i think it’s hilarious that kuroo is labeled by the fandom as a sex god when he’s THE most average guy. he was the guy in middle school who was kinda ugly but suuuuper personable, played a few sports but excelled at none, and ate dry oatmeal in the back of class. his first years of high school, he became average-looking but was still super irrelevant because he did nothing but volleyball and school work, and in that order. he finally gains a small reputation of being fine in his last years of high school. still only does volleyball and school work (in that order), but his name is known amongst the underclassmen for being funny and good looking. he sits in the back of your ap science class, eating dry oatmeal from the pack. sometimes, he roasts the teacher’s outfit or comments sarcastically on the homework. i really think he’s just a smart jock in school.

oh good, I was afraid that wasn't going to read properly and people would just be like "what is this supposed to be". :') but yeah! I like to think Eric was pretty fond of Neige as a kid! single dad sees orphan child approximately the same age as his own son and goes "hmm. okay, you guys are going to be friends now." (this did not go as well as he'd hoped.)

(also I do love how it's kind of a running joke that everyone loves Neige except for Vil, who's standing over in the corner and just seething with furious irrational hatred. someday maybe he'll find someone who doesn't think Neige is the best thing since cinnamon rolls.)

Amidst all the stuff going on with Mappa studios, I want to shout out all the animators on staff. They work far too hard, often long and impossible hours, with very little appreciation. Not just for Jujutsu Kaisen, all of Mappa's productions -Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Chainsaw Man, Hell's Paradise, etc. I hope that the animation staff gets the appreciation they deserve, all roughly 360 people on staff- along with more reasonable treatment. I'm completely fine with waiting a bit longer for episodes if the staff making them are treated like actual human beings.
