Actually on that note, i can't rmbr the chapter rn- I'll go looking for it- but when WWX was chatting up the locals b4 entering yi city, Wangji is just off to the side, frowning, and rolling a rock under his shoe.

It's a v small detail but it's good to see how he deals with frustration in a non-destructive way.

......As opposed to JC , who snapped at his nephew after he was in a hostage situation, instead of comforting him like the other guardians.

These are clearly different situations, but even in less dire instances JC is a dick to this kid, and others as well.

Like he's been through a lot, he really has, but so has almost everyone he interacts with like.

There are no perfect characters in this novel, they're all multifaceted n dynamic. So it's easy to see how even WWX, LXC, NMJ, etc can be assholes at times, despite being characters that we root for. But there's definitely times to tone it down.

he’ll often come to your place when he needs patching up cause he knows uncle aaron will tear him up; not like you won’t either, tho

“come on, mamí, you know you love me.” he’d tell you and grab your waist, pulling you close and resting his thumb along your jaw.

“you got 2 seconds to let go of me before i give you smth else to patch up.”

his tricks never worked, and you scolded him the whole time you were helping him, and he pouted the whole time, too, whining and trying to get you to not be pissed with him.

“mamí~” he would sing song, giving you the most charming voice and smile he could muster. “sonríe para papi, por favor~? (smile for papí, please~?),” or “come on, mamí, don’t look at me like that,” etc. it would never work and would only piss you off more.

“shut up, boy. it’s already too late for this bull, don’t push it.”

then he’d start to get pissed that you were talking to him like that despite him trying— in his own way— to make it better. “ight, ma, you can drop the attitude. you know i gotta do what i gotta do.”

you would stop and raise an eyebrow. “i know you ain’t talkin’ to me,” you’d step back and cross your arms.

“ma, i’m bein’ fr. drop the attitude, i ain’t playin.”

“neither am i.” you’d shake your head and roll your eyes heavy at him. “you see this?,” you pointed to the bonnet on your head, “i was ready to slump— you interrupted that, but i let you cause i love you. but i will get back in that bed and let uncle aaron tear you up, but that’s up to you.”

boy he would get so pissed off when you had the upper hand on him. “ight girl, whatever, jus hurry up” he would huff and cross his arms and turn his head the other way.

he would continue to make smart comments but they didn’t phase you; you knew how he was, and right now he was just bein’ a big baby cause his girl had to put him in his place. ngl, you had to keep yourself from laughing cause it was funny to watch considering how hard he acts otherwise.

“‘mkay, you’re done.” you would stand back with your hands on your hips, sighing after your hard work. “you good, baby? or you gonna keep pouting?”

he would glare at you, angry pout still on his face; most would take that face as a warning sign, but you found it endearing. “ay, cariño.” you’d coo and plant kisses all over his face.

“aye! ma— stop! stop! you play too much!” he would protest, but you knew he liked it.

you would pull away and he’d have a playfully vengeful look on his face. “oh, so it’s like that, huh?” he’d ask, and you’d laugh at him with a grin.

next thing you know, he’s picked you up and throw you over his shoulder; you hit his legs and protest while laughing a little, but your hits do nothing against him.

he lays you down— gently— on the bed and towers over you. “my turn, mama.” he would smirk, and he’d kiss you on the lips, long, soft, and slow. it was his way to show how much he appreciated you, even if he struggled to say it out loud sometimes.

this boy would look so guilty as he stood in the middle of your room, suit ripped in different places and bleeding and bruised skin in others.

“miles!” you would fuss, “we’ve talked about this.” you spoke calmly but your tone showed the upset you felt for him. the sight of him hurt would wound you in its own manner.

he rubbed the back of his neck and avoided your gaze. “i know…things just got out of hand tonight…i’m sorry.” he’d look at you with those big brown eyes, genuine guilt swirling throughout them, and your heart would completely melt as it always would. poor boy was doing his best.

you would sigh and kiss his forehead. “its alright, mijo. let’s get you cleaned up, alright?”

you would take him to your bathroom and the two of you would sit on the floor. you’d address his wounds while he would recite to you what happened; you always wanted to know if you could.

it was always rough, and your heart felt for him. you wished he didn’t have to exert himself so harshly every night. it only made you worry more about something happening to him.

when you were done, you’d look at him with loving empathy and caress his face. “ay, mi vida..” you would sigh sadly, but miles always gave you that charming, strong smile.

“don’t worry, ma, i’ll be alright. i’ll always be alright. plus,” he would smirk, “i think we make a good team like this. you can be my hot nurse.” he winked. he didn’t want you to worry at all, especially not more than you had to. he would always be okay for your sake, if not for anyone else’s.

you would cringe roll your eyes at his statement and thump his forehead playfully. then, you’d bring him in a warm embrace. “you wanna stay here tonight, hermoso?”

“yeah. yeah i’d like that.” he’d smile softly down at you, wondering how he could ever repay you for all you’ve done for him.

There is just just much potential to unfold here. With exception of event characters like Granny Felmeir and Najma, all female characters are all off screen. So we kind of have to fill in the blanks of who these women and how they act, and that is where the fun comes in.

Especially for a Miss Yuu, because by default the whole situation raises many questions and concerns that all the mama bears come out. Yuu gets more care packages than their sons. "What do you mean why am I sending her things? You have everything you need and she has nothing. Now be sure to ask if she liked the cookies I sent." Yuu went from barely scraping by to being in want of nothing in just a few months.

We all know Asha, we all know Lilith. I just know Deuces mom is so nice and offers to have her over for breaks if she ever needs it. "Does she have any family? No? Invite her for the holidays right now!" Or Sebeks mom, I like to headcanon that Mrs. Zigvolt is more or less twisted from Fauna, so she is the sweetest lady alive. Her children are her everything and she cannot stand the thought of Yuu being all alone. She will not stand for it.

Mama Ashengrotto and Mama Leech are instigating each other, I just know it. They both like Yuu and love having her around. Theyre going to set up some Kiss the girl type scenes for their sons and hope it works. If Azul or the Tweels win they both win.

I feel like they all have a friendly competition to see whose son Yuu ends up liking. The race to be her mother in law if you will.

The slight discourse about race hc’s in the community has made me wanna put all my hc races of my favorite boys and their listeners

Warning!! I am black myself and these are just descriptions of what I see in my head based off of how the voices sound and what other people’s hc have made me see

David is white. He’s born tan though, Him and his dad are both on the darker side of white.

Angel is half white half black. So they’re fairly lightskinned.

Asher might be white and hispanic. I could see him whining “¿Por Que Mamiii?” whe his mom tells him to do something.

Baabe is black. Like big Afro and dark skin black.

Milo is black and Italian (And Irish). Colm is Italian so his skin is fairly light and his hair is really just fluffy and straight. Marie is a cute 5’0 darkskinned mama with 4a hair. So Milo is a good shade darker than caramel macchiato and his hair isn’t super thick, but instead super curly (when it gets wet it turns really straight and slick)

Sweetheart is black and mexican. They’re darker than angel but lighter than Milo. Their hair can get really thick when it’s dry but their curls loosen a lot when their hair is wet.

Sam is around the same shade as david, maybe a little lighter. I think that Sam’s parents were also on the darker side of caucasian and I’m a strong believer that Sam LOOOOVED the sun while he was a human. Being a vampire just turned him pale because of the whole sun thing.

Darlin’ is darkskinned. A good percent of their family from both mom and dad’s side is from Georgia. Big Hair, much like Baaabe’s but down their back.

Gavin is….I cant decide if i want him to be a hot pink-ish guy or if i want him to be a darkskin guy with dreads. (Demons do come in all sorts of colors shapes forms and sizes so it could work either way)

FL is my shade. Just african american. Super curly hair and always keeps their hair in a back puff so it’s out of their face. Around this color

Damien is white and japanese. I just know his skin is flawless. Hair grows ridiculously fast.

Huxley is either Samoan & white or black. Now there’s a few possibilities for Hux…

He has a buzz cut so that when he lays on the ground he can be “Closer to Earth”

If not a buzzer, it’s the most luscious curly/wavy and bouncy hair LITERALLY EVER.

If he’s black, he used to cut his hair off a lot because his hair got annoying to tame but decided to loc it up because he thinks locs are “sick”

Lasko is just white in my head. Brown fluffy hair and freckles white.

Guy is kinda tan white. Not as near as dark as David but a little darker than Lasko. I actually think Guy’s hair is kinda curly (it’s a pain to put that hair net on)

Honey is just white. I would say spicy white but they’re more like “black washed white” like “Grew up in the hood” white.

Blake is super white. Greenish blue eyes, black straight fluffy hair.

Bestie is black. A little heat damage because high school’s beauty standard is destructive, but very curly hair down to their shoulders.

Avior…I wanna say he’s grey. This pretty shade of grey that makes him look a little off white, but his hair and features fit his skin so well. He’s just a glittery guy.

Starlight is African american too. Really just like Bestie but with longer hair.

Vincent is sooooo white. I mean obviously bc of the vampire thing. But no fr he’s basically the color white. Black hair though.

Lovely is ALSO pretty white. Dark brown long straight hair and literally turns THEE color red when you embarrass them.

But this sweet little moment they had smiling at each other and him kissing her and telling she’s cute I MELTED😭 it almost felt like he’s a normal person🥹

And when they got to her mother’s house, the part with him reading her diary and calling her a nerd omg this little normal couple moments have my heart 🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭

And i love how protective he gets when it’s about her, wanting to find one of her mother’s ex bf and kill him cause he touched her? Im such a slut for men like that fr

And god bestie you WRECKED MY HEART with the part where she was screaming and crying after her mother’s letter. Cried so so so much. Omega deserves so much better.

And at his parents house🥹 Steve is such a mama’s boy I can’t. i loved every moment of them at his parents house, it felt like this place really brought out the best of them. At Steve’s place there was Bucky and sam around and idk I just always got the feeling omega is super uncomfortable with that. And at his parents house it felt like she was more calm, and even found a friend🥹 she always wanted a real mother, and her being friend with her mother in law was so good and healthy for her. She never really had anyone to talk to and Steve’s mother really gets her being an omega herself

Omega’s constant need to be with Steve was honestly adorable, yet so sad at the same time. Like she was always afraid that if she’d not never to him he’ll just disappear and leave her alone with her thoughts and she was so scared of that

Ngl at the ultrasound I was kinda scared that their gonna find out that there is no baby but there wad and this moment was so wholesome😭🥹

And yk what I don’t wanna talk about this whole Bucky thing ok this made me way to emotional and i love Bucky and I hate him at the same time and this whole thing just broke me

But the end and the epilogue i just 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 cried!! so!!! Much!!!!!!! IT WAS PERFECT i loved it i just loved the way they both changed so much and became literally perfect for each other. Like they’re actually meant to be. They’re relationship at first felt really forced, like he has her trapped and she doesn’t want to be there, and she was too scared to even look him in the eyes, and he was just a complete asshole. And they change so much to fit each other and make this relationship so healthy and pure and full of love🥹

and the daughter???!!!??? STEVIE IS A GIRL DAD😭😭😭😭😭 and the name Rosie omg!!!!!!!! Love it!!!!!!!
