My turn to be skk-posting

in my ideal vision, when they finally get in something resembling a relationship (as adults, they were Not There as teenagers), it's because they both want it, which means they unlock previously forbidden features with each other like sharing a bed instead of a couch (you all know about my weird obsession with skk and couches), but also freely touching.

Dazai is a rather tactile person; my guy is freed after 2 weeks in prison and the first thing he does is dance, poke at, lean/hug and play with the hair of the first non-evil person (a stranger) he meets. Being with Chuuya, he constantly finds himself in Chuuya's bubble, and indulges in ways he usually can't with others. That often means direct skin contact, not even with ulterior motives, but really just because he is allowed and he wants to.

Chuuya on the other hand has never done something gently ever: he is fierce, he cares and loves intensely, and he never lets go, but he barely knows the concept of a reassuring gesture (working on it). Dazai being in his bubble wouldn't bother him at all by that point, but the handsy part? it's awkward. needs some getting used to. It's a learning opportunity.

And when Chuuya gets used to it and finally makes a move to return the favour? it's Dazai who short-circuits.

We've seen DP and DC be different universes where Danny and Valerie are the only heroes in DP, but there are thousands of heroes in DC. We've seen where DP and DC are in the same universe, and Amity Park just thinks the Justice League are ignoring them.

But what if DP and DC are different universes, BUT Danny and Val aren't the only heroes?

If we treat superheroes as basically cops/military with superpowers, then we can infer what heroes would be like using cop/military statistics. You could even use My Hero Academia society as a basis. Things like "heroes are more interested in protecting private property than serving the public" and "Heroes have high levels of PTSD and physical disability and aren't helped after they retire" are common knowledge in Danny's universe.

And specifically, the one I wanted to make clear for this prompt: In Danny's universe, heroes are highly likely to abuse their family/sidekicks outside the mask.

Suddenly, Danny's in the DC universe. For a low-stakes reason; if he's there because the DP universe imploded or his parents tried to kill him, he'd be too concerned about himself to act on his instincts. No, Danny's there for a vacation and there are so many heroes and kid heroes that he feels sick.

Maybe he catches Batman being rough with his kids, or overhears Superman "belittling" Superboy (Conner). Nevertheless...

Danny ends up thinking that all the Justice League are abusing their sidekicks and families and becomes a villain to save them.

You know, we see a lot of Danny absolutely wrecking the Joker but what if he didn't? What if what happened with Freakshow still lingers? What if Danny post adoption is absolutely terrified of this clown and Joker seeing that this boy has a worse reaction to him compared to most people and eats it up?

I wanna see a Joker who makes it his life mission to traumatize the newest Wayne. A batfam who's terrified the Clown Prince of Crime will hurt yet another family member. A Danny who sees Joker and instantly thinks of what might happen if he loses control again. Of who he might hurt this time.

Not hating on the players but I cannot get behind Fjord as the Marquis of Nicodranas wishcasting floating around. This man has taken an oath to forever roam the seas! He is addicted to getting on boats and getting his shit rocked on boats, and sinking the boat but it’s okay because there’s always a new boat out there for him, the Wildmother’s special little boy. Politics would not allow him to pursue his passions (pushing big red arcane buttons and casting Underwater Breathing on his whole crew every twenty-four hours). He needs a larger enclosure, preferably with haunted shipwrecks and fucked up creatures to upset.

He is admittedly a very charming man who could and would depose the current Marquis of Nicodranas, I’m just not sure he’d keep the post for himself. Here’s a short list of other people he’d install into power and then backseat Marquis whenever he’s in town.

1. Vandran. Worried about your old Captain in his retirement? Make him a local political figure and stack his court with loyalists. He definitely won’t get bored and you don’t have to worry about tariff laws.

2. Marion Lavorre. Nicodranas loves her anyways, she’s one of the most diplomatic people out there, and it would be very funny if The Gentleman escaped the law by becoming the local authority’s boy toy.

3. Marius LePual. You know who can be peer-pressured into absolutely anything and loves fancy shirts? Marius isn’t going to get swayed by some chump from the Cerberus Assembly. He saw Fjord get stabbed by a fish man at midnight he knows what side his bread is buttered on.

4. Kingsley. There’s no rule that the Marquis of Nicodranas can’t also be the Plank King. This sets off three years of furious cold war and ultimately mends the rift with the Revelry.

5. Veth Brenatto. She receives: a big fancy house, power, unlimited hors d’oeuvres, something to do when camps aren’t running. He receives: insider political intelligence, another way to make fun of Veth, the best guest room guaranteed and sealed with a blood pact.

Dazai office shenanigans where he plays harmless pranks on his coworkers instead of doing work. Of course he subtly moves his paperwork to Atsushi’s side of the desk. He makes paper airplanes out of important documents. He changes the stamp pad colors on Kunikidas desk, and when that gets old he changes the stamp itself to something inappropriate. He spreads feathers around the office and convinces kenji and atsushi there is a pigeon living in the walls.
