Shen Yuan getting transported into pidw isn't "the system punishing him for being a lazy internet hater," but instead representative of "step 1 of the creative process: getting so mad at something you decide to go write your own fucking book" in this essay I will

a BIG part of the lore of Dungeon Meshi is how ageism is bad. About how the long lived races treat the young lived races like children and thus infantilize them and do not show them the respect and understanding they deserve simply because of their looks or short life spans.
Whether its because to them they look like children in their eyes (like half foots and gnomes) or because the adult ages of the younger lived races are still in the child ages for the longer lived ones and so they get treated/viewed as children (we see otta receive comments about getting with minors when in reality she dated adult half foot women. so we already see this view towards things like this are a thing in the lore)
We see this with chilchuck, senshi, and marcille where the two later view chilchuck as a child and treat him like one even though he is a full grown man who drinks (and is supposed to have grey hairs) all because he looks young and in the newest episode its revealed he is 29 which is still young children to the two of them.
We see how perspectives that characters are children because of their age being a childs age for a different race as opposed to their race or because they look like children is a completely infantilizing and disrespectful behavior that causes so many problems in the long run.
a theme that is completely flying over the average tumblr users head.
ive seen people get furious at other people because they sexualize chilchuck and even marcille
“oh they look like kids so dont do that you freak”
you absolute fool you missed a major theme of the fucking story. But because they look young suddenly they are children? have you paid no attention to the story? did you just ignore how the ageisim and weird mindset about ages like that causes so many issues that could easily have been avoided.
and as for the age one i see people getting furious at others for being into and sexualizing izutsumi even though she is a year past adult in tall man years, but because she isnt in the adult age range in real life (wild your applying real life society standards to a fictional medieval fantasy world). even though even in lore she would be well an adult able to get married and everything
tumblr really does have the media literacy of a toddler.

Very deeply annoyed by the fanon idea that Talia treated Jason like a pet or a tool when he was catatonic, because when you actually read lost days you can clearly see that Talia is literally the only person who looked at Jason while he was catatonic and still saw a person and treated him like a person while everyone else around her (Ra’s and the doctor she hired) was ready to dismiss Jason as an empty shell

that’s the thing about ned stark to me is that he loves his family so much. and fighting a whole war in their memory and then failing to save his sister created this trauma that is so central to his character that he simply cannot heal from it. and yet he so wholly and unquestioningly trusts the evil systems of his evil society to work that if everything HAD gone to plan and Lyanna had married Robert and gotten stuck in a tower in Storm’s End dying in childbirth against her will. WOULD it even have occurred to Ned to intervene.

It's so wild to me that as a community we're still so hostile to multigender and genderfluid people existing in gay and lesbian spaces.
You...are aware that people who are both men and women are allowed to be gay, right? And lesbian? Their other genders doesn't cancel their connection to womanhood, or manhood, or whatever else they id with. They are allowed to be gay despite their fem-alignment, and they are allowed to be lesbian despite their masc-alignment.
It comes from these weird online spaces that the standard to be gay or lesbian is to be a "non-woman" or a "non-man," which is inherently transmultiphobic and...extremely ahistorical. And completely misunderstands nonbinary identity. So if you're both then you just don't belong anywhere I suppose.

isn't it wild that warden-commander invoked the right of conscription on anders with direct permission of the queen/king of ferelden and templars still didn't leave him be. isn't it wild that some of them were willing to drink darkspawn blood and bound themselves to another order just to get to him even though he was proven to be under warden-commander's protection. isn't it wild that the wardens had always been a golden ticket for mages who tried to get away from the circle and it was working perfectly fine for everyone else and then in his case it just didn't

"Bakudeku is toxic because Katsuki bullied Izuku in the past!" There's nothing more hateful and toxic than apologizing for your very shitty past actions: catching him in the rain, despite absolutely HATING the rain, ignoring his own health for him, having his last words before he DIES be about Izuku, FIGHT to get to see izuku in the hospital when he's ALSO in a shitty state, thinking about Izuku 99% of the time—like always. It’s always “head empty, only river scene/Izuku,” sobbing because Izuku lost his quirk, which means he can’t be a hero. Wanting to "spend their entire lives competing together", keeping his hero ranks low on purpose just so that when Izuku becomes a hero again, they can compete for the number one spot. Dedicating EIGHT years of his life to earn well and probably live in a pretty crappy state because of that just so he makes SURE he gets the right tech and support course items to create the perfect suit for Izuku. Even if Izuku gave up on his dream, Katsuki didn't. Isn't that absolutely hateful and toxic!!!!!! Bakudeku is only toxic in season ONE AND TWO!!!!! Katsuki HAD character development wheather you like him or not!!!!

everytime sunghoon wins a rugby match he pulls at his jersey and jumps with his friends, sweat clinging to his hair and gleaming over his perfect skin. he’s so attractive when he’s victorious, a knowing smirk as he hears the intercom announce yet another smashing win. and yet through all the noise, through the pats on the back and the itch of the padding, he sees you near, jumping to your friend in a jersey identical to his—you’re wearing his old jersey with 12 to represent december, and the number on his to represent your birthmonth.
and the kiss after? oh, you’d kiss him no matter how gross he is. park sunghoon with a smirk and your number on his jersey is a man you are lucky to call yours.

Ok so a while back I had a conversation with my friend's aunt. She's a trans woman well into her 50, who has kids and grandkids, and she came out when she was in her 40's. Me and my friends were talking about our queer space, and mentioned the well known "token cishet man"
Now, I'm sure most of us have that guy in our friend group, and it was common for us to just call him the straight guy. But my friend's aunt offered a different perspective ; she once was that token cishet man in a queer group of friends. Getting categorized so strongly as "the cis straight guy" made it harder for her to come out and accept herself. Since that talk with her, I've been careful about it, and guess what? Two women I've once called "the straightest person I know" (different occasions, and it was high school) now have girlfriends! You literally cannot know if someone is queer, and honestly most people are not the straight cisest person out there.
Anyways I'm not very articulate and English is not my friend but like I think everyone would benefit from being a little more careful about the way we treat our "token straight guy", she might be thankful later!
