr media
behind you, you heard your screen flashed a pop up screen. 6480 shards staring at you as you shifted away from scaramouche's face. just before you looked back at him. "i didn't need that much..."
"didn't you reset your pity? you probably need more. how much do you have right now? click to the warp page." scaramouche instructed not giving you a chance to interject. even though you were about to switch the tab to the warp page, your boyfriend decided that you were too slow and switched it for you. "hm, you have 5 stellar jades left, adding 6480 plus bonus... that would be around 40 wishes, which isn't enough. did you have the monthly tickets yet?"
you snorted quietly, he's so pretty when he's so smart. but maybe you have to stop him from spending his money on you so much. you might need an intervention. "i think so."
scaramouche clicked to the shop and saw the pop up for the free 5 wishes for the price of the insane amount of dust you had. "of course not, you're an idiot." for the harsh words, he is saying it lovingly.
you watched him calculate the amount of wishes just before making you look at opposite direction. you hear the shard sound effect again next to you as you slowly turned to scaramouche again. he shrugged it off.
"why did you get me 51840 shards?"
"for good luck."
you spluttered, "i don't need this many???"
"i'll buy you more if you need them."

The science fair was on the rise as Percy readied his machine to tranform objects into anything they wanted. Designed in a replica of a photo booth, he tested its performance on soup cans burrowed from the cafeteria, turning their metal husks to fluffy marsh mellows. The work was a success in the main run, but the objects it creates still kept its original detail. He learned that the hard way after taking a bite out of one of the soft desserts, ravioli flavored is never a good sweetener.
He worked hard in his laboratory to perfect his invention, musk and sweat nearly overcoming him as he worked at the wires. Before he knew it, the science fair had arrived. He set up shop near the bleachers, watching his fellow students haul their own inventions to the displays at the front of the stadium. He mingled with those near the booth, sharing his anticipation of who might win. But commotion drawed his attention, turning toward the entrance. A student was on the floor, surrounded by papers from her binder. And standing over her was the bully from his class. Jesse.
"the boss doesn't take kindly to ladies who don't pay the toll. think your nerdy fair is a free ticket? Think again."
"This fair is a free right! You have no say in the matter!" the student replied.
"Oh ho, how wrong you are sweetheart."
a whistle came from a group of jocks across the room, a huskier member standing out from the crowd. "Jesse, forget the twig!" he barked, holding a sack of money from a student caught in his fist. "We've more than enough, Let's scram before security shows up."
"Yes Baco!" He straightened his jacket, stepping over the papers the student reached for. "Consider yourself lucky, tuts. But don't think I won't be back for ya later." he kicked the papers away, joining the rest of the pack as they moved to the other outskirts of the stadium.
the student raced to scatter her papers mumbling to herself as she searched for her binder. Percy leaned at her side, picking her binder for her to put her papers in. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, its nothing, just another day." she said.
"I know Jesse, this isn't his particular mugging. wait here,I'll fetch security and-"
She held up a palm. "No no, it's fine. you shouldn't have to go through all that stress." She grabbed the rest of her papers, and the binder before she walked toward the booths. "I should get my booth ready."
"hey wait." he spoke, his voice falling on deaf ears as she disappeared into the crowd of students. He turned his gaze to the laughter of the jocks, Jesse following behind Baco.
That coward, running through the stadium like a hound off a leash, trampling over others hard work. least of all, he has a student fearful of the consequences if they do talk. It was uncanny. horrid. and he was going to do something about it.
He prepared the rest of his table, before following the jocks around the stadium. He hid through the display as students camouflaged his movements, watching the herd of muscle squeeze their way through the halls. Hiding behind an inflatable globe, he noticed Baco talking to Jesse, before he went into the hall and Jesse went off to the other booths. The big guy would be too hard to tend to, but he felt he'd be able to hit two birds with one stone. For the time being, he'll follow Jesse.
catching him at one of the booths near the stage, he managed to lure him toward his table, promising the oaf a hot date that was eager to take a photo with his manliness. He barfed at the words he spewed, but it sufficed as they arrived his booth, a photo machine resting next to it.
Jesse drooled at the mouth. "And she's in there you said."
"Yup, she's in there waiting for you. Just watch your ste-" an arm shoved Percy into the table.
"Yeah yeah, nerd sure. Hey babe, I hear your lookin' for a man." he darted inside. shuffling rang around the machine, Jesse groans following before the curtain. "I see you like a lot of hair, them dread locks ya got or..Hey!" he held a mop in his hand, thrashing it about. "What gives ya nerd?! There's no lady in here at all!"
"No, but an idiot is." he twisted the knob of his invention, the wires glowing as it traveled toward the machine. There was a bright flash, Jesse's arms snapping behind the curtain before he scowled at the incoming sparks. Students from the other booths looked his way, Percy sharing their gaze before raising a finger to his mouth.
They moved along, the sparks from the machine ceasing as smoke simmered from the curtain. Percy drew it back, and fanned the inside. the booth was completely empty, the seat untouched as piles of clothes stacked upon the floor. Sitting on top, would be a jock strap. it throbbed absently, like a fish fresh from water. He bent down and gazed at the slim wear, peaking inside to Jesse's face sticking out from the rubbery funnel.
"What the hell did you do to me?!" he garbled.
"I made you into something that won't be bothering students anymore. Not so tough looking for a pair of underwear is it?"
"You nerd! you think I'm going to just sit here and let you do this?!" the the jockstrap flailed. "When the Boss finds out what you've done, your ass is grass."
"Unfortunately, you're right about your boss finding out about this. But I think I know how to get them off my trail, and get back for the other fellow nerds your bullies tortured. But first.." he place Jesse onto the table, pulling a few more of his tools from his pocket. "Let's get you ready for a test run."
-----------------------
Minutes go by as Jesse flailed in efforts to flee from the towering nerd, clamps from the tables keeping him from hopping off. Cold, round metal hinges squeezed into his rubbery end, fingers rotating them the bulky edge held his mouth open. Not a moment later, the nerd was finished, holding him toward the mirror for hims to gaze at himself. He looked like he was corked, his lips sealed with straps as they jangled as a little key jangled a above him.
"There, that should keep you from spoiling the fun." Percy traced a finger at his genius. Jesse didn't have time, before he was stuffed into his pocket, the chatting crowd growing soft before metal doors opened.
Where was he taking him? Doesn't he know he's a sitting duck when the boss gets a hold of him? He listened as the nerd traversed through the hallway, before another set of doors opened, and chattering ensued.
"To think those pipsqueaks had decent packed a lot this time. those piss ants are walking piggy banks today." A deeper voice pierced the fabric. Its tone, he recognized it from anywhere. Its the boss!
The pocket grinded against as his voice grew soft, a door creaking open before fingers pinched at his form. Dragged out, he was placed inside a locker. Hot girl magazines decorated the metal walls, a jockstrap hanging from a string overhead. Odd, it had the exact chain as him, the same texture, size. almost as if it were..fit for him.
"Good, I managed to the brand right." Percy hands. Fondled at the slim where. "Baco always did have a thing for keeping these around. But I think it't time he tried something new." He unclamped its restraints, hoisting Jesse into them.
"Wha a yu talken abou?!" He garbled through his filter.
"It's not rocket science, you can put two and two together. Every time that oaf comes back here, he comes in alone to fetch his wares."
Comes to fetch his wares?..No, he doesn't mean his..creaks came muffled from down the hall, Percy peaking out of the pathway.
"Show time." He closed the door, leaving Jesse inside the locker.
He thrashed along the string suspending him in the air. Dread flowing through his flaps at the doom that was to come. Baco wasn't keen on them watching his business, and didn't want to find out what it was without the bosses blessing. Commotion came from the pathway, Jesse looking between the slanted lines.
An arm slammed Percy to the opposite lockers, a jock in a leather Jacket stepping closer. "What do you think you're doing in my lockers, numbnuts." He growled, lifting him off his feet.
"I was just looking around. Sorry Baco, honest." Percy said.
"The balls you have to come in here, I should rock your lights out right now. But fortunately you got me in a good mood" he jerked Percy to his locker, Jesse falling from the string. "Fetch my favorite jockstrap, I feeling romantic right. now"
Jesse flopped in a panic, his back end folding against the walls. "Yes sir, right away." the panel opened as Percy looked inside, He and Jesse sharing glances. the transformed jock shook his head in disapproval, the nerd denying his pleas as a fist shrouded his gaze.
His eyes folded in on themleves, pinched as he swayed from side to side. His limbs wouldn't obey, flailing in the wind like a slim sheet of paper. He tried to speak, but his voice came out garbled once more. The palm opened to Baco looming overhead, a finger loosening at his shorts to the ground.
His eyes widened as he gazed upon his boss' wares. Greasy green stains damped the sides of his inner thigh, the patches of the fabric holding his cock on the brink of snapping free. He slipped the used wares off with ease, kicking them to his locker.
"Set them on the floor." He placed his hands on his hips, watching as Percy nodded at his command.
Jesse's face stretched, widening to fill the the blocky feet before he was pulled upward. the thighs climbed on both sides of him, filling the holes with its muscles as it reached the giant jock's waist. He panned toward the swinging trunk between his legs, the lint sticking to its skin revealing themselves before it jammed into his mouth. the damp skin touched his tongue, a sour taste invading it. it was like eating a corn dog that was dunked in a pool of dish water and then mixed with sweat. He writhed to get it out of his mouth, but it jammed deeper as Percy wrapped the reins along Baco's waist.
the jock grabbed his crotch with a fist, sending heavy gropes that twisted Jesse's mouth. "that's a good boy, I want my cock nice and snug like it's in a chick's mouth."
Percy narrowed his gaze, tightening the straps harder against his waist. by his third tug, the cock outlined the center of the jockstrap, the very slit visible between the above the jangled key. "There, it's do-"
a palm met the back of his head, thrusting him to the far locker. "About time, now beat it. I got chicks to see." He marched down the walkway, putting on his shorts as he tucked Jesse inside.
"A..Ha.." Jesse garbled, the thick thighs grinding the cock to the back of his mouth. It was soggy, greasy as it grazed his rubbery ends. how was he going to get Baco's attention like this? he could chew on..hell no, he wasn't going to result to that. Being this close to the boss' cock is enough without him trying to rip him a new one. He tried to speak again, widening his mouth to bypass the girth of the fleshy organ.
the metal contraption unlatched, his tongue reaching out from its rubbery pocket. Good, he got his tongue out. He moved it to the side of the contraption, flicking at the metal gear keeping his mouth open. but another gear unlatched as it drew his tongue against the skin, grazing his taste buds against the meaty ball stamping over him. He winced, pulling his tongue away from the bouncing sack. "Wha tha?!"
a mic squeaked from the metal device, a nasaly voice speaking through. "Almost forgot how rough Baco rough, gonna have a headache after hitting the locker, but Its worth once I reap the award from the sidelines."
Jesse's face scrunching, fighting the gears in efforts to free his tongue. "by now you've noticed my little trinkets have activated, that should get you two of you set on things. let's see, you've already tasted his cock, but how about a more different flavor."
The gear turned, folding his tongue to the slanted slit crowning the cock, and jammed its way through it. Creamy fluid dosed into his tongue, Jesse's eyes bulging as his senses cried for relief. But latches from the contraption forced the head into his mouth.
"Ah the cock slit, the world's filthiest tube known to man, that should get you just the right taste for the job. Heh, if if doesn't sour it first." His tongue squished deeper into the fleshy tube, its length bulging with his tongue as it climbed to the base.
"Oh fff..the hell's going on in there?" Baco moaned from the outside. the fabric smashed against his member, the rounded head squishing into Jesse's eyes before they were rubbed in place. "Is there a worm in there or something?" he yanked the fabric back, but the gears of the metal latched on, vacuuming the cock back into Jesse. they gagged almost in sync, Baco prancing around as Jesse did his best to cough up the bulky sausage.
"Quite the ball dance you two are having over there. I have a feeling the two of you are going to be like that for a long time."
"Why.. yu litta.."
"Tata Jesse, this nerd's got a science fair to go too."
The mic next to him sizzled, vaporizing into particle as smoke simmered through him. Baco's fist returned, stamping him out in efforts to take the undergarments off. Jesse winced at its bombardment, creamy fluid sweeping through his tongue before a puddle filled his mouth.
"Percy!" he scowled, before his voice softend.
**********************************
Baco's grunts echoed around the science fair, knockig into the posters at the entrance as he muttered to himself. other student's stared upon him like a madman, eering themselves away from the stumbling jock. but Percy was nothing interested in his flounders, his finger twirling at the trigger in his hand. but he looked to his left as the student from before readied her booth, approaching her from the side.
"Getting along well?" he asked her.
"Oh, hello again. yes, thing's have been going smoothly so far."
"Glad to hear, so about that guy from earlier, Jesse you recall?" He asked, her head nodding softly. "Well turns out he turned a new leaf."
"On such short notice?"
"I know right. you could say he was above the knees when he mention, hehe. would you care to try out an invention of mine?" he brought over a smaller inventiion of his, a small hair dryer with a nozzle attached to it.
"A hair dryer?"
"Well, from the outside at least." he leaned over the table, brushing against the nozzle. "This bute is called the romantic mood swings. R.M.S for short."
"Fascinating, what does it do?"
"Why Im glad you ask, it is normally designed for making frequencies, but I've modified it to make it more..functional. Let me give me a demonstration, see that jock over there?" He pointed toward Baco, wrestling with his shorts, swearing at the staff that came near him.
she clutched at her binder. "Isn't that the boss that Jesse mentioned."
"He's grumpy up close, but that's because he doesn't have the right motivation. but with this device, all i gotta do is prepare and say," he twisted at the machine's knob. "moan."
the jock jolted from his seat, his hips bucking forward. "Oh no, not a..a..again!" his body hunched over the bench ,his shorts becoming damp in the process.
"See? it works like a charm."
"That's amazing, I've never seen such an invention like this."
"Why thank you, thank you very much."
"To think bodily functions will respond with a twist of a knob. How did you come up with this idea."
He paused for a moment as he gazed at the blundering jock. looking at his shorts, he could almost imagine the drench Jesse was going through, all thanks to his lovely invention. he tucked the actual trigger in his cloak, pressing absently at it from the outside. the dryer gimmick was a last second choice, but it was the best he came up with. "A scientist never reveals his secrets." he winked.

The Gas Attendant
Stardew Valley Fanfic
Shane X GN! Reader
NSFW / NSFT
One shot
Reader is entranced by the sexy gas station attendant on an unscheduled stop.
The smell of gas still lingers, no matter how many times I wash myself… I can still smell it. I can still smell him. I let my hands linger on my waist, the hot water from my shower pouring down my back and trying to help me forget what could have never been.
A quick stop in a small town, against my schedule as I left the city and set the destination for my sister's wedding. Something I would have thought nothing of if it weren’t for the gas attendant. Deep plum hair, so dark it was almost black— each shift of head dropping the shaggy hair into his eyes only to be brushed away with a dirty hand. He filled my gas while I browsed the shop and grabbed a few snacks for the hours to come.
Standing at the checkout, waiting behind a short woman with blonde hair as she went through her lottery tickets, I let myself watch him as he cleaned my car windows. He was handsome, far too handsome to be working at a place like this. His blue overalls were covered in spots of oil and dirt, giving him this appearance of ruggedness that I found myself craving as I continued to watch him.
I wanted to stall, to spend as much time as I could at this gas station. To throw caution to the wind and chase after the man pumping my gas—
“Excuse me?” A voice called in front of me, a young girl working the register calling me forward to finally check out. “Whenever you’re ready!”
I placed my items onto the counter, taking my time and glancing out the window after I set each one down. Chips, cookies, sour gummy worms, a few bottles of water and soda…
Then I grabbed some candy bars displayed under the counter, following through with finding an excuse to keep eye fucking the gas attendant outside.
“That’s my uncle Shane!” I jumped as the girl spoke, grinning ear to ear as she rung up each item. “He won’t steal your car, don’t worry!”
“Oh!” I shook my head and brought my hands up defensively. “No, no, that’s not why I was staring at him. I promise!”
“No worries!” She replied and reached for one of my bottles of water. Then she paused, her fingertips only grazing the bottle before she dropped her hand. “So… why are you staring at him?”
I gulped and pretended to search for my wallet instead of answering right away. “Uh. No— no reason.”
She smiled and only hummed in reply as she finally grabbed the water and rung it up.
After I paid I went back outside, taking a moment to take in my surroundings. Being born and raised in the city, it was odd to actually see trees and the ground. Even the sky was so large it was almost obnoxious… But when I walked up to the gas attendant, I thought maybe I could see myself living somewhere like this…
“You’re all set,” he said and handed my keys back to me, his fingernails lightly scathing across my palm as he set them in my hand. “You need anything else?”
“Yeah…yeah I do.”
There was a motel across the street… and Shane didn’t even ask any questions.
His lips were crushed against my own, ripping my jacket off my shoulders and pushing me into the bed with urgency. I gasped as I fell back into the bedding, but could only watch as he quickly removed his uniform and let it drop to the floor.
“I don’t normally do this,” I said as he crawled on top of me and worked the button of my pants. “Actually, I’ve never done this—“
“Me either,” he mumbled. A man of few words I came to learn... but that didn’t mean he was lacking in skill. He undressed me with impatient hands, removing each piece of clothing and throwing it behind himself carelessly.
Soon I was completely nude before him, my legs spread as he buried his head between my thighs. His hands gripped my bottom, spreading me open as he lapped his tongue against my entrance. Each lap slow but eager, dipping into me and working me open as he savored each and every lick.
“Shane!” I called, my hands digging into the sheets, my legs kicking out as I neared release. But, to my frustration, he wouldn’t allow it. Not yet.,
Shane lifted his head and smiled, lazy and relaxed as he moved himself to settle between my spread legs. He ripped open a condom and rolled it onto himself before placing his cock at my entrance.
In one smooth motion, he was inside me, taking my breath away as he carefully bottomed out. I was silent, my mouth hanging open, hands on his back and pressing him down deeper, deeper, deeper.
“Fuck,” he groaned and began moving his hips, fucking into me with lazy thrusts. The head of his cock catching on my hole as he eased himself all the way out and then back in. “You feel so good, baby.”
He bought his lips back to mine, licking inside my mouth as he brought me closer and closer to release. Shane picked up the speed, fucking into me now recklessly, his hips slamming into me as he gave himself over to me.
“Please,” I whispered, moaning as he moved his lips down to my neck and bit down. “Shane, please!”
“Anything you want,” he gasped into my flesh. “Anything you want.” My legs wrapped around him as he went as hard as he could, our moans growing as we came closer to finishing. My nails digging into his back, my head thrown back as I took everything he gave me.
“Fuck—“ He slammed his hips into me one final time, both of us shouting out as we came together. He gave me a few more light thrusts, his hips barely moving as he filled his condom.
He left shortly after, giving me another kiss before running out the door. And now I stood in the shower, washing away our love making and trying desperately to forget it. Which I knew was impossible.
In such a short amount of time I grew so attached, so enamored with this stranger that just made love to me like no one ever had before—
I sighed and stepped out of the shower, taking a moment to glance at myself in the mirror— still looking throughly fucked. I wrapped myself in a towel, prepared to dry off, get redressed, and then leave this small town forever.
“Hey,” Shane stood in the room, holding up two button up shirts. “Which one of these would work for your sister’s wedding?”
“I—“ On the bed was a duffle bag, a few pieces of clothing hanging out of it. Along with a newly purchased box of condoms. “You’re coming with me?”
Shane chuckled and rolled his eyes. “Babe, If you think for a second that after a fuck like that I’m letting you out of my life you’re out of your damn mind.”
Maybe… this was meant to be after all.

Day 2 - Prompt: Luxuriate @pandalilymicrofics
February Daily Series - 695 words
**TW: brief mention of a parent’s transphobia**
<<<Previous Part
James mentioned a woman named “Lily” specifically. Why?
Pandora paused her frantic packing and grabbed her phone from the dresser. She needed more than a first name. After a thorough search through Sirius’s recent Instagram posts, she found one that was tagged @ lilyflower, but her profile was private.
“Aren’t you lovely?” she whispered, opening the photo of the pretty redhead dancing with Sirius.
“Where are you going?”
She ignored her brother’s question as she stuffed her mobile in the pocket of her skirt. Thankfully, this one was vintage and actually had usable pockets sewn in. Pandora tucked in the last few bits and bobs, then closed the bulging bag.
“Shut up and help me,” she huffed, tugging on the zipper.
Evan appeared at her side to lean on the top of the bag. “Don’t be snippy. Mum said you were ‘abandoning us for that girl,’” he imitated, scowling as he added, “so I assume the old cow meant Regulus.”
“Yes, I was invited to Wales to meet his new boyfriend. He’s from Scotland, I think, so taking a train to Wales was more convenient.”
“Can I come too? You can’t leave me here with them, Pandora,” he chastised, hitching his thumb over his shoulder. “You know as well as I do that their ‘party’ is complete shite.”
Pandora shook her head. “I didn’t buy the ticket, James did. Besides, I’ve had enough of you for one holiday.”
“Come on! I’m bored!”
“That’s what happens when you dump your boyfriend.”
Evan glared at her as she pulled the suitcase to the floor. “You know perfectly well why I had to do that! I didn’t want to. He’s just…”
“Toxic? An arsehole? A lying, cheating prick?” she suggested, smiling brightly.
“Says you! He wasn’t that way with me.”
“Then why did you break up with him?”
Evan ducked his head and grumbled under his breath. “Because he hurt Regulus.”
“Exactly!”
“But I didn’t know that when we started dating! We met at the shop, and it was long-distance most of the time. You didn’t know either, until you spoke to him,” he defended.
Pandora shrugged, then pulled up the handle on her suitcase. “Never met him in person and Reg didn’t like to FaceTime back then. That doesn’t change who he is. When you know better, you do better.”
“So what? You’re punishing me now? I have to stay here in hell while you luxuriate in some lush Welsh Inn?”
“I doubt it’s posh, Evan. It’s Wales, not Versailles.”
“I miss Versailles. So many pretty blokes,” he said wistfully. “We should go back.”
She waved him off as she searched for her purse. It was a bright green bag that she’d crocheted herself when she was in her yarn phase. “Then go back. No one’s stopping you. I’m quite happy in London. I have a decent job and a nice flat with Reg and Dorcas.”
“You don’t have to rub it in.”
“Sure I do. You made your choice, Evan, and I made mine.”
“I like my job! I just hate it here.”
She threw a hand up to stop the incoming tirade she’d heard on repeat since coming home last week. “Enough. You’re an adult, act like one.”
He closed his mouth and snatched up the handle of her luggage. She knew he was frustrated, but she’d hit her breaking point. Even compassion had its limits.
“Look, I’m sorry for leaving you behind. I just need to enjoy a little of this holiday. As much as I love you, you’re infuriating!”
“Me? You’re the one ripping my head off and hiding in your room!” Evan shot back, roughly yanking her suitcase down the stairs.
The case barely survived its perilous journey to the front door, and Pandora was grateful she’d remembered to tuck her glasses into its hard case for once. With a stern warning to stay awake to watch for “train hooligans,” her mother hugged her and shooed her away. Outside the house, a town car that James insisted on sending idled. Before she knew it, she was staring through double-paned train windows in first class as the world flew by while her mind fixated on one name.
Lily. Why did he mention “Lily?”

hot chocolate | tz11
Running five minutes behind schedule would be fine if you weren't me. I admit it should be fine, but it's not, it's really not. I, Augustine Mae Reynolds (but you can call me August), create a schedule for myself every morning and todays, like everyday, gave me a fifteen minute time slot allotted for me to walk down the street and get a coffee, but now it's been twenty minutes since I my time started and it takes me five minutes to get home. So not even five minutes off, I'm ten minutes off schedule. I should be at home studying right now, finals are only a week away and I'm really looking forward to Christmas break.
"August!" I hear the barista yell.
I quickly weave my way through chatty people to the front of the shop.
"Trevor!" She announces another name.
I grab a coffee out of her hand and rapidly make my way out of the door. Pulling my coat closer to my body as I step out into the early-December Michigan weather. Snow blankets my hair as I storm home.
"Hey," I hear from behind me, "wait"
I turn around to see a boy that's maybe my age or a little older, snow flakes littered through his dark blonde hair. He must be freezing, its twenty-two degrees and snowing and he's wearing sweatpants and a tee-shirt.
"Umm... Hi," I respond not really knowing whats going on.
"You grabbed my drink," He smiles, looking down at the cup.
"Oh," My eyes travel to the cup in my hands, sure enough 'Trevor" is scribbled on the side of the cup in black marker and loopy handwriting.
"Sorry," I whisper and hand the warm coffee back to him.
He looks down and grabs the cup, then hands me mine, "No problem."
Then he starts to chuckle and I suddenly feel very self conscious.
"What," I state trying to sound calm even though I was exploding inside. This run in is putting me even more behind schedule. Plus, talking to new people is way past the boundaries of my comfort zone.
He meets my eyes, "You seem nervous."
I sigh.
"Hey, calm down. It's okay, it was an accident and a cup of hot chocolate," He tries to calm me down. It worked.
"Yeah," I mumble and look up at him. He smiles and that makes me smile.
"You know what, you should come to my hockey game tonight."
"Oh no, really I'm okay," I try and convince him. What I really didn't want to say is that I've never been to a hockey game, that's not really my thing. A bunch of people way too exited screaming at a bunch of sweaty boys. I try not to shudder at the thought. Plus, I can't wait to start studying, not like 'Oh, I'm so exited I can't wait," more like "I can't put this off any longer than I already have because I'm not risking the ability to get a job in the future because I went to a hockey game and didn't study for my finals.'
"Come on, my treat."
As soon as those four words come out of his mouth I want to go. He should be a attorney with that ability to persuade people.
"I, oh, I mean, why not," I awkwardly stutter.
"Yeah, um, give me your number and I'll send you tickets."
He then pulls his phone out of his pocket and, after a few taps, hands it to me. It's open to a new contact page, 'August' already typed at the top, he had to have read the side of my coffee cup. I type my number in and hand it back to him.
"Contact picture?" He questions.
"Oh, totally," I look up and smile. He quickly snaps a picture.
"Gorgeous," He stretches out the vowels when he says it. "I'll text you. Red, white and blue for the game."
I take a mental note of that, "Got it!"
"Bye."
"Bye."
I stumble off. This is a terrible idea, I really have to study, but I also really need more friends. I'm completely off todays schedule, but I might have real fun for the first time in a while. It's gonna be fine, go to the game, you can't plan everything. A text comes in supporting my just-made-decision.
'game starts at 5, doors open at 3:30 but ill be on the ice at 4:30, arena downtown, sending you a ticket now.'
*image file attached*
I open the file to see my ticket, then I open google, search the arena, open the website and enter the seat number listed on the ticket. My screen loads for a second before displaying probably the best view that you can get in the whole arena. I giggle quietly.
He said he'll be on the ice at 4;30. It's 3:08 right now and it takes fifteen minutes to get there and at least fifteen minutes to get to my seat. I need to leave at 3:45 and it takes five minutes to get home. That gives me about 30 minutes to get ready. I need to move quick. I start sprinting back to my apartment.
"That took you forever," Mya, my roommate, yells.
"Uh, yeah, long line. Listen I'm going to a hockey game tonight and need help on what to wear."
"Team colors?" she ask with a smile. She's exited I'm asking her for help.
"red white and blue."
"Oh, easy," She throws a red hoodie at me, "You'll look great."
"Thanks!" I yell why as she struts out of my room.
I through off my black puffer coat. Switch my green hoodie for the red one and keep my black leggings on. Final addition to the outfit is a blue puffer vest.  Then, pull out my phone to check the clock. Ten minutes till I have to leave. I step out of my room into the kitchen and eat a snack
"I'm out," I announce to Mya.
"Have fun!" I get in response.
As I step out of the apartment, into the cold winter weather, the soft buzz of voices, and the snow, I realize that this might be a lot of fun.

Good Day
Yesterday was fun...actually FUN! The mister was making some noise about starting a project that's been on the table for a while. You see, this house was born without windowsills. It's tragic. I've never lived in a home without windowsills. Where the heck are you supposed to put little herb pots or cute holiday knickknacks? Where are cats supposed to sit while they watch birds?
Tumblr media
I'm sure the original builders saved money, but it's cramping my style. Mickey has assured me that it's easy enough to cut, paint, and install sills. SO that's what he plans to do. Personally, I think we should start in a room no one sees, like his office. He plans to start in the living room and kitchen...
Tumblr media
If the end result is windowsills that I can enjoy, I will be forever grateful.
Tumblr media
I think you can buy actual windowsills and just slide/glue them in place, but of course our windows are not standard sized - that would be too easy. To make a long story even longer - this post has nothing to do with our windows. Mickey told me that he was going to drive into Dover (about 40 minutes) to shop at the Lowe's there. He encouraged me to go with him and I made every excuse in the world not to go - I had chores to do at home, I needed to do a big grocery shop, I'd just spend money there that I don't need to spend, etc. Then he said the five words that had me in my shoes and out the door in a flash, "Dover has a Home Goods." He suggested dropping me at Home Goods while he did his lumber shopping. Girls, that was the golden ticket. I've been in many, many Home Goods stores. MANY. If I see one, I usually stop. I have left money in Home Goods in various states and cities without a regret. So when I say that the Home Goods in Dover, Delaware is the best I've ever seen, believe me. If there is a heaven, I'm pretty sure I just got a glimpse of what it's like. I could have spent an entire day and a thousand dollars. Because I am frugal I kept it to $35, but I'm very happy with my haul. I tried to be mindful and not get swept away in the massive and beautiful Halloween section but I did end up with one gorgeous crow and a single, glittery pumpkin in my cart. I mean...who could resist?
Tumblr media
That wooden cake pedestal was purchased as well. It will be part of a fall centerpiece for the table - isn't it lovely?
I grabbed a pack of napkins from their endless selection and have already used them to transform a dollar store pumpkin.
Tumblr media
Now that she's dry I'll add some burlap ribbon and lace.
Tumblr media
September is off to a good start. I mentioned a crow. I can't resist a good crow. The one at Home Goods had been looking for me. He's perfect for a project. You see, a few weeks ago I picked up four chunky candlesticks at an auction for just $2. I knew that I'd want to turn them into something else, so this is what I'm starting with..
Tumblr media
I'm going to chalk paint them ivory and distress them so a bit of that dark wood shows through. That dollar store stack of pumpkins will be painted in more muted colors, and maybe I'll add a wide burlap ribbon somewhere. How fun is that?? One simple trip to Home Goods has resulted in several craft projects to keep me happy. That's a win. I did buy a few practical things as well, like these adorable reusable straws. Pink with gold crowns!
Tumblr media
I use straws every morning when I drink my protein shake. The grandgirl uses straws when she's here as well. I usually buy boxes of pretty floral straws, but these are just as cute and can be popped into the dishwasher. I love having a list of artsy things on my to-do list, and autumn is my favorite time for that, probably because the stuff is just so much fun to make. My last clay ghost is ready for paint and I'll start him today. I'm giddy over that. He's the one who will be a patchwork quilt. I thought I was being so original, and had even dreamed up a book about him. When I did a quick Google search to make sure nothing similar existed, I realized I'm a couple years too late - but doesn't this story sound delightful? Much better than mine.
Tumblr media
"His parents are both sheets...his grandmother was a lace curtain..." I love that so much. All the more reason to enjoy painting my little ghost. Anyway, after my $35 Home Goods spree (I regret not buying the Halloween bedsheets) Mickey suggested we grab lunch. If there's one thing I enjoy almost as much as Home Goods, it's going out for lunch. Nothing fancy, we just popped into Qdoba where you can build a semi-healthy, spicy bowl. And, as if the day wasn't splendid enough, when we finally pointed the car toward home we went through a Starbucks drive-thru for a yummy drink. You guys, I felt like I'd been let out of prison after being wrongfully convicted. Home Goods, lunch, and Starbucks - what a fun day! At the moment I have laundry chugging and another load to go in after that one. I should probably dust, and clean windows...but the odds are very good that I will be painting and crafting today instead. It's a holiday, I'm allowed. Alright, time to start painting candlesticks, so this is where I'll sign off. Sending out loads of love, encouragement, and the hope that this new month brings happiness to our doorsteps. While we're waiting, we might as well create a little of our own.
Tumblr media
Stay safe, stay well. XOXO, Nancy

Destination: Laughter
Summary: Reader meets her favorite actor while traveling. He finds out something about her that peaks his interest.
Warnings: Literally one curse word. All fluff otherwise.
Word Count: 3,202
Pairing: Chris Evans x Female!Reader & Ler!Chris Evans, Lee!Reader
Tumblr media
It was your first time going to Los Angeles. You were spending the summer with your aunt that lived out there. You were so excited because your aunt worked in production for different films and television shows. She was definitely the “cool aunt” in the family. You didn’t know what she was currently working on but it didn’t matter. You were just excited to spend the summer in a new city with your favorite aunt.
While from a small town in Connecticut, you were flying out of Boston seeing as that was the only airport that had flights to California that week.
You hugged your mom tightly, a slight tear falling from your eyes. “I’m going to miss you mama.”
Your mother gave you a final squeeze and kissed your cheek. “I know baby. I’ll miss you too but you’re gonna have such a great summer with your aunt. I’m always only a phone call away okay? And if you’re really miserable, we’ll get you back home.”
You nodded with a small smile and gave your mom one last hug and kiss on the cheek before heading into the terminal. It was it’s usual busyness, travelers coming and going. People coming into town for business, others coming home to their families, and people excitedly ready for a vacation. Passing through security quicker than expected, you passed the time browsing the shops and getting something to eat while you waited to board. After what seemed like forever it was finally time. With an excited bounce in your step you grabbed your carry on, having already checked in your big bag and handed the airline employee your ticket. Stepping on to the plane and politely greeting the flight attendants you anxiously looked for your seat. You hated keeping people waiting while you awkwardly searched. Finally finding your seat you groaned when you realized it was a middle seat. The two seats on other side of you were open for the time being. Maybe you’d be lucky and have the row to yourself you hoped. Putting your airpods in and already being engrossed in your movie you didn’t hear or notice someone approaching your aisle. A light tap on your shoulder got your attention when you heard a gentleman speak.
“I’m sorry to bother you, I’m in the window seat.” said the deep voice.
You froze. You knew that voice. You knew that Boston accent. Your eyes flitted up to be greeted by the sheepish smile of no other than Chris Evans. Your breath caught in your throat. There was absolutely no way this was real. This had to be a dream.
Chris cleared his throat, snapping you out of your daze.
“Oh! I-I’m sorry.” you said standing up to allow him in.
Chris gave you a polite nod and smile. Once getting himself situated and sitting down you tried to take some deep breaths without him noticing. There was no way this was real. There was no way you were spending the next six hours on a flight next to Chris freaking Evans. You’d been a fan of him and Marvel for years. You didn’t want to appear like an overzealous fan so you stifled your excitement. No one else ended up sitting on the other side of you and you contemplated moving to the aisle seat to give the A lister space. You wanted to speak to him but didn’t know what to say or disturb him. He wasn’t working, he was by himself. He gets bombarded by fans all the time, he probably just wants peace and quiet.
Shortly after take off the two of you sat in silence as you each watched something on your phones. You turned your phone slightly hoping he wouldn’t catch on that you were watching one of his movies.
You felt a nudge on your shoulder and turned to glance at Chris. His piercing blue eyes staring back at you while a soft smile tugged at his lips. “I’m sorry I haven’t been very chatty. I’m usually a social seat mate. I love talking to people but you seemed pretty engrossed in what you were doing so I didn’t want to interrupt.”
You gave a tiny smile in return, trying to slow your heart rate. “N-No it’s okay. You’re not bohothering me.” you said as a nervous giggle escaped your lips. You hoped he hadn’t noticed. He did.
“You know…” he said turning to face you slightly. “Normally when I meet fans they’re a lot more vocal around me.” he said in a teasing tone.
Your eyes widened as you shook your head. “I-I’m not quite sure what you mean.” you said attempting to pretend you had no idea who he was. You weren’t doing a very good job.
Chris chuckled. “So that’s not Age of Ultron you’re watching?” He asked his eyes twinkling as he tapped your phone in his direction.
Your cheeks flushed pink as you covered your face in embarrassment. There was no use pretending at this point. “I’m sorry. I didn’t want to bother you. You deserve peace and quiet on a flight not fans gushing over you.”
“Well that’s very thoughtful of you. I appreciate the gesture but I really don’t mind talking. Before you noticed me standing next to you, I saw what you were watching and I could tell by your reaction you recognized me.” he said with a smirk.
You groaned and covered your face again. Chris chucked and pulled your arms down so your face as visible. “And when you didn’t immediately talk my ear off or demanded a photo and respected my space, I was pleasantly surprised.”
A smiled tugged at your lips as you held out your hand. “I’m Y/N. It’s very nice to meet you.”
Chris took his big hand in yours giving it a firm shake. “Nice to meet you Y/N. I’m Chris.”
This time a full laugh bubbled from your chest. “Yeah. I know. I am a big fan. You’re very talented.”
It was Chris’ turn to blush. “Well that’s very kind of you to say. Thank you.”
“I’ll let you back to what you were doing. But if you get bored on this long flight, I’m a great listener.” you said with a casual shrug.
“Good to know.” Chris said with a wink.
An hour passed by and the two of you sat in silence, each engrossed in your own activities. Occasionally glancing at one another and a friendly smile before putting attention back to your separate forms of entertainment.
You gently tapped Chris’ arm to get his attention. Taking his airpod out of his ear and looking in your direction you looked down, embarrassed to ask. “I-I’m sorry. I was wondering if we could take a photo together. I didn’t want to bother you but wanted to ask before we land and it’s hectic getting off the plane. I’m sorry I’ll leave you alone.” you said turning back to your phone before Chris’ warm hand touched yours.
“Hey it’s okay! I really don’t mind. Here give me your phone.” he said holding his hand out. Handing your phone to the super star he turned it on selfie mode. Unexpectedly he reached around to put his arm around your back to pull you in for the photo. His fingers accidentally digging in to the spot by your ribs, causing you to squeak in surprise.
“Oh I’m so sorry, did I hurt you?” he asked genuinely concerned.
You shook your head frantically, embarrassed at the fact that Chris Evans had accidentally tickled you.
“No no. Just surprised me.” you said trying to play it off.
Chris raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything. Placing his hand back on the spot for the photo he felt your breath hitch in your throat and smiled to himself. After taking some smiley selfies and a some goofy faces he handed you back your phone.
“Thank you Mr. Evans.” you said placing your phone back on the tray table.
“Please. Call me Chris.” he insisted.
“Thank you Mr. Ev-Chris.” you fumbled but gave him a smile.
“So what are you traveling to LA for?” he asked causally as he placed his airpods back in the case.
You were amazed that a huge celebrity like him was even the slightest bit interested in your life. But you obliged his question and told him your summer plans with your aunt. He seemed genuinely interested in hearing about what you wanted to do while in LA. He gave some suggestions about fun non touristy things to do and even wrote down some places he thought you should check out. You in turn asked him what he’d been doing in Boston and he shared he was visiting his family before filming his next movie which would take a couple months and he wanted to see his family before then.
“Well that sounds like a great visit. I’m excited to spend time with my aunt but I miss my mom already.”
Earning a sympathetic smile from Chris he nodded. “I understand. I miss my family a lot when I’m off shooting. It’ll get easier.”
You nodded in agreement and reached over to grab your charger from your bag only to have it slip out of your hands and fall to the floor.
“Shit.” you grumbled unbuckling your seatbelt to search for it.
“Need help?” Chris asked.
You shook your head. “No no. I got it.” You said straining your arm down to reach the cord but ended up knocking it further away.
Growling in frustration you started to stand up when Chris put his hand out. “I got it. I feel it at my feet hold on.” He said as he unbuckled his own seat to maneuver his way to grab it. Unknowingly using your leg to brace himself as he stood back up, he gave it a squeeze as he pushed himself back up into his seat.
A high pitched squeal escaped your lips as you covered your mouth. Chris’ lips curled into a mischievous smirk. “What was that? Are you okay?” he asked.
You gave him a smile, hoping he wouldn’t acknowledge the noise that came out of your mouth. “Totally fine. Totally.” you said shifting in your seat.
“Are you sure? You seem really jumpy all of a sudden.” he said handing you your charging cord before folding his arms and leaning against the window with a sly smirk.
“Nope. Totally fine. Just didn’t expect you to use my leg as leverage.”
Chris searched your face for a second before a deep chuckled rumbled through his chest. “Ah I see. You’re ticklish.”
You choked on your drink as you took a sip and looked over to a smiling Chris. He was throughly enjoying watching your squirm. He had just met you but he was genuinely enjoying your company.
“Am not.” you said firmly crossing your arms.
“Ah okay. So I didn’t accidentally tickle you when we took the photo? Or just now when I grabbed your knee?”
“Nope.” you said emphasizing the P.
Chris nodded. “Gotcha. So if I did this.” he said this time giving your knee a firm squeeze. “Doesn’t tickle?”
You barked out a laugh and held up your hands in defense. “Ohokay! Mahaybe a little bit. But I usually don’t expect my seat mate to tickle me on a flight. We just met!” Truthfully you didn’t mind being tickled but you certainly weren’t going to disclose that. Especially not to Chris Evans.
Chris laughed. “True. But we’ve been talking for several hours now. I like to think us friends. I’ve enjoyed your company.”
You blushed as your eyes glanced up to his. “Likewise. I didn’t expect my favorite actor to be so genuine. It’s…. refreshing.”
“Well Im glad to be so. I guess I am pretty awesome.” he said with a wink.
With a teasing smirk, knowing you were now egging him on, you rolled your eyes. “Spoke too soon. Ugh. Actors are such divas.”
Chris’ eyes widened at your cheeky comment. “Hey!” he said with a slight pout. “That’s not very nice.”
“I’m sorry you’re right. Actors aren’t divas. Just the Marvel ones.” you said with a teasing tone in your voice.
“Okay that’s it.” Chris said dropping his phone on the tray table before digging his fingers into your side, giggles pouring from your lips as you squirmed away from his fingers with nowhere to go.
“Ch-Chrhihis!” you hissed slapping at his hands.
“What?” he asked innocently but mischief danced in his eyes. “Oh!” he said as his fingers danced up and down your side as you turned your body trying, but not really trying to get away. “Does that tickle?” he smirked.
“YEHES!” you said your laughter increasing as his one hand rapidly squeezed your knee and the other scribbled into your side. “Ihit tihihihickles!” you squealed trying to cover your mouth to muffle your laughter so you didn’t disturb the other passengers. After another minute he let up, allowing you to sit up and collect yourself. You couldn’t believe what had just happened. You had been tickled by Chris Evans. On an airplane of all places.
“Thahat wahas mehehean!” you said running your hands through your hair trying to catch your breath from the sudden tickle attack.
Chris smiled bashfully and shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe. But it was adorable.” he said giving you a friendly nudge.
Your cheeks turned pink as the heat rose in your cheeks. “Not adorable.” you said shaking your head.
Chris grinned before giving you a few final pokes, earning a few quiet giggles from you. “Yes. You. Are.”
You rolled your eyes but smiled at him before returning to your movie. The rest of the flight was pretty uneventful. The two of you sat in comfortable silence, occasionally asking a question or two before going back to what you were doing.
Around 30 minutes or so before landing, you felt your eyes getting heavy. Resting your head back on the seat you shut your eyes and dozed off. Unknowingly your head began to slip and gently landed on Chris’ shoulder. Surprised by the sudden weight on him, he turned to see you asleep on him, your chest slowly falling and rising as you slept, your mouth open slightly and your eyelashes fluttering every few minutes. He couldn’t help but smile to himself. You really were adorable. He looked down at you with a smile, not wanting to disturb your peace. He looked at you again, trying to guess how old you were. You were definitely an adult but you were so petite you could easily pass for a teenager. He’d only known you for a few hours but it was very rare to find people, women especially who didn’t fawn over his every move. He appreciated how you treated him like a normal person but still shared that you were a fan of what he did. He went back to reading his book while you snoozed.
As the pilot came over the speaker to announce that the plane would be landing shortly your eyes fluttered open. Realizing the position you were in you immediately jolted up.
“I’m so sorry! I did not mean to fall asleep on you. You should’ve woken me. I’m really sorry.”
Chris shook his head. “Y/N It’s okay, really. I didn’t mind. You looked peaceful I didn’t want to wake you.”
You searched his face, your mind convincing you he was just being polite. “Are you sure? I feel bad.”
Closing his book he turned towards you with a smile. Giving you a quick poke causing you to squeak and jump back he insisted it was okay.
“Alright, if you say so mr. movie star.” you said with a playful shove.
Chris began to dig through his bag as he searched for a pen and paper. “Here.” he said handing you the paper and pen. “Write down your info. I’ll send it to my assistant and she’ll give you a call so you can come see the set. Get the full “Hollywood” experience. Bring your aunt too. “
You looked at him stunned. “Oh Chris I can’t ask you to do that. You’re probably so busy, we would just be in the way.” you said attempting to hand back the paper and pen only to have it pushed back to you.
“I insist.” he said gesturing for you to write down your info.
Reluctantly doing so, you handed him back the paper and pen which he stowed back in his bag. “I’ll send this to her and she’ll reach out to you soon.”
You simply gave him a smile as the plane made its landing and approached the gate. The two of you made small talk for a few minutes before exiting the plane.
“Well Y/N this is where we part. It was wonderful meeting you. Thank you for your company on what would’ve been a boring flight.”
He opened up his arms for a hug which you happily obliged. He wrapped his arms around you and giving you a gentle squeeze before giving you a quick poke to the side making you jump back with a ticklish grin on your face.
“HE-HEY!” you chastised playfully.
Chris laughed. “Sorry. Had to. I’ll see you soon new friend. Enjoy LA!” he said with a wave before turning on his heel to head to the car that was most likely waiting for him.
Trying to navigate LAX was a lot harder than it seemed. Eventually while on the phone with your aunt you found her waiting for you by the baggage claim. Running into her arms you held her tightly. You really had missed her since she moved to further her career.
“Hey kiddo!” she said giving you a tight squeeze.
You laughed pulling away from her. “Auntie! I’m not a kid anymore. Well not legally anyway.” you said with a smile.
Your aunt smiled as she brushed a strand of hair from your face. “You’ll always be a kid to me Y/N. Even if you are all grown up.” she said giving you a chaste kiss on the head. “How was your flight?” she asked as you made your way out of the airport.
“It was good. You’ll never believe who I met.” you said as you picked your bag back up, throwing it over your shoulder. You told your aunt the tale of sitting next to your favorite actor and showed her the pictures you took. You left out the part of him tickling you. She wouldn’t believe it anyway. She might think it was weird. Or weird that you enjoyed it.
“You ready for the best summer ever?” she asked linking your arm with hers.
Your mind wandered to Chris. You convinced yourself he was just being nice since you were a fan, but he wasn’t actually going to invite you to come visit him on the set of the movie he was working on. Even so, you glanced down at your phone at the selfie you had taken and then back up at your aunt.
“Born ready.”
If you only knew.

The Guardian of Republic City: Mako x Female Reader - Part One
Tumblr media
Part Two, Part Three and Part Four.
Growing up poor in Republic City, you knew what it was like to search the street for pennies and have the rich look down on you like you were worthless. You'd grown up in the poorest section of the city with your mother and father who both worked 2 jobs each and still struggled to make ends meet. Their great-grandparents had come to this city from the Water Tribe hoping to find a better life but got stuck in the same cycle poor people always got trapped in and it was passed down to each new generation. All the way to your parents and you. When you were 16 your parents were both killed in a bending accident. A rich official was taken a wrong turn into your end of town and someone tried to mug them. The man's guards didn't hesitate, retaliating brutally, not caring who they knocked down trying to get the thief. Two such casualties were your parents. They didn't have water bending like you and were defenceless from the guard's flames. Your father was killed instantly shielding your mother and your mother passed away in the hospital a few hours later. You got to her in time to say goodbye. In her last moments she gave you the key to the family safe hidden under the floorboards in your small apartment. It contained all the money they'd managed to save over the years but it wasn't much. She told you to build a life for yourself and that she loved you with her last words. When you counted out your parent's life savings it all seemed so futile. They'd worked so hard and for what? You couldn't afford the rent alone on your wage and your landlord didn't care what you'd been through. He told you to pay up or get out. So you knew your time here was numbered and packed your meagre possessions to head to the water tribe where you hoped your distant family would take you in. Your parents had many family friends in Republic City and you did too, with your best friend Shara actually offering to take you in with her family but considering she had 5 other siblings you didn't think it was fair to take her up on her offer. So you said goodbye and bought your ticket for the boat to the Water Tribe. You had some time to kill before it left so you wandered around the pier and stopped at a small shop. You bought yourself a tea drink your parents had always said was too expensive but you promised yourself you'd buy it one day. Seeing as this was your last day in the city and you were almost penniless you figured you had nothing to lose and also bought a lottery ticket for fun.   You sat on a bench waiting for your ship and drank your tea as you scratched your lottery ticket, not really paying attention. "One airbender...two airbender..." you counted but paused as a third airbender appeared. One more and you'd win but these things were impossible to win right? Nobody even won them...then you revealed the fourth airbender. Time seemed to freeze and you felt like this was some sort of dream. You rubbed your eyes and flicked all the dust off the card but no there were really four airbenders. You had won the jackpot. You looked around almost expecting someone to grab it off you and quickly put it away safely in your pocket. You gathered your items and turned away from the boat. Republic City wasn't done with you yet.
4 years later Mako hated attending these fancy parties but ever since Bolin left and Korra went back to the Water Tribe he couldn't be picky about what his one remaining friend Asami wanted to do when she was back in town. So he donned the suit he ironically wore on his first date with her and walked into the building. He gave his name to the man on the door and was waved inside. He was anxiously assessing the room when Asami found him. "Mako!" she called and rushed over to hug him. "It's so good to see you" she smiled and he nodded "you too, you look great". "So do you! it's been so long". "Too long" he agreed and got the content happy feeling you get when you're with a good friend. The two chatted, catching up before Asami introduced Mako to a few people. "Y/n will be here tonight and I want you to meet her" Asami said. Mako nodded "yes your new friend, the one you made in the Fire Nation". Asami nodded "she's amazing Mako! You will just love her". Mako pursed his lips but didn't comment. He'd heard a lot about you in the past few months. A rich philanthropist from the Fire Nation who had come to save Republic City's poor. You'd arrived earlier this year and had set up factories and businesses in which you mainly employed the poorest of the city. You gave them good wages and safe working conditions which quickly generated a lot of workers and in turn lots of output with you opening up more and more locations. Asami had met you in the Fire Nation on a visit and helped you set up your first factories here in the city. Since then you'd since been working together closely and now you successfully supplied most of her factories. You'd also been providing education for your workers too and now had opened a school for their children too. That's what this whole party was for. It all sounded a little too good to be true in Mako's opinion. Some rich stranger shows up from nowhere and just starts helping the poor people for little gain herself? Something had to be wrong. You had to have some ulterior motive. "I just don't get why she chose her of all places" Mako said "rich people rarely do things out of the kindness of their own hearts". "She's a nice person Mako, not everyone has a deep dark secret". "But nobody even knows that much about her" Mako argued "where is she even from?". "There's nothing wrong with being private Mako and we know she's from the Fire Nation. It's not some big secret". "Then why start an empire here? Why not back in the Fire Nation? There are poor people there". "Well she told me she spent some time here as a child. We must've just made an impression on her that's all" Asami shrugged before shushing him "oh it's starting". Mako turned to see the host calling for attention. He explained how you were a friend of his and described the new school you were building. He exaggerated it in the typical way rich people did and Mako resisted the urge to roll his eyes. This whole event could've fed kids like him and Bolin for months. Then when you appeared Mako did hesitate in his ridicule of you because well you were beautiful and he was a stickler for pretty women. You were dressed in a gorgeous fitted suit with a beautiful wrap that hung off you dramatically. Your hair framed your face and your bright eyes showed curiosity and warmth. You weren't smiling but had a kind expression as you surveyed the room and joined your friend. Everything about you just screamed extravagance which reminded Mako of how he felt when he first met Asami. Totally out of his depth in a room full of people who never helped people like him. Still he was here to enjoy the party and be with his friend so he ignored everyone else and focused on Asami, the one rich person he knew he could trust. Your POV You eyed the room suspiciously and kept an anxious track of the time with your watch hidden just out of view on your wrist. You only had a limited amount of time here and had to do a round of the whole room before you could politely slip away. You'd saved your friend Asami for later in the evening as you figured you'd need a friendly face at the end. So as you were nearing the end of the night you approached her and she saw you coming and smiled. "Y/n" she grinned and hugged you. Her friendliness always surprised you and it was one of the reasons you felt comfortable with her despite her high-class status. "Asami thank you so much for coming, it's wonderful to see you" you smiled back. "I wouldn't miss it for the world" she told you and then glanced at her friend. You immediately panicked when you saw he had all the firebender features. Black hair, high cheekbones, golden eyes...textbook Fire Nation. Your story was pretty solid but being around people from the country you were supposed to have grown up in made you nervous. "Y/n this is my friend Mako, he's an ex-pro-bender and a detective under chief Beifong". That immediately made you relax as he was definitely from Republic City then. "Mako this is y/n, philanthropist, CEO and all-around great person". You smiled at Asami and then extended a hand to her friend "nice to meet you Mako". "You too" he said but his eyes didn't match his words. Judging by his suit which didn't fit him very well and looked a little worn, he wasn't from money. You and Asami chatted for while but Mako didn't say a word. You glanced at him and tried to bring him into the conversation "so Mako are you enjoying the party". Mako nodded "I am but I must admit I find it hard at these events sometimes". Asami elbowed him but you shook your head "no it's fine, please tell me why you find it hard". Mako looked at Asami and then continued "just the splendour of it all seems...wasteful and unnecessary. The food alone here could feed 10 kids for a week". Asami look livid but you nodded "I agree". "You do?" Mako asked and you nodded "yes that's why all this food has been purchased from local businesses across the city to help those small families and communities flourish. Any leftover food is being sent directly to a food bank to feed the homeless and poor. The outfit I am wearing was purchased from a charity auction where I bid money for it with the proceeds going to the Earth Kingdom refugees in Republic City. This building is one I recently bought and in the day it is an educational space for my workers who could never afford school or need qualifications to reach their desired careers. I assure you Mako I understand your frustration with these events and I would not attach my name to it if I hadn't tried to make it as beneficial to the community as possible". You finished your speech to find Mako staring at you stunned while Asami just stood there smirking "now do you see what I mean about her?" Asami asked. Mako nodded "I do...I'm sorry for questioning you". You shook your head "not at all, we all need to be questioned to keep us in check". Mako smiled "it's nice to know we have some rich people who actually care about the little people. You lived in Republic City too didn't you?" Mako asked. You tensed up as you always did when someone asked about your past but nodded "originally, but I've lived in the Fire Nation since I was a child". Mako looked like he was going to ask more questions so you excused yourself as someone called your name and said goodbye. "It was nice to meet you" Mako said and you nodded "you too" and walked away trying not to rush. You checked your watch, you had 10 minutes to go. Mako's POV After you'd walked away  Asami smiled "she's amazing isn't she?". Mako nodded "she is, I totally had her wrong but there's one thing that's bothering me. She lied when she said she grew up in the Fire Nation". Asami frowned "what, how can you tell?". "I've been trained in interrogating people and she was lying. Not about anything else just about growing up in the Fire Nation". Asami shrugged "how strange, why would she lie about something like that?" and Mako shrugged just as clueless "I have no idea". An hour later Make was on his way home when he heard shouting. He ran around the corner to see a rich man he recognised from the event earlier yelling. He was running towards three figures who were rushing away from a building. The man caught one of them by the arm and tried to stop them but the other person just knocked him down with water bending. Mako rushed forwards to help and caught the man "I'm an officer what's happening?". "This is my building and they're robbing me! Stop them!' the man yelled and Mako turned to see the van had taken off and the motorbike was following. He targeted the bike and sent some firebending at it. The fire knocked the bike over spilling the two passengers to the floor. One checked the other was okay before standing up to fight Mako. The water bender. "I'm an officer of the Republic City Police, surrender and put your hands up" Mako said although he knew it wouldn't achieve anything. He was right, the thief shot a beam of water right at his head. Mako dodged but the thief was definitely on the offensive trying to push him back. Mako tried to outmanoeuvre the fluid attacks but his formal wear was making it hard to fight back. He cursed his smart shoes as they slipped on the wet floor and barely raised his arms in time to intercept the attack coming right for him. He was thrown back by a jet of water and collapsed on the floor trying to regain his footing. However by that time, the thief had disappeared on the motorbike and there was nothing Mako could do.   They got away. A few days later Mako was still recovering from his fight with the water bender. He had bruises galore and still felt like a failure which didn't help considering the man who got robbed blamed him completely. The rich gentleman told Beifong it was Mako's fault for not apprehending the thief and that he should be fired. Asami told him the man was an asshole but this was a whole other level and Mako was almost pleased someone robbed him. As it had been a trying week Mako took a long dinner to meet Asami. He headed to her office and almost walked right into you. He jumped as he saw you and instantly felt embarrassed for questioning you the other night. "I'm sorry" you said moving out of his way but he shook his head "no I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, it's my fault". "It's Mako right?" you said recognising him and Mako resisted a shiver as your eyes scanned him. "How are you?" you asked and Mako smiled "I'm good thanks, how are you?". "Well thank you" but you trailed off noticing the bruises on his face "are you okay? What happened?". "I'm fine I just found some people robbing a factory on the way home from your party and tried to stop them...it didn't go well". You frowned "I heard something happened but I had no idea you were the officer injured. I can't help but feel partly responsible". Mako could tell you were sincere and quickly shook his head "it was your fault..you didn't rob him". "They did that to you?" you winced and Mako nodded "yes but I'm fine I promise". You nodded  "well that's good...I apologise but I must run. I have a meeting in town". Mako nodded "of course" and stood to one side to let you pass. He watched you go and stood staring for a few seconds before he carried on inside. He walked into the building and found Asami. "Hey ready for lunch?" she asked. Mako nodded "I just passes y/n, she noticed the mark on my face and asked if I was all right". Asami smiled "she's nice like that and I can tell you think she's attractive". Mako went to disagree but Asami smirked "I know you Mako there's no use lying" and so with a sigh he went quiet. Asami smiled "you should try talking to her. From what I can gather she doesn't have tons of friends here and I'm sure she'd like to get to know you. You both have a lot in common considering you're both from Republic City and the Fire Nation". Mako frowned, worried you'd judge him for how little he knew about his heritage "I might do". "Why don't you just stop by her school one night? They do evening classes, maybe there's something there you'd like to learn?". Mako shrugged and told her he'd think about it. Your POV You returned home and made sure you were alone before proceeding to the hidden staircase underneath your bookshelf. You walked down the lofty staircase and came to your underground storage unit. Shara was there sorting through the loot with two of her brothers and you nodded to her "how's the shoulder? Need any more healing". Your best friend smiled "I told you last night the bruising is misleading. I'm fine". "You fell off a motorbike" you reminded her and she gave you her arm sighing. "So I've been sorting through the stuff all day" she said and you nodded "is it what we wanted?". She nodded "it is, the exact shipment. It couldn't have gone any better...except perhaps for that fire bender". You nodded "Detective Mako, should I be worried about him?". Bihan, Shara's eldest brother hesitated "he's a good cop which is bad news for us. I don't think we need to be worried yet but I'd keep an eye on him. He's friends with your friend Asami right? That's the perfect excuse". You nodded "that’s a good idea I’ll do that”. “He’s cute though” Shara said under her breath and you shook your head as her brothers glared at her. “What? He is!” she said defensively and you chuckled “thanks for sorting all of this, do you need a lift home?". Shara’s younger brother Rulo smiled “Y/n we live 3 streets away”.  "I know but you guys are the closest thing I have to family. You helped me set up my business and all of this when I had nobody else to turn to. You’re all putting your lives at risk to help me so giving you a lift home is the least I can do”. Shara shook her head “y/n we all agreed to help you because we believe in you and trust you”. Rulo nodded “already you’ve changed this city and made all of our lives better. Not to mention our younger siblings can actually go to school because of you and we’re all in classes too!” he said happily. “We think of you as family too” Bhian told you “and family help one another...although it is weird seeing you in that disguise” he said gesturing to the black wig and golden contacts you always wore to hide your identity. “So the point is, you owe us nothing” Shara said “but we will take that lift, it’s cold outside”. You smiled and left your hideout safely secured.
You arrived at your school shortly afterwards and smiled at your assistant headteacher Naoki. "So how is our first week looking?" you asked. "Excellently" they smiled "attendance was been exceeded even our own expectations with almost 97% attending. Much higher than the local schools. It seems your theory about making the school local and the hours accessible was correct". You smiled watching the young students clustered around tables with their heads in books. Then you looked to the left where the adults were also learning skills from how to read and write to complex mathematics. "I am pleased, this is more than I could've dreamed". "We've had a lot of interest from all over the city too. An officer came in just a few minutes before and mentioned he knew you" they said gesturing to a tall figure in the back. You recognised Mako immediately from his broad shoulders and paused, your conversation with Shara and her brothers coming back to you. You had no idea why he was here but you had to remain calm and play this perfectly.
Mako was reading the list of classes your school offered when you appeared beside him "anything caught your eye?" you asked. Mako jumped before he realised it was you "y/n! It's nice to see you again. I just wanted to stop by and see how your school was doing but I can see it's doing amazing". You smiled "yes we've had a lot of interest. Most of the children's parents work for me so it’s great childcare and the parents are right across the hall studying too. It warms my heart to see families being able to receive an education together". Mako nodded "I bet it's more than most of them ever dreamed, they must be grateful to you". You shook your head "everyone deserves the right to education and to pursue the life they want. I am only providing them with that right". Mako smiled becoming fonder of you by the second "is there any way I can help out?". "Help out?" you asked "I thought you were here for lessons". Mako paused "I was but hearing you talk about bettering other people's lives makes me want to as well. I used to be one of those kids and I want to help other people so do you have use of me?". You smiled "I think so, we have bending classes Monday and Friday evenings. I'm sure the students would be floored to have an ex-pro bender as their coach". Mako smiled "I'd love to! What time does it start?". Mako's POV Mako walked out of the school feeling more peppy than usual. His hope had been restored in the world somewhat and he now had an excuse to spend more time with you. It was only when he got home that he wondered how you knew he was a firebender. Asami had only said he was a pro-bender and never mentioned his element. Then Mako realised there were many ways you might've worked it out. His appearance alone was a pretty big give away and you could've asked around about him. He hoped it was the latter. The idea of you asking people about him made him smile. Mako had a good feeling about you.

@fireandfae sent:
“Kingscholar!” He bursts through the door of the room, leaving the poor thing hanging by one hinge, though he’s far too excited to notice such insignificant details at the moment.
“Look what has been announced!” Without taking any notice of the fact that Leona is currently sitting in front of his computer, his stream turned on, he slams down a brochure for the nearby museum on the desk in front of him.
“They plan to devote an entire week to the topic of gargoyles.” His eyes are sparkling, as if he were a child about to be turned loose in a candy shop. “An examination of the history and evolution of the gargoyle from ancient times to the present.”
“Come,” He grabs at his elbow. ‘We must reserve our tickets at once - oh.” He finally notices the computer and spares it a fleeting glance. “Are you doing your - internet - things again?”
Tumblr media
The apartment for once, Malleus seemingly entertaining himself with a walk out in the town. Leona had wasted no time in setting up his stream when the dragon didn't immediately return, seizing the chance to have some privacy. Despite how random they could be, his followers always seemed ready to go, the number of watchers growing rapidly before he'd even finished his usual greeting.
Of course, all good things must come to the end, which came in the form of a sickening crack as wood splintered from the (very unnecessary) force of an impatient dragon. Leona only has enough time to pull his headphones off as Malleus starts rambling and showing off the gargoyle exhibit brochure.
Oh no. He knew that twinkle in the other's eyes. The same that a puppy had when presented with a new toy. The chat behind him could only swoon at the endearing sight, though Leona felt quite the opposite. After all, the other's enthusiasm didn't change the fact the big oaf had just broken down the poor door as if it hadn't even been locked.
Leona's lips part to try and scold the other for barging in and breaking the door... again. Before he can though, Malleus is already taking him by his arm, rearing to go buy tickets as if they would sell out at any moment. As if. It doesn't take long for the other to recognize he'd been busy with something, seemingly recognizing the screen and the unimpressed look the lion gives him.
When the other finally pauses, Leona's already shoving at his face to keep him from looking at the chat too closely. Thankfully by now, the chat's attention had shifted from lewd comments to laughing emojis mixed with excited exclamations about the dragon. Ugh. Once more, any chance of Leona continuing the stream was dead, already knowing he wouldn't be able to calm the chat down.
At least Malleus's appearance was getting him hefty donations, the numbers shooting up in the background as Leona stands up and starts to push Malleus towards the door. "I will when you fix my damn door. Didn't you learn after you broke the window last week," he snips back, shooting the dragon a glare.
One that wavers when Malleus's expression falls to one of deep disappointment at the sharp words. He looked like a kicked puppy, Leona thankful their faces weren't visible to the camera at this distance. With a roll of his eyes, he takes the brochure as he leans in just enough to mutter into the other's ear, "I'll buy the tickets after I finish here. Now quit yer moping."
With one final push, he gets Malleus out of his room, stubbornly looking anywhere but at green eyes so as to not see the other's reaction. He picks up the destroyed door, leaning it against the doorframe to give him some semblance of privacy (Never mind the fact Malleus's horns could still be seen from a crack at the top).
Turning back to the livestream, he can still see the heart emojis filling the screen, making him huff once more. "...Technical difficulties~," he dismisses, the sultry tone from earlier replaced with a serious one before he ends the stream. A beat passes before he opens another tab, typing in the museum's URL on the search bar. Stupid lizard.

Open Plots For Sale In Hyderabad Below ₹15 Lakhs
Open Plots for Sale in Hyderabad Below ₹15 Lakhs: A Guide to Your Dream Investment
So, you’ve been bitten by the real estate bug, huh? And now you’re on the hunt for open plots for sale in Hyderabad below ₹15 lakhs. Well, sit back, relax, and grab a cup of chai, because this guide will help you navigate the exciting world of affordable real estate in the City of Pearls. And don’t worry, we’ll throw in some humour and a few personal anecdotes to keep things light and fun.
Tumblr media
Why Invest in Open Plots in Hyderabad?
A Growing City with Endless Opportunities
Hyderabad isn’t just famous for its biryani and Charminar. It's also one of India’s fastest-growing cities, offering a plethora of opportunities for everyone from IT professionals to entrepreneurs. Investing in open plots here is like hitting the jackpot without even buying a lottery ticket!
Affordable Investment
Let’s face it, not everyone has a billionaire uncle to fund their real estate dreams. That’s where affordable plots below ₹15 lakhs come into play. They offer a chance to own a piece of Hyderabad without breaking the bank.
Top Areas to Consider for Open Plots Below ₹15 Lakhs
Shadnagar: The Rising Star
Shadnagar is one of those places that’s been on the radar of savvy investors for a while now. Located about 50 km from the city centre, it’s becoming a hub for affordable housing and open plots.
Why Shadnagar?
Proximity to IT Hubs: With the new IT parks cropping up, Shadnagar is becoming a prime location for techies.
Infrastructure Development: The area is witnessing rapid development in terms of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Affordable Prices: You can still find plots below ₹15 lakhs, making it a steal.
Adibatla: The Next Big Thing
Adibatla might sound like a mouthful, but it’s a name you’ll want to remember. Known for its aerospace and defence industry, this area is slowly transforming into a residential hotspot.
Why Adibatla?
Industrial Growth: The presence of TATA Aerospace SEZ and other industries ensures job opportunities and development.
Connectivity: Well-connected by road and rail, making it a convenient location.
Affordable Plots: Yes, you guessed it – you can find plots below ₹15 lakhs here too!
Yadagirigutta:A Holy Investment
If you’re looking for a place with spiritual vibes, Yadagirigutta is your go to. This temple town is not just a pilgrimage destination but also a promising real estate spot.
Why Yadagirigutta?
Tourism and Pilgrimage: The famous Lakshmi Narasimha Temple attracts visitors, boosting local economy and infrastructure.
Development Projects: The government’s focus on developing the temple town is driving real estate growth.
Affordable Plots: Plenty of options under ₹15 lakhs, perfect for a peaceful retreat or an investment.
What to Look for When Buying an Open Plot
Location, Location, Location
Just like in Bollywood, location is everything in real estate. Make sure the plot you’re eyeing is well-connected and in a developing area.
Legal Clearances
Trust me, you don’t want to end up like my cousin Vinay who bought a plot only to find out it was disputed land. Always check for proper legal clearances and documentation.
Infrastructure and Amenities
Look for plots in areas with good infrastructure and amenities. Schools, hospitals, and shopping centers nearby can make your life easier and increase the plot’s value.
A Quick Comparison: Shadnagar vs. Adibatla vs. Yadagirigutta

A Personal Anecdote: My Plot-Hunting Adventure
Let me share a little story. A few years ago, my friend Ravi and I decided to invest in an open plot. After weeks of searching, we stumbled upon a gem in Shadnagar. The price was perfect, and the location was promising. We took the plunge, and today, Ravi’s plot has almost doubled in value. Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for my lottery ticket to hit!
Tips for First-Time Buyers
Do Your Research
Before jumping in, spend some time researching the market. Visit the areas, talk to locals, and get a feel for the place.
Set a Budget
It’s easy to get carried away, but stick to your budget. Remember, you’re looking for plots below ₹15 lakhs.
Get Professional Help
Don’t hesitate to seek help from real estate agents or legal experts. They can guide you through the process and ensure everything is above board.
Conclusion
Investing in open plots for sale in Hyderabad below ₹15 lakhs is not just a dream but a viable reality. With areas like Shadnagar, Adibatla, and Yadagirigutta offering affordable options, now is the perfect time to make your move. Just remember to do your homework, set a budget, and seek professional advice. Happy plot hunting, and may your investment grow faster than your love for Hyderabadi biryani!

IRL Pokémon Journey (Part 2)
youtube
(mood set music)
The morning arrived fast and I was being shook awake “sis come on get up let's get the day started all ready” I wake up a little groggy rubbing my eyes ”what time is it” Kio was all smiles and she walked over to the balcony door and opened it up the breeze from outside wiped up the curtens and her hair “its 11am sis now get up hahhaha” I shake my head and step out of bed and walk to the bathroom and reached for the handle, just then the door opened and I saw a Pokémon walk out I followed it with my eyes and then I ran up to Kio and grabbed her shoulders “were in the Pokémon world....none of that was a dream” Kio chuckled at me while she was petting her Lucario's head “nope it was all real sis hahahaha why not let one of your Pokémon out” I look over to my bag and let go of Kio’s shoulders and picked out a poke ball and looked at it “what one is this it’s a dusk ball......dark type maybe”
As soon as I said that the ball opened and out popped a Zoroark I was so happy “yay I have my very own Zoro.....but the one in my fanfic could talk tehe” I giggled and Zoroark rested hes hand on hes hip “and who says I can't talk” I staired blankly at him “you just spoke” Zoro nodded and chuckled to himself “sure did” I was so happy that I didn’t relies another ball opened up on its own and I randomly got a cold chill up my back “brrrrr that’s cold” I look up to see another one of my Pokémon happily resting its head on mine as its body draped down my back “hu.....i didn’t call you out Saphira” she happily nuzzled the top on my head and I just giggled “sis come on better get a shower and get changed im too existed to be indoors today” I giggle and pet Saphira “ok time to get off my head so I can grab a shower now” she let out a happy cry and floated off my head and plonked herself on my bed with Zoro.
I took a quick shower dried my hair and put it up into a pony tail, I borrowed some of my sisters eyeliner as she always has it with her in her bag “ok im ready to go now” Kio smiles bright and we leave the budew inn to get to the train station “so were should we go first” Kio pulls out her rotom phone and it floats in front of her face “well I've looked at the search engine they have here took me no time at all to get use to this phone but it says Windom is the best place to go shopping and also look for an apartment” I smile and nod and pull mine out and get familiarised with the new phone “we should grab a coffee though there a battle caff here in Motastoke so we go there to get one” I smile and nod we walked there with our Pokémon Kio had Lucario out and I had both Zoro and Saphira out.
We got our coffee and walked to Motastoke station and got our tickets and waited on the platform for the train, I was going through what Pokémon i had with me and the team of six I wanted was with me in there balls, I look over to Kio phone to see her doing the same thing and saw she had her shiny Bravery “sis if you have Bravery why didn’t we fly over I have two flyers” Kio looked at me and smiled “we could of done that but I doubt Zoro like the one in your fanfic having the ability to open a portal” I looked at him and he shook hes head “nope I don’t have the ability to do that I just talk sorry” I smile and pet hes fur “that's why we're not flying we be bringing a lot of stuff back” I sheepishly smile and scratch my cheek “yer I guess your right” it didn't take long for our train to arrive and we sat down across from each other.
It was a long journey but we all keped busy I was having a good lath with Kio as she was wondering if having Saphira drape down my back coursed me to get cold as she a ghost type as well as dragon I said I don’t mind if anything it was keeping me cool, its surprisingly hot here in Gala nothing like back home with bipolar weather, its true though living in England you have the annoying choice before you step out your door to bring an umbrella or not coz if you don’t have it pores down on you but if you do it don't rain at all, this is why it's we call it bipolar weather because it be nice outside one minuet and the next the havens open up and it's like that nonstop, it can't make up its mind hahahahaha, we finally reach Windom and when we step out I can see the battle tower and I look up at it “is Leon still the champion or is he working there as a chairman now” Kio herd my ramblings and cheekly smiled at me “i wonder if he can see you from there, how knows you could be stering at each other and not relies it” my cheeks turn red and I shake my head “sis don’t say stuff like that......you get me all embarrassed” she happily chuckled to herself and pulled out her rotom phone to look for a good clothing store, I walked out into the road to head to the water fountain to sit down but all of a sudden I heard a screech come from around the corner and a car was dangerously driving in my direction, I went to jump out of the way but Saphira flew in and picked me up lunching me into the fountain, I was safe but soaked “aw man I just had a shower erlea as well” the car screeched to a hult and the door open and a tall woman with orange hair stepped out “ow my good im so sorry I didn’t see you there you're not hurt are you” Kio ran over and gave me her hand along with Zoro and they both pulled me out “no im ok i wa......” I moved my fridge out of the way and looked up to the lady and my face turned sour.
Kio saw and she whispered into my ear “sis your face” I realised I was giving her the stink eye and changed my facial excretions “Sonia you need to be careful were you're driving you could of hurt her” I look behind Sonia and my eyes widen and I start to back up a little as my cheeks started to flush a deep red hue “hahahahahah sorry Hop I didn’t mean to and this lady's Dragapult saved her” Kio was smirking and im frozen on the spot, no anything but Hop I don't think I can do this right now, he walks up to me and smiles “sorry about that Sonia can drive very recklessly, I hope you didn’t hurt yourself” I shake my head no as im unable to get any words out but Kio nudges my arm “im fab.....no wait...im good...ok is it hot or just me...sis” I franticly look at her as to say get me out of this situation and Hops looking at me confused Kio just giggle at me.
“hehehe you got to mind my sister she gets very shy around hot guys” I turn red as a beetroot and grab her hand and bow to him “thank you for your concern, I need to go.....wait we need to.....we got stuff” I trip over my last remaing words and started spitting word vomit I got so embarrassed I just took off running while still having hold of Kio hand “hahahahah thanks for worrying about my sister bye” once we’re out of their view and ear shot Kio started lathing at me I was shaking and bet redd in the face “hahahahaha did you see Hops face he pulled after I said you get shy around hot guys and after when u got all flustered hahahahah priceless” I look up after calming down a little and pinked her cheek “when I was begging for you to jump in there I didn’t want you to say that and after I spat word vomit I made a right twat out of myself”  I let go and grone into my hands “why did Hop have to pop up of all people and hes of age too.....aaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhh” I scratch my head franticly and Kio was still chuckling to herself and started to walk so I flowed her.
“To be honest sis im impressed you didn’t faint heheheheheh” I sigh as she giggles away along with Zoro “i don’t need to read minds to know you like him” I look at Zoro and pulled a pained look “ow come on not you too.....i get enoth with my sis teasing me” I sigh and pout “you know that still could happen if we run into Leon or Raihan” Kio was having the time of her life chuckling away and I just smile softly at her “so tell me what was Hops face like” she looks at me and smirks “well he may have been smiling at your word vomit and blushing a little” I looked at her in shock, but just then I catch my foot on a bit of pavement that was sticking out and go flying forward and running into something “what the.....” im on the floor rubbing my nose “aow that hurt......did I full into a brick wall” just then a big hand reached down to me and I look at it “hahahahahah nope just me” I look up to see a tall masculine frame hovering over me and I made contact with hes stunning yellow eyes “GOD DAM IT LEON........don't stop when im talking to you” I look next to Leon to see a tall ass guy standing next to him “sorry Raihan it just this lady ran into me” Im still on the floor trying to prosses what's going on.
Kio walks up to me and holds out her hand “sis you ok do you need a hand” im miles away and I can't hear what she saying im just stuck looking at both of these hunky men, Kio squats down beside me and starts clicking her fingers in front of my face and Raihan walks over “she ok? She seems out of it” he kneels down to me and gets super close “hay she kind of cute hehe what's your name beautiful” I come back and pull away and my face tuns bright red and after it all went blank “sis......ow come on now's not the time to pass out...HAY” Kio was shaking me franticly but it was no hope I was out cold, she sighs and puts my arm around her shoulder and she lifts me up onto my feet “do you need help” Kio looks at Leon and smiles wile nodding “please she dead wait right now” Leon chuckled and turns round “just drape her onto my back” Kio moves but just then she felt me being lifted off her shoulder “hay Saphira what you......”
Saphira moved me over to Leon and he grabbed my legs and held onto them tightly as he stood up “hahahahah is this lady your trainer” Saphira bopped up and down in happiness “ha she has a dragon type nice” Kio giggled and we headed off to a small garden close to Windom station and as soon as we got there Leon layed me down on the bench were my sister was sitting and my head was in her lap “im so sorry for the way my sister just passed out just now” Leon and Raihan sat across from her while I was still out cold, “its ok hahahahah I can't say I've seen you both around before” Kio smiles and nods at him “yer we just moved to Gala......well we not got a place of our own just yet, but that’s why we're here” Raihan nods wile smiling at her he also moves hes hands so there both resting on the back of hes head “well it's always nice to see two more beautiful lady's around, so have you both decided where you're going to live”
Kio nods at him and looks at our Pokémon that were sitting down with each other “Ayla wants to live in Hamerloke me I want to live in Spikmoth” Raihan smirked at Kio “so your sister wants to live in Hamaloke heh, looks like I be seeing her around pretty often then” Kio chuckles to hes flirting and Leon looks at her “so you're not going to be living together then” Kio shook her head and she smiled softly “we kind of have our reasons we chose those places to live, but its not far away from each other if Ayla had it her way she live here in Windom, but she wants to stay somewhat close to me, also she like Hamerloke she said it be a dream come true if she could live there on day” Raihan and Leon smile and nod “so what's your reasons for those places to live, don’t tell me you both know who we are”
Raihan happily chuckles to himself and Kio smirks at him “ow my sis is a big fan of you and Leon and she has been for a long time” I heard what she said and I snaped out of consciousness and sat up quickly and spun round to her “ ow your one to talk what about you with Piers” Kio turns bright red and her eyes widen, I could see she was looking behind me so I turn round “ow shit.....me and my big mouth” standing behind me was a skinny lanky guy that was slightly hunched over “what's that about me” he spoke in a monotone voice and I pulled a sheepish look, Rihan got up and walked over to him and leaned on hes shoder “looks like you have a fan from a different regen aren't you lucky” Piers shrugs him off and sighs, I look back over to Kio and realise she no longer next to me but over were our Pokémon are with a slight blush spared along her cheeks.
Piers goes sits down in Raihan’s spot so he came over and sat next to me I went completely rigged and griped my hands “so how long has your sister been a fan of Piers” I look at Raihan that moved hes arms back and was now resting on the bench and I looked over and saw that I was close to hes arm so I moved and sat on the bench sideways and tried to regain composter “ she been a big fan for a long time, Kio loves her rock music anything from soft to heavy......Piers is like her idol” Kio looks at me and she still blushing away “odd someone form a different regen herd of my music” I bring my finger up to my lips and giggle a little  “you be surprised of how famous you are” I giggle away its nice I don’t get Nervous around Piers I think it's because my crush for him has gone so it's kind of relaxing to talk to him......but the other two “so as you know of Leon im taking a beautiful lady like yourself have herd of me and my aggressive natcher” Raihan gets up close to me and I turn my head on him as I was getting shy and just nod “hahahahah you have nice, but why you getting shy for don’t tell me you like me like that, do you Ayla” he had a sexy smirk on hes face and leans even closer to me and moves he’s hand to my chin, but I lean back so he misses and im bright red agen feeling like im going to faint, but while I was leaning back I lost my balance and ended up fulling backwoods off the bench and landing on my back, everyone looked at me with surprised looks and Raihan leans over the bench and looks at me “you ok down there” im on the floor rubbing my back and respond to him “yer im good” he just looks at me puzzled “your kind of clumsy aren't you”
I sat up a little embarrassed while looking to my side “i.....im...not that clumsy” Leon got up and walked over to me and gave me he's hand while talking to Raihan “your scaring her, don’t get too close like that no wonder why she fell back” I look at Leon out stretched hand and go to take it but I was hesitant, am I really going to hold he's hand......ow god heart stop racing please I don’t want to pass out agen, Raihan sat back down on the bench and rested he's hand on the back of he's head agen “i didn’t scear her, she gust lost her balance had nothing to do with me being close to her” Leon shook he's head and looked at me “ don’t mind him, he's always this way around attractive women” I blush a little and a smile creeps on my face and I finally take Leons hand as he helped me back up.
When I do i look over to Piers I saw he was miles away looking towards Kio while she was chilling with our Pokémon “so your names are Kio and Ayla” Kio looks over to Piers and shyly smiled “yes im Kio and that over there is my big sis Ayla” I step to Leons side and done a cute smile and wave at him, just then Saphira flew over to me and placed herself on top of my head agen while her body draped down my back “heheheheh you're not a little Dreppy anymore sweetie you're a lot bigger now” I was happily giggling away while petting her “she very fond of you” I look up to Leon and nod happily to him ”iv always loved Dragapult’s all my life so I was very happy to get one as well as a shiny” Leon chuckled warmly and moved he's hand out and scratched under her chin, she let out a happy but relaxed cry “wow how did you know that was her favourite place to be scratched”
Leon looks at her fondly “i have one of my own and he likes this too” I smile happily at him, my nerves seemed to have calmed down im not feeling like I want to flee out for fear, Piers got up from where he was sitting and made he’s way over to Kio “im guessing Lucario your Pokémon” Kio nods with a happy smile of her face and he looks at Zoroark “and Zoroark” Zoro looks at him while he was eating a berry and Kio lathed shyly at him “he's my sisters, she has a big fondness for Zoroarks, could be because there a like, mischievous and little pranksters” Zoro happily chuckled away to himself staying silent as to not give he's ability's away, Piers smiles warmly at Kio and she looks back at Lucario as she couldn’t keep eye contact with him anymore, I was happily smiling seeing Kio finally meeting the man of her dreams I hope all goes well with them two, just then Leon spoke up “im guessing you two not been to Gala before”
Me and Kio look at each other it's not like we can say we have but only in the game so we know our way around quite well so we both shook our heads no “well I happily show you both around if you like in my spear time when im not working in the battle tower, we can exchange number to if you like” both me and Kio look at each other and I pull out my Rotom phone and Kio dose the same when she walks up to me, we all exchanged each other numbers “awesome two more hotties in my phone” Raihan sounded happy with himself and Kio was lathing away while I was blushing agen, just then I heard a sound of a camera shutter and I look at Raihan that was smiling happily to himself “adding that to your contact info, ok Kio your up” she just smiled bright and did the peace sine and Raihan added that too her contact info too.
“well we should be heading off now but it was nice to meet you two, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to message me ok” I smile shyly and nod and Kio gave him the thumbs up “same goes for me lady's, or if you just want to chat I happily respond to you both” Raihan winks at us and Kio lathing will im red in the face “same goes for me......as long it's not when im doing practice” Piers smiles warmly at us and I smile brightly back as it was Kio turn to blush a little, we waved good bye and when they were out of view me and Kio jump for joy “ow my god we got their numbers sis” I was happily hugging her tight and then pulled away “i can't believe it I have both Raihan and Leon in my phone” we were so happy to meet those three but we had things to do so we made a b line for the fashion district to get ourself a new style change.
