In this article, we'll delve into five key steps that can guide you on your journey to mastering Binary Options.
Educate Yourself
The first and foremost step to master Binary Options is to educate yourself thoroughly about the market and the trading process. Understand the basic concepts, terminology, and how Binary Options work. Familiarize yourself with different trading strategies, risk management techniques, and market analysis tools. There are numerous online resources, courses, and tutorials that can provide valuable insights into the world of Binary Options trading.
Choose a Reputable Broker
Selecting the right broker is crucial when it comes to mastering Binary Options. Look for a broker with a solid reputation, transparent trading conditions, and a user-friendly platform. Ensure the broker is regulated by relevant authorities to guarantee a secure trading environment. A reliable broker will offer a variety of assets, trading options, and provide essential tools and resources to enhance your trading experience.

Develop a Solid Trading Plan
Successful Binary Options traders don't rely on luck; they have a well-thought-out trading plan. Define your trading goals, risk tolerance, and preferred trading strategy. Consider factors such as market analysis, entry and exit points, and money management. Stick to your plan, and avoid making impulsive decisions based on emotions. Consistency is key when it comes to mastering Binary Options.
Practice with a Demo Account

Keep track of relevant news, economic reports, and global events that can impact asset prices. Additionally, be prepared to adapt your trading strategies based on market conditions. Assassins With a Smile: Veilguard’s Crows and the Neoliberal Fantasy of Elite Violence
In Dragon Age: Veilguard, one of the most ideologically revealing choices is the elevation of the Crows—a privately-funded, aristocrat-aligned assassination mafia—as the “reasonable,” “pragmatic,” and even morally preferable faction.
From a materialist or leftist perspective, this is completely absurd.
From a neoliberal “only the competent elite matter” perspective?
It’s textbook.
Fantasy Mafia, Market-Approved
Historically, the Crows have been portrayed as a dangerous and murky force in Dragon Age lore: tied to political assassination, noble power games, and mercenary corruption. In Veilguard, however, they’re recast as Antiva’s best hope for order. Not justice—order. The message is clear: yes, they’re a velvet-gloved knife-wielding death cult, but they’re our velvet-gloved knife-wielding death cult.
The game positions them against Ivenci, a civil reformer who wants to build a real justice system not beholden to mercenaries. But Ivenci is ridiculed—portrayed as fumbling, overly idealistic, out of their depth. Despite the fact that their proposal—building a civic institution not held hostage by mafia violence—is objectively more just and more sustainable.
This is narrative rigging. It's a rigged ideological binary:
Community violence in sexy coats vs. goofy bureaucratic reformer.
A Fantasy of Grassroots Violence (for the Elite)
And then comes the final blow: Ivenci, who once stood for structural reform, ultimately sides with the Antaam—the game’s imperialist invading force. It’s a real betrayal, framed not as a tragic misstep, but as confirmation that civic reformers are untrustworthy power-seekers.
Instead of showing how power corrupts across factions, the game uses Ivenci’s fall as an ideological shortcut to erase the entire premise of state-building or institutional justice. They're imprisoned, discredited, and narratively discarded—clearing the path for the Crows to emerge as the “pragmatic” default.
This isn't complexity. It's a sleight of hand. It says:
→ “The only people you can trust with power are the ones who already have it.”
→ “Don’t build justice—outsource it to the velvet-gloved aristocrats.”
It’s an Ayn Rand worldview, dressed in Bioware romance dialogue.
Neoliberal Logic in a Dagger Sheath
The rehabilitation of the Crows follows the classic neoliberal pattern:
Institutions are weak.
The people are disorganized.
Reformers are foolish or corruptible.
Power belongs to those who wield it efficiently—and attractively.
The Crows aren’t grassroots. They’re aristocracy with better lighting.
Calling them “what’s best for Antiva” is like calling a hedge fund good for your local school district.
And yet, Veilguard sells them with a straight face.
Assassins, Rebranded as Community Leaders
The game doesn’t critique the Crows—it markets them.
We’re not invited to question their structure, history, or legitimacy. We’re invited to romance them. Align with them. Accept their violence as “necessary.” It’s a fantasy of privatized justice, sold as stability—and one where the public never gets a seat at the table.
In a series that once explored mage rebellions, chantry corruption, and religious revolution, Veilguard trades in its radical edge for something safer:
Sexy murderers who keep the wheels turning.
Final Thought:
If the “reasonable, grounded” option is a fumbling, noble-funded assassination guild that keeps dropping the ball—and your game still treats them like the good guys...
...You’re not telling a story about justice.
You’re telling a story about why the powerful deserve to stay in power, no matter how many times they fail.
#veilguard critical#dragon age the veilguard#bioware critical#da:tv critical#veilguard spoilers#dragon age critical#a lot of thoughts on veilguard#da: the veilguard#veilguard is neoliberalist accidentally#im not saying the writers are bad people#they just didn't think enough#this is kind of a quickie so plz let me know if I missed or misunderstood something#Did you notice that only the elite like Lucanis get second#third#fourth chances.

Psychic Duelist (Pathfinder Second Edition Archetype)

(art by Valashi on DeviantArt)
Ah yes, psychic duels. A minor system introduced in Occult Adventures of First Edition, which were a neat idea on paper but while I’ve not had the opportunity to test directly. I feel was probably hit or miss with fans. At the very least, it was heavily skewed towards spellcasters, particularly any psychic class, and with your options being “Pick a way to attack, set up a defense, or create a psychic summon, I feel like such fights have a risk of devolving into just trading blows with no nuance aside from descriptions. But again, I’ve never actually tested it directly myself, so I might be off-base here.
With the Dark Archive book bringing the creepy and kooky side of the occult (and the psychic class) back into the equation, it only makes sense that psychic duels would make a return.
So how do they measure up? Well, now, psychic combat works just like regular combat except that it’s all theater of the mind as distance and speed don’t matter, and you just use your regular strikes and expend spells, but now you can go crazy with the descriptions.
However, as-written, psychic duels in this new edition are only possible thanks to special artifacts, meeting in a dream, and the like, with only today’s archetype being able to do so deliberately without aid… A whole 12 levels into your character.
That’s right, the psychic duelist (originally an archetype for the psychic in 1st edition) can only start up a binary mindscape to start duking it out in the brainspace a full halfway into their potential journey… Something I might add was a level 1 spell in First Edition, making it so that the majority of this archetype’s powers (including the Dedication Feat) useless until then. Sure, you can take the archetype whenever, but unless the campaign revolves around a lot of psychic dueling through assisted methods, you’re not going to be taking this archetype early with the assumption that it’s going to be a key part of the character’s identity.
I mean, I get it I guess. The balance of 2E is very much about position and maneuvering, and in theory a character that can trap a foe inside a mindscape and fight, leaving said foe open to getting the shit beaten out of them in the real world even if the mindscape duelist isn’t doing so well themselves would be a serious problem if available in early levels outside of a controlled environment, but it still feels like they could have done something better to alleviate the egregiousness of this example of inter-edition paradigm shifting and mechanical dissonance.
Anyway, I suppose before we move on I should actually talk about the archetype itself.
Psychic duelists are exactly what they sound like, those who have mastered the art of fighting with their minds, using their imagination to bolster their knowledge of their own capabilities inside a shared mindscape. They might be assassins, ascetic warriors, or simply competitors seeking to demonstrate how their brain literally triumphs over brawn, and so on.
So with that preamble and my complaints set aside, let’s take a look, shall we?
The base dedication for the archetype makes the mystic better trained for reacting at the start of a psychic duel. Additionally, they can select two modes, either enhancing the potency of their mental attacks, or constructing said mental attacks around the familiar knowledge of their own physical strengths and equipment (in other words allowing them to use their physical stats and AC instead of mental stats and defenses).
Normally, duelists only gain a few minor spells like summoning in addition to their usual, letting them imagine psychic constructs to fight for them alongside their own attacks and defenses. However, some take this further and learn how to disrupt the mind and senses with unconventional mental attacks.
Maintaining your center is key in such duels, and so these mental warriors learn to recenter themselves often, either to regain focus or shift it as needed.
Finally, the most skilled can induce a psychic duel anywhere, though only the strongest and luckiest can trap a foe in such a duel against their will for long, giving them plenty of opportunity to break free.
Like I said before, there’s no reason to take this archetype in the early levels at all unless there’s a reliable story reason why your character gets into psychic duels regularly, but it can be useful mid-level if you’re that interested. If nothing else, the dedication feat is a major boon since being able to use your AC and physical stats is a major boon to characters in martial classes that want to take the archetype. However, this archetype can be a boon for any character, no matter how stabby or cast-y they are, assuming that psychic duels are a thing that happens in the campaign. If not, you’re better off emulating the idea of a psychic combatant with the psychic multiclass archetype or other mentalist archetypes and classes.
Fights that take place purely in the mind, whether they be theoretical or literal have been a long-standing part of fiction involving psychic or simply brilliant characters for a long time, and so it’s worth looking up said media for inspiration if you want some ideas of how to bring imagination into your psychic duels.
Though the clockwork soldiers of Urstav’s uprising have no minds, the members of the mentalist dueling club can still use their talents on the living generals wired into the more powerful machines. Recruiting them to take back the city will be a major boon in ending the mechanical nightmare the city is gripped by.
A strange mentalist can be found in a tucked-away corner of the bazaar. This elder brughadatch, a form of frog-like fey known for their illusions, offers visitors a chance at wondrous prizes by agreeing to engage him in a psychic duel. However, besting the doblagub won’t be easy.
Known across campus as the Drowning Dark, the wayang Ibreka has made her name as a psychic duelist, specializing in overwhelming foes with insensate darkness to achieve victory. There could be a lot of prestige in knocking her down a few pegs in the rankings, but also the chance of creating a bitter rival.

The complete knowledges about forex binary trading
A Brief Overview of All the Information About Forex Binary Trading
Combining elements of binary options and conventional forex trading, forex binary trading is a novel type of financial trading. It provides an easy way of currency price speculation with well-defined risk and profit. Here is a brief yet complete summary of everything you should know:
First, what is binary trading in forex? Predicting whether the price of a currency pair will increase or decrease over a specific amount of time is the goal of forex binary trading. You get paid a set amount if your prediction comes true. You forfeit your money in that trade if you don't.
Binary: The meaning of "binary" refers to the fact that there are only two possible outcomes: winning and losing.
Forex: A foreign exchange (forex) currency pair, such as EUR/USD or GBP/JPY, serves as the fundamental asset.
2. How It Operates 1. Select a currency pair, such as EUR/USD.
2. Choose the expiration time, which can range from 30 seconds to an hour or longer.
3. Choose the course: Will the price at expiration be higher or lower than it is now?
4. Enter your preferred investment amount.
5. Put the trade into action and watch for what happens.
You receive a fixed return (often 70–90%) if you are correct. You lose the money you invested if you're mistaken.

VN Anon here. Sorry if my ask caused up a stir. I genuinely wanted to compliment you on your efforts with your first VN and understand your inspirations behind it without coming off too strong.
I was so invested with how you approached Sonic and Knuckles' conflict -- it's a very solid adaptation of what tends to be the heart of their disagreements. I was a little caught off guard when I was trying to help Amy, so I did feel like I was thrown for a loop when I accidentally prioritised her external conflict over her internal conflict (I got a real good scolding from Sonic TwT). And Cream's event made me feel personally responsible and protective of her, and the background story that Vanilla wants the best for her but considers discouraging her dream of becoming a baker made me feel a bit seen lol. So I commend you for making me feel human emotions like I'm a part of the cast even as Sonic's buddy^^
The unique spin you added with the puns, the dogs, Knuckles' weeb deal was a fun break from expectations. And your thoughtfulness over avoiding narration fatigue is also something I appreciate heavily since I'm frankly not a vn player by trade. I was interested in seeing your spin on the cast since I tend to agree with your thoughts on the game cast.
Currently still on the meta section (the character swap is entertaining), but I like how Eggman is a genuine threat, an absolute control freak, and sees me as a tool! Guy's a hilarious bastard as always!
I guess I'm trying to say that from one artist to another, I think your art's really nice and I resonate with it! I'm gonna play Antigravity once I have some spare time!
No worries, you didn't say anything wrong. Everything's cool. :>
Thanks! Originally it was going to be a kinetic novel (linear VN with no choices) but due to my inexperience with RenPy at the time, I couldn't figure out how to make branching paths; every choice tended to loop back around, so I decided to work with that conceit instead.
OaS isn't fully non-kinetic, but it isn't fully kinetic either. Only one choice really matters, which determines whether you get the bad ending, and even that can be reversed if you know what to do. You might just have to suffer for it a little, is all.
Without getting too spoilery, each choice has a "bad" alternate route, which is implied to be Eggman veering things off-script. You can see this as early as the first choice, where he pops in with a jumpscare. Because there aren't a whole lot of choices, I tried to make each one weightier than usual, as well as fairly obvious.
The overall idea is that you'll evaluate each situation and choose the option that's best for the characters, rather than something you may personally want them to do. ex. Sonic says he's getting stir-crazy, so it would be kind of imposing your will on him to be like "no, stay home and read a book." The original plan was to tally each of the player's bad choices and have Sonic issue a warning if it looked like the player was on the path towards a bad ending, with each one slowly increasing the volume on the alarm. But, again, due to my inexperience with RenPy, I didn't know how to set up those variables. What I wound up doing instead was a more binary system where one choice is the "good" choice that progresses the VN like normal, whereas the other is the "bad" choice that loops you back around following a jumpscare.
There's nothing in the code that will punish you for making poor choices - you won't get any friendship points docked or anything like that - but since the game is about friendship, I was hoping Sonic's admonitions would be enough. The deterrent needs to be a little harsh in the absence of flagged variables.
(And that's before Vanilla puts the fear of God in you. :P)
---
Currently still on the meta section (the character swap is entertaining), but I like how Eggman is a genuine threat, an absolute control freak, and sees me as a tool! Guy's a hilarious bastard as always!
nobody appreciates Eggman's contributions xP
"Do you have any idea how hard I work, Sonic?"
"well maybe you'd ship on time if you let somebody else handle the co---"
"SHUT UP, SONIC"
And yeah, Sonic and Eggman pulling a Freaky Friday has always been my jam. There's something about it that just tickles my funny bone.
---
I guess I'm trying to say that from one artist to another, I think your art's really nice and I resonate with it! I'm gonna play Antigravity once I have some spare time!
Ty, I'm glad you're enjoying it. ^^ And no rush. I'm still working out the bugs in Antigravity.
Two recommendations, though: don't try to rollback or button-mash if you can. RenPy doesn't remember the last action you took while you're in the battle loop, so if you try to rollback during battle, it'll take you to the title screen.
I do want to see if disabling rollback will fix the issue, but that's for later. I'm currently working on making more maps.

how can you reblog a Zionist post criticizing people who support Palestine for allowing themselves to be harmed in an effort to support Palestine (https://www.tumblr.com/reasonandempathy/743584944850354176/politics-is-fucking-soul-churning-it-really-is) while also seeming to respect Aaron Bushnell, who made the ultimate sacrifice in an effort to support Palestine? is it so unthinkable that people would be willing to act against their own interest to stop a genocide?
TLDR; that post isn't denying people can self-sacrifice to stop a genocide. That post is about taking the broader context into perspective, and remembering that Trump Is Still So Much Worse, so you should vote against him.
-------------------------------------
Was thinking about this one, actually.
Didn't know the person's broader political views until checking them out, and while it's important context for that person individually, but the post at large still, broadly, stands.
There is, undoubtedly, an aspect of political discourse that promotes people who would vote for Biden to stay home or vote for someone not Biden and not Trump, rooted in (to a much lesser extent than Bushnell, who was being compelled to be an active participant) not wanting to be complicit in that genocide.
What I took to be the main thrust of that post was to point out the unfortunately very, very real dynamic of not helping Biden win would, objectively, be worse for everyone including Palestinians if Trump wins. And in a truly, honestly Binary choice between D or R, there is a correct choice to make. It's Biden.
The first few paragraphs of that post are basic "don't be selective with your care." Which is true.
The rape of Israeli women, the Jewish Diaspora, The various tortures and war crimes inflicted by Hamas and the Houthis are not things to be forgotten nor supported. The world is fucking complicated and "Good Guys" are in incredibly short supply, but "Hooray Huthis" is what I'd call an incredibly fraught tightrope to walk.
----------
The main thrust of that post, though, is referring to people who know Trump is worse and have done extensive work broadcasting that Trump is, objectively, Worse for Palestinians. Worse for Women. Worse for the LGBTQ community. Worse for Non-Christians. Worse for BIPOC. It's pretty simple and reasonable to think that if Trump was in the White House he would find some way to be even worse right now than Biden is being.
But they still can't endorse or support Biden. Who is definitely horrible, but also objectively the better of the 2 options we have.
Which is why I said Politics is soul-churning. Because it is. Because, outside of any actual plan to get anyone else into the White House, it is objectively Better for the people I care about.
My fiance.
My friends.
My extended family.
My Neighbors.
My trade union (though I haven't been in it for a few years).
My city.
My values.
It is objectively Better for Biden to be in power than Trump, which, again, is the only realistic alternative to Trump. But it does mean voting for the guy. And, yeah, I'm in NY (not a secret). Maybe I could vote for the Justice Party or the Green Party or something else.
But I can't assume nobody else will do that, and ceding what small influence I have (.000008% of Biden's popular vote in 2020) to actually help people to instead assuage my personal beliefs is putting my comfort over that small, minuscule, but very Real influence in being able to help people.
I...have blood on my hands. (broadly) We all do. I just want to add less to it.

Angry about something
Please, please, please, let movements be horrible on their own without saying, "The're the [previous thing] of [subject]"
We don't say the Nazis were the modern Napoleonic Imperialists. We don't say the Napoleonic Imperialists were their day's Golden Horde of Genghis Khan. We don't say Muslim pirates and abductors from Tripoli cruising Europe for slaves and conquests were "totally Trans Atlantic Slave Trading it." Muslims were abducting Europeans for slave applications for centuries before Europeans did it for
And when people talk about modern day Intersectional Feminists, capital P Progressives and oldschool TERF-flavor feminists get nasty in accordance with their values all over a pasttime, a hobby, or a group of people that enjoys something and tells them they're doing it wrong thanks to a VERY unreliably narrated assessment of what they are and why they are, they tend to treat their behavior as if it's the same stock mindset of previous experience related to Christian puritainism and religious evangelism.
Don't fucking do this. Their values are not the same. They come from a different place, and you doing this helps them do something they SPECIFICALLY like to do. First, muck around acting like assholes in self-righteous quests to control how people interpret reality and see things, and when called out for it, have their own controlled mea culpa where they apologize because, "that's just the old Christian White Supremacist in me, the feminism part of me isn't like that and can't be like that because feminism is just good and can't be bad. I'm sowwy. :C"
No. Fucking no. Do NOT fucking allow that to happen. Feminism is not a simple act of seeing women as equal, it's an entire dogmatic baggage that necessitates Class Struggle Theory, the willful adoption of the idea the only thing that matters in sexual politics is that "Women Are Oppressed (TM)" even when circumstances and culture are entirely equal and even handed with them, and that society owes them something to compensate for this inherent oppression- at the expense of men. And that Society is the third wheel in their relationship, automatically there to redistribute from the man.
Feminism bills itself as simply a phenomenon of 'equality'... for women.. but it is no more this than Christianity is synonymous with The Good(tm). It certainly is a shitty way to see the world, but it is not the definition of seeing the world. It boils down to making some very very intensely specific logical leaps and shortcuts out of convenience and then dogmatically insisting these values are immutable and unquestionable.
From that position, we come to the other little black box in the equation. The idea that something that exists in culture that represents an icon or concept, oppresses and exploits that icon, object or group, and that it is specifically wrong to objectify that, but only if it's a woman, a group that is "oppressed." (it's however perfectly justifiable to objectify an 'oppressor.' See how that works.) Right before they say some apologetics like, "It's not MY fault cisheterosexual Judeo-Christian Patriarchy is sexually binary! Maybe if you agreed in more options we wouldn't be having this conversation!"
And it's because of this shitty point of view, they argue that even having big booby fictional characters that are female, boobily boobing down the stairs for the appreciation of the audience, they jump to the next facet of their belief system. Male Gaze Theory.
Built off their idea that Classes Struggle (tm) and Women Are the Obligate Oppressed Class(tm), and that any reference or participation by women is inherently an act of an oppressed political group in bondage to and beholden to their oppressive captors, AND that works of fiction and literature are part of culture, these facets of culture give groups their marching orders, programming and ideas on what they are, mean and even their existence. They believe, uncompromisingly, that your very perception and understanding of reality is built solely upon what books written by the state have to say about what is real and what isn't. That if society writes books about a murderer and don't go out of their way to omnipotently, omnipresently dictate with no ambiguity that, "Murder is bad, ackshully," that you endorse a society where murder happens. And, no joke, this is how they imagine murder, theft and antisocial behavior happening. Because it exists in that cultural bubble like evil waves of energy, just going unneutralized to warp the minds of unprepared people who haven't been told what is right and wrong by society, making them rapists, murderers and exploiters of those weaker than them (and they only care when the person exploits someone weaker than them.)
So they see sexy drawn women as depictions of an oppressed minority being reveled over by a slavemaster class, exploiting their image and the idea of that group for profit (which they also despise) and believe the women should also be profitting off their "exploitation" in fiction, and some sort of state council should exist that oversees the expression or interpretation of women in fiction, or else abolish the work from existing for not fitting their moral and social view of how literature and culture are "allowed" to see women. Seeing this very dour, extreme interpretation about how all men depicting women is exploitation, and by default society is meant for a male, oppressor perspective, is called, "Male Gaze Theory."
At no point in this equation did their greviance or conceptual principles cross over with Puritainism or Christians. They are their own totalitarian beasts, and like the Nazis are not Napoleonics are not The Mongol Horde, FUCKING TELL IT LIKE IT IS AND ACCEPT RADICAL FEMINISM IS JUST LIKE THIS.
You can somehow see one radical conservative and condemn the entire conservative or right-wing party as inherently racist, white supremacist and homophobic, but you can't acknowledge that radical feminism has more Ls to its name and more bad ideas and more bad values than rejecting the idea that trans men and women aren't men and women. All their ideological supremacism, all their logical leaps, all of their antagonistic marching into any fandom and demanding the fandom most conform to their ideas of what is mentally, emotionally an socially healthy, are their own. They are not Puritans, they're fucking radical feminists. Do not use the bad behavior of past groups as an ablative shield when you fucking mean what you mean.
"Well complaining about feminism makes me sound like some kind of CHUD..."
That's a you problem. In the past, complaining about the Church when it was synonymous with power would've made you a "pagan" or an "unbeliever." And before the T in LGBT got traction, it was just "anti-feminist" for a biological man to argue with a woman, giving them infinite instant Ls, even if they did identify as a woman. It starts somewhere.
Call it like it is and just realize radical feminism is rotten from the top windows of the attic to the foundations.

Changes in Wordgirl: Exploration
Let's talk about some of the changes our project makes to the original show's timeline. Since Wordgirl: Exploration takes place when Becky/Wordgirl is 12 while she's 10/11 in the show, it's safe to assume that most if not all of the show's events are canon to Exploration. However! We're a reboot not a continuation, which means there are things we've changed either to fit the narrative we want to tell or because we didn't like how something was portrayed in the show (Go Gadget Go is non-canon).
Everything listed here are changes we can't organically explain in our episodes, so you might see hints of what's in store for Wordgirl: Exploration. There's also some changes missing on purpose because we can fit them into our episodes.
Character Changes
Huggy got an upgrade from the show. He's got a prehensile tail now that he can use during fights (he's a monkey after all), is capable of changing color (excellent for sneaking up on villains), and has limited shapeshifting. He can't do much with his shapeshifting, just enough to make him look different than his secret identity or give him a small advantage during fights. Separate from his shapeshifting, Huggy is able to unhinge his jaw like a snake to consume massive amounts of food. It's definitely the ability Becky finds the most disturbing but boy has it really helped in a lot of fights against the food based villains. We just felt it was a little unfair that he didn't get any powers when he's just as alien. He still got the short end of the stick compared to Wordgirl, but they both work with his powerset as best they can.
Wordgirl and Kid Math have more alien traits because they deserve it <3 No one really questions Becky's less human traits. When you've got Chuck and his brother running around, a 12 yo girl with fangs and weird eyes isn't anything noteworthy. Kid Math's cape being traded for wings does mean that he doesn't fly like Wordgirl anymore. He buzzes around like a giant math obsessed dragonfly while Wordgirl treats gravity as an option.
It's an extremely minor thing but we took away Chuck's height. In the show he towers over almost all the civilians. We like short Chuck better, so he's only 5'6" now.
Sally is Afro-Latina and therefore has taught Becky and TJ Spanish. Becky is a natural, and since Ms. Question is also Afro-Latina, they both enjoy having someone they can talk to.
Squeaky is a woman now. We support women's wrongs <3. Also consequently Dr. Two-Brains is non-binary now as he's a fusion between a cis female mouse and a cis male human.
Story Changes
Okay, let's talk Kid Math for a second. In the show, Kid Math shows up at the start of season 7 and quickly gets established as an overeager but inexperienced superhero who's got a lot to learn about being a hero on Earth. They even seem to set it up as Wordgirl taking him under her wing and teaching him all she knows, which would have really shook up the status quo. Except they didn't. He's only been a background character ever since. Which is wild! This kid is just running around! He could have helped with Rhyme and Reason but he didn't! So we're changing how long he's been on Earth. In Exploration, Kid Math made his debut only a week ago. He's still very new in the public eye and Wordgirl is keeping him under close watch. As a result, he's going to be showing up in quite a few episodes.
Becky never tried to tell her dad and TJ she was Wordgirl. Honestly, her telling them did nothing for the show other than tell the audience her backstory. So in Exploration she has yet to tell her family and has made no attempt in the past.

Sadie Nelson's summer is off to an awful start.
Her first year in high school has been a disaster, with failed classes and more detentions than she'd care to admit. With summer school the only thing to look forward to, she doesn't think it can get worse - until her parents sit down and tell her they're getting a divorce. The news comes as a devastating kind of relief. She can't wait for the fighting to come to an end, even if it means split holidays.
So when her parents send her off to her aunt's house in Newfoundland for the rest of the summer, she figures things can't get much worse. Her Aunt Claire is content to leave her alone while she works on her art, and Sadie spends most of her days by the seaside, wandering or drawing boats, and lost in thought.
When she finds a strange girl on an abandoned cove, far from town, Sadie is quick to try and make her first friend in St. Brenden's Bay. But her new friend is stranger than she realizes - and what does her Aunt have to do with her appearance?
empyrean eclipse;
Dr. Hazel Hartley-Pryce is what most people refer to as a genius. The leading cybioengineer in the paradisaical city of New Eden, she’s revolutionizing the very concept of prosthetics. At least, that’s her day job. Most of the time, she’s just Zelle Pryce, awkward and unknown heir of an oil empire trying to make up for her family’s myriad sins.
Lark Donaghue lost their arm and their memory in an accident five years ago — or, at least, they think it was an accident. Ever since, they’ve been doing their best to recover in both mind and body. As one of the recipients of the Hartley-Zimmer prosthesis, they spend most of their time in the labs having their new arm calibrated, or in physical therapy, getting used to having a left arm for the first time.
When they bump into each other in the hospital café, Zelle has no idea that Lark is one of her test subjects. Likewise, Lark doesn’t associate the cute young doctor he meets with Dr. H. Hartley, the mysterious billionaire scientist who invented their prosthesis. Each are determined to keep their past a secret, eager to have something normal in their lives.
But when Zelle is attacked, everything changes. The mystery behind Lark’s amnesia might finally be solved — but at what cost?
wrong witch;
born into a family of witches, morgan has never shown a drop of magical power - no matter how much his mothers insist he has the inherent potential. he’s ready to give up on magic altogether, when, on his seventeenth birthday, he wakes up covered in blood, having sleepwalked into the nearby woods. suddenly, he has more power than he knows what to do with, and all of his dreams are coming true - but at what cost?
and why?
gabriel graves is a warlock, having traded his eternal soul for magic. when his family moves from bustling new york city to a small town in the midwest, he’s taken from his circle of power — his true family — and left alone. the citizens of ashborough, mi, are perfectly normal, and perfectly boring.
except, of course, for the mysterious delacroix family.
morgan and gabriel’s lives collide in the ashborough woods, as morgan seeks to discover the source of his newfound powers, and gabriel searches for a place to call his own.

Game idea: A Mass Effect-style Sci Fi RPG where your quests are judged on a binary Paragon/Renegade (or similar) scheme and control a similar kind of autonomous galactic diplomat/enforcer kind of protagonist. Paragon rewards give you more credits, and -really- disruptive quest outcomes can drop your credits. After each mission you also have to pay to repair your gear and the like.
This goes on for a while, but some results are weird outliers. Forgiving certain enemies is met with evil alignment values, some really ruthless activities are met with good points. But, your equipment gets better, and you rise in power.
Eventually you figure out this alignment system is fully in-universe, and you are being judged on how well you serve the interests of your organization at every corner. You are rewarded with more credits if you pick the orderly option because they want to gamify obedience and support of their causes into you.
In the second act, you have the option to turn away and go rogue. Doing this overly will lose you all your credits and your resources will slowly dwindle; the game suddenly has a focus on managing this. You have to get repairs by going up to people and trading and otherwise circumventing the game systems entirely.

Gentlemen, Rustics, Accents, and Imperialism
Reflecting on binary oppositions in The Patriot, I'm surprised (and a little embarrassed) that I haven't discussed one of the more obvious ones: foreigner/native. Oh, this is a thorny one! For the sake of what I'm hoping and praying will be brevity, for once, I'm going to focus on how this distinction is portrayed through characters' accents. It turns out that accent choices do a lot of heavy lifting in this film to conceal historical truths, particularly those that paint South Carolina Patriots in an unflattering light.
The first accent to cover is the most often heard foreign one, and it is, almost, one accent. Although the 18th century British Army was full of men who joined to escape a life of poverty or at least found it be a better option for supporting their families than the professions available at home, we never hear them. There are no Cockney redcoats in this film. The accent we do hear often--from Cornwallis, O'Hara and Tavington--belongs to the landed gentry. The only British character who does not share it is the wounded private Tavington interviews after Martin's massacre in the woods, who is also the only speaking British soldier below the rank of captain. By comparison, the Americans have different accents and are represented by people of different classes, upholding a distinction between the oppressed, poor native-born population and an oppressive, wealthy foreign one that has little basis in historical reality.
While the difference in class and accent for Americans is more accurate, the accents themselves are not. The one belonging to Martin and his children, Charlotte Selton, the Howards, and James Wilkins is recognizably American but not distinctly Southern. More likely, Colonists would have had accents reminiscent of their, or their parents', country of origin (something AMC's Turn: Washington's Spies captures far more effectively than The Patriot). The development of distinct, regional accents takes generations. Interestingly, the more rustic characters, the ones we first meet when Martin and Villeneuve recruit at the rowdy tavern, do have clear, modern Southern accents. I'll return to this later, but for now I wonder why there has been time for some South Carolinians to develop a thick backwoods Southern accent but not for others to develop the kind of genteel Southern drawl spoken by such specimens as the Epps in Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave. In this respect, Charlotte and Tavington are near perfect opposites. He has lost the land and wealth that were his birthright but kept his accent; she lacks the accent but has the plantation full of inherited slaves.
It also bears mentioning that all the Black characters, enslaved and free, have American accents even though the transatlantic slave trade was still in full force and Charleston harbor was the busiest slave port in the colonies. Occam and Martin's workers could just as easily have had African accents, but perhaps that would too readily remind the audience that they did not simply co-exist with White South Carolinians but had, or been born to parents who had, been kidnapped from another continent and brought to the colony against their will.
Another accent The Patriot wholly silences is, of course, Cherokee. Indeed, no Cherokee person speaks in the film at all even though fighting them is a significant part of Martin and other characters' backstories. Part of the reason characters like Rollins and Billings do have recognizably Southern accents is likely deference to the stereotype that Southerners are more "rustic" than Americans from other regions, but there is something even darker at play. Since regional accents take so long to develop, that the characters Martin fought the Cherokees alongside have one indicates that their families have also inhabited this land for a very long time. The narrative presents them as South Carolina natives at the expense of the actual Native people they forced to give up land they'd inhabited for centuries even as they rebelled against oppression at the hands of British "foreigners."
That there are two scenes featuring Cherokees filmed but not included in the final cut--a flashback to Fort Wilderness at the beginning and a a brief, unheard exchange between Tavington and Cherokee scouts--illustrates the difficulty of fully erasing Native people from the history of place in which they played such a significant role. Similarly, we see many Black people on Charlotte's plantation and in the sea island community to which she and Martin's children escape, but almost all of them are in non-speaking roles. The Patriot asks us to sympathize with South Carolinian Patriots for their oppression under British rule but ignore their participation in the "ugly business" of imperialism through African slavery and Native genocide. The story may not be able to erase people without whom colonial South Carolina would be wholly unrecognizable, but it can certainly silence them.

It’s so important to see people acknowledging publicly the spectrum of gender. Labels are so tricky, aren’t they? On the one hand, growing up without the advent of gender labels outside of the binary, I spent a long time ignoring parts of myself, or thinking that something was wrong with me bc I didn’t see anyone like me in the world. I tried to fit into the boxes that weren’t my shape.
That’s the wonderful thing about label expansion - there are options. There is the notion that something exists outside of what has been widely acknowledged. That gives people the creative room to look for words to define what they experience and by giving it a name, give it a voice and a reality. That is amazing.
When I was in high school, there was a little quip that went around my GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) - “straight people are bi, bi people are gay, gay people are right”. In the 90s, that was forward thinking. But as someone who was attracted to a broad spectrum of people, even as my friends grinned and said it as a matter of solidarity and lifting up, I felt sidelined. I’d had crushes on men, women, and androgynous people since I’d been a kid. It wasn’t a matter of disregarding their genders or not seeing them, it wasn’t what has come to be known as ‘demi’, it was just a wider selection of specific things that appealed to me. But even among the people who were supposedly my support network, I wasn’t quite allowed to fit. I wasn’t gay enough or straight enough. I wasn’t butch (except when I was) and I wasn’t femme (except when I was). I was ‘the guy in the relationship’, but I wasn’t allowed to be the guy in the rest of my life.
When ‘bi’ actually started gaining traction and acknowledgement, that was exciting for me. Genuinely exciting. It felt like someone turning to me and saying ‘yes, you do actually belong; yes, we see you’. And even that, from the beginning, wasn’t quite right, but you work with what you have. When the corsets of gender identity started to loosen, I actually felt my fingers tingle. It was like my blood was actually reaching all the parts of me, like I was breathing for the first time. It was a heady experience, like being oxygen drunk. But it was internal. I wasn’t a butterfly trying to break out of a chrysalis. I still didn’t quite fit. I didn’t want to change my body; even if it and I weren’t always in perfect alignment, we got along okay for the most part. I wasn’t trans, but I knew what it was like to look in the mirror and stare at parts of yourself wondering why you couldn’t just trade them out like clothes. I told my cycling gender dysphoria- just as I had told myself with my outside the box sexuality - that as long as I was being authentic to who I was, then it didn’t matter what people thought when they saw me or how they chose to understand who I was. And at that time, I was an industry and a culture where there were certain expectations that needed to be met for any measure of success. Only there’s only so much authentic you can be, when just by existing within a culture, you’re being shaped by it.
If there had been words then as there are now, maybe it would have been different for me. I don’t know. If there had been options on forms for ‘non-binary’ instead of ‘male’ and ‘female’, maybe I would have found a voice above a whisper and a way of living my life off the page. But there wasn’t and I’ve never pretended to be brave, so instead I wrote about people and worlds where it was safe to be as I felt. I lived vicariously through language- which is ironic, I suppose, since part of the reason I did was because language was failing me in my reality.
Which leads me to the frustrating part of label expansion: as we create these words to acknowledge individual experiences, we are also trying to box people in again. We redefine new words, trying to ‘get them right’. ‘Bi’ was set to the side for not including non-binary and trans-genders, to be replaced by ‘pan’ which was supposed to create inclusivity. But instead, it’s been redefined now to mean that pan people ‘don’t see gender’ while ‘omni’ people do. Now, I feel like we’re getting into the weeds a bit. Maybe I’m tired of having to trade out my name tags. 😅 Because there’s labeling to give people a voice and then there’s labeling to separate people, and I feel like we’re starting to tip into that ‘because we’re different’ arena instead of ‘because we’re the same’.
People love. That’s the message, isn’t it? People love different people in different ways. People love themselves in different ways. People experience the world in different ways, see from different perspectives, and create a kaleidoscopic reality where beautiful fractals occur in the spaces between.
Anywho. That’s my little Pride thinkabout (like a walkabout in my brain). Be well. Be kind. Happy Pride.
The makes me so happy. It's never to late to come out or express your identity.

Fugitive FX Fraudster Accuses Israeli Lawyers of 100m Euro BTC Theft
Jacques Vygodatsky was evading a German warrant and fleeing to Latin America.
The Belgian-Israeli accused Guy Yuval and Uri Arad of stealing 100m euros worth of Bitcoin.
A lawsuit filed over the weekend has revealed a sordid web of deceit involving alleged large-scale embezzlement, FX, Crypto and Binary fraud, and the theft of over 100 million euros worth of Bitcoin.
As reported in local Israeli media, lawyers Guy Yuval and Uri Arad have been accused of stealing a total of 2300 Bitcoins valued at 105 million euros from Jacques Henry Vygodatsky, a Belgian-Israeli, who himself was evading European authorities for his alleged part in industrial-scale binary options and forex Forex Foreign exchange or forex is the act of converting one nation’s currency into another nation’s currency (that possesses a different currency); for example, the converting of British Pounds ... Read this Term frauds.
Although not confirmed as related Finance Magnates reported earlier this week of a number of warrants issued by German authorities and at least one arrest made as the global crackdown on trading scammers continues to hot up. Over the last 18 months, Israeli and German authorities have worked together to arrest dozens of Israelis suspected of being involved in financial trading scams.
The story, as per the indictment, starts in March 2021with Vygodatsky, through middleman Mickey Hefez agreeing with lawyers Yuval and Arad to transfer a sum of Bitcoin which the lawyers would convert into euros returned to Vygodatsky minus a commission. The following month in Bulgaria, Avi Itzkovich, an associate of Vygodatsky, was arrested on behalf of the German authorities who also issued a warrant for Vygodatsky.
Scamming the Scammer?
With an arrest warrant issued for Vygodatsky, according to the lawsuit, he "hastily turned to lawyers Yuval and Arad to consult with them on how he should proceed." What is then claimed to have followed can only be described as something out of a Netflix drama or a Hollywood film.
According to Vygodatsky, the lawyers came up with an evasion plan, which they warned if not followed would see Vygodatsky face a lengthy German prison sentence. Having been ordered to sever all ties with family and friends, Vygodatsky handed over his ID, passport and documents to the lawyers to be destroyed.
With his email servers wiped, Vygodatsky was ordered to break all contact with his lawyer of last decade Moshe Strogano, who had previously represented the plaintiff in all his private matters. The plan now was to smuggle Vygodatsky, using a fake passport supplied by Yuval and Arad to Latin America, where the lawyers claimed to have good connections.
Having left Bulgaria for Greece and then on to Portugal, all contact between Vygodatsky and Yuval and Arad was conducted through third parties and non-traceable disposable mobile phones. By now, Vygodatsky had entrusted his digital wallet and password to Yuval and Arad, who whilst financing Vygodatsky's Portuguese accommodation, refused to have any direct contact with him.
Whilst 'on the run' for a number of months and in financial difficulty, Vygodatsky tried requesting the promised funds from Yuval and Arad but was continually blanked. The lawsuit then claims that "Lawyers Yuval and Arad refused his demands and began to avoid the plaintiff's inquiries to them while threatening him that if he tries to contact them in order to ask for his money and bitcoins, they will contact the authorities in Germany and hand over his property and money to them."
More Twists Than a Chubby Checker Concert
Vygodatsky now suspicious of being scammed himself turned to his previous lawyer Moshe Strogano, who advised Vygodatsky to hand himself over to German authorities. Strogano is now representing Vygodatsky who is seeking a plea bargain in which most of the charges will be dropped and investors defrauded by Vygodatsky would be financially recompensed.
The drama continued with the lawsuit alleging that Yuval and Arad then embarked upon a smear campaign against Moshe Strogano in which fictitious and slanderous articles were published linking Strogano to FX fraud and helping Vygodatsky evade arrest.
Yuval issued a statement strenuously denying the charges:
"This is a fictional intimidation lawsuit, filed by Jacques Vygodatsky, a crook and international criminal who swindled thousands of innocent victims out of hundreds of millions of euros.
"He came to us in order to receive financial services and presented himself as an international businessman. After several months it became clear to us that he belongs to a criminal organization, and that his funds are funds that were stolen from a forex scam.
Yuval claims to have then reported Vygodatsky to the German authorities, saying:
"When we reported, at the request of the authorities in Germany, who are working against him, about his funds in huge sums kept in a bank account in Singapore, which he tried to hide from the thousands of victims he defrauded, he turned us into his enemies and persecutes us in every possible way."
In the statement, Yuval claims that Vygodatsky sent criminals to intimidate him:
"Vygodatsky even sent gangs of criminals to our home in the dead of night, and to our office during office hours, in order to discourage us from cooperating in the criminal and civil proceedings against him in Germany. These criminals were filmed and photographed and even arrested by the police after we filed complaints.
"After the intimidation through criminals failed, Vygodatsky moved to the next stage, which is an attempt to discredit us or delegitimize us, with a lawsuit that is entirely an act of fraud, which of course will be rejected. We will not be deterred and will continue to cooperate with the authorities in Germany so that he pays for his actions towards the thousands of victims."
Defendant Mickey Hefez dismissed the lawsuit as "nonsense" whilst a statement has yet to be made by Arad.
Finance Magnates will update the story when more details emerge or when the purchase of the film rights to this saga has been announced.
