Dam being a Jason Grace stan in the fandom is a fucking tragedy lol. Not only do we have to deal with him being screwed over by uncle Rick, but we have to deal with the fandom hating him aswell lol, i feel like Jason Grace slander wouldnt affect me half as much if his character had gotten a happy ending. I present to you: at no point in the game is Astarion actually ready for a romantic relationship

Tav is the first person he drank from

The first person he has consensual sex with after 200 years

And he says to them: no one is like you. You're YOU

He genuinely believes that Tav is the *only* person who would be this way, even if it isn't true. He does fall in love with you, he does want you, but I present to you the idea that if things hadn't gone down EXACTLY as they had, Astarion NEVER would have initiated a partnership/romantic relationship for YEARS after escaping Cazador for good.

The man is coded for survival, for self-preservation, and is inherently selfish by nature. It is only because Tav gives selflessly and determinedly reinforces wanting to be with him that he caves in and allows it, but if you try to leave he's thrilled. This is for the best he says, you don't deserve this facade from me he says.

"I don't know how to be with someone even if I want to. I want this to be real but I don't know what real is. I need to not have sex right now"

In act 2, if you break up with him, he agrees with you. He thinks it's the right thing for you because hes not ready. He won't say this unless you initiate a break up but how could he possibly let go of the best thing that's happened to him in his entire undead life? He wouldn't toss out the treasure of you even if he didn't feel ready.

It really does take a patient, calm, supportive Tav to get him in the end, and he DOES want you, I'm not arguing that

I'm arguing that that man is not ready for a committed relationship, doesn't know what a healthy relationship looks like, and in an ideal situation if he thought he had time and options in his life and if he felt safe he would have focused 100% on himself first for a VERY long time.

The tadpoles, the adventure, the pressures of the battles, the fighting the revenge the ascension and the ritual he has to fight or succumb to the fact that the sunlight is gonna nerf him again- all of this contributes to the perfect scene where Tav gets him right "out the gate", first by being a mark and a target and then by simply *not breaking it off with him*

And yes he's in love to the best of his ability to know what love is at this point

And yes he wants you very much

But the man is going through the biggest whiplash of his life and I can say with confidence that he's not... *Ready*. And after all is said and done, Tav will have to continue to be patient with many things with him. There are still a lot of hurdles. He may be with them for a long time before he wakes up one day and realizes, really really realizes, that he's ready.

The power dynamics are off, they're imbalanced. How could he say no to a perfect mark that gives him everything ? Blood, sex, waits when sex is off the table, never breaks up with him never leaves no matter how he rails against them? He can't. He won't, and he doesn't want to, but that doesnt make him emotionally ready for what a genuine relationship is.

He has to learn it, with you, over time, but I don't think he'd jump into learning that and going for it and seeing it as worth it if the situation were in any way different

Without the perfect storm of events, I don't see Astarion jumping into "commited relationship" to be clear, I'm not saying that he isn't capable of feelings or doesn't want tav it's just

It doesn't *seem* to match his character or his struggles to me. For a man that is completely self serving, he accidentally catches feels and then doesn't have the strength to cut you loose even though his act 2 confession is practically him asking you to leave him. If you take the Araj route in particular, he VERY plainly lays his shitty behaviour on the table as if daring you to punish him for it... Or maybe just expecting.

In his spontaneous scene it's softer, it's I love you but I don't know how to do this. And still if you say "I don't think you're ready to be in a relationship" he immediately agrees. In act 3, if you've stuck to him the whole time like glue, he never wants to let you go. Again, I think this level of connection is impossibly rare and everything had to happen as it did to get you there, but the power balance is off still. He says partner, equal, and he wants that. And he WILL get there

But he not only has to struggle with his past, his issues, his trauma, he has to struggle with the power imabalance that you're his Savior. YOU defeated Cazador. YOU protected him in camp and didn't stake him on sight. YOU fed him from thinking creatures for the first time. YOU are one of "a very few select people" who have had sex with him and not been slaughtered immediately afterwards.

You're everything to him

And by the end of the game you already see him trying to shift that power imabalance because HE SEES IT. If you say you'll protect him he WINCES and disagrees, he doesn't want that. He doesn't want to be below you, but he sees himself that way anyway. And to me, that's the sign that he wasn't ready, he still isn't ready,

But he will be, one day. And I think that makes it a better written romance than thousands I've read, because it's not perfect. There's grey areas. There's things that can make you uncomfortable. There's parts of it that aren't healthy and won't be for a while. Who knows how long until he feels like he's your equal? Until he feels like this relationship is something he ever would have chosen if things were different?

But he does choose you. He does. He wants you. He'd just never have gotten the chance to if it hadn't been "right place right time" imho

like okay. the entire pack and probably theo himself think that hes responsible for her death, but the pack hates him and doesnt trust him for valid reasons and theo is traumatized and holds guilt over her death so hes probably convinced himself that he did kill her. i just dont believe thats true.

in s5b when hes with stiles in the tunnels (i forgot why they're down there but whatever) and stiles tells him "oh yeah, the guy that killed his own sister when he was nine?" and theo argues back "yeah. i was nine. i had no idea what was going on." and that he also still believed santa exists so obviously he believed the dread doctors when they told him she wanted him to have his heart.

first of all: this is s5b. hes long dropped his act and he has no reason to lie in this moment. he knows that stiles wont fall for his lies and hes stopped lying and transitioned into threatening and intimidating anyway. theres no good reason for theo to lie to stiles here: theres no actual benefit that would come from that.

and his behavior points towards him telling the truth. instead of deflecting or making a joke, or any of the stuff he usually does to get his way, he starts explaining and defending himself. he seems almost agitated that stiles claims that he did kill tara and argues why he didnt.

and ofc stiles doesnt believe him and tells him "i think you pushed her. i think you liked it." which is, sorry, utter bullshit. i understand why stiles says this (yk. theo killed his bffie and all that) but i think stiles is purposely turning everything that he knows about theo into something evil. he doesnt want to believe that theo was a victim of his circumstances, because that would make him human, that would explain why he became the person that he is. its easier to fall back onto the "hes just purely evil" argument, because then he can hate theo for what he did.

stiles is smart. thats his whole thing. thats his whole thing with theo, that he was "smart enough not to trust him" as theo says to the sheriff in s6a. stiles knows that theo was a child, that its likely that theo got manipulated and groomed by the dread doctors. but, i think, he decides not to care about that, to ignore that. he hates theo and he wants to hate theo, but if he starts looking at the reasons for why he did what he did, he'll begin to understand him. and while he'll still never forgive theo, that will reduce this fury he has for him because, newsflash, theo was a CHILD.

people argue that tw doesnt show us enough of his back story to back this up and yeah, i kinda agree. we dont get enough of his story because teen wolf ALWAYS does this. with every character. they insinuate something, they start something interesting that could give their characters depth and then they abandon it and its like the characters just forget about it. all this show has is small details for fans to focus on if you want to analyze anything, because this show is objectively not good enough to actually do that.

+ theo is a side character. he wasnt even meant to stay as long as he did and cody did his best to work with the material. if your argument is that theres missing context and only vaguely shown stuff, im sorry but thats so stupid. thats not a good argument for in canon. "oh but we never see theo do this or that" HES A SIDE CHARACTER. he wasnt even supposed to come back! and tw is not a very good show! obviously they added more depth to his character in s6 because cody came back. like yeah theres stuff that doesnt make sense (like the show saying he didnt have a heart condition), because his back story got added as an afterthought in s6. you cant only look at s5 and judge his character based on that. his depth comes from s6 and its not the characters fault that the show has bad writing.

kaveh is too proud and refuses to simply give up on his bed to sleep on the divan so he stubbornly stays, which comes back at him to bite his ass when hes in bed and gets a faceful of haithams bare chest and when he turns to face the wall hes too aware of the scribes warm body against his back - its like his dreams came true a nightmare

still too proud to admit defeat and let haitham have his bed, kaveh continues sharing his bed even though he barely gets any sleep with haitham right there. he also starts actually crafting haithams furniture by himself, at first all annoyed with him and simply wanting to finish this as fast as he can no matter how ugly, so he can have his own room for himself again before smth stupid happens (like kaveh giving in and kissing him or confessing)

but as soon as he learns from first hand that haitham is quite the cuddler in his sleep (the first time a sleeping haithams arms wrapped around his waist to pull him into him got him so flustered he didnt sleep at all that night), them getting closer everytime theyre sleeping (the amount of times theyre spooning or lying on top of each other all cuddled up is increasing)............haitham growing more soft now that they spend their nights together, having more of kaveh................his work turns from simply trying to replace what he made disappear to more thoughtful, loving pieces

a bed that resembles haithams older one, but big enough for two people to comfortably sleep in there (not that he designed it with himself in mind, its just....well.....a big bed is always nice and haitham takes up quite a lot of place right? totally not designed for both of them) with curtains in this soothing teal shade he knows haitham is fond of and nice patterns to block out the sun falling through the stained windows if he wants to sleep in; a closet with pretty, geometrical carvings matching his bed that haitham probably doesnt even care about; a nightstand with even a holder for his headset to place on, etc etc

its haithams bedroom but with small changes and improvements regarding design and comfort that kaveh did just for haitham. and he notices. of course he does

however, they got so used and comfortable to this whole (awkward at first) sleeping situation (bc it wasnt just kaveh loving to fall asleep in a sleeping, cuddly haithams arms, it was also haitham loving to wake up to the sight of a sleeping kaveh too) that every now and then kaveh slips into haithams (way too comfortable) bed ("well, i designed it so technically its also my bed") and even though its way bigger than kavehs bed, they somehow still seek each other out and find their way to cuddle up to each other

it doesnt take long until its not just their bodies seeking each other out but also their lips

not longer until the first utters a confession against the others skin, asking him to stay as their fingers intertwine and more kisses are exchanged

and not even longer for them to turn haithams bedroom, all designed and crafted by kaveh with love and care, into their bedroom

Okay so i know this is your askbox and everything but I want to say that i feel like the bosses would start to hate pizzahead after peppino tells them what he was planning on doing, because as far as I know they were simply hired to guard the keys and look out for peppino.

I have some very minor tweaks to this but for the most part i agree!

-Pepperman, the eccentric man that he is gets shown 1 (one) image of a fucked up drawing of peppino and hes like ‘yes yes fat little human man, got it.’ And continues sculpting as if he hadnt heard pizzahead at all. Hes the MOST startled when peppino enters his arena bc he literally forgot he had to fight him 😭 hes like WHO is this little sweaty human in my fucking ART STUDIO????!! and then immediately gets stomped.

He is definitely indifferent to pizzahead; he didnt really care about this weird man and even postgame hes like well. This sly dog led me straight to my muse so I cannot be too angry with him 🤔

-Vigilante is like ‘hmm. Never seen this man round these parts; whatd he do?’ And pizzahead is like if you need a reason; its no longer just a simple request; its a bounty. And Vigilante it like ‘well... A bountys a bounty; if he wanders into my town he aint comin back out’ and pizzahead is like great! Fantastic! Im holding you up to that 🧡

Vigilante is probably the one most angry about pizzahead. Hes not exactly lawful good but he does Not like being used as Hired Muscle. He hunts down Bad People; not a human some weirdo has a personal vendetta against. He doesnt know exactly WHAT that vendetta is but its not worth his time and its not worth getting his cheesy ass handed to by Peppino again 😭

-The Noise craves violence and destruction. Hes a little menace! He also likes money. LOTS of money. And lucky for him, Pizzahead had seemingly Infinite Funds. Funds that he used to hire the Noise; to utilize this brats WEALTH of questionable tools and contraptions in case Peppino climbed his way through the tower. The noise was like ‘ur hosting this shitshow on TV? give me a 40/60 split from whatever ur filming and you have a deal’ and he does NOT find it troubling at all that Pizzahead is so eager to accept this.

He never figures out that the recorded content was never actually hosted anywhere. He eventually tries searching it up, asking his agents to look up anything recent with his face in it but they all come up emptyhanded. When asked about a name or title or scheduled tv slot and publishing, hes a bit sheepish to admit he never asked. Thats not his job! Thats his agents job! Hes so weirded out though; Pizzahead gave him a Ton of money. Obviously not alot by the Noise’s standards but more than what most people could even remotely afford. Weird. Well he got money and Peppino doesnt try to kill him unless he ignores the restraining order placed on him so its okay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rexsoka. Yeah, it's my ship. Still.

I mainly just lurk here, reading fanfic and enjoying the memes. But the angst of the last few has given me the courage to dive in and say a few words.

First, let me clear the air: Rebels was when I started shipping Rexsoka. Prior to their reunion on that show, it had never ever occurred to me to ship them. Despite having read the novels.

So, yeah, look, I totally get the opposition to shipping early Clone Wars Rex and Ahsoka. She's a child. He's a child too, arguably, although his accelerated maturation makes everything super messy. The military structure and fact that Rex is basically a slave means its got power issues galore. Then for those in the US, there is the whole 18 year old age of consent thing (noting, for good or ill, it's 16 most other places). I get why this squicks people. It's the SanSan of Star Wars.

But people grow up. Even on TV.

Season 7 Ahsoka is 17 going on 18, and effectively an adult. She's commanded armies, and just spent a year living and working independently. She is also obviously mature and, frankly, animated that way. Rex is a long term friend, they love and care for each other, and by the end of the season, she basically risks everything for him, and he for her. The episodes are also written in a very obviously shippy way, with the gazing, the chats, the meaningful converstions, the hand holding and the tears. Not to mention that sad, moonlit reunion in Tales of the Jedi.

And although I dont think it matters much, by this time, even taking Rex at double chronological age, the gap is pretty mild by fantasy standards. 17-18 and about 26, roughly the same as Buffy and age-corrected Angel, and way less than Han and Leia.

Fast forward to Rebels, and we have two mature adults with a shared history and goals, who love, trust and admire each other, share common interests, and are amongst the most important people in each other's lives. It's a believable and natural thing for that to progress to something more. The challenges to their relationship are things like, for Ahsoka, the lingering memory of the Jedi code and Anakin and Padme's destructive passion, and Rex's rapid aging, status and limited life experiences. It is those kinds of emotional and external barriers and their shared trauma that make the romance so interesting.

Season 7 + and Rebels Rexsoka is classic friends to lovers, and one of the nicest, softest and most realistic relationships in Star Wars. The opposition to it, and moraliatic shaming of those who like is, is something I simply don't get. It's bizarre. There are heaps of ships that are far, far more problematic (including Anakin/Padme) that don't get this hate.

Like, anti dudes, what exactly *is* the problem here? I suspect the it's that some people just want to get their hate on.

The recent flashbacks? Yeah, that one on Mandalore complicates thing, but I doubt they had stomping on shippers in mind when they cast Ariana, as I have seen suggested elsewhere. The more likely scenario is that - at about 14 yo when this was filmed - Ariana was totally perfect for the first flashback, and is perfect for playing young Ahsoka going forward. Even setting aside that she is an amazing actress, she's insanely athletic and can duel weild light sabres while knee walking though a twist. She's also already tied to Disney. She wasn't quite right for the part, and, I agree, that does make watching it in light of the fanfic a bit uncomfortable. But, it's not just a shipper issue. Putting an Ahsoka that looks and sounds like that in the episodes with the Martez sisters and Bo Katan is weird af too, and doesn't work. I doubt it is meant to.

Story-wise, the best and only real take is that the flashbacks aren't live action replays. The Mandalore scene doesnt even chronologically match what happened (Ahsoka is so fighting Saxon in that scene, which never happened). They are visions about Ahsoka and Anakin and their relationship, not live action replays. Both remember her as a child caught up in a war. Smoke, the fog of war, flashing lights and dying, faceless clones.

And Anakin and Rex.

What I take from these is that in Ahsoka's mind, and Anakin's too for that matter, Rex is always there for her. Standing in the chaos, calm and confident in himself and in her, and looking badass as heck. With an older Ahsoka it would have absolutely been smoking scene from her pov, and no way was it written otherwise. As an older Ahsoka remembering, it's hot. As younger Ahsoka, he's there as her protector and friend.

Do I do ever think this ship will play out on screen? Not, no explicitly. And, yeah, it probably is harder now because of that vision (although if they ever do film a younger Ahsoka series, they will undoubtedly be casting a young actor for Rex, and Ariana will, by then, be 18). But I don't think that was intentional, and I don't think that much has changed. It was always intended to be an "open for interpretation" relationship, written with the possibility not excluded. And I am good with that. Perhaps I even prefer it. Star Wars has a truly dreadful record with romance and, besides, too often cementing subtle or ust-based ships kill them. I just hope this hasn't, because it's still my ship and I love it.

doesnt care much for music but hes not going to deny your talent... and his lack of interest makes you feel secure with having your music sheets out

really the only thing you need to worry about is him getting black stains on the paper from the tar dripping from his eyes

tends to the bleeding wound on your chest, he doesnt ask the specifics or why it keeps bleeding but he can tell you didnt get the wound from fighting or defending yourself

you dont talk much, and neither does he.. you watch him work on removing bloodstains from his clothing and he listens to you play your music

not at all phased by the massive scar on your face or the metal replacing your teeth, if anything hes vaguely curious on whats happened there... but he feels with his own body being shifted from human to something else, he feels he would have to talk about his own issues if he asked about yours

youre both artists, just working in different mediums. so he can understand your passion for music and he is more than angry on your behalf when he finds out your music has been stolen from you

you both dont peek into each others works- you dont look in his sketchbooks and he leaves your sheets alone.. the only time you look at them together is when you both agree to it

To go back on the topic of NFCV redesigns, I think one of the worst issues (aside from the general artstyle that is deep in the uncanny valley) is that the designers took elements of the og designs but without understanding what they mean

N!Trevor has the iconic scar over the eye. Why? He got into scruffles with normal ass humans. That is supposed to mark him as the first Belmont who killed Dracula. N!Sypha and N!Alucard got scarred by N!Dracula, but him? nah it's not like he matters am i right?

N!Alucard is in theory pretty, statuesque and elegant, but his clothes simply look like a cheap cosplay, and no prince would go around with his cleveage exposed like that. Also, in his SotN bio, Alucard is stated to look lithe but being stronger than he looks, while N!Alucard has a lithe frame combined with evident muscles.

N!Hector looks actually very good in terms of design simplification (except for the stupid ass bobcut they gave him), but in-universe he sticks out like a sore thumb for his extravagant outfit that doesn't even fit what he does. Why does Hector wear one glove and an arm guard? Because he's a sword fighter. Is N!Hector a sword fighter? Not even in the slightest, he's a blacksmith.

N!Isaac's uniform is taken straight out of PtR, but apparently the designers didn't know that Hector wore the same uniform in that manga, so now the two Forgemasters look mismatched for no reason (not helped by the different crests they have on their backs - why???). Also, N!Isaac has tattoos like Isaac, but... they don't really convey anything about him, and they're too generic to be as memorable as Isaac's intricate runes. They're just there.

(and while she's so different I don't even want to consider her a game character, N!Carmilla looks very generic in her #girlbossness, and she should have had a more prominent mask or skull motif, not just a "pointy chin" like the wiki says)

The others are pretty much decent, although I'll always have reservations about N!Dracula's weird elongated yet too short proportions. But yeah. There is a distinct lack of care in the redesigns, even those who in a vacuum look good.

don't have much to add but all correct all factual here 👍 i agree very much. its also crazy how they decided to transplant trevors chest scar onto alucard for... some reason, and then had to give alucard fashion that doesnt suit his character at all, also for... some reason (we know why. its fanservice that doesnt even work because he is not nice to look at in the first place). the forgemaster uniforms always get me as well... ughhhh its all so baaaaad. also call me a hater but i never liked the dracula design he looks so off to me!! you either go full in on the hot old man or you go full in on the mathias, the in-between never works well (even kojima couldnt pull it off perfectly, and she didnt do it often besides)

they have the potential to be so cute and wholesome, but it's me - i can't have my ships nice and fluffy. healthy relationships are for the real world, everything needs to be fucked up in fiction !!

my headcanon is that charlie always had a special relationship with her dad. a better one with mom, but her times spent with lucifer even though rare were closer. but its normal, she's his only daughter and it's just normal parental love!! he didn't dare try anything when she was little, hes not that horrible (he totally is but he cant show that part of himself to charlie). it was a loooong investment to slightly push those boundaries more and more, but he has all the time in the world to do so.

so, when charlie is all grown and lucifer visits the hotel for the first time, they greet eachother and start making out. everyone freaks out because holy shit why didn't she ever mention theyre like that??? why are they like that???

she never mentioned it cuz its normal for her. she never knew another father-daughter relationship, it's nothing out of ordinary for them to cuddle, kiss and get a little touchy. and lucifer couldn't give two shits about what some lowly sinners think of that when he can destroy them with a snap of his fingers.

they were never human, so human taboos don't apply to them. or maybe they apply to hellborns too, but as i said - lucifer simply doesnt give a fuck lol. he's the devil. from the bible. let him be a little awful...

ALTERNATIVELY, they had a normal regular not weird relationship. and when charlie reunites with her dad, he's acting just a bit weird. okay, maybe he just doesn't know how to act after such long separation, maybe he's nervous about others, maybe he's just not used to his little girl being grown up.

or maybe that's what bugs him. she's so different now, responsible, so mature and oh lord why is she kinda hot?!?!? she can't be hot, she's my daughter!! but all denial went out when he saw her kicking ass in the final battle, full demon form.

he gets even weirder, there's so much emphasis on my charlie, my daughter, my little girl, and yeah okay he missed her for sure but isn't that a bit over the top??

he's surely just overprotective as always, angry at anyone who touches charlie, anyone who spends time with her alone, and he always growled at alastor when he was too friendly with her. so its not weird. charlie just has to accept him as he is, she could've just misremembered how he was before.

(small intermission: radioapple enemies to continued enemies but they're now both fucking charlie so they have one thing to agree on. they make a competition out of this too tho.

and about charlie x vaggie x lucifer - i thought of that too and it's fun, but i just can't bring myself to really get into anything chaggie. don't get me wrong, they're cute, but that's their only thing. vaggie's personality doesn't (yet? i hope) exist besides charlie, she's just her girlfriend (that happened to be an exorcist but that's it. not much else). chaggie and vaggie's character in general had so much potential, but imo they ruined it by automatically making them girlfriends. both songs that vaggie sings revolve around charlie, it's always vaggie AND charlie!! (barbie and ken kinda situation, they ken-ned vaggie 😭) give my girl some personality, damn it. and what draws me to a ship is all the intricacies that make the relationship interesting, i sadly can't see that in them :/

(but consider this: charlie and lucifer's "more than anything" love song, and vaggie having to sing a reprise later to say "hello??? im also your partner, remember??? i love you more than anything too???" LMAO)

Both of these scenarios are so fucked up and yummy! I really like the guilt aspects that can be played with in this ship. The denial <3 "Oh, im just being... overprotective! Its nothing weird! It cant be weird! Im her father!"

Plus, Charlie gaslighting herself into thinking its okay and healthy is sooo good😋 of course, with them being in Hell, they dont have a moral system like us humans do, so it makes sense they wouldnt really care. But, I like the concept of Charlie and Lucifer both intuitively knowing what theyre doing is wrong (maybe influenced from Lucifers time in heaven, considering he is a fallen angel). They both have sex, and Charlie is overwhelmed with feelings of guilt, but she cant stop. It feels too good, and she loves that shes finally getting one on one time with her daddy. She feels so loved and safe.

Lucifer feels bad, because he knows he groomed his daughter into this situation, but he just cant help himself. Shes so pretty, prettier than Lilith could have ever been. (haha I like the idea of him secretly lusting for Charlie over Lilith, I read a fanfic about it and it drove me wild.) Shes his daughter, he created her, technically owns her, in a sense. He can do what he wants to her. Thats how he justifies it.

Matter of fact, I've read multiple Morningstarcest fics. When I first joined the fandom, I was uninterested in the ship, but then I got an urge to just... look at the tag on ao3. Give it a shot. I was sold 🤭

Oh, and I TOTALLY agree with you on Vaggie. "They ken-ned Vaggie" is SO TRUE i never even thought of it in that way but thats such an accurate way to put it! She really needs to go off and have her own adventures/goals/whatever, separate from Charlie and the hotel. Some sort of type B plot.

but! my mother ordered me a shein haul (which i manifested 🤭, success story post coming soon!) my gma took me on a shopping spree and bought me some clothes toooo, im getting a room makeover from my mommy, dad is giving me some money, my best friend did my hair for free (i did hers too!), I got a check for $100 for a program i did durring the school year (no warning or anything! didnt even know they gave out checks for the program! success story coming soon on that too + a method!) Im getting my hair done tommorow, nails done this week, and im going out for half of the week for my best friends birthday. my skin has also been clearing up after suffering a baddd breakout with really painful bumps!

subliminals, writing out my affirmations and desires and then simply LEAVING THEM ALONE. i wrote down all of my desires & i affirmed for three days straight, “i have all of my desires, my life is exactly like my script.” and then, i stopped thinking about it. I just listened to subliminals in my sleep, i started the playlist with an asmr video to put me to sleep, then have my subliminals lined up in order of most important to me to least important. then i just…went to sleep 🤷🏾‍♀️.

i think what others do is hyperfocus on their manifestations, desires, and affirmations too much when that isnt the method that serves and fulfills them. sometimes you just have to make clear what your desires are and that you have them, and then simlpy let them clear from your mind and let your subconscious handle it from there. All ive been doing for the past few days is writing down my desires or what i want to happen, leaving it alone and letting it fade from my mind, and boom, instantly, they just happen!!

so, like 5 months ago i had mapped out the “perfect guy for me.” Tall, dreadhead, sweetheart, treats me right, etc etc. the list was titled something like “my ideal boy” and it had EVERY SINGLE trait i wanted in a guy. now, for the last two months i was focusing on my old sp (we’ll call him “jake”) he’s toxic, doesnt talk to me unless i talk to him, doesnt be on the phone with me unless i call him, and said he “doesnt want me around.” so after i did all that hyperfocusing on trying to change him, i gave up, i didnt truly believe that he would change. and i didnt feel like he was worth even manifesting anymore.

so i texted my sister (not by blood) about it, telling her that i was officially #cooloffjake and that i was tired of the way he was treating me, that he didnt care about me, and that i was done with him. that SAME DAY, i was on ft with my sister when all of a sudden she asks if she can put me on with her brother (not by blood) so i talk with her more and more about him, and she added him to the call so she could better explain the situation im in.

as of right not, i, not allowed to date until im 16, he knows that and has agreed that he would 100% stay loyal to me even though we arent together right now! he understands my predicament completely and said has no problem waiting till i turn 16 to be in a real relationship with me 🤭. hes so sweet, he texts me all the time and calls me cute nicknames, and hes a total loverboy. he just makes me so happy 🤗.

whats funny is that i wrote that list and forgot about it after a week! i dont even know where it IS anymore. but this just goes to show that when you let go of things that do not serve you, the universe will send you something (or rather someone) who does 💞.

i dont think remus is a coward, i think he had trouble confronting his fatal flaw (he has lived a life where he's hated at every turn, which leads to a self-hatred that runs so deep it convinces him not only that he has to compromise himself and his morals to keep the people who like him around him, but also to him genuinely believing that leaving tonks and his unborn son is legitemately the best, kindest thing to do, because otherwise he'll wreck them that much more just by existing), which is incredibly human. his bravery shows in every other aspect of his life, not least of all the fact that he chose to fight, actively and several times, for a world that hates him. he lost everything in the first war, his life only got worse, and he doesnt think twice about fighting again in the second one and in the final battle simply because it's the right thing to do and he wants the world to be a better place. that's not only brave, but as you point out, highlights the tragedy of his life and who he chose to be despite it. (and the blind devotion is a dumb thing to pin on remus when literally the entire wizarding world is "blindly" devoted to dumbledore. even voldemort thinks of dumbles as the paragon of good. it's not a "remus flaw", it's a deliberate thematic statement from the HP books bc the point of the seventh book isnt that they were wrong to trust dumbles, it's that everyone's deeply flawed, even, or especially so, our heroes, and that's ok and human and realizing it and dealing with it is a part of growing up and maturing)

Remus is my second fav harry potter character, first before i truly discovered my love for Ron. I 100% agree with everything you said, and tbh i do not truly think of Remus as a coward, that just seems to be the general consensus when people talk about Remus and his flaws, so i guess i kinda just ran with and what people are saying, (and to some degree, i do kinda agree with what they say. Kinda)

I will however, say that this cowardliness that people pin on Remus is often to hold him in a negative light, and I often find it occurring when people slight him for not being there for Harry more (which is a whole different matter entirely, that i think i have a somewhat controversial opinion on).

Anyway, the way Remus continues with him life after all that has happened to him and still has the ability to be kind and good, is one of the reasons i actually adore that man, and i do not think the 'cowardliness' takes away from the goodness within him at all. I completely agree and understand why he is the way he is, of course he is going to run when he is scared, because let's be honest who is he gonna turn too? He has spent the entirety of his life afraid, persecuted and grief stricken.

I pointed out the devotion to Dumbledore because it kind of differs from the rest of the wizarding worlds sentiments. Remus did not think he would get to Hogwarts, get that education and meet amazing friends who did not care for what he was, and Dumbledore gave him that, Dumbledore offered him a job, and have him opportunities that were otherwise unavailable to him. I only point it out because as one of his flaws, it leaves him blind. Not only to Dumbledore, but to his friends also. He did not want to go against them in fear they would not be his friend anymore. It is difficult to go against your friends, and even more so for Remus.

I also do not have the opinion that Dumbledore is this evil manipulator, and this 'blind' devotion to him is necessarily a bad thing, it just has the potential to be.

I also don't necessarily believe Remus is a coward, sometimes that just feels like the 'best' word to describe it. When he ran away from Tonk's, that was a moment of weakness, and it would be 'silly' to shame a man at one of his worst moments. What does speak volumes more to Remus and his character, is that he went back. He realised his error and fixed it immediately, and i think that says more to who he is.

Please Lil girl Maxy with Susie and Toto 🥺. Like okay hear me out, baby Maxy was abandoned by Jos because of course no women can be good at motorsports 🙄, so he drops the Lil kid in a shelter, turns out baby Maxy was having none of it and she tries to come back home by herself. She then get caught by someone and she is so afraid she starts fighting.

Toto was just walking back home when he see the little girl being held down by an adult. So he jump in and get Max out of danger. He tries to talk with her, to bring her back to her family but Max is so afraid she just cries and clutch into Toto.

So Toto is like, okay I'll bring you home for now before we'll see what to do. Once Susie see little Maxy she goes full protective mode and she won't let Max be alone again. Sheltering the baby girl and just being so sweet with her.

Max is amazed by Susie especially when she sees Susie' racing helmet and she ask if she can go kart.

Years later and Max makes her debut in F1 with Torro Rosso. She hides the fact that she is a Verstappen, and calls herself just Max for now. She didn't want to get Toto's surname just to avoid all the talk about her having it easy. And she did consider taking Susie's name before going against it. She wants to be seen for who she is and not for her name.

So she does amazing and soon enough she's getting promoted to Red bull, before Jos hears of it and tries to come back into her life. Max is conflicted about it, and Susie and Christian are having none of it. Christian because Max is incredibly talented and he will do anything to protect her well being for only the sake of her being good on track and for the team. Susie because Maxy is her little girl now and she won't let anyone hurt her. Thus why Toto and Christian will do anything to block Jos from approaching Max.

When Max wins her first championship thought, Jos persuade her to let him come back to her life. And even if she is still conflicted about it she just wants to have her father's love and pride. So she did give in. Toto isn't in a right place to prevent it, Susie tries to talk with Max, but Max feels like she should forgive her father. Christian is busy battling with Toto over the championship.

The only person that understand Max, is surprisingly Lewis. Like maybe his relationship with his father is better now, but Anthony wasn't that different from Jos, when Lewis was younger. So he did hear about the whole situation and talk it out with Max. She is so grateful for him to just listen. Lewis do not try to change her decision, but just listen to her and share his own experience.

When 2022 comes and they see each other again Toto finally takes the time to listen to Max and try to understand her. In the end if he doesn't agree with having Jos around, he still says he is here for Max and that won't change.

pllsss little 6 year old Maxy just being desserted by Jos and she is confused and doesnt like the home and tries to run away, tries to find her family back! But someone tries to hurt her and she is so scared, but Toto sees what happens and saves her. He tries to figure out where she is from or where her parents are, but the little one is just clinging onto him with all her might and sobbing her little heart out and Toto decides to bring her home with him for now before figuring out what to do.

Susie is a little confused when Toto comes home with a little blonde girl padding over him and holding his hand, but ofc she is instantly in love with Maxy and makes her a snack and something to drink while Toto calls the police.

They get custody over her cos Max simply refuses to go anywhere and clings onto Susie when the police officers come to talk to her. I think she would be close to Toto but she is a momma's girl lol! Susie and her just understand each other so well and love each other, and ofc Maxy loves her dad too but they clash a little more often, especially when she becomes a teenager and she is racing more.

Max making it to F1 and simply going by Max, no surname or a fake one and she hides her birthname and who took her in, until she feels like she proved herself, than she will happily let people know Susie and Toto raised her! But then Jos suddenly wants to be back in her life and Max is so torn. Toto is very against it, Jos doesnt deserve to be in Max's life after deserting her but Max is hopeful that Jos changed and maybe he can be in her life again. Susie talks to her about it and Max isnt ready then to have Jos back in her life, but then she wins her first championship and he asks to meet, to celebrate with her and she agrees, just wants to feel loved!

Things are a bit tense with Toto then, the tension of being in different teams and both being hotheads means they had quite a few arguments and Toto is teriffied when Max tells them she is meeting up with Jos because he feels like he is losing his little girl. And Max is more inclined to meet up with Jos because her and Toto are struggling a bit to figure out how to balance it all?

Max quickly realising Jos isnt there to apologise or love her, he doesnt care for anything but for his name to be attached to her succes and Max is very upset. Maxy ofc goes to Susie and Toto, crying and confused and hugging Susie who tries to soothe her. Toto being unsure if Max wants his comfort because he is frankly just overthinking it all, but then his sweet, brave lion girl launches herself at him and apologises for all the nasty words they exchanged over time, that he is her dad and she doesnt want to lose him ever! And pls Toto apologises too ofc and holds her close, whispering he is so proud of her and he would never let her down again!

Max posting photos to thank everyone, her team, her friends, Susie, who she was always more openly affectionate with (oh the rumours about Toto being a bad father bc Max mostly would be seen with Susie in the paddock, although that was simply because Max and Toto try to keep work and life seperate), and then finally she posts a photos of her fast asleep, sprawled over Toto's chest with her arms around her, one of when she was little and one of her now, with the description 'Thank you for everything dad, love you always even if we argue<3'

okay nobody asked but i have a lot of thoughts about the Winchester brother codependency. instead of flooding the poll with tags i decided to make my own post lol

at heart I am a sabriel enthusiast first and this whole thought started with my good friend @bakh-meliorism pointing out (very correctly) that Gabriel wouldn't tolerate the codependency when it meant that he would be second place to Dean, which I agree with completely. my interpretation applies to all Sam ships though, and Sam QPR's too, not just sabriel

i think out of the two Sam is the only one capable of ending the codependency and we see it in the show over and over. Dean NEEDS his little brother. Sam knows this, Dean knows this. everyone around them knows this. Sam is the only one that can show Dean that Sam doesnt need him like Dean needs Sam, but even as he tries over and over to do exactly that, even when Dean ACCEPTS that sam wouldnt trade his life for Dean's like Dean does for Sam's, it takes Dean dying for sam to have peace.

And fundamentally, I believe it's because Sam can't set healthy boundaries after he's soulless. he barely even tries, and even if it hurts him, he'll live Dean's life and disregard what he wants and let Dean be the boss because he knows that's what Dean needs him to do.

And honestly honestly you can see how Sam hates it at Deans side when things get bad. he's shoved into the same 'little brother' box he was in at 12, his words are disregarded, hes not seen as his own person while by Dean's side but he will stay anyways. he will stay not just because he loves Dean, but because time and time again when he leaves Dean chases him down and drags him back. Dean will never let him go, Dean will NEVER accept that he isn't the most important person in Sam's life. if he ever did he would take his gun and shoot Sam and then himself to make sure nobody could ever get between him and his little brother again.

and bringing this back to Sabriel, maybe Gabriel gives him an out, enough courage to put his foot down and say enough is enough. but i also think Sam wouldn't ever be able to do so on his own. he could never leave Dean without someone he loves giving him that ultimatum, because he knows Dean would simply never accept it.

anyways that's my interpretation of their codependency have fun with that
