Im seeing a lot of speculation about the new hermits but i'm 100% sure that Joel WILL be one. First, he hasn't said anything. In other season starts, he always said something.

To harvest the roots of any Egypt it seems we haven’t roots from Ptah (5011) and Apophis (99942). More research is needed on this of course but this is the absolute best I’ve got right now so far. Will update another day.

Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.

I am so sorry and sad to have woken up to this news, Hind's body was found alongside the two medics who went to rescue her, after 12 days.

Hind was killed. And Israel continues its crimes without consequences.

Today I thank the Lord of the universe, for the gift that I can still breathe well, without having to pay. That I am still given mental and physical health. Thank you, thank you. Thank You.

I enjoy the peace of life. Good living environment, comfortable house. Therefore, I pray for those in Palestine and Israel, hopefully you will soon find the best way towards peace. I know it won't be easy, but let me still wish you peace there.

Maybe my voice will not be heard, but if each of us on this earth continues to hope for peace, it will be created too. Although who knows when.

We each take sides. Hopefully the side where we hope to continue to live peacefully side by side will find a way.

there has been more moments than i can count in the past seven months where i felt destroyed by all the death and carnage i've seen due to the colonialism and imperialism of the world. but there was something in particular about hind's death that made me think the world would stop turning bc how could anything continue given how gruesome and inhumane her death was? and yet, the world did not stop. and i thought we were once again left to remember her story only in our minds as she became another number, as her murderers went on killing unpunished, and as her mother grieved with rage when all she wanted was to keep her daughter warm and as safe as she could manage in this man-made hell on earth.

however, hind, a girl who only got to experience her kindergarten graduation, is now being immortalized in universities across the nation. her story did resonate to the masses and we will not let her be forgotten nor forgive those complicit in her death. real justice would be having hind alive, but these students are showing that they will stop the world and burn the status quo it upholds to the ground if it means her people can truly be liberated.

The BEST thing Live Action ATLA has done is make Zuko keep a diary. Like that is far too in-character. You know it is filled with the most angsty reflections ever, there are tear stains and burn marks on the pages, like "I am losing my sense of humanity" with glitter pen levels. He saw a turtleduck once and it was effervescent. There are flowers pressed in there, terrible awful poetry.

The most important part is he does not call it his diary, it is his super cool war journal that is NOT about feelings it is (supposedly) about the war, the Avatar and his bending progression.

Prim's name wasn't the only one in the reaping bowl because the entire point of Prim being chosen is to show that life in Panem is random and cruel. These kids truly are selected and die for nothing, based on nothing, most of the time. There is often no grand cosmic plan or 4D chess conspiracy at play in awful circumstances unfolding, just systems of oppression working as they were designed. And you can do everything right to the letter - be the youngest eligible tribute from an unknown family whose name is only in the bowl once, not take out any tesserae - but it still won't save you.
