Father of Mine

Summary: Master Lee respects Kim Doju's response to his offer.

Author's note: Yeah it's official I'm obsessed with the second older couple, I was so sad they had no scenes together today lol (Go away Park Jin don't capsize my ship!!) I can't stop imagining them as one big happy family so here I go again with more Master Lee and Kim Doju.

He understands immediately what she's doing and while it does make his chest ache with its indirect stab he accepts the non answer to his request for courtship.

He sits at the table sipping on a fine cup of tea wondering what excuse will come out of her lovely mouth this time.

"Oh, Master Lee I did not intend to keep you waiting but unfortunately I cannot take a walk with you today. I must..." He calmly watches her eyes dart around the room as if praying that something will simply manifest and save her from entertaining him. With a sad but complacent smile he finishes the last of the jasmine infused tea, ignoring the burn on his tongue. Her rejection hurts far worst than that anyway.

"I understand."

She pauses looking guilty for only a moment before asking, "You do?"

He nods solemnly before standing to take his leave. He dips his head in a bow regardless of their positions, it was nice to feel such passion for another. He intends to remember it fondly.

"I best take my leave."

Carrying himself with grace that he does not feel inside, he walks with ease towards the door.

But quick as lightning, she's moving chasing him with panicked eyes glancing at him in question before grabbing the sleeve of his robe, her fingers tight on the smooth material.

It feels like she has pushed her hand through his chest and gripped his heart directly. It's hard to breathe.

"Wait! I- I cannot go but Jang Uk is visiting, he could keep you company so this would not have been a waste of your time."

This already the furthest thing from a waste, he was able to see her, drink her tea and feel her hands on his sleeve, it was all worth more than anything he owned.

But he does not dare utter such damning words lest he make her uncomfortable with his unwanted attention.

He contemplates his response, he had intended to return to his room and tend to his wounds but hope shines brightly in her distracting eyes and he cannot deny her anything especially this, he can admit that he enjoys spending time with the boisterous boy. He is intrigued to say the least, Uk's talent is undeniable and unlike others he does not think that power always leads to corruption. Uk is good, and he can remain this way with guidance.

The decision is easy in the end.

"If he is not previously preoccupied." He hums easily, trying and failing to ignore her hand still clutching him firmly.

His eyes widen as she jumps suddenly in glee, an adorable sound leaving her lips as she shakes her head in decline.

"He's not busy at all!"

Then he's left standing alone as she finally releases him to go retrieve her young master and in his eyes adoptive son.

They were quite the pair.

She knows that she should halt her silly trickery but how can she when Uk had come home with such evident pride and joy on his face after their fishing trip?

She had tried her hardest to be a mother figure to him, knowing she could never dare take the place of his real mother but when he had looked up at her with those huge curious eyes she knew in that moment she was a goner. Her heart belonged to him.

As a boy it was easier to hide him from his reality- showering him with all her love so he wouldn't ask about his parents but as he grew so did the questions and his self loathing. He would watch let kids with longing so clear in his eyes it made her want to hide him away from the world and its cruelties.

"Did they leave because I'm not good enough?"

She refuted his question adamantly hugging him tight as he sobbed into her arms, angry tears wetting her shoulder and shattering her heart.

He cried most nights until one day he just stopped.

Stopped caring.

Stopped crying.

Just stopped everything. And that she found, wasn't any better.

But now there had been a change in her Uk, something profound and she couldn't quite put her finger on it but he was happier, smiling more and determined- the little boy that hid behind her legs and snuck honey biscuits when he thought she wasn't looking was finally becoming a man, it was enough to make her cry tears of relief.

And she wants to keep adding to that happiness, he deserved to have his cup run over. It has been empty for so much of his life.

Master Lee was a surprise but a welcome one.

He was kind, calm, soft spoken and gentle. She had never met a man quite like him before, he made her feel....

She shakes her head stopping those thoughts. This wasn't about her, it was about Jang Uk. Of course no one could replace his father but it was obvious how much he admired master Lee.

It was a feeling that she truly understood.

Even know as she surreptitiously watched them sparring in the center of the manor she could see Uk, taking his shouted directions and twisting to meet his sword head on. Master Lee was.... captivating to say the least his magical powers so strong she had never seen him wield a sword until now. But his swordsmanship was evident in the deft way he moved and easily evaded her Uk. They were clearly no match, at least not yet but she had full faith that Uk would make himself one day.

She was already proud of him for refusing to let the world break him.

"Not bad. I'm impressed that you haven't given up yet. Not many people can last this long in a spar with me."

"Are you bragging right now?" Uk quips back, while grinning at the backhanded praise.

She gasps in shock at the impertinence of her young master, that was no way to speak to an elder and the urge to admonish him and twist his ear was overwhelming. But she stays hidden curious to see master Lee's reaction.

She doesn't have to wait long.

His brows raise before one side of his lip follows, humour clear on his face.

"I do not brag. Stating facts are not bragging."

Her young master looks vaguely disgusted at the reply, his tongue poking out in jest but to her shock instead of reprimanding him Master Lee only grins wider before launching himself at her master who is unprepared, knocking his sword from his hand.

Uk looks disappointed staring at his sword before starting to rise with a sigh.

Her chest squeezes as the older man extends a weathered hand to her defeated master.

"You have a long way to go."

He tugs her young master easily to his feet, moving his hand to his shoulder now.

"But you are going. You should be proud of your progress."

Ah.

There it was, that smile.

She can't help but smile along with her young master, watching fondly as they walk away together.

Distantly she can hear Uk's loud childish whining.

"Why did I have to bet my biscuits? Don't you get enough biscuits from Kim Doju, why do you need mine too?"

Oh! That reminded her, she would need to pack more biscuits for Master Lee and his favorite foods.

He was doing her such a service it was only right that he was properly rewarded.

He has fun. He's been having a lot of fun since he stumbled upon the fiery young master and his loyal "maid" who he had noticed watching their spar raptly.

But he knows that he can no longer stay here, it wouldn't do to make Kim Doju uncomfortable in her own home. He would meet Jang Uk outside and hope that they could all move past this transgression.

He glides to the exit, it will be easier to go without a formal farewell. He already told her that he understood so anything more wasn't necessary.

She was a beautiful woman in far more ways than her face. He just hoped that the man who received her heart cherished it the way she deserved.

He's almost at the door when he hears rapidly approaching steps and pants filling the otherwise silent air. He knows who it is without even turning. Can already feel her immediate effect on him.

"Master Lee! Wait!"

He sighs closing his eyes for but a second, finding his calm before spinning to meet her gaze flooded with confusion.

"Where are you going? Why are you leaving without saying goodbye?" 

He struggles not to make an unsavory face, remembering how she lied and tried to escape his presence earlier. Her behavior made no sense now.

"I thought this was better."

"How is this better? Is this how you treat someone that you claim to-"

She screams slapping a hand over her mouth, her eyes wider than he's ever seen them.

He processes her words, dissecting them piece by piece before doing the same to her face.

She was blushing.

Her heart rate was abnormally fast, he could see in a vein in her throat.

Her hands were twisted in the furling material of her dress.

"You're embarrassed....and upset?"

She looks away with a huff, the first time he's seeing this infamous temper that others have warned him about. Uk's warning the loudest.

Unfortunately for him, her ire does nothing but make his heart pound even faster.

"How could I not be when you leave without any word?"

"Kim Doju, I have come to see you three days this week. You declined my offers each time. Surely, you know that I would understood what you were telling me."

She blinks slowly, mouth falling open comically before realization unfolds on her face like badly conceived origami.

"Oh. You thought...."

There's no need to finish the sentence, the rest is crystal clear.

"Yes. I told you earlier, I understand. You are politely rejecting me. I've never done this before, but even a fool like me gets that much."

The shock minutely starts to melt from her face as he speaks, but it's merely transfered to him as he watches her eyes melt into something too soft and too tender.

Too much to be pointed at him.

Worse than a blade.

"You thought I was rejecting you yet you still spent time with Jang Uk today. You still trained with him and praised him and--" the rest of her words are swallowed by the sob that tears through her lips.

His body moves towards her before he even makes the conscious decision.

He had made her cry.

He wants to attack himself.

Placing both hands on her shoulders he speaks in his most soothing tone.

"Do not cry. This will not affect my relationship with your young master. I like him and enjoy spending time with him, I know it makes you happy but I also wanted to do it. So you don't need to worry."

It's not until she looks at him that he realizes how close they are standing, her face filling his vision and desires that he shouldn't have swarm him like pests.

"I....I should leave."

He lowers his hands with finality, taking one, two, three steps backwards before turning and continuing his journey- he will go stay with Heo. His pupil will be too eager to house and tend to him. He had been so offended when he had informed him that he would be staying at the Jang Manor.

"Yes!"

His foot pauses mid step, arms frozen by his side.

Was she agreeing that he should leave? That seemed superfluous as he was already making his way.

So she must be agreeing to something else.

He retreats once more.

When he turns her eyes are on the ground but the flush on her cheek is even more blinding than before.

"Look at me Kim Doju."

She pouts, shifting nervously before following his request.

"Yes? What are you saying yes to?"

More shifting. She looks more nervous than soul shifters in front of Gwigu. It almost makes him laugh.

"To the offer you made. Before. My answer is yes."

"You want to take a walk?"

"What?"

She glares at him. He stares back blankly.

"I have made you many offers recently. Most that you have already turned down. So please be specific. I do not want to get confused."

She bites her full bottom lip and he's tempted to know how it would feel if he did that to her. Or her to him.

Lord, he needed to have more tea.

"Your less gracious than I had originally thought."

He shrugs, moving closer to her. Eyes never leaving that face that haunts him.

"I just prefer clarity. I want you to clearly tell me what you want."

She gets that same glint in her eyes that he's seen on a certain troublemaker before she steps closer with thunder in her eyes.

"You."

This time he stumbles back, his face feels like it's on fire.

"Was that clear enough for you Master Lee?"

He should be scared that the smirk on her face does nothing but make him want her even more, he desperately wants this whirlwind of a woman.

"I never meant for you to think that I was rejecting you. I just... spending time with you makes my master happy and I wanted him to be happy. Seeing you together makes me.... happier than I thought I could be. His father left when he was young and I've been all he's had but now he has you too."

His heart warms as he listens to her explanation, not at all surprised that she was motivated by her love for her young master. Any anger that lingered behind disappears as he stares at her in disbelief at the implications in her words.

Too heavy for him to conceive them now.

For once he's speechless and he can only nod his understanding.

"I'm free for a walk tomorrow." She says without preamble, reaching out and tenderly squeezing his hands dangling between them clasped together.

His skin feels too thin for his body.

With a serene smile, she bends to place something at his feet before she starts to walk away.

It's only have he escapes his daze that he realizes the myriad of food at his feet, all wrapped up neatly and prettily with silk and bows.

With a fond smile, he picks it all up making his way to the room that Kim Doju had set up for him. He needed to get some rest after all, he had very important plans tomorrow.

Kiss Cam (Lee Jeno x Reader)

Pairing: Lee Jeno (NCT) x gn!Reader

Genre: F1!au, Motorsport!au

Summary: During a red flag period an impromptu kiss cam has you and your teammate be the center of attention.

Word Count: 676

A/N: I'm kinda alive lol.

This is based on two different things, for one a picture of a Tweet that Admin A send me in which Jeno apparently said he'd be an F1 driver if he wasn't an Idol. But mostly inspired by the GT Masters qualifying this morning in which the commentators randomly started a Kiss Cam during red flags.

Anyway, Enjoy :) -Admin J

It was busy in the Neo Culture Racing Team Garage, a red flag had brought the drivers back into the pit lane while repairs were made on the circuit barriers. Many people worked on the neon green cars to make sure they were set up perfectly for the race restart.

Both drivers were doing their own things around the garage. You were talking with your race engineer, while Jeno was sitting in a chair in the back of the garage, snacking on a protein bar while observing the work that was done on his car.

His eyes drifted away from the car towards the other side of the garage until they ended up on you. The way your head fell back as you laughed at something that your race engineer pointed out on the monitor in front of you. Intrigued by your reaction Jeno walked over, holding onto the race overall that was hanging on his hips, to see what had you laughing like that.

Noticing Jeno looming behind you you turned to greet him with a smile "They started a kiss cam." You pointed at the screen where the official broadcast was playing and sure enough they were showing a random couple in the stands blushing, embarrassed by the eyes of all the fans on them. They tried to avoid the kiss but finally gave each other a quick peck when the whole crowd started chanting "Kiss".

Jeno listened to your giggles as red hearts started showing up on the screen after the couples kiss, he couldn't help but smile as well. It was clear this whole Kiss Cam thing was an impromptu action by the film crew to entertain the fans during the red flag period. And Jeno had to give it to them the Kiss Cam was really entertaining.

He took the spot next to you after your race engineer walked away to observe the work on your car. That's when a loud roar from the crowd took his attention. He wasn't aware what they found so exciting, but then he felt you gripping his arm. You pointed at the screen and he realized that the camera had moved away from the stands and was now showing you two standing together in the garage.

He gave the camera a short wave assuming the camera crew would move to the next garage afterwards, however the camera kept pointing at the both of you. "I think they want us to do the Kiss Cam." You whispered and almost simultaneously the crowd started to chant "Kiss".

Jeno turned to face you "Would that be okay with you?" Your eyes widened in surprise but you eventually decided it was only a kiss for the camera, so why not? "Sure lets give the fans what they want." You laughed.

Without waiting another second Jeno's lips found their way to yours. A short and light kiss before both of you pulled away blushing, the roar of the crowd almost deafening after what they had just witnessed. Finally the camera crew left the garage, but Jeno also hurried away without saying another word to you, leaving you a little flustered. Before starting to prepare for the upcoming race restart.

From his side of the Garage Jeno glanced over to you. He was happy to put his balaclava and helmet back on to hide his burning red cheeks. He hadn't really thought about what kissing you could make him feel after all you had known each other for years. From championship rivals in Formula 3, to becoming friends during Formula 2 to finally teammates in Formula 1.

All this time he had never seen you in a romantic light so why now could he not get rid of the butterflies in his stomach? Why did it feel like the red hearts from the kiss cam had burned themselves into his vision whenever he looked your way? God, he couldn't even concentrate on the race as all he could think about was how he wanted to feel your lips on his again.

2. So Mun (The Uncanny Counter)

I haven't finished Uncanny Counter yet but GOD he is everything. He loves his friends so much, he wears his emotions on his sleeve, he has such a strong sense of justice, i just love so much about him.

insp for basically all of my web weaving posts, this man made me understand the term poor little meow meow. His character development is one of my favorites that i've ever seen, and i genuinely envy his shamelessness. remember kids, even tough women cant resist clingy men!

4. Cho Sang-Gu (Move to Heaven)

idc if the term is out of fashion but he's truest embodiment of "cinnamon roll too good for this world, too pure." not that good at fighting but he respects women and u know his bills are paid. (Whoever is responsible for episode 34 i just want to talk. with my fists)

6. Pat Napat (Bad Buddy)

HELLO LOML the walking green flag himself!!!! Pat made me realize the type of person I want to be in my relationships (platonic or romantic) with other people. He is physically unable to resist showing affection to those he loves and its the most admirable trait ever. He is the blueprint.

7. Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad)

I watched brba before this last year but i rewatched it in 2021 and it made me fall in love with him again. he is also the definition of poor little meow meow. Someone give this man a break and a spa day PLEASE,

I started WWDITS with my parents and it was such a fun show to watch with them. all of the characters are amazing, but Nadja is a legend in her own right. the owner of the 6 total braincells in that house. she is everything a girl can dream of being <3

Scorpion king? no. king of my heart. can turn a look like his life depends on it. one glance will kill ur friends and family. has hot friends and the worst father figure on the planet, hes serving relatable content on the daily. I serve as president for both his protection squad and the zhao jing hate campaign (we meet on saturday evenings and braid each others hair. currently accepting applications!)

Clarity

Summary: Master Lee makes his intentions clear to a certain maidservant.

Author's note: This couple is so pure and unexpected but I'm fully on board and hopeful that they will be endgame. Maidservant Kim is so selfless and amazing she literally raised the child that she believes is the son of the man she loved and another woman. And she raised him so well and for that she deserves the world and not whatever BS Park Jin is serving. Enter the green flag himself: Master Chaste Tea ain't working Lee.

Also mini rant but I'll probably be taking a mental break from Tumblr because of the amount of shady posts on here. I feel like every other post is someone writing a think piece of why someone's else's opinion is wrong and why their opinion is the only valid one. It's so exhausting when I come here to chill and look at pretty gifs.

More flowers arrive although she has barely any space left to store them. Simple white buds wrapped with a single blush ribbon and instinctively she knows who they are from. They were hand picked and clearly hand wrapped as well not professionally sent like the rest.

Eventually the flowers from Park Jin wither away despite her frequent changing of the water, it's the flow of nature but the next day another modest bundle of flowers arrive and she can't control the thump in her chest and the smile on her lips.

She doesn't anticipate more because she's never been courted and it would be ridiculous for her to be this late in her life, she has Uk and those that she considers dear friends and that is enough.

Or so she convinced herself a long time ago when the man she loved gave his heart happily to another. There is no resentment or true jealousy because without that painful relation, her precious boy would have never been brought into this world. But she gave up on finding someone to love like that a long time ago, Uk was so young and she was all he had in this cold world.

"Ma'am, you have a guest."

She shakes her head, clearing her mind of unnecessary thoughts. Master Lee is being kind that was all, it was foolish to attach deeper meanings to his innocent actions.

"Let them in."

"Yes, ma'am."

She stands up smoothing her dress although there isn't a wrinkle in sight, a nervous habit that she isn't quite sure why it's presenting itself now.

She swallows the gasp she almost releases as the guest enters the room.

Speak of the devil.

Master Lee enters with all the grace and poise of a man of his standing, the bright fuchsia of the scarf she gifted him peeking from beneath his robes. She never expected him to take such a liking to it as to wear it habitually but it does warm her heart each time she sees him.

She bows modestly greeting him.

His smooth voice fills her ears immediately.

"Maidservant Kim, you look lovely. I apologize for not bringing any flowers today but your beauty would have far surpassed them so it was for the best it seems."'

She keeps her head lowered mostly due to her embarrassment, no one besides her Uk has ever commented on her looks in a complimentary fashion. She's more used to jokes about her looks and feigning indifference to the offhand comments that are made in pure jest but still scar her deeply.

"You're too kind.There's no need to flatter me."

There is pressure on her chin and then her head is lifted up and they are eye to eye.

She can almost feel the sincerity pouring off him as easily as the power he emits.

"I am not one for flattery. I wish I did not think such things in your presence it goes against my teaching and everything I know but I find myself powerless when you are near me."

She is without words. These words are for her and her alone, it doesn't feel real that a man would be brought to such emotion because of her.

"You shouldn't say such things, I might misunderstand your intentions." She offers him a final opportunity to undo what has been done.

"What is there to misunderstand? My actions have been clear, have they not? Is this not how men court women they are interested in still?"

Courting.

The very word she was avoiding because she did not want to misinterpret and make a spectacle of herself but now he has spoken it aloud and removed any stigma or obscurity.

"Courting?" She whispers in shock, blinking slowly before stepping back with a quick turn, hiding her face once more.

"Yes, if you would allow me I would be honored to court you."

Why? Why did he want to do such a thing? She was a mere maidservant and plain to look at, nothing in comparison to the awe inspiring beauty of the woman who had stolen her first's love heart and still had a hold on Park Jin's even deep from her grave.

"Here. This is for you."

The fragrance fills the room before she even turns around, jasmine and lavender swirling in harmonious waves.

"I gathered these for you as I was procuring the ingredients for my tea. I thought you might like to use them to make tea of your own."

Her heart aches from his thoughtful act, she has never requested anything from him but yet he continues to give her more than she deserves.

"I---thank you."

She responds with her back still turned to him despite knowing that she's being rude. She's too overwhelmed to face him, afraid that she'll become emotional in his presence.

"Maidservant Kim, I apologize if I've offended you. But I could not keep these feelings to myself, I've never yearned for another in my years of training not once, until I met you. If there is even a fraction of you that could come to accept me that would be enough for me."

She gulps at his words that sound so much like a confession, yet another thing she did not have to beg or demand from him it was freely given.

She wishes she were not conflicted and that her heart did not imagine another saying these very words. She had taken solace in her bond with Park Jin and when it grew into something worth she had desperately wished that he would court her, as he had Lady Dow-ha all those years ago but that had never came. He had made it abundantly clear that his role as leader of Songrim would always supercede any affection he held towards her. She had grown to believe that this was all she needed, it was better than nothing and more than she had been offered before.

But was it possible for her to have more? Or was she merely fooling herself?

"I am sorry. I cannot give you an answer now. I need time to think..... would that be acceptable?"

She hears a sigh of relief behind her and then a warm chuckle.

"I thought I would be outright rejected so this is far better than I had hoped."

"You believed I would reject you? Yet you still confessed and brought me gifts?"

There's a small pause before she gets a reply.

"Preservation seemed insignificant beside possibility."

Her heart flutters like a bird that has only just learned to take flight, careful and fragile indeed.

"I shall take my leave. I will await your response, if I do not hear from you within a week your silence shall speak for itself."

A week. To inspect her own feelings and make a great decision.

"Thank you."

"There is no need to thank me. I will take my leave."

She hears shuffling behind her and then the snap of the door closing.

Only then does she turn around and see the bundle of herbs he brought her, but something else catches her eye. She steps closer, reaching out one hand to pick it up.

A hairpin.

She had only mentioned to him in passing that she had seen a hairpin in the market that she had considered purchasing but decided against it, finding it unnecessary for a woman of her age who was far past courtship.

It's just as beautiful as it was that day with intricate weaving and a single jade stone offsetting the shimmering gold leaves.

With shaky hands she brings it to the hair and gently pushes in desperate to find a mirror and see her appearance.

"Ah. Now, I can leave."

She jolts at the voice stepping back at the sudden intrusion, she did not hear the door sliding open or his footsteps.

It was the plight of living with and around mages.

She has to stifle the urge to reprimand him for sneaking up on her.

It's only the look on his face that stops her, eyes filled with wonder and fascination as if he's looking at priceless treasures. She blushes under his watchful eye, butterflies running amok in her stomach.

Then as suddenly as he reappeared he leaves once more.

She lifts the bundle of fragrant herbs and brings them close to her chest, sniffing them to clear her racing mind and jumbled emotions.

She does not visit Park Jin that night feigning fatigue nervous that he will uncover her secret, she sips her jasmine tea alone in the still of the night.

She falls asleep with thoughts of another on her mind.

Worldbuilding to show who runs the Gotham Underworld)

Summary: Moving overseas for a once in a lifetime job offer was one of the scariest things Y/N ever did. That was until she got stuck in a twisted investigation of random murders, all with one link but no leads. Closing in on the culprit(s) Y/N doesn’t realize the danger she’s getting into. With no family or friends, can Y/N dare to trust those seven closest to her with her life?

Chapter 6

you did what you had to do to keep your parents safe.  

“I do believe you owe us an explanation Y/N,” Jimin said as all seven boys stared at the phone. You knew there was no point in lying to them, besides its not like there’s anything they can do.

“I- You might want to sit down for this,” You said as you lowered your gaze o your hands.

Taehyung, Jimin, Jungkook, and Jin all took their previous seats as Namjoon, Hoseok and Yoongi all turned to you. You took a deep breath in an effort to try and calm your nerves. Slowly lifting your gaze to stare at something other than the seven pairs of eyes that were currently focussed on you.

“I was eighteen years old when I met a boy with the name Norman. He was part of my second year Genetics class. He was really nice to me and he had everything a girl wants. You know, a kind smile, bright eyes, and a very safe atmosphere. For some or other reason he took a liking to me and that made me blind to what he really was.

We started dating around two months in and it was going great. We did everything together and that only made me fall even deeper in love with him. Norman even made an effort to get to know Lusai and soon Lusai became his little brother. Sometimes, Norman even canceled plans with me to hang around Lusai. But I never really cared because Lusai was my best friend and I trusted him.

See I was never the relationship type because boys just never saw me that way, so I didn’t know how things are supposed to go so I missed the red flag that went up every time Norman canceled on me to ‘be with Lusai’. It never even crossed my mind to ask him what they did or why he always chose Lusai over me.” You began as seven emotionless faces stared at you.

“Okay, I’m guessing this Norman guy has something to do with whatever the hell is going on here?” Yoongi said. Nodding you lifted your gaze to the ceiling as you try to recall as much detail as possible.

“So that’s how things went for three months more before he changed. He became even more distant. Instead of just canceling he just didn’t bother to even show up. I grew tired of his games, so I decided to go to Lusai to see what they were up to. I can tell you this, I was not prepared to walk into a scene straight out of a porno. There were drugs on the kitchen counter, some still on the scale, there were about seven naked people scattered across the house. And guess where I found Lusai and Norman… Both men were in the master bedroom still busy unloading into some unknown chicks’ mouth and other places, I’m not really sure exactly who was connected were, I left to fast.

Lusai was the one who followed me, but I was long gone when he exited the house. Norman even had the audacity to call me that evening. He said he would kill my parents if I were to go to the police. Of course, I didn’t listen and two days after I alerted authorities, my par-“You said as your lower lip started to tremble, but before you could end your sentence Taehyungs phone rang again.

“Fuck, I’m so sorry Y/N,” Taehyung said as he took out his phone.

“Kim?”

The entire room was a mix of emotions. No one really knew how to feel about what you were telling them. One thing was for certain, that phone call was the last thing anyone wanted.

The human body has a few steps in the decomposition process. Death itself is fairly unknown. In general, the human body starts decomposing +/- 4 minutes after death. 24-72 hours after death the internal organs will decompose. 3-5 days after death the body will begin to swell due to gas being released from the internal bacteria. Blood will also leak from the mouth and nose. 8-10 days after death the body turns from a green color to red as the blood decomposes.

In theory, death sounds like something anyone can handle, but what the books fail to mention is the other factors that accompany death itself. The smell for one is indescribable. Many have tried to describe it, saying it smells like a heap of dead rats or some rubbish mixed with feces, but these descriptions fail to prepare anyone for the real-life smell of death.

The best way to describe the smell would be to compare it with vomit mixed with sour milk that has a dash of feces for effect, that was left out in the sun in a sealed container for a month. In short, you and almost all the boys had to take a moment before you could enter the scene you were called to.

Besides the smell from hell and the condition the body was in, the scene was fairly clean. Well, as clean as a hotel basement can be. The grandest hotel in the city, besides the one where you were staying in, to be exact. The most important question would be, how could the victim not have been found for so long? Hell, he must have been down there for a good couple of days.

The victim's identity and cause of death couldn’t be determined from what was left of him. That the victim was male was the only clue you had to who this human was. After poor Seokjin and Namjoon left with the body to start the examination of the victim, the rest of you got to work.

For some or other odd reasons, the conversation Hoseok and Jungkook had kept replaying in the back of your head. What did they mean by Seokjin’s scene and Namjoon’s scene? They couldn’t possibly be referring to this, could they?

As these questions went through your mind Taehyung came up to you.

“Y/N, we’re leaving in 20 minutes. When we get back, I want to hear the rest of that story, we all do. We want to help you and your parents, but we need the whole truth. The case can wait, family’s more important.” He said as his concerned eyes made contact with your wide ones. Nodding you made quick work on packing all the evidence and securing the boxes.

This conversation isn’t going to end well if they are who you suspect they are.

Arriving back at the office, you all encountered a very pale Namjoon standing bend over the trash can with an even worse looking Seokjin coming from the bathroom. Being in the line of work they were, you were surprised, to say the least, that is until you look through the viewing glass into the autopsy room.

There on the table as expected was the newest victim to the case, cleaned and already cut open. But instead of decomposed organs, the victim's insides were filled with holes. The entire oesophagus and stomach had holes the size of golf balls in them. What made matters worse was the fact that the organs hadn’t decomposed normally like the rest of the organs. A crumbly white, waxy unknown substance was visible on the inside of the stomach.

“Are you guys okay?” Jungkook asked concerned.

“In all my years of doing autopsies, I have never encountered anything like this. We’re fine it’s just been a while since I’ve worked with someone so decomposed as this. Just, just give us another minute or two. Can one of you just make the AC colder to stop the decomposition? And up the vacuum for the smell? Please” Seokjin said as he took another look at the victim.

“What the actual fuck. This dude’s intestines look like cheese” Jimin said in disgust.

“So, I’m never eating cheese again. Thank you Jimin” You said turning around, making a b-line for the briefing room. The rest soon followed as a few more cheese comments were made, making your decision final to stay away from it for life.

“Okay, all cheesy business aside. What the hell happened to that man on your table?” Taehyung asked turning to Seokjin the moment he entered the room.

“Well, from what I know medically, those holes were probably made by some type of acid. But that’s as far as we got before we had to be excused. The smell is worse than I remember” Seokjin said as he and Namjoon took their designated seats.

“Okay, that doesn’t really help. Anyway Y/N, we need the rest of your story so we can solve one problem before we deal with the next.” Taehyung said as he sat down.

“Hang on. Why are you so anxious to hear the rest of my story? Besides I’ve got a few questions of my own for you.” You have no idea where this sudden burst of confidence came from or why you thought confronting them with your ridiculous imaginative story was a good idea, but the way the room suddenly went dead silent was a good indication that there would be no turning back now.

“Oh? Please do continue Y/N…” Namjoon’s cold voice came from across the room.

The coldness of his voice was the only warning you got to think before you continue, yet you decided to ignore it and continue with your own interrogation.

“Who killed Daniel?” You asked as you crossed your arms.

“What do you mean who killed Daniel? We’re still working on the case Y/N, we don’t know yet.” Yoongi said sitting forward in his seat.

“Who killed Daniel? Who killed Rachel? Mae-Mae? Yeri-lee? Linda? Mary-lee? And now the latest victim on that table? WHO KILLED WHO?” you ended up shouting.

Your little burst of courage did little to pull any reaction out of the boys. In fact, they just stared at you as if you were nothing but crazy.

“Y/N? Are you okay baby? You sound like you were accusing us of the murders we are trying to solve?” Jimin said smiling at you.

Shaking your head you refused to make eye contact with any of the boys. You know what your mind was telling you, even if your heart said the opposite. You KNOW the signs of a murderer.

“No, You guys have to be the killers. What else was Jungkook and Hoseok revering to when they said Namjoon’s scene was done before Jin’s scene?” you said as your voice became frantic. These words seem to catch their attention.

In one swift movement, your arms and legs are pinned down by two sets of arms as the rest of the boys surround you. Their eyes staring holes into your soul.

“Now, what evidence do you have exactly Y/N?” Hoseok asked as he took your chin in his hands, forcing you to look him straight in the eyes.

You see that was the problem. You have absolutely no idea where this sudden outburst of yours came from. You had no evidence, just suspicions and your gut was telling you, you were right. But without evidence, your case has no ground to stand on. So, instead of answering you decided to keep quiet.

“Y/N, don’t make me use my methods to get you to talk. I would hate for you to end up broken inside and out. Now, be a good girl and tell us what evidence you have to prove we committed these crimes” Hoseok continued as he tightened his hold on you.

“I- I don’t have any. I just know it was you!” You said as his grip tightened. You know for a fact that’s going to leave a bruise.

“Well, it seems like you have a problem then,” Seokjin said. All of the boys now having smirks on their faces as they gradually came closer to you.

“LET GO OF ME~ AAAaahh” Opening your eyes, five very concerned boys were staring at you.

No, you were not in the briefing room pinned to the chair. No, you weren’t being tortured by the boys. No, you weren’t even at the office, you were in one of the SUVs. The car wasn’t moving but it also wasn’t in the hotel garage or at the scene.

“You successfully scared the living shit out of us Y/N,” Jungkook said from his position next to you, still holding his chest.

“Okay, clearly she’s just as confused as we are based on the ‘what the fuck just happened’ expression on her face,” Jimin said, a smile taking over.

All of the boys let out a light chuckle as they finally observed your facial expression. You were pale to the bone, as you stared in confusion at the boys in front of you. Did, did you just have another elicit dream? Was none of that actually real? What?

“So, Y/N. Are you going to let us in on the dream you had? It sounded terrifying” Taehyung asked as he turned to face you. You could only stare, not even registering that he has even spoken to you. Your mind was running at a mile a minute to try and figure out what is real and what is not.

“Y/N? Hey, are you okay?” Hoseok asked, concern filling his voice. His hands reaching out to touch you, successfully making you flinch back and stare at him as if he just killed a baby puppy.

This was enough for Taehyung to give orders to Yoongi to get you home so they can have a look at you. He knew something was off and he was determined to know what. Pulling out his phone he quickly sends a message to Namjoon. If anyone would know what to do, it would be him.

Pulling up to the hotel, you made a b-line for the elevator. You felt unsafe, your body going into complete autopilot as you frantically pushed the button to the office floor.

The boys could only watch as the elevator doors closed behind you. Having no idea what to do they reluctantly took the next elevator and prepared for a battle they knew was due to happen.

In your haste to get away from danger, you failed to realize the extent of your little show. One, the boys were beyond concerned and would probably do anything to calm you down. Two, being alone with your own thoughts right now wasn’t the best of ideas. And three, what are you going to do once these doors open?

Your mind was a mess. You didn’t know what was real and what was not, and that alone was enough to heighten your anxiety. Everything became too much as the ‘dream’ kept playing on repeat in your mind. You backed away into the corner of the elevator. Hands shooting up to your hair as a fresh wave of tears made their way down your cheeks. Your breath was shallow, your hands were shaking. Slowly you slid down the wall and curled up into a protective ball on the floor.

There was an uncertain silence as the elevator made its way to the office. None of the boys knew what to make of what they had just witnessed. Hell, none of them even knew when you fell asleep. But that wasn’t the important part. The important part was what you had said while you were dreaming.

“Who killed Daniel? Who killed Rachel? Mae-Mae? Yeri-lee? Linda? Mary-lee? And now the latest victim on that table? WHO KILLED WHO?”

That sentence alone sounded like an accusation more than an analysis. Where you really accusing them of these murders? What evidence did you have against them? Did they slip up somewhere? If so, where?

“What just happened?” Hoseok asked. Panic evident in his voice.

“I have no idea, but it seems like our little Y/N has found something off about the cases and that must have led up to her conclusion that we are to blame. She’s not wrong, but how did she figure it out so fast?” Taehyung answered.

“We already know her secret past. So, we have ammunition if things go wrong. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We can use this to get her on our side. You all saw those photos of Norman’s body, she could be a great allay. Even Namjoon said so.” Yoongi said from his corner in the confined space.

That seemed to relax everyone. They knew Yoongi was right. He’s always been calm and collected one out of them all. Besides, it was thanks to him that they all knew your secret in the first place. Poor Lusai never knew what hit him when Yoongi made the call. After a few words were exchanged between Lusai and Hoseok he sang like a canary. Yes, there was the problem with your parents being held hostage and all, but Yoongi had already taken care of that the very same day Lusai called you. Not that you needed to know that, not yet anyway.

All they had to do now was to calm you down. Namjoon had already told Taehyung over the phone that he would take care of you. Besides, the mind was something Namjoon was an expert in using.
