short answer: I'm not sure, possibly by early october. its my first time writing a fic, so I ask you to be patient with me! the outline is written and being tweaked, and its going through adjustments now that MD ep 8 is out. Im also moving across the world, so I'm a tad bit busy rn.

Will you include MD ep8 into the canon of your fic?

at first I was on the fence, but its grown on me, its being integrated now.

Will you be drawing all of DaGOI in comic form?

if I was a stronger man I would. I'll mostly be drawing key story moments. making comics is an aid to helping me write. so I'll be making a lot, but I may not be posting them until the chapters start coming out (trying not to spoil everything). to give you an idea, as of writing this, I have 6 comics on the backburner lol.

Hi! When did you get into hq? Have you had trouble with waning interest over time, or how do you keep your passion fresh?

hi!! i first watched haikyuu at around the end of 2019, where i just binge watched all of season 1-3. i enjoyed it a lot and thought it was really really good, but somehow i didn't get into it then. i just kind of said "oh they weren't kidding about it being good", and didn't engage with or create much fancontent. (a couple of my friends liked it, one of them even started playing vball because of it in hs)

when s4 came out i watched the first few episodes as they came out but didn't actually keep up with it all the way!! i only ended up finishing season 4 sometime last year.

around 2022, my brother wanted to find an anime to watch with our family, and i thought haikyuu would be a good choice (especially for my mom) since i thought it was very wholesome, exciting sports fun with good characters. while i was rewatching i was one again like "hey this is really good" and i made this blog to post occasional drawings. this time i was more invested since i noticed more characters the second time around, and i was like oh there's a LOT of funny little guys in here

then i started doing 1hqaday on a whim after seeing some prompts for 15 and 30 day challenges, soon after finished s4 and read the manga and got VERY invested! (also i only started REALLY liking akaashi here lol) also i think having to find references for a whole bunch of characters and thinking about their significant moments while drawing them made me appreciate each of them more, and haikyuu as a whole.

compared to a lot of people id say im still relatively new to actually being a part of the fandom so i haven't dealt with much waning interest in my current phase (i dont count since the beginning since i wasn't originally that invested), but in the past i tended to cycle through main interests every year or so. haikyuu still seems to have a lot going on though, and i have SOOO many ideas i haven't drawn yet that i hope ill be able to stick around for quite a while!

this got a lot longer than i meant it to, as per usual so its going under the cut lol anyways i hope this ask opens yalls minds that i can actually say a lot more than u would probably guess and i fucking WILL if prompted theres only a few topics i've been banned from talking about as of yet.

oh god yes i get to talk about tates ex >:) so heres the thing: despite the fact that tate still thinks of her often and the trauma of their relationship is still very heavily with him, we will never hear of her in the comic itself. remember that psy is mostly in control of the narrative and which thoughts we get to see from everyone. there are soooo many thoughts that simply dont get portrayed in the comic because psy considers them irrelevant or tonally inappropriate. so ppl who keep up with the blog actually get a lot more context and interesting tidbits that add to analyzing the characters and maybe see them more sympathetically, especially tate lol

while tate obviously wasn't perfect in the relationship i think he was very much the victim in most instances. like. he did get cheated on. it was rough. the worst part is all of his friends at the time were his girlfriend's friends, and when they broke up, they all took her side and he was alone.

since their break up, he hasn't been in any other serious relationships. lots and lots of one night stands, a few dates here and there, but he's not interested in monogamy anymore, period. and he's convinced himself that he doesn't really want a serious, romantic relationship, and is happy just sleeping around and doing whatever, but he really really yearns for someone who cares about him and loves him fully and genuinely... so like, the result of his ex is that he is very wary of trusting someone so fully with his heart like he once did, despite so desperately wanting to... Scott vividly remembered a memory of both John and Virgil banning him from the kitchen. They already had Grandma to start fires for them, they don't need Scott helping.

But even they would have to be willing to forgive him for dabbling with their janky pancake maker considering the circumstances.

"It's started," Virgil plainly stated while standing on the other side of Scott's desk.

The brunet could only look up confused, the paper he was reading previously loosely gripped in his hand with one of his favorite pens in the other, "What started?"

Virgil sighed, but not at Scott, just at the situation in general, "I was helping Alan get ready this morning and started brushing his hair. I got about four brushes in before a clump of hair fell out."

Well, what great news to start the day off with.

"Jesus," Scott could only lightly slam the paper and pen he was holding down onto the table to push his wrists into his eyes. "Jesus Christ."

They were all expecting it to happen sooner rather than later, still didn't suck any less.

Virgil walked around to place a gentle hand on his brother's shoulder, rhythmic with his comforting rubs as much as possible, "Yep."

Scott left a hand on the side of his face as he looked out over their house with a shake of his head, staring off into space as a million thoughts raced behind his eyes, "God, why Alan out of all people, out of us? What has he done in his life to deserve this?"

Virgil shrugged his shoulders, swallowing the spit in his mouth as he proceeded to look out over the room just like Scott, "Nothing, absolutely nothing, which is why cancer sucks so much. People who get it never deserve all the pain it brings with it."

John mentioned something about eating lots of healthy things during treatment, didn't he?

Scott grabbed a cup from one of the cabinets before heading over to the fridge. Filling the plastic container to the top with some grapes, pineapple, and carrots (Alan's favorites), Scott went back to the tray to place it on there and leaned away a little bit to make sure everything on it looked presentable.

A few pancakes, a cup of juice, utensils, and now a cup of fruits and veggies.

Scott sighed while carefully grabbing the edges of the whole thing, hoping it would be enough (would anything be enough right now?).

Making his way to Alan's room quietly, he used one of his feet to prod the door open to the kid's room, leaning over the tray in his hands to peek inside. With the sun rising over the horizon and peering in from the window, the room was lit up just enough to make Alan's outline on the bed, IV and all.

For the most part, patients tended to receive their treatment in a clinic or hospital, but occasionally, with the help of an on-site nurse, chemotherapy can be given at a person's own home. With both Brains' and Virgil's expertise, it wasn't that hard convincing the staff to release Alan and to let him stay with his own family.

They weren't dumb with it, and anything they were even slightly unsure about involved inviting a private doctor to the island to help them out, but for the most part, they knew the best thing they could do for the kid was letting him be in a familiar environment he felt safe at.

With a soft 'click', the door was pushed back shut with the same foot he used to open it. Scott took a deep breath, "Alan?"

He thought he would need to speak again before the youngest finally stirred and rotated himself around to look at the door. Once he noticed who was in his room and what that person was carrying, he sat up on his hands and knees with an ear-to-ear grin, "Scott!"

Scott was sure to hide the way he wanted to grimace at how Alan sounded, "Hey Allie, I got something for ya."

Walking over to the bed, Scott leaned down to place the food on Alan's lap, grinning at how happy the smile on his face was. Sitting down on the edge of the covers, Scott crossed his arms as he stayed to make sure nothing went wrong.

Ignoring how Alan's hand trembled while holding the fork, Scott watched Alan take a bite of pancake. He hummed around the utensil in his mouth, words mumbled as he spoke with food in his mouth, "Wow, this is great! Did Virgil make this?"

Scott laughed, though it had a hint of unsureness behind it, "Um, thank you, but no, I made it."

Alan moved to munch on some grapes as he absorbed the words, "But John said you weren't allowed to use the kitchen any more?"

Dirty snitches the lot of his brothers were, sometimes. With a fond sigh, Scott reached forward and ruffled Alan's hair the softest he ever had, "Well, he can take it up with me later if it bothers him so much."

Alan giggled before continuing on and finishing the breakfast Scott made for him. Nothing else needed to be said, everything the two of them needed could be achieved by just being in each other's presence. It almost felt like an eternity, with how slowly Alan was eating, but eternity was exactly how much time Scott had for his brothers anyway.

Setting the fork down, Alan leaned back with a blissed-out sigh, "That hit the spot. Thanks again Scooter."

Scott nodded, "Of course, it was my pleasure."

The brunet stood up and stretched his arms above his head to get the knots out of his back. Before he could fully reach down to grab the tray for when he left the room, Alan shot forward and wrapped his hand around his older brother's wrist.

The grip laughably weak, yet it still tugged on Scott's heart all the same. Despite it all, Alan still had the ability to whip out an absolutely stellar pair of puppy-dog eyes, "Please stay with me."

Scott had a lot to do today. He had to sign a bunch of papers, make a few phone calls, and he still wasn't sure whether or not he needed to go to the mainland for an in-person meeting. Still, "Sure thing, bub."

As gently as he could, Scott lowered himself back onto the bed next to Alan, grabbing the now-free-of-food tray and setting it onto the table next to them. Worming his way closer to the headboard to be more comfortable, Scott had all of two seconds before Alan's head was on his shoulder and the kid's arms were wrapped around his right one.

With a fond sigh, Scott pulled out his phone, content with the idea that he'd probably be hunkering down for a while. After a few rings, he held it horizontal as John's hologram appeared before him.

He spoke quietly, "Hey John, do you mind rescheduling anything I have for today for later in the week? Something came up, I'm gonna be kind of busy."

Noticing the tuft of blond in the corner of Scott's hologram, John didn't need to be told twice, "Sure thing, Scott."

"hey, can you grab those lights?"

he asked, pointing to the coffee table and i nodded, standing up and unraveling them. i watched as he plugged them in, nodding as they lit up. then he moved closer to the tree. he started on the one side, placing the strand gently against the branches and looking to me expectantly with his arm outstretched behind it.

"what?"

i asked a little confused and he drew his brows.

"will you help me wrap this?"

he said just as confused and i nodded.

"uh, yeah."

i said, taking the strand and trying to mimic what i had seen him do on the other side. i got the bottom row down before he took the strand back and started working his way up, surrendering it to me again and repeating the process. It took about ten minutes back and forth and when the lights were done he grabbed the strands of beads. I helped as he got to work on it just like we did with the lights, him passing them to me to wrap. It took a little longer even though I thought I had the rhythm down but he kept moving around to my side of the tree to readjust them. I frowned to myself as we hit the last branch, him moving them again.

"Better."

He said proudly, smiling up at it. I nodded once and moved to sit on the couch. When he looked over to me and realised I wasn't standing there anymore he frowned too.

"What are you doing? We haven't put the ornaments on yet."

He said and I shrugged.

"I didn't know you were supposed to."

I said and be laughed. I just stared at him till his face dropped.

"What do you mean? Of course you're supposed to."

I shrugged again.

"Dont judge me, ive never done something like this before."

I said, scooting to the edge of the couch and planting my feet firmly on the ground. He looked taken aback for a second.

"Wait, you've never decorated a Christmas tree before?"

I shook my head and he looked a little sad.

"Nope."

I said, reaching for the box he had brought in that I now assumed had ornaments in it.

"Oh."

He said, taking a ball from me after I opened the box.

"I'm sorry to hear that."

He said and I shrugged, handing him another one.

"If it's all the same to you, I'm having a good time. I didn't know it was this much work though, that's for sure."

I said light hearted and he laughed a little bit.

"It really is huh?"

He asked and I nodded, laughing back.

"Yeah, warn a bitch next time."

I said and he shook his head at me, placing two more ornaments on the tree.

"I'll have to keep that in mind, especially when we take it down at the end of the season."

He said and I made a disgusted face.

"Right, take it down."

I said and he snickered, shaking his head.

"It's not as fun but that's okay, it's the time we get to spend together that matters most."

He said and I felt a ping in my chest promoting me to get up. I walked to him as he turned to get another ornament but hugged him instead. He froze for a second before realizing what was happening and hugging me back, resting his head against mine.

"Thanks for being my family rick."

I said softly, feeling him squeeze me tighter to him. He hummed lightly into my ear as he rubbed my back haphazardly.

"Thanks for being mine."

He whispered and I breathed deeply, still not letting go. I never knew Christmas time could be this nice, but it was something I would never forget. As I pulled away he tried to study my face but I just moved to hand him another ornament, picking one up for myself too.

"So..."

I looked to him quizzically.

"Where would you like this one?"

how you choose your titles

it’s always a song lyric! i know i’m edgy but like. music is literally the greatest thing on the planet and some lyrics just capture the vibe i’m going for perfectly! sometimes, i have a playlist for a pair and i’ll use a lyric from one of those songs, like what i did for my songxiao fics. for cybaqm, i knew i wanted something about being quiet in the title because lxc’s quietness (literally, and his unwillingness to ask for help, his fear of being a burden, etc etc) are huge themes in the fic, so i really wanted something to do with that! and Lost Man Running by Elliot Root was actually already a song I really liked, so when i was scrolling through my spotify for inspo, i saw and was like oh man, i have to. i just have to, it’s perfect. (fun fact: i actually associated lost man running with obi-wan kenobi before i gave it to lxc)

do you outline

not at all! it’s a real problem. altho actually for cybaqm, i was really putting maximum effort into that, so i’ll sometimes outline a couple chapters in chunks, write it, then just keep going, then sometimes when i get stuck go back to outlining. mostly, tho, no.

First and foremost I saw you write cute prompts with cute guys and I thought the request system was pretty neat. I can’t for the life of my remember where I first saw Haikyuu I know I heard of it before watching it. It was probably as simple as earnest sport boys are hot so watch this anime. Still reeling on a single reason I stayed since so many of the guys are just so pretty or hot or both.

Full disclosure I had no one in mind when I started writing this submission so most of my brain power is thinking of my favorite character right now. There is so many to choose from but upon further consideration it is Bokuto koutarou (as I typed his last name his first came up in the suggestion bar lol) he is so energetic and screenshots from the manga make him BEEFY he has my heart in his hands. I’m trying really hard to put to words what else is great about my sweet owl boyfriend something about his hair probably.

You run a very cute blog and I respect your positive attitude even when you’re a user of this hell site. Hopefully it’s not presumptuous that you male x male reader inserts although it would be a lie if I said I don’t care if you do. 750 might seem like an abnormal thing to celebrate but! that’s 3/4 of the way to 1k so im doing it 😼 also i forgot a 500 follower celebration so im trying to make up for it

this isnt the intro to the event i have planned but im gonna talk about it (and my plans for the rest of the year 😳) in this post so keep reading lol. if youve read my rules, you know that i dont really take requests, but rather suggestions. this is for my mental health, bc im ADHD as hell and its stressful to have requests piling up in my inbox that i feel pressure to finish.

HOWEVER, because i missed the 500 follower thing, i have decided to do a prompt event. i’ll make a post about it tomorrow; keep a lookout for that! it’ll be kiss prompts, and i’ll accept characters from BNHA, Haikyuu, and Blue Lock (if any of yall know the latter). There’s a total of 20 prompts; i dont wanna write 60 fucking prompts so. itll mostly just be which ones i feel like doing, trying to keep it at around 20/25 with minimal repeats. Those will then be published over the course of this month (and probably on into November, knowing me). They won’t be full one-shots like I tend to write but more similar to the ones I’ve labeled “Scenarios” on my masterlist, or my In Your Arms series, shorter and easier to write.

SECONDLY, after that’s done, will be Villainy, a villan!Deku fic. I’ve been working on Villainy for a good while and it probably would have come out by now if not for my collabs getting priority. It’s a slow burn fic that’ll probably end up at around 10k words, with the reader as a lois lane-esque investigative reporter doing an article on the former number one hero turned S-class villain, Deku. I’m not sure when that’ll come out, but we’ll say late November for now, because the prompt event will take priority.

FINALLY, and this is a biggie, astute old followers of mine will remember a certain project that’s been in the works for quite some time. In fact, it’s been outlined since before I even posted the first fic on this blog. Temporarily and aptly named The Bodyguard Bakugo Fic (there is an official title, but I won’t announce it yet), this is a monster of a fic that’s actually a multi-chapter longfic. It’ll be around 30 chapters, with a premise that I may or may not be telling you before it begins posting.

I resolved to finish writing this fic before I began posting it, and that won’t change. I’m not going to start a massive fic and leave you lot hanging on chapter seven because I lost interest. However, if i focus on it over the next few months, I hope to finish by the end of the year; which would correspond with the first anniversary of this blog, and quite likely also correspond with me hitting 1k followers.

So, that’s the plan. 750 follower event, then Villainy, and finally (hopefully) The Bodyguard Bakugo Fic. Thank you all for following me! I’m glad you enjoy my writing <3

1. What song automatically plays in your head when you look out the window on a long drive? 

i dont really have an answer for this. i think i just automatically think about any song ive been listening to recently or any song that has been stuck in my head. 

2.  Do you have some snacks nearby when you write?

well i live in a two story house so the kitchen is downstairs and im usually lazy busy so since i have a mini fridge upstairs i just usually get water to drink while im writing. its kinda hard to eat and write cuz i loose focus really easily so when i am writing i am writing! i am in the zone! but if i am a little hungry ill usually snack on candy like chocolate kinder joys i love them but they r so expensive or snack on chips but i get like salt on my fingers or i like cheetos so cheetos dust and that just gets everywhere and later my hands and keyboard kinda smell like fart. 3. What do you do to combat creative burnout?

so burnout happens to me a lot so to get inspiration i either read other stories or fanfics which gets my head gears turning or i admire a piece of art or photography or a song. whats so unique and satisfying with writing you can explore and go anywhere with it, hehehe erotic if you know what i mean lol jk there are no barriers with writing just your imagination. there is inspiration any where you go and id advise to never stop writing. even if its a few short sentences or paragraphs about anything even bird poop its still progression and your mind is working and your searching for words like its all good for you bby.  4. Do you use (or like to use) prompts? 

i do ill put the link here. im thinking of changing it though to do something different. 

5. What is your favorite place to write?

lol boring, i know but my room. my room is really bright in the mornings and comfortable and chill and i have a candle of the pandora ride in disney that smells like the ride so its all good and relaxing and super peaceful plus i have a picture of myself the age of like 9 on my desk idk why but it encourages me and makes me focus to make sure i never get that cringy again. 

6. What is a hobby or yous that you usually don’t talk about?

well i like working out HAHAHAHAHA jk that was a joke...get it...cuz i much rather be eatingokillstop. but i really like to draw which i have a art page you can see it if you click here pls look at my failed attempts to be hip and cool with the cool kids and being artsy fartsy. another hobby is i really like to do makeup and nail art, nail art is really tough guys no joke if you do it like you got wizard powers are something. maybe its bc my nails are shorter than pete davidson and ariana grande’s relationship, alright im trying to stop i swear!

7. Do you play an instrument? Which one?

no i wish though. i always wanted to learn to either play the piano or electric guitar cuz H.E.R looks so cool doing it. 

8. How do you feel about your handwriting?

it sucks dont even try me. my sister can barely read it like no wonder nobody wants to steal my signature heck they can’t even read it!

9. Can you tell us of a story that marked your development as a person? As a writer?

ok sit back guys, sniff a nice amount of crack and get ready for the most cringy moment of my life but also a time when i knew i was meant to be *inhale* a fanfic writer. 

so it was elementary school, i think 3rd grade and for my writing assignment we were given a prompt of idk what the heck tbh i think it was like be outside the box and im like ok imma nail this cuz im a weird child and yeah so i got my papers and pencil and i went TO TOWN on this paper. so i wrote two stories. one short story with a picture to go with it and one long story that yeah i buried years ago. so my first story was about a farmer was about that farming life. he had chickens and dairy. so i cant remember if the cheese was spoiled but doesnt matter. anywho these cheese and a chicken were alive like they could talk in the story and i gave them faces, yikes. but the whole story was the farmer was a b*tch and he was trying to eat the chicken and cheese so they hatched a plan to get away from the farmer. they did it successfully and they ran away. yay happy ending my teacher actually liked that one me too and my school mates were thinking what they heck is this girl on i made a story about how me and justin bieber made cookies for Christmas you know. so then my other story i was more proud of this one cuz it was a tone of paper, sorry trees, and this story was about how a female hippo (girl i was all about plus size and thicker girls and no body shaming) and an male ostrich were kidnapped from their own habitats and taken to become circus animals. failed version of Madagascar hey mine was before the circus movie OK THEY STOLE IT FROM MEEEEE. so they get taken and are treated to harsh punishment and the animals can talk and i think its in the point of view of the male ostrich guy thing. they are in the circus and they start to have this relationship happening. love starts blossoming its all good. im happy with this cuz i believed in love at age of 8. they find a way thru a kick butt scene of the animals escaping and the hippo and ostrich are so in love that they run away together and they have half hippo half ostrich babies and i think i named the species  hipstrich or like ostppo idk but i was so proud of this story and when my teacher read it she was worried about me lol i think she thought i might like mate these two animals like secretly idk but she was like it was ok and i was like what this is frickin William Shakespeare writing or like F. Scott Fitzgerald writing. nevertheless it taught me a lesson that nobody else needs to like what im writing the main point and only thing that matters is if your proud of it and you like it and i really did. i will remember that story forever and thats what made me want to be a writer. lol sorry that was a lot.

1. What is your favorite book?

fifty shades of grey hahaha naw my favorite book is obv you all know this is series of unfortunate events but i never usually cry period and i never cry for books ever so when i read mrs. tom thumb by melanie benjamin, its the part when her sister minnie dies i cried so hard idk it was just emotional the wording the way she described her pain it was so beautiful written yet so sad and that was just amazing to me cuz im like this book made me feel things and im like wow i would love to write a book one day and make someone feel something whether it be sadness anger happiness annoyance anything they are having an emotion and that is super powerful to do that with just words. pls go check out that book its a good read. also im a fan of the greatest showman so i really enjoyed it. there are many other books tho that i thoroughly enjoy so much. 

2. What piece that you’ve written are you most proud of?

oh my god ive always wanted to be asked this question hands down i am always proud of my platonic gender neutral tony stark fic called in·con·sol·a·ble window to me i wrote it so sad and i was feeling like depressed lol when i saw peter die in infinity war like i didnt know what to do with my life tbh but im so glad that @impetrichorny requested it tysm i just like how its not based on romance or fluff or happiness it is based on when you lose someone the nightmares and sadness you go through and that there is nothing nobody can do about it except just be there for that person so i really like writing angst and something that was out of the box. ive been thinking tho of doing a part two since the fate of all the characters has changed after endgame. who knows tho. 

3. What is the last song that inspired you? 

well for art it would have to good news by mac miller when i did that kobe bryant memorial on my art page. i dont want to give it away though but ill just say some very powerful womens music inspired my oc writing and making. 

4. How do you feel about letting people read what you write?

at first i was scared cuz i thought i wrote like trash which that feeling kinda doesnt go away like some days i feel that way others i feel confident or it depends on the request it just depends but anyways i was always insecure about my writing so when i started writing it was more like lets see how this goes if not ill delete the whole page. im glad to say it went great but in the begging it was hard cuz i kept putting myself down but i learned to accept or just understand that you keep learning with writing you always learn knew things with writing how you can explain something better or you words get more intricate and people see the improvement and you do too thats why i applaud those who dont speak english that english isnt their first language. you are doing a tremendous job and keep practicing cuz you’re gonna make it to the top. ive also learned that some days are not my days and you can take time off when youre not feeling it when you have writers block. just recollect your juices sip some tea go to the beach relax your mind a little and take as long as you need to come back and give it your all. also comments and reblogs and likes a follows those meant so much to me and encouraged me. thats why i cant express it enough how much all those mean to writers, artist, photographers, anybody who is truly trying their hard in this area of social media. its makes a person happy smile and confident in their writing but first train your mind into loving what you make not what others thing. you have to be happy with the outcome that is what truly matters and what makes your writing the best. look at me getting philosophical. 

5. Do you get distracted easily? If yes with what?

yes and with porn haha i get distracted easily like very easily homeschooling was really tough for me. music distracts me, netflix, the urge to watch david dobrik or unus annus or buzzfeed unsolved on youtube, heck my farts distract me. i gotta be like troy bolton i gotta get my HEAD IN THE GAME!
