Allright, why’s Jigen close to throwing hands with Zeni?
Tumblr media
BOY my friends, strap in, your in for a RIIDEEE
ok first a recap!
The Lavender Jacket Series is basically my own PT7, includes lore from Lupin 0 (kiddo), Koike and is basically just a lil self indulgent thing that popped into my head and I’ve been having fun with. It’s split into two parts, in Part One An unexpected near fatal shooting leaves questions unanswered and the gang on edge after one of their own is the victim of an unsuspecting hit. Decades old grudges are unearthed, friends become enemies, enemies become friends and a certain Gunman takes it upon himself to go into crisis management and clean up the mess left behind.
Now on to why Jigen punched or came close to punching Zenigata
im putting this under a read more cause this shits gonna get looonnnggg
Basically the Zeni/Jigen thing is a side plot
What started the mess: When Zenigata received intel about Lupin and finds out about the shooting and that Lupin was in the hospital, Zenigata had arrived to arrest him and upon finding out he was unconscious, still handcuffed him to the bed and needless to say it pissed Jigen off and the two got into a argument about it that nearly came to physical blows because Jigen couldn’t believe that Zenigata would do that knowing that Lupin isn’t even in the condition to wake up let alone *sit up* with a enough energy to run away.
Zenigata claims it was just him doing his job, and that Jigen was considered *lucky* he had the decency to not handcuff him as well when he basically saved him the night before from the local police after Jigen was assaulted.
Because basically what happened is the same people who went after Lupin and Jigen, went after Zenigata and Yata and Zenigata landed in the same hospital as Lupin.
When Jigen found out, he decided *the enemy of my enemy is my friend* and made a deal with Zenigata that if Zenigata would allow Lupin to be uncuffed that he would help him with the case since he also had a bone to pick with the people who hurt Lupin.
Zenigata agreed but only on his side of the condition that if Jigen helped him with the case that whenever he asked for it, Jigen would aid him in the future, knowing the man kept promises like that.
Zenigata also wanted to help Jigen cause kinda scares him when Lupin isn’t around since Lupin albeit very surprising is the only thing keeping Jigen on a leash
Cause you see no matter what they were. No matter what relationship Zenigata had with Lupin, whether it be sworn enemies or acquaintances or drinking buddies or whatever the hell this whole cat and mouse thing had grown into over the years, he knew the loyalty did not spread to Jigen the same way.
Lupin may have been out of commission for the time being but that did not mean Jigen would just automatically turn his loyalty over to him just because Zenigata had offered to help.
Now ON TO THE REAL REASON WHY JIGEN NEARLY SOCKED ZENI COLD
Now the reason as to WHY Jigen nearly punched Zeni is actually based around these two screenshots
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They basically perfectly depict why Jigens so pissed, not only with Zenigata, but with the whole cuffing shit
publicity
Basically the idea is is after lupins “incident”, Jigen tried his best to keep as much of it on the down low as possible.
Hoping that whoever hurt Lupin would think he was dead in order to iron out some of the issues that came with it, like retaliation or another attempt on his life while he was unable to protect himself.
The problem is however is Zenigata found out about it somehow, either he was tipped off by someone or something, Jigen doesn’t know. But it’s because of that, that it’s not long before not only the police but the press show up as well. Which means publicity
Which also means Jigens attempts at keeping people from knowing Lupin was alive are dashed and fruitless and now he has to deal this new issue
What pissed *Jigen* off even more is that Zenigata brushed the danger off, claiming that the ICPO would protect Lupin while also *handcuffing* Lupin to the hospital bed, which Jigen found to be a big no no because if something happened, it would put Lupin in danger.
Cut to the scene with him on the roof that happens just a few moments before Jigens discovery of Zenigata’s actions, Jigens ranting and raving on the roof above the police cruisers and reporters, about three seconds from loosing his temper, calling them all *Goddamn vultures* looking to cash in on the story
He KNOWS they don’t know what’s truly going on, especially Zenigata, but their getting in the way of him keeping Lupin safe and needless to say he’s not happy
It also doesn’t help that Zenigata at the moment is being *ridiculously* stubborn, refusing to take Jigens words into consideration when he tells Zenigata that he *knows* how bad the people who might come after them because of this truly are and that lupins in more danger with the cops here then he was without them
The only time Zenigata *actually* listens is the night after Jigen snuck in to the hospital to see Lupin late one night and  discovered all the cops that Zenigata had posted outside the hospital as well as the reporters were gone, and finds Lupin unprotected having later finding out that because of the news, Lupins attempted killers find out they were indeed still alive and NYPD officers on the assassins payroll cleared out everyone too make room for the assassination attempt, having paid off a police chief to basically have his men “abandon their post” and leave Lupin unattended, and had Jigen not decided to go up that night, the attempt would have been made and the police would quietly “clean up the mess” and cover up what actually happened that night
However, Jigen ends up scaring off the guys sent to kill Lupin, but in the process is assaulted by the paid off police chief who punches him in the face nearly breaking his jaw.
Jigen passes out shortly after but not before Zenigata, who arrives just in time to “save Jigen”, claiming that the local police had no authority to arrest him as he was ICPO territory, cuffs him himself and throws him in the back of his cruiser, where Jigen finally passes out, only to wake up the next morning with a large shiner on his jaw.
And the funny thing is is despit all this, Jigen still turns out to be right
If Lupin didn’t need to be where he is he *wouldn’t be there*
There are many ways to stay hidden and lie low
But as much as it hurts jigen too admit the hospital is where he needs to be, Jigen can’t take care of him like he needs to be and it bothers him but the least he can do is keep a eye on him
Except now his job is 200% harder because of some obsessed cop who refuses to listen until it’s too late, making him stuck in a situation he hates because it makes it tougher to protect the one he's hellbent on protecting

⭐ | COMMISSION VI : Hearth of the Pranks (Gone HORRIBLY Wrong)
Tumblr media
It was the dead of night when Kunimitsu had the idea of taking this commission, and considering their client didn't bother with the details of what prank they want to enact on the guards, he had a couple in mind.
Although... Knowing him, Navina contemplated on letting him run wild, and especially his mean streak.
"So, you're telling me to basically cause a commotion in the main area of the city... And you're going to do what?"
See, Kuni's idea of a prank is basically to cause a riot of sorts to the guards. It wasn't as though they never had to deal with a few attacks here and there, he reasoned...
... but they know him better. After all, this wasn't Sumeru— and they sure as hell know that causing THAT would be a crime.
"What?" The wanderer grinned, seemingly confident in his decision. "I'm just going to give them a little trouble— not like I'm going to send literal ruin guards on them, dumbass."
"Yes, I'm aware of that," the informant said, their lips pursed to a frown. "But this is not Sumeru OR Mondstadt, Kuni! And unlike you, I wouldn't want to be put in trial for breaking the law!"
"Relax, you're worrying too much on the small details," he said, shushing them before blowing a raspberry to them. "Just cause some commotion outside, and I'll take care of the rest. It's not as though you can't scare a few guards, can you?"
"..."
A sigh left them.
"... Fine. However, you owe me one after I'm done!"
Tumblr media
At exactly 2 in the morning, the guards patrolling around the premises of Fontaine began to hear something at the lower areas. It was hard to tell at first, as the sounds coming out of it was... Vaguely humane.
The melusines patrolling paused, their ears twitching as they began to listen it. After a while, one of them looked at the other in concern.
"It sounds like someone's in trouble..."
"Hm... That, or it could just be some monsters lurking in the alleyways."
"Perhaps. However, we should still check and see what it is. We wouldn't wish for the city to awaken to such troubles later."
...
Then, they could hear it.
The faint sound of a voice echoing around the empty town, the city that has fallen to slumber... With the melusines only being greeted with the sound of sobbing.
"Just how long... How long can I take it...?"
It was hard to discern what the voice reminded the melusines, but it sounded so... Far from one gender. It was a mix of many, and for them, it scared them.
Still, the melusines kept a straight face and decided to investigate the sound— the sobbing was enough to catch their attention, and the wind was urging them to investigate.
It was almost like the chill they feel from their own fur permeated through them— and it made things harder for them to focus.
Step after step, they had the other guards with them as well for the sake of numbers... In the case it was a criminal on the loose, they'd have the opportunity to apprehend them.
However, as they got close enough to the source, some of them stopped to let out a gasp.
The wind grew harsh, but when they were close enough, it died down.
And slowly, the melusines saw the figure's head turn, and—
—What followed after were screams.
Tumblr media
The morning after, Kunimitsu took Navina out to their favorite cafe to get their reward. Of course, he had informed the commissioner beforehand and he knew that he was far enough to not hear or know what they've done. Still, he did handed them their reward.
As for Navina, however...
"Ugh, imagine if the melusines found out about it being me..."
"Pfft, you'll be fine. I told you it'll work."
"It'll work, my ass— you didn't do shit but watch as they screamed and ran off to archon knows where!"
"And? A little scare won't hurt them."
Kunimitsu laughs at the sight of the informant, who scoffs and smacks his arm.
"I hate you, asshole," they grumbled, biting onto the food he bought them. "You better sleep with one eye open later."
"Or what? Are you going to try and scare me as well?" He taunted, making them more annoyed.
...
He won't admit it to their face, though, but the sight of the abomination worth nothing of words is a suitable... 'prank' for him.
What? It's not like they were told to make it harmless, so he wanted to try something that'll scar anyone that was patrolling that night.
And it seems as though it worked— much to his amusement, and to their annoyance.
"Nah, I'd drag your ass outside and scare you like how the melusines got scared of me."
Now it was his turn to cough and glare.
"You—!"
... actually, scratch that— maybe it was better for a prank to be specified as harmless. For the sake of Fontaine's future horror stories.

Rebranded - 10.7 - Briskly Woven Lies
Ayala and the animatronic put together a (hopefully) convincing lie to keep everyone safe. Sun and Moon are uneasy.
Word Count: 1,790
It should go without saying that Moon did not react well to being informed that Ayala’s friend, Logan, would be paying a surprise visit. Specifically after having been informed that Ayala had gotten hurt and that her car was going to be out of commission for a while.
No sooner had the words left her mouth, had Moon more or less flown into a state of rage. Those pointed narrow rays which had emerged briefly during the morning confrontation, emerged once more. Thus establishing that his security protocols had become fully activated in response to his agitation.
Thankfully, he did not actually attack the woman again.
As upset as he was, he also knew that causing any additional damage would be liable to get them in trouble.
Though, Sun still found himself standing between his brother and the equally upset Ayala, just to be safe. He naturally wanted to try and mediate the situation.
“H-how much time do we have?!...” Sun blurted out, staring at Ayala with concerned eyes as she stood safely on the other side of the kitchen counter. During Moon’s little fit, she had tactfully put physical barriers between herself and him.
Her expression was a mix of unease and agitation.
“An hour or two...” Ayala responded, speaking surprisingly quietly, almost uncertainly. Her answer did not appeal to Moon, who growled rather loudly.
“Will he be here in an hour, or in two?!” Moon questioned, clearly wanting to have a proper estimate on how much time the three of them had to sort themselves out. How much time they had before an additional prying mind showed up to question the situation. They hadn’t yet had time to put together some sort of story - at least not one which would casually explain away the woman’s injuries.
“I don’t know!” Ayala retorted, waving her arm in the air beside her as a show of emphasis. “It depends on a few factors! Like traffic! Or whether or not he speeds...” She added, somewhat elaborating on what she meant.
Not that the animatronics could fully understand what she meant. They more or less knew what traffic was.
Not so much what “speeding” meant, at least in this context.
“Why would you even bring us up?!” Moon questioned her again, somewhat attempting to put the blame on her for the situation. Not wanting to accept that this was probably an inevitable circumstance, considering all that had transpired as a result of the night before.
“Now, don’t you go snapping at me about this!” Ayala barked back, pointing a sort of accusatory finger in Moon’s direction. Despite being afraid, she was not going to sit idle and let the animatronic bully her in a fit of anger. “Need I remind you that this situation is just as much your fault as it is mine! If you hadn't attacked me last night, we wouldn’t be in this mess! My car wouldn’t all fucked up and neither would I!” She snapped, making it perfectly clear that Moon was not blameless in the situation.
The only reason that Logan felt the need to rush out was because she was hurt. She knew that. She also knew that there had basically been no choice but to tell him that she was injured. One way or another she would have had to come clean about it.
Not that Moon seemed accepting of this fact at all, as was noted by his obvious preparation to spit out a retort. He may very well have been about to remind her to watch her language. However, he was quickly silenced by his sibling.
All Sun needed to do was motion with his hand for Moon to be quiet, and the hostile animatronic obeyed.
“Look! N-none of th-at is important right now! What are we going to t-tell your friend?! Does he know we’re here?!” Sun stepped in with questions of his own. Questions meant to steer the conversation back on track. Ultimately, it didn’t matter how they had come to this point. What mattered was making sure that they regained some control of the situation in order to assure everyone’s safety.
His intervention seemed to get through to Ayala, at least. She whined a bit to herself, rubbing her eyes with her injured hand.
“Yes, he knows you’re here. I told him that you were delivered while I was away, and that I’d forgotten about it. I didn’t go into detail but I told him I was hurt, that my car was fucked, and I’d need some help getting a replacement.” Ayala explained, pretty much summarizing to the animatronics what she had told Logan. Which had been a purposefully vague explanation, all things considered.
Still, her words only coaxed a worried noise out of Sun.
“Does he... Does he know that Moony...?” Sun began to ask if she had mentioned that she was hurt because of Moon or not, but he trailed off before completing the sentence. Surprisingly not because of a voice box malfunction, but because he was simply afraid to ask.
Ayala sighed, shaking her head.
“No. I told him that I had an accident. I didn’t give any specifics as to how.” Ayala replied, glancing between Sun and Moon. She almost seemed worried that they wouldn’t believe her.
Then her eyes appeared to focus on something entirely unrelated to them, though it was hard to tell. She wasn’t exactly making eye contact with either of them, but each brother seemed to believe that she had simply locked eyes with the other. Her eyes became furrowed, as if in concentration.
Still, her response did relieve Sun, at least somewhat. It was good that she hadn’t said anything that established that she had been hurt by either of the animatronics.
“Sun. Grab that suitcase there.” Ayala suddenly instructed, pointing to a specific suitcase. Sun, for what it was worth, immediately did as she requested - though he was very clearly confused. “Good. Now take it to the top of the stairs. Then push it down.” She added, which only further confused the animatronic.
“Er... Why?...” Sun inquired, absolutely befuddled by the sudden change in focus.
“I just put together a story that should explain how I got hurt. But we need to make it look real.” Ayala explained, her tone calmer now but incredibly stern.
While this still left Sun a bit confused, he did as he was told. He carried the suitcase up to the top of the stairs, put it down, then pushed it over the edge of the first step.
The large plastic object went toppling down, snapping open in the process and spilling its contents everywhere. The plastic did not crack, but dented somewhat in a few places as it fell.
Now, Moon seemed more confused than irritated. What would making more of a mess do to be of help?
Without saying a word, Ayala began to gather all of the spilt objects to put them back inside of the now very broken suitcase.
“... Ayala?...” Sun called out to the woman quietly, timidly, even. He was unsure as to what she was doing. Unsure as to whether or not he needed to help her with what she was doing.
The woman continued to clean up the abruptly made mess.
“Okay. This is the story.” Ayala uttered, continuing to sort of just haphazardly shove all of her belongings back into the suitcase. “You two were delivered while I was out of town. The company that sent you was able to get you inside with my help.” She gathers up all of the larger items. Clothes, mostly, and she begins to cram them into the empty container. “I came home. I was tired. I forgot that you two were here waiting for me. I got my luggage out of the car last night. I was bringing this suitcase upstairs, when you two came out of the first room to greet me. I freaked out for a second, and wound up falling down the stairs with the suitcase. When I fell, I cut my hand on the suitcase, banged up my arm, and dislocated my shoulder.” She begins to collect other random items off of the floor. A hairbrush. A toothbrush. Sanitary products. Anything within immediate reach.
All the while she ignores the pain in her shoulder.
“You two brought me to bed and looked after me all night, unaware of the fact that I’d forgotten to shut my car door after I’d brought my groceries inside. Moon never attacked me. It was all an accident.” She gets everything back into the suitcase, and attempts to close it. Due to the suitcase being broken, it will not stay closed. The lid will not latch. So the lid pops back open. She leaves it alone at that point. “I woke up this morning and tried to leave to go to the hospital. That’s when I discovered my car torn up by a raccoon, and that I couldn’t drive it. After that, I went back inside to take a shower to try and calm down. That’s when I checked my phone, saw all the missed calls, and responded to Logan.” She explained, fully laying out every detail that she could think of. Because she had to be specific. All three of them needed to be able to tell the same story. If they could just keep things concise, then they could probably convince Logan that it was the truth.
“... Do you think that story will work?” Sun questioned hesitantly. He didn’t like the idea of having to lie, but he also understood that it would be better than telling the truth.
As Ayala had said this morning, most people would not be so forgiving of them if they had been the ones attacked. Ergo, if Logan was so protective of her, then he probably would not be so forgiving of Moon for attacking her.
Which would lead to all sorts of problems.
“Look. It's the best story I can come up with. Sooner or later Logan is gonna show up. No matter what, I’m hurt. I can’t guarantee he’ll buy it. But if I can just get him to accept it, that’ll be our best bet.” Ayala replied, attempting to calm down Sun while also remaining brutally honest.
Logan might not believe the story at all. But if she was convincing enough, then she could at least get him to go along with it long enough for her to come up with a better explanation. One that he might believe.
Sun and Moon found themselves sharing uncertain glances. Neither of them could think of a better story. So they would just have to go along with whatever Ayala said to her friend.

I wish you luck with your endeavors with the Sleuths- all I'm gonna say is that I ended up simping for/ releating heavily to Y/N in that story-
Okay okay back to THE MEAT-
I don't wanna ruin any plot peices however, the idea that Y/N shows the boys how people are supposed to treat them seems like a important peice of the pie.
I can fully imagine this super shy Y/N learn about how shittily their current "handler" is being and get Sun to talk about said treatment giving him a safe space. Mind you maybe this comes up in casual conversation and Sun says it like it's no big deal.
Do you this this Y/N would be proactive in their want to help Sun/Moon? (Of course once they get to know them more cuz anxiety is fun)
*Deep breath* As an anxiety riddled idiot myself... I will absolutely bend over backwards and go out of my way and basically ruin myself to help someone in need I'm even slightly close to? It is a problem lol. BUT that said, I DO feel like this YN would be an absolute bleeding heart, and while they aren't really 'well off' themself, especially if we go the artist route (ordering out that much just for a chance to talk to this dude would hurt their wallet -oh god is this a crush or just the crippling loneliness theyd didn't realize they had???-) learning even a bit about how they're doing this job for some other human thats basically forcing them to or they'll kick them to the curb would light a blind rage inside. It would take a bit to actually manifest into action though. Don't wanna overstep or push too hard cause what if saying something about that would push them away from you? What if one day you said the wrong thing, and then the next time they made a delivery they just... Handed the food off and left. Like they're supposed to. What if they DIDN'T sit around and talk for fifteen-twenty minutes, or make sure that your delivery was the last stop so they could make some excuse to stay over for the night(Moons introduction pending???)
What if you lost your currently only local... friend? Are you friends? Becuase YOU thought something that's working for them is bad and YOU want them to change their whole life just cause YOU're reading too much into a situation? But talking more, realizing they're actually unhappy about it, cause this human is NOT their friend as much as they claim them to be(realizing they call them their friend to be polite but it always lacks the same bounce and energy as when he calls YOU friend, or sunshine, or any other cute little pet name he's picked out for the day).  It always falls flat. Like it's forced. Like the lines of his smile strain when he dips into discussing his personal life... No, that's too heartbreaking, for such a wonderful sweet PERSON like him to have to deal with. They have their freedom now, but they're still being treated like a tool? Not on your watch. You start making the effort of inviting him to stay over, and it starts to become second nature, even on days when you havent ordered food, to hear the soft knock on your front door, different patterns but always the same tone, that you have a visitor for the night. CUE MOON REVEAL. Because everyone loves a sudden power outage. He's WELL aware of how friendly you've been with Sun, casually commenting in the back of his mind, convinced there's something wrong with you and teasing constantly BUT he also is under the full belief that you're full of shit and using him somehow. There's an ulterior motive. There has to be. So far out of every human they've interacted with, you're the only one that treats them THIS different. Yeah some are nice enough, but the interactions are short and dismissive. The guy they work for now is a complete dick and insists Moon not be let out at all. He's scared of him, and for good reason. He's tired of being cooped up though, so when you and Sun were sitting in the livingroom, something queued up on the TV, you working on a commission on the couch with the golden animatronic crosslegged on the floor and leaning back against the seat next to you.. Well. Lights out, and time for an introduction. He had a hunch you were considering asking about him staying with you, but you still had no idea there was this other side to sun. And Moon is about to push ALL of the buttons that should make you abort. He's very good at that. He knows better than to kill you, though. Sun wouldn't forgive him. But if he can make you show off your true colors, how you'd handle Moon, if you'd make the same cruel decision to keep him locked away and missing his half of this new freedom, well. That's one thing he and Sun had talked about in the past. Something that always made him hesitate to mention Moon existing. He was scared Moon would be right. (tune in next time for 'how unhinged and dangerous is moon currently? who fucking knows!')

Wingless
Hello! So this was the fic I've been working on, and I just wanted to quickly say this is an AU-based fic (Kinda).
WARNING MANGA SPOILERS
So I understand what's going on in the manga, but I started this fic when Keigo was injured. so I wrote a fic about how Keigo and you would deal with him losing both his wings and a part of himself.
this story contains manga spoilers, as well as warnings of mental and physical abuse (kind of), hurt to comfort, mentions of Depression, blood, someone gets glass stuck in their hand, and therapy.
no pronouns are given to the reader. Word count: 7k
. . .
You practically ran through the hospital, not listening to the nurses and doctors as they told you to slow your pace. Your mind only screamed out for him, screaming for him to be alive, for him to just be okay. You could hear your heart thumping hard against your chest, tears spilling down your cheeks.
As you ran near his room, a doctor finally managed to stop you.
“Please, calm down! He’s in this room but I can not allow you in if you act like this. You will only stress my patient out more, and we have just managed to sedate him.” the doctor held out his hands as he spoke, trying to calm you.
Although, it clearly wasn’t working. Your eyes only shone more with brimming tears, your hands shook as the doctor spoke.
After a few minutes of you catching your breath and calming yourself down, the doctor told you that you were able to see him.
You felt as if your whole body was on fire as you walked through the doors to his hospital room.
The window that overlooked the city gave an impressive view (if it wasn’t in a hospital, you probably would have stopped and looked down at the city below). The bathroom, you could see, was on your left. There was even a vanity and a television in the room as well.
But you really didn’t have time to look around, your eyes were already focused on the man that lay on the hospital bed.
Machines were hooked up to him, tubes ran out of his skin every witch way. He was flipped on his stomach to accommodate his wings or lack thereof. Bandages covered almost every area you could see, the blood on them was minimal, yet they looked new, meaning they had been changed.
You rushed to his side, stopping only when the line of his IV almost collide with your foot.
“Keigo,” you said it so lightly you were afraid only you could even hear it.
But Keigo’s eyes shot open, looking up at you, “...Y/N?”
God, his voice was a raspy mess, it sounded as though it wasn’t even his.
If you could, you would break down right then and there. Crying over him, telling him you were there for him, that you would always be there for him, no matter the hardships he was sure to overcome. You wanted desperately to hold him, to whisper love-filled words to him, to wipe away the pain you knew he was feeling.
But you didn’t, you couldn’t.
You knew you had to be strong for him in that moment, and for all the moments yet to come. You knew that what was going to happen to you two would not be easy.
So you couldn’t cry, no matter how much you wanted to.
You lightly stroked his cheek, “I’m here Kei, I’m right here. I won't leave you.”
Silent tears ran down his face as he spoke, his voice cracking, “I’m sorry.”
----
After what happened with Dabi Toya, the commission tried their best to cover everything up, telling the public that Dabi had to be wrong. But the public eye was persistent.
The truth was out, there was nothing you or Keigo could do to stop it. Everyone knew about his name, his father, and what he had done to Twice, as well as the fact that he had lost to Dabi. You knew it would be hard for him to come back to that.
The media had always been a bit ruthless when it came to Keigo, but now, it was up by tenfold. They talked about how they believed that Keigo was not worthy of his hero title. A false hero they called him.
And Keigo?
Luckily, he didn’t hear very much of it. You made sure of that. You wanted him to rest, to let what had happened wash over him little by little, and you knew if he heard what the news had been saying about him, that he might never recover.
When Keigo was a bit more stable, he still rarely talked.
His eyes didn’t shine like they used to, his face, once so uplifting and beautiful, was marred with a long scar that he had on his face.
But no matter what, you stayed with him, no matter what, you would be by his side.
But seeing Keigo like this? It was unbearable.
He would only eat if you were there to persuade him, he would only look at you if you practically begged him to.
You knew it was a selfish want, you knew it was, but you wanted your Keigo back. You wanted the man who held you in his arms, telling you he would fly to the moon and back if it meant you would give him your love. You wanted the man that stopped at nothing to protect others, you wanted the man that smiled when the going got tough, you wanted Keigo.
But you had to accept that this was Keigo.
And you wouldn’t leave him, you couldn’t. He was always there for you when you needed him most, and you weren’t going to do the same.
After what had happened with Keigo, the commission thought it would be best to send him away, let the media storm die down, letting him also take time to heal his wings.
You had to fight them in order to come as well. At first, they told you that Hawks should just be concerned with getting his wings back and becoming “hero ready”.
You should have known. You knew, of course, that the HPSC was corrupted, but you didn’t think they were heartless. Yet, you were proven wrong.
You wished they could understand, you wished everyone could understand. Keigo was so loving and kind, you just wished people would understand that about him. What Keigo had to do to Twice… you knew he didn’t want to kill him, Keigo wasn’t like that. He didn’t take pleaser in violence, all he wanted was to see others happy.
And it made your blood boil that the higher up’s couldn’t understand.
You told them how Keigo needed someone to be his caretaker, and you would be the best candidate. You knew he wouldn’t object, you told them that you would work for free, seeing as he and you had been dating, as well as living together for the last few years.
Finally, with a lot of persuading, they agreed.
They sent you and Keigo to a remote location near the shores of Japan, seeing as they wanted Keigo to not remember the effects of the fight, and thought the best course of action was to send him so far out that he would have nothing to remind him of, “The Incident”.
The house was a small little thing, a lot smaller than what you and Keigo were used to at least.
It was close to the ocean, giving it a more country feeling rather than the city vibe you and Keigo used to live in. The smell of the ocean hit you full force when you two arrived, the salty, yet homie smell was a nice difference to the fullness of the air of the city.
The home had a total of seven rooms, all on the same floor.
The master bedroom had enough space, it fit a bed, a vanity, and a closet as well as a connection to the master bathroom. The walls were painted a low white, you wouldn’t call it cream however that was the closest rendition. The floors were all wood, you could feel the sand beneath your feet, you had a feeling the stuff would get everywhere.
There were three bathrooms, a guest room, a living room, and a kitchen.
The whole house honestly just felt...nice.
The floors felt grainy against your feet, but it felt weirdly cozy, kind of like how a beach house should feel. The carpeting was a bit musty for your taste, you had a feeling that would be your first project to do with the house. The couch was a bit too firm, you expected that, but still, it just needed to be worn in. The kitchen wasn’t big, but for two people, it would do.
You spent the first week moving in, all by yourself.
Keigo would only stay in bed, looking out the window, in some far-off world he was in.
You wanted to cry when you would walk into the master bedroom and see him upright on the mattress, not doing or saying anything, just staring, a shell of the man you once knew.
It made your heart clench though, normally, Keigo would always be the first to lend a helping hand, that was just his nature, to want to help. But this, this was something that broke you even more.
-----
The first few weeks were rough.
Not hard, just rough.
The only way you could even describe Keigo was just numb.
His eyes were sunken, his hair a tattered mess. His face was droopy, the once perfect-looking man now sat alone in bed, looking as though he was almost near death.
And his scar.
It served as a perfect reminder of what had happened, a symbol of the pain Keigo had gone through. You knew what he felt when he saw it, you knew what he was probably thinking when he looked in the mirror to have the long stripe of red and pink looking back at him.
Yet, you pretended not to notice.
He would barely say anything to you, choosing instead, to be silent.
For the first few days, it was hard to get him out of bed, hard for him to even eat anything.
On most days you found yourself sitting alone when you ate, going on walks by yourself on the sandy beach, watching TV all alone.
You missed him, it was hard not to. But you knew that this was hardest on Keigo, so of course, you let him have all the time he needed. Letting him sulk and wallow in his self-pity, letting his feelings shroud him. You felt as though you had to, he had every right to feel this way.
But it was hard.
It was hard having Keigo sleep in the master bedroom while you slept all alone in the guest, it was hard to be so silent in the house, it was hard living with someone who was basically a ghost.
One day though, you found him crying.
You quickly ran over to him, scared that he had somehow hurt himself. But he didn’t, nothing had happened to him.
But he sat straight up in his bed, shaking like he was cold, his hands wrapped around something you couldn’t see.
“Keigo, honey?” you asked carefully as you stepped into the room, “Is everything ok hun?”
But it was like he couldn’t even hear you, whatever he was holding, it certainly had his attention.
You walked slowly over to him, reaching out to him, like he was a wounded animal, “Keigo? What is it?”
Finally, you managed to see what it was.
It was a picture of him, of him with his beautiful red wings, smiling at the camera in his hero outfit, with one hand giving a thumbs up and the other around your waist.
In comparison to the picture, you could barely tell it was Keigo anymore. With his sunken eyes and hollow cheekbones, the scar is a stripe of change.
“Keigo I-” you took a deep breath, what were you supposed to even say? How could you even console him? How could you help ease his pain?
You couldn’t.
So you just held him, held him in your arms, trying to hide your tears from him, so he wouldn’t see you hurting as well.
. . .
But one day, when you were sitting on the porch of your borrowed home, watching the waves hit the sandy beach below, watching the sun as it hit the horizon.
It was bitter-sweet, you were all alone, watching the beautiful sight without anyone to share it with.
You sighed, contemplating whether or not to go back inside, but then... Keigo came.
It startled you, you weren’t expecting him to come off his bed, much less to see you.
He sat down in the nice little chair that was right next to you.
He didn’t say anything for a good few moments, but then, all of a sudden he spoke.
“The ocean looks really pretty, I like...I like being here with you.”
You were shocked, to say the least. Keigo had barely acknowledged your presence during this time, he hadn’t spoken to you at all during these few weeks. So to hear him say that...
You damn near cried.
You had been holding in your anxiousness and, overall, depression of not having Keigo back to his regular self. It was hard, that much was certain, but still, he was going through such a difficult time, you had to be there for him.
You quickly brushed the tear that had feel from your eye, “I-I like being here with you too.”
----
After that, things were...different.
Keigo was a bit more clingy, although, maybe you should say protective.
You would go out on your walks and would come home to him being upset, asking where you were, and fussing about you going out.
“Well, what if something happened? Just stay here.”
You asked the doctors about that, they told you how some patients latched on to certain things or people after a traumatic event, most of the time clinging desperately to what they felt was the only thing they had left.
They told you his newfound desire to be near you could be a sign of him getting worse, or it could be a sign he was getting better.
The doctor told you it was much more likely that Keigo needed something to hang on to, a sort of attachment. And again, they told you Keigo needed to see a therapist, he had so much trauma after the battle that you probably wouldn’t be able to handle it.
You knew that you should listen and that you probably couldn’t deal with Keigo all on your own. But still, you wanted to move at Keigo's pace, and you knew he needed time.
. . .
The first night you and Keigo spent in the same bed after what had happened was...strange.
Although you two lived in the same little beach house for a month now, you two haven't slept next to one another, you weren’t sure Keigo was ready just yet.
And yet, he was the one who asked you.
It happened on a normal day, while you were making dinner when Keigo spoke.
“Hey...Y/N..” you turned back to him, giving him your full attention, “Could we….could we try sleeping together? I know...I know it’s been some time but-”
“Yes!” you hastily accepted, “I mean...only if you want to.”
And so, you found yourself curled up next to Keigo, feeling him cuddled up to you, which was nice of course, but his body felt stiff like it didn’t want to be close to you.
The whole experience was… different. Normally, Keigo would wrap his arms around you, holding you against him, holding you securely and tightly, like you knew he wouldn’t let you go.
But this, this was different, but you should have expected that by now. You should have known that, now, it was so unlikely that you would ever see the old version of Keigo again.
And then it was there again, that slap of guilt, that pang of hurt at your own thought. How could you think that? Keigo was hurting, and you were upset that he was in pain?
You bit your lip, quietly willing yourself not to cry.
------
Keigo’s mood swings would happen randomly, with no merit at all.
One moment, he was blindly looking at the TV, the next he would be offering to help with dinner, then the next he was screaming at you to add more pepper to the onions.
When his first outburst happened, you blamed yourself.
You had left Keigo for what only seemed like a moment, going outside to feel the air on your face, wanting to just get out of the stuffy little cottage.
You were just watching from the porch when you heard it.
The sound of glass shattering.
You whipped your head to the sound, to find it coming from inside.
You rushed inside, running towards the kitchen.
“Keigo!” you cried out.
You stopped at the doorway to the kitchen, looking down at Keigo on the floor.
A glass of some sort had broken in Keigo’s hand, from what you could tell. It seemed like he had gotten some of it stuck in his hand, blood dripped onto the floor, sticking to the hardwood floor.
Keigo just stared, his eyes the most lively you’ve seen them in weeks. He didn’t say anything, didn’t even acknowledge your presence, just staring at his hand, looking at the blood as it dripped...dripped...dripped.
And then, he screamed.
It was so loud and so unexpected you quickly covered your ears, trying to block out the head-splitting sound.
When you finally regained your composure, you rushed down to Keigo's side, trying your best to help him.
But Keigo shoved you away.
“No! Stop! Go away! I-I don’t wanna hurt anymore! Stop it, leave me alone!” he scooted away from you, holding out his palms, trying to make you leave.
But you wouldn’t.
Slowly, you spoke, “Keigo, I need to help you, ok? I’m not here to hurt you, baby, I’m Y/N, I love you.”
You inched closer and closer as Keigo hiccuped and sniffed.
“Stop it! Don’t c-come any closer!”
You stilled, only for a moment. Then, you moved forward again.
“Honey, I have to clean your wound, please baby.”
Keigo’s breath still raged, but he let you come closer.
Before you even looked at the wound on his hand, you gave him a light kiss on the cheek. Keigo was shocked, flinching a bit at first.
You carefully picked up his hand, observing it lightly. The glass pricked his hand, but the overall damage wasn’t all that bad, it might have been worse if you hadn’t rushed to him.
You took a deep breath, “Keigo, I’m gonna need to remove the glass-”
But Keigo cut you off, “No no no no no, please. Please, I don’t wanna get hurt again. Please.”
“Keigo,” you stroked your cheek lightly, “it’s ok, it’s me, it’s Y/N.”
You purse your lips, thinking for a moment, “Remember when I got that splinter from the hardwood at that crummy hot spring? And remember how you had to pull it out? And remember how scared I was?”
He thought for a moment as if the memory was buried deep inside him, a lifetime ago. He nodded, tears still running down his face.
“It’s gonna be like that, ok? Quick, and I’ll be right there with you, just like you were for me.”
After a moment, Keigo nodded.
You made quick work of the glass, helping Keigo through the little whimpers and hiccups he let out.
Keigo was never like this before, never fighting over glass in his hand, he was a hero, he dealt with pain daily. But this Keigo was beyond damaged. He was ripped in half, put through more pain than you would ever understand, the mental strain of that had to be so much, it had to weigh on him.
The thought only made your resolve stronger, only made your need to see Keigo get better that much more secure.
After you had bandaged his hand, kissing his knuckles and wrist softly in order to calm him down, you noticed how exhausted he was.
“Do you wanna go and take a nap, Kei?”
He nodded.
You walked him to the room, helping him to bed.
You planted a small kiss on his lips before moving away to leave.
But Keigo caught the fabric of your shirt, pulling on it lightly, “Wait.”
You turned back to face him, “Yeah. what's up Kei?”
“Um, could you...join me?”
Your body perked up. This was one of the first times he had seemed...needy for contact with you. Sure, he still slept next to you, but you figured that was mainly due to some comfortability. But the way Keigo was looking at you right now? His eyes softened with desperation, his body, while still heavy with drowsiness, had enough strength to pull you to him. He seemed to genuinely want you to stay.
You smiled, a real, genuine smile, “Of course I can Keigo.”
You slid into the spot next to him, and Keigo had his arms immediately around your waist, pulling you flush against him. His face nuzzled softly into your neck, his whole body trapping you in a needed embrace.
You played with his hair, giving yourself a mental note that you needed to wash it and brush it out later.
That's when you heard the sniffling in your neck.
“Kei,” you said gently, “what’s wrong?”
It took a few labored breaths for Keigo to respond, “I’m sorry.”
At first, you were confused. What did Keigo have to be sorry about? He had done nothing wrong to you, he hadn’t said anything bad to you, the most he had really done was worry you. But he continued.
“I’m sorry for being so weak, for letting myself get like this, it’s all my fault. And I’m sorry I’m a burden for you, I know how much you loved me, how much you loved being with a strong hero,” he took another shaky breath before continuing, “But I can't. I can’t do it anymore. It hurts so bad. And now, no one wants me. I’m a failure, they’re right,” Keigo squeezed you tighter as if you would leave him too, “I’m a false hero. I failed everyone, the commission, my friends, Tokoyami. And you,” he looked back up at you, “why are you even here? I’m useless now, why can’t you see that? Why won’t you just leave? It would be better for you.”
You hadn’t even realized you had been crying before you felt how shaky your voice was, “No. Keigo that’s not true, I love-”
But he cut you off, “No!” he bolted upright, “Stop it! Stop it Y/N! I’m not who you love, that Keigo is dead and gone, look at me! I’m a shell of who he was, I’m the failure he left behind! Christ Y/N, I fucking broke down because I had fucking glass in my hand!”
He cupped his ears, seemingly trying to block out some sort of noise that you couldn’t even hear. Rocking back and forth lightly, his bandaged hand squeezing hard on his left ear.
“Keigo stop it,” you tried to get his hand away, “you're going to hurt yourself!”
After fighting him for a moment, you finally got him to put his hands down. You pulled him to you, placing his head on your chest as you calmed him down.
“Kei,” you said after a long stretch of silence, “I love you, and I’m not leaving you.”
Keigo hiccuped, “B-but.”
You shushed him, “No but’s. I’m here to stay, it’ll be hard, I know that, but I can’t leave you.”
For the first time in God now’s how long, Keigo reached up and kissed you.
It wasn’t a light, small little peck either, it was a sloppy, desired-filled kiss. You were shocked at first, seeing as how he was yelling at you a second ago, but you let yourself indulge a bit. You craved Keigo, missed his lips, his strong, protective hands that run up your body, you just missed him really.
Your hand moved down to his chest, pulling him deeper. His hands grabbed onto your hips, pulling you more in.
His teeth clashed against yours, and maybe it was because you two haven't done this in so long, or it was because neither of you cared.
You couldn’t help but let out a small moan as Keigo pushed more against you, pushing you near the head of the bed.
After a few moments of the kiss, you pulled away.
“Please,” Keigo whispered lightly, “Please don’t leave me.”
------
After that, the situation with you and Keigo became so much more complicated.
Keigo would become so irritable, that you had to stand outside for hours just for him to calm down.
But the worst was when he acted so apologetic afterward, saying his, “I’m sorry”’s over and over again, sputtering about how he would, “do better.”
Of course, you felt like absolute shit, wanting to scream, to cry, to leave even. But you couldn’t. Keigo was in so much pain, you had to be strong now, you had to be there for him like he had been for you. You shoved down your tears, fighting the urge to scream and cry, waiting out your feelings.
Was it a bad coping mechanism? Yes. But you already felt so useless, you didn’t want to be a burden too.
For a while, you had hoped that he would help himself get better, you had hoped that he really was trying to get better and understand how to help himself more, but as time went on, you saw how naive you were.
You realized that Keigo was almost beyond repair, some days he would be silently upset, not talking or saying anything. While others you could hear it in his voice.
While some days you came into your shared room to see him curled up on the bed, crying and whimpering. And then there was you, unable to help, unable to tell him how, “it would be ok,” how, “I’m here for you, Kei.”
Because you knew he wouldn’t listen.
And yet, he would never yell at you, never scream or degrade you, he would only seem to be mad at...himself.
Yet, it was strange, because he seemed to grow more and more protective of you.
If you were to leave the house, he would become upset, saying how; “You could have gotten hurt, next time either take me with you or stay...please.”
It was strange how he always asked, how he never demanded.
But today, today was different.
You had noticed that Keigo was especially irritable, so you decided to just stay out of his way. Deciding to work on meal prep, because of Keigo’s accident the doctors told you to watch his meals carefully, making sure he eats a well-balanced meal each and every day.
Maybe Keigo would calm down, maybe today could still be ok, maybe you could salvage the day and make it a good one.
But that was before the broadcast.
. . .
You were outside that day, watching as the sun showned on the ocean.
You wished silently that Keigo could have enough strength to come out and see it with you. Yet, you didn’t push him.
Keigo, on the other hand, was watching some TV. Well, "watch" was a strong word. Keigo’s eyes were far off again, You never asked him what he was thinking about, but you knew it had to be something but what happened.
As you watch the waves crash against the shore, and the sun slowly sets, that's when it happened.
The broadcast.
At first, the broadcast was only just a news reporter talking about how; “us as a society must look forward, through these dark times.” Talking about the loss of certain Hero’s and civilians alike.
but the segment right after that, that's what sent Hawks into his spiral.
“And now, what has happened to the pro hero known as Hawks? And I posed a question to all of our viewers out there, should he be forgiven? Can a man who ruthlessly killed someone, even a villain, be considered a hero?”
You weren't there when the news reporter posed the question, you were only there for the aftermath.
At first, Keigo was in shock, and then, his outburst happened.
It was the worst outburst since the accident. He was screaming, yelling, hitting anything, he just needed some way to get his anger out.
When you heard the commotion, you immediately ran inside, worried that something may have hurt him. But as you went inside, you realized that there was nothing wrong, at least not from what you could see. But to Keigo, everything was wrong.
When you came in, all you could hear was yelling, “What was it all for?! I just...I just wanted to help!”
You were stunted into silence, only being able to watch from afar.
It was like you couldn’t move, your body glued down to the floor, unable to help Keigo.
And then, he hit the TV, hard.
And that's when you finally spoke.
“Keigo stop!”
You rushed forward, grabbing his arm from hitting the wall.
You latched on to him, “Keigo please, please honey just calm-”
But it was too late, and before you knew what was happening, Keigo had thrown you on the ground.
You landed on your hands, cushioning your fall, but that didn’t mean it hurt.
For a moment, everything was still, everything was silent. Keigo wasn’t yelling, he wasn't screaming, and when you looked back up, the only thing you saw was true horror and guilt.
You panted lightly, your eyes blown wide as you stared back up at Keigo.
“...Y/N-”
What was he to say?
He didn’t know.
“K-Keigo,” you were at a complete loss for words.
After a few more minutes, you stood back up. You took one, shaky breath, before you spoke.
“Keigo, I’m sorry. I-I...I can’t do this right now. It’s just… this is all too much for me right now. I think I need to clear my head.”
You moved past him, not even looking him in the eye. How could you? Your mind was a mess, a thousand thoughts jumbled through your brain.
You opened the door quickly, taking your car keys before you left, refusing to look back.
----
The ocean waves looked stunning in the sunlight, it might have been the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen.
At least, you would have if the tears in your eyes weren’t blocking out your vision.
And your head wouldn’t stop spinning. Was Keigo ok? Should you go back? Could you even go back? What would you even say to him?
No matter how hard you tried to convince yourself that leaving Keigo behind was for the best, that you two just needed to be away from each other, you felt like your heart was being slowly stabbed through with needles, one for every second away.
You sniffed, wiping away your tears with the back of your palm.
There had to be a way Keigo could get better, some way you could help. But every thought eluded you, how could you help someone so far gone?
You thought back to the doctor's suggestion of getting a therapist, maybe it was time. Keigo was getting too out of hand for you, and as much as you loved him, you knew that this was hurting him as much as you.
A sigh escaped your lips, why did this have to be so difficult?
And that thought came to you again.
Why couldn’t he just be himself again?
You shivered at your own selfish, hurtful thoughts. Keigo was still him, he just needed help, and thinking about how much you wanted the old him back wasn’t going to help him or you. And it wasn’t fair either, to expect that after what happened he would just be fine.
You knew you would always be there for him, but you supposed you didn’t think it would be this hard.
You placed your face in your hands.
How the hell could you help him? You felt as though Keigo was on the edge of a mountain, and you were the only thing he could grab onto, but now, he was pulling you down with him.
A small, shaky sigh escaped you.
Crunch, crunch.
Footsteps. Fast approaching, almost running.
You cocked your head up, preparing to be kicked off whoever's land that you were on (considering how you just decided to drive to the middle of nowhere).
“Oh, I’m sorry. I thought that this was public-”
But you stopped mid-sentence.
There stood Keigo, tears streamed down his cheeks, his panting breaths and sweat glistening from his body must have meant he came all the way out here on foot.
Your eyes widened in surprise, but before you could get a word in, Keigo had bent down to you.
“Are you hurt?”
You shook your head, still in shock, “N-no.”
He sighed, but his face concentrated like he was thinking too hard, “I’m sorry.” and then, a long, silent pause, “I don’t...I don’t know what else to say.”
“...I don’t either,” you looked back up at him again. “You could have really hurt me, and I just don’t know how to deal with all this. I don’t know how to deal with...you.”
Keigo flinched, the implications of your words stung.
“It’s just...I want to be there for you, I really do, but it’s so hard,” you looked down tears threatening to escape, “I love you s-so much, b-but,” a silent hiccup went through you, “I don’t know how to help anymore.”
Keigo stayed silent, his words trapped under his tongue. He also didn’t know what to do, he didn’t know what to say. He wanted to help himself too, but he knew deep down he couldn’t. He didn’t know how. But he hated what he was doing to you, he hated what he was making you go through.
“Keigo,” he looked back up at you, “Do you still love me?”
Keigo stared wide-eyed back to you, his words at a loss. “I- of course, I do Y/N-”
“Then why don’t you say it?”
He paused, “...What do you mean?”
You sighed, “Have you noticed that ever since what happened, you’ve not been able to say ‘I love you,' to me? Because I have. Each morning I wake up, and I always say, ‘good morning Kei, I love you,’ and you never say it back. It feels like I’m just invisible to you. I don’t want to look at you as something to fix, or as something to make me feel miserable, but I can’t live with someone who just sees me like a ghost.”
It took a while before Keigo finally responded.
“I don’t see you as a ghost,” he said, his voice as low as a whisper, “it’s that I see me as the ghost. I lost...I lost a big part of me in that fight.”
Subconsciously, he reaches back to his used-to-be wings, his fingers flinching when nothing is there.
“Keigo, you are not your wings.”
“How can you say that when everything I was...was built off of them?”
You leaned forward, a hand placed lightly on his cheek, “Your wings did not build our relationship, we did. And we still have each other. Your wings were never the reason I loved you, your wings were always just a part of you, they were never you.”
Keigo looked back at you, placing a hand on top of yours. After a few, dragged-out moments, Keigo leaned into you. But not before whispering lightly on your lips, “I do love you, Y/N.”
. . .
Things were hard, but they were better.
It had been three weeks since the accident that happened with you and Keigo. He agreed to go to a therapist, after what happened with you two, he wanted to get help.
What neither you nor he expected though, was for his therapist to also recommend you get help as well.
In his words; “After understanding the stress that Mr. Takami has gone through, as well the details that he has shared with me, I believe that it is necessary for you to also have some sort of mental treatment. Keigo was not in the right state of mind for a very long time, and you were the only person here to look after him. I believe you first need to talk about your problems separately and then move on to couples therapy. Some of the actions Mr. Takami has put you through may have had negative effects on your psyche.”
Although that was a shock to you, Keigo visibly became more saddened after that.
After the conversation with the therapist, Keigo even offered to move out of your shared room.
“If- if you’re uncomfortable with me being here, I can take the spare room.”
You only shook your head no, saying, “I’m not uncomfortable sleeping next to you, Kei, we’re in this together.”
And you were.
Keigo went to his therapist, as did you. At first, you weren’t sure, seeing as Keigo and you would see the same person and how that may make a conflict of interest, but he assured you that Keigo dealt with trauma relating to his fight, as did you of course, but your trauma and anxiety was more based upon him.
So, you made it work.
After a while of one-on-one counseling, you moved to couples therapy.
It was hard, mostly for Keigo, because he didn’t want to admit to himself, or you, that he had hurt you as much as he did.
So, you opened first.
You talked about how scared you were of losing Keigo, not just physically but mentally, how it hurt you that some days he wouldn’t talk to you. You even opened up about missing the old him.
It seemed like when you first opened your mouth, everything just came pouring out.
And so, after you explained your side, slowly, Keigo started to explain his.
He explained how he didn’t want to hurt you, but how he just couldn’t help himself in that moment. He felt like everyone was turning on him, abandoning him, he thought it was only a matter of time before you. And he couldn’t handle how that thought chased him, his mind just became so jumbled and uncertain.
But he wanted to get better, to show you the man you deserved.
Soon, you came to realize how your relationship would never be the same since that day, how you had lost a part of Keigo, and how Keigo had lost a part of himself. And that part, that part split you two, like a deep cut, and now you two had to sew it back together, and you both knew it would be hard.
Losing that part of your life took time, it took practice and understanding, it took watching Keigo wake up in a nightmare, watching as he screamed and all you could do was hush him and stroke his cheek softly as you told him how you were there, even as tears slipped down your cheeks as well.
But you let them, you let yourself show him that you were sharing the pain, that you were together in this.
Keigo was hurting, you knew that, but as your therapist told you; “You are grieving, grieving for that Keigo that died in that battle, and not only are you grieving, you are also trying your best to take care of someone who was already so broken that now they might as well be shards of the vase they once were.”
But that didn’t stop you from explaining how you felt selfish and terrible, how you felt like you were a bad person for feeling upset, for wanting Keigo to go back to you.
After each therapy session, you two would go out and sit on the porch, not doing or saying anything, because you both realized you had said plenty before.
. . .
After a year since then, things had gotten significantly better.
Keigo and you understood the inner workings of your relationship, not only that, you both understand each other a lot better. Understanding how you both needed one another, how you two could only grow to help each other.
Almost a year has passed since the incident with Dabi, a year since Keigo “lost” his wings.
But his wings were back, and he was back.
Although, maybe not fully.
Keigo was almost like a different vision of himself, a more, down to earth, real version of who he was.
Maybe, it was the person he always was, but just never could show it.
With you, he was the most caring he’s ever been.
Watching as you fell asleep in his arms, creasing your body oh-so-perfectly as he kissed you deeply, his sing-song praises in your ear. He loved you so much.
And you, you helped him grow as well. Being there for him, watching him, helping him.
You never left him, you carried out your promise to yourself, keeping him with you no matter what. You loved him so much, and you were so happy to see how he healed.
And here you both were, Watching as the sunset, as the ocean waves tied down, the sun Illuminating the water passing over.
You watched as Keigo’s eyes lit up in the bright light, his scar’s still reflecting the hard past that he's been through, and yet, reminding you how lucky you are.
At that moment you leaned in, giving him a light peck on his cheek.
Keigo turned to you, before laughing, “Why did you do that?"
"Because... I just realized how lucky I am to have you. Thank you, Keigo.”
"There's no need to thank me, dove," he said, kissing you as well "I'll always love you, and I always will be thankful that I have you as well."

Can I call you mine?
A commission from the lovely @carlottastudios who I absolutely adore after only having a few conversations with. These were jealousy scenarios with a bit of spice! I went over my word limit on Jamil’s but that’s just cause I love him so much! Please enjoy! And commissions are open still! This one cost $3
Warnings: slight spice, fem!reader, jealousy, protectiveness, possessive behavior, light light LIGHT angst, marking kink (is that a thing? oh well. Basically a love bite that displays their claim.)

   “In the jungle, the botanical jungle, a lion sleeps all the time~!” you sang out teasingly. Leona huffed and his tail thumped against the ground once in irritation. Giggling, you slid closer and poked said tail, which retracted swiftly, prickling in annoyance.
   “Scram herbivore.” Leona’s tone was mildly annoyed but had no bite to it. Truthfully he hoped you would inch just a bit closer so he could grab you and hold you hostage as his pillow.
   You hummed and stood, much to his displeasure, and grabbed your school stuff. Quietly you packed everything away and threw out your lunch trash before returning to Leona’s spot one more time.
   “I have class now, Leona. I’ll see you later, kay?” he grunted in agreement and watched you walk away, nose twitching as he inhaled your fresh scent one last time before it began to fade. The down side of the botanical garden was that any smell other than flowers was quickly dispersed by the sickeningly sweet perfume of nectar.
   The lion sighed and stared up at one such flower with distaste. How dare they try to outdo his beloved? He would never appreciate their scent more than hers. He rolled his eyes at the ridiculous thoughts and fell back asleep. He hummed as he did so, mimicking the tune you had sang to him. He missed you already.
----------
   5:48 P.M. You were 18 minutes late. 18 minutes had passed since you were supposed to be in Leona’s bed, curled up next to him, petting his ears, and doting on him like the king he was. 18 minutes where Leona gradually became more worried, as well.
   It wasn’t like you to be late. Especially not late to a night with him. It set his instincts off and he was on high alert, tensed, ready to pounce on anything that dared touch his mate. Finally when the clock turned 5:20 he sprang out of bed and strode down the hall with power that sent the message “don’t mess with me”.
   In the Savanaclaw lounge you were seated next to the decorative pool, chatting amidly with a fellow student. Leona glared and growled when he spotted you, far too close to the other man for his liking. He watched in anger, as the student slid even closer to you so that your hips touched briefly.
   Rage flashed in Leona’s eyes and his expression darkened into something dangerous. He stalked over behind you and the student, who seemingly didn’t notice his presence and hastily picked you up before throwing you over his shoulder.
   “Hey! Put me down!” you cried out and he snarled at you. “Quiet, herbivore!” Recognizing your boyfriend's voice you stilled and relaxed a bit. At least it wasn’t some stranger.
   He mentally gave you points for fighting back when you didn’t know who it was. “That’s right, only I get to touch you.”
   Looking down at the student who had been sitting with you, he noticed your homework was on his lap and realized he had just been helping you. He growled and turned walking away, a bit upset that he didn’t have a good reason to turn them to dust. Not that he needed one, but he couldn’t imagine upsetting you by harming one of your classmates, no matter how much he wanted to.
   Soon he reached his room and threw you on the bed. You landed with a gasp and looked up at him in confusion and slight annoyance. “Leona! What was that-MPH!”
   He silenced you quickly by shoving you down on the bed and sliding his tongue into your mouth. Immediately your body relaxed underneath him and he smirked when you brought your hands up to weave into his hair.
   Only he got to touch you like this. Only he got to kiss you. Only he got to say that you were his. His and his alone!
   You panted when he pulled back and started to ask why but he kissed you again so you couldn’t. “Jealous. Protective. Possessive. Mine” He said between kisses and soon trailed them along your jaw and down to your neck.
   A breathy moan slipped from your lips as he sucked on the sensitive skin near your collar. He kissed up until he was right over the junction between your neck and shoulders. Then he bit down hard, drawing a loud cry from you.
   The taste of your blood only just barely appeared before he pulled back and began to kiss the wound. He knew that licking it would irritate it further due to his cat-like tongue, but he still attempted to soothe it as much as possible.
   Finally he pulled back completely and gazed down at you with a smirk. Several different bruises and love bites littered your neck, shoulders, and collar. Only one had been deep enough to break the skin. It would scar he was sure and the thought of you always wearing a symbol of his claim made him purr.
   He stopped though when he realized he could have hurt you. “I’m sorry. Princess, I didn’t mean to get so upset, it’s just instincts.” he sighed.
   You smiled at him and pulled him down for another kiss. “Don’t worry. I find it super sexy when you get possessive.” His eyes widened in surprise and he took in your mild blush. “Hmmm…” he purred with a smirk. “Well in that case you don’t mind if I mark you up a bit more… and while I’m at it you can use that pretty voice of yours to remind the whole dorm that you’re mine and mine alone!”
Tumblr media
   Jamil gritted his teeth and turned away from the lounge. He made his way to the kitchen and immediately began to prepare more horderves. Kalim’s party was going wonderfully, of course all due to his hard work. Although he supposed he appreciated a week's notice and Kalim did help magically with some of the decorations.
    He was still stressed, but not quite as much as he could have been, had Kalim not given him a warning. In fact he was looking forward to actually trying to enjoy one of Kalim’s parties for the first time since he was born.
   It was a very nice party and since everything was going smoothly, Jamil found time to sit down and sip some juice. Alcohol wasn’t allowed on school premises but grape juice mimicked the taste nicely depending on what brand you bought. Kalim was partial to the sweeter stuff, while Jamil preferred it to be more sour.
   However, he found that the sour taste in his mouth wasn’t from the juice at all when he spotted you dancing joyously with some other student. His smile fell into a frown and he watched angrily as the student pulled you close and said something that made you laugh.
   You had a beautiful laugh, it was the kind that made everyone in the room sigh in content when they heard it. Jamil fell in love with it almost as hard as he had fallen in love with you. Especially because you rarely laughed for anyone but him.
   To hear you generously sharing that sound with some nobody sent flashes of anger through him.  He clenched his fists and dug his nails into his palms a bit. Just remembering it made him pissed.
   Shaking his head to clear it, Jamil got to work cutting up some more vegetables at a fast speed that would intimidate anyone who tried to approach him. He wasn’t in the mood to deal with anyone so he glared darkly at the food in front of him in an attempt to send off silent go away signals.
   Kalim, who entered the room to find Jamil after seeing him storm off, caught sight of the frustrated man and paused to observe his body language. Ever since Jamil’s overblot, Kalim had been trying to read his friend's emotions better. Luckily he caught on quickly and left the room.
    Jamil sighed in relief and set the knife down. Why the hell would you wanna hang out with anyone but him! You were his and his alone! The only thing he had claim over, or ownership of. Mentally he berated himself for thinking that way. You weren’t an object, you were a person and you should be allowed to do whatever you want. He would be a hypocrite if he tried to restrict your choices and behaviors.
   “Jamil?” The man spun around and found you standing behind him with a concerned look on your face. “Kalim told me you looked upset, is everything alright?” Your tone was soft and worried. It eased Jamil’s emotions in the way it always had. You always put him first, a habit he both loved and hated. On one hand he adored being pampered for once, on the other he knew what it was like to ignore your own wants and needs for another person.
   He sighed and put on a smile, taking your hands in his own. “Just tired that’s all.” you frowned and glared up at him in the way you always did when he lied.
   “Now, I know that’s not true. I’m not gonna force you to tell me, but I also want you to know that you can be honest with me. That’s why I’m here.” Jamil bit his lip and turned away, a flush rising on his cheeks.
   “The truth…” he hesitated. “The truth is I don’t want you hanging out with that other student!” The sudden exclamation took you aback and you blinked in surprise. “I don’t want to control you or tell you what to do and who to hang out with, but I also want you all to myself. No one else should be able to touch you or whisper in your ears, or dance with you, or make you laugh and smile. That’s my job, because your mine, not theirs!”
   At this point you were blushing as well, but noticed he was beginning to get upset. “And I’m so sorry for saying that like you’re some object, cause you’re not. You’re a person who deserved to make their own choices and decisions, but goddamnit I can’t help wanting you all to myself. You’re- you’re…” he paused and looked at you. “You’re special… to me. I don’t want anyone taking you away from me. I know i’m being a hypocrite but don’t go back out there. Stay here and be mine-”
   Jamil was cut off by you kissing him passionately on the lips. His eyes widened before they fell closed and he snaked his arms around your waist, tugging you flush against him with a growl.
   His tongue swiped at your lips and you parted them obediently. He smirked and chuckled lowly before slipping it into your mouth. “Good girl.” You moaned through the kiss and felt your knees weaken. He pulled you around and lifted you effortlessly onto the counter. His kisses moved from your lips to your neck where he simultaneously worshipped and abused your skin.
   Love bites and dark bruises displayed his rough treatment, but the sighs that fell from your lips told him that you were enjoying it greatly. Silently he pulled back to observe his handiwork and smirked at the amount of marks he had left behind. Some would be easy to hide, whereas others he had left strategically in places that would be impossible to cover up. He felt a little guilty, knowing that you would be slightly upset later for making it so hard to hide the fact that he had been kissing you, but seeing something almost like a name tag, or a brand, that signified you were his and his alone, stirred something in him and he was tempted to never let you leave his sight without a mark warning people off about advancing on you.
   “Jamil…” you spoke shakily. He looked at you and how wrecked you were just from some kisses and his gaze darkened with lust. His tongue licked his lips subconsciously and he watched you shiver in reaction. “I have something important to tell you…”
   He raised an eyebrow and moved his head to the other side of your neck, placing kisses and marks there as well. It made it very hard to think so you momentarily pushed him away, making him growl in displeasure. “Don’t feel bad about being possessive over me, okay? Because when you are…” you hesitated, “it’s really freaking hot.”
   His eyes widened and an almost evil smile drew up on his lips. “That so… well, then I guess you don’t mind me leaving a few more marks over here,” he licked a stripe up your neck drawing a gasp from you, “to show the whole world that you belong to me!” He snarled it out before biting lightly at your skin and relishing in the way you tilted your head to the side with a moan. Yeah, he could get used to you hanging out with other boys so long as he got to do this to you before and after.

Oh god, okay hear me out. I suffer from insomnia and I couldn’t get Childes letter out of my head (btw the English version is so much less “I am in love with you” than the German one. He literally says in the German version that he misses us and wants us to visit him, like straight up this is a love letter!! The English version is really toned down in comparison).
So. I know his birthday is over, at least where I’m from. But. I wrote this whole ass fan fic, that is way too long, because I was so inspired by that letter. I’m not really satisfied with the ending, I honestly wanted to add so much more fluff but… I also didn’t want to make this too long, I actually planned for it to be short??? help (also it’s 4am now noooo)
Happy birthday, Tartaglia
Genre: a little bit angsty, fluff, comfort
Rating: SFW, though mentions of kissing and sharing a bed
Content warnings: mention of a family death, Bennett’s bad luck lol but both are unrelated haha
Characters: Tartaglia x gn!reader, a guest appearance of Bennett, mention of Zhongli
Word count: 2,796 words (oooh f*ck haha)
-
You’ve been busy the whole day doing some commissions for the Adventures Guild and were now on your way to Mondstadt, when you heard a familiar voice call your name. “(Y/N)!”, Bennett called out to you and ran into your direction. A deep sigh left your throat, while you enjoyed Bennett’s company most of the time… you had to deal with a ton of your own bad luck today. Not one of the commissions today went the way they usually did, everything that could’ve gone wrong did go wrong. It was honestly just very frustrating, although you couldn’t be really sure if it was because of bad luck or because your mind was somewhere else most of the day. You shook your head, trying to get rid of the tiredness you already felt in your whole body and made your way towards Bennett. No matter what he needed help with you would be sure you could handle it. And in that moment, as the thought of how it wouldn’t be a big deal whatever Bennett had on his chest, you saw how the young adventure tripped over his own feet and fell face forwards into the dirt. ‘Ouch, that must’ve hurt’, you thought while running up to him. “Are you hurt? Here, let me help you up Bennett”, you asked while helping him get up from the ground. All you got as an answer from him was his usual laugh and smile. “Oh man, I really didn’t see that stone. Haha, thanks for the concern though!” You couldn’t help yourself and chuckled at the way he wiped off the dirt from his clothes. “So, what’s up? What do you want from me?.” “Yeah, right! I nearly forgot!”, he exclaimed and started fumbling in his bag. “Oh, got a present for me?”, you asked sheepishly. “Kinda, not really. Here!” Bennett held a letter in his hands, both bandaged again, and stretching it out to you. “A letter? For me?”, you took it in your hands. In a fine handwriting there was your name on it. It didn’t even took you a second for you to register who’s hand writing it was. What a surprise.
Before you could even start to ask Bennett how he got his hands on the letter he was already excitedly explaining it to you. “Today I had a commission on Dragonspine and to be honest, it didn’t really went that well until I ran into this one guy. I accidentally activated a few Ruin guards and well, even the most seasoned adventurer can’t fight more than one of these at a time and sadly the newest members of Benny’s adventure team had to go home again before we made it even to the mountain.”
The thought of Bennett nearly finding his end today on Dragonspine really… it really did not sit right with you. You made a mental note to ask him later who the new members were that ditched him. After you had your talk with them they wished they had stayed with Bennett on Dragonspine. “Well, in that moment when they approached me that one guy showed up and it only took him a few minutes to defeat them all. (Y/N) that was so cool! I tried to recruit him for my adventure team, but sadly he said he was already occupied with something else. Oh man, it would’ve been so cool to have him on my adventurer team, imagine with such an excellent fighter no one would be afraid of my bad luck to join my team.” While you enjoyed Bennett’s enthusiasm you had to interrupt him. “Wait, wait, Bennett. The person who gave you this letter is on Dragonspine?”
“Oh yeah! As I was saying I tried to recruit him for my team, but failed however we talked a bit and somehow he mentioned that he knew you! When I told him we were friends he asked me to give you this letter the next time I saw you.”
You felt how the excitement in you grew. He was on Dragonspine? He was so close to you again? Now you hardly could pay attention to what Bennett continued to say, all that was on your mind was the man, whom you saw the last time months ago in Liyue was so close again. “Bennett,” you interrupted him again. “Thank you so much for the letter, but I really need to get going. Thank you so much!”
And with that you changed your direction and made your way directly to Dragonspine. “Oh? Okay, bye (Y/N)!”, you heard Bennett call after you, but your mind was already occupied with opening that letter he gave you.
With shaking hands you read what stood on that thin paper in that neat and familiar handwriting:
“Hey, comrade! How have you been? You must have traveled far and wide since we last saw each other, right?
For me, I can only seek out some entertainment for myself. These past couple of days, I’ve used a work opportunity to explore Dragonspine and seek out some local specialties. I hope they will be of use to you.
The harsh cold of the snow-capped mountains is reminiscent to the scenery of my hometown…
Sigh, I’ve had many mundane days that makes me nostalgic of our time together. Whether it’s a fight or a challenge, I always feel that having you around is what makes life really interesting.
Haha, to be honest, I’ve been planning a special day to meet up with you, today could be that chance! If you have no special plans, how about you swing by my place?
I miss you, Tartaglia”
Quickly you put the letter in your bag with what accompanied it and now you were basically running towards Dragonspine. Right now you didn’t want to think about what kind of “work opportunity” there could be for the Harbringer on Dragonspine, all you could think about was seeing him again.
It has been months since you both parted ways in Liyue. You met him while being on a commission, funnily enough it was a bit similar how Bennett ran into him today. In one of Liyues ruins you looked for a book some historian in Liyue Harbour desperately tried to get their hands on. By the amount of Mora they were willing to pay it should’ve been obvious to you that it wasn’t a one-person mission… and still, you went alone into those ruins. You had no problem in destroying the first two ruin guards you ran into, but when three activated at the same time… If it weren’t for Tartaglia back then you would probably be dead. At first you were very thankful for his help, however when you found out he was also there for the book you needed your thankfulness quickly turned into anger. “Well, don’t you think I deserve a reward for helping you out, comrade?”, he teased you.
After that day you somehow always managed to run into him in Liyue Harbour or on your commissions. Back then you only knew him by his name used by the Fatui, Childe. Though it was well known in Liyue that he was one of the Harbringers, you somehow didn’t get that message after months of openly antagonising him. Only after Childe invited himself to your usual afternoon teas with your friend Zhongli you learned about his affiliations, but also more about him. If someone was hearing two people bickering, the people of Liyue knew it was you two. However none of it was malicious. Somehow it was the way you and Childe showed each other the appreciation you had for one another.
The first dislike you had for him grew quickly into a warm friendship. And that friendship grew in something more after awhile.
The first time you noticed a change in your feelings towards Childe was around the time of the Lantern rite festival. One night you were supposed to meet up with Zhongli - but Childe showed up in his instead. Apparently, so Childe, there was a lot to do at the Parlour because of a new promotion the director wanted to try and needed Zhonglis help with, so Zhongli asked Childe to accompany you to the Lantern rite.
Until this day you weren’t sure if this was just a set up by Zhongli, but even if it was, you wouldn’t hold it against him.
That night, when you and Childe walked around Liyue Harbour and watched the lanterns something fundamentally changed between the two of you. After that night you knew so much more about him and he about you. From that day on he wasn’t Childe anymore, he was Tartaglia. And both of you finally knew how the lips of the other felt on your own.
Now you were so close again to feel his warm arms around you, to listen to the sound of his heartbeat when you rested your head on his chest and to feel his lips on yours again. Oh how you missed him too.
Parting ways wasn’t easy. Both of you knew that it was best to not be so public with your relationship, for several reasons. On the one hand the Fatui weren’t what you would call popular - most people would use some stronger word to describe them. Being a Mondstadt citizen in Liyue openly dating a member of the Fatui, yeah no. On the other it was also not really well liked by the Tsaritsa for the members of the Fatui, no matter if you were just a low henchman or a Harbringer, to get involved in that way with outsides. With “not well liked” it was more implied that she forbade any romantic relationships outside and inside the Fatui ranks when they were on a mission. And Tartaglia was on a mission, a mission you knew nothing about, but to be honest? You preferred it that way. The longer you were able to ignore what it meant for him to be part of the Fatui, the better.
So because of all of this you both decided it would be best to keep the relationship in the shadows.
You both knew for sure was that you had to part ways one day, however none of you expected that you were the one going home before Tartaglia. There were a lot of nights of laying in bed with him, sharing stories from each of your homes. You told him about the Windblume Festival and Ludi Hapestrum, he told you about the festivals and traditions of Snezhnaya. When you shared stories of how your little siblings and you loved to collect as many dandelions as possible when you were children to pretend that it was snowing in the summer, he would counteract that story with the times he built entire fortresses with his siblings out of the snow in the winter. Only to then pull you closer and whisper in your ear that he’ll show you how to do that when you come with him back to Snezhnaya. You would always whisper back “okay, but first you’d need to glide with me off Startsnatch cliff”. The lovely nights you both spend together, telling each other of your homes and how much you want to show it to them were harshly interrupted by a letter you got from your family.
Life sometimes isn’t fair. It’s hard and it brutal and it’s short. So when you got the letter from your family informing you that the youngest member of the family had died, it broke you to pieces. They were only 14. That night Tartaglia held you in his arms, his hand on the back of your head, your head pressed into his chest and none of you could say a word. Only the sound of you crying piercing the quite room. Too heavy was the grief for anything to be said anyways.
The day immediately after you received that letter you and Tartaglia parted way, a quite and sad goodbye. None of you were actually sure when you would see each other again. With his hands against your tear stained face, the tears not only being shed out of grief but also out of the pain you had to leave your lover, he promised to write you as often as he could. You promised you would answer. And then you left, wishing he could come with you. Words you did not dare to speak, because you knew he couldn’t, no matter how much he wanted to.
Now you found yourself close to one of the Fatui camps on Dragonspine. It was quite irresponsible to just run up the mountain, without any proper preparation or knowledge where Tartaglias camp actually was. You sighed. The excitement of seeing him after such a long time, after just exchanging letters got the best of you. Frustrated with yourself you made your way towards the campsite, hoping that this time the Fatui henchmen wouldn’t immediately start attacking every stranger they see. However when you arrived at the camp site you saw that no one was there. Too exhausted from the commissions earlier in the day and running up the Dragonspine you let yourself fall down in front of the extinguished campfire. Slowly but surly the cold weather of the Dragonspine was catching up to you.
Going through your bag you were looking for the stones Tartaglia send with his letter, hoping to ignite a fire with them. But before you could find them you heart footsteps in the snow behind you.
You hadn’t even had the chance to turn around before you felt two arms looping around your body, immediately warming you up.
“Hey comrade, did you miss me?”
You felt his head on your shoulders and you couldn’t help but to lean your own against his. One of your hands made its way up to his face, touching his cheek. “Yes,” you whispered.
Turning your head you now looked into his deep blue eyes, they were filled with all the love he had for you. You wished he could look at you like this forever… that you could look at him forever.
Tartaglia leaned a bit forward, placing a soft kiss on your lips and you couldn’t help it but smile.
He slowly pulled away, entangling himself from the hug and holding his hand out to you. “Come, let’s go inside the tent. You must be freezing out here”.
Inside the tent Tartaglia threw one blanket on another blanket over another over you, while lecturing you on what appropriate clothing was for a weather like this. You really didn’t give it any second thought when you made your way to Dragonspine, still wearing the same clothes you would wear on a sunny day in Mondstadt. But you also couldn’t hide it how much you loved to just hear his voice, even when he was nagging you. “It’s fine really, now stop trying to bury me under all the blankets and warm me up yourself”, you took his hand and pulled him towards you onto the plank. “You know some people would find what you said very suggestiv”, he joked, joining you under the immense amount of blankets. “Mmmmh,” was the only thing you replied, completely enamoured with him having you by your side again. For a few minutes the both of you just laid there, close to each other and feeling each other’s heartbeat.
None of you could actually believe your luck to be in the arms of the other again. How much you had missed this. Missed him.
“Hey,” he spoke softly, making you look into his eyes again. “How you’ve been doing?”.
It was such a soft question and you knew what he meant. You wanted to tell him how exhausting everything has been since your arrival, how your family was breaking apart at all ends, what a shit show it all was. In your letters you only alluded to how bad it actually is. How it was all just made worse by him not being at your side. Though you knew you would have to tell him all of this sooner or later, right now you didn’t want to talk about it. Not in detail. Not when today was actually his special day. “It’s manageable, but better now that I’m here with you”, you replied to his question. “You?”
“Better, now that I have you here”, was his reply. You both smiled at each other, a warm and tender smile. Slowly you adjusted your position so that you now were laying on top of him, your chin on his chest. “Hey, there is something I forgot to tell you.”
“Oh, and what is it?”
Happy Birthday, Tartaglia”, and with that you kissed him.

Mother Miranda x Lawyer!Oc ----Tilted Scales
Hello guys :) This is another commission I wrote for the amazing, wonderful @saltwatereulogies
Your support has been insane, I can't thank you enough. Hope you enjoy the story ❣
Tumblr media
Three days.
That is how long you've been in the village, after years of studying abroad, before everything turns to shit.
As you slowly blink focus back into your eyes, you try to clear the haze from your mind. It feels as though you've collided with a truck. Your body hurts, your wrists protest in their iron cuffs, stuck to the wall as they are, having supported your weight while you were unconscious.
Desperately, you try to recollect the events that led you here...
A grey sky. A bleak day. One moment you were making coffee for your mother, excited to be able to sit down with her in the mornings again... and the next you heard the echo of screams.
Overcome by adrenaline, you bolted out of your house, only to witness a scene straight from a nightmare; humanoid monsters ripping villagers apart, cries and blood and animalistic growls all blending together into one mad mix.
And before you could even warn your mother...
Damn it all, what the fuck happened!
You suddenly struggle against your bonds, hard enough to rattle your whole frame. Your wrists burn from the grind against metal, but you don't care–
“Stop that. It is pointless and you will only injure yourself.” A cold voice, strangely familiar, says from far to your right.
You peer deep into the shadows, searching for the only other person in the empty room... until you see her. A mask advances on you, gold and shaped like a crow's visage, then wings folded into a cloak come into view.
You would be a fool to not recognize her. The local saint. The village's prophet. The very 'saint' your mother prayed to, for your safe return, all these years. Mother Miranda.
The sound of her heels bounces off the walls until she comes to stand directly in front of you. Looking past the openings of her mask now, you realize....
This isn't possible.
She hasn't aged a day. Not a single day, since you left the village. The years should show around her deadly blue eyes, somewhere, and yet they don't.
“I see you remember me...” she says, while you're still trying to find your voice. “Miss Warren.”
“What is going on? Mother Miranda, what happened to the village?!” you demand.
Her expression shows nothing. “The village is in need of... renovation.” she speaks, even, regal. “Repopulation, even.”
You stare at her with wide eyes.
“Now, don't give me that look. You would not be here if you weren't of the ones I chose to keep.” she continues. “You see, from now on, every single person in my domain will make themselves useful in some way, or they will be replaced. And you... you have been abroad studying law for a while now, yes?”
“I... yes.” you reply, still not fully having wrapped your mind around your situation.
“Excellent. What I need from you is simple. You will make the village independent from the state’s taxes as a religious organization... and you will keep foreign investors out from that point onward.”
What... what part of that is simple?!
“Do that for me and in return I guarantee your mother and you will go back to your house safe and sound. You will have no shortage of Lei for as long as you live, Miss Warren.” Miranda promises.
But it is not the sweet part of the deal your mind stays glued to. “And if...” you gulp. “If I can't work around the law to do that...?”
Miranda blinks slowly at you, like you shouldn't even ask such a basic question. Like the answer is obvious.
“Well. Then I have no further use for either of you.”
It is in this moment that it dawns on you.
This woman is no angel and no saint.
She is a devil.
-
-
You spend countless sleepless nights pouring over every single paragraph, every little opening or ambiguity in the law you can use to free the village of taxes.
To keep your mother in the dark about this, you work in the office Mother Miranda has provided for you, in her very stronghold.
Although technically it's her home, you don't see her nearly as much as you initially thought. She is gone throughout the day and returns late at night, not even sparing you a glance before heading for her chambers, at the upper sections of the building.
The days she does come into your office to inquire on your progress are few and far-between, your conversations always short and cold.
This evening is different.
“How is your work coming along, Miss Warren?” the prophetess asks with her aggravatingly nice accent, seating herself like a queen on the chair in front of your desk.
Your eyes are tired, but you force them on hers, through the mask obscuring her face. “I think I've got it. I'll be sending the necessary papers tomorrow and the answer shouldn't take longer than a month.”
“Very good.” she nods, a miniscule curve to her lips.
Icy eyes then drop to the wine in the whiskey glass at the corner of the desk. You think she will make a comment about drinking at work, but instead she says;
“Pour me a glass, will you?”
You will your hands steady as you comply, then carefully slide her drink over.
Miranda takes her mask with claw-shrouded fingers... and soundnessly sets it on the wooden surface. Then she pushes the veil at her hair back, shaking long, platinum locks free.
You do a double take you hope she doesn't notice. Because what the actual fuck.
You didn't think her hair was that long, or that straight, or that it would fall over her shoulders like she's staring in a shampoo ad. You didn't think her lips were shaped like a cupid's bow or that her skin was this flawless and radiant.
The helplessly lesbian part of you could begrudgingly admit she was beautiful before... but now you arrive to the painful realization she's drop-dead gorgeous.
“So. I've heard you won cases others would describe as impossible.” she begins.
“Nothing's impossible. You just need to know where to look.” you reply. Law is your comfort zone and she is not that far above you here. “But how do you know that?”
“I have my sources.”
"Nobody truly leaves this village, huh.”
“Not without my consent, no. But I knew you'd come back.” At your slight frown, she elaborates, “You would never leave your mother behind.”
She's right. There was a whole world of opportunities waiting for you out there and yet... here you are.
“Good work, so far. You can take the next two days off. Your eyes could use the rest, Miss Warren.” Miranda speaks, finishing her wine.
“Sarah.” you say. 'Miss Warren' is for clients and she is your boss.
Miranda's lips give a slight quirk that may or may not be a trick of the light.
“I know.” she replies and exits the room, long hair billowing behind her back.

The taxes were only the first challenge. Now that the village is free of them, investors are flying in circles around it like vultures over meat.
In the meantime, Miranda comes to talk to you more frequently.
Lately, it seems she has more free time. You wish that was a good thing, but...
“So... are you like... going to stay here?” You ask after reading the same sentence five times to make sense of it, because her gaze on you is distracting as fuck.
“I'm not getting in the way of your work.” she says. You want to argue she is, but can't quite do that in a way that won't get you killed.
“I'm simply not used to working with company. Isn't this boring for you?”
“No, actually. I find it interesting, even though science is my field of expertise.” she answers. “And the way you take notes is… amusing.”
You try not to blush as you look down at your notebook, filled with different colored markers and post-it squares with tiny stick figures pointing to the more important paragraphs. You have been doing this for so long to sort out information you didn't even realize you were keeping it up in her presence.
“What is this supposed to be?” she asks with a small smile, the first of its kind you've seen.
To your horror, her clawed pointer aims at a particularly silly doodle, barely the size of a pencil's eraser.
“A... bird.” you grimace like you've been stabbed.
“Ah, of course.” Miranda holds back a chuckle but you can tell she's dying to make a comment.
Studying becomes hell for the rest of the time she's there with you, those sharp eyes picking apart every little move you make. At the same time, though, the hours you spend with her make you realize...
She's not a saint, though she may look like one. She's not completely a devil, either, even if she may act as one, at times.
She's human.

Miranda shares nothing about herself when you chat, but she seems to like it when you speak about your time abroad and all the things that left an impression on you there.
Your conversation over wine is cut short, however, when you receive a call from a number you learned means nothing but trouble, lately.
“Sorry, I have to take this.” you tell her.
The one calling you is none other than this month's rival lawyer, trying to dispute your claim over the land for his own boss. He's lost to you before, so it's also personal, but you are confident you have cornered them good with the latest papers you sent them...
And you are proven correct, when, a few seconds later, he is all faux polite on the other line, resorting to offering you money for you to withdraw your arguments.
Miranda comes to stand next to you, listening in to what he's saying.
The problem with that is, the second her arm brushes yours and you catch a whiff of her perfume –which always lingers in your office long after she's left— youare the one who stops listening to him.
Your attention flies to other things, like the inches she has on you, the exact color of her pale blonde hair, the little glint of victory in her stunning eyes.
Oh, no. God, no...
You know what this is, the feeling in the pit of your stomach. Alarm bells go off in the back of your head, as though your own mind is telling your body how foolish it's being.
There isn't a worse thing you can do to yourself than be attracted to Miranda.
-
-
Over time, familiarity with the prophetess brings higher levels of difficulty into your 'try to ignore your crush on her' game.
Miranda joins your side and leans over your shoulder, sometimes, to peer down at what you're doing. You don't move and don't breathe until she's within a safe distance again.
Then there are the wayward 'reward' touches, when you turn another investor away from the village. She may pat your back or leave her hand on your shoulder, or even scratch your nape with her claws as a job well done.
You hope your poker face hides the fact you feel her touch on you for far longer than you should, after she's gone.
Tonight, the situation is the toughest it's ever been for you.
There is a rainstorm going on outside; the waterdrops are tapping against the windows of your office as though they're trying to break it. Miranda has pulled her chair next to you so you can talk easier, without having to shout over the cacophony.
“And basically the judge's decision was that—”
You are interrupted by a blinding flash of lighting, during which your mind lets you know the stronghold is easily the tallest structure in it's vicinity—
When thunder cracks down the sky and strikes the building, you nearly scream. Your body tenses and you jump; but Miranda's hands come to your biceps and hold you steady, against herself and your desk.
Another flash comes before you really have time to think about your proximity. She covers your ears with her palms before the thunderclap can send you into overdrive again.
“You are with me and you're scared of a little thunder?” she teases when things quiet down and your heartbeat eases.
It's true; Miranda is the more terrifying force of nature. At the same time, however...
You feel oddly safe to be this close to her.
“Well... I'm not scared right now...” you quietly admit.
Her pointer comes underneath your chin and lifts it so you are looking straight into her hypnotic blue eyes. How is this color even real...
“And why is that?” Miranda asks, her wings coming around you both. They're curtains of black, cutting out some of the storm's sounds.
You want nothing more in this moment than to run your fingers through each individual feather.
You lick your lips. That's...not a question you can answer if you want the balance in your arrangement with her to remain.
Perhaps, though, the scales have tilted for you long ago. You just haven't been brave enough to admit it.
You have the courage to face it now when she leans down and covers your lips with hers, warm in a manner you never imagined she could be.
Her wings pull tighter around you and your mouths slide more firmly together. Lipbalm and creamy lipstick mix, tongues brush, tasting of wine. You are shaking so bad on the inside from how much you want this, more of this, the rumbling of the thunder be damned.
Miranda's palm cups your flaming cheek when she pulls back, perfectly composed and staring at you with a little smirk in place.
You dare to turn a little, lay a tiny kiss on the inside of her wrist, beyond her rings and accessories.
You aren't very fond of storms, but...
You willingly walk right into the eye of this one.

Note
I would for sure read a continuation of the birth photographer fic if you feel comfortable writing it/have time! Xx
Tumblr media
a/n sorry I kinda combined these two together, I hope this is okay!! sorry ive taken so long too!! my requests are still open, just going a bit slowly :)
summary: literally just birth + harry
dad!tom x reader
warnings: childbirth, mentions of fainting, squint for suggestiveness too
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“Your doing so good darling, just keep breathin’ like that for me, in-out-in-out”
That had pretty much been the soundtrack to your last 3 hours. And yes it was MORE annoying than it sounds. Of course, that’s also ignoring the insane amount of pain your uterus was putting you through - as it spasmed while the little bug in there was wriggling away. Giving birth was not easy but giving birth with a husband-turned-midwife wittering away in your ear? Un-fucking-bearable.
“Tom…. I love you but..” Everything had really been starting to ramp up in the last half an hour, you were a panting sweaty mess now. “Please… SHUT THE FUCK UP” Tom would’ve recoiled completely away from the bed because of your tone, if it wasn’t for the absolute death grip you had his right hand in. Instead,  Tom settled for straightening straight up and staring helplessly and dejectedly across the room at his brother - who of course was trying to hold back laughter, knowing it would be very easy for you to switch your target to him.
Clearly it wasn’t a social call to the hospital, Harry was here under the premise of taking photos when the baby arrives for Tom;  but really to stop his brother from having his own breakdown - as commissioned by you. Lets just say, however scared and mortified Harry was of this ‘event’ he was taking a lot of enjoyment from how his brother was acting currently.
“It’s okay sir, if you were pushing a watermelon out of hole that normally was the size of a whiteboard marker, I’m sure you’d be a bit tetchy too.” That lady was your favourite midwife and in a lull between the sets of contractions, you actually managed a laugh. Wide-eyed, Tom just nodded jerkily, murmuring some sort of agreement. It was at this point a flash of light reverberated around the whole room, causing you to breathlessly laugh, Harry’s face informing you the picture he just got of Tom was priceless.
The laughter didn’t last long though, the next contraction had you bearing down on the bed, face contorted in pain as you sucked desperately on the gas and air tube.
“Okay Y/n I think we might be getting there, let me call the senior midwifes in okay?” The midwife had your legs hiked apart, a blanket attempting to cover your modesty - but at this point she was basically sticking her face in your noon. Modesty was out the window.
“Already?” Tom was shocked to say the least, from all his reading and research he’d learnt that the average labour time was more like 5 hours. Lets just say, Tom never exceled in school, never much enjoyed reading - which made the hours of highlighting baby books and pregnancy leaflets all the more extraordinary.
“Babies don’t stick to the script sir.” You could tell she was proud of the pun there, because you know, Tom’s a moviestar. “Professional improvisers, the lot of them.”
The cream walls of the hospital room very quickly filled with more and more people - Harry staying like a fly on the wall, now nervously biting his nails as he watched an obscene amount of medical people all take their turn oggling his sister-in-law’s bits. This was a weird ass situation.
Almost immediately it was at the point the midwifes were telling you to push, which after 9 months of holding a baby in (as well as your ill functioning bladder) sounded like an absolute dream. But it was also absolutely terrifying and exciting and horrifying all wrapped in one. Naturally then, after nodding hesitantly at the midwife between your legs, you’d craned your neck across to tom .You might’ve just told him off, for trying to encourage you, but now? You needed his encouragement.
What met you though, was his face completely drained of colour, mouth hanging slightly open as he hadn’t moved - still staring intently at the midwife. She followed your gaze, only taking half a second to survey the situation before knowingly smiling.
“Can we get a bit of help for dad please?” Immediately one of the more junior looking midwives was directing (pushing) Tom into the chair next to the floor. Suddenly actually concerned, you looked with wide eyes to the lady between your legs, who you felt bad for not remembering her name. With a comforting squeeze of your ankle she reassured you he’d be right as rain after a few moments of having his head between his knees. Also sensing you needed your support, she arched up, beckoning over to Harry who had an equally bemused look on his face.
“No - I-um I’m not.” His squeaking protests were interrupted by a large scream on your part, as another contraction tore through your body. Helplessly Harry glanced between Tom, who was still hunched over on a chair with a nurse squatted infront of him; and you, writhing around on the mechanical bed. He didn’t hesitate then, in jumping right to your side, allowing you to start crushing all the bones in his hand too.
And then it was all happening, a blur of activity and screams. It didnt take long for Tom to pull himself together and then you were flanked on both sides by Holland boys - both giving cheesy encouraging words (which you would’ve again told them to shut the fuck up for, if you’d been able to), Tom also stroking the top of your head. He found it pretty impossible, watching the woman that he loved go through such immense pain - especially when he was technically half the cause. Well… actually more that that, it had been him who had been… well shall we say *needy* those nine months ago.
“Okay Y/n the heads crowning, I know you’re tired but we need a few more big pushes, can you do that for me?”
Merely 5 minutes later and the most beautiful sound in the world echoed through the 4 creams walls. You were absolutely spent, eyes closed as you panted, knowing tears were flooding down your face too. Immediately though, familiar hands cupped both sides of your face, a forehead resting on yours.
“You did it Y/n/n.” His eyes were glassy, watering and red and the way he scoffed a smile in disbelief had you mirroring him exactly.
“We did it.” Your voice was hoarse and scratchy from all the yells of pain but it didnt matter. The midwife calling you by the name ‘mum and dad’ got both of your attention, a title you’d no doubt start getting used to.
“Meet your beautiful baby girl.” Another choked sob escaped your throat, as  this little roughly wrapped up pink alien looking thing was placed onto your chest. Both you and Tom just gazed at her, completely transfixed at the way she wriggled her head slightly, nuzzling into your chest. Tom gently hovered his palm against her little head, while you pressed down the blanket gently, just so you could see all her features.
Then a flash echoed around the otherwise silent room, making you all look up to Harry who was gritting his teeth in apology. “Do mum and dad want to smile for the camera?” The question was posed so hesitantly and quietly, really it wasn’t funny either. That didn’t stop you and Tom both pulling out the biggest grins and chuckling away, allowing Harry to capture the perfect moment. Being referred to as mum and dad - it was bloody comical.
“You gonna tell me her name now?”  You looked from Harry to Tom, nodding in approval for him to spill the beans.
“Amber. She’s Amber.”
You’d squabbled for months before ending on Amber. It had been a long relentless process, Tom claiming that your baby might just have ended up as ‘as yet untitled’ which you and your hormonal state had stormed out at. It hadn’t taken much to forgive it though, Tom had long since worked out that Ben and Jerrys was the way to your heart.
The nurses took Amber back to do some tests, properly cleaning both you and her up and after that everything was weirdly calm. Harry had left to give the twothree of you a moment alone and Tom was about to do his turn of skin to skin.
“This really is it isn’t it?” He murmured, whilst carefully scooping Amber from your arms.
“Mhmmm… your stuck with two girls who’ll go psycho on you without a moments notice.” He seemed to accept it though, just nodding in response.
“And I still can’t bloody wait.” His eyes penetrating deep into you, had you blushing like a nervous teenage girl. “ ‘m still so proud of you, you grew this little human.”
“Your not allowed to call her little because you didnt have the ‘little’ thing rip your insides apart.”
“Hey! I’m upset about it too! Was like I had to watch my favourite pub being burnt down.” Of course, trust Tom to make a dirty joke at a time like this.
“Don’t kid yourself, you weren’t watching, too busy fainting.”
“I didn’t actually faint!” This time he protested a bit too loudly, causing Amber to mewl a little and bury her head into the crook of her Dads arm. “I think Ambers just told you to shut it too.”
“You annoy the hell out of…” Your grumbling was interrupted by an impressive, ear-splitting yawn. “ You annoy the hell out of me.”
“But you love me?” He sing-songed, now back to a hushed tone.
“I hope so, otherwise we’re in a bit of trouble.” He scoffed, but nodded his head, taking the hand that wasn’t cradling Amber to tuck some sweaty, knotted strands of hair behind your ear.
“I do owe Harry though, he was at least able to stay on his feet.”
“He was a better birthing partner than you too, much much less condescending and annoying.” You sniggered, making Tom pout once again, only wiping the look off his face when you yawned again, rubbing an your eye like a toddler would.
“If your done insulting me… get some rest love, I got you.” All you did was nod, with a small groan (because below your waist still hurt like a bitch) rolled over so you could fall asleep to sight of the two of them.
“Got you both, my two beautiful girls.”
hope you enjoyed, would love to hear any thoughts <3

A Little Rest II
Characters: Xiao, Zhongli, gn!reader
Word Count: 2,104
Warnings: Swearing
Premise: Sometimes life is just unbearably tiring. And a comforting shoulder can be the perfect substitute pillow. In which the reader falls asleep on their partner.
Author’s Note: Second part!!! I realize the first didn’t get a ton of traction, unfortunately, but hopefully, this’ll still be welcomed. I realize since most of these are basically pseudo fics, would you guys prefer it to be bullet-pointed or paragraphed? I’m just wondering if one format is easier or more pleasant to read than the other.
Also, adepti’s rules and personal needs are kinda nebulous to me so I sort of made them up myself. Watches also weren’t a thing until the 1800s, and specifically didn’t really become a thing in China until the mid-20th century. But this is fantasy so I do what I want.
Xiao
You loved Xiao more than you could say. Every little moment spent with him made your heart flutter, every habit of his that you’d noticed, every little way he revealed his soul to you.
It seemed so improbable to you sometimes, than an adeptus, someone so very disconnected from the world of humans, should choose to love you. Although Xiao would never let you think you were any lesser than him, would never let his nature put you down, you were still somewhat in awe of the whole setup, and little reminders of his adepti status often brought you back to when you two had first begun to fall in love, when Xiao had explained that he didn’t quite understand the human way of life.
And one of those things that he didn’t understand appeared to be the concept of sleep itself.
It wasn’t that Xiao didn’t know what sleep was. Nor was he unable to sleep, he once told you. Theoretically he could sit down and take a nap much like any normal human. It was more that he didn’t need to sleep, and didn’t see the need to do something that took up so much time and left one so vulnerable.
Not that he didn’t pay attention to your needs; he wasn’t about to disrupt your sleep schedule on purpose, in fact you often joked that Xiao cared more about your rest than you did. It was only that, after spending so many years simply not thinking about things like sleep, it became hard for him to suddenly remember that he had a partner who needed said sleep every day. And a day was oh so short in Xiao’s mind.
It was a beautiful evening at the Wangshu Inn. The air was warm without being stifling and a breeze blew, light and cool. You were on the roof with Xiao, the place that had become your normal meeting spot. For as much as Xiao adored you with every fiber of his soul, he was still an adeptus, and his comfort level around most humans was that of an anxious cat – always ready to bolt.
Besides, the roof of the Inn was such a lovely place to relax. You gazed at Xiao’s profile as he looked up at the stars, noticing the way that the wind ruffled his hair slightly, the way his posture seemed so relaxed, so comfortable. One of his hands was clasping yours, fingers linked together, his palm nice and warm; the other pointed out constellations to you, each bearing a story, some which had long been forgotten by the residents of Liyue.
It wasn’t often that Xiao was so talkative, so open. Although he still barely mentioned his past – keeping that part of himself shut away with only the occasional crack through which you might learn of his sorrows – he’d become much more willing to disclose his everyday thoughts to you, as well as share stories that he knew. The latter was something you always loved to listen to, not just because the stories he told were always interesting and so full of life, but also because they gave you the sense of knowing him better, something that always made you happy.
Unfortunately, tonight was one night where, though you were more than happy to listen to Xiao talk about the stars, you were kind of dying of fatigue. A headache slipped in and out of your consciousness, and you found it more and more difficult to concentrate on Xiao’s words, finding they were all melting together into some semi-coherent monologue.
Your fatigue must’ve been very apparent, for when Xiao glanced over at you his whole demeanor changed; the carefree look on his face was gone, replaced with one of slight confusion and definitive worry. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine!” You shook your head. “Just a bit tired, that’s all.”
“Then you should rest.” Xiao squeezed your hand slightly before moving to stand up. However, as tired as you were, you cared more about spending time with him, and weren’t about to cut said time short.
“Wait!” You exclaimed, causing Xiao to pause, looking at you in a puzzled way. You smiled, slightly sheepish, but pressed forward. “I’ll be fine. If you don’t mind though, may I, uh, may I lay my head on your shoulder.” You gazed up at him, but inside you were struck with the urge to suddenly look away. Xiao was still a bit reticent with affection, not that it bothered you. He’d told you that he was simply unused to it, not averse to it. You weren’t about to pressure him into anything though, no matter the cause, and thus you waited for his response, hoping your expression conveyed that it’d be perfectly fine if he declined.
Your worries proved to be without ground however, for Xiao’s expression grew only fonder. Lying back down he gestured towards you. You gladly scooted closer to him, laying your head on his shoulder, hand once more in his. “You were saying about the boar constellation.” You murmured.
Xiao smiled, kissing the top of your head, before once more going on speaking about the stars. You smiled too, allowing his stories to carry you off to sleep, your head already swirling with half formed dreams about creatures who walked among the stars.
Xiao listened to your breathing even out, still talking a little after it seemed you’d dozed off, making sure that the sudden stop of his voice didn’t wake you up.
Gazing down at your peaceful face he pondered for a moment how much his life had changed so quickly. Even a month ago the idea that he would become friends with a human seemed impossible, much less that he would fall in love with one.
When he’d first met you it was as if something that had been frozen inside him for a long time began to thaw. He was terrified at first, terrified of you, terrified of himself, terrified of the unknown that loomed before him like a vast chasm. It had taken every ounce of courage to hold your hand at first, and every ounce of courage for every step after that.
But he would do it again if he had to, for being with you was the best part of his long, often cruel life. And he would do anything to protect you, anything to make sure you were comfortable and happy and healthy.
“Goodnight.” He spoke softly. Up above the stars kept silent vigil along with him. Tomorrow would be a bright new day, but for now he was simply going to enjoy the moment he’d been given with you.
 Zhongli
For someone who’d lived thousands of years, you’d think Zhongli would remember that tea had to be decaffeinated sometimes.
Not that you could really blame him for forgetting. After all it’s not like he needed to pay attention to whether or not his tea was caffeinated. To one of the Seven sleep was something more akin to a perk than a necessity. Sure, it was nice to sleep. But it’s not like Zhongli was going to feel regret if he accidentally downed five cups of tea right before midnight and spent the rest of night starting at the ceiling, wondering where he went wrong.
Unfortunately, you were definitively not a god, and did, in fact, need sleep. So, when you found yourself staring out the window at 5 am, having long come to the conclusion that sleep was just not going to happen, the emotion going through your mind was something more akin to: “Oh. Fuck.”
This turned into an “Oh you’ve got to be fucking kidding me” when you saw the list of your daily commissions. Yeah, someone had to go to Jueyun Karst and Qingyun Peak to collect Cor Lapis, and considering your relationship with Zhongli and the adepti it should’ve been unsurprising that you were going to be the one to do it. But your sleep addled brain was having a difficult time processing things logically, and all you saw when you looked at the list Katheryne gave you was the fact that today was going to hurt.
Your prediction turned out to be only too true. No adepti came to ask why you were mining outside their front doors – honestly what would you even respond to something like that – but the amount of treasure hunters that ran into you began to feel less like a likely coincidence, considering the location, and more like a targeted attack. Thankfully there was nothing you couldn’t handle, but by the end of your expedition you were more than ready to go home and take a nap.
Hurrying through the rest of your day, barely responding to the people you interacted with, by the time you’d finally finished up with your adventuring duties you felt like the most irritated person on the planet.
Arriving home, throwing your pack haphazardly onto the floor you almost tripped and fell flat on your face in your hurry to get to the bedroom. Not bothering to take off your adventuring gear you threw yourself onto the bed and quickly found yourself lost in long overdue sleep.
Zhongli glanced at his watch, frowning as he saw the lateness of the hour. The sun was already beginning to set, and though he’d walked as fast as possible, he still found himself feeling vaguely guilty about being so late. You two hadn’t spoken much in the morning, you’d seemed a bit restless and hurried out right after breakfast, so Zhongli was anxious to spend as much time with you after work as possible.
“Darling?” He called out, walking into the home you two shared. He glanced around uncertainly, surprised that you hadn’t greeted him at the door. The sight of your pack sprawled about the hallway only made him more confused, and vaguely alarmed, and he hurried down the hall, checking each room to see if you were there.
His worry immediately faded upon seeing you, curled up above the covers, evidently fast asleep. Unsure as to whether or not to wake you up he instead headed towards the kitchen, thinking you might like something when you got up.
You woke up in the dark, something that surprised you. You’d been out for a long time. Seeing that the door had been opened you shuffled down the hall, still a bit groggy from the extended nap you’d just taken.
Zhongli smiled as you entered the kitchen. “Did you have a good nap my darling?” He asked, kissing you on the forehead. You nodded sleepily, propping yourself up by your elbows on the counter. Zhongli chuckled. “Here, something to warm you up.”
Yours eyes widened as the cup of tea was placed in front of you. For a moment there was silence, then you glanced back at him.
“Zhongli?”
“Yes?”
“Uhm, is this tea, well, does it by any chance have caffeine in it?”
The look on Zhongli’s face was enough to make you burst into giggles. Perplexion melted into realization, which evidently caused some sort of embarrassment, for the former god blushed a bright shade of red before bringing his hand to cover his mouth.
“Ah, I see. That’s why you were so tired this morning.”
“It’s alright.” You finally replied, the initial fit of giggles having passed. “I know that you don’t have to think about these sorts of things normally. Only me making the same mistake two times in a row would be a bit hilarious, wouldn’t you think” You placed a kiss on Zhongli’s cheek, finally causing him to calm down a bit.
“I suppose you’re right. I’m sorry. Next time I promise to pay more attention.”
“Thank you.” You smiled, fatigue coming back after the initial burst of energy. Leaning into Zhongli’s neck you sighed slightly.
“Still tired?” Zhongli asked, voice soft and caring.
“Yeah, a bit.” You admitted. Zhongli nodded, before scooping you up.
Carrying you over to the couch you both settled in a bit. Zhongli began humming a sort of lullaby, and you smiled despite yourself. “You’re too good for me.” You mumbled.
“Nonsense.” Came Zhongli’s reply, just as full of love and affection. “You’re too good for me. And I won’t hear otherwise.”
“If you say so.” You replied, too tired to really fire back, already drifting off.
“I do. It’s only the truth.” And with that he began to hum again. As you fell asleep one last thought lingered in your mind.
If such contentment comes from staying up too late, then I’d be glad to do it again.

Commission for @wombatking!! They asked for some Chloenette fic, and I was very happy to oblige (even went over my word count before I forced myself to stop lol). Find my commission information here
Two notes for this fic: The main five heroes (Marinette, Adrien, Chloe, Alya, and Nino) all know each other's identities, and Adrien's bodyguard is named Gilbert bc I say so.
Under a cut for length!
~~
“Miraculous Ladybug!”
The black and red spotted handbag spun off into the atmosphere, dazzling the city with bright lights and reversing the damage of the most recent akuma (a poor retail worker who’d had enough and had gone on a rampage through town, turning people into merchandise). Not that you could even see the repairs, given how the rain was still basically just a sheet of water.
Ladybug turned to Chat Noir, offering him a smile through the storm. “Pound it,” they chorused, bumping fists.
“As much as I love our hangouts, m’lady,” Chat said, leaning on his staff with a grin, “if we stay out much longer, we might drown.”
Ladybug snorted and took a step towards the edge of the roof, opening her mouth to respond.
She felt it – the moment her foot hit the loose roof tile. The way the slickness of the rain dragged it, and her, towards to the edge. She fumbled for her yo-yo, eyes wide, but her hand slipped away as her back hit the roof and her teeth clacked in her mouth.
Chat’s pole flung itself in front of her and she swung for it, felt the cold metal slide away from her fingers in the torrential storm, and the world dropped from under her.
Falling in movies took forever. In real life, it was seconds. Without her super suit, she knew she would’ve been much worse off. As it was, her ankle flared in pain as she hit the alleyway pavement and she gasped, instantly curling over herself and clinging to the obviously broken appendage.
Chat Noir landed next to her in a panic, his back shielding her from the street. “Shit, shit, are you okay?”
“Absolutely not,” Ladybug gasped.
Chat shifted, glancing behind them. “Claws in.”
“Spots off.”
Adrien set a hand on Marinette’s back and pulled out his phone as Tikki and Plagg dove into Marinette’s purse for food. “I’ll call Gilbert, get him to pull the car around. I’m sure he’s looking for me anyhow,” he snorted. “We’ll take you to the hospital and call your parents there.”
Marinette thumped her head back on the brick behind her. “Ugh. Even in my fucking costume, I’m still somehow a klutz.”
Adrien snickered, easing her to her good foot and letting her lean heavily against him while he put his phone to his ear. “I’m saying nothing, Chloe is gonna give you enough of an earful for both of us.”
“Aw, fuck.”
~~
“You fell off a roof?!” her girlfriend whisper shrieked as she stormed into the hospital room.
Marinette was somehow not shocked that Chloe had gotten to the ER faster than her parents – that girl could be scary when it came to traffic.
Adrien, lounging in the corner with Plagg asleep on his shoulder, snorted. “The official story is she fell off the curb. But yes, of course she had to do it after she fixed the city. I’ll give you two a second.”
He took Plagg and left, leaving Chloe to bolt to Marinette’s side and brush her bangs off her forehead, nose wrinkling. “Babe, you’re soaking wet,” she whined. “Didn’t these dumb nurses try to dry you off at all?”
Marinette rolled her eyes and grabbed at Chloe’s hand, kissing her knuckles softly. “I’m fine,” she promised. “Really. Just a little sore, but once I get through surgery and have some Tylenol I’ll be fine.”
“You fell off a roof,” Chloe hissed again, gesturing to Marinette’s very black and blue foot. “You are NOT fine.”
“I was Ladybug at the time.”
“And you STILL BROKE IT.”
“Touché.”
Chloe rolled her eyes and looked at Tikki in exasperation. “Back me up here.”
Tikki giggled and shook her head. “Oh no, I know better than that. I’m gonna go find Plagg and Adrien.”
She bolted at Marinette’s nod, and Chloe sighed, pushing her forehead against Marinette’s. “Don’t scare me like that,” she whispered.
Marinette bit down a protest and lifted her chin to press a kiss to Chloe’s forehead. “I’m sorry.”
“Oh, you will be. Especially when you’re on those horrid, horrid, crutches.”
“I swing around on a yo-yo every day, how hard can crutches be?”
~~
Very hard, as it turned out.
They hurt her back and her palms and her fingers and her armpits, they were clunky, and one wrong move had them toppling over.
Her father drove her to school and helped her ease up the stairs and into the building before heading back home. It was only then that Marinette realized just how many stairs there were in her school.
“All right, Dupain-Cheng, let’s go.” Chloe’s voice was all the warning Marinette got before she was being swooped up bridal style with a yelp, clinging to her girlfriend’s neck as Adrien, directly behind her, caught her crutches with a sly grin.
“Y-You-! I’m…I can-!”
“Absolutely not,” Chloe protested, “no way. You’re being carried and you’ll like it.”
Marinette squeaked and pressed her face into Chloe’s shoulder, face burning by the time they got to Miss Bustier’s room and she found that Adrien had switched seats with Chloe, and Nino was now sitting next to Alya. “You guys didn’t have to switch everything around for me!” she complained as Chloe settled her into Nino’s former seat, complete with chair cushion and stool to prop her foot on.
“Girl, she would kill us if we didn’t,” Alya said with a roll of her eyes. “And she didn’t even have to threaten us, we wanted to help.”
“Well thanks, but not EVERYONE had to switch their seats!”
“If you think for a second I’d let Adrikins help you and not me, you’re insane,” Chloe scoffed. “These losers have no idea what they’re doing, and I’m not going to let them get you in even worse shape.”
Adrien just looked confused. “Um. I’m sorry?”
“Apology accepted.”
Chloe planted herself in Adrien’s old seat, her smile bright and mischievous, warm in a way that made Marinette flush and stammer the way she used to when she first realized she was crushing on the girl. “You’re stuck with me at least until you’re healed, Dupain-Cheng. Better get used to it.”
Her kiss was quick and light, and Marinette barely had time to register it before Chloe raising her hand to shout out, “Here!” to Miss Bustier’s roll call.
She did, however, take the opportunity to reach her own hand out and lace their fingers together under the table. If she was going to sit next to her girlfriend and be distracted and in pain for the next two months, she should at least get to hold her hand.

I Like You, Idiot!
Genshin x Oblivious!Reader
Character: Xiao
Gender: Female
A/N: Ok but imagine,,,, Tsundere Xiao,,,,,, and that is basically the summary of this one. Kind of. You’re a part of the Traveler’s Party in this one! Imagine you have whatever Vision you wanna have, and whatever weapon!
Tumblr media
You sat on a stool in Liyue Harbor, happily taking a sip of your tea. Xiao sat next to you, the two of you waiting for Traveller to return from doing their commission. They were currently running around the city, doing whatever non-fighting commissions they had to take care of while the party was here. They also took QiQi with them, because the little zombie child clung to the Traveller like an older sibling. So that just left you and Xiao. You took another sip of your tea and sighed, before placing the cup down on the table in front of you.
“This is nice. So, Xiao, what do you think we’ll get to do next? I mean, after that whole fight with Osial (The big water snake thing in Act 3, I looked up the name guys don’t worry I gotchu) and Zhongli.. I’m sort of curious as to what crazy adventures they have next for us!” You giggled, twirling a strand of hair around your finger. (I want you guys to pretend you have long hair; at least in terms of side bangs at least. If you want your hair to be shorter or longer in the back, that’s fine, but in the front you have two long strands of hair, any texture you please) Xiao turned to stare at you, the usual uncaring expression on his face.
“I’m just hoping it’s not as dangerous as this one. I can hold myself in a battle pretty well, but the Traveller is still just getting a hang of their powers, and one slip-up could easily be their downfall. And you... you need to be more careful, if you were to get hurt that would be a liability to the team.” The adeptus snapped out, and you laughed to yourself, completely missing his underlying point. It sounded like a straightforward message to you, and you smiled at Xiao.
“Yeah yeah, I understand. Don’t worry! I’ll try my best not to get in you guys’ way, I may not be the best with my (weapon) and (element) Vision, but I was good enough to get on the team, yeah?” Xiao huffed, before turning back around and crossing his arms. He knew that you had missed his point entirely, and he grumbled about it to himself. Now he was going to have to try a different tactic.
The trip to Guili Plains from Liyue took about half a week, since it was a very long way. Traveller helped halve the trip to the time it was by taking the party through various shortcuts they knew of. During the trip, Traveller talked with Xiao a lot, and the adeptus responded in his own usual way. Somehow, you took this as them flirting, and your eyes would sparkle with excitement at the prospect. You decided that you would do your best to support them however you could, completely unaware of their true plans. On the trip, Traveller and Xiao had actually been discussing how best to help him confess to you, because Traveller had figured it out a while ago. How they did that, Xiao didn’t know, but he wouldn’t pass up on an opportunity to get you to notice. Unfortunately, they did not know that this was having an opposite effect on you.
After a harrowing fight with a ruin guard, one that Xiao managed to almost kill immediately, he rushed over to you, who had just barely escaped getting clipped by an aimed rocket. Traveller brought QiQi over, who immediately began her healing process for you. Xiao, however, was upset. And that visibly showed, but as anger.
“You idiot! You need to be more careful, why did you think it was a good idea to use (elemental skill)?! You know that one takes too long to charge, and the guard was already aiming for you!” You looked down, a frown on your face.
“I’m sorry! I thought I could-”
“You thought you could, but you didn’t! What if it hit closer to you?! You could have died-!” Everyone went silent at Xiao’s outburst, all shocked at the way his voice cracked. You looked up to him, eyes wide, but he turned around before you could see his face, and he huffed, disappearing into green Anemo particles. (Yknow, like Venti did at the beginning of the game! I have no idea if he can actually do this but it’d be cool if he could) The rest of you looked at each other, before Traveller stood.
“I’ll go check on him, QiQi, you stay here and make sure she’s healed.” They stated, before taking off in the direction that Xiao disappeared in. Now it was just you and the little zombie girl. The both of you were silent, until the child spoke up.
“You’re all healed now... please be more careful next time... Xiao would hate to see you hurt like this again...” You frowned, crossing your arms and looking away from QiQi.
“Why would he even care? He likes the traveller, not me.” QiQi stared at you, silent. After a couple of moments, she slowly shook her head. You blinked, before tilting your head in confusion.
“He.. doesn’t like the Traveller?” Another head shake, “no”. Your eyes widened, and you put a hand to your chin. Then you reached over and hugged the zombie child.
“I have to think about this one, thanks QiQi. For the healing too.”
With the traveller, they’d found Xiao, about a mile away from where they fought the Ruin Guard, sitting on top of a broken pillar.
“Xiao...”
“She doesn’t understand.., why doesn’t she understand? You’re at least as strong as me, so you won’t get hurt as easily, QiQi is a zombie so she can’t die a second time... why can’t she understand that she’s just a mortal? Why... why won’t she understand that I can’t lose her?!” The adeptus exclaimed, slamming his fist into the pillar he sat upon. It cracked slightly, and small pieces of debris fell from it. The traveller moved closer, worry in their eyes.
“I’m sure she knows this as well as we do Xiao. But she’s trying her best, so she can be as good as us. I’m sure she must feel inferior...”
“But she shouldn’t-!”
“But what if she does?!” Traveller interrupted Xiao’s shout with one of their own. The two now locked eyes, burning emotions visible in both of their orbs. Traveller continued to speak.
“You said it yourself, she’s not as strong as we are. But I’m sure she wants to be. She wants to keep up with us or she’ll feel left behind.” The blonde smiled sadly, seeming to remember something.
“I know how that feels, my sibling was always the better one of us. I always felt as though I wouldn’t be as good as them, even if we were practically equal in power. And I’m always worried for them. If I lost my power when I first came here, did they? Are they in danger? Are they dead? I don’t know, and I intend to find out, whatever it takes. But I do know how she feels, Xiao. So.. go talk to her.” Xiao blinked, and moved a hand up to his face, to scrub away the redness and tears from earlier.
“Thanks..” He muttered, before vanishing again. Traveller sighed, their mood immediately shifting from one of sadness to one of annoyance. They wished that they could teleport as easily as this adeptus bastard, now they had to walk-
~~~~~
Back with QiQi, you sat in the grass, picking flowers with her as you waited for Xiao and the traveller to return. It had been a while, and you hoped that they were both okay. You got your answer when Xiao materialised in front of you, startling you and causing you to drop the flowers you’d been collecting.
“Woah! Where’d you-?”
“QiQi, can you go meet traveller? They’re about a mile that way.” The little zombie child nodded, before taking off towards the direction of her sibling-figure. Now that left just you and Xiao, and the two of you sat in silence for a couple moments. Then, the adeptus spoke up.
“I am....sorry for yelling at you like that. You got hurt because I couldn’t protect you, and that upset me, and I... I lost my temper. So... I apologise.” Xiao didn’t meet your eyes as he said this, instead pointedly looking at the ground near your leg, since you still sat in the grass. You looked up at him, searching his face for... you didn’t know what you were looking for.
“It’s okay. I’m sorry too, I should’ve been more careful. I know I’m not as strong as you, or the traveller. I got ahead of myself..” Xiao shook his head, going over to you and kneeling down. His hands grasped yours, holding them close to him. He held you tightly, afraid to let go, like he would lose you if he let go.
“No, no.. it’s.. you may not be as strong as us, but you’re strong enough! And you can get even stronger! You’ve.... you’re strong enough already to be on this adventure with us, and I.. I’m glad you are. I wouldn’t know what to do without you here. I just.... ugh, this is so dumb..” Xiao cursed under his breath, looking away before looking you dead in your eyes.
“I really like you, you idiot. So, please, stop being such a dummy and go out with me? I swear I’ll protect you even better this time.” Your eyes widened, and your mouth stood agape. What? Xiao liked... you??? Not Traveller? I mean, QiQi had hinted towards as much, but you didn’t actually think.... You could feel your face heating up as you blushed, and the only sounds that came from your mouth were stutters. Xiao shook his head, chuckling to himself.
“You don’t have to answer right now. I just.. I needed to tell you.” He the stood up, pulling you with him. By then, QiQi and Traveller had returned, and you were still at a loss for words.
“Okay guys! Let’s keep going! I know a Fatui skirmisher that needs to be beaten into a pulp!” Traveller exclaimed, and then the four of you were off. You were left to think about Xiao’s words, your face flushing every time you did. You were still in shock that the adeptus liked you, of all people. How do you process this?
How would you respond?
A/N: Omg this one was unnecessarily hard to write, and I got caught up in holiday stuff... anyways, happy 2021 everybody!
Todoroki, Shinsou and Iida protecting you
Request: Hello can I request todo, shinsou and iida protecting their girlfriend from cat callers or something like that? Basically her being in a really uncomfortable situation and even though she is a fearless hero in the field because of past trauma she freezes up in these situations? Thank you - anonymous
This post might trigger some people since they might have experienced something similar both in the cat calling and past trauma department. I’ve never really written anything so serious and triggering before so this might suck. I’m sorry in advance. So TW beware. Love yaa.💖💖💖
rules
warnings: trauma, PTSD, semi non-con but not explicit, cat-calling, harassment, ends in fluff
Todoroki Shouto
Tumblr media
-Shouto is really protective of you.
-Not an overbearing type of protective, he just wants you to be safe and sound.
-Also he knew about your abusive past.
-When he shared his family background you shared your own trauma and history with physical abuse.
-It hurt him to hear you saying that someone you trusted, someone who used to be in his place, betrayed you like that.
-If he could find your ex and beat him to a plump because of how he scarred you, he would.
-But you reassured him that you were alright now, that he showed you what being loved felt like even though he himself didn’t really know how to love and that your past is what pushed you to be a hero.
-Your relationship lasted even after high school and now, one year into the adult world, you two lived together.
-It had been a tough day for your boyfriend at work, having to fight three major villain attacks and a mountain of paper work to tackle.
-Fighting along side you was the highlight of his day.
-He was the first to arrive at your apartment and had gotten to preparing dinner for you when his phone rang.
-You smiled back at him from the screen as he accepted the call.
- “Hey, love. I making so-”
- “Sho someone is following me.”
-He heard the panic in your voice and immediately turned off the stove walking to the door to put on his shoes.
- “Y/N where are you?”
-You gave him your location and he was out the door in no time.
-He kept you on the phone, talking to you, trying to restrain your panic.
- “H-he was outside of the pharmacy near the a-agency.”
-You never stuttered, oh god he was going to kill the man.
- “I walked past him and he grabbed my arm a-and pushed me on the w-wall. Shouto he tried to t-touch me.”
-He was running now, his rage making his quirk go crazy as flames rose from his left shoulder.
- “Baby I’m almost there, go into the convenience store on the corner and wait in there.”
-Your weak okay from the other line pushed him further.
-He knew how certain acts reminded you of your ex, even after all these years.
-They would send you into a small panic and even though you were one of the top upcoming heroes , you were still human at the end of the day your own past haunting you.
-He was always there to chase those fears and memories away, never letting them get to close to you.
-And now that’s exactly what he has set out to do; chase away the man who tried to hurt you.
-Rounding the corner he was met with a sight he wished to never ever witness again.
-It seems that you hadn’t made it into the store when he hang up and he slapped himself for not keeping you on the call for longer.
-He heard your sobs as the man had you pinned to the wall his hand trying to unzip your jeans.
-Shouto was fuming.
-Without a second thought he grabbed the man by his jacket and shoved him to the ground, grabbing your elbows to steady you before pushing you gently behind him as the man stood up.
- “Want a taste of her too boy?”
- “Get the fuck away from her!”
-Shouto kept one of his arms behind him pressing you onto his back as the other activated his quirk frost forming from his elbow to his palm.
-He could feel your trembling as you clutched onto his shirt, on of your hands grasping his own squeezing it.
-The man backed away at the sight of Shouto’s ice raising his hands in the air admitting defeat.
-Shouto however had other plans.
-Freezing the man on the spot he growled as he fished his phone out of his pocket and called the police reporting what the man had done and his location.
- “If I ever see you again anywhere near her I’m not going to be this kind got it?”
-And with that you two left as the police sirens sounded in the distance.
-Back in your apartment, Shouto helped you get undressed and then ran you a bath, wiping away the man’s touch and leaving small kisses were his hands used to be.
-He helped you get dressed in one of his hoodies and a loose pair of sweatpants before setting you down on the couch and ordering your favorite food.
-He heard your small sniffles and sat down beside you, bringing you on his lap and letting you cry it out, rocking you back and forth as he kisses your hair.
-You calm down after some time but Shouto won’t let you leave his embrace.
- “I won’t let anyone else hurt you ever again. I don’t care where I am you will always call me when something happens. I love you.”
-For the next month or so Shouto was at your beck and call, never leaving your side and even going as far to take some days off to spend as much time with you as possible.
-He kept his promise as he kept you safe for the rest of your lives.
Shinsou Hitoshi
Tumblr media
-Hitoshi was there for you when he found out about how one of you family members had hurt you.
-He was there when you would wake up with nightmares while sleeping in his dorm.
-Or when you had panic attacks after someone came at you in a way that seemed all too familiar.
-He was there every step of the way.
-Hitoshi was really amazed at how you zoned in on your work and those thoughts never held you back.
-PTSD was hard to battle and even harder to deal with in a work place such as yours.
-After high school your panic attacks fell in numbers, leaving you to rest peacefully at night.
-Shinsou was sure he had chased your demons away, that you felt completely safe with him and that he would never see your trembles of fear ever again.
-But he was wrong.
-You two were out on a date, walking along the beach on a sunny day enjoying each others company.
-Shinsou went to buy you two ice cream leaving you to wait for him on a bench.
-You were minding your business, checking up with your agency to make sure everything is alright; after all it’s not everyday that your main two heroes are out of commission for the day.
- “Damn girl where’d ya get all that ass!”
-It came from a group of man behind you who were staring at you like a piece of meat.
-You tried to ignore them switching to your messages ready to text Hitoshi.
- “Those shorts look so tight on you sweetheart.”
- “I bet it’s not the only thing that’s tight about her.”
-You had frozen up at the nickname.
-It brought back everything you and Shinsou had managed to scare off, pushing them down your throat making your insides twist in disgust.
 -He isn’t here it’s just some awful cat callers, Y/N calm down.
-You tried to calm yourself down using your common sense, separating the two situations and pointing out the differences, a  technique Shinsou had taught you while you were still in high school.
-You were so lost in thought you hadn’t noticed the three men hovering over you, one of them reaching down to grasp your thigh.
-That’s when you started to tremble.
- “Aw look at her, she’s so excited..”
- “Let’s go have some fun pretty girl.”
- “We’ll make you feel so good you won’t be able to walk home.”
-You shoved the man’s hand away and went to get up only for an arm to snake around your waist  pulling you back down on the bench.
- “Now now sweetheart don’t be naughty.”
-You wanted Hitoshi.
-You wanted your Hitoshi so bad right now.
-And as if you had summoned him, purple hair could be seen above the men’s heads.
-Shoving them off of you one more time you pushed through hitting Shinsou’s chest as he wrapped an arm around you.
-He pushed you behind his back before scanning the three men, leveling them with a glare so sharp it could slice right through them.
- “You better leave my girl alone before I get really angry.”
-The men scrambled to their feet before running off, terrified from Hitoshi’s structure.
- “Kitten! Kitten are you alright? Did they hurt you? Please kitty talk to me.”
-Tears ran down your cheeks and Shisnou just pulled you gently into his chest before telling you that he was taking you home.
-This man will do everything in the house after that.
-He undresses you and helps into the shower to clear their touch from your skin, then he dresses you in one of his large hoodies and lays you on the couch.
-He can see you are still trembling so he comes back and takes you into his arms before going back to doing whatever he had in mind.
-Now this is a scene to behold.
-Two of Japan’s strongest heroes are walking around their house cosplaying a panda and its bamboo stick.
 -He orders take out and then lays on the couch, still having you on his lap drowning your sobs in his chest as he says over and over again how sorry he is for leaving you alone and how much he loves you.
-He knows you haven’t had an episode in what felt like ages.
-It really shook him seeing you so helpless and terrified again.
-He swore he would never see that petrified glint in your eyes.
-That was his new mission.
-And he was willing to do anything to accomplish it.
Iida Tenya
Tumblr media
-Iida is well aware about how your ex had forced you to do certain things with him.
-He also knew how you believed that what had happened had been your fault.
-He had reassured you that nothing was your fault,that your ex was to blame and to never see yourself other than the victim in this situation.
-It hurt him to see you suffer so much.
-He had provided you with a shoulder to cry on and soon enough you two were together.
-When during your last year of high school, his comfort and words didn’t really cut it he encouraged you to see a therapist.
-And that helped you a lot.
-It untangled the parts Iida couldn’t reach on his own and coupled with his support you managed to pull yourself fully out of the whole that your ex had dug.
-Now Iida knew that somethings still triggered you.
-He knew what he should and shouldn’t do while you two are being intimate and what he should watch out for.
-So when you two are taking the train to visit Deku in his agency for his birthday and he feels you squeezed his hand a little too hard he knew something was up.
-You had buried you face in his shoulder, something he wouldn’t allow if you had asked, squeezing his hand as your breathing became uneven.
-Iida looked around expecting to see your ex somewhere thinking that he was the reason for your small attack.
-But he found no one he knew in the crowd.
-Then his eyes fell back down to you and from the corner of his eye he caught movement under your dress.
-Following the source of the movement with his eyes he was met with the lustful eyes of a grown ass man, his hand under your skirt groping and squeezing you.
-He saw his hand trying to separate your thighs and that’s when he fully snapped.
-Grabbing the man’s hand he shoved it in his chest before placing himself between you and him.
- “How dare you touch her like that? You should be ashamed of yourself!!”
-The whole train was looking at the man at this point and Iida could see how the vein on his forehead popped.
- “Being an adult, you should know better.”
-Others chimed in insulting and shaming the man while others asked you if you were alright.
-At the next stop the person got off a chain of angry comments following him out.
- “Y/N honey are you alright?”
-You buried your face in his chest and he let you stay there for the rest of the ride.
-He placed on hand on your back rubbing soft circles over your sweater and talking to you not allowing your thoughts/memories to creep further into your mind.
-He kept your hand in his for as long as you were away from your apartment.
-You would squeeze his hand every now and then, grounding yourself.
-Once at home late that evening he pampered you.
-He ran you a bubble bath and cooked your favorite food.
-He made a small pillow fort on your couch while you were in the bath and he waited for you to finish.
-The rest of your day and night was spent in your boyfriend’s arms never letting you go once.
-He provided his warmth and comfort.
-Just like when you were in high  school.
(Themes of mental recovery, mentions of suicide, and more. Fair warning.)
You tried to push down everything that happened to you when you were a child. Why would you want to remember such dark times? Being raised as a killing mechine, at the order of someone who was just using you to get what they wanted, and to become the best “hero”. What a load of shit. However you were perfect for the job, fast, intelligent, quick learner, and your skills were well beyond your years.
After being in the Commission for so long, you basically went into hiding. You worked for various agencies, either as a spy or to get work done quickly for them. The money was good but it was like you never existed. The sound of your name is now foreign too your own ears. That’s how the Commission wanted it, so that’s how you had to live. You weren’t exactly thrilled with your hero name, Raven. How basic you thought, just because of your big black wings they give you a boring name. Whatever, not like it matters anyways. You’re just a soldier, waiting to be called to battle at any moment. That’s how you treated it.
It had been such a long time since you came back to your hometown, it doesn’t even feel the same too you anymore. But at least you were back to somewhere you called home at one point in your life. Later you’ll realize that it was the best thing that ever happened too you.
Hawks was flying in the sky, doing some patrolling when he saw this women walking on the street. The way her hair flowed, those beautiful y/e/c looking around at the building, and not to mention how confident she walked. He was taken back a little, feeling like he had never seen someone so beautiful before. There was something about you, he couldn’t put his finger on it. He swear he had seen you somewhere before, maybe in a past life he thought. He just watched you a bit from a high building, taking you all in.
You were standing at the crosswalk, waiting for the light to turn. A little girl next to you ran out into the street chasing after her toy she had just dropped. She was so small that the cars didn’t even see her step out into the street. Quick thinking, you pushed your wings through the back of your shirt. Flying to her, catching her into your arms before flying straight over the oncoming car. She was crying, her mother was crying, but they both thanked you so much for getting her out of the way of the car. You slowly descended to the ground, giving her back to her mother.
Hawks saw the car coming as well, he quickly dove down towards the girl but you were faster. He was shocked, looking over your wings. “She’s fast.” He thought to himself before descending down to the street as well. As he watched you speak with the girls mother, that’s when it hit him. There was a girl who was in the commission with him while he was there. Similar quirk, just as fast as him, and maybe even smarter than him. They had told Hawks that she died on a mission, he never saw her again after that. What was her name? It was something beautiful. Then it clicked. “Y/n.” He said softly to himself but you heard it.
While you were talking to the mother, you heard it. You heard your name, your real name. Your eyes shot over to the man standing on the sidewalk. You looked over him, there was only one person who had wings as bright as he does. Hawks. Hawks the number two pro hero, and he knows your real name? That can’t be possible you thought to yourself. You were quick in the air, explaining that you had somewhere to be and were off. Weaving through the buildings as fast as your wings would carry you, but you heard him behind you. “Fuck he’s fast.” You thought to yourself.
When your eyes locked with Hawks, he felt something inside himself. Something he had never felt before. Like butterflies in his stomach, or seeing someone for the first time in a while. But as quickly as you looked at him, you looked away then we’re in the air. He just had to talk with you, just to hear your voice and make sure he was right. That it was you, that his mind wasn’t playing tricks on him. So he was in the air following you. “Wait!” He yelled after you.
As you were both flying in the air, he couldn’t help but smile. You were fast, and it was a rush trying to catch up too you. Once he caught your wrist, you both lost a little bit of momentum in the air. Soon you were both falling ontop of a building, you landing right ontop of Hawks. You quickly got to your feet, pulling a feather out to harden it. “What’s the big idea!? Why would you hit us out of the sky!” You yelled at him. But Hawks just stood there wide eyed. “It is you.” He said.
Right when the feather sword was out, he knew he wasn’t just seeing things. He knew you were the girl that kept him somewhat sane while you were both at the Comission. You just gave him an odd look, you didn’t understand how the number two hero would possibly know you. Someone who is always in the shadows. “What are you talking about?” You asked him. You narrowed your eyes at him, even your pupils were in slits. “I taught you how to do that. You’re “y/n” or what the Comission named you Raven. Do you not remember me?” He asked, a little bit of hurt in his voice.
You looked down at your sword, then back at him. “He taught me this? No fucking way.” You thought to yourself. I learned how to do this on my own, didn’t I? You were completely confused, then it dawned on you. He really did say your name, a name that you haven’t heard in years. A name that was practically forgotten in your own memory. “Y/n.” You said back to him, it just sounded weird coming from your own lips. “I haven’t been called that in years, how do you know it?” You asked. Hawks started to walk up too you, you decided it was harmless to put your feather back into your left wing.
“Because you were the one that told me to never forget who we are. But it seems like you forgot your own words.” He said softly. You just kept looking at him, trying to figure out how the hell he knew it and how he knew you from the past. You sighed, letting your wings slip back into your back. “When did we meet and where?” You questioned him. “We were kids, and we were put into the “program”. He said. You almost half laughed at him. “Program? You mean the Comission? I have tried to push all my memories from when I was a child out of my head. I’m sorry, I really don’t remember.” You said back at him.
He shrugged, then he pointed out your wings. “I was the one that told you to never hide your wings. I thought they were pretty.” He said softly. Your eyes widened a little, looking over him. Sure he seemed familiar but you’ve seen him on the news countless of times. But maybe it was something more, maybe something deeper. “What’s your name then.” You asked back. That’s when Hawks stepped back a little, he has been asked so many times what his real name was but he had never told anyone. “We both know I can’t say it.” He muttered.
You smirked, looking over this man in front of you. “You know mine, only seems fair.” You said back. He rolled his eyes at you. “Come on, little bird. You know I can’t.” He said back a little more serious. You shrugged, stepping up on the ledge of the building. “Fine, I guess I’ll see you around then. Pretty bird.” You said back before diving off the building.You didn’t push your wings back out, you were just free falling. Hawks rushed over to the edge. His eyes bugging as he watched you drop to the street. He quickly spread his wings, flying down to catch you.
You were playing a game, wanted to see if he could get you too you. Which he did, gripping onto your hand to pull you too him. He was holding you tight, probably tighter than he should have been. Once you were hovering in the sky, his eyes looked furious. “This wasn’t fucking funny when we were kids! It isn’t funny now!” He yelled at you. Your smirk went away, looking at how mad he actually was. You’ve seen this look before, you could feel it.
You decided to open that can of worms, bring those horrible memories back into your mind. Not all of them, but just enough. Just enough to put those golden eyes to that handsome face, then that handsome face to a name. A name that had been pushed far back for many years. “Keigo.” You said softly. All the anger washed away from Keigos face, his eyes softened a bit as he searched your eyes. “You’re name is Keigo.” You said once again. You pushed your wings back out, pushing away from him so you could hover in the air also. “You remember?” He asks.
You smiled softly, shrugging a little. “Only a little, like I said before I try to push my time in the Comission out of my mind.” You said back. You shot him a soft smile before flying away from him a little. “Where are you going?” He asked, slight disappointment in his voice. You looked over your shoulder, a smile big on your lips. “Got places to be, pretty bird. Don’t worry this isn’t the last time you’ll see me...maybe.” You said then were off. Leaving Hawks hovering in the sky. He didn’t move, he didn’t chase after you this time. He went back over to the building, sitting down on the edge.
While he sat there he just thought about you, bringing memories of you when you were both younger back into his mind. He never had forgotten about you, just pushed it back a little. It was painful to think about how the Comission took away one of the lights of his life for so long. He recalls a memory of you both, something that had been on his mind ever since he was a boy. It was about soulmates. He had asked you one day. “What’s a soulmate?” He questioned you. You almost beamed at him, sitting closer to him. “My sister told me that it’s like a best friend but more. Like you have known this person for all your life, even if you had just met them. Someone that gives you this feeling deep within your heart that no one else can, that’s a soulmate.” You said back at him.
“How do you know you found that person?” He questioned back softly. You just smiled. “When no one can ever live up to that person, when you don’t get that feeling with anyone else.” You said back. You stood up, stretching your wings a bit before looking back at him. “I have that feeling with you.” You said with a smile on your lips. That memory always stuck with him. You were children but way more mature than any adult. Keigo thought he has lost his soulmate many years ago, that all his relationships would just be flings. But his soulmate had just come back into his life, but she doesn’t even remember that good times that they had actually spent together.
It actually hurts him inside that you pushed even the good memories out of your mind. He wants you to remember, it’s going to hurt but he will help you through it. He wants to be there for you, and just give you everything he has to offer. He understands your guarded and you put walls up but so has he. He wants to break them done with you, he wants you to remember that he is your soulmate. The person that makes you feel something you never felt before. Because you’re his and he doesn’t want you to slip away from him again.
You put on the fakest smile you could before flying away from Keigo. Your heart was beating like a dum, you could practically see it coming out of your chest. Once you were a far enough distance away, you descended onto a building. Catching your breath before looking at the sky. “Why do I feel like this?” You wondered to yourself. Why does this man have this weird affect on me. You sat down and buried your face into your hands, soft tears coming to the corners of your eyes. You feel off but not in a bad way, in a way that you can’t describe. Almost like you were finally brought back to the love of your life? No. That can’t be it. You pondered over the thought of Keigo in your mind while you watched the sun set in the distance.
It had been a few weeks since Keigo had saw you last, he even asked around about you. No one seemed to know you, which didn’t surprise him. You were supposed to be dead. So he decided to look for you himself. He didn’t know how he was going to do that, but he had to try. He searched every high bridge, every tall statue, and skyscrapers. Then he finally found you, ontop of an abandoned building. You were just looking over the city, a sense of peace in your eyes. Then quickly you dove down to the street, so he followed.
There was a high speed chase going on, you sent one of your smaller feathers to cut through the tiers. Then you noticed the villain was going straight into a family, you quickly grabbed the two smaller children. Looking back at their parents but Hawks was there, grabbing them before the car hit them. You didn’t even notice he was around you, but you were thankful. The police arrived and arrested the villains. That’s when you over heard the parents talking to each other. “If I had lost you, my soulmate...I don’t know what I would have done.” The mother said to the father. Their son pulled on your hand slightly, you knelt down to listen better. “What’s a soulmate?” He questioned you.
Hawks was near you, listening in to the conversation. A small smile coming to his lips, he walked over. He was going to give the explanation but you beat him too it. You laughed softly at the boy, a smile on your lips. “Well, when I was younger my sister told me that it’s like a best friend but more. You feel like you’ve known that person for all your life even if you just met them. A person who gives you this deep feeling in your heart.” You said then poked the small boy in the chest, which he giggled at. “That’s a soulmate, kid.” You said again. This child was beaming at you, Hawks couldn’t take his eyes off you.
“How do you know if someone is your soulmate?” He questioned again. You smiled, rubbing the top of his head. “When no one else can live up to that person. When no one else can give you that feeling.” You said then you looked at Keigo, there was a little sparkle in your eyes as you looked at him. Keigo just stood there dumbfounded at you. His heart was beating so fast, he didn’t know what to do. You gave him a soft smirk before patting the kid on his back, telling him to go be back with his parents. You slowly stood up, nodding at Keigo to follow you. Then you took off into the sky.
Keigo nodded back, taking flight. He followed you back up onto the building. You sat down, waving him to come sit next too you. You both just sat their in silence until you turned to look at him. “Why’d you look at me like that when I was talking to that kid?” You asked him. Keigo sighed a little bit, rubbing the back of his neck. “Because you’ve said that too me, when we were kids.” Your eyes went a little wide, did you really push out so many memories of Keigo. Before you could speak Keigo said something under his breath. “You said you felt that way about me...” he muttered. Why did you forget all the good memories, you were kicking yourself for this.
Keigo just looked up into the sky, watching the sun start to set. “I always thought about you, missed you, and the talk about soulmates always ran through my brain.” He spoke softly, not wanting to meet your eyes. “Of course the Commission took the only good thing out of my life, lied to me saying you were dead.” He was trailing off now, he was hurt and you understood why. “Keigo, they didn’t fully lie too you.” Your voice broke through Keigos rambling thoughts. “What?” He questioned back. “I actually did die. For about ten minutes.” You said back. Keigo didn’t know what to say, his mouth just hung open.
“I went on a mission, it wasn’t suppose to be anything extremely dangerous. But this person had a crazy quirk. They could control the earth, like rock, dirt, wind, all that kind of stuff. He threw these big holders at me, I was quick but inexperienced. One of them had hit me in the back, I broke my left wing because of it. And while I was trying to get back down to the ground, another hit me in the chest. It knocked me out, I fell about eight stories to the ground. When help came, I didn’t have a pulse. They didn’t expect me too. I was dead for ten minutes, until the paramedics revived me. I had to go into extensive care after that.” You said, Keigo was finally looking at your face.
“I had to get my wing back in order, and become stronger. So they moved me, and I never went back to the place we were at.” You said softly. You felt bad, bad that someone had to suffer this long. Believing you were dead, when you weren’t. “I didn’t mean to forget you, Keigo. I really didn’t. I just had such bad memories from there, they got my sister killed and I didn’t know how to cope with it all.” You said with some tears coming down your cheeks. Keigo moved over, putting an arm around your shoulder. He pulled you to him, softly cooing at you to calm down. “I’m not mad, y/n. I’m just happy you’re here now.” He said back.
You brushed the tears from your cheeks, looking down at your hands. “I want to remember.” You said bluntly. Keigo stiffened a little. “You do?” He asked back. “Yes, I do. I claimed you to be my soulmate at a young age, and I get this feeling deep inside my heart when I look at you. I want to remember, even if it brings back the bad memories.” You said softly. Keigo pulled you in closer, he places a soft kiss on your temple. “I’ll help you get through it. I’ll be there for you no matter what.” He said. You sighed, leaning into Keigo. “What if I lose who I am right now, trying to bring it all back?” You said softly.
“I’ll be here no matter what, you’re everything to me.” He said back. He pulled you into him, letting your back rest against his chest. He softly ran his fingers through your hair. He leaned in the softly whisper into your ear. “I won’t lose you again, love bird.” It made you smile, just knowing that someone could actually love you for who you are. You turned slightly, leaning up to press your lips against his. Keigo stiffens a little but relaxes into your touch. He kisses back, that’s when it all hit you at once. All the memories that you pushed down deep into the back of your mind. Memories of him, of yourself, and of the commission. It all came flooding back in.
Your breath hitched in your throat, heart beat going a mile a minute, and tears coming down your face. Someone happened within Keigo also, it was more than butterflies. It was a warm feeling that radiated over his whole body, like he was whole again. The first time he had felt safe in a long time. But it broke his heart that you were going through such pain. He gripped your face and made the kiss deeper, showing you that he wasn’t going to run away. You pulled back, putting your face on his shoulder. He let you cry as much as you needed too, you’ll talk about it when you’re ready.
As the months passed, it wasn’t easy for you. You barely wanted to get out of bed, only time you would is when you were called of to spy or do something that was “hero” work. But you’d be right back in bed the moment you came home. Keigo was there, he tried very hard to get you to talk about it. But you were empty, a shell of yourself. It actually made Keigo cry to a friend about it, asking for help. This friend of Keigos was a healer but in a different way. Healer of the mind, they could slip into your memories and help you through them.
As you sat there and talked about each memory, the one when you got hurt came up. You were only nine at the time, but you had never felt so alone. Your sister was already gone, you didn’t have Keigo anymore, and you just had nothing to live for. You told her that you thought about ending it all. The commission couldn’t use you if you were dead. You even talked about how you would do it, Keigo just sat in the corner of the room. Soft tears coming down his cheeks as he listen to you talk about how you wanted to end your life. Here is the thing about soulmates, if one of them dies you’ll never be able to love someone fully. You would just go through the motions of everyday life without a soulmate. Which he thought was going to happen to him.
Finally as you had talked with Keigos friends for weeks, she asked you about your favorite memory. Something that keeps you going, keep you here. You picked your head up and looked at Keigo. “When we flew together for the first time.” You said more at Keigo than his friend. She smiled at you, asking you to talk about it. “We were I think seven at the time. It was a cooler day, the Commission let us go out into the courtyard. We had to practice anyways, and I hadn’t really got the hang of my wings just yet. Hawks told me to think about pushing wind under my wings. He showed me how he did it, and he was up in the air within seconds. He reached out for my hand, I was hesitant but took it anyways. Seeing the joy that filled his eyes as he was hovering above me just made me smile. He talked me through it, helping me as much as he could and then we were flying in the air. I don’t think I ever had as much fun while I was there until that day.” You said and you never took your eyes off him.
Keigo sat there and recalled that moment in time, the pure happiness in your face made him know right then and there that you were perfect for him. You might have been kids, but you know when someone is going to be your soulmate. A small smile came to Keigos lips, when he looked back at you. You were smiling back at him, a smile that he hadn’t seen in months. Then sessions continues for a little bit, you slowly started to feel like yourself again. You held onto the wonderful memories you had made with Keigo when you were younger and the ones you had made in the present.
Keigo came home one day, he half expected you to be in bed. But much to his surprise you weren’t, you were in the kitchen. You were making dinner for him, knowing he had a long day and needed it. Keigos heart was beating so hard that you could hear it. It put a soft smile on your face. “I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate you being here for me. I know it’s been hard, I am sorry.” You said as you plated food in front of him. He shook his head, getting up from his seat. He took your hands into his. “Don’t ever apologize too me, I knew this was going to be hard on you. I love you, I just want you happy.” He said back.
You smiled at him, not a meek smile that you had to force. But a genuine smile, a smile that was only reserved for Keigo. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him down for a kiss. He returned it, letting his hands grip your hips tightly as he melted into your lips. “I love you, pretty bird.” You said back. Keigo had never felt loved before, he was going to be greedy. He deepened the kiss, pulling you so your were flushed against his body. It didn’t take long for him to lift you up onto the counter top. You wrapped a leg around his back, pulling him in closer. He broke the kiss off, looking over you.
Your cheeks were flushed with red, your feathers were shaking a bit, also shiny, and you seemed to have a bit of sweat on your brow. You leaned in to kiss his neck, that’s when Keigos eyes drifted over to the calendar. You had circled a date on there, the day leading up to your rutts. They were so close, Keigo had almost forgotten about it. But nature sure had its way of reminding you. “You’re rutt is soon, you’re going to trigger it early.” He whispered at you. You leaned back and looked over his face, his pupils were in slits, his nails had gotten longer, and you can see a shine on his forehead. “So are you, why not trigger it early?” You questioned him.
There was something so lustful in your eyes, the way you were looking at Keigo. It started to make him hard, plus the scent you were giving off was driving him nuts. He wanted it so bad, but he wanted to make sure you’re alright with it. “I want you to be comfortable with doing this with me.” He said softly. You leaned up, letting your hands hang over his shoulders. Your fingers just touching the top of his wings. “This will be my first proper rutt, with someone I deeply love. Of course I’m comfortable with it. So please?” You sounded like you were almost begging. Keigo let out a soft cooing noise from the back of his throat. “Let me get some stuff prepared, okay?” He asked back.
You nodded at him, kissing him quickly. You were out of the house for the rest of the day, letting the Commission know that you had to take your mandatory time off. Which they didn’t object too, then you went to get some things. You bought a bunch of fluffy blankets, big pillows, and a lot of lube. It had been around four hours since you left home when Keigo called you. “I’m ready, come back to the house baby bird.” He practically moaned over the phone. It made you chirp with delight, quickly making your way back home. Once you arrived back, the living room was completely different.
You wouldn’t say messy because it wasn’t. It just looked so safe. Keigo moved your extra large bed into the living room, there were dozens of blankets around the room, and not to mention yours and his feathers everywhere. Your clothes along with his were all over the bed, you laughed to yourself. Throwing the blankets and pillows you got over a chair near the bed. “Something to use when we are done.” You thought to yourself. You threw the lube onto the bed, then quickly stripped yourself out of your shirt, leaving you in just leggings. You jumped onto the bed, letting your arms glide over the soft blankets. Taking one of Keigos shirts into your hand, bringing it up to your nose.
While you were smelling his scent, Keigo had walked into the room. His eyes were narrowed down on you, already sporting a hard erection through his sweatpants. Oh god how he looked feral, causing a knot to form in your stomach. You smiled at him, holding your hand out towards him. He walked over, taking your hand into his. He slowly kneeled on the bed in front of you, you sat up so your were face to face. He chirped at you and you cooed back. Your wings shaking behind you, as he laid you onto your back.
With one quick motion, his nails cut through your leggings. Exposing you, you weren’t wearing any panties. Keigo nearly hissed at the sight, leaning down to spread your legs open too him. He was pleased by how wet you already were, leaning in closer to lick up your slit. You moaned loudly in response, causing Keigo to groan. He quickly rid himself of his sweatpants, exposing his harden cock. It was angry red, just waiting to disappear into your hole. He pushed your legs up to your chest, giving him complete control over your body.
He looked you right in the eyes, there was lust and love in them. You nodded at him to continue, you wanted to feel him so bad. He teased his head at your entrance, causing you to loll your head back. “Keigo...please..” you moaned too him. He snickered at you, yes snickered. You looked at him with narrow eyes. “I’m going to fill you up, baby bird. You sure?” He said back in the most sassiest voice you ever heard. “Yes. Please fill me.” You said back, you couldn’t even pretend to be mad at him, he is all you want.
He bit his lower lip as he started to push into you, the stretch was painful but so pleasurable at the same time. Once he was fully sheathed inside you, that’s when the real fun began. His thrusts were relentless, he was pounding you so hard into the mattress that you were seeing stars. He was hitting you in just the right spot, he leaned over so his forehead rested against yours. His hot breath fanning over your face and he completely destroyed you. It gave you the opportunity to lift your hand up, catching the base of his right wing. You tugged on it, hard.
Keigo damn near lost it when you did this, moaning so loud that it echoed through the house. He moaned too you, all breath. “Touch them again.” He said. Which you did, you were pulling on his feathers. Making him lose it everytime he thrusted into you. He moved his head from yours, putting his face into the crook of your neck. When you gripped his wings hard again, he bit into your neck. It sent you right over the edge, you moaned loudly. You clamped down onto his shaft, your high escaping you. It made Keigo shutter, shooting his release deeply into you.
He was panting above you, slowly slipping out of you. He watched his cum drip from your entrance, keeping him rock hard. “I need more.” You whispered at him, pushing him back a little. Keigo nodded, sitting back against the headboard. You got off your back, straddling him. You slowly lowered yourself back onto this length. You gripped the headboard tightly, quickly bouncing on him. He gripped your hips with super human strength, causing the skin there to turn white. He leaned up, quickly latching onto your harden bud. It made you moan loudly, throwing your head back. You quicken your pace, bouncing harder down on him.
The room with filled with the sounds of skin slapping together, sweet nothings, and moans. Your wings were twitching wildly as you came close to your high once more. Keigo leaned up more, gripping both of your wings to thrust up hard into you. Each time he thrusted upward, he pulled your wings down. The sensation was amazing, it felt like your whole body was on fire. You looked down at Keigo, letting your hands now fall into his hair. “Breed me.” You whispered too him. He groaned, pushing hard into you a few more times. He was losing it, moaning out too you. “Mine, all fucking mine. I fucking love you.” Before he thrusted into you hard once more. Painting your walls white, as you fell over the edge.
It didn’t stop there, you went at it all night. It was perfect, it was something that brought you closer together as a couple and as soulmates. It was starting to become morning, still just dark enough but the sun started to poke through the sky. You both just laid in each other arms, watching the sun raise. You were laying between his legs, blankets covering you both. Keigo rested his head on your shoulder, kissing your neck softly. “Sing to me?” He whispered too you.
You smiled, thinking about how you used to sing Keigo to sleep when you were kids. “Want your favorite song?” You asked back. Keigo smiled, holding onto you to tighter. “If you remember it.” He said back. You laughed softly, starting to hum too him. Then you started to softly sing too him, and old lullaby that Keigo had claimed was his favorite back in the day. It just made Keigo smile, rocking with you as you sang too him. After you were done, you leaned back into his shoulder, looking up at him slightly. He was glowing, so happy you remembered. “Perfect.” He said back then kissed you.
Soulmates, something that very few people find in their lifetime. Someone that Keigo thought he lost a very long time ago. But as he sat there with you, not thinking of the past anymore but his future he sees with you, he can’t help but he perfectly happy with his life. You were so happy to be with Keigo again, the universe has a funny was of bringing people back together.
𝓞𝓷𝓮 𝓨𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓛𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓻:
It was still in the house, you could hear a pin drop if you listened hard enough. Then crying, oh how you got used to the crying. You quickly were out of the bed, walking into the next room but you stopped in the door way. Keigo was already there, rocking your son in his arms. Making the cutest of faces at him, you decided to take it all in.
As you watched Keigo with your child, he started to hum to him. Trying to get him back to sleep with that lullaby. Then you started to hum with him, standing next to him while you looked over your son. God was he the spitting image of Keigo, bright red wings and all. Keigo smiled at you, then back at your sleeping child. He carefully put him back into his crib, then both of you quickly hovered out of the room.
You smiled at each other, closing the door softly. While you both sat on the couch, Keigo was rubbing circles onto your thighs. “I want another kid.” He said softly against your hair. It made you smile, turning over to look at him. “Oh yea?” You questioned him. He nodded at you, pushing a piece of hair out of your face. “Yeah, I love our son. I love you, and I want to make a bigger family with you.” He said. You smiled at him, pushing your face into his chest. “Okay, let’s try to have another baby.” You said back. Keigo beamed at you, pulling your face up to kiss you deeply. “I love you, Keigo.” You said back too him.
But Baby Bird
Cheating!Hawks x Reader
Warning - Cheating! Toxic ass behavior.
Summary - You catch Hawks cheating on you - and you decide to take him down a peg
Apparently cheating Hawks is a trend right now? And like I’m down... But in my way. Also listen to the glee version of Bust your windows and it 100% fueled this.
Tumblr media
Today was a normal day for you. You got off at work, went to pick up something for dinner, and headed home for the night. Work had been stressful. All the heroes at your agency seemed to need a hundred things. And running the behind the scenes of the agency was already hard enough. So you were longing to be home. In the arms of your fiancé. He’s always great with helping you recover from a bad day.
As you walk into the penthouse you notice a distinct lack of Hawks. Normally he greats you at the door- a drink and hand and a sweet kiss. However he was no where to be found. You don’t think too much on it. You’ve been at the office extra late the last couple weeks and with his hero work you know it brings natural conflicts in your schedules. However the pros boots at the door reveal he’s here. Still he could be asleep. He is one for laying around in his free time.
“Hawks baby?” You call “I’ve got us dinner.”
He doesn’t reply. You roll your eyes setting down the takeout bag on the kitchen counter. Starting to set it up. Knowing he’d be grateful to wake up to the meal. You move to grab some paper towels only to catch site of two wineglasses in the sink.
“The fact he can’t just reuse a dish-” You groan lightly.
“Baby bird-” You hear a distant groan. You move looking down the hall to the bedroom. “Oh Baby Bird.”
“He couldn’t fucking wait for me,” You growl, “what a tool.” You move marching towards the bedroom. Clearly annoyed that your boyfriend started with out you. ”Hawks I’m sure I’m better than your hand-”
The scene in front of you isn’t that of catching your partner jerking it off... No instead it’s Hawks balls deep in on of the interns from his agency.
“No fucking way,” You say harshly. Hawk looks over at you. Eyes wide. Guilt filling his expression.
“Love Bird-” Hawks start pulling away from the girl. The intern moving to grab the blankets from your bed to cover herself. Hawks standing and pulling his boxers from the ground as you stared at the scene.
The emotions flooding over you weren’t deafening. The anger. The sadness. The helplessness. The shock. All blending into an overwhelming mess. You just walked in on your fiancé fucking his intern. The man everyone warned you about proving their point.
For a moment you don’t do anything. Then you just start to laugh.
“This isn’t- let me jus explain.”
“Explain what?” You ask him laughing lightly, “that you’re fucking some bimbo from your office?”
“Y/n-”
“Fuck off Keigo,” You say harshly, “I’m done. I hope you and your little slut over there have fun...”
“Babe-”
You pull away harshly.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” You spit back.
You left. Wanting to be anywhere but there. So you ended up over at Rumi’s. Your friend giving you the usual break up kit. The pajama, ice cream. The whole nine yards. She tried to cheer you up as you sobbed. You wanted to understand why the hell he’d do that. Why he’d risk your relationship of 4 years all for a girl who’s barely legal. You wonder how long he’s been letting this happen? If she’s the only girl?
“Fuck Keigo,” Rumi says harshly.
“I tried that- didn’t work out so well in the end,” You say slightly amused. She laughs lightly.
“That’s the spirit babe,” She says, “he sucks- but he’s a learning exprience. Now you can go find a guy who treats you right-”
“Or I can burn his apartment down,” You say harshly.
“That’s an option,” She says, “I’m sure you’re dad will love that one. Mr. Hero Commission watching his sweet daughter burn her fiancé’s house to the ground.”
“You think he’d let that get out?” You ask her slightly amused, “man would have that covered up in a heart beat.”
“Well as much as I love the arson- let’s think smaller,” Rumi says, “like moving on... Show him what he lost.... And he lost the hottest bitch he’ll ever see.” You chuckle through the light tears. Moving to wipe them away. “Now no tears- pretty bitches down cry over fuck boys.” I laugh lightly. “Step one to cheering up is get under some hot guy- how’s Zawa sounding?”
“As much as I’d love to tread that wave of daddy issues- I can’t even think about that right now,” You say sadly, “Hawks and I were supposed to get married! I spent our entire relationship defending him from people telling me it would end up this way. I feel stupid.”
“That’s not your fault,” Rumi says, “you love him... Besides you aren’t the only girl who’s ever gotten hurt this way... Heroes fucking suck. Whores... All of them. They’ll stick it in anything that has a pulse- and even that’s not stopping them sometimes.”
“Ew,” You chuckle sadly. She starts to laugh.
“Bird man sucks- and you deserve so much more,” She tells you, “I promise you that this will only bring you closer to the guy who’s gonna treat you right.”
“Thanks Rumi,” You tell her. She moves pulling you into a hug.
“Any time song bird,” She says. When she pulls back she gives you a firm look. “Now go to bed- we’ve got moving out to do tomorrow.”
“Fine,” You tell her.
You try to head to sleep. You really do. But you barely get a wink when the sun starts shining through the large windows in Rumi’s living room. Outside you can hear birds chirping. The sound fills you to your core with anger. Stupid birds... Stupid Hawks. You toss a shoe at the window. The birds immediately flee.
“I know the man with wings fuck you over but don’t take it out on the birds,” Rumi says chuckling lightly. You look back to see her in the kitchen. She’s in her hero costume. Her bunny ears standing tall. “Morning song bird.”
“Ew” You groan, “I don’t want to hear that nickname ever again.”
“Oh come on I called you that before he who shall not be named ever did,” Rumi says, “your mother gave you that nickname. Don’t let him ruin it.”
“Too late,” You say as you stand from the couch. Moving over to grab a cup of coffee. Rumi rolls her eyes lightly at your comment. “I’m going to get my stuff- you still gonna be able to do that?”
“Sorry Y/n I got called in for patrols if you wanna wait here-”
“No I’m gonna go get a head start,” You tell her, “It’ll go faster that way anyways. You got any boxes?”
“No but Aizawa does- and he’s meeting us at yours to help move your stuff,” She says, “I’m giving you another chance to fuck him.” You roll your eyes roughly. “Come on! He’s hot- and before Hawks you would of killed to get under that man.”
“There was a lot I’d do pre hawks - but a lot of thats changed,” You tell her, “so I guess I’ll meet you there?”
She heads out for work. And you go through the basics of getting ready. You had called your boss to tell them you needed the day for a family emergency. This was kinda a emergency. Honestly you just couldn’t handle needing to run around for everyone else after all of that.
The penthouse isn’t too far from Rumi’s house. It’s a ten minute taxi ride. You stand out in front of the door for a minute. Anger slowly filling you as your mind replays the events of last night. You shove it away and finally open the door. The light of the morning reveals what you didn’t notice last night. Napkins with lipstick on the table. A few spare feathers on the couch. Small signs of the build up. You scoff loudly. Marching back to your room. You’re thankful that the intern isn’t there. Even more thankful Hawks isn’t. You start in the closet first. Grabbing your clothes in armfuls and tossing them onto the floor of the bedroom. Next you move to the dresser. Pulling the drawers out to dump your belongings out. You can hear the soft moans fill your ears on repeat. Keigo calling her baby bird. Something he’s called you a million times. You growl lightly. Trying to focus on getting your things. As your grabbing the picture of you and your late mother you notice a picture of you and Keigo the night he proposed. You were so happy. He promised it would be you two for the rest of you life. You move grabbing the frame. You don’t even know why. But it doesn’t stay in your hands long. In a split second your slamming it against the wall. Then you move tossing the other ones of you and Keigo on the floor. Glass is everywhere. You don’t care. You rip the frames off the wall letting them smash as well.
You calm down a bit. Moving to the bathroom to grab your stuff. However you catch yourself in the reflection. Smirking lightly as you catch the tube of lipstick on the counter. You uncap it and lean forward. Writing the word ‘Cheater’ across the glass in large red letters. Satisfied you toss the lipstick in your makeup bag then grab it to move it with the rest of your stuff. Next you move into the office. More pictures in frames around the room. You pull the down tossing them at the wall. Not caring about the scattering glass or the memories your destroying. You grab one of the markers from your desk to keep up with the redecoration. Scribbling ‘Whore’ ‘Player’ and other insults across the wall. You don’t care about what your doing. All you care about is the inconvence he’ll have cleaning this all up.
You move dragging the marker along the walls as you head out to the kitchen. Opening the shelves to toss plates and bowls on the ground.
“What the hell are you doing?”
You turn to see Keigo. He seems to be just walking in. He’s got his costume on. You smirk lightly as you drop a stack of plates on the ground. “Oops.”
“Y/n what the hell?!”
“You don’t like the redecoration? That’s a shame,” You say.
“Are you still mad?”
You don’t answer. Instead you let the teapot you toss at his head answer for you. He barely ducks it.
“Listen what happened-”
You move throwing a mug at him. He steps out of the way and it smacks the floor behind him.
“It was an accident.”
“You accidentally fucked her?” You ask harshly, “oh that’s the dumbest excuse I’ve ever fucking heard.”
“I meant it was a mistake- I messed up.”
“Oh shut the fuck up Keigo,” You growl, “I don’t wanna hear it.”
“We need to talk about this- like adults not throw a tantrum!”
You angrily toss the toaster at him. He smacks it away from him.
“You’re acting like a child!”
“You cheated on me!” You shout, “don’t give me that acting like a child shit.”
“I’m trying to talk to you and you’re throwing shit- so yeah you’re acting like a child,” He shouts back.
“Fine Keigo - what’s you’re excuse?” You ask him, “what lead you to this mistake?”
“You’re never around and I felt so alone-”
You don’t let him finish. You’re tossing the silverware drawer at him.
“You’re blaming you fucking your intern on me!” You scream, “oh my fucking god! You’re a joke.”
“Let me explain-”
“I- don’t- want- to - hear - it!” You scream in between tossing wine glasses at him. You’ve made a terrible mess of your kitchen. You couldn’t care less though. All you can think about is Keigo standing in front of you trying to blame him cheating all on you.
“Stop throwing shit!”
“Keep your dick in your pants!” You scream back.
“Did this little tantrum make you feel better?”
“No!” You scream, “you broke my heart Keigo! You cheated on me! I can’t believe you don’t understand why I’m so upset-”
“I’m trying to explain-”
“You’re trying to blame me!”
“Just let me talk!”
“No!” I scream, “I don’t care! I don’t want to hear your stupid reason!”
“Baby bird I love you-”
“HOW DARE YOU CALM ME WHAT YOU CALLED HER!” I scream on the top of my lungs. Anger radiating off of me. “You stupid- fucking- asshole!” More of the kitchenware goes flying. He’s dodging them. Mumbling explanations. You stop. Laughing lightly. He watches you clearly confused. You grab the lamp from the table and toss it straight into the middle of the TV.
“Babe oh my god!”
“Shut the fuck up! I’m done! I’m done letting you walk all over me! Defending you when you clearly don’t deserve it! And I’m done trying to love you when you clearly don’t love me!”
You yank the ring off your finger and toss it at him.
“We’re done.” I say firmly. He looks at me. Tears starting to well in his eyes. Suddenly the anger fades. You just felt numb. Over it all.
“Hey Y/n- Oh my god.”
You see Rumi and Shota at the door. Looking over the disaster of an apartment. Concern covering their faces.
“Are you okay?” Shota asks, “did he hurt you?”
You chuckle lightly.
“You think he did this?” You ask him, “I’m fine- Let’s get my shit and go... I don’t want to be here for another second.” You move past Hawks over to your friends.
“But Baby Bird,” Hawks says lightly. You look back to the man.
“Maybe next time you’ll think before you cheat-” You tell him, “see ya Bird Man.”
