Y/N: “Can a solar eclipse affect your magic?”

Wanda: “That’s something I’m still unsure of myself! Since the source of my magic is chaos itself, the confusion and disarray brought on by an eclipse has the potential to create an even greater well of energy. But, that makes magic cast under it more fragile.”

Y/N: “Oh, but then what about Agatha?”

Agatha: “My powers come from a book. Since I’m not an ancient, prophetic celestial being connected with creation itself, no, the eclipse does not affect my magic. It’s hard to mess with the logic of ~book~”

Y/N: “Untrue! You can’t read the book when it’s dark from an eclipse!”

Agatha, sarcastically: “Wow. You sure know how to make a girl feel like a powerful conduit of magic.”

Wanda: “…still bitter about the whole “trying to take my powers and then failing to ascend past your mortal form and magic?””

Agatha: “Grrrrr, no.”

Y/N: “Agatha, it’s not polite to lie.”

Agatha: “Considering the amount of impolite things I want to commit right now, lying is your best option.”

FOOL MASK (GITM BY @venomous-qwille)

Handbuilt porcelain with slip, overglaze, glaze, and gold lustre accents. Paint and lacquer detailing added post fire. Handsewn fool's cap and bells added post fire.

This mask is a part of a (loosely connected) mask series, all hand-built and fired using a range of different temperatures and techniques.

My favourite mask to date, Fool from Ghost in the Machine by the wonderful @venomous-qwille !! GITM is absolutely incredible and I cannot put into words eloquently how much I adore it and Fool so instead I made this mask! Hi!

My word was this mask a struggle to make. The mask itself is entirely one piece, and entirely porcelain!! That's right, those long thin rays are solid porcelain!! The eyes and tips of the blades are done in 22 carat gold lustre. All colouring save for the black and the satin sections of darker red on the face were done with only slips and underglazes. The red colour was correct without the paint, but I thought a contrast from the rest of the gloss would look nice :)

Made to scale, the mask measures 50.8x60.96cm without the hat, and 50.8x116.84cm with it! (20x24in without hat, 20x46in including hat). He is Large, but turned out absolutely lovely and I send my many many thanks to the kiln gods for producing him unscathed.

Ough, I loved the tension in this scene in the ice cave. I felt so bad for Eclipse, he was just trying his best.

What a finale, had me in tears several time... my heart is broken. lovely lovely epilogue!

thinking about how taylor has talked about light or the lack thereof in the past couple of years .. how it began as "something happened for the first time in the darkest little paradise, shaking, pacing, i just need you" -> "you should think about the consequence of you touching my hand in the darkened room" -> "i'd kiss you as the lights went out" -> "starry eyes sparking up my darkest nights" -> "we could follow the sparks" -> "the streetlights pointed in an arrowhead leading us home" -> "meet me in the afterglow" -> "this ultraviolet morning light below tells me this love is worth the fight" -> "i've been sleeping so long in a 20-year dark night, and now i see daylight". and then it turned into "my eclipsed sun, this has broken me down" -> "across our great divide there is a glorious sunrise" -> "i'm sitting on a bench in coney island wonder 'where did my baby go?' the fast times, the bright lights, the merry-go" -> "it gets colder and colder when the sun goes down" -> "remember looking at this room, we loved it cause of the light. now i just sit in the dark and wonder if it's time" -> "half moonshine, full eclipse". how initially he was a force that pulled her from the darkness and brought her light, the light was a safe place from them to stay. then it became something that he was taking from her, not letting her shine as brightly as she felt they once did. it was something that she could only reminisce on from the dark that she had been re-delivered to. and how the beginning of the resolution of the arc, which i'm sure will be discussed in much further detail in ttpd, can be found in bejeweled: "i miss sparkling" "i'm still bejeweled, when i walk in the room, i can still make the whole place shimmer" "what's a girl gonna do? a diamond's gotta shine"
