disclaimer for those who come across this withotu reading my fic: this is a character analysis for yanqing in this fic. ignore canon. it holds no dominion here. thank you hoyoverse for the characters but ill take it from here. anyways, people say the fic is good, so consider reading?

anyways. IM SO EXCITED TO ANSWER THIS, forgive the long drabble youre about to read.

OK SO. first up standard YQ and JY.

YQ has been kept mostly in the dark about the sedition of IL, but he has a rough idea about what went down. in his head, it went like this: "something bad goes down and everyone abandons each other for self preservation."

this isnt... wholly right, but he's not entirely wrong either. the whole point is that YQ has only ever known the aftermath of the event---blade being angry and vengeful, JL being... herself, and then JY suffering almost constant heartache.

so, when he meets the younger JY, hes very... uncomfortable

not only is this version nothing like the general, hes also much happier. hes surrounded by people who YQ believes will one day abandon him entirely, causing him to spend the rest of his life grieving a group of people that never seemed to care for him as much in return. (note, this is how YQ sees it)

not only this, but seeing HCQ together makes him realise that he is closer to the general than any of the HCQ members were to JY---and devolves into a whole new crisis.

YQ has, for the past 10 or so years, been the general's closest confidant---his son, his only family, his apprentice and his best friend. knowing that he hasnt been able to make a dent in the grief left behind by people who don't appear to be more than his friends takes a large chunk out of YQ's self confidence, and he begins questioning how important he is to JY.

now, normally, YQ would bring this up with the general. but currently, thats not really possible. he tries, after losing to JL, but the more he talks to the younger JY, the more he starts seeing the JY he knows instead.

not only that, but the entire fact that he is in the past has YQ constantly on edge. he doesnt know if his actions will change the future he comes from, so having to watch this inevitable trainwreck forming around him without being able to help adds an extra layer of unease.

i was going to talk a bit about JL but i now realise i havent actually finished that chapter so were all just going to hafta wait for that!

You were woken up by the bright light of the morning sun shining down on your face. You blinked your eyes open, surprised that you even managed to sleep a little.

And you realised right after that you were still in Iwaizumi's arms. Not wanting to make things awkward, you slowly moved his arms off of you, even though it pained you to do so on the inside.

Looking at his peaceful sleeping face, you remembered the things he mumbled against you last night. You quickly shook your head.

That must have been a dream, a dream you remember very very clearly for some reason.

His eyes fluttered open at the loss of yout body heat and he looked back at you, eyes slowly focusing in on your face.

"You're making a weird face. What's up?" He asked, voice a little raspy from not using it all night. Oh my, his morning voice is so cu-

No! You should really stop that. "Am I? My apologies, your highness." You bowed.

"Raise your head. You don't need to do all that hoity toity 'your highness' stuff with me, you know. I like it when you treat me like an equal."

You figured. He was always the type of person to dislike being treated differently because of his royal status. You know that from the way he insisted all the knights call him "Hajime" as a kid.

"Okay, Hajime." you forced out, feeling like you've just commited a major sin. His smile in response to your casual way of refering to him was almost worth it, though.

"So... is the door still locked?" he asked after an awkward silence. The air in the room felt oddly heavy. Like there's an unspoken knowledge between the two of you.

You silently walked to the door, attempting to open it. The door didn't budge. "It is."

Another awkward silence followed. The more you thought about it, the more you were starting to realise that might not have been a dream after all.

"Okay, this is killing me. You know I heard what you said, right?" you couldn't take the awkward silence anymore.

"Heard... what?" you weren't sure if he was actually unsure or just pretending to be.

"You told me you loved me last night..." The bandaid had finally been ripped off and you watched his expression slowly shift from one of surprise to one of embarrasment.

"You... heard?" he asked cautiously, as if he didn't want to believe it. You nodded in response, trying your best to not let your determined expression crack.

"And I, uhhhh, love you too..." you looked off into a random corner of the room, too afraid to meet his eyes when making such a confession. This is complete insanity. Never in your life would you have thought you would be confessing to the crown prince.

This must be what they call forbidden love.

"You love me... too?" his tone of voice indicated that he couldn't believe his ears. And frankly, who could blame him? You have to note that his pink cheeks are simply adorable, though.

"Uhh, yeah... I do. Where do... we go from here?" it just started to dawn on you how big of a scandal this could be. The crown prince with a commoner knight?!

Wait, you're still not over the fact that he's in love with you too, though?! Ironically, it feels like you're about to wake up from a dream any second.

"You like me? Iwaizumi Hajime? The crown prince?" He pointed to himself.

"...Uh, yeah..." you wondered if it's really that hard to believe one of his knights is attracted to him considering he has noble ladies practically drooling over him at every banquet he attends.

"Well, I'll be damned. This isn't a dream, by any chance?"

"I would hope it isn't... Because if so, we'll both wake up dissapointed."

I don't think its going to happen. I FULLY hung up the possibility of buddie ever happening at the end of s6 & think Buck realizing hidden feelings for Eddie is basically a confirmation at this point that they'd go in that direction. And I genuinely don't believe they're going to go in that direction. If what Lou said is true (& not misinterpreted) & Tim originally had the idea for this storyline with Eddie but it became Buck's story... that actually just screams more to me they only want one of them to be queer??

I wouldn't be mad about it if it's done right by any means, certainly! I just. Knowing how these networks work, and how Buck being made canon bisexual is literally making history cuz this is just not a thing shows do this far into the series, do I REALLY believe they're gonna go even further and give both Buck and Eddie coming out & queer self-discovery stories? No. I think they want to keep one of them for the straight men and women that watch this show (you know, those ones that just want someone to thirst over & imagine getting with/live vicariously through as they hook up with all the ladies which was the resounding issue most of them had with Buck being bi. Yeah, definitely, I think I understand what you mean. Queerbaiting sucks, but I don't personally think that's what this show is doing. I think a lot of the hints people are claiming as Byler evidence is just based on their interpretation, and not what the creators intended it to be seen as. We honestly can't know what they intended without them confirming it, so it's hard to know one way or the other. I don't believe a lot of the evidence for Byler personally, and it just doesn't make sense narratively for the show like you mentioned. I don't know, it's complicated. If anyone else wants to share their thoughts on this, feel free to leave them in the comments. :)

for anon who asked abt general explanation why being radqueer is bad. (i'm kinda interested in this theme and recently have read a lot of rqs' and transids' shit so here is a summary).

1. their ideology is built on a dangerous idea. they present themselves as "accepting everything," but, in fact, no one should accept everything. unacceptable things are called unacceptable for a reason. they mistake or purposely distort the idea of acceptance. acceptance isn't dragging everyone in harmful things, acceptance isn't pulling ur beliefs & labels on someone. they call themselves "the most tolerant community," but some things shouldn't be tolerated.

2. going further into their ideas. they claim they support paraphilias & transids. the second part is awful in any way (it'll be in the next paragraph). abt the first one. they may say strangers that they don't support harmful actions, but actually a big part of them do. u can even find them on tumblr, making pride flags for awful things. ex-rqs tell stories abt radqueer servers where they teach each other grooming and raping. where they push minors to predators. where they convince them to share their photos. so their 'anti contact' is mostly a mask for strangers to look innocent, not actual value. so, this movement is harmful for minors, animals, ones who have self-destructive urges or paraphilias (because they can and will literally push them to abuse) and people with harmful paraphilias who don't wanna contact and need support on their recovery way, not pressuring them into contact. also, their actions worsened the reputation of para-community because rqs make associations with themselves. so some people feel unsafe to be open abt their paraphilias because they may be seen as radqueers.

3. abt transids. (transids are identities for people who identify themselves with other race, age, disability that they don't have & so on). there are a lot of problems with this idea. first: it's transphobic in the core. gender is a thing that u understand by self-investigating. humanity too. these two are vague things with tons of lays and they're not closed. race, age, and disabilities are different. they have really huge basics determined besides self-identification. so trying to 'became a different race/age' or 'get a disability' is racist/creepy/ableist. abt their ideas of getting disabilities: they don't actually want it. it's not like in biid, it's more like they wanna wear it like a cool outfit. put it on when it's convenient, and take it off when inconveniences appear. same with race/ethnicity. u know, some cultures have open practices or ways to convert, but they don't actually try to understand the reality of the group they relate with. they don't try to respect them. they just wear it like a cool outfit. aren't going to actually convert. aren't going to listen, learn, and respect. aren't going to face discrimination and actually live 'chosen' life. just making fun. and it's a really bad way. it's diminishing of the experience of being <identity>. their actions show clearly that they don't understand. like, i saw it clearly when read abt 'medically unrecognized disorders'. they literally coin disorders by will (and it's either descriptions of existing disorders or normal things). they coin 'community terms'. like, do u know abt community terms for disorders in disabled community? it's abt history of medical abuse. of dehumanization, neglect, looking on living, thinking, feeling person like on an object. it's abt searching independence. abt searching names for actual experience. it's not abt making fun (at least not only abt making fun). it's a need, not a game or smth rqs think. i can rant a lot abt this but it seems enough.

4. 'but if someone claim themself radqueer but won't do these awful things?' 1) to be radqueer u have to accept transids (it's bad). 2) u can be dragged in dangerous situations. 3) u can be convinced that bad things 'aren't that bad'. and believe me, everyone can be convinced. because complaying is a really deep thing in our brain. people pressured by majority or authority can agree with things they won't agree before. can do things they won't do before. and u will be pressured hard.

so, my advice abt this: stay as far from radqueers as u can. there's no good inside. don't give them even silent support by staying with them.

Prologue

You always known as the beautiful girl with starry eyes. Shining so bright, you are always been every guys' crush at school, even Jack started to doubt his crush on Sierra when you seemed to catch his breathe very often than she ever did. And yet, neither of them knows what you truly hide behind that mask of beautiful lie. Your bright stars turned into darker ones when you feel very very intense negative feelings, and you still managed to hide that by saying it's normal and will eventually go after sometime. They believe in you, as you usually have only one star in your left eye, and the other one on the right will appear when you feel either positive or negative. No one realizes you lied. No one, but them.

Smokescreen

He is very very energetic and always been supportive from the beginning. When you first met him after you accidentally involved in an Energon Hunting Race thanks to Starscream, the Autobots decided to take you before the Decepticons do. Your eyes are unusual, after all. Shockwave or Knock Out may try to 'open' you up and study what causes you to have six-pointed stars like that. It was that day when you learned that you are tricked and fooled by those you consider close, your eyes turning dark. Desire to take revenge has taken over, and your stars get darker whenever you have ill intentions to use everyone who are valuable to you and your plans. Smokescreen, ever the observant, notices this and asks what's wrong. You shook your head and said that it was fine, but he doesn't seemed to buy that.

"You okay there, [Name]? You don't look very good..."

"I'm fine, Smokey. What is so different about me?"

He pretends to ponder for a moment, before straight-forwardly points out the darker stars.

"You usually only have one on the left, and now you have two. I know it's normal but... I don't think black stars mean something good."

Smokescreen immediately come into conclusion that something is not right about you when he sees your dark stars dilated and radiated black aura around your (E/C) eyes.

"Look, I know something had make you upset and if it was me then I'm very very sorry, but could you please tell me what happened and why the black stars? I hate to see your dark stars, especially if it means something bad."

He seemed sincerely wanted to help you, and he is such a good listener albeit his energetic and exaggerated personality. He listens carefully to you when you pour your problems. He has his own unique distinct personality after all. You trust him.

"It was... nothing too much of my concern... just... the feeling of betrayed by someone you always believe in feels so... rude."

He will listen closely to what you say, and after that, you both have a very warm cuddling session!! <3

i just want to preface with: these fics are often very dark, and in some ways very fucked up. there are actions in the fics that i do not condone. i will add some general warnings but please read every warning before proceeding if you are sensitive to anything. (i personally dive headfirst without reading any warnings bc i thrive on chaos and nothing bothers me. idk what kind of person that makes me.)

i haven't read a ton of mafia/fics like Collateral, but here are things with very morally ambiguous characters. and many of them are darker, in some ways, than Collateral is.

Truthfully, now that I think about it, I should probably add that into my pinned post, haha! Though, my gallery and pinterest are riddled with humanization drawings that are just nail on the head for me, and I might lean towards using other people's art(with credit, as i did in the other ask) when showing my humanizations for them(with exceptions to the ones that don't have any to how i see them and i have to draw myself((not that i mind teehee))) just because I don't know how well my art reflects that, and especially with the art I did in that other ask was very rushed doodle art so it's off and messy looking.

I'm not sure if you know how to search tumblr blogs(should be a little magnifying glass in the top right corner near where you click on the ask box and stuff) and if you look up the tag "Kaneart"(idk if you have to capitalize the 'K' or not) you should be able to see all the art I've posted so far! And I have a lot more completed art works there that are fully fleshed out and colored, that might help a bit.

it's funny i got this ask today bc i just noticed last night that people are finally beginning to discuss states on loatwt and how important it is in manifesting! so, progress!!

also i believe mindless affirming works the same way subliminals do. even if your conscious mind isn't paying attention to your affirmations, your subconscious mind can still hear it and picks up on it. but i think that actually paying attention to your affirmations can be a good tool for shifting your state and getting your conscious mind acquainted with the idea of having your desire. if you're mindlessly affirming 24/7 and have a shitty mental diet the rest of the time, you might not see success. this was actually my problem a few years ago, so i speak from experience.

i do agree with you abt the affirming thing. it really irks me when people on there say affirming isn't a technique/a method. their argument is that all of your thoughts are affirmations and you're thinking all day long and therefore can never stop affirming--which is true--but i definitely think they're getting a little confused. when we say "affirming" in the community, we clearly are referring to the act of repeating affirmations. like saying "i am rich i am rich i am rich" over and over again on a loop. that is not natural (for most people). Before you knew about the law, you were still able to manifest using your thoughts, but they were your natural thoughts, not ones that you manufactured with the purpose of either manifesting your desire/getting you in the feeling of the wish fulfilled. so i definitely think that affirming is a technique.

however, we are thinking thoughts all day long, and those thoughts have the same effect as affirmations. that's why we tell you to go on a mental diet. as long as you're keeping up a mental diet, you don't have to repeat affirmations if you don't want to. and a lot of people on loatwt seem unable to differentiate the two.

someone replied to one of my tweets saying that it was impossible to manifest without affirming and whoever suggested you should do that probably hasn't been able to manifest shit. which is just so.....

first of all it was a weird thing for them to comment bc my post never said not to affirm or that affirming didn't work, and we all know (over here at least) that i recommend affirming all the time and never say it doesn't work, bc it does! but second of all, i have also shared multiple times on my page that whenever i finally started consciously manifesting it's because i stopped affirming. i still kept up a strict mental diet, but i was no longer repeating affirmations. so yeah, it's 100% possible. i mean, some people manifest just by visualizing or scripting. affirming is not necessary to manifest, and it's definitely a limiting belief to assume that you have to affirm 5 million times a day in order to manifest. (which is essentially what i tweeted and everyone got mad at me lol)

as for the focus on manifesting sps on loatwt, tbh i'm kinda glad to see it. i'm not currently manifesting an sp, but i learned about loa in 2019, and my main goal for 2019-2020 was manifesting an sp. and nooo one talked about it in the communities i was in. loatwt and loa tumblr didn't exist at the time, so i was on the loa reddit and neville goddard reddit and omg. it was mainly just a bunch of middle aged women and men who were SO mean. they were mainly manifesting money and health and jobs, which is all good! we've all been there! but if you were manifesting an sp or appearance changes they were soooo mean to you. especially since at the time i was an 18/19 year old girl, and they looked down on me sooo heavy for that. they would always tell me to move on from manifesting my sp bc "i was too young" and "i'd find someone new" etc. and if you were manifesting appearance changes, they'd tell you you just needed to manifest confidence instead and accuse you of wanting to change your face/body to appeal to the male gaze and make boys like you. and it was just so???? it was so disgusting.

so all that to say that i'm glad that there is a community on loatwt for people who are manifesting sp's without judgement. since i feel like 80% of them are young girls manifesting sps. and other parts of the internet definitely have misogynistic takes on young girls wanting love and relationships, which is gross imo.

the posting of tumblr posts without credit pisses me tf off. someone with like 2000 followers posted one of my posts with my username cropped out and i quote-retweeted it saying it was by remcycl333 on tumblr and she just ignored me and never gave me credit or acknowledged me at all. just such odd behavior. i've called it out many times but i still see people doing it.

i love my loatwt tl bc i've made lots of friends i adore on there, and i loveee twitter circle its so much fun, but every now and then i see shit that pisses me off. another thing that i've noticed with loatwt is that a lot of them have not been able to grasp the fact that everyone manifests in a different way. and that our assumptions about manifesting affect the way we manifest. for example the person i said earlier who said it was impossible to manifest without affirming. like they said that to ME of all people hahahaha it made me laugh

1. Canon I outright reject? he would NEVER leave natsume not EVER. i know tsubasa had to basically drag him out of there but i hate that he left i HATE it

2. A canon or headcanon hill I will die on? i don't think he would ever date mikan after natsume's hypothetical death. i don't think either of them would be able to.

3. Obscure headcanon? his favorite disney movie is fox and the hound.

4. Favorite line? "Meeting you, and coming with you here to the Academy... I never even once regretted it." (chapter 146)

5. Best personality trait? his loyalty. he's very sweet and i love that, but his loyalty is what moves mountains, what fights wars, what transcends the rules of time and space.

6. Worst personality trait? i must have mentioned this at some point but he's perfect. but really i think he shouldn't feel like such a burden when he brings so much to the table.

7. Age/height/weight headcanon? i don't need a headcanon when i have character profiles! 140 cm/4'6 and 35 kg/77 lbs at his debut, 173 cm/5'8 and 66 kg/145 lbs in the last chapter. also i believe he's the youngest of the main four? he turns 11 in march, after natsume, mikan, and hotaru have all had their 11th birthdays.

8. Unpopular opinion about them? i've already said i only like his relationship with mikan platonically, so i'll say something else.

9. Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character? "bird meets tori!" where we see him using his alice with piyo. though it's been so long since i first met him that i really can't remember ever NOT loving him.

43. 3 favorite foods and 3 they despise? i think ruka would like bread and pastries, lots of desserts. i dont have much of an inkling what he wouldn't like except that i believe he's a vegetarian so he wouldn't eat meat. i just dont understand how he could have such connection and empathy for animals, genuinely love them as friends, and have the animal pheromone alice on top of that, and eat them. i dont think he'd judge anybody for eating meat, but he wouldn't be able to himself.

Scariest moment of their life? poor ruka has gone through a lot of scary moments but i think he's managed to be brave each time anyway, which is very admirable. i keep saying natsume for all his answers, but i think natsume's death would be the scariest moment because he genuinely couldn't do anything to stop it. i think not only was it the moment he lost his best friend, but also a moment that made him feel like he really couldn't be of any help or support to natsume after all, that he really was a burden.

49. Favorite toy as a child? rich boy ruu-chan had a lot of toys and while i'm tempted to think he'd like stuffed animals, at the end of the day i think he'd be way more interested in playing with real animals. i think they made him feel accepted and understood and less alone.

50. A memory they’ve blocked out? i think the memories of the time between natsume dying and coming back would be a bit blurry. he wouldnt have been holding on tight to that period of time, to put it lightly.

Age/height/weight headcanon? who needs headcanon when we have canon!! natsume is ten (a couple months away from eleven) when he's introduced and the second youngest (only older than ruka) in the main four (the boys being younger than the girls is so cute). he's sixteen at the epilogue and in kageki <3. he's 140 cm/4'6 and 34.5 kg/76 lbs when we meet him, and 175 cm/5'9 and 72 kg/159 lbs at the epilogue.

8. Unpopular opinion about them? i think the popular opinion is that natsume is a baby boy who deserves peace and love after a childhood of rage and agony but if you disagree, i'll throw u off a cliff myself.

Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character? im gonna be real with u. he was my fav from the start. i never ever had negative feelings towards him ever from the beginning. is that weird? idk. i dont really care. i saw him with his mask and was determined to watch the whole anime just bc he was in it.

Best moment on screen (or in the book)? it's really hard for me to answer this but i think my favorite natsume moment is when he finally rebels against the ESP and persona... something he'd always wanted to do but couldn't, finally given the chance through the knowledge that he'd rather be dead than allow mikan to live through the same suffering that he does.

13. Dumbest thing they’ve ever done? getting mikan to play the prince. he's so fucking stupid.

Most heroic moment? he wishes it was his death scene! i think his most heroic moment was when he decided to go to the academy for his sister. i pick this scene and not any others bc when natsume risks his life later on, part of it is motivated by suicidal ideation so it's kinda hard for me to think of those moments as anything but.

15. Worst thing they’ve ever done? same answer as ruka's. yes i say this even knowing that he might have killed people during DA missions. those other ppl arent real to me; mikan is.

Quotes, songs, poems, etc. that I associate with them? again, zoe and i made a killer playlist for the main 4 ga characters. natsume's is the best though, we both agree. since, again, the playlist is still under construction, here are some tracks from it that suit him. (lots of them are triggering, particularly regarding thoughts of suicide, just as a warning.)

18. What they’d go to see a therapist about? everything? trauma, self-image, martyr complex, suicidal ideation, dealing with terminal illness... there's a lot.

DA missions are not safe and although natsume is canonically immune to his own fire, he's not immune to flying shrapnel and rubble. i like the anime showing us some glimpses into what his missions might look like. we even got to see him get shot, an injury he (presumably) patched up himself instead of going to the hospital for, which is VERY in character. the anime NAILED that episode (chef's kiss, best episode ever, hands down).

21. Drink of choice (not just alcoholic)? cherry dr pepper (this is just a ridiculous joke zoe and i made that is now serious. what a sickening beverage)

22. Best physical feature? his eyes! so pretty. i also love his silky hair. he is SO pretty and has sUCH pretty eyelashes. most beautiful boy ever.

33. Something guaranteed to make them cry? sadly, natsume rarely cries. but he cries when he loses someone, so leaving his father, and i think he must have cried when he woke up after dying just to find out mikan was gone.

35. Their idea of a perfect day? a good day would probably be if he doesn't have to go on a mission. a perfect day would be the two christmases where he got to kiss mikan. i think he went to sleep very happy those nights.

48. Scariest moment of their life? when aoi burned down the village, though i do think he's had lots of scary moments after that too. i just think that was probably the moment he realized how powerless he really was, how much he was at the mercy of others simply bc he was a child.

A memory they’ve blocked out? natsume is a big ball of trauma so i wouldnt be surprised if there was plenty. i think he's kind of forced to compartmentalize a lot, since his experiences in the DA class are so gruesome and different from his school life, so he'd be forced to pretend like he didn't just go on a terrifying mission last night, which leads to unprocessed trauma and maybe even blurred memories.

1. Canon I outright reject? if higuchi tachibana doubting that "natsume won" is canon, then i reject it. mikan MADE A CHOICE. in your manga, higuchi!!!! she even says, "these feelings i have only for you", which means the only person she loves romantically is natsume. higuchi YOU WROTE THIS.

3. Obscure headcanon? even though natsume can have a potentially atrocious taste in fashion, i think mikan would find his fits cute nonetheless, maybe just bc it's him!

I love when she tells natsume to join her team before the sports fest. she NEVER asks for anything from natsume or tells him how she feels but she takes a risk this once and it's wonderful until he rejects her and she takes a long while to recover from that moment where she finally put herself out there only to get turned down.

Age/height/weight headcanon? we have canon!! she is (unbeknownst to her) eleven years old when she first comes to the academy and is turning seventeen when we see her again in the last chapters. she's 138 cm/4'6 and 33 kg/73 lbs at her debut and 158 cm/5'2 and 47 kg/104 lbs at the last chapters.

8. Unpopular opinion about them? it's okay that she's stupid! i dislike when mikan is made so much smarter, or when they significantly alter her personality, in fics. i think she's pretty great the way she is!

HARD TO SAY. regrettably i wasn't always a huge fan of mikan, especially in the anime, bc i thought she was annoying. but i think when i matured just a little, it was hard to keep it up. i think i fully loved her on the second rewatch/reread. i couldnt tell u the specific scene bc it was too long ago.

10. Best moment on screen (or in the book)? i reread just this little moment so often. i'm not saying it's a healthy moment, hiding her feelings until she's alone, but it's so her and it's so heart-crushing and tragic. i love it.

Worst thing they’ve ever done? mikan rarely does things out of ill-will. i could say one of her well-intentioned blunders, but that feels cheap. i'll say this, then, when mikan tells natsume that him worrying about her is a bother. i'll talk about it during my essay, but mikan says that, against her urges to keep him with her, because she remembers the pain of him choosing luna over her and she, in that moment, reacts in a kneejerk way to make him hurt a little too. it's the only moment i can think of where she hurts somebody without at least meaning well. (and YES i know that this is right after luna told her to keep their encounter a secret, but mikan chooses to be cold to natsume in a way that she isnt towards hotaru or her other friends for asking similar questions.)

16. Deepest darkest secret they won’t even admit to themselves? mikan never admits anything to herself! that she loves natsume sticks out the most though.

Their dream job? i like to see mikan in people-oriented, caring-based roles, like as a nurse or a teacher, where there's emphasis on helping people. i think she'd really thrive in a career like that. i especially like imagining her as a teacher. Heyy sorry if this is a stupid question, u can just delete it if u want, but I'm kinda curious as to what ur icon is/represents?

It's not weird at all, I'm honestly surprised I don't get asked it a little more often! It's basically just a seven-point star that I drew and then did a little fancy in MS Paint. I've been using it as an icon pretty much as long as I've needed an icon on the internet - this isn't the original one I used, because the file for that one got corrupted and a bit grainy as a result, so I drew a new one. Just free-handed it with a mouse, cleaned it up a little, filled in some of the empty spaces with light green, then filled in the rest with the same green I used to draw the lines.

I chose a seven-point star because I've thought they were cool ever since I learned how to draw them and they're also easy to do once you know how. The 'easy' part was important, because I wanted to make my own icon that was just me instead of using a screenshot or something, but also MS Paint is and was my only art program, and you better believe I didn't have any art tech tools either! Could I have used a photo? Yes, I had a digital camera and could easily have used one of my own photographs, but please consider this: I didn't want to. I chose light green on dark green because fav colour and I like how it looks.

It's also fun because another name for a seven-point star is a faery/fairy star, which - given my propensity for verbal mischief and the colour green - is rather fitting, at least to my mind. A little joke that no one seems to notice, probably because it requires some pretty specific, obscure knowledge, but I like it. It suits me. I'm the one and only Tie-dyed Trickster (GreenTrickster to my friends here on tumblr), this is my star, and that is its story. Hope you liked it! ^U^
