Thor was Odin's champion. Reframing Asgard's crimes as glory. Reframing Asgard's imperialism as necessary. Thor embodies Asgard's ideals and as its champion is walking propaganda.

f/os who are figures of authority who are meant to stay as neutral as possible but clearly have a soft spot for you. Bonus if you're coworkers or working toward some other common goal alongside them (DOUBLE bonus if you're enemies or rivals). They try to treat everyone fairly, or otherwise try to focus on the goals at hand, but clearly have a bias for you and seem to know more about you than anyone else. If they have the power to do so, maybe they try to learn everything about you with their connections (whether it be manpower or technology -- either way they are snooping). They don't want you to distract them or be in their way, but they also can't imagine relinquishing their clear admiration for you. (alternatively, if the f/o is a villain, imagine them vowing to destroy you for getting in their way but they ultimately fall in love with you and choose to spare you 😇)

the thing is that childhood doesn't just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it's going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it's going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you've suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself

I'm as grateful for cellphones as the next person, but sometimes I think about how everyone having a phone on them at all times really did cause us to loose some things as a society. I mean - for example, kids these days will never experience their car breaking down and needing to find the nearest place with a phone they can use. They're never going to have the opportunity to tentatively approach a house only to discover that it's full of queer people having a party hosted by a transvestite to celebrate his creation of a sex homunculus, stay the night, and loose their virginity while unintentionally partaking in cannibalism. It's tragic, that kind of gay sexual awakening just doesn't happen these days because of cellphones.
