What program do you use to paint? Looks cool!

I currently use Krita!

It's a free art program that you can download, and you can also make animations on there as well (I would recommend looking at a video to understand how that works bc I couldn't at first)

In all honesty it reminds me of the Microsoft art program they used to have back in the early 2000's when computers were big and chunky-

There are a lot of features you can use on here to help yourself learn the basics on here (again, highly recommend watching different videos for support bc some of these things I couldn't understand myself-)

A good example would be one of the lucifer pics I made a month ago with my current workspace-

Each layer shown has it's own place to make that glorious man, from lineart to simple colors to highlights and shadows and even my signature (still trying to figure out how to make a brush for that-)

overview is a good thing for me because I am always doing something wacky or different out of curiosity and usually it never turns out that great, so I use it often to be sure whether or not it looks good.

Brush presets (which I can't remember if that's in the default or not-) are very helpful, especially when you want to use different brush packs from the default set and/or you want to add new brushes to use. e.g. I use the first brush (the one in blue) as my sketching brush, and the other brush (The one that's white) as my lineart tool. Andrew and...Andrew??? Yeahhh

So I decided to draw Andrew Harper and his very outdated design. To differentiate the both of them, I'll call his old design Drew for now (even though Andrew also goes by Drew sometimes too uhhh just forget about that XD)

It's hard to believe these are both the same person.

The reason I wanted to talk more about Andrew and his origins in the early versions of this AU is that yesterday marked the 1st anniversary of when I created him (February 1, 2024, to be specific is when I created his first concept art) Happy late birthday buddy!!

So for those who don't know, Andrew Harper was originally going to be evil in the earliest drafts of the fanfic. He was a vengeful creature with violent tendencies. He was honestly almost as bad as Joey himself. Which is wild to think of now that he's changed completely. Drew (as I'll call him to avoid confusion) was inspired originally by the once-popular theory of the ink demon being Joey Drew. Though BATDR clearly disproves this theory, I like the concept. I wanted a character who was like Joey but not actually him.

So then I remembered, "Hey, memory Joey exists!" and wondered how Joey managed to actually create memory Joey. Because I am not sure if he has a soul, or even truly what he is. He's stated to be a ghost or in his own words "A Memory." so I took this idea and was like "There had to be a prototype for Memory Joey." Thus Drew exists.

Joey to me comes across as the type of guy who wants to be immortal in his own creation. This lore is actually still very much canon to Andrew's backstory, but it was also the same backstory for Drew, though he had hardly any depth at this point.

Drew's backstory goes as follows; He was a sort of "Prototype of Memory Joey." A clone basically, but a very imperfect one. He was very similar to how Twisted Alice acts in many parts of the plot, wanting to become better than Joey Drew himself. He was very selfish and terrible overall. Not a chill dude.

When I was writing him in Charlie's section of the Creation and Calamity Fanfic, things shifted from Drew being evil to being just another victim of Joey's stupidity. Which is how Andrew Harper was born.

Andrew Harper was created in a similar way to Drew but I changed a bit of his backstory, providing him more of a personality than just "Angry Employee Who Got Screwed Over By Joey Drew" which was basically all he had to him. Andrew really started to grow on me while I wrote scenes with him in them. I got attached more to him being something other than an evil creature.

The whole thing about him being a clone of Joey is kind of less explicitly there in his current design. I like to believe it's because Joey is not smart and didn't realize it wasn't going to work.

Andrew himself actually doesn't really have many features of Joey at all, in fact, he's got more features from the Ink Demon than Joey. Kind of funny how that works. If I'm being fully honest I have no clue how the process of making someone into an ink clone of yourself works so this is really vague on purpose uhhhh yeah...

Andrew like Drew was also seen as a failure by Joey Drew, however, Andrew was mostly angry about the fact his identity was ripped from him. Drew was angry because he wasn't perfect.

I prefer Andrew over Drew. Andrew is more tragic than just evil because, idk he's angry or whatever Drew had going on.

For those who actually have no clue about Andrew Harper and have not understood a thing about this post, that's okay. I can try to summarize his current lore for you (Without going into too much detail cause his prequel will do that)

Andrew Harper is my oc and a major character in the fanfic for this AU. Andrew was an animator at the studio and a cartoonist. He was a hard worker, got things done on time, overall a good guy. He met his future wife Delilah after she was hired as an animator at the studio as well and took the vacant seat beside him.

The two of them got along well and Andrew clearly was very terrible at hiding that he had a crush on Delilah. Delilah and him both got married on May 6th, 1936 and got the date engraved in their wedding rings (THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DETAIL.)

As the studio starts going downhill and the checks don't seem to come in on time anymore, Andrew gets asked by Joey Drew for a deal of sorts. Andrew is reluctant but agrees, confused as to why Joey would pick him. There wasn't really any reason for him to be chosen, Joey just sucks.

Without going into far too much detail, the next thing Andrew knows is that he's become an ink creature. He is deemed as a failure by Joey who locks him in a room for the time being.

One day Andrew hears Delilah asking Joey about her missing husband and Andrew is unable to leave the room to tell her he's still alive. Joey lies to Delilah and basically just tells her Andrew is dead (he just says he's not sure but essentially Delilah takes it as he's dead for good)

Somewhere down the line, Andrew breaks out of the rooms Joey keeps trying to put him in, and he runs off into the studio, finding his way into The Cycle. There he struggles to remember who he once was.

The majority of his prequel story I will one day write will explore what he does during this time along with how he and Delilah met and all that.

During the main events of the fanfic he serves as a friend to Sammy and Charlie and helps them escape Twisted Alice and ends up remembering his past a bit more as time goes on.

He later on reunites with Delilah who is now a Lost One and they, after the events of Wilson taking over the cycle, take over what remains of Sammy's cult of followers. (THE LOST ONE SUPPORT GROUP is what it basically is now lol)

But yeah that's him. The silly guy. Feel free to ask questions about him lol. I don't mind. I am horrible at explaining things sometimes so I hope this was clear enough.

What's the origin of your blog title? Fox Mulder's address. It's not that original; I was trying to come up with something fast and I've never gone back to be more clever. I'm always kind of fascinated that it seems to be a reference to the philosopher G.WF. Hegel, but that it's misspelled.

Favorite game: This is not really my thing, but I do like Carcassonne, the game on my phone and the actual tabletop game.

Song stuck in your head: Burning Pile by Mother Mother. Someone in my house was playing it yesterday.

Weirdest habit/trait? Lol... I have so many I wouldn't know where to start. I harmonize obsessively with songs I hear (or even, like, the hum of the dishwasher). I constantly write essays and angry comments in my drafts and never post. I talk out loud to myself in the car all the time-- telling stories, making speeches, practicing accents badly.

Hobbies: Writing, history, reading (fanfic, fantasy / sci-fi, historical fiction), watching documentaries, film, baking. I like museums a lot. I guess working out, if that's a hobby, but I have this IT band problem right now that is limiting me.

What were you like as a child? Too much, full of ideas, always wanting to put on a play or do an elaborate project. I was a social disaster and what a 2020s kid would call "cringe." I took up space and raised my hand all the time. Looking back, though, I wish some adult had fanned that flame in me and not let me become quite so self-conscious / self-censoring, because I just became a totally different person as an adolescent.

Favorite subject at school? Drama, history, English, chorus.

Least favorite subject? Math, science. I KNOW. It doesn't sound very feminist. I'm so sorry, Scully.

What's your best character trait? My capability to see different sides of a situation?

What's your worst character trait? The older I get, the more I realize that my tendency to avoid confrontation is a major character flaw. It seems like it makes you "nice" when you're younger, but I realize more and more that it can keep you from doing what's right. It's something I work on.

If you could change any detail of your day right now what would it be? It's Sunday and I have to spend five hours grading and planning for school next week. I wish I didn't.

If you could travel in time who would you like to meet? I have so many answers to this, some of them strange. I'll try to keep my answer less strange. I wouldn't want to "meet" a historic figure, probably, as then I have to think about what they make of me, and I have to think about how we would communicate easily, etc. But I would very much like to somehow be able to see one of Shakespeare's plays performed in the Globe. I think the early modern English would sound odd to my ears, but probably not odd enough not to recognize speeches I knew already. Some people say early modern English actually sounded more like American accents. That seems suspect to me. I think that's only because early modern English was rhotic like contemporary American accents (pronounces the Rs), and most contemporary British accents are non-rhotic, so still I think it wouldn't be enough to make it sound normal to me. JESUS ENOUGH CECILY.

Recommend one of your favorite fanfics (spread the love!): I have an entire recommendation list of fics I love to promote. You all don't understand how much I love that list. I add to it and re-read fics off of it all the time lol.

Initially, I don't think that this merited any posts but the Concerned Asian Mom™️ within me insists that it should be posted as some sort of cautionary post for young artists.

About half an hour ago, I received a DM asking for a commission. It doesn't look suspicious at first, but it doesn't take long for it to look suspicious.

So, this person asked me to draw their dog, which at first, I was like, cool. I rarely draw animals. Seem like a fun challenge and the pupper looks cute. They asked for 3 poses and with different background each. Since I'm no good in drawing backgrounds, I point it out just for the sake of transparency.

This is the first red flag for me.

I used to do commissions back in college and very rarely people who pay this kind of money would be so nonchalant with their request. Usually, they are a bit more demanding and particular.

Second red flag : They insist on paying upfront without sketches/drafts. Nobody does that.

Third red flag : They insist very persistently despite my concern and refusal.

Look, lady. I don't give a hoot if you're a "busy businesswoman" cuz honestly, I am a busy career woman too. This looks hella sus from the get-go.

Fourth red flag : Desperately trying to convince me to proceed with the payment.

It looks like a scam, so I don't care if by the sliver of chance this person is actually honest, I'm gonna treat the whole thing as a scam. I Googled "art commission scam" too and the Reddit topic below is literally the first link I saw :

It was such a common scam.

Look, art and writing are stress relief for me, and I have no intention of ever making it a side hustle. My IRL job pays my bills and gives me plenty extra for the nonsense I splurge on; so, I personally don't care much about losing a luxurious commission offer. I know the pressure to finish a gig would ruin the joy these two hobbies offer me.

However, I'm also aware that some people depend on art as a side hustle to survive the current world economy, especially young artists. I know college-age me some good years ago would be really torn in refusing this kind of offer because back then I was a broke college student without none of my current stable income.

Hence, please be careful while accepting commissions. These people will hound you aggressively once they proceed with their scam, and knowing that not all people would remain unyielding under pressure, it could be dangerous.

Okay, first things first—I’m not gonna bite anybody as soon as I meet them. Not only is that the calling card of the Old Carpathians, but I also don’t share their ideology thanks to my beliefs being a lot more complex than mere “vamp supremacy”. So, if you can remember to keep from putting my name into any sentences with those nutjobs as the subject, I’d really appreciate it. Especially in the days to come. Second, by now, you’ve probably heard all of the stories about recent events, both the ones containing cold hard facts and the ones more along the lines of anti-social media rants. As I don’t exactly host my own conspiracy-theory laden podcast or support a single person who does, I’m not gonna give a shred of legitimacy to the stories that sound a lot more like tabloid fodder, let alone a lot less than actual news bulletins. Those are total bunk no matter what those Mortals insist upon, so I won’t think about them one moment longer. What I will do, however, is recall as many facts as I can so that others don’t have a problem figuring out what’s true and what’s false... so here goes. Yes, there was a virus that affected the clotting factor of the average person’s bloodstream, because not only is that same virus still ongoing as I write this, but I was also one of those previously infected. I can also say that yes, a high percentage of the global population—namely, an estimated 66.7% of all humans from 0-99 years of age—passed away from it before any significant research about treatments or cures could begin. We will mourn their loss, but not without celebrating their lives. For the ones still alive, however, I have this to say—no, not only are the Vampires among us NOT spreading this virus by feeding on the human race, but as of this day forward, any and all members of the First Communal Hall are hereby off limits to any dumbass looking to make a name for himself by trying to hunt them down. I say this because we’re currently working on vaccine development in a few secured locations in order to stop this thing in its tracks, so if you don’t want a front-row seat to the collapse of society, please remain calm, keep your weapons in storage, and kindly allow us to do our jobs. Do you have any tips for writing Shuu?

This is the best ask I’ve ever had thank you anon!!! I am honoured to have been asked this, sorry it took me so long to answer, I was getting my thoughts in order! I have a few general tips!! Idk how useful they’ll be tho! :P (this is very long but i have tried to make myself as concise as possible…sorry anon…bear in mind this is all my opinion!)

Shuu, is dreadfully mischaracterised. So it’s tricky, especially because it depends on what exactly ur writing. If ur using headcanons that drastically change him anyway, then the rules are looser ofc, but if as close to canon is the aim, then I would take all fanon Shuu with a grain of salt. Not a slight to anyone at all, but I find different people interpret the character really differently, and I don’t agree with most of it (especially anything pre-2018), so I don’t interact with fanon, especially when writing. Idk what’s currently fanon tho, maybe it’s real af!

A very general tip but it cannot be understated with Shuu - always refer to canon. I have a notebook where I make notes of things I have noticed in his canon appearances, notes from the wiki, the light novels, films, everything. I always cross-reference when planning, and adjust my plot accordingly, during the writing stage, so I can alter my writing process, and upon editing/re-drafts, which I find is where Shuu really becomes himself. I would say write him as best as you can in a first draft, and allow yourself time to redraft and fine tune him afterwards. :)

Another tip for general character writing is to write diary entries from that character’s POV - regardless of whether that is the ultimate protagonist or not - this helps get inside their head. Shuu’s blog entries are helpful starting points.

So, some things to avoid (note: i haven’t read fic in years, so this isn’t in reference to any writer/fic in particular, just things I did notice/have noticed that i dislike when I see him characterised.)

I used to see a lot of flanderisation with Shuu. People really overestimate the amount of French he uses, so I guess a tip there is to limit that - or half the amount you think is enough. You can always add it in later if it is too little. He obviously does use it, but it’s not to the point I’ve seen. Also remember that Shuu doesn��t just speak French - he speaks Italian and English too! (Ik he speaks German, but this only comes up once. Unless ur writing a fic with Kanae I would say it’s less important). A good starting point for adding French/Italian/English to his dialogue/inner monologue would be to look at a list of common francophones, Latin phrases, or older English turn of phrase (not modern Bri’ish, shuu is not a roadman). If I find a list I will add some links 4 u. :)

With regard to general speech/train of thought, try use a wide vocabulary of colourful adjectives - words that are maybe rare or perhaps too fancy for normal conversation. I read a lot, so if I find a new fancy word I write it down. Normally this ends up going to Shuu’s passages in my work :) (I think a great example of this was when I read A Certain Hunger - the protagonist was a food critic, so she was very helpful with colourful language in relation to food!) I also think imagining his anime VAs saying any dialogue really helps me check dialogue too! Food is worth mentioning too, obviously, I think a Shuu-specific tip is to use terms that could be food-related in otherwise unrelated actions - one can devour a book, salivate in anticipation, or go out for a delicious walk! That kind of thing. Don’t be afraid to make it a little silly. Shuu is very fun to write, so have fun! The key is just to toe the line between silly and fun, to caricature. I think if you intend to write him properly, then you inherently sort of avoid that tho.

A thing that seems random but that I used to see constantly in fanon Shuu was him swearing a lot. Off the top of my head, Shuu properly swears once in Tokyo Ghoul - depends on the translation. He also says damn/damned a few times. That’s about as much as I ever write him saying. Again, I would use more colourful language to express his anger or strong emotions. Thinking to him slagging off Rize - that sort of posh-boy anger. You could probably use swearing very sparingly to pack a comedic punch. He doesn’t swear flippantly, that’s very important imo.

Shuu’s motivations are really important. I’ve seen him written as this sort of caricature so many times. People often refer to Shuu as this sort of narcissistic creep - but I think that’s a mischaracterisation. I think he’s vain, but I think that his vanity and pride is covering up some repressed guilt about what he has to eat - his earliest documented interaction with food is that of guilt. Shuu sees himself not as some kind of monster - but as very strong predator. I think he’s more matter-of-fact than people initially realise. He views the world as dog-eat-dog. He’s hunting Kaneki because he is predator - not in the sense of a creep, but as a lion. His justification for his existence is merciless in that fact - man is not typically sympathetic to the hens in batteries, served pre-plucked en mass in a Tescos, but Shuu, who hunts his prey properly, as a true animal should, is supposed to believe he is lesser than them. I think that makes him much more understanding. I think that’s why other ghouls also fail to understand him, because though he pretends to be better, more civilised, he has a very savage mindset. (Sorry. Long Character analysis there, remember what I said about taking fanon with salt earlier?). :p)

TLDR: I think people think Shuu leans far more into a ‘villain’ role than he actually does. An animal is an animal. I wrote a whole load of paragraphs about his character on Instagram a while ago. I will try and rewrite them and post them here if they would be helpful. (Again, all just my opinion)

In regards to Shuu’s obsession with Kaneki - if this is what you’re writing - this isn’t something I’ve ever written (sorry!) but I have written a similar relationship with him and an oc, and I also have BPD (shocking!), so I can relate to this kind of thing…Kind of. I’ve never wanted to eat anyone! I find expressing this kind of obsession very difficult to verbalise - it’s like, full of over-idealisation. You get so swept up in the idea of someone, you forget they’re a flawed human being who you actually might not know as much as you’d like. And when that idealisation inevitably implodes, it’s very devastating. Shuu’s depression and anorexia after ‘losing’ Kaneki, is something I heavily relate to. It might be worth examining what other people with similar conditions have said about this kind of obsession in particular (in bpd we refer to it as having ‘favourite people’) - im not saying Shuu has BPD, I’m simply saying that looking into real life examples for similar kinds of things, in ways that are expressed by people much wiser than me. :) I think it’s important to have empathy for people like this when writing them, because we do exist out here! Having empathy for Shuu when writing is very important, imo.

I think with his relationships, it’s key to remember that Shuu does not understand what he is feeling. He does not understand that he actually genuinely likes Kaneki and enjoys his company, or Hinami’s company, or Hori. This is despite him going out of his way to comfort them, lend them books, buy them gifts, and (importantly) flowers - which Shuu says he links directly with feelings of happiness. People have said this is creepy, but I think this is wrong. Shuu does not understand how relationships work, but he understands that material objects can make people happy. I think people viewing Shuu’s exchange of gifts as something impure are kind of missing the point - understandable if you’ve only read TG and not :re, tbf.

This is just my opinion, so listen liberally, but considering Shuu refers to his actual friends as pets - I think it’s a somewhat reasonable assumption to make that Shuu’s only relationships outside of his home have been with animals or plants. I write Shuu’s relationships as if he were interacting with animals. With :re based stories this is a little different, but you can generally use the same rule. Referring to my earlier point about Shuu viewing himself as an animal - he probably doesn’t think this perspective is as offensive as it might be.

I think this is everything off the top of my head. In general, it all comes back to referring to canon, that’s your main thing. Thinking about, and analysing the character in your own way, and coming to your own conclusions. You can utilise other people’s ideas- as long as it’s not offensive, I don’t think it’s so bad, but I try not to. Also, having empathy for the character and taking the time to get to know him. Sometimes I just listen to what Shuu is telling me - if a story arc is too difficult to write, maybe it just isn’t his! Sorry for rambling so much - was this even helpful at all? I feel like I have simply waffled!

Just a few notes: I have written/am writing Shuu at stages Tokyo Ghoul does not document (when he is19/20, and after the end of :Re at age 30+). So most of my work is my estimation of where he might be.

Bear in mind I also haven’t posted anything in a loooong time so none of this has been subject to any criticism aside from my own! I can post some extracts of my current work if it would be helpful. By day she catalogs ancient books and manuscripts onto an online database for a "local library," but by night, she's an Archivist and Hunter for the Coalition, killing demons and distributing information to Hunters who need guidance in the field. One day, Artemis asks for her help on a mission to find evidence to expose his workplace for unethical experiments on animals. Only, what they find is a plot to unleash the kings of Hell and the Lightbringer himself. Realizing they've stepped in a fireant bed, Chel quickly tries to gather the evidence to research what she's found later and get them out of there ASAP, but Artemis is killed by demons in the process. The Bonds of Earth and Fire (formerly The Blue Eyed Thief)

Synopsis: Nindë was trained as a soldier and a spy to infiltrate the Coalition from the time she was old enough to hold a weapon. Her father taught her that the Coalition was out to imprison and kill their kind: dragon shifters; and that as a family, they needed to stick together to take them down. When the day approached that her father decided to set his plan into action, Nindë and her friend, Melody, consort to escape, not wanting to be caught in this war. Before they can make their move, however, Melody is kidnapped by masked men, and Nindë tries and fails to rescue her. Asking her family for help to find them, Nindë gets labeled as a double agent who was selling secrets to her 'friend', and the hunt for her life begins. Narrowly escaping, she travels the streets from city to city, trying to blend in and avoid her family finding her and devotes her life to saving Melody. My biggest accomplishment this year is definitely completing Stuck in a Yandere Visual Novel...HELP!!

This was finished in May, but somehow it feels like a lifetime ago... The full story is 84k+ words, which is definitely the longest (finished) story I've written.

In this coming year, I hope I can get some merch completed for the game, and maybe redo some of the art since I think I've improved since I started development back in 2022.

I did "finish" 24 illustrations for 2024, but I might've cheated a bit based on my original intentions. In 2023, I said "24 illustrations not used in Visual Novels." This year, I didn't add the latter requirement, but I had intended to follow it.

However, come December, I was short 4 illustrations. Coincidentally, I completed 3 CGs for Spooktober and 1 animation for Winter Jam. Since I didn't have that criteria, I decided to add it into the count.

(The animation was too big and had to be uploaded as two files, thus pushing the last image to another row.)

...And now what I didn't succeed in :(

I accomplished 6 items, but they were not bingo. I only have myself to blame for making one of the requirements "10 VN BGs" 😂 Honestly some of these goals were so difficult, I'm surprised I managed to succeed in any of them.

I am quite sad that I couldn't finish much fanart for my favorite vtubers. I thought it'd be easy, but I often ended up spending time on commissions and projects.

I was pleasantly surprised that I completed more than 25 commissions as I counted them up! I really thought I didn't make it...;; Sadly, although I completed so many commissions... it still wasn't a salary I could live off of. If I didn't had savings, I would've been in big trouble 💦 This was definitely the biggest "down" I felt this year. The physical evidence that I could not make digital artist my career.

The team is still together for BWOBK! But we've all been busy with our own separate projects and various private matters. We still intend to work on it for 2025, though!

And, it'll definitely be one of my big goals for 2025.

...I don't even remember the happy story goal 😂 (I won't count my fanfics- they're also not that happy either, just slated for a happy ending.)

I wrote for two VNs this year. Sorry to say neither are happy.

A Year of Fan Projects

I participated in a lot of Ace Attorney fan events this year! You can see all of them in my art tag!

Last year, Arimia convinced me to join the DGM 20th Project Zine and although I cried at my own mistakes, I got through to the end! Paneling is hard... Drawing so much detail is even harder... There were definitely many tears during that zine.

Alongside that, I was working on two NaruMitsu Big Bang projects as an artist. I worked with some really great writers who wrote some amazing stories for our love of this pairing!

Aaaand then after that, I fell in love with The Great Ace Attorney and spent a whole week speedily finishing as many chibi illustrations as I could for Ryuubowl Week, which celebrated the pair AsoRyuu.

Well, I tried to, but ultimately I was so tired from everything else, I didn't get very far beyond one image per challenge/event. Ah, well... There's always next year.

Then... that's it for 2024. It's hard to summarize a whole year of my feelings in a single post (and keep it positive). It's easy to just show all my successes, but there were also many failures. Many attempts in projects that I won't talk about anymore and ideas that couldn't make it through the initial planning phase. There's much more than what I've shown here. But despite it all, I want to keep creating. I want to tell my stories and I want to see people enjoy them!

So I'm going to keep trying. It may not be the way I imagined it to be, I may have to try new methods, but I want to make it happen. And if you read everything and still want to stick around for this journey, thank you, and Happy New Year 2025~

Lucifer

-He strikes me as the type to either have a hydro vision or a geo vision

-more leaning towards hydro

-hydro vision holders tend to be dedicated to their work and uphold their own view of justice, more often than not being protectors of some sort i.e Candace and Aaru village, Ayato with the Kamisato Clan

-I draw parallels between him and Ayato because they both have gone through hell and back for their families (often literally) and have had to salvage tarnished reputations in order to protect said family

-also very rich and elegant men who have a “dark side” that most aren’t aware of

-It’s also just every hydro character being really sophisticated and elegant tbh he fits the vibe I think (minus Childe but he has his moments)

-Geo because, well… look at him. He’s prime geo vision material. Like a rock solid wall holding up the HOL but like he’s also hanging by a thread lol.

Mammon

-Geo Vision, Hear me out on this.

-Not only does it suit his color palette, but if you think about it, Mammon places a lot of responsibility on himself to be a good older brother to his siblings (despite falling short most times), we see this especially during Nightbringer

-Geo’s thing is literally responsibility. Every geo user has some sort of responsibility that they themselves have chosen to undertake, whether or not they can handle it

-They’re all also quite stubborn. Once they’re dead set on something they will never let it go, and on top of that they also protect either someone or something

-Every geo user has a goal relating to something to do with material or status: Ningguang and the Tianqiu, Noelle wanting to be in the KOF, Zhongli wanting to retire (lmfao). Mammon wanting to be rich (and wanting him and his brothers to be at the top of the Devildom in Nightbringer) literally fits.

-Mammon, despite being a goofy character, fits into geo so perfectly it’s actually insane.

-Mammon and Itto are the same person. I’m not elaborating.

Levi

-Electro vision all the way.

-It’s no surprise. Canonically he’s seen as a weirdo, even by his brothers (not me tho I love my men a little pathetic) and he doesn’t spend much time mingling with others, so of course he’s gonna be singled out

-almost every single electro vision holder is outcasted by at least one society; Beidou being cast out of her village, Fischl being thought of as eccentric because of her personality, the literal electro archon becoming a shut-in

-He would absolutely get the vision probably in like the early part of Nightbringer when we got stuck in the TSL universe and he had to make a decision

-(if you’re wondering why I keep bringing up Nightbringer it’s bc it’s the one I’m currently playing ok)

-Levi also passes the “I have a scary animal that helps me fight” thing. Henry’s quite formidable when he’s back to normal size :)

Satan

-Hm, thinking about it and at first I’d say dendro is the obvious answer but there’s also quite a few other contenders actually.

-Pyro is one of them, and when drawing parallels Diluc comes to mind (obvs grumpy men stick together always.) As the avatar of wrath, he’s like mad 80% of the time and I can imagine him raining hellfire upon everything (and he has, best believe).

-But also he’d fit the “passionate” description, he’s so passionate about books and magic that he’d literally kill for a book that he wanted (and did I’m pretty sure). He’d also be considered passionate for hating Lucifer so much I think

-he also has quite the past to fit with a pyro user, especially during Nightbringer when he’s still coming into terms about being basically a baby demon and learning to confront his brothers and finally accept them

-Dendro is quite obvious for him. He craves knowledge from books, and I’m sure if he were in Teyvat he’d find his way in the Akademiya just to get into the House of Daena’s restricted section

-I think either or could be his vision, depends on which Satan you’re talking about (Nightbringer Satan and main timeline Satan are two vastly different individuals)

-if you really wanna get into it tho, cryo/electro's pretty... fitting. Especially for nightbringer Satan. Even if his brothers try not to make him feel like it, he will always be different from them; the fact that he basically was made to replace Lillith in a sense, and he distances himself away from them because he just doesn't fit in.

-all in all he's so versatile realistically he could have like 4/7 visions since his character is so dynamic between the two games

Asmodeus

-Now this was harder to come up with, but after giving it some thought I think he’d have an Anemo vision

-think of it this way. In Nightbringer take a shot everytime I bring that game up his whole arc in the beginning was learning to let go of the celestial realm and accepting the fact that he was a demon now, effectively granting himself the freedom to love himself once more

-Anemo is the element of freedom right? He fought himself and his inner demons for freedom like that, which happens to a lot of those who are granted this vision (Wanderer and Xiao moment)

-Thats really all I have for him. Tbh, the only other vision I could see him wielding his pyro, but I couldn’t think of anything else I can say that hasn’t already been said

-another short anemo king go figure (he and heizou would get along I think)

Beelzebub

-another one I had to really think of, but upon further deliberation with myself I'm thinking pyro again (the default vision lmfao)

-Yes. Passion for food, he'd get along with Xiangling quite well (too well, imagine her in the devildom holy shit)

-Also pretty passionate about working out and protecting his brothers, so there's that lol

-I am stumped on him bc he's like lowkey just there bro like

-Pyro, because as I've stated before, it is both the default vision imo and also the vision for those who are passionate IMO (I cannot stress this enough)

-Diavolo is very passionate about RAD, and the whole "demons getting along with other species" concept is something he has been working very hard on (man is trying to end specieism in the obey me verse)

-on top of his outgoing and friendly personality, pyro really does fit him like a glove. I could make an argument for geo because he shoulders a fuck ton of responsibility for the devildom (esp in nightbringer) but like

-he is warm and friendly and strong, perfect pyro material

Barbatos

-I needed to think about this one for a bit, but after further deliberation with the screams that echo in my head, I am confident in saying that this man has an anemo vision

-if he were in the genshin universe he'd def be one of the shady people from celestia (bro is literally istaroth but i digress)

-as much as anemo fits him aesthetically, I also want to point out that he just... gives people freedom? Like the first half of nightbringer was him finally fulfilling someone's wish to go to heaven to see their lover

-he also just parallels a lot with venti, idk i just see him being very fitting with an anemo vision

-like, he's immortal yet does not look it (Scara, Xiao, Venti), downplays his power to appear "normal" in a sense that he won't be an immediate threat to those perceiving him (Venti), saw a pyro kid and decided to adopt them and begrudgingly take care of them no matter how annoying they are (Xiao and Hu Tao though I may be reaching)

Luke

-bro does not have a vision yet (jk its cryo)

-I feel like he'd be given a hydro vision solely for the fact that he is changing his, quite frankly specie-ist, ways lol (like eula hello?)

-he is quite shy when mc first met him, the only reason why he didn't immediately get mad at them is because they weren't a demon and that's saying something

-he tends to be very guarded around said demons, often becoming aggressive when interacting with them but he's warming up. It's like a wall of ice slowly melting through the mc and simeon's guidance

-he also reminds me of mika for some reason

Solomon

-he has an electro vision and yes, it's exactly the same situation as Lisa

-though he doesn't need one (none of them do tbh), I feel like he wanted one just for shits and giggles like I definitely see him being a descender on Teyvat

-he's literally the most powerful human in the obey me verse, of course he's going to be viewed differently from others even though he "tries" to not be too overt about it (very, very big emphasis on tries. I think he only does it for mc atp)

-I feel like he'd get along well with the electro ladies as well, particularly Miko and Lisa (Gorou and Luke need to hide like asap)

-in all seriousness though, he just fits into electro so well given all the character traits present in electro wielders

-another vision I could see him having is dendro, partly because he's always down to have more knowledge about magic that he doesn't know yet and is in constant pursuit of creating pacts with the demon brothers

Simeon

-another hydro wielder :)

-calm, collected, elegant, sticks to their principles- classic hydro archetype tbh I love him so much

-again, very similar to Lucifer's reasoning but he leans more towards hydro wielders like Nilou and Candace I think, who are quite relaxed but won't hesitate to protect what they love and fight for what they deem is right

-spoiler warning: he literally got cast out of heaven for the mc.

-as I've said before, there really isn't anything I can add that I haven't said before, other than the fact that Simeon would definitely enjoy Xinqiu's company and possibly get along with Furina when discussing acting and the arts

-other than hydro, I don't think any other vision suits him tbh (big maybe on anemo but like, it doesn't really fit tbh)

Some Kind of Lepacy Outline

“A Lepacy is a legacy-style challenge focusing heavily on the content and features of each expansion pack.”

This is just a rough outline. Each generation will explore at least one stuff, game, or expansion pack and almost everything not included in a generation (i.e. traits, aspirations) will be randomized. With an exception here and there if something truly makes sense for a generation but was a base game trait/etc. Or a secondary aspiration may be chosen. If a generation includes more than 3 traits or traits that conflict with one another, some remaining traits/aspirations/etc may be given to the next generation or so forth.

Personally, I play with an adjusted age span that falls somewhere in-between short and normal lifespans. I also keep everything disabled until I "unlock" it through gameplay. The only gameplay mods I am currently using are bits of Lumpinou's Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul and First Impressions. I also have MC Command Center set to a 55% chance for try for baby and 4% risky woohoo enabled. With autonomous woohoo and try for baby allowed.

oh i am so so happy you asked. there is a lot of text. i am partially sorry.

I’d give you drawings or in the very least a doodle but i literally cannot draw them. Unfortunately the screenshotted post is me. Also these ocs are insanely self indulgent. remember the blorbo askgane and you asked me what my favorite tropes were in blorbos, they’re all my dear little amalgamations of these traits given stories. my ultimate blorbos if you will. my little ones.

anyways!!!! I ahve two “universes” thus far and many many many timelines depending on which one I feel like indulging in right then. Not exactly universe as in they’re different realities, they’re taking place in the same reality, same earth. i just use universe to say “these characters are interconnected in some way”, and any characters “outside that universe” are in no way connected to the others.

So!! with that out of the way let’s move on to the actual ocs.

First off, we have Zima Raskolnikova. I lied a little, I was actually able to make a drawing of her awhile back. It’s not really up to my current impression of her, but it’s way better than her first draft.

So what’s with her is first of all, they were made for artfight last year. tehyre not super developed, nor do they have a story yet. but they do have connections! and they do necromancy! and i love necromancers! they are also a coroner, im not sure if the nevromancer thing would be good for bad for her job, maybe they’ll get fired if they animate a fresh body. i dont know. they havent told me yet.

Anyways! her story is a little cliche, i’ll admit now. they were seperated from her brother in an orphanage somewhere after the two were adopted by separate families. Her eye isn’t the result of an accident or anything, they were quite literally born with a faulty eye and it was easier to just remove it and give her a glass one than try and restore function to it. Not that they wear it either way.

I’m cross referencing my oc/misc. discord server and I forgot to write down what her plot was?? I think when i went to write it down i got torn between which version I was going to write. [i typically only write one (canon) version per channel, and i didn’t feel like making a new channel right then]. I don’t think they werre going to reunite with her brother. her brother is on a ship and honestly kinda resigned himself to never finding her again. more on him in a minute.

There was a second canon I made where they go out of her way to find him! it’s not fleshed out because truthfully i haven’t thought about it in awhile, but that canon exists! In the original canon though, they dont find her brother and the two kinda remain seperated. Once I posted about them and another moot of mine rbed telling me how my ocs were just tragedy after tragedy after tragedy. which! fair observation im not even going to lie.

after post note: i had to go through and fix all the ‘she’ pronouns because i routinely forget they go by They/her.

Next up, we have the second character in this little “universe”! Ryuunosuke Ito. He’s a ship captain because I want to be on the sea sometimes. i think it’d be great. that’s literally what it says in the server too

i like fish, i can’t identify many but i like fish.

His story is a little more dependent on the people around him, or, well, person. He has a weird Thing for the ship’s cook that he neither wants to acknowledge let alone accept. He avoids Simon as much as he can, which isn’t a whole lot unless he’s in the captains quarters because ships aren’t that big. Simon thinks he’s weird and has no clue why he keeps avoiding him. He’ll keep serving food bc it gets him paid but it kinda pisses him off to be alone half the time.

Regarding Zima, he vaguely knows she exists. He has no way to contact her, no idea where to start, unsure if he even should.

All in all, atleast in true canon, he doesn’t really end up happy. i don’t know, there’s not a lot to him right now.

I managed to find an old doodle of him and his sister though.

i never came up with an official design for him.

His namesake is from the one, the only, Ryuunosuke Akutagawa!!! note, not the author.

Simon is technically the third “main” character of the universe, but I have somehow even less on him than Ryuu so I’m not even gonna mention him.

Onto our next universe!! This one only has two characters, if you recognize tropes then i’ll say it now: I made them a little bit after I watched Spy’s are forever, so they are somewhat inspired off the musical.

Ivo!! His namesake comes from Ivo Robotnik!! I never watched or played sonic but man i love egg man’s name. Funny thing is I chose robotnik to be his namesake for several reasons, one I keep mixing up Ivo and Tenma’s roles in their universe and the original rough plot line was going to include a robot corpse [i’ll explain that in a minute]. And that namesake took me along the thought-train like “robotnik -> makes robots -> fixes robots -> fixer”. On Tenma, his namesake is from Jinxie Tenma AA:DD. His namesake has meaning as well, mostly because Jinxie kept getting possessed, and in a related way, that is kinda what happens to Tenma.

So Ivo and Tenma are a spy duo, Ivo is on the inside, making things easy to get into, the hacker guy. idk i don’t watch spy movies, spies are forever was an exception. Basically he keeps Tenma safe while he’s out, eye in the sky and all that.

One day while Tenma is out on a mission, Ivo is going through the usual, they’re even chatting a little bit! They’re making plans for when Tenma gets back from the mission, generally there’s little risk right then, so they can slack off. Suddenly Ivo hears a struggle, and the line goes quiet, Tenmas tracker disappears off the map a few minutes later too. For a week he’s off the grid. god knows what’s happening to him or if he’s even alive. Ivo knew that they wouldn’t have forever together, especially in their career. but he didn’t really expect it to end so suddenly, like that. he doesn’t even have a body to bury. Come sunday the following week, Ivo is wallowing in his office when Tenma stumbles inside.

The man is like a corpse. The way he moves, how stiff he is, how he looks, smells, feels. the one thing to set apart a corpse from Tenma is the fact that Tenma walks and is still warm. I haven’t decided where it goes from there, nor really what’s actually wrong with him or what happened. I mean obviously he got caught and tortured for information then dumped somewhere nearly dead, but i’m not too sure the effects that’d have other than physical. anyways! there is an ending where he ends up “warming up” and after a lot of time and effort on Ivo’s part he gets to be Almost Tenma. Not completely the same as before he left, but as close as it’ll get. That’s enough for Ivo.

Time to explain the robot corpse. In the original story, Tenma was going to die. Ivo would have fashioned a robot to look and act like Tenma, but it wouldn’t have been the same. I realized that there’s nothing to do with a plot like that, it’s also not really my style of story so I ended up making the above draft.

i'm interested in so much, which would be impossible to fully state. there are so many new things out there and i love learning about them all!! this blog is mainly for writing but i'm not strict on that.

i also am pretty sure i'm neurodivergent (no diagnosis or anything yet) and tend to delve into hyper-fixations for weeks at a time. if i haven't posted for a while, it's probably because of one of my other hyper-fixations or school.

i'm going to college for my bachelor's in graphic design, which might make my responses during the school year delayed.

The original draft for this post Tumblr decided to just up and delete, so here's take 2. A lot more clinical and scientific, since I want this to double as a research reference.

For those who saw my original post regarding this topic (linked below for convenience of those who did not), I am a former traumagenic system trying to bring back my alters using the painless methods developed by endogenic systems. I am also using myself as an experiment specimen to further research for endogenic systems.

My experiment will start with 2 alters. The first, an alter from my original system. A former little named Sky who aged up and became a caregiver for the other littles, and retained their original purpose as a fragment of childlike joy by developing age regressions.

(Keep in mind most of my alters were formed in 2019 when I was a small gacha creator, even though my system originally formed much earlier. This is my attempt to revamp her design while also making her accurate to my memory. Ages of my alters will all be omitted like my own to avoid creeps, as some of them are minors.)

The second is an entirely new alter I am going to try and develop at the same time, to record the differences in speed and experiences with both. They are currently unnamed, but if you have name suggestions for it, please leave them in the comments. (Think storybook animals or characters from old movies taking place in a small town in the middle of south-nowhere)

As of right now (Wednesday, May 28, 2025) I have experienced a buzz in the back of my mind, like I used to when I had alters, and the sensation of someone else in the front observing me. If I had to guess who it was, I would guess the unnamed rabbit. It didn't feel like Sky's presence used to, according to my memory.
