begging people to watch Grease: The Rise of the Pink Ladies:

it’s got gays

strong female leads, some of which are poc (but not v many bc it’s based in the 50s) (edit since i posted this after watching only one episode,, hella poc !)

its a musical comedy

the music is insanely good

the choreography is so so good

it’s actually funny

drew barrymore loves it

gender envy for the greasers tbh

good storyline so far

the showrunner hired primarily people of color as the writers & directors of the show

also has a cute little peak at frenchie & rizzo as children (like one small scene)

anyway if you liked Grease i highly recommend bc i can already tell i’m gonna be hyper-fixated on this

but if asked he would say sm shit like spongebob so ppl think he’s just joking and don’t take him seriously bc he’s a little embarrassed abt it (tho it rlly isn’t a bad musical tho, it’s actually quite entertaining but ppl outside the theatre community wouldn’t know that lmfao)
