the music was blasting. the lights were so bright it felt like your head was gonna explode. you were already on your third drink and you could barely even stand up straight.
from across the room you could see your girlfriend. she was smiling and laughing with one of her friends. you started to make your way over to her but before you could some girl popped up in front of her. from afar you couldn’t tell what was being said but whatever it was it made emily smile.
you didn’t want to get jealous over something so small but you just couldn’t help it. as you watched for longer you could tell the girl was flirting with her. the way she kept hitting her on the arm and smiling at her anytime she would say something almost made you nauseous.
you couldn’t stand watching it anymore so you set down the drink in your hand and walked over towards them. you heard the girl giggling at something emily had said once you got closer. “hiii baby.” you said as you were now standing right next to emily.
she looked over at you and smiled but then went back to talking to the girl who was still standing there. you couldn’t even believe she just ignored you like that. you were literally standing right next to her and all she cares about is some random girl who’s been flirting with her for the past 20 minutes.
you moved closer to her, not caring that you had just cut off their conversation. “can we please go?” you whispered in her ear. she looked over at you “one second baby.” was all she said in response. you stood there, shocked that your girlfriend was really paying more attention to some stranger instead of you.
you didn’t wanna watch this happen anymore so you decided you were just going to leave without her. you walked away from the two of them and made your way to the door, leaving the club.
this caught emily’s attention and she was chasing after you right away. “hey! babe where are you going?” she yelled out at you. you guys were now standing outside of the club. music could still be heard from inside and you could feel the effect from your previous drinks catching up to you.
“going home. you won’t even talk to me.” you replied dryly, not even looking at her. as you started to walk away emily was right behind you. “hey hey! stop it!” she said as she stopped you by grabbing your hand.
“baby, look at me! i’m sorry i wasn’t trying to ignore you i promise.” you looked at her then down at her hand that was resting on yours. you were unconvinced, “why were you paying more attention to that random girl than me?” you asked her staring into her eyes.
she chuckled slightly at your question. “babe.. that was just an old friend we were catching up.” she said her eyes meeting yours once again. “it’s not funny. i didn’t like the way she was touching you and laughing at everything you said.” you said slightly turning away from her.
she grabbed your face and rested her hand on your cheek. “oh my god.. were you jealous?” she asked you with a huge grin on her face. you rolled your eyes at her words and looked down at the ground.
“oh come on you have nothing to be jealous about. i’m all yours.” she said grabbing your face again, making you look at her. you smiled at this and she smiled back. “want me to make it up to you?” she asked and you nodded. she was picking you up before you could even realizing what was happen and she carried you all the way back to your guys’ apartment.
when you made it there she carried you inside and set you down on the bed. she crawled on top of you and she placed a soft kiss to your lips. she moved her hands to your sides but then moved them to roam inside your shirt. “take this off.” she demanded as she started placing kisses to your neck.
before you knew it you were completely naked and so was she. she stared at you before kissing you again which caused you to let out a soft moan. “em.. need you so bad please.” you whispered into her ear. she started to leave kisses down your stomach and all over your things. you swore you could feel your pussy getting wetter the more she teased you.
“so wet for me baby.” she said as she swiped a finger over your folds. she started to rub her fingers over your clit moving them in a circular motion. you moaned even louder at the contact and this made her move faster. she placed two fingers inside of your hole and started to suck on your clit.
you were squirming from underneath her as she moved faster. she could tell you were getting close and this made her add another finger. “fuck! emily feels so fucking good!” you cried out as you could feel yourself reaching your climax.
“cum for me, pretty girl.” she whispered. you released all over her fingers and she licked up every last drop. she climbed up towards you and smiled before kissing you once more.
after she pulled away she moved so she was completely on top of you. she aligned her pussy with your own before pressing down to grind down on to you. you both let out moans at the feeling. emily started moving faster rubbing her clit against yours.
“oh my god! fuck- em… feels soo good! please faster!”
emily swayed her hips moving faster as she slid against you harder. you could feel yourself getting close again. “want you to cum for me again.” she said making eye contact with you as she led you to your climax. you could feel her release at the same time you did. “good girl.”
once you two had finished she laid down next to you and kissed you on your forehead. “that was fucking amazing, em. i love you.” you said as you looked into her eyes once more. she gave you another smile “i love you more, baby.” she said before getting off the bed and walking towards the bathroom.
“where are you going?” you yelled out to her as you were now left alone on the bed.
“gonna draw us a bath!” she yelled back and right after that you could hear the water running. you smiled to yourself before going to join her in the bathroom.

am I wrong for saying “shoutout to asexuals”?
ok so recently, whenever a conversation has died or whatever, I’ll just say “shoutout to asexuals” and then move on, because, idk, it’s a bit funnygoofy and also I like my asexual friends. Anyway, I said it in front of my mother and she said not to do it anymore, because it could be seen as “othering” people with asexuality. I don’t see it that way at all, but I wouldn’t like to be accidentally homophobic, so I’m using a poll to get real asexual opinions
for reference, I’m bisexual, and my mother knows that, so I am part of the LQBTQ+ community, but I’m (maybe) not asexual. I’ve been thinking about things around the aro/ace spectrum, based on past experiences, but I feel as though I’m not sure enough to give myself any proper labels. My mother doesn’t know about that part.
so, my mother’s arguments:
It may seem like I’m “othering” the asexual community by saying that
its like being the a white girl in a room with a few black people in it and saying “shoutout to black people” - it feels weird to her
im not saying it because I genuinely want to support asexuals, I’m saying it as more of a verbal tic
my 2 asexual friends agreeing is not a large enough group, even if they both are fine with it, others may not be
and my arguments are:
Im saying it to include asexuals, because they can sometimes feel disregarded in LGBTQ+ spaces
its pride month, literally the best time to give random unprovoked asexuality shoutouts
Idk, I feel like asexual people wouldn’t really be offended by that
both of my asexual friends think it’s hilarious and encourage me to keep going
it’s like a cis person saying “yay trans pride” at random moments and being told not to because it’s making trans people feel more separate
im not othering asexual people, I’m celebrating them
also pls reblog this around I want the largest possible data set so I know if I’m problematic or not

(21+ DNI) when satoru distracts you while you're on a call with your friends. (Based on one of my fav audios!)
“Am I being too loud? Too loud that you have to mute it? Oh, fuck. Oh, fuck,” Satoru whispered intensely.
Satoru chose this moment to fuck you while you were on a call with your friends. It was frustrating, especially since it was hard to push Satoru’s face away as he successfully took your shorts off and began leaving kisses on your inner thigh, dangerously close to your pussy.
“S-shut up,” you muttered, followed by a moan since Satoru had you lying on your stomach, his favorite position.
“Oh, fuck. Oh, but your face is so close to the phone. You're the one letting those whimpers out. Letting those cute... little fucking moans out,” Satoru told you, groaning as he gave you deep thrusts.
You covered your mouth, trying to muffle the noises you were making.
“Oh, fuck. I'm surprised no one has called you out on it yet. Asking if you're trying to say something. Maybe they think your mic keeps cutting out. And they don't know…” Satoru paused, leaning close to your ear.
“That your hand is on your mouth, trying to fucking stop any noise from coming out. Trying to stop any slutty moans from escaping. Yeah,” he whispered, noticing how your walls tightened around his cock.
“Oh, fuck. You don't want them to know, do you? You don't want them to know... that you're getting dicked out... while you're talking to them?” Satoru teased as you shook your head, still trying to stifle your moans.
“How would you be able to face them... if they knew what a slut you were... behind closed doors?” Satoru added.
“If they knew what kind of a fucking whore they were friends with? A whore that loves to be fucked out in public? To be degraded while on call with their friends?” Satoru continued to tease.
“Satoru, stop teasing,” you let out, unable to handle the pleasure any longer, and Satoru noticed.
“Oh, you're letting those fucking moans out now, huh? Now, with that fucking mic muted? Here, let me unmute it. Let's see how well you do now,” Satoru smirked, reaching for your phone and unmuting the call.
You quickly buried your face in the pillow, trying to suppress your moans.
“Yeah, that face in that pillow. Oh, fuck,” Satoru whispered. You could feel his chuckle as a slight breeze on your ear, giving you goosebumps.
“Ah, fuck yeah. Oh, put that phone a little bit farther away,” Satoru said, pushing the phone away.
“Oh, you're trying so hard. You're trying so hard not to make any noise. Yeah, just let them talk about whatever the shit they want to talk about. Yeah, just let them fucking talk,” Satoru continued. You wanted to shut him up, but his relentless thrusts were driving you crazy.
“Like you give a fuck when this dick is deep inside of you. Oh, I'm fucking pumping in and out of you. Yeah,” Satoru said, slowing down his pace before giving a hard, deep thrust.
“S-Satoru, ah-” you moaned his name.
“Oh, shit. Oh, I hear your name. Oh, you better see what they want. Talk to them while I fuck you from behind. Yeah,” Satoru encouraged you.
“Huh? Hello? Yeah, I’m-” you bit your lip to stop another moan as Satoru thrust harder, making you clench around him.
“I’m here, yeah- I was just doing something but I’m listening- fuck,” you accidentally let out, trying to glare at Satoru but only receiving a smirk in return.
“Are you okay? Did something happen?” one of your friends asked, catching your attention.
“N-nothing! But I’ll be on mute for now since Satoru’s whining for my attention,” you quickly said, not minding how some of your friends laughed at your explanation as you quickly hit the mute button.
Finally, you let out a moan, burying your face in the pillow again, but Satoru wasn't satisfied.
“Oh, fuck. Oh, nice, baby. Oh, yeah, I want to hear from you now,” Satoru spoke.
“Satoru… please- I can't,” you let out.
You were a mess under him, not caring about your appearance, only how close you were to the edge.
“Oh, I muted that fucking phone because I want to fucking hear you. Yeah, take your face out of that pillow. Let me fucking hear my slut,” Satoru commanded, his hand snaking toward your neck to make you look at him.
“Hear how you fucking sound when that cock is fucking that pussy. Yeah, going in and out. Yeah, you're like that. I want to fuck you like that. I'll hold you still on that,” Satoru added.
“Better fuck that pussy. Yeah. Yeah, take it. Take it from me. Yeah. Such a good girl. Such a good girl,” he praised, making you feel like you were in heaven.
“Ngh- ‘toru,” you moaned and whined.
“Here, let me see you on your back. Oh, fuck. Oh, fuck. Oh, yeah. Let me lift your shirt up. I'm going to feel those fucking tits while I put this phone on your stomach,” he said, gently turning you on your back and placing an extra pillow under your head so you didn't have to do anything.
“If I want, I can unmute at any time and let them hear us fuck whenever I want. Whenever I want, baby. Don't you love that?” Satoru teased.
You whined, “No… but-” it was hard to admit, but Satoru could read you like a book, making him chuckle.
“No, my baby doesn't want to get caught, but a little piece of her does. I know. Oh, oh, fuck,” he groaned, entering you again.
Before you knew it, you had abandoned the call with your friends, as Satoru wasn't finished fucking you.

Mistakes - CC
Tumblr media
Pairing: Caitlin Calrk x Reader
Summary: Caitlin was your world. When she decides you aren't hers she lets you go, leaving her with nothing but regrets and her facing the biggest mistake she has made on your biggest day.
Warnings: Angst - no happy ending
Word Count: 2.7k
Sweetbans Masterlist
AN: It has been a minute and I need pain.
THE BEGINNING.
Freshman year of college brought so much more than you could ever expect. The summer before your senior year of high school is when you committed to Iowa to play basketball. You weren't planning on heading East but after talking to Coach Bluder and Coach Jensen - it was a no-brainer. You were also excited to hear some of the other talent that was going into Iowa at the same time.
When you got to Iowa, it was everything you had wanted it to be. Iowa was beautiful. Getting to campus and getting to know the team had been great. Even your classes were going well. You were all around adjusting well to college.
It's during preseason training when you and Caitlin began to really connect. The two of you shared in being the only new freshman on the team. Your friendship really began to take off when you told her you weren't going home for Thanksgiving and she invited you home with her. It was the first time you met her family and they absolutely adored you.
Coming back from that break, you and Caitlin became inseparable. Anytime the two of you were on campus, you would be together. It got to the point where the team knew you were a two-for-one deal.
Your friendship off the court translated seamlessly on the court. The two of you had made some noise in the media as you shortly became a freshman powerhouse for Iowa consistently putting up a combined 40+ points per game. The chemistry you played with on the court was unmatched by anything that had been seen before so fast.
It is the end of your freshman year when your friendship with Caitlin begins to become more than a friendship.
The feelings that Caitlin begins to feel are all new to her. She hesitates when it comes to talking to you about it as the feelings she is feeling are for you. It is Kate Martin who actually encourages Caitlin to talk to you - this is after you had told Kate you were starting to feel something for your best friend too.
"Hey, can we talk?" Caitlin asks as she is helping you pack up to head home for the summer.
"Of course," you say as you are looking for any other items on your desk to stick in a box. Well less helping and more so keeping you company.
Caitlin is sitting on your bed, hands fidgeting. When she doesn't speak you stop what you're doing and look at her. She looks concerned.
"Caitlin, you're scaring me," you say with a little laugh as you come and stand at the end of your bed. Caitlin refuses to make eye contact with you.
You move to where she is, trying to get her to look at you. Your mind is racing at all the possibilities that could have Caitlin in such a distressed state.
"Is it your family?" You ask knowing how much they mean to her.
She shakes her head no, her eyes still locked on her hands as she rubs her fingertips.
"Cait, talk to me, please." You say as you are now standing right next to her. She only looks at you when you grab her hands to stop her fiddling. You have learned that her fiddling was one of her nervous ticks.
Before you have time to process, Caitlin's lips are on yours.
You had been imagining this for a little while now but never imagined it to actually come true. Your hands find their way to her hips as her hands find their way to your face. The kiss is hungry and filled with curiosity, longing, and need. Before things could go any further you slow the kiss down and begin to push Caitlin's hips away from yours.
You are standing in between Caitlin's legs and look down at the space you have created between the two of you. Both of you breathing heavily and processing what just happened.
"Why'd you do that?" You ask - your eyes now closed.
Caitlin's heart sinks when she hears your question. She is at a loss for words thinking she just messed up your whole friendship.
You bring your forehead up to hers, knowing how much she can get into her head - but now showing how much you get into her head.
"Why'd you do that, huh? Something I have been thinking about for weeks now," you say with a sigh. "Something I am going to want to do every day both of us are here on this earth. Something that only makes me want you even more." You say separating yourself from her - looking in her eyes for the first time.
Caitlin blushes, breaking the eye contact almost as fast as you initialed.
Your hand comes up to cup her cheek, bring her gaze back up to yours.
"I like you," Caitlin says. You expect her to continue but she does not.
You laugh.
"That's it? That's all you have to say?" You ask. She shrugs shyly.
"Well, if it is not obvious, I like you too." You say and the blush in Caitlin's cheeks deepens.
The timing of it wasn't the best as you were heading back home for the summer and Caitlin was doing the same. The two of you talked and Facetimed every day of that summer. Before heading into the next school year - Caitlin asked to keep your relationship quiet and between the two of you. Your love for the girl overpowering your desire to love her openly and you respected her decision. You know it is for the best but still wish you could show her off as yours and not just your best friend.
There are a few people who know - Kate being one of them. But aside from her and one other teammate, your relationship stays hidden.
Even though it remained within the confines of you and Caitlin - it never stopped growing. It was soon something that became hard to hide as others started noticing your dynamics.
Whenever it was just the two of you, nothing in the world mattered. The two of you spent most of your time in your apartment where Caitlin would never leave your side. She would always need to have part of her body touching yours. That could be holding hands or touching thighs, she just liked being near you. Whenever she would spend the night, she would curl up at your side and spend the whole night in your arms.
The two of you would talk about everything and nothing and all that is in between. You would spend as much time as you could listening to her talk about the things that she loves. Granted most of it was basketball-related and the two of you would talk endlessly on the subject but she would also talk about her family and how she grew up. She captured your attention so easily and vice versa.
There was a deeper understanding between the two of you than either of you could have imagined. The two of you understood each other without words - that made the two of you unstoppable on the court but even more than that it was a testament of your love.
You wholeheartedly believed that Caitlin would be it for you.
THE MIDDLE.
It was nearing the end of your senior year at Iowa and what would be the close to your basketball playing days. It was something you were content with and actually had a job lined up to be one of the assistant coaches for UCLA's women's basketball program.
Caitlin declared for the draft and was set to be the first overall pick. You couldn't be more proud of your girl. It was pretty much set that she would be going to Indiana, which meant that you two would be doing long-distance. The two of you talked and it seemed like everything was going to work out.
Everything shifted when Iowa lost to South Carolina in the final. It was a tough loss that you thought you could have won. They just outplayed you and came out on top which was a bummer but you couldn't be too mad about it.
After the final, the team decided to head their separate ways for the night. You made your way to Caitlin's hotel room.
She hadn't said much since leaving the arena. When the two of you get back you collapse on the bed you let out a deep sigh. It is only after a few moments of you laying there and not feeling her weight hit the bed beside you that you turn your head to look for her.
Caitlin is standing, eyes heavy from the loss, looking down at you.
"Lay down love, I know you're exhausted," you say and pat the spot next to you.
When she doesn't move, you reach to grab her hand but she moves it away. You give her a questioning look.
"I can't do this," she says, fingers beginning to fiddle.
Your heart rate skyrockets.
"Caitlin, what are you talking about?" You ask, trying to keep your voice steady.
She refuses to make eye contact with you as she finds the right words to say. This has been a thought on her mind for the past few weeks and has been an internal battle.
"I can't do us anymore," she says just above a whisper.
You feel like you had just been hit by a car and that is after feeling like you got hit by a bus from the game.
You immediately stand and try to bring her eyes to yours. Everything was going great between the two of you - you both had already talked about how it would work doing long-distance and even had trips planned to see one another.
"I don't understand," you say, hands coming up to hold your head. The room is spinning and you feel like you want to cry, laugh, pass out, and throw up all at the same time.
You two had been together for the past 3 years, weathering countless storms together and growing with one another. The one thing that stayed the same in all of that was keeping your relationship between a select group of people and never known to the public.
"Caitlin," you say, and your voice cracks.
"Please don't say my name," she says and her eyes close.
You are stunned.
"So that's it? We're done?" You ask in disbelief. Cait is preparing for you to blow up, to yell at her and question her but none of that comes.
You, on the other hand, are waiting for an explanation that never comes.
Her eyes stay closed and you stand there for what feels like ages waiting for any sort of explanation. When you realize there isn't one coming, you fall in defeat.
You reach around your neck and remove the necklace that she got you for your two-year anniversary and place it on the dresser.
"I have done nothing but love you," you say. It was directed to her but you were saying it more to yourself.
When you walk out the door, you both allow yourselves to feel. Caitlin finally opens her eyes and you let your tears fall.
There was absolutely no closure. No understanding of what had happened to get to this point. You have every desire to barge back into the room and fight for her but what was the point in fighting when she couldn't even give you a solid answer.
Never in a million years would you imagine a life without her.
THE END. 3 YEARS LATER.
Never in a million years would Caitlin imagine being here. Maybe she did, just not in these circumstances. She sat next to her brother and his wife waiting for the ceremony to start. Some of her old college teammates were in the row in front of her.
Her hands have not stopped fidgeting since she arrived and can't see them stopping anytime soon.
Everyone is asked to take their seats as your mom is escorted down and takes her seat.
One by one - bridesmaids make their way down the aisle. Caitlin smiles when she sees Kate walk down. People then begin to stand and turn to watch.
Your fiance is the first to walk down the aisle. She is escorted by her father and is beaming. Caitlin hears groups of ooo's and ahh's as she makes her way to the front and turns and waits for you.
You are the last to make your way down the aisle.
Caitlin gets a glimpse of you and her breath is taken away. You are stunning. Your smile is bright enough to light the entire city. She watches as you make your way towards your future.
She sits when everyone else does - eyes still glued to you.
Caitlin feels the air leaving her lungs as the ceremony commences. There was once a day when she saw this with you when the two of you talked about what your wedding day would look like and how you would want everything laid out. She looks around and sees you in all the little details.
After the ceremony, everyone heads to the reception. Caitlin not knowing how long she plans on staying considering how much of a toll this is taking on her.
It is good to see old teammates and catch up on life. She spends a lot of time talking with Kate until she is pulled away. Colin and his wife are on the dance floor which is not inviting to Caitlin at all.
It is soon after everyone starts dancing that Caitlin makes her way outside. The cool air of the night numbed her face. Her mind can't help but wander back to when the two of you were together and how everything made sense. Caitlin was blind to how much she needed you when she had you and was led by fear. Fear of what the world would say if they ever found out she loved girls. And instead of talking through it with anyone close to her - she ran. Ran from the one person she has ever truly loved.
She doesn't feel the first tear fall from her face nor does she feel the next one. She lets out a shakey breath.
"I'm glad you came," your voice brings her back to reality. Your eyes meet hers for the first time in years. "I didn't know if you would come or if I actually wanted you here."
Caitlin just takes the sight of you in. The last memory she had with you was when she called it quits and you walked out. She has replayed that night in her probably a million times and if she had asked you, you would have said the same.
"I have imagined this day countless times in my head - and for a long while, I thought you would play a very different role than the one you are in. It's funny how life changes."
"I was mad at you for the greater part of 2 years until Soph pulled me out of it. Never actually getting an answer on why that night ended the way it did. She has had to do a lot of damage control thanks to you," you say with a little laugh.
Caitlin looks away from you as her tears continue to fall.
Your hand comes up to her elbow.
"Caitlin, you know I will always care for you. Thank you for being here, it really does mean a lot," you say and bring one of your hands to wipe away her falling tears. "Even though in the end it wasn't us, your friendship was vital during that time in my life."
Your name is called by someone inside. You give her arm one last squeeze and make your way inside.
Caitlin looks back out into the darkness, even more broken than she was on the night she let you go. Letting you go was the single biggest mistake of her life. One that she has regretted ever since. One that she hoped to one day rectify.
A mistake that she can no longer take back and is one she will have to live with for the rest of her life.
AN: Just a little for you, let me know what you think. And as always, thank your for your love and support 🤍

Not that he…watches those. No, no. He’s simply seen more than his fair share of depravity. Some of it at his expense, some at others, and more than a chunk of it dealt by his own two hands. He knows how the world works. How people work. He knows his shit, plain and simple.
So when his schedule allows, he logs on after midnight. His username and password are two alphanumeric strings, but people recognize the cluster of digits and letters. Wait for his comments. Follow his account. Send him stupid digital gifts, some useless currency to dress up his default icon. The amount increases daily, as does his following. His own little cult.
He doesn’t care about the numbers. Not really. He just loves dishing out his honest opinion, and nobody’s safe.
AN [Advice Needed] Family forgot to invite me on a trip, expect me to go last minute Hi, it’s like the title says. I (25 M) live across the country from my parents, siblings (all all adults), nieces, and nephews. I am the only one who lives on this coast, but I try to visit twice a year. I recently reached out to my brother to see when he thinks I should come visit in June and suggested some dates. I know it’s only February, but I want to save money on airfare. He responded: “Isn’t that when we’re going to Hawaii???” It was the first I heard of it. It turns out my parents invited my siblings to Hawaii and planned a family vacation without me. I confronted my parents about it, they swore they invited me too then said I could send them my share of the bill for the resort and book a flight. Like it’s no big deal. I can’t afford to go and I don’t want to go, but I feel really pressured. And sad! They forgot me! Who am I, Kevin McAllister?
> 35J0G39GH6: Find out the resort name. Cancel the reservations. Cease contact.
Within seconds, a dozen upvotes. A minute later, a hundred. Up, up, up. And the replies? Oh, the replies. He smirks at the cracked phone screen.
>> michaelEthelcaine: Fucking brutal as always >> c0y0t3fug1y: LMAO it’s this simple OP - this dude is never wrong >> patcemetery79: I DID THIS BACK IN 2003 FOR A FAMILY REUNION. A REAL RIOT! HAVEN’T BEEN INVITED TO ONE SINCE@ HILARIOUS!!!!!! I LOVE YOU 35J
Simon receives a fair share of downvotes, too. Negative comments. He doesn’t give a shit, but some of them are fucking hilarious.
>> grasshopperwhirlpool: Not funny. Be better than this asshole, OP. I’m sure it was a simple mistake. >> thewildrumpussy: really mature advice. who shit in your coffee?
Every few weeks, a morally righteous do-gooder encourages people to mass-report him, and he gets a slap on the wrist. The idiots come out in droves after some of his more choice replies, like worms after a heavy rain. The most recent offense?
AN [Advice Needed] My husband (35 M) forgot my (33 F) birthday My husband of three years forgot my birthday. No flowers, cake, or gifts. When I came home from work he asked about dinner. I lost it, turned around, and left. I’m at my sister’s house now (and she started baking when I called and told her what happened!) but he won’t stop blowing up my phone. He says it’s because he’s been so busy but here’s the thing: he forgot last year too. I really love him but I’m tired of this treatment.
> 35J0G39GH6: Have your friend take you home between 3-4 AM. Cut his brake lines. Go back to her place. Wait for the inevitable.
>> 6polyesterbutthole9: i dont care if this is illegal its funny af >> passtheaggression: Hand to god, you need your own forum dude.  >> gordonramsme55: Where are the mods on this??? This shit is going to get someone killed. Report this psycho. >>> puffalo: Agreed I think this breaks Rules 3 & 5, reporting now >> austrianPrincess: not saying i did this but when my boyfriend’s brakes failed, i got a big check, OP!  >>> gordonramsme55: This is what I’m talking about!  >>> 6polyesterbutthole9: get that check >> tech60nyneme: WOW someone check this guy’s crawlspace. reported and blocked
That one earns him the most severe ‘punishment’ yet: A month-long commenting ban. No skin off his nose, he's deployed days later, anyway. If anything, the radio silence winds his followers up, their excitement a palpable thing when he gets out of forum jail. He rewards them with another series of blunt, to-the-point pieces of advice.
His absence makes one particular fan particularly hungry, and a little desperate.
He’s no stranger to unsolicited dick and cleavage pics from his followers. They flood his inbox, giving him a side hobby of delivering pithy degradation the sick fucks seem to love. Saves the best for his private collection.
But then he gets a picture from some cute thing with a comment about him being her favorite person on the Internet. Knelt all sweet in front of her mirror, haloed by a ring light, white lace barely hiding the goods. His eyes snap to her tits—where his ridiculous username is scrawled in sharpie. There’s nothing to critique except maybe the laundry in the background of the shot. Tugs his cock to it, then clicks her username to check her comment history, and wouldn’t you know. Her location is public on her profile. She’s a couple hours away from her idol and doesn’t even know it.
>> 35J0G39GH6: Perfection. >> YN10282022: Oh my god, I didn’t think you’d reply. >> YN10282022: You know, a few months ago, you gave me good advice about my creepy boss. >> YN10282022: I posted about the stuff he’d say to me. >> YN10282022: It took some time, but I was able to record him. Sent it over to his wife on their anniversary. When he accused me, I told him HR was getting the next copy. >> YN10282022: I got a promotion and a raise, and sent the file anyway. >> 35J0G39GH6: Good girl. >> 35J0G39GH6: I’ll be in your neck of the woods in a week for work. >> YN10282022: Really?? I’d love to meet up! >> 35J0G39GH6: Probably shouldn’t. I’d advise you against meeting me. >> YN10282022: They do say you should never meet your heroes. :) >> 35J0G39GH6: Shouldn’t meet strangers off the Internet, either.
She still sends him the address of a cafe. It matches one he finds on her social media an hour later. She seems to be a frequent customer. Simon grins at his screen, the sole light source in his dark room. He taps back to her pretty picture.
She looks like an angel.

wedding hc series
really cozy, warm wedding somewhere on countryside with whole Big Deal, parents and all all friends included! in that day he didn’t care if his whole face will be covered in your lipstick, or if foundation gonna leave some stains on his suit. he didn’t even care about Big Deal little sneaky fights, all Gimyong cared is just two of you - all that gangster stuff he landed on Jerry, while Lua took care about organization during your wedding ceremony. it took maybe few hours to go to nice countryside hidden somewhere in the woods, far from city, dust, loud and problems, but only after all of you took photos around the Seoul, in most beautiful places. in a big house near the lake, everything was prepared for your ceremony and celebration after. and to say honestly, Gimyong cried when he saw you in your wedding dress walking down the aisle (i kinn two dresses for wedding sorry!) . his best men - Jerry, Sinu and Samuel (surprisingly how he didn’t reject invitation) patted softly his shoulder, giving him encouraging words! and after the most touching ceremony, after the strongest oaths of loyalty and the sweetest, long-awaited kiss of the newlyweds, when all guests cried, the celebration began! all kinds of food, sweets, snacks, cocktails, alcohol, everything was in abundance, you and Gimyong should say thank you later to uncle Jinyoung(old man was just happy to be invited lol). oh and about your ring! why would your husband choose ring with one stone when he can buy many?! but for sure Minson gave him stones from her ring, or maybe the ones that Gapryong once gifted to her in past, but she never used them.

Analyzing König's presonality
Original post made in TikTok by shikided, published here with their permission.
Tumblr media
Let’s start with the fact that König is not shy or self-conscious.
Social anxiety in his case is expressed rather by aggression towards others. Aggression is his defense mechanism (it is different for all people, for some may be a smile, for example).
He can treat people coldly, as well as rudely, out of a subconscious fear of getting into an awkward situation, of being in a vulnerable position. Of course, he is unlikely to like being in a crowd, but this does not mean that he will start to panic and blush, after all, he is a disciplined soldier.
However, König is active and restless, as evidenced by the fact that he was not accepted as a sniper not only because of his height, but also because of his inability to stay in place for a long time. (This is suits his stormy temper)
His expressiveness is especially noticeable in the way he speaks, and Jim Boeven conveys this perfectly. Just compare the original voice acting by Konig and, for example, the Russian one. In Russian, his voice is much calmer and more direct, more balanced, which is out of character.
König is impudent, proud, sharp-tongued. “Pick your guts off the floor” or “and they said that I couldn’t be a sniper” – he’s literally spitting bile, and this still hurts him, as a consequence of the fact that he’s trying to look like a sniper, making himself a mask with his own hands. This desire meant a lot to him, and this is to some extent his personal protest. König did not fully accept the refusal, did not resign himself.
König is brave, even somewhat passionate, not afraid to rush straight into the heat: “get me back into the fight”, “I’m ready for another round”, “don’t worry, leave the heavy lifting to me”.
However, he understands the advantage his height and build give him and uses it. Moreover, he knows how good he is on the battlefield, and does not hesitate to say about it: “finally, some worthy adversaries”, “they are no match for me”. These phrases reveal a need for personal self-affirmation due to his childhood bullying and humiliation. König compensates for the lack of recognition with arrogance and pride, as even his name (King in German) suggests.
This, like his defense mechanism, can cause a disdainful attitude towards other soldiers: “who taught you to shoot?”, “not bad, I’ve seen better”, “let’s be honest, it’s better off in my hands”, “hands off, it’s mine”, curses are also present.
Some fans for some reason see him as a big child, few others as a brutal killer.
König is a fighting unit, a man trained to kill, that’s true, but that doesn’t mean he’ll kill you for some little thing. He can, of course, but he won’t. König is a hostage rescue specialist, His task is not only to eliminate, but also to save.
Pay attention to his pose in the menu. König does not look shy and cute. On the contrary, his movements are calm, even relaxed, he demonstrates confidence and strength. He raises his hand and points at the player, as if to say “Pikachu, I choose you”, or “we’re gonna make this day”
His phrases sound friendly towards us, like “together we should be victorious”, or “you can be in my team any day” and even “with you until the end”
He seems to be encouraging his comrade, with whom he is now leading a mission. König is closed and cold, but loyal and kind towards his people. Due to his character, I doubt that he has many people whom he truly values, such a person will be very attentive and selective towards those who surround him, therefore he seems to me be a loyal and reliable friend to those whom he truly considers them his loved ones.
Summary: König is an interesting character with a psychological point of view, with his own bee in his bonnet.
Closed, arrogant, cocky, loyal, devoted.

Painted Smile
Painted Smile XXVII
<- Previous Chapter I
Summary: You couldn't wait to meet new friends. What you didn't expect was this smiling little boy, only one year older than you, that would take such a big place in your life.
Notes: I won't lie, I'm proud of this chapter, it's better than the last one which I'm not completly satisfied with. I hope you will enjoy this chapter.
You gasped as your soul came back inside your body. You couldn’t help but feel fear sipping through your body, making you stand up quickly. You felt like something was coming toward you, at a racing speed.
You looked at your shadow which was frowning, staring at the entrance, her form being bigger and bigger, her growing presence overwhelming all the room. Your breathing was getting quicker and quicker, what was going on?
You tried to talk with Legba but you were too panicked to be able to summon a tangible link. You rushed into the kitchen as you felt another presence watching you. You took a knife and waited with your shadow at your side. It was snarling and growling, staying protectively near you.
You flinched when your shadow rushed toward something, making you freeze. You waited, your grip on the blade showing no sign of weakness. You waited before seeing your shadow coming back with its usual hideous smile. You tilted your eyes, you couldn’t feel the presence… What you could feel was…
“ Alastor?”
You went into the living room where Alastor’s shadow was looking around, everywhere. It stopped when it saw you and rushed toward you, caging you in its embrace with his horrific smile. You patted its head with a relieved smile.
“ Good boy…” You watched as it beamed before it latched toward your own shadow and both of them began their usual banter. You sat on the sofa, calming your nerves. If Alastor’s shadow was here, it certainly meant he felt something like you did. But it also meant Alice and Alyzée were alone without protection…
You called the two shadows to you which both went toward you, waiting for your commands. You tilted your head, crossing your arms against your chest, your finger tapping against your arms.
“ I don’t think I can manage to send my own shadow so far away from me, so you need to go back to Alice and Alyzée.” you said, sighing when you saw Alastor’s shadow fuzzing with anger, his smile dropping into a snarl. It moved toward you and wrapped its hand around your ankle, smiling once more. You pouted, it seemed like Alastor had decided that his priority would be you.
You looked at your shadow which was tugging Alastor’s shadow’s hair. Maybe you could try to send your own shadow..
“ Do you think you can protect our friends ?” you asked, ignoring Alastor’s shadow frown. Your shadow smiled hideously at you, nodding eagerly. You sended her to your friend and as soon as your shadow was out of your property, you fell on the sofa, your eyes closed.
You couldn’t move. It was a strange feeling, it was like you were watching from someone else's eyes. Your own body couldn’t move, you needed to be so concentrated to keep your shadow moving to Alice’s position.  How could Alastor manage to do his daily life when his shadow was always attached to Alyzée or you?
You felt the Alastor’s shadow squeezed your ankle, like an encouraging gesture. If you could have, you would have smiled at it. It was oddly cute, it seemed like a more twisted version of Alastor when he was younger.
You looked through your shadow’s eyes which were already at Alice’s side. Your friends were talking with a woman about God. You tried to see if the man who watched you  was around but it seemed like he was gone. Well, you panicked for nothing…
You looked at the lady, she was kind of cute, holding a Bible against her chest, explaining something to your friends. It’s when you saw Alice and Alyzée’s uncomfortable face that you decided to listen to what the lady was saying.
“ We must fight those people who go against God’s will. Some women fancies other women, how disgusting.”
Ah.
Well, that wasn’t a pleasant conversation at all.  You looked around, maybe you could make something happen so the unpleasant lady would back off from your friends. You looked through your shadow eyes, looking around.
You didn’t want Alice to support the lady’s yapping more than she already indulged. You saw a group of men, chatting on the other side of the road, one holding a dog by his leash, but the dog was staring in your direction. The dog was wagging his tail lazily, seeming to look in your directions.
Could animals see the spirits ?
You asked your shadow to move toward the dog, wanting to test your theory and you smiled when the dog barked at your shadow, his tail wagging energetically. That was interesting information… You looked toward Alice and Alyzée, going back toward them as the two women were looking at the dog who was making noises.
You giggled but then froze when you saw the lady looking at you, seeming paler than she was a minute ago. She jerked her head toward the dog, before trying to come back to her discussion with your friends. Did… Did she see your shadow ? You needed to find out if she could see you, then you would know how to act.
You forced your shadow to approach the lady who clenched her Bible harder against her chest. You could feel your shadow smiling down on the poor woman, in its usual horrific way. You smirked when you saw the woman looking at your shadow.
You got her, now what should you do? Follow her or stay with your friends in case something happens?
You turned around when you heard a panting noise coming from behind you. You turned around and saw Victor, catching his breath as he looked at Alice and Alyzée with a tired smile.
“ Hha… Alastor… told me to fetch you.” Victor said to your friend with a friendly smile.
Once again, your husband was just… perfect with his timing.
The lady ran away from your friends who seemed shocked. You demanded your shadow to follow the woman which it gladly did. As your shadow was following the woman, you felt your own body getting tired. How exhausting that exercise was! How could Alastor manage it? The woman ran for ten minutes before going inside a building. You watched as your shadow followed her, seeming to have much fun.
The shadow entered the building, which seemed to be abandoned. It looked around, once again, its childish curiosity making it hard not to find it cute. It looked at a dirtied doll before going after the woman. You didn’t know where she went but it shouldn’t be hard to find her.
You could only hear noise and see when you were inside your shadow, so you were a little confused when it moved toward a room with excitement. You looked inside and saw a.. was that a lamb? Your shadow moved toward it, touching the dead animal with morbid fascination. What was a lamb doing here..?  The room was dark, you couldn’t see anything but the lamb in the middle of the room. There was so much blood…
“ We got you.”
Your shadow turned around, snarling as a man was standing in front of the entrance of the room.
Fuck.
You commanded your shadow to attack the man. You didn’t want to lose this time,  and furthermore, this man gave you the same vibes as the stalker who attacked you last time. You needed to see his face.
The man avoided your shadow attacks with strange precision. You let your shadow play with him, letting him get away before trying to reach for him once more, keeping an evil smile on its face. You were trying to see the man's face, but because of the cloat he was wearing it was even more difficult with the darkness in this room.
Wait… Didn’t he say.. We got you..?
You felt your shadow snarl in pain when you heard a feminine voice chanting something. You squint your eyes, trying to see where the voice was coming from. You watched as your shadow tried to run away but it seemed like it was caged between an invisible shield. You looked around and saw with incomprehension something on the floor, around your shadow making it impossible for it to run away. Was that..Salt?
You looked up when the man lit a candle making you capable of seeing around you. The walls around you were gray but you could see blood dripping on it. You frowned as your shadow tried to make itself bigger, snarling at the man in front of it, banging against the shield.
“ Oh lord, you were right…”
The voice came behind the man and then you saw the woman you were after. Her Bible was opened and she was looking at your shadow with disgust and fear. You could feel anger swirling inside your belly, how dared she look at you that way?
“ Yes, I saw her thanks to the Lord. We need to get rid of it.”
What was going on…? You looked as the woman began to read her bible, chanting something you couldn’t understand. You looked as your shadow began to snarl in pain, its body bending in awkward shape, its hand trying to keep the noise from coming inside its ears.
You felt helpless, you couldn’t do anything but watch as your shadow seemed to be burned alive. You didn’t know why, but you felt foreign energy going inside of you, you knew you were upset and yet you didn’t feel any emotion. The man watched as your shadow was hissing in pain with a satisfied smile.
You stared at the salt keeping your shadow caged. You could.. make it go away. It seemed like your shadow was the only thing being affected by the chanting. You closed your eyes, trying so hard to raise your hand. You could feel your own body in your house, moving like you were doing right here. Come on… Just a little push…
You wanted to use your telekinesis on the book or the salt, to break the barrier. You inhaled before energy busted out of you, making the woman fall backward and send the salt away, breaking the shield. You shouted in your mind at your shadow to run, to go back home at your side right now.
The man tried to keep your shadow but it snarled with pure fury, clawing at the man’s face before rushing out of the building, running back home.
You opened your eyes with difficulty, you needed to see your shadow. Was it okay..? You sat up slowly, Alastor’s shadow trying to help you with a worried frown. You looked around you and frowned when you saw furniture on the ground. Did you use your power near your shadow but also here…? You patted the shadow’s head before jerking your head to the door, seeing your shadow coming home, cuddling its arms against itself.
Alastor’s shadow rushed toward yours, looking at what was wrong with your shadow. You walked toward them, crouching in front of them. Your shadow looked like half of its face had been taken off. You grimaced as your shadow kept a frown on its face, even with Alastor’s shadow trying to cheer it up.
“ Let me heal you…”
You yelped when both of the shadows snarled at you with anger. You blinked at their reaction.
“ What? You don’t want me to heal you?”
“ And they are right, my love.”
You turned your face toward the door and smiled at Alastor who was clearly irritated. He walked toward your shadow and looked at its injury. You didn’t need him to talk to know he wanted to know what was going on. You told him everything that happened, watching as his body tensed as you explained what happened in the abandoned building.
“ Mhn..We need answers. Kalfu, come here.”
“ Papa Legba, would you please join us?”
You watched as the two spirits were leaning comfortably against the wall. Kalfu was smirking, it seemed like he was enjoying himself. Legba was looking at you with his usual warm expression. You stood up with Alastor and everyone went into the kitchen.
“ I have questions. Would you betray us?” Alastor asked, drinking the coffee you made him.
“ Alastor!”
“ No offense taken, little lady.” Papa Legba said with a genuine smile. “ What is a betrayal for you? If you are asking if I will give others an access to the spiritual realm, as long as they give me a sacrifice, I will.” You looked as Alastor’s smile twitched.
You frowned at his answer.
“ Then, if I fight against someone who works with you… How are we going to deal with it? Would you tell our secret to them?”
“ Why would I do that? I will give access to a spirit they want to work with, nothing more.” Legba tilted his head, watching you calmly. “ If you were to fight with someone I helped, I won’t intervene, it is only your control over your powers that will help you.”
“ But I know my wife is your protégée, right?” Alastor asked with his usual smile. You watched as Legba looked at Alastor, staying silent for a moment. What was a protégée exactly..? You asked your husband who explained it to you. “ A protégée my dear, is when a Spirit is fond of a human who tries to reach for them. Like a mentor student relationship. The spirit decided to be more present, without needing to ask for a sacrifice each time they are called depending on the situation.”
You beamed at Papa Legba who was looking at you with a raised eyebrow.
“ Am I your protégée ?” you asked with a big smile. You didn’t know why but you saw Legba as your grandpa and knowing he was watching over you was comforting. The spirit smiled, sighing before patting your head.
“ I guess you are.”
You smiled at Alastor who smirked at you. You looked at Kalfu who was looking in your direction when he felt your gaze on him. He smirked at you still trying after all those years to make you scared. You weren’t afraid of Kalfu anymore but you knew he could be so scary sometimes, so you didn’t want to push your luck.
“ Is Kalfu’s protégée Alastor?” you asked curiously. You flinched when Kalfu roared with a mocking laughter.
“ Ooh, yes he is. But unlike your sweet relationship with Legba, I won’t run to save Alastor’s life. He can save his own, if not, why would I be there? I can help him in other ways, but don’t call me for sweet things like saving his life. Isn't that why you are here, little missy?”
You looked at Alastor who nodded, smirking mockingly at Kalfu. You rolled your eyes, smiling a little. They must  talk about your healing abilities…Talking about healing… You turned your head toward the two shadows and felt sad.
Your shadow was still unmoving even with Alastor’s shadow moving around it, tugging its hair and waiting to see if it would react. It seemed to be more worried each time your shadow wasn’t giving it a proper reaction.
“ How could my shadow be hurted like this?”
You looked at the three men in front of you. Now, you needed to understand what happened in that building. Legba crossed his arms after smoking, his pipe fuming in a smoothing way.
“ Well, you saw it yourself , didn’t you?”
“ What do you mean?” you asked, making a cold chocolate for you.
“It was an offering, aren’t you not used to seeing them now?” Alastor asked, stroking your cheeks. “ From what you told me, the lamb was an offering.” He looked at Legba who nodded. “ Was it for you?”
“I’m more of a rooster man. This offering wasn’t for me.”
You frowned, looking at Kalfu who smirked at you before shaking his head. It wasn’t for him either.
“ Well, they did have a Bible with them, so I’m not surprised either…” you mumbled, drinking your cold chocolate.
“ We can work with christianity.” Legba said with a small smile. You tilted your head, curiously but he didn’t say anything more.  You looked as your husband took your hand, stroking your skin, deep in thoughts. You looked at Legba with a sad smile.
“ Can .. Can you heal my shadow..?”
Legba turned his gaze toward your shadow, still being taken care of by Alastor’s shadow. He stood up and walked toward them, smiling as Alastor’s shadow kept yours against its. Legba touched your shadow, a red energy coming off him. You closed your eyes as the light was getting too strong for you to be able to see what was going on.
After a minute, you blinked your eyes and you smiled as your shadow was moving everywhere, clearing happy to be painless once more. Alastor’s shadow was staring at it before tugging its hair once more and smiled when it saw your shadow running after him in the house. You sighed, relieved.
You thanked Legba who asked for a rooster in exchange, which you accepted.
“ Then, is it possible for them to work with angels?”
All heads turned toward Alastor. Angels…? You never thought they existed but now, it could be a possibility… Could you compare Papa Legba to an angel? You didn't know how to compare their power… Well, Legba told you the power was held in the person who asked a spirit, so maybe… With a good plan you could take someone who was working with an angel..? How complicated.
“ It is highly possible, even more so if they had a Bible with them.”
“ Mhn, It’s not my favorite hypothesis.” Laughed Kalfu with a smirk, looking at you with a knowing smile. Alastor stared at his spirit, his smile never faltering. “ Now, I have other things to do, if you excuse me.”
You looked as Kalfu vanished from his chair in a dark mist. You looked at Legba who smiled at you, asking you not to forget his rooster before walking away, vanishing behind a wall. You waited a few seconds before looking at Alastor who was sighing, his eyes closed.
You walked toward him and kissed his cheek which made him look at you.
“ Ahh, darling, do you want me to die younger because of stress?” He said as he tugged you on his laps, his arms around your waist. You tilted your head as he kept talking. “ I sended Victor to take care of the girl so you would go back home, and yet… You went into the big bad wolf’s mouth, not even planning something. I taught you better than that, right?” He purred, his lips against your cheek.
You smiled at him, wrapping your arms around his shoulder.
“ I’m sorry. I was… too excited I think.”
Alastor hummed against your skin as he watched both of your shadows playing with each other. You smiled fondly at the view.
“ Don’t you think they acted like us when we were younger?” you giggled as Alastor’s shadow poked yours on its cheek, making it snarl at it.
“ I think the same… But they are deadlier.” Alastor gave you a sinister smile which made you shiver. You kissed his lips, humming as he kissed you back. You pushed your body against his, singing in bliss when you felt his nails digging into your skin. You whispered against his lips.
“ You don’t feel sick anymore..?”
“ I was not sick dear, I was just… tired.” he kissed you back before you could answer back, making you chuckle against his lips. You knew that Alastor and you would find those who dared disturbed the peace you created for yourself.
It’s been so long since you felt another predator was in New Orleans. But you would win, like always.
—-
You were with Alice, at her home.
It’s been two months since you discovered your new ‘enemies’. You didn’t expect it to put so much mental charge in your mind. You could feel their eyes on you on the street and yet you couldn’t find them. Fortunately, they didn’t show up and didn’t attack you, or Alastor or anyone else. Alastor and you went into the abandoned building, multiple times to search through every floor and you didn't find anything. It felt like they cleaned everything before vanishing.
You’ve been making yourself sick over this. It felt like the danger could happen any time. You were sleeping less, you had nausea and you were getting emotional with the lack of sleep. Sometimes you could cry because Alastor came later than usual and you thought he had been killed by the couple you couldn’t find in this bloody town.
Alastor, seeing your state getting worse, demanded you to stop caring about this and that he would handle it himself, but you shouted at him that you would never let him go alone against two persons that had power which you didn’t know anything about.
You knew Alastor was getting more worried about you, you could see it in his eyes even when he was smiling like usual. Sometimes it was scaring yourself how you would lose yourself to your nerves. This was the most difficult thing you've ever done.
Killing Alastor’s father  was your first, but it was easy, it happened one night and it was gone, just like all your victims. You would track them down and kill them with Alastor by your side. Now, it felt like you were the prey, but unlike your previous victims, you knew you were being hunted.
You sighed, it’s been going on for two months and you didn’t discover anything, the only thing news was that Baron Samedi was coming to check on you more often. You wondered if Alastor asked him to… Well, when you asked him, Baron Samedi just smiled at you with a knowing look so you guessed it was Alastor’s doing.
“ Fuck it, I’m calling a doctor.”
You turned your head toward Alice, who had a nice small bum which made you smile. She was now six weeks pregnant. Pregnancy looked good on her… Wait, what did she say?
“ No, no need. I’m just… tired.” you sighed, lying on the couch, closing your eyes.
“ You’ve been in this state for more than two weeks. I’m calling our best doctor, don’t move.” She stood up and called her butler.
You didn’t know when you fell asleep but you woke up with a gasp when you felt a touch on your shoulder. You sighed when you saw Alice who was beaming at you with a doctor next to her. You knew she wouldn’t give up, she didn’t know you were using your power most of the time to watch if the couple that attacked you was around…
Well, let’s just let Alice win this time.
You let the doctor examine you and smirked when he told you seemed very tired. You stared at Alice, with a ‘ I told you so’ gaze. She just snapped her fingers, demanding that you keep your focus on the doctor.
You felt cold around you and frowned when you saw Baron Samedi behind the doctor, staring at him with an amused smile. You tilted your head and gasped when the spirit went inside the doctor's body, making the man faint.
Alice gasped as she touched the man’s shoulder.
“ Mister,are you okay?”
The doctor, which you knew was possessed by Baron Samedi, smiled at her. You could see his eyes were different, you wondered if Alice could see it…
“ I’m doing great. I’m here to tell you what kind of sickness Mrs.Sanglar is having.”
You frowned, was he joking with you? What was he doing–?
“ You are pregnant.”
“ What?” Alice and you said in unison.
“ Congratulations, you must be around nine or ten weeks pregnant.” Baron Samedi smiled.
You screamed with Alice, both of you panicking. You stood up, placing your hands on your belly, screaming at Alice who was helding your hands with hers, screaming with you. You needed to calm down, you needed to calm down ! It could be a bad joke of Baron Samedi.
“ Wait, Alice we can’t panic at the same time!” You shouted, trying to calm yourself. You needed to… to calm yourself.
“ You are right. I’m going to panic first, then it’s your turn.” said Alice before screaming, moving around the living room.
You looked at Baron Samedi, still possessing the doctor’s body.
“ Are you joking? It is a nasty joke?” you asked, your voice shaking.
“ No, I promise. It explained your nausea, your emotional state, you didn’t get your period not because of stress but because you are pregnant.”
You sat on the couch, your whole body shaking from excitement, fear and happiness. You were pregnant..? You were going to have a baby..? Alastor and you were going to have a baby…? Oh my God..
You gasped when Alice touched your shoulder.
“ I finished panicking, it's your turn.”
You screamed in joy and pure fear once more. Alice hugged you, being mindful of her belly, her eyes getting teary. You didn't know why you began to sob, hugging her against you. You were pregnant… Oh God, oh God!
You needed to see Alastor right now!
You took you things, already asking for someone to take you to Alastor work. Then you stopped yourself, Alice bumping against your back.
“ No, maybe I should do a surprise for him? But will he see it coming ? What do I do ? What if he doesn’t want children, we never really talk about it? Oh, I need to tell Marie, and my mother, and my father! Oh and–” you stopped talking when Alice put her finger on your lips with a genuine smile.
“ Sweetie, deep breath…”
You closed your eyes and did as she told you, calming yourself. You bit your lips, oh lord, you were pregnant… You opened your eyes, feeling something you never felt in your life. There was a life that was beginning to grow inside you..
“ Now, what do you want to do?” Asked Alice.
“ I want to see Alastor.” you said, your voice calmer than a minute ago.
Alice nodded with a smile and asked one of her drivers to drive you to Alastor’s workplace. You were bouncing on the seat, stroking your belly, still flat for now. You felt like you were in a maze, you felt light but also heavy.
You ran out of the car once it parked. You looked down as you saw your shadow looking at you curiously. You told it to stay silent, watching as it went back to its normal form.
“ Victor, is Alastor working?” you asked, panting,  when you saw the man in the corridor. He looked at you with a welcoming smile before shaking his head.
“ He is inside but he finished working.”
You thanked him before entering Alastor’s office, and closed the door behind you. You watched as your husband was looking at you with a fond smile. You were breathing hard, which immediately made him stand up with a worried expression even if his smile was still present.
“ Well, darling, you look like you ran from something… or someone? Did you see them?” you smile as his eyes flashed red when he asked you if you ran into the catholic couple. You shook your head as you took his hand and placed it against your cheek.
“ No, no… I… I have good news. Well, I hope it’s going to be good news…”
You watched as Alastor looked at you, confused but let you speak. You kept your gaze on his face,  taking his hand from your cheek to place it against your belly. He tilted his head, confused. He looked so cute like this.
“ I’m pregnant.”
You watched as his eyes widened and his smile dropped, making your heart clenched. Was he not happy..? You waited for him to talk, you knew he always needed to have time with his thoughts but right now you needed him to act right now.
You watched as he kneeled in front of you, staring at your belly with a mix of fascination and confusion. You let him touch your stomach with a soft smile, he looked like a kid again, when he discovered something he never expected to exist.
“ You… I’ve made you… pregnant?” he asked softly, lifting his head up to watch you. You chuckled as you stroke his cheeks, your voice soft.
“ Yes.. I’m carrying your child.”
“Our child.” he corrected you.
“ Yes… Our child.” You smiled at him, your eyes getting teary. He scooped you in his arms, laughing.
“ Who would have thought ! There is something… in your belly that we created together…” He stared at you in fascination. He seemed fascinated that you both created something that would be alive.
You kissed him softly and giggled when you felt his shadow touched your belly with curiosity. It was poking at your belly then it went to poked your shadow’s belly who let him do it. Alastor made you sit down before opening the door and asking Victor to bring you a cup of water.
You looked at your belly. You were creating life, after killing so many people. You smiled, in a few months, you would meet your baby, something you and Alastor’s love created.
You couldn’t wait.

okay. im going to post again and break my own promise because i also want to address another side of the argument.
people saying how they can’t watch part 2 now because luke manipulated the fans and they feel that the magic is ruined.
remember. we are talking about real people here. they are not the fictional characters they play on screen. let’s go over this one by one, i LOVE making numbered lists for arguments:
1. Luke and Nicola provided us with a fabulous tour. They owe us NOTHING.
It’s US who should be greatfull to them for doing hard work. A long press tour with that amount of promotion must have been absolutely exhausting no matter how much you love your job.
2. Luke isn’t obliged to fall in love with Nic and date Nic.
3. Nic isn’t obliged to fall in love with Luke and date Luke.
4. MULTIPLE times they addressed the fact that they are good friends. People were giddy making gifs saying “no, ur lying”.
Now imagine someone coming up to you and saying “You’re in love with me”. You answer “No i’m not”. They tell you “Nah, you’re lying”. It’s all in good fun until it grows into a straight up disrespectful delusion.
Tumblr media
5. The personal life of actors shouldn’t affect how you feel about fictional characters. ESPECIALLY if they did not a fucking thing wrong. I wish really creepy and predotary people in the industry got at least half of the shit Luke is going through right now because Luke dared to have a fucking relationship. Or a relationship not with Nic.
6. We should be thankful to Nic and Luke for being kind, professional and respectful. We should be in love with their beautiful friendship, and not push either of them to cater to desires of fans who cannot, will not, do not want to distinguish between show and real fucking life. They have no obligation to you to start dating because their onscreen counterparts did and you liked it.
7. Again, I do not want to speculate. I have no idea if it was their decision or if it was PR. If they were encouraged to hide their relationship during promotion (imagine waiting this fucking long), or if they were encouraged to show that they’re together right after the show dropped. I do not know AND IT DOES NOT MATTER. Even the idea of restraining your personal life due to PR is sad and makes me sick. I hope they’re just going with the flow, staying true to themselves and are being HAPPY.
“Was it a wrong PR decision?” does not fucking matter because it should be their fucking decision to begin with. The fact that PR is created for this exact reason - to do damage control when people lose their shit over something normal is bind-boggling. It is insane that we came to this fucking point in human history.
8. The phrase “Luke’s hard launch” disgusts me. Fans are talking about Antonia like she’s an object and not a real person. JUST STOP!
9. Try to be fucking kind and touch the fucking grass once in a while. Grass is lovely - take Penelope’s advice.
Seeing this makes me think that the comments are coming from two groups of people:
1. Toxic stan’s who want Nic with Luke and can’t grasp the idea that they are not their characters. “Luke is a lot like Colin” from interviews does not fucking equal “Luke is in love with Nic”. Following this delulu logic he should have fallen for Claudia then because they said multiple times that Claudia is a lot like Pen and Nic is a lot like Eloise. There is no fucking connection in these statements. Fucking none.
Tumblr media
2. People who loved the idea of Luke being single because it allows them to fantasize about Luke falling in love with them. It’s okay, we’ve all had celebrity crushes, but when it gets to the point of you throwing hate at the person, it becomes creepy and unhealthy.
To all the haters and “sympathizers” - get some help and get your shit together.

“Am I doing something wrong?” Jake asks as he lifts his head from your core.
It’s currently around three in the morning, you woke up a few minutes ago unable to find any peace in your dreams and after constantly tossing and turning, you accidentally woke up Jake who tried luring you back to sleep with a kiss which quickly escalated to heavily making out and him making his way down south.
You whine, tugging at his hair and encourage him to continue. “What makes you think you could possibly be doing something wrong?”
“You look like you’d prefer to be anywhere else.” Rather than continuing like you had told him to, Jake lets one finger graze the length of your pussy, teasing your entrance slowly to try and turn you on again after realizing you were no longer wet. “What are you thinking of, love?”
Your thoughts instantly fly back to what has been plaguing your mind for the past four days and you immediately push his hands away. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
Jake watches you fix your pajamas which consist of his oversized shirt and boxers before pulling the sheets over your body. He follows after you, waiting for an explanation. When you say nothing, he speaks up.
“Hey, no more secrets, remember?”
He slides an arm around your waist and pulls you in closer to his body. You inhale deeply at the reminder of your words. You sigh, chewing on your lip as you try to form a sentence without possibly upsetting him.
“I know it’s just…” You trail off and try to think through your emotions. You want to be upfront with him and let him know what you’re truly thinking and feeling but you barely know how to process it yourself let alone let someone else know what’s going on in your mind.
“I don’t know how to put it into words yet.”
“If you’re not ready to talk about it,” He pulls back to offer you a lopsided smile and places a kiss on your cheek, “It’s fine. Tell me whenever you are.”
Hesitantly, you nod; kissing his cheek before turning around and letting him spoon you. As you feel him drift into sleep, the weight of his arm slumping completely over your waist, your thoughts fly back to four nights ago, when your life seemingly took a drastic turn.
After Jake professed his love to you in the rain on Newbury street, the two of you took an uber back to his dorm to dry off and talk about the logistics of your relationship. It completely slipped your mind to tell your friends where you had disappeared off to and it didn’t help that your phone had died on the way to your destination.
You were once again so wrapped up in Sim Jaeyun that you were throwing caution to the wind and yet again placing him above yourself and others in your life. It wasn’t until six hours after you had arrived at his did you bother to charge your phone. Once the device turned on, the text messages came swarming in.
[November 18th, 2:17 PM]

[avi to-toilet texters]: this is the jake effect.
[avi to-toilet texters]: he shows up for two seconds and now look
[beomgyu to-toilet texters]: avi…
To say you were embarrassed would be an understatement. You quickly responded to the groupchat letting them know about your whereabouts and the circumstances as to why it took you so long to get back to them. None of them were pleased.
Apparently, Jungwon and Beomgyu were only a minute away from marching down to the police station to file a missing persons report. Avi didn’t hold back her anger and annoyance with you. The second you responded to the group chat with your measly apology she was calling you and going in over the phone. You shiver as you think back to her cold words.
"You've really done it this time, haven't you?" she snaps, her tone cutting through the air like a knife. "I can't believe you'd be so reckless, so selfish. And for what? For that jerk?"
Her words strike a nerve, a pang of guilt twisting in your chest as you struggle to find the right response. But before you can gather your thoughts, Avi's tirade continues, her voice growing more heated with each passing moment.
"You're no better than him, you know," she continues, her words heavy with disdain. "Hurting Jungwon like that, just to chase after some guy who doesn't give a damn about you? You two deserve each other."
The weight of her words hangs heavy in the air, a painful reminder of the rift between you and your friends.
"I'm sorry, Avi," you whisper, your voice barely above a whisper. "I never meant to hurt anyone. But please, try to understand..."
But before you can finish, Avi cuts you off, her voice cold and dismissive. “Try to understand? ____, Jungwon was ready to call the cops!"
You wince at her words, the guilt weighing heavily on your shoulders. "I-I'm sorry, Avi," you stammer, your voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to worry you guys. It's just... things got complicated."
"Complicated?" Avi scoffs, her disbelief evident. "You mean you were too wrapped up in Sim Jaeyun to even bother letting us know you were okay?"
Tears prickle at the corners of your eyes as you listen to her words, the reality of the situation hitting you like a punch to the gut. "I'm sorry," you repeat, your voice trembling with emotion. "I didn't mean to hurt you guys. I just... I needed some time to figure things out."
"I don't want to hear it," she snaps, her tone final. "Jungwon didn’t deserve what you did to him. You deserve the inevitable pain that comes with Jake."
With that, she ended the call, leaving you reeling in the aftermath of her anger. That was four days ago. Out of shame you’ve been hiding out in Jake’s dorm, too embarrassed to even show your face on your own campus. Jake, having heard the heated conversation from his seated position next to you on his couch, offered to let you sleep over until Avi cooled down and you felt more comfortable to go home.
But as the days come to pass you don’t think you’ll ever be ready to go back home. If there even is a home for you to go back to. Every night you fall asleep thinking of your friends and how you’ve messed things up, how they’re doing, if they miss you as much as you miss them, if they’ll ever forgive you. Especially Jungwon.
He just won’t leave your thoughts. You wake up thinking of him and fall asleep dreaming of him. You know eventually you’ll have to man up and make amends with him but a part of you fears you’ve messed up too greatly this time. That Jungwon no longer wants anything to do with you and you can’t blame him for that.
You led him on and let him hold onto the false narrative of the two of you becoming something only to leave him in the dust once Jake came around. There’s an unsettling feeling bubbling up in your chest as you once again analyze your decisions.
You’re happy with Jake, right? This is what you’ve always wanted and yet you have this gut feeling you’ve made the biggest mistake of your life.
“You’re thinking too loudly, babe, please go to sleep.” Jake mumbles while yawning, pulling you closer. “I’m sure it’s nothing.”
You hope so, too.

Present day | November 22nd
“Wake up!”
The sound of Jay's cheerful voice breaks through the haze of sleep, pulling you from the comfort of Jake's embrace. With a soft groan, you bury your face deeper into the warmth of the blankets, reluctant to leave the cocoon you've found.
"Wake up sleepy heads!" Jay's voice calls again, this time accompanied by the gentle shake of your shoulder.
Reluctantly, you peel open your eyes, blinking against the intrusion of light filtering in through the window. Jake stirs beside you, his arm tightening around your waist in a silent bid for you to stay a little longer.
But with a sigh, you muster the strength to sit up, rubbing the sleep from your eyes as you glance at Jay with a sheepish smile. "Morning," you mumble, your voice thick with sleep.
Jay grins back at you, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he gestures towards the clock on the wall. "Come on, you two. Sunghoon and Heeseung are waiting, and I made breakfast!"
The mention of food perks up Jake's interest, and he shoots you a playful grin before swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. "You heard the man," he says, his voice laced with excitement. "Let's go eat!"
With a shared laugh, you and Jake follow Jay out of the bedroom and into the cozy kitchenette of their dorm. The scent of freshly cooked pancakes fills the air, mingling with the aroma of brewing coffee as Jay sets the table with an infectious energy.
As you settle down to breakfast with Jake and Jay, the warmth of their friendship washes over you, bringing you genuine joy with their connection.
As you sip your coffee and dig into the delicious pancakes Jay prepared, you find yourself reflecting on the bond you've been forming with him over the past couple of days. It wasn’t easy at first, considering the tension that arose between him and Beomgyu at the party. But Jay's sincere apology and explanation about his protective nature towards Jake helped to ease the tension.
You remember how he had approached you two days ago, a sheepish smile on his face as he apologized for his near fight with Beomgyu. His explanation had made sense, and his genuine remorse had been evident. Jay's willingness to take responsibility for his actions had impressed you, and it had been the first step towards building trust between you.
And then, there was his joke about nearly stealing you away from Jake at the party, a playful comment that had brought a smile to your lips. Despite the initial awkwardness between you, Jay's sense of humor had helped to break the ice and pave the way for a more comfortable interaction.
As you glance at Jay now, chatting animatedly with Jake as they discuss their plans for the day, you can't help but feel grateful for his presence in your life. His friendship has become an unexpected source of support and laughter, adding a new dynamic to your relationship with Jake.
With a newfound sense of appreciation for the friendship blossoming between you and Jay, you join in the conversation, eagerly anticipating the group hang out with Sunghoon and Heeseung.
With a curious glint in your eyes, you turn to Jay and Jake, the question lingering on the tip of your tongue. "What are Heeseung and Sunghoon like?" you inquire, eager to learn more about their friends.
Jay's grin widens at your question, his enthusiasm contagious. "Heeseung’s the mood maker," he begins, his voice filled with admiration. "He's the most social out of all of us and always knows how to keep the energy up."
Jake nods in agreement, a fond smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, Heeseung is on the basketball team, and he's got this natural charm that draws people to him," he adds. "You'll love him."
“As for Sunghoon," Jay continues, his expression thoughtful, "he's a bit more reserved at first, but when you get to know him, he's a certified yapper. Once he warms up, he's got a lot to say."
Jake snorts, “yeah, if you thought I was bad Sunghoon’s worse, don’t get him started on Yeji or anything skating related he’ll never shut up.”
You perk up at the mention of another girl, “Yeji? Is that his girlfriend?”
Jay nearly spits out his coffee and Jake doubles over from the force of his laughter.
You frown. “What, did I say something wrong?”
Jake shakes his head and wraps his arm around your shoulder to bring you in, “No baby, Yeji is his little sister.”
Your mouth makes an O shape as it sinks in why they were so amused, “my bad.” You sheepishly murmur.
Jay wipes away a tear of laughter as he recovers, still chuckling. "No worries, happens to the best of us."
Jake gives you a reassuring squeeze before releasing you. "Yeah, Sunghoon practically worships the ground his little sister walks on," he explains, his laughter subsiding into a warm smile. "You'll see what we mean when you meet him."
With the misunderstanding cleared up, you finish up breakfast with Jake and Jay, the lively conversation and laughter filling the small kitchenette. As the last of the dishes are washed and dried, you make your way back to Jake's room to get ready for the day ahead.
As you rummage through your limited selection of clothes, Jake enters the room with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I've got something for you," he says, holding up a small shopping bag.
Curious, you peek inside to find a Harvard hoodie nestled within. It's maroon with the school's name printed on the front with its emblem up in the corner. You stare at the hoodie, not sure what to make of it. "Jake, you didn't have to..."
He cuts you off with a grin. "I wanted to," he insists, his eyes warm with affection. “I have a matching one, plus if you do decide to transfer you need to have a Harvard hoodie, it’s a rite of passage here!”
Your hum as your mind flashes back to the conversation you had with Jake a few days ago.
You were walking through Harvard’s campus on your way to his dorm. The imposing, ivy-covered buildings made you feel out of place, a stark reminder that this had once been your dream school.
"I still can't believe you're here," you had said, half in awe and half in melancholy. "I used to imagine myself walking these paths every day."
Jake had looked at you, his expression serious. "You could still be here, you know. Transferring is always an option."
You had laughed then, a little bitterly. "It's not that simple, Jake. I have friends at Northeastern, a life... And Harvard feels so far away now."
Jake had stopped walking, turning to face you. "But if it makes you happy, isn't it worth considering? We could be together, and you'd finally be living your dream."
You had sighed, looking away. "I don't know, Jake. It's a lot to think about."
Shaking off the memory, you manage a small smile, touched nonetheless by the sentiment of his gift. "Thanks, Jake. I appreciate it," you say, your mind still swirling with conflicting emotions. On one hand, the thought of transferring to Harvard, being with Jake, and starting fresh is appealing. But on the other hand, the guilt of potentially betraying Avi, Jungwon, and Beomgyu tugs at your heart. They were your first friends here, and you can’t picture a life where they’re not in it.
As you slip on the hoodie, a comfortable warmth spreads through you, though it does little to ease the turmoil inside. Jake watches you, his smile faltering slightly as he notices your pensive expression.
"Hey," he says softly, breaking the silence. "Have you given it any more thought? Transferring, I mean."
You take a deep breath, turning to face him. "Honestly, no. I haven't really had the chance to think it through."
Jake's face softens, and he steps closer, taking your hands in his. "I understand. It's a big decision. But can you promise me one thing?"
"What?" you ask, your voice barely above a whisper.
"Promise me that you'll at least think about it. Not for me, but for yourself. You deserve to follow your dreams, and I don't want you to have any regrets."
You look into his earnest eyes, feeling a mix of gratitude and guilt. "I promise, Jake. I'll think about it."
He smiles, squeezing your hands gently. "That's all I ask."
You take another deep breath, pushing aside your worries for now. "Ready to go meet your friends?" you ask, trying to keep your voice light.
Jake nods, his smile widening. "Yeah, they're excited to meet you. The MFA is going to be amazing."
You grab your tote bag and head towards the door with him once he finishes getting dressed. As you step out into the hallway, you can't help but glance back at the dorm room you've been staying in, wondering how long you'll be caught between two worlds.
You join Jay in the living room, where he's waiting with the keys to his car in hand. "Ready to go?" he asks, flashing you a grin.
You nod eagerly, excitement bubbling within you as you anticipate the day ahead. With a final glance around the room, you follow Jay and Jake out of the dorm and into the chilly afternoon, ready to meet the people Jake considers his closest friends now.
As you pile into Jay's car, the excitement in the air is palpable. Jake takes the driver's seat, you settle into the passenger side, and Jay slides into the back, sandwiched between you. The engine roars to life, and with a grin from Jake, the car pulls out onto the road.
The ride is short but lively, filled with laughter and playful banter as you share stories and jokes. The music blasts from the speakers, a mishmash of songs from all your playlists, creating the perfect soundtrack for the journey. You find yourself singing along to familiar tunes, feeling the carefree joy of the moment wash over you.
Before you know it, Jake is pulling into a parking spot near the Museum of Fine Arts, and you all pile out of the car, eager to explore the exhibits.
Heeseung and Sunghoon are already waiting by the ticket booth, chatting animatedly as they purchase the tickets for the group. Heeseung's infectious smile lights up his face as he catches sight of you, and he waves enthusiastically.
"Jay! Jake!" he calls out, his voice friendly and welcoming. "Glad you could make it. I've been looking forward to finally meeting the ever so famous, ____ ."
Jake returns his smile with one of his own. "Aye~ chill out." he replies, his tone filled with a hint of embarrassment.
Sunghoon joins in, his own smile warm and inviting. "Nice to meet you," he says, nodding in your direction. "Jake's been talking about you nonstop."
You chuckle at the teasing remark, feeling a sense of ease settle over you in their presence. Despite the nerves that come with meeting new people, Heeseung and Sunghoon's friendly demeanor puts you at ease, and you can't help but feel excited for the day ahead.
With tickets in hand, you all make your way into the museum, ready to immerse yourselves in the world of art and culture.
As your group strolls through the museum, the array of artwork captivates your attention. Jake and Sunghoon, engrossed in the intricate details of Japanese art, wander ahead, their conversation a mix of admiration and fascination. Jay, however, lags a bit behind, his steps deliberate as he scrutinizes each piece with a keen eye.
Meanwhile, Heeseung and you find yourselves falling into step, engaged in a conversation about Jake. Heeseung's relief is palpable as he expresses his happiness about the reconciliation between you and Jake.
"He's been so happy lately," Heeseung confides, his voice filled with genuine happiness for his friend. "I'm really glad you two made up. It's like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders."
You nod in understanding. "Yeah, I'm glad we cleared the air. It feels good to be back on good terms."
Heeseung's smile widens, his eyes reflecting warmth. "You have no idea how much it means to him," he assures you.
You smile, not sure what to say in response. Sensing this Heeseung changes the topic.
“So, how do you like Boston?”
“It’s great! There’s so much to do. My friends and I love going to Newbury for the food festivals.” You say, a small smile on your face at the chance of talking about your friends.
Heeseung nods. “That sounds fun. Have you been to Allston yet? The kbbq  there is incredible.”
“Not yet, but it’s on my list,” you reply. “Jake keeps promising to take me.”
Heeseung chuckles. “He’d better. It’s a must-see.”
As you continue walking through the museum, admiring the exhibits, a wave of guilt washes over you as you stare at the back of Jake’s head. Memories of the previous night flood your mind, the warmth of Jake's embrace juxtaposed with the lingering doubts about your feelings for Jungwon.
Caught between the past and the present, you struggle to push aside the nagging thoughts that something isn’t right.
Heeseung glances at you before clearing his throat to ask, “are you transferring to Harvard?”
Caught off guard, you shake your head. “Why do you ask?”
His eyes shift down to the hoodie and understanding dawns on you.
“Oh. No, it was a gift from Jake. I’m still at Northeastern.”
Heeseung nods thoughtfully. “Makes sense. But you know, if you did transfer, it would probably help Jake a lot.”
You furrow your brow in confusion. “Help him? How?”
Heeseung’s brows pinch together as he frowns, "his sobriety?”
The revelation hits you like a ton of bricks, leaving you momentarily speechless as you stop walking. You had no idea that Jake had ever struggled with substance abuse.
Heeseung's face slowly falls as he realizes his mistake, cursing softly under his breath as he realizes he's dropped a bombshell on you without warning. "I'm sorry," he says, his voice tinged with regret. "I shouldn't have just blurted that out like that, I thought he told you."
You shake your head, trying to process the newfound information while also feeling a pang of sympathy for Heeseung's evident discomfort. "No, it's okay," you assure him, offering a reassuring smile despite the whirlwind of emotions churning within you.
Heeseung's expression softens, gratitude evident in his eyes as he meets your gaze. "Thanks," he murmurs, a note of relief in his voice. "I’m sure he’ll tell you soon, he’s been meaning to."
You nod in understanding, the weight of Heeseung's words sinking in as you come to terms with the realization that there's still so much about Jake's life that you don't know. "I'll wait for him to bring it up," you promise.
With a grateful smile, Heeseung bumps you on the shoulder before turning to rejoin the rest of the group, leaving you alone with your thoughts amidst the bustling museum crowds.
As the group continues to explore the museum, you find it increasingly difficult to focus on the artwork around you. You think about Jake’s struggles and the possibility of transferring to Harvard. While the idea of being there to support him is compelling, you can’t ignore the nagging guilt about Avi, Jungwon, and Beomgyu. They’ve always been there for you, and you don’t want to let them down by choosing Jake yet again.
Despite the vibrant chatter and laughter of your friends, you feel a growing sense of unease gnawing at your conscience.
When Jake suggests grabbing some food from El Jefe, your stomach churns with conflicting emotions. The prospect of spending more time with your newfound friends is enticing, but the memories of late nights at that very restaurant with Jungwon after studying all night fills you with sadness.
As you follow the group out of the museum and into the chilly streets of Boston, you realize just how close you are to your dorm. A pang of sadness tugs at your heart as you remember Avi and Beomgyu as well, wondering what they’re up to. The thought of facing them again fills you with apprehension, yet a part of you longs for the familiarity of their company.
As you approach El Jefe, the scent of delicious Mexican food wafts through the air, tempting your taste buds but as you guys gather around a table, eagerly discussing the meal choices, you find yourself hesitating.
"I think I'm gonna pass on lunch," you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper as you address Jake and the others. "I... I need to take care of something."
Jake's brow furrows with concern as he meets your gaze, sensing the sudden shift in your demeanor. "Are you okay?" he asks, his voice filled with genuine worry.
You force a smile, though it feels strained on your lips. "Yeah, I'll be fine," you assure him, though the lie tastes bitter in your mouth.
Heeseung, Jay, and Sunghoon exchange puzzled glances, sensing the tension in the air. But before anyone can question you further, you push back your chair and rise to your feet, the need for solitude outweighing the discomfort of their curious stares.
"Sorry, I just... I need to talk to someone," you explain vaguely, not wanting to burden them with the weight of your emotions.
Jake's expression softens with understanding, and he nods in silent acknowledgment of your unspoken plea. "Take all the time you need," he says gently, reaching out to squeeze your hand in a silent gesture of support.
With a grateful smile, you offer him a nod before turning on your heel and making your way out of the restaurant, the familiar ache of loneliness lingering in your chest.
First, you head to Wollaston's to buy cherry gummy bears for Jungwon. The bright, familiar packaging gives you a momentary sense of comfort, a small reminder of the inside jokes and shared moments with your friends.
With the gummy bears safely tucked into your bag, you make your way to your dorm room, your heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and anxiety.
Taking a deep breath, you push open the door and step into the lit hallway, the sound of your footsteps echoing against the walls. With each step, the tension in your shoulders mounts, the anticipation of facing Avi after so long weighing heavily on your mind.
Finally, you reach your dorm and let yourself in. You spot Avi’s shoes at the entrance, proving she’s home, but you find the little living room and kitchen empty, meaning she’s in her room. You walk up to her door and pause for a moment, gathering your thoughts before raising your hand to knock. The seconds tick by agonizingly slow, the silence stretching between you like a chasm.
Then, the door swings open, and there she stands, with her piercing gaze and arms crossed tightly across her chest. The tension in the air is palpable as you meet her eyes, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy between you.
“Avi, can we talk?” you ask softly, stepping into the room.
Avi looks down, her eyes narrowing when she notices the Harvard hoodie. “What do you want?” she asks, her tone guarded.
“I know you’re upset, and you have every right to be,” you start, taking a deep breath. “I’ve been so wrapped up in Jake that I’ve neglected you and everyone else. I’m really sorry.”
Avi’s eyes flicker with uncertainty. “You’re wearing a Harvard hoodie. Are you already planning to leave us?”
“No,” you say quickly, shaking your head. “It was a gift from Jake. He talked to me about transferring, but I don’t want to leave my friends. You all mean too much to me.”
Avi studies you for a moment, her expression softening just a bit. “It feels like you’ve already left us, though.”
“I know,” you admit, feeling the sting of her words. “And I’m really sorry. I’ve been a terrible friend. But I want to make it right.”
Before Avi can respond, you hear a familiar voice from behind her. “She’s telling the truth, Avi,” Beomgyu says, coming into view. He’s sitting on the other side of her bed, partially hidden by her fugue. “She seems sincere.”
You turn to Beomgyu, your heart aching. “I’m so sorry, Beomgyu. I’ve been awful to you all, and I don’t deserve your forgiveness, but I’m asking for it anyway. Please, give me a chance to make things right.”
Beomgyu looks at Avi, who sighs and nods slightly. He then turns back to you. “It’s going to take time, but I think we can give you that chance.”
Relief floods through you, and you feel tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. “Thank you. I promise I’ll do better.”
Avi gets up and walks over to you, pulling you into a hesitant hug. “Just don’t disappear on us again, okay?”
You nod, hugging her tightly. “I won’t. I promise.”
Beomgyu joins the hug, and for a moment, the three of you stand there, holding onto each other. When you finally pull away, you wipe your eyes and smile.
Avi breaks the silence with a question that catches you off guard. "So, how are things with Jake?" she asks, her tone hesitant yet curious.
Avi's question lingers in the air, and you take a moment to gather your thoughts before responding. "Things with Jake... they're actually going better than I thought," you admit, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "I've met all of his friends, and they're actually really sweet."
Avi's eyebrows raise in surprise, though there's a hint of skepticism in her expression. "Really? Even Jay?" she asks, her voice laced with doubt.
You nod, feeling a pang of guilt at the mention of Jay's name. "Yeah, even Jay," you confirm. "He's been... really nice to me." You turn to Beomgyu. “He even apologized for how he came at you at the party. I'm sure if he saw you again, he'd apologize to you as well.”
Beomgyu nods softly and shrugs. “Water under the bridge? I'm glad you guys are getting along."
You offer Beomgyu a grateful smile before turning back to Avi. "I know we've got a lot to catch up on, but there's one more person I need to make amends with," you explain, your voice tinged with regret. "I need to talk to Jungwon."
Avi's expression softens at the mention of Jungwon's name, understanding dawning in her eyes. "Yeah, you do," she agrees quietly. "But take your time. He'll come around."
You nod and turn to Beomgyu who offers you a tight-lipped smile. “He should be in our room. He’s probably packing for Thanksgiving break,” Beomgyu offers as he lays back down on Avi’s bed. Your brows furrow at that.
“He’s going back to Korea?”
Beomgyu hums. “Said he needs the mental break.”
Avi sighs, sitting back down beside Beomgyu. “I was hoping we could all spend Thanksgiving together like we planned but I get he needs space.”
“I know,” you say, feeling a pang of guilt. “I didn’t realize things had gotten so bad for him.”
Beomgyu’s eyes soften. “He’s been really stressed. With everything that’s been happening, I think he just needs to get away and clear his head.”
“Maybe talking to him will help,” Avi suggests. “Even if he’s leaving, he deserves to know how much you care.”
You nod, taking a deep breath. “I hope so. I really don’t want to lose him as a friend.”
Beomgyu gives you a reassuring smile. “Just be honest with him. He’ll appreciate that, even if he’s still upset.”
“Thanks, Beomgyu,” you say softly. “I’m going to go talk to him now.”
Avi stands and gives you another quick hug. “Good luck. We’ll be here if you need us.”
With a nod, you leave Avi’s room and your dorm all together, your heart heavy. As you walk down the hallway towards Beomgyu and Jungwon’s shared dorm, your mind races with thoughts of how to approach Jungwon. The closer you get, the more you feel the weight of your actions and their impact on your friends.
When you reach your destination, the door is slightly ajar. You push it open gently and see Jungwon inside, methodically folding clothes and placing them into his suitcase in the living room. The sight of him packing feels like a punch to the gut, knowing that his departure is partly your fault.
“Jungwon,” you start tentatively, stepping inside.
He doesn’t look up, his movements precise and mechanical. “What do you want?”
“I came to apologize,” you say, holding out the gummy bears. “And I brought these. I know they’re your favorite.”
Jungwon glances at the gummy bears, then back to his suitcase. “You think gummy bears are going to fix this?”
“No,” you say quickly. “I just wanted to show you that I care. I’ve been a terrible friend, and I know I’ve hurt you.”
He finally stops packing and looks at you, his expression a mix of hurt and anger. “Do you even realize what you’ve done? It’s like we don’t matter to you.”
“That’s not true,” you say, your voice trembling. “You mean the world to me.”
Jungwon shakes his head. “If we meant so much to you, you wouldn’t have treated us like this. Do you know how it feels to watch the girl you’re in love with settle for some douchebag like Jake?”
Your breath catches. “Jungwon, I didn’t know…”
“Of course you didn’t,” he snaps. “Because you never took the time to see what was right in front of you. You were too busy chasing after Jake.”
“Jungwon, I…” you trail off, trying to find the right words. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
He scoffs. “You didn’t mean to, but you did. Over and over again. And the worst part is, you don’t even see it. The way you so willingly left Avi, Beomgyu, and me behind for Jake is alarming. I never knew you were this self-absorbed.”
Tears well up in your eyes. “Jungwon, please. I’m trying to make things right.”
He sighs, looking more tired than angry now. “You can’t just come back and expect everything to be okay. It doesn’t work like that. It’s not fair.”
“I know,” you say, your voice breaking. “But I’m willing to do whatever it takes to earn your forgiveness.”
Jungwon stares at you for a long moment. “If you want my forgiveness, you need to make a choice. Him or me.”
Your heart sinks. “Jungwon, please don’t make me choose.”
“I’m serious,” he says, his voice cold.
Desperate, you try to shift the conversation. “What about our Thanksgiving plans?”
Jungwon scoffs. “Spend it with Jake,” he retorts, his gaze flicking to the Harvard hoodie you’re wearing. “You know, the one who got you that hoodie. Remember when you said Harvard was your past and you were ready to focus on me and Northeastern? What a load of crap.”
You feel a surge of desperation. “Jungwon, please. I was confused. I didn’t know this would happen!”
“Oh, you didn’t know?” His voice rises, frustration clear. “That’s such bullshit! First you picked Jake over us, it was like a slap in the face. And now, you show up wearing that hoodie, like it’s some badge of honor.”
“It’s just a hoodie,” you protest weakly. “It doesn’t mean anything.”
“It means everything!” Jungwon shouts, slamming his suitcase shut. “It’s a symbol of all the times you put Jake first. You said you were done with Harvard, done with him being your priority, but here we are.”
“Jungwon, I’m sorry,” you plead, tears streaming down your face. “I never meant to hurt you. I love you, Avi, and Beomgyu. You’re my best friends.”
“Then why do you treat us like we’re second best?” he demands, his voice breaking. “Why did you lie to me?”
“I didn’t lie,” you whisper. “I was just… lost. Jake is my first love, and I got caught up in that. But you, Avi, and Beomgyu are my family. I don’t want to lose you.”
Jungwon’s expression softens for a brief moment, but then hardens again. “You already have,” he says quietly. “You’ve pushed me away too many times. I can’t trust you anymore.”
“What can I do?” you ask, desperation lacing your voice. “Tell me, and I’ll do it.”
“If you want my forgiveness, you need to make a choice. Him or me,” he repeats firmly.
“Jungwon, please,” you beg. “Don’t make me choose.”
“I’m serious,” he says, his voice cold. “I can’t watch you destroy yourself over Jake. So, make a choice.”
You stand there, speechless and trembling, the weight of his ultimatum pressing down on you. Jungwon looks away, his expression hardened. “Just go. I need to finish packing.”
Desperate and broken, you try one last time. “Jungwon, please…”
But he’s already turned his back on you, continuing to pack as if you aren’t there. With a heavy heart, you turn and leave the dorm, feeling more lost and alone than ever. As you walk down the hallway back to your room, the tears finally spill over, blurring your vision. The realization that you might have just lost one of your closest friends hits you hard.
The door to your dorm opens again, and Avi steps out, her face soft with concern. She takes one look at your tear-streaked face and pulls you into another hug, her grip tight and reassuring. “It’s going to be okay,” she whispers, her voice steady. “We’ll figure this out together.”
Beomgyu joins the two of you, “We’re here for you,” he says quietly. “No matter what happens.”
You take a shaky breath, still enveloped in Avi’s comforting embrace. “I don’t understand why Jungwon was so cold and closed off,” you say, your voice trembling, not used to being on the receiving end of his anger.
Avi pulls back slightly, enough to look you in the eyes. “It’s a given he’s upset. You’re important to him, and he feels hurt and betrayed. But that doesn’t mean he won’t come around. He just needs time.”
Beomgyu nods in agreement. “Jungwon’s always been the calm and understanding one, but everyone has their breaking point. He’s just reached his. Give him some space to process everything. He loves you too much to stay mad forever.”
You nod, feeling a glimmer of hope through the despair. “I just wish I hadn’t hurt him so badly.”
“We all make mistakes,” Avi says gently. “At least you’re trying to make up for it now.”
Beomgyu pats your shoulder. “Yeah, plus we’re here to help you.”
A small smile forms on your lips as you take in their words. “Thank you, both of you. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Avi squeezes your hand. “You don’t have to worry about that because we’re not going anywhere. We’ll get through this together.”
Feeling a bit lighter, you take a deep breath and straighten up. “I need to figure out how to fix things with Jungwon. But for now, I guess I should let him have his space.”
“That’s a good idea,” Beomgyu agrees. “Let him cool down. In the meantime, let’s focus on spending some time together. We’ve missed you.”
“Yeah,” Avi adds, her tone brightening. “Let’s do something fun.”
You smile, feeling a bit of the tension ease from your shoulders. “I’d like that. I’ve missed you guys too.”
With Avi and Beomgyu by your side, you start to walk back towards your bedroom.

November 28th | Thanksgiving Day
“This isn’t how I pictured Friendsgiving going.” Avi clears her throat, breaking the tense silence.
You look around the room, taking in the scene. Your dorm is filled with people, but the atmosphere is anything but festive. Jake, Heeseung, Jay, and Sunghoon are here, along with Avi, Beomgyu, and yourself. The idea had been to merge friend groups for Thanksgiving/Chuseok, a suggestion from Avi and Beomgyu in an attempt to bridge the growing divide for your sake. But now, everyone sits awkwardly on the floor, picking at their side dishes, unsure of what to do or say.
Beomgyu is the next to break the silence. “How about we play a drinking game?” he offers, a hint of forced enthusiasm in his voice. “Might help loosen the tension.”
You sneak a glance at Jake, curious to see his reaction. He still hasn’t told you about his sobriety, and you wonder how he’ll handle this situation.
Jake looks around at the expectant faces, then clears his throat. “I don’t drink,” he says simply, his voice steady. “But I don’t mind if others do. I’ll just stick to the mocktails.” He offers a small smile and raises his glass of the non-alcoholic concoction you and Avi had prepared earlier.
You nod, making a mental note to ask him about it later, despite the promise you made to Heeseung not to mention it. The curiosity is too overwhelming to ignore.
Avi looks around, trying to salvage the situation. “Okay, mocktails for some, drinks for others. Let’s just try to have a good time.”
Heeseung nods. “What about Truth or Drink? It’s a good way to get to know each other better.”
Everyone exchanges glances, and after a moment, nods of agreement ripple through the group. Heeseung takes charge, explaining the rules quickly. “You either answer the question honestly, or you take a drink. Simple as that.”
The first few rounds are tentative, with everyone choosing relatively safe questions. Gradually, the atmosphere lightens as laughter and teasing fill the room.
Jay looks at Avi. “What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?”
Avi laughs, her cheeks flushing as she recounts a story about a high school talent show gone wrong. The room erupts in laughter, and for the first time, the tension seems to dissipate.
During Sunghoon’s turn, you excuse yourself to get a refill of more banchan from the kitchen. Avi joins you, leaning against the counter as you gather the dishes.
“You know,” Avi says, her voice low so it doesn’t carry back to the others, “Jake and his friends aren’t all that bad.”
You glance at her, surprised but pleased. “Yeah, they’re really nice once you get to know them.”
Avi nods, then her expression turns somber. “I just wish Jungwon was here. Celebrating Chuseok was for him, after all. He was starting to get homesick after missing Chuseok with his family.”
A pang of sadness hits you at the reminder. You take a deep breath, trying to push away the ache in your chest. “I know. I miss him too. But at least he gets to celebrate a real Chuseok with his family.”
Avi gives you a small, sympathetic smile. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. It’s just not the same without him.”
You nod, trying to focus on the positive. “We’ll see him soon enough. And who knows? Maybe things will be better by then.”
Returning to the group with the banchan, you notice the warm, friendly atmosphere that has developed. Jake catches your eye and smiles, after placing down the ceramic serving dish you take a seat beside him.
As the game continues, Jay looks over at you and Jake. “You two make a really cute couple, you know that?”
Before you can respond, Sunghoon and Beomgyu, both tipsy, start hugging each other and pretending to make out, mimicking a couple to tease you and Jake. Everyone bursts into laughter, the playful antics breaking any remaining tension in the room.
Avi playfully rolls her eyes. “Alright, boys, cut it out,” she says with a grin. She glances at the clock on the wall and her eyes widen slightly. “Shit, it’s late. If you guys want, you can sleep over.”
The boys thank her, and the sleeping arrangements are quickly sorted out. Heeseung claims the couch, Sunghoon opts for the blow-up mattress on the floor, and Beomgyu, as always, takes his usual spot in Avi’s room. That leaves Jake and you to share your room.
As you and Jake get up to head to bed, the teasing starts again. “Oh, look at the lovebirds,” Sunghoon calls out, grinning mischievously.
“Don’t have too much fun in there,” Beomgyu adds with a wink.
Avi smirks. “Remember, the walls are thin. I’d appreciate it if Jake could keep his hands to himself tonight.”
Heeseung scoffs, laughing. “Jake doesn’t know what it means to keep his hands to himself.”
Jake rolls his eyes but can’t help but laugh along with everyone. “Fuck off,” he says, taking your hand as you both head to your room, the playful teasing still echoing in your ears.
Once inside your room, you close the door and turn to Jake, who’s still smiling. “That was fun,” he says, wrapping an arm around your waist.
“Yeah, it was,” you agree, leaning into him. “I’m really glad everyone’s getting along.”
Jake nods, his expression softening. “Me too. It means a lot to me.”
He steps back and strips off his shirt, revealing the well-defined muscles beneath. He climbs into your bed, his arms wide open in an inviting gesture. You slide in beside him, curling up on his chest. The warmth of his skin against yours is comforting, and you find yourself drawing little shapes on his chest with your finger. He sighs contentedly, pulling you in closer and kissing the top of your head.
“I’m so thankful for this second chance,” he whispers.
You place a soft kiss on his collarbone. “I’m happy too,” you reply, your voice barely above a whisper.
Jake waits a beat before pushing you away slightly, his expression turning serious. “I need to tell you something,” he says.
Your heart skips a beat. “What is it?”
He takes a deep breath. “The summer before you started at Northeastern, I went back home to Australia. I wanted to make amends, but I found out from my mom how hard you took it when I left. I didn’t realize how much I hurt you until then. When I heard that you didn’t get into Harvard, I felt like I had ruined everything for you. I was crushed.”
You stay silent, listening intently as he continues.
“When I came back, I started drinking and smoking. I even got into LSD. It got to a point where I would wake up, smoke a preroll, go back to bed, wake up again, smoke the remainder, then go about my day and probably smoke another five more times. I drank a lot to forget you and the pain I caused.”
You feel a lump form in your throat as tears well up in your eyes. Jake’s voice trembles slightly as he recounts his past.
“There was this party… I got so crossfaded that I passed out and was unresponsive for over twenty minutes. That was the turning point. Jay cried and begged me to stop. Said he didn’t want to see me dead. That’s why we’re so close. He even gave up drinking for a while to help me out, and Heeseung and Sunghoon gave up parties to support me. They’re like brothers to me, not just friends.”
By now, silent tears are streaming down your face. Jake gently wipes them away, his eyes filled with concern and vulnerability.
“I understand if this changes things for you,” he says softly. “But I needed to tell you.”
You shake your head, your emotions overwhelming you. Leaning in, you kiss him hard, pouring all your feelings into that kiss. When you finally pull away, you look into his eyes, your voice firm and resolute.
“It doesn’t change anything, Jake. If anything, it makes me love you more for your honesty.”
Jake’s eyes glisten with unshed tears, and he pulls you into a tight embrace. “Thank you,” he whispers.
You shift and move yourself onto his lap, straddling his waist, your knees on either side of his legs. You wrap your arms around his neck and place your lips onto his own pouty ones, kissing him slowly. Jake moves his hands to your waist, and grips them tightly before pulling away.
You pout at the loss of contact and move your head to the crook of his neck to place soft kisses there. Jake whines and grips your waist once again.
“B-baby wait.”
You sigh but pull away to look into his eyes.
“We don’t have to do anything we can just cuddle.” Jake says, rubbing slow circles onto your thigh. You shake your head.
“I want to.”
Jake stares into your eyes searching for any hesitance before asking one more time, “are you sure?”
You nod. “As long as you promise to not leave me this time.”
Jake brings a hand up to your cheek and gently caresses it. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
Jake's lips fall upon yours again, his lips moving in a frenzied fashion this time.
Instinctively, your arms wrap around his shoulders, pulling him closer into you. Jake lets out a soft growl against your lips before pulling away. Peppering kisses along your jaw, he trails down the column of your throat before nuzzling his face into the juncture of your shoulder.
"God- I've missed you," Jake whispers as he breathes in your calming scent. You place your hands in his hair threading the strands, you lazily play with the locks at the nape of his neck.
"I missed you too. A lot," you moan out as Jake begins to suckle bruises onto the tender flesh of your throat. Jake sucks in a sharp breath at the feeling of you tugging on his hair and immediately switches positions with you. He swiftly cages you between his body and the mattress before moving down to be level with your dripping pussy. You jerk at the sudden movement, your eyes widening at the sight of him.
Jake groans out as he runs his nose along the exposed flesh of your inner thigh. Your breath hitches at the sensation, Jake’s large hands slowly wrap around your thighs before he parts your legs.
Running his nose against your panties, Jake takes in a deep breath before groaning as the scent of your arousal runs through his nose. He pushes your sleep shirt further up your hips, his lips gently kissing his way up the length of your thigh. Positioned just over your hip, Jake places a tender kiss above where your bone is. Then, he bites down on the waistband of your panties before slowly sliding it down your legs.
Gripping one of your thighs, he pulls it to rest over his shoulder, exposing your pussy even more. Jake shudders as the scent of your arousal deepens. Biting his lip, Jake edges closer to your folds before tentatively licking a line: all the way from your core to your clit.
“Oh my gosh,” you groan out, your head lolling back while one of your hands shoots out to tangle into his thick hair. Hearing your low groan, Jake smirks against your pussy before repeating the action. Spikes of pleasure run up and down your spine, your eyelids fluttering as you lose yourself into the pleasure he brings upon your body.
Soft lips wrap around your clit, Jake pulls the sensitive bud into his mouth before lightly sucking on it. His ministrations cause you to gasp - the sound quickly morphing into a heavy moan when he nips your throbbing clit. Tangling your fingers further into his hair, you tug as hard as you can on his hair, trying to get him to move faster.
“J-jake.” you whine needily, desperation heavy in the high pitch of your voice.
Jake pushes two fingers into you, your body jerks at the sudden intrusion as you tug at his hair reflexively. Twisting his fingers into you, Jake pumps his digits in and out, relishing in the feel of your pulsating walls around him as he continues eating you out.
“Cumming-” you gasp out, your voice cracking under the pleasure.
“Then cum baby- cum all over my tongue. wanna taste you, ” Jake urges. The filthiness of his words, paired with the way he harshly sucks your clit, instantly has you cumming.
You whine out his name, gasping for air, you slowly come down from the high of your orgasm. Jake patiently waits for you to come back to reality.
Once you catch your breath he moves up to place a soft kiss on your awaiting lips.
“How are you feeling princess?”
You adjust your shirt to cover your lower half before responding. “Good.”
“Want to continue?”
You nod, “yes. Want to feel you inside me.”
Jake groans at your words. “Do you have a condom?”
You hum and nod your head towards your bedside drawer. “First shelf.”
Jake removes himself from you to walk towards the shelf and takes out the small foil before opening it and rolling the condom over his dick. Sighing at the feeling of finally touching himself. He gives himself a few tugs and makes sure the condom is secured before walking back to you.
Jake’s cock is ready, heavy against his palm as he takes a hold of the base and spreads your legs apart. His chest is littered with beads of sweat. “Your pussy looks so fucking good.” He remarks, letting the pink tip of his dick rub against your wet folds. You both moan at the sensation.
With one more rub of his head, he lines himself against your entrance and slowly pushes his hips forward. You think you could come instantly again.
“Fuck.” You let out as you place a hand on his chest, letting the feel of his cock overtake your entire body. He stops when he’s reached the hilt, careful to rock his hips out before slamming them back into you. You can’t help but cry his name out.
“I won’t last long.” Jake whimpers, you move the hand on his chest to the back of his neck as you push his head forward to kiss you. He follows suit, beginning a rhythmic pace of his hips as you lose yourself further and further into him.
Jake kisses you feverishly, hot and wet against your mouth as he continues to rock in and out of you. His breaths labored, filthy words and curses escaping him as you clench around him with each thrust.
“Ngh- not gonna last long either!” You’re losing your mind, already close to a second orgasm. You know you’re going to come again soon.
Jake takes your legs and places your ankles on his shoulder, plummeting into you with a force so delicious, you’re about to go delirious
“Fuck, turn around for me.” You do as requested, turning to your stomach. Jake pulls your ass up towards him and lines himself up once again. Without hesitation this time, he pushes into you.
“Oh my gosh,” Jake is moaning out. He grabs a handful of your ass, using it as support while he rams into you with no plans of slowing down. The room is filled with the sound of your skin slapping and your shared moans. You have no doubt everyone can hear the two of you.
Jake reaches forward immediately gravitating towards your clit and rubs to bring you over the edge.
It doesn’t take much longer before your heels are digging into the mattress and you’re cumming. You feel Jake still behind you as he releases into the condom.
You lay still, letting your cum dribble out of you as Jake pulls out.
“Was that okay?” Jake asks, leaning forward to kiss your shoulder. You nod in reassurance, twisting your head around so he can kiss your lips.
“More than okay.”

The morning light filters softly through the blinds as you slide out of Jake’s arms, careful not to wake him. You dress quickly and head to the kitchen, intent on starting breakfast for your guests. To your surprise, you find Jay already there, rummaging through the ingredients and setting up to make breakfast.
“Jay?” you say, taken aback but not entirely surprised. He looks up and gives you a sheepish smile.
“Hey,” he replies, cracking an egg into a bowl. “Figured I’d get a head start.”
You smile and move to help him, grabbing a knife and starting to cut up some fruit. As you chop strawberries, the silence between you feels companionable. Finally, you muster the courage to speak up. “Thank you.”
Jay glances up from the omelette he’s making, his brow furrowing in confusion. “For what?”
You put down the knife and turn to face him fully. “Thank you for taking care of Jake when I couldn’t.”
Jay’s expression softens, and he shakes his head. “You don’t need to thank me. I love Jake. He’s like a brother to me.”
You nod, appreciating his sincerity. You both return to your tasks, the kitchen filled with the sound of sizzling and chopping. After a moment, Jay speaks up again.
“Are you confident in your decision to be with Jake?” he asks gently.
You hesitate, your hands pausing mid-chop. Jay notices and quickly adds, “I won’t judge you, whatever your answer is.”
You take a deep breath, considering your words carefully. “I’m happy to finally have the boy I’ve always loved,” you begin slowly. “But sometimes… sometimes I find myself thinking about Jungwon and what could have been.”
Jay nods, understanding in his eyes. “I get it. But you need to decide who you want to be with. Jake is fully invested in you, and I’d hate to see him destroyed if you drag this out only to decide you want Jungwon in the end.”
His words hit hard, and you can’t help but fall silent, lost in thought. The reality of your situation settles heavily on your shoulders. You return to chopping strawberries, your mind racing.
Jay reaches over and places a hand on your shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “Whatever you decide, just be honest with yourself and with them. That’s all anyone can ask.”
You nod, grateful for his words and his support. As the two of you finish preparing breakfast, you can’t shake the feeling of uncertainty that lingers. With the fruit salad complete and the omelettes almost ready, you begin to bring the food out. As you enter the living room, Heeseung rises and shakes awake Sunghoom so they can take their seat on the floor as you bring in plates of food.
One by one, everyone makes their way to the living room, the aroma of breakfast drawing them in. Avi and Beomgyu are next, followed by Jay, who gives you a reassuring nod. Jake is the last to emerge, his hair tousled and a sleepy smile on his face. He takes a seat beside you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.
The room falls into a comfortable silence as everyone starts to eat. But it doesn’t last long.
Beomgyu is the first to break the silence. “You two are disgusting,” he says, pointing his fork at you and Jake. “Do you know everyone heard you last night?”
Avi groans, covering her ears dramatically. “My poor ears!”
Heeseung and Sunghoon join in, laughing and shaking their heads. “Seriously, guys,” Sunghoon says, rolling his eyes. “Couldn’t you have kept it down a bit?”
You hide your face in Jake’s chest, your cheeks burning with embarrassment. Jake chuckles, rubbing your back soothingly. “Hey, come on,” he says, defending the two of you. “We weren’t that loud.”
Avi rolls her eyes playfully. “Sure, Jake. Whatever helps you sleep at night.”
Heeseung smirks before letting the loudest moan rip from his throat. “fuck jake…i’m not gonna last long.” He exclaims, his voice exaggerated and mocking.
Mortified, you cover your face with your hands, wishing the ground would swallow you up. “Heeseung, stop!” Jake says, trying to suppress his own laughter. “Seriously, guys, cut it out.”
But the rest of them join in, their laughter filling the room. Avi tries to hold back her giggles as she adds, “I swear, I thought you were filming a movie in there.”
Beomgyu grins, leaning into Sunghoon as they both mimic exaggerated kissing noises. “Oh, Jake! Oh, yes!” Beomgyu echoes, clutching his sides in laughter.
You groan, burying your face even deeper into Jake’s chest. “I can’t believe this,” you mumble, your voice muffled.
Jake’s arm tightens around you protectively. “Alright, alright, enough,” he says, trying to sound serious but failing to hide his amusement.
Heeseung, still giggling, wipes a tear from his eye. “Sorry, we couldn’t resist. But seriously, you guys are cute together.”
You peek out from behind your hands, your face still flushed. “Thanks, I guess,” you mutter, trying to salvage some dignity.
Jake kisses the top of your head, whispering, “Don’t worry about them. They’re just jealous.”
Beomgyu scoffs, “jealous? Please I can pull anyone.”
Avi snorts. “And yet you’re still bitchless.”

November 30th
It’s now Saturday and you're out buying groceries, determined to do a dorm refresh. It’s been a busy few days, and you’re looking forward to a quiet evening to reorganize your space and settle into some semblance of normalcy before classes start back up. With bags in hand, you make your way back to your dorm, already planning out how you’ll spend the rest of the day.
As you approach your door, you notice a bouquet of peonies resting against the frame. You pause, staring at the flowers. You know they’re from Jake. He used to give you peonies on your dates back in Australia, a sweet gesture that always made you smile. But now, they serve as a cutting reminder of how much has changed since Jake has been back in your life. You’ve hated peonies ever since he left.
Lost in your thoughts, you don’t notice Jungwon coming in through the hallway with his suitcase behind him. He stops when he sees the flowers and then looks up at you.
“I would’ve known to get you lilies,” he comments, his voice cutting through your reverie. “Unlike Jake.”
You’re pulled out of your thoughts and make eye contact with Jungwon. It’s silent for a second as you take him in, noting the travel weariness in his eyes.
“How was Korea?” you ask tentatively.
He’s vague and blunt with his answer. “Fine.”
You shift on your feet, feeling the weight of the unspoken tension between you. “Did you have a good Chuseok?”
Jungwon nods, then looks at the peonies again before his gaze returns to you. “Jake doesn’t know anything about you,” he says, his tone sharp.
Before you can respond, he sidesteps you and enters his dorm, leaving you alone with your thoughts. You stare after him, the hurt in his words lingering in the air. Slowly, you bend down to pick up the bouquet. Carrying the peonies inside your dorm, you can’t help but think about how much has changed and how complicated everything has become. You place the flowers on the counter, staring at them for a moment before you begin unpacking your groceries.
Determined to keep yourself preoccupied, you dive into cleaning the entire dorm. You scrub the floors, dust the shelves, and organize every corner until everything is spotless and in perfect order. The physical activity helps clear your mind, but the lingering thoughts and feelings remain just below the surface.
As you finish wiping down the kitchen counter, your phone buzzes with a text. It’s from Avi.
[November 30th, 7:53 PM]
[avi]: hey, can you meet me at snell? i forgot my key :p
[you]: yeah what room number?
[avi]: 0119
Grabbing your keys, you head for the door. Just as you’re about to leave, another text comes in. This time, it’s from Jake.
[November 30th, 7:55 PM]
[jake]: did you receive my gift? :D
You pause, looking back at the peonies on the counter. After a moment of contemplation, you walk over to them, pick them up, and dump them in the trash. You text Jake back.
[November 30th, 7:57 PM]
[you]: yes, they’re beautiful. thank you.
With that, you leave your dorm, locking the door behind you. As you make your way to the classroom to meet Avi, you try to push the confusion and hurt to the back of your mind.
When you arrive, Avi is waiting by the door, looking relieved to see you. “Thank you so much for coming. I can’t believe I forgot my key.”
“It’s no problem,” you reply, handing her the spare key you’ve brought along.
Avi takes the key but doesn't move to grab her things right away. Instead, she looks at you with an expression of concern. “Hey, I’m really sorry... for everything. I love you, you know that, right?”
You furrow your brow in confusion. “Of course I know that. Why are you saying this now?”
Before you can react, Avi gives you a gentle but firm shove, pushing you into the classroom. The door slams shut behind you, and you hear the unmistakable sound of it being locked. You whirl around, banging on the door. “Avi! What the hell?”
From the other side of the door, you hear Avi’s voice, firm and resolute. “You’re not allowed to leave until you make amends with Jungwon.”
“What?” you shout, turning back to face the room. Your eyes land on Jungwon, who is sitting at one of the desks, lazily twirling a pencil between his fingers. The sight of him only heightens your agitation.
You bang on the door again. “Avi, let me out! This isn’t funny.”
Beomgyu’s face appears in the small window of the door. “No can do. We’re tired of you talking about how much you miss Jungwon and tired of him asking about you. You two need to hurry up and make up.”
The weight of their words sinks in as you slowly turn back to Jungwon, who has now stopped playing with the pencil and is watching you with a guarded expression. The tension in the room is palpable, and for a moment, neither of you speaks.
Finally, you break the silence. “Jungwon, this is ridiculous. We don’t have to do this.”
Jungwon raises an eyebrow. “Do you really think they’ll let us out if we don’t?”
You take a deep breath, trying to calm your racing heart. “I’m sorry, okay? For everything. I know I hurt you, and I’m really, really sorry.”
Jungwon’s expression remains neutral, but his eyes reveal the hurt and anger he still feels. “It’s not that simple.”
“I know,” you say softly, taking a tentative step towards him. “I’ve been a terrible friend. I got caught up in everything with Jake and neglected the people who matter most to me. I hate that I did that to you.”
Jungwon looks down at the pencil in his hand, spinning it slowly. “It’s more than that. You led me on and had me think we could ever be something.”
Your heart sinks at his words. “Jungwon, I never meant to lead you on. I didn’t realize how you felt until it was too late.”
He scoffs, finally looking up at you. “How could you not realize? I was always there for you, always trying to show you how much I cared. But you were too wrapped up in yourself to see it.”
You feel a flare of defensiveness rise within you. “Jungwon, I told you from the start that I didn’t do relationships. You knew that about me.”
Jungwon’s eyes narrow. “Then what was the point in telling me at the party you were ready to move on? If you knew you still didn’t want to date, why give me the false hope?”
You falter, his words hitting harder than you expected. “I…I thought I was ready.”
He shakes his head, frustration evident. “But you weren’t. And in the process, you played with my feelings. Do you know how confusing and hurtful that is?”
“I’m sorry, Jungwon,” you say, your voice shaking. “I didn’t mean to give you false hope. I genuinely meant what I said at the party! I wasn’t expecting Jake to come back into my life.”
Jungwon looks at you, his expression hard to read. “So, what now? You just expect me to forget everything and be okay with being your second choice?”
You shake your head vehemently. “No, that’s not what I’m saying. I just want you to understand that I was confused. I never meant to hurt you, Jungwon. I care about you so much.”
“Caring about someone isn’t enough,” he says quietly, his voice tinged with sadness.
A heavy silence settles between you, thick with unresolved tension. Jungwon breaks it with a question that slices through the air. “Why Jake?”
You look up, startled. “What do you mean?”
“He doesn’t know you like I do,” Jungwon continues, his voice raw. “You’re not the same girl he grew up with. You’ve changed, and he hasn’t been here to see that.”
You open your mouth, but no words come out. Finally, you manage to say, “he’s my first love.”
“That doesn’t mean he has to be your only love,” Jungwon counters, taking a step closer. His eyes bore into yours, filled with an intensity that makes your heart race.
Before you can respond, he steps even closer, his breath warm against your skin. He’s so close you can feel the heat radiating off him. For a moment, it feels like he’s about to kiss you, but then your phone rings, breaking the moment.
You glance at the screen: it’s Jake. Jungwon’s eyes flicker to the phone and back to you, pleading. “Don’t answer it.”
You hesitate but then silence the call, your heart pounding in your chest. Jungwon’s expression softens, and he reaches up to caress your cheek. “You deserve someone who knows you inside and out. Someone who’s been there through everything. I’m that someone.”
His words hang in the air, and before you can process them, he leans in and kisses you. It’s gentle at first, a question rather than a demand. You respond, your arms wrapping around his neck as the kiss deepens, your emotions swirling together in a mix of confusion, guilt, and longing.
When you finally pull away, you’re both breathless. The weight of what just happened settles over you. Jungwon searches your eyes, his thumb still tracing your cheek. “I love you,” he whispers. “I’ve always loved you.”
You stand there, your heart torn between the familiarity of your past and the promise of your future. The sound of your phone vibrating with another call from Jake is a distant echo as you and Jungwon stare at each other, caught in a moment that feels like it could change everything.
“We shouldn’t have done that,” you say, your voice shaking.
Jungwon shrugs, his eyes unwavering. “I don’t feel bad about it.”
You swallow hard, the weight of his words settling over you. “Jungwon, this isn’t fair. I’m so confused right now.”
He takes a deep breath, his gaze softening. “I’m serious about you. I’ve always been. I want you to give us a chance.”
His words hang in the air, heavy with meaning. You’re once again faced with the ultimatum: Jake or Jungwon. The pressure feels unbearable, your heart torn in two directions. Before you can respond, there’s a loud knock on the door.
“Have you two made up yet?” Beomgyu’s voice calls from the other side, filled with impatience.
You and Jungwon exchange a look, the weight of the unspoken words between you. You shake your head, unable to bring yourself to lie. But Jungwon pulls away from you and steps forward, his hand brushing against yours as he replies, “Yeah, we’ve made up.”
The door opens, and Avi and Beomgyu peer in, looking between the two of you. Jungwon gives you one last look, longing swimming in his eyes, before he steps past them and leaves the room.
Your phone starts ringing again, Jake’s name flashing on the screen. You stare at it, the decision you need to make feeling more daunting than ever. As the door closes behind Jungwon, you’re left standing there, the sound of the phone’s persistent ring echoing in the silence.
Avi steps forward, concern etched on her face. “How do you feel? How did things go?”
You take a deep breath. “We... we kissed.”
Both Avi and Beomgyu’s eyes widen in shock. “You what?” Avi exclaims, her voice a mixture of surprise and concern.
Beomgyu, recovering first, gives you a thoughtful look. “Are you going to tell Jake?”
Avi cuts in, “You don’t have to.”
Beomgyu raises a brow at her. “Seriously,”
Avi shrugs, “what? I support women’s right and wrongs.”
You hesitate, the previous question hanging heavy in the air. “I... I don’t know what I’m going to do,” you admit. “Everything’s so complicated.”
Beomgyu sighs, running a hand through his hair. “Look, as much as I've grown to like Jake, I’ve always thought Jungwon was the right one for you. He understands you in a way Jake never will.”
Avi elbows him lightly, shooting him a warning look. “Beomgyu, that’s not helping.” She turns to you, her eyes soft with sympathy. “But... I kind of agree. You and Jungwon just…click.”
You look between your two friends, feeling more conflicted than ever. “I don’t know what to do,” you whisper, your voice breaking. “I care about both of them, but...”
Avi steps closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “Take your time. You don’t have to decide right now. Just...think about what makes you happiest, what feels right in your heart.”
You take a deep breath, trying to steady the whirlwind of emotions inside you. “I just don’t want to hurt anyone.”
Avi looks at you with understanding. “Sometimes, no matter what you choose, someone might get hurt.”
Your phone rings again, cutting through the tense silence. Beomgyu glances at the screen and then at you. “It’s Jake. You should answer.”
Hesitant, you pick up the call. “Hey, Jake.”
“Hi baby!,” he says, his voice filled with concern. “Are you okay? You sounded off earlier.”
“I’m fine,” you lie, trying to keep your voice steady. “Just busy studying.”
He hums, seemingly convinced. “Okay. Are you free for a date tomorrow?”
A twinge of guilt strikes you, but you push it aside. “Sure, I’d love that.”
You exchange a few more pleasantries before hanging up. Once you turn off your phone, Avi immediately asks, “What was that about?”
You sigh, feeling the weight of the situation. “Jake wants to go on a date tomorrow.”
Avi nods thoughtfully. “Remember, you don’t have to tell Jake anything until you’re ready.”
Beomgyu raises an eyebrow at her. “Again, seriously?”
Avi shrugs. “What? Women’s rights and wrongs, remember?”
You can’t help but smile a little at her words, but the smile quickly fades. “I don’t know what I’ll do,” you admit quietly.
Beomgyu comfortingly pats your back, more serious now. “Being upfront now might be hard, but it’ll save a lot of heartache later on.”
Avi then adds, “Or you could try being single for a bit. I promise it’s not all that bad.”
The three of you laugh, the tension easing slightly. Avi’s joke, though lighthearted, seems to resonate with all of you.
“Yeah, maybe I’ll take that under consideration,” you say, the weight on your shoulders feeling a bit lighter.
Beomgyu grins. “Hey, it’s always an option. Plus, more time for group hangouts.”
Avi nods enthusiastically. “Exactly! We could use more friend time without any of the boy drama.”
You chuckle, appreciating their attempts to cheer you up. “Thanks, guys. I really needed this.”
“Anytime,” Avi says, linking her arm with yours. “Now, let’s get back to the dorm. We’ve got snacks and a Netflix queue waiting for us.”
Beomgyu wraps an arm around both of you, guiding you back. “And maybe some ice cream? I feel like this conversation calls for ice cream.”
You laugh again, feeling grateful for your friends.

“Do you have a lot of finals coming up?” Jake asks, trying to keep the conversation light.
The two of you are currently at Naksan, an expensive new KBBQ restaurant that opened up near your campus. Jake had wanted to take you out sightseeing but given the cold Boston weather the two of you couldn’t stay out long so he decided what better way to warm up than sizzling hot meat.
The atmosphere is lively, filled with the sizzle of meat on grills and the hum of conversation. Jake tries to make small talk, you’ve been out of it all day lost in your head. His eyes search your face for any hint of what’s bothering you.
You shake your head slightly, offering a small smile. “No, only a few. Nothing too overwhelming.”
He nods, turning the meat on the grill. “What about winter break? Do you have any plans?”
You shrug, avoiding his gaze. “Not sure yet. I’m not going back to Australia because the break isn’t that long.”
Jake’s face lights up a bit. “Jay and Sunghoon were talking about renting a cabin over the break. They thought it would be fun if you and your friends joined us.”
“That sounds fun,” you reply half-heartedly. “I’m sure Avi and Beomgyu would be down for that.”
Jake seems to notice your lack of enthusiasm but presses on. “What about inviting Jungwon too? The more, the merrier, right?”
You don’t respond, knowing that Jungwon would never agree to be around Jake. The silence between you grows heavy, the unspoken words hanging in the air.
Jake places some grilled meat on your plate, watching you closely. “Are you okay?” he asks, concern evident in his voice.
Instead of answering, you look up at him and ask, “What’s my favorite color?”
Jake looks confident but confused as he answers, “Black.”
You shake your head. “That was my favorite color two years ago because it’s all you would ever wear. It’s pink now.”
Jake nods, trying to hide his surprise. “Okay, I’ll make a mental note of that.”
He places more meat on the grill, but you’re not done. “What are my hobbies?” you ask.
Jake is at a loss, hesitating before guessing, “Baking?”
You shake your head again. “Photography. Crochet. Painting. All things I started doing once you left to get my life back on track because all I ever knew was you. I didn’t have an identity when you were around. I did it so I could forget you.”
Jake clenches the tongs tighter, his jaw setting as he places new meat on the grill. “What is this about?” he asks, his voice strained.
You look down at your plate, feeling the weight of the conversation. “A lot has changed since you’ve been in my life. I’m starting to realize that maybe I need to figure out who I am without you.”
Jake looks at you, confusion and frustration etched on his face. “What are you talking about? I’m still the same Jake you’ve known since we were kids.”
You shake your head firmly but gently. “No. You’re not. And there’s nothing wrong with that, but I think we’ve been pretending that nothing has changed when everything has changed.”
Jake’s agitation grows. “What are you trying to get at?”
You try to calm him down, your voice softening. “Maybe we rushed things? Maybe we needed time to actually get to know each other again before jumping into a relationship.”
“Where is this coming from?” Jake demands, his voice rising.
Taking a deep breath, you meet his gaze. “I finally talked to Jungwon. He helped me realize just how much I’ve changed.” You avoid mentioning the kiss, knowing it would only escalate things.
Jake’s anger flares. “This is our relationship, not ours plus Jungwon’s. Why are you letting him get in between what we have.”
A light scoff escapes your lips. “Within the past two weeks, I’ve been slipping into old habits. I’ve considered transferring schools for your sake and sobriety. I picked you over Jungwon without any explanation. Every decision I’ve made since you came back revolves around you in some way.”
Jake, absolutely livid, leans forward, his eyes burning with anger. “I never asked you to do any of that. It’s not my fault you have a savior complex.”
His words cut deep, and the air between you becomes thick with tension, the restaurant's noise fading into the background. Your anger simmers beneath the surface, and when Jake challenges you with his accusation, you can't hold back.
“You’ve got to be kidding me?” Your voice rises, laced with incredulity and hurt. “Savior complex? I’ve only ever loved and supported you!”
Jake’s jaw tightens, his frustration evident. “No, you’ve only ever tried to fix me! I don’t need to be fixed! Spoiler alert, not everyone can be as perfect as you, ____!”
His words hit you like a blow, but you refuse to back down. “I’m not perfect, Jake. I never claimed to be. But if you can’t see how much I’ve tried to make this work, then maybe we shouldn’t be together.”
Jake’s expression hardens, his voice low and cutting. “So, what now? You’re just going to walk away?”
“Why are we even together?” Your voice trembles with anger and betrayal.
You lock eyes with Jake, the heat of your emotions mirrored in his gaze. The silence between you is heavy with unspoken truths and shattered illusions. With a surge of indignation, you push back from the table, your chair scraping loudly against the floor.
“I can’t believe I fell for your lies again.” The words spill from your lips, each one dripping with bitterness and disappointment.
Without another glance at Jake, you turn and walk away, leaving him sitting there, his anger and confusion swirling around him like a storm. The weight of your decision hangs heavy on your shoulders, but deep down, you know it’s the right one.
Outside the restaurant, the cold air hits you sharply, intensifying the pain in your chest. You navigate the streets with blurred vision, tears streaming down your face until you find yourself standing outside Jungwon's door. You hesitate for a moment, but the need for comfort outweighs any doubts.
When Jungwon opens the door, his confusion is evident in his sleep-ruffled appearance. His messy hair and casual attire contrast sharply with the intensity in his eyes as he takes in your tear-streaked face. Without a word, he steps aside, allowing you to enter.
You don't hesitate this time. You throw yourself into his arms, seeking comfort in his embrace. Jungwon holds you gently, his hands soothing circles on your back. "What's wrong?" he asks softly, concern lacing his voice.
Between sobs, you manage to recount the disastrous dinner with Jake, the accusations, and the painful realization that your relationship with him might have been built on illusions. Jungwon listens in silence, his expression a mix of understanding and restrained frustration.
"H-he said I have a savior complex! Can you believe that!?"
Jungwon stares at you blankly as you rage on.
"I love you too much to stand here and listen to you cry about Jake," He finally says, his voice tinged with agitation. "I warned you, told you to decide, and yet you ran into his arms anyway. Now he's broken your heart yet again."
You sniffle, clinging to him desperately. His words are like a bitter pill, hard to swallow but painfully true. "I refuse to be the person you come to pick up the broken pieces of your heart every time you let someone else break it," Jungwon continues, his voice firm but pained. "I want to be the one who holds your heart, who gets to love you and treat you right."
Your heart sinks at his words, realization settling in like a heavy weight. "Jungwon, please," you plead, your voice shaky. Not even sure yourself what it is you’re begging for.
He pulls away gently, his eyes searching yours. "I can't subject myself to standing here and listening to you go on about another man," he says softly. "For my own sake, I need you to leave."
Shock courses through you, leaving you speechless. You try to protest, to explain, but Jungwon remains resolute. "Don't come back until you really know what you want," he says firmly. "Otherwise, leave me alone."
With those words ringing in your ears, you stand there, grappling with the magnitude of his decision and your own emotions. Reluctantly, you turn away, leaving Jungwon behind, the ache in your chest now compounded by regret and uncertainty.
As you walk back to your dorm, the weight of everything crashes down on you. It’s not just the fight with Jake or Jungwon's firm stance; it’s the realization of how selfish you’ve been, stringing Jungwon along and using him as your emotional crutch. He’s always been there, loving you without any conditions, and you’ve taken that for granted.
Each step feels heavier than the last, the cold hallway air biting at your skin as you replay Jungwon’s words in your mind. You’ve leaned on him for so long, taking his unconditional support and affection as a given. He was your safe haven, the one person you could always turn to without fear of judgment. But in doing so, you’ve hurt him deeply, using his love as a safety net without offering the same in return.
When you finally close the door to your dorm, the tears you’ve been holding back flood out, and you collapse against the door, your sobs echoing in the empty space. The full weight of your actions, the hurt you’ve caused, and the pain you’ve inflicted on someone who means so much to you crashes down, leaving you feeling raw and exposed.
The sound of your anguish draws Avi out of her room, and she rushes to your side, her face etched with worry. “What happened?” she asks softly, kneeling beside you and wrapping an arm around your shoulders.
You struggle to get the words out, your voice broken by sobs. “I’ve been such a horrible person,” you cry, the realization choking you. “I’ve been using Jungwon, leading him on while I figured out my feelings for Jake. I’ve been so unfair to him.”
Avi sighs, her hand rubbing soothing circles on your back. “At least you’re self-aware?” she says quietly, her words both a comfort and a sting. “Maybe for now you need to learn how to be comfortable with being alone.”
You nod through your tears, the truth of her words settling deep within you. “I’ve been so selfish,” you whisper. “He’s always been there for me, and I’ve taken him for granted. I never realized how much I was hurting him.”
Avi’s eyes are filled with sympathy, but she doesn’t sugarcoat the reality. “You need to give him space and time to heal,” she says. “And you need to figure out who you are and what you really want without any guys in the picture. You can’t keep bouncing between Jake and Jungwon. It’s not fair to either of them, and it’s not fair to yourself.”
You sniff, wiping at your tears, the weight of her words pressing down on you. “I know,” you admit. “I just… I don’t know how to start.”
Avi pulls you into a tighter hug, her voice gentle but firm. “You start by letting Jungwon go and focusing on yourself. You need to stop using him as a crutch and start dealing with your feelings head-on.”
You take a deep breath, trying to steady your emotions. For Jungwon’s sake, and for your own, you need to let go. As you sit there, leaning against the door with Avi by your side, you resolve to take the first step. It’s time to stop running from your feelings and face the consequences of your actions. It’s time to let Jungwon heal and to finally figure out who you are without relying on anyone else.

A week has come to pass and it's now December 8th. The days have blurred together as you've submerged yourself in studying for finals, avoiding any interactions with Beomgyu and Avi. You’re up before the sun, attending classes, and then disappearing into the library until the dead of night. Jake’s reached out a few times, begging to see you and apologies for how he acted but they all remain unanswered. You don't know how to approach that conversation. Jungwon, on the other hand, hasn’t texted at all, and that silence cuts deeper than you’d care to admit.
It's 5 a.m., and you're trying to sneak out to the library yet again, hoping to escape unnoticed. But as you step into the living room, you’re startled to find Avi sitting on the couch, waiting for you.
“Where do you think you’re going?” she asks, her voice cutting through the early morning silence.
You freeze, caught off guard. It’s almost comical, being in trouble for studying too much. But Avi’s expression tells you this is no joke.
“Avi, I... I was just going to the library,” you stammer, clutching your books tighter.
Avi stands, her eyes never leaving yours. “I’ve been nothing but patient with you, giving you space and time to figure things out. But it’s clear that you’re just running away from everything.”
“Avi, I’m just trying to focus on my finals,” you protest weakly.
She shakes her head, her frustration evident. “Bullshit, you’re using your finals as an excuse to avoid dealing with your problems. I’m sick of you being so selfish.”
Her words sting, but you know she’s right. You’ve been hiding, avoiding the difficult conversations you need to have.
“All eight of us are going on the ski trip for winter break next week,” Avi continues, her tone firm. “And you need to get yourself together before then. There won’t be peace or fun if nearly half the house is beefing.”
You look at her in shock. “Jungwon agreed to go?”
“Yes,” Avi confirms, her gaze unwavering. “But that doesn’t mean he’s forgiven you. You need to talk to him, and to Jake. It’s clear you care for both of them, but you’ve handled this terribly. They’re both humans with real emotions, and it’s not fair to keep them in the dark.”
You swallow hard, the guilt washing over you. “I understand.”
“Do you?” Avi presses, her eyes piercing. “Because if you did, you wouldn’t be running away to the library every chance you get. You need to do better. For their sake and for yours.”
Tears well up in your eyes, the weight of her words sinking in. “I’m sorry, Avi. I just... I don’t know how to fix this.”
Avi’s expression softens slightly, but her resolve remains. “You start by being honest with them, and with yourself. Talk to Jake, talk to Jungwon. Tell them how you feel, and let them decide what they want to do. You can’t control their reactions, but you can at least give them the truth.”
You nod, wiping away a tear. “Okay. I’ll do it.”
Avi takes a step closer, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. “I love you, but you need to do better. This isn’t just about you. It’s about them, too. They deserve honesty.”
“I know,” you whisper, your voice breaking.
Avi pulls you into a hug, her voice gentle but firm. “You’re going to get through this, but you need to stop running. Don’t put it off any longer.”
She pulls back, looking at you with a mixture of love and teasing. “I can’t believe you’ve made me actually like Jake,” she says with a mock grimace. “Seriously, you’ve managed to make me sympathize with that guy. It’s almost impressive.”
You let out a shaky laugh, the tension easing a bit. “I guess that’s one way to measure my impact.”
Avi smiles, giving you a playful nudge. “I’m not that angry with you, you know. Just frustrated because I know you’re capable of handling this better.”
“Thanks, Avi,” you say, your voice filled with gratitude. “I really appreciate you looking out for me.”
“Always,” she replies, her tone softening. “Now, go get some sleep, I know you’re miserable with all the studying you’ve been doing.”
You both laugh before you nod, “I will.”
Avi gives you one last encouraging squeeze before retreating back to her room. As she disappears behind her door, you stand there for a moment, thinking of what to do.
With a deep breath, you head back to your room and pull out your phone.
[December 8th, 5:27 AM]
[you]: are you free later today to talk?
Once the message is sent you toss your phone aside and get back under your covers letting the warm embrace of sleep take you once more.

knock ! knock
You look up from your seated position on the couch once your mind registers the knocks on your front door. You walk towards the door to let them in. You do a once over in the mirror and flatten out any wrinkles in your dress before opening the door.
Jake stands there, looking slightly awkward, hands shoved into his pockets. His eyes meet yours with a mix of hesitation and what seems to be acceptance.
“Hey,” he says softly.
“Hey,” you reply, stepping aside to let him in.
Jake takes a seat on the couch and looks around the room, his eyes scanning every corner as if searching for something familiar. “Are we alone?” he asks, his voice almost a whisper.
You nod. “Yeah, Avi is out hanging with Beomgyu.”
Jake nods, playing with his fingers, a nervous habit you recognize. Your fingers itch to hold his hand. The silence between you is thick, almost suffocating. Both of you open your mouths at the same time, starting to speak before stopping and laughing awkwardly.
“You go first,” you encourage, offering him a small, reassuring smile.
Jake takes a deep breath. “I’m really sorry for how I reacted the other day,” he begins, his voice sincere. “I didn’t handle it well, and I shouldn’t have lashed out at you. You were bringing up genuine concerns in our relationship, and I got defensive.”
You nod, listening intently as he continues.
“It stung, hearing about Jungwon. It felt like he took my spot in your life while I was gone. But you’re right—we have changed. We’re not the same people we were back then.”
You bite your lip, feeling the weight of his words. When he finishes, you take a deep breath and gather the courage to say what you need to. “Jake, I kissed Jungwon.”
Jake looks taken aback, but there’s no anger in his eyes, just a sadness that seems to have been lingering for a while. He nods slowly, almost as if he expected it. “What now?” he asks, his voice soft.
You sigh, feeling a lump form in your throat. “I appreciate your apology, and I’m sorry for kissing Jungwon. But I think it’s best if we end things here.”
Jake swallows hard at your words but he doesn’t say anything back, he lets you continue.
“A part of my heart will always belong to you, and I’ll always love you, but we’re different people now. It was naive of us to think we could just jump into a relationship without taking the time to get to know each other again, without being friends first.”
Jake’s eyes fill with tears, and despite his efforts to hide them, a few escape down his cheeks. “I understand,” he says, his voice trembling. “I’ll always love you, too. If anything changes for you, I’ll always be here.”
You’re both crying now, the emotional weight of the moment almost too much to bear. You stand up, and he follows suit, wrapping you in a tight hug. The embrace is bittersweet, filled with love and loss.
After a few moments, you pull back slightly, looking into his eyes. “Don’t be a stranger, okay? I’d still love to be friends.”
Jake nods and smiles, his tears still flowing. “Me too.”
You see him out, giving him one last hug in the hallway. As he rounds the corner, Jungwon comes into view. He sees you wiping away your tears as Jake sniffs and clears his throat before leaving. Jungwon pauses, watching the exchange.
You manage a gentle smile at Jungwon. “Would you like to come in?” you ask softly.
Jungwon stares at you for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then he nods, following you back into your room. The silence is heavy, but it’s not the same as it was with Jake. This silence almost feels…hopeful? Maybe, just maybe, there’s a chance for something different between you.
As you close the door behind you both, Jungwon stands awkwardly in the center of your room, unsure of what to do or say. “Are you okay?” he asks finally, his voice gentle.
You manage a smile, though tears still linger in your eyes. “I’m okay,” you assure him softly. “Just... processing everything.”
You motion for him to take a seat on the couch while you step into your room to grab something. You return with a small gift bag, decorated with a simple blue ribbon. “Here,” you say quietly, handing it to him.
Jungwon looks down at the bag, then up at you, confusion flickering across his face. “What’s this?” he asks, his voice filled with curiosity.
You take a deep breath, meeting his gaze. “It’s not much,” you start, your voice catching slightly. “But I wanted to give you something. A start towards... a new beginning.”
He cautiously opens the bag and peers inside, finding cherry gummies, old Polaroids of the two of you from happier times, a sheep-shaped keychain, a gift card to Tatte, and other small trinkets that hold significance. Jungwon lifts the Polaroids, his eyes flickering over the captured moments of laughter and shared adventures.
“What’s all this for?” he asks softly, still trying to process your sudden gesture of affection.
You swallow, gathering your thoughts. “I know it’s not enough to fix everything I’ve done,” you begin, your voice earnest. “But each of these... they represent moments from our friendship that I took for granted. The cherry gummies for the late-night talks and movie nights, the Polaroids for the memories we shared, the keychain because you’re like a little sheep, and I have a matching one on my keys...”
Jungwon listens quietly, his expression unreadable.
“The gift card,” you continue, “is my way of paying forward all those times you woke up at the crack of dawn to get me croissants from the French bakery. I never properly thanked you for that.”
He finally looks up at you, his eyes searching yours. There’s a mix of emotions in his gaze—confusion, surprise, and perhaps a hint of cautious hope.
You take a deep breath, your heart pounding in your chest. “Jungwon, I’ve been blind,” you confess, your voice trembling slightly. “I had something amazing right in front of me, and I... I blew it because I was stuck in my past. I took advantage of your kindness, made you a second choice instead of treating you like you deserved.”
Jungwon remains silent, processing your words.
“You were the one who loved me without conditions,” you continue, your voice cracking with emotion. “You were patient with me, showed me what it’s like to be loved deeply by someone who’s willing to brave the pain of not having that love returned.”
Still, Jungwon says nothing, but he listens intently, his expression softening slightly.
“I ended things with Jake,” you admit, a small smile tugging at your lips through the tears. “I see now that we were never meant to be anything more than each other’s first love.”
Jungwon’s eyes widen in surprise at your revelation. “You... let Jake go?” he asks softly, as if needing confirmation.
You nod, your smile widening just a fraction. “It was time,” you say with a shrug, though the decision still weighs heavily on your heart.
He takes a moment to absorb this new piece of information before speaking again. “And what about us?” he asks quietly, his voice tinged with vulnerability.
You take a step closer to him, closing the distance between you. “If you’re still willing,” you begin, your voice steady despite the nerves fluttering in your stomach, “I would love to try again. To take things slow, as friends, while I figure out who I am and what I want. And when we’re both ready, maybe... we can try our hand at dating.”
Jungwon stares at you, his expression unreadable for a moment. Then, slowly, a small smile spreads across his face—the kind of smile that reaches his eyes and warms your heart.
“I’d like that,” he finally says, his voice filled with sincerity.
You exhale a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, relief flooding through you. “Thank you,” you whisper, feeling a weight lift off your shoulders.
Jungwon steps forward, wrapping you in a warm embrace. You melt into his arms, feeling a sense of homecoming you hadn’t realized you’d been missing.
“I’m sorry, Jungwon,” you say again, this time from the bottom of your heart. “I’ve been such a shitty friend. Selfish. But I want to do better. I want to make things right.”
He pulls back slightly to look at you, his gaze tender. “You already are,” he says softly. “Let’s take it slow. Figure things out together.”
You nod, tears of relief and happiness streaming down your cheeks. For the first time in weeks, you feel as though you’re finally doing something right.
As you stand there in Jungwon's embrace, your heart feels lighter, Jake was your first—a boy whose love had once been the center of your universe. Even now, a part of you will always carry him with you. You know you will love him to the ends of the earth, cherishing the memories you shared, the lessons learned, and the person you became because of him.
But as you look at Jungwon, holding you with a warmth and gentleness that feels like coming home, you realize that your heart has found room for another. Yang Jungwon. The first man to show you the true meaning of selfless love. His patience, his unwavering support, and the way he saw you—the real you—without conditions or expectations. He has taught you that love doesn't demand to be earned or proven; it simply exists, patiently waiting for you to embrace it.
You’ll forever be grateful for him. For his kindness and understanding, for the quiet strength he gave you when you were too lost to find your own. In his eyes, you see a future where love is not a battlefield, but a sanctuary.
Jake will always be a cherished part of your story, a chapter that shaped you in ways you’re still discovering. But Jungwon is the present and future, the man who holds your heart now, showing you that love can be both enduring and gentle.
With Jake, you learned the passion of first love; with Jungwon, you’re learning the depth of true, unconditional love. And as you stand here, wrapped in Jungwon's arms, you know that while parts of your heart belong to Jake, you will now and forever carry Jungwon in your heart too. This new chapter, with its promises of understanding and growth, feels like the beginning of something beautiful—a journey towards a love that is as healing as it is profound.

Karma with a s/o who can't hold eye contact 😋😋😋
Tysm if u do have a wonderful day 🫶🫶🫶🫶
♥︎ ʚɞ Karma Akabane x Reader who can’t hold eye contact
Tumblr media
— It's your shy demeanor that catches Karmas' attention the first time you meet him. He notices how around other people such as Rio or Nagisa you’re much more extroverted and you seem more authentic. Every time he tries talking to you, you can’t look him straight in the eyes, and your personality becomes a lot tamer. He assumes it’s because you’re not as comfortable around him, and that you'll open up in time.
He couldn’t have been more wrong.
The more time you spent in End Class, the less you could look at him. He’s never had a lot of friends and that never bothered him before. Except now it seemed like you were comfortable with everyone else in class. Even Terasaka and Itona were able to pull some conversation out of you.
You’d get all nervous and trip on your words; you’d look at your hands or shoes, but never directly at him.
Most people, once they get to know him, are scared off by his “jokes” and slightly violent tendencies.
That’s why, instead of assuming you’re into him, he assumes you’re scared because of some rumor that spread around campus. Which one? He couldn’t say for sure. Students would often make up stories about him.
“He keyed the principal's car and sliced his tires.” (Never happened, good idea though.)
“He pushed Koyama down the stairs, that's why he sprung his ankle.” (He didn’t, but he wishes he did.)
“He snuck into the broadcasting room and sold some of Teppei’s personal belongings.” (That one did happen.)
You were hanging out with Rio outside, and he came up to you two out of boredom.
Midway through the conversation, he notices you picking at the grass, a little while after that, you make up a lame excuse to go talk to Okano, who’s on the opposite side of the mountain.
You’re a really bad liar.
Once he’s alone with Rio, he half-heartedly says, “I wonder what rumor [Name] heard about me that has them afraid of me.”
“Afraid? Why do you think that?”
“You haven’t noticed? Always getting quiet when I’m around, leaving randomly—it’s pretty obvious.”
Rio just laughed. "Wow, you’re dumb. [Names] like that ‘cause they like you.”
He let that new bit of information get into his head. Her conclusion makes more sense.
Now he’s being extra annoying. The more annoying and insistent he gets, the more comfortable you get.
You get to the stage where you talk to him with excitement, you don’t get tripped up on your words anymore and you’re constantly hanging out, but you still can’t look at him.
He decides (with a lot of encouragement from Korosensei and a little help from his classmates) that the only way things will move forward is if he makes the first move.
When he lays out his feelings for you, he makes sure your eyes are on him. He tilts your head back at himself when your vision starts to wander.
Even after you officially get together, the nerves don’t completely go away. Whenever he does something nice for you or when he makes you laugh, you hide your face behind your hands or on his shoulder.
He’s starting to look away from you too; if you noticed how flustered he can get around you, he wouldn’t live it down.
♡ PS sorry It’s been so much time since my last post!!

virgin!seokmin x reader
warnings: first time experience, oral, penetrative sex, face time...
seokmin was that friend you could talk to about anything. your late-night calls ranged from serious topics to the funniest, belly-laugh-inducing conversations. during one of these late-night calls, seokmin confessed that he was a virgin. he saw you through the screen, expecting you to be super shocked or laugh at him. shy, he moved out of the camera's view, but you just shrugged your shoulders, saying it was normal.
"you expected me to be shocked?" you asked, a slight smile playing on your lips.
"well, yeah," seokmin admitted, his voice tinged with nervousness. "i mean, it's not something i go around telling people."
you paused to think. "actually, i am a bit surprised because you're gorgeous. every woman would like to be with you. so yeah, i didn’t expect you to be a virgin."
seokmin’s eyes widened as he reappeared on the screen, genuinely taken aback by your honesty. "every woman?" he repeated. "including...you?"
you shrugged, lying back on your bed, glancing at your screen, which showed seokmin’s bare shoulders as he sat on his bed. "including me."
seokmin tried to joke, though his voice carried a serious undertone. "don’t say that or i’ll show up at your door at 3 a.m."
you put a dramatic hand on your forehead, joining his joke. "oh, i’m so scared that a very hot seokmin will appear at my door and let me fuck him."
seokmin was flabbergasted, and you could see it on your screen. you just smirked at him. a moment later, you heard the notification sound of the call ending. an hour later, seokmin knocked on your door. you opened it, shocked. "you really came!"
"yes, i did!" he said, exasperated, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
you knew that a virgin’s horniness could be high, but not like this. it took mere seconds for you to be out of your pajamas, spread on your bed as he eagerly, though clumsily, sucked on your clit. his eagerness and the slight clumsiness were endearing, and it was sloppy in just the way you liked it. the sensations were overwhelming, and you came quickly, moaning his name.
"seokmin," you breathed, pulling his face up to yours. you kissed him deeply, tasting yourself on his lips. "slide into me," you guided him, your voice a husky whisper.
seokmin's eyes were wide, his breath coming in quick pants. he nodded, positioning himself between your legs. you felt the head of his cock pressing against your entrance, and you helped guide him inside you. the sensation of him stretching you open made you both moan loudly.
"hmpf, fuck, this is good," he gasped, his hands gripping your hips as he began to move.
you wrapped your legs around his waist, urging him to go deeper. "just like that, seokmin. you’re doing so well," you encouraged, your voice breathy with pleasure.
seokmin’s movements were a bit tentative at first, but as he gained confidence, his thrusts became more assured. "fuck, you’re so tight," he groaned, his eyes locking onto yours.
you smiled up at him, your hands running over his back. "you’re amazing, seokmin. i knew you would be."
he blushed at your praise, his hips moving faster. the room was filled with the sound of skin slapping against skin, mingled with your moans and his groans. seokmin’s rhythm grew more frantic, his grip on your hips tightening as he neared his climax.
"i’m close," he panted, his forehead resting against yours. "so close."
"me too," you moaned, your nails digging into his shoulders. "cum for me, seokmin."
with a final, deep thrust, seokmin buried himself inside you, both of you crying out as you came together. his body trembled, his breath coming in short gasps as he spilled inside you. you clung to him, your own orgasm washing over you.

Obey Me! Random Headcanon #11
Gifts you got for Diavolo et al. / Former Undateables + Luke
Diavolo
As an acquaintance: An expensive watch, hoping he wouldn't interpret it as an insult. Of course he didn't; he still wears it even though it's been broken for weeks. It was the first time someone ever got him something so cheap; he thought it was your way of saying that you didn't want to flatter him and just wanted to be friends.
As a longtime friend/lover: A baby dragon plushie you made yourself. No one ever said it was perfect, but the big man loves the thing to death and frequently takes it with him everywhere, even during student council meetings.
Barbatos
As an acquaintance: A box of tea from the human world. It wasn't one of any particularly good quality, I mean what tea comes in a box and doesn't say what region it's from? But he drank all of it, nevertheless and later told you that it was very enjoyable.
As a longtime friend/lover: Time off. He protested this gift but ultimately enjoyed himself thoroughly because you, Diavolo and Lucifer all cooperated and became his butlers for a day, taking turns when necessary.
Simeon
As an acquaintance: A holy Bible. He thanked you several times for it despite the fact that he questions or downright disagrees with most of its contents. He keeps it open to Luke 6:32-36 for when he needs the inspiration to forgive the demons/Solomon for doing something morally questionable.
As a longtime friend/lover: A writer's block care package. Complete with brainstorms, ideas for breaks, snacks, reminders not to rush and that true fans will wait. He smiles at the colored post-it notes artfully scattered on the wall above his work area every time he sits down to write.
Luke
As an acquaintance: A toy chihuahua (it was the brothers' who encouraged you on this bad decision). Of course, he was greatly offended and refused to talk to you for weeks. With some convincing from Simeon, he learned that you didn't mean any harm by it and chooses to put it on his nightstand as a cute decoration.
As a longtime friend: A full set of baking tools that are just as excellent as those in the castle. On Sundays, he asks if you want a healthy portion of what he's made. And by healthy portion, I mean most of it.
Solomon
As an acquaintance: A straw poppet. Solomon had absolutely no idea what to do with this and openly told you that he had never done voodoo before and frankly thought it wasn't possible. Nevertheless, you've piqued his curiosity, and he's been researching it on and off since then.
As a longtime friend/lover: Asking to eat his atrocious cooking, somehow managing to finish a serving, and proclaiming "It's delicious!" Of course, you have to be practically resurrected afterwards, but it made him incredibly happy to finally have his cooking appreciated by someone other than Raphael. That, and luckily for you, he seems to realize that you can't do that again, or you really will die.
-- Caramel: I wonder if you can tell where my bias is. --

****
Six Years Ago, 2017:
France was not all that you expected. One would think people pursuing their doctorate degrees would be busier with their academic lives, but it looked like French people cared more about their social lives.
"Come on, just a few more steps!" Elyna, your classmate, chuckled while dragging your warm, sweaty body across the street. She almost tasted victory when she got a glimpse of the façade of your apartment.
Admittedly, Elyna still gets jealous whenever she remembers your apartment being nicer than hers. Talk about favoritism, huh? You were both scholars of Sorbonne University pursuing your doctorate degrees, but Professor Verlaine liked you the most.
"There you go! You can look after yourself, right? Bye, cutie." Elyna kissed your cheek before practically throwing you in your front door.
You were smaller in stature compared to your French classmates, making it easier for them to push and pull you around. You groaned when your back hit the door.
You were too drunk to cuss your classmate, so you could only suck it up and push yourself to enter your apartment. After what felt like forever, you finally stumbled inside, puffing out a breath and debating whether to just sleep on the floor.
Hours of clubbing with your classmates messed you up. You shouldn't have gone with them, but those shitty French didn't really give you a choice. Even Verlaine encouraged you to go out, going as far as postponing the submission of your business paper so you could have a fun Friday night.
Verlaine's exact words were, "Have fun. You've been in France for months already. You're the only international student who hasn't gone clubbing here."
You did not care for clubs. In fact, you hated them. You only attended your graduation parties and some quiet bars with Jungkook.
"Hah! Stupid pompous freak!" You cussed your traitor of a best friend, wanting nothing but to beat yourself for thinking about that bastard. You had done so well suppressing thoughts about Jungkook for the whole day. It's ten minutes before midnight. How could you fail so miserably?
You struggled to fish your phone out of your pocket, vision doubling, but that did not stop you from sending chains of messages to Jungkook.
To: Jungkook-shit I fucking hate you traitor
To: Jungkook-shit yoi betrayed me freak,. i hope you rot in hell
To: Jungkook-shit fucker
To: Jungkook-shit i hate you so mcuch pleas fo me a favor snd die
To: Jungkook-shit i will ndcevef dorgive you digshfit
To: Jungkook-shit dick
To: Jungkook-shit duck you
To: Jungkook-shit ny heart hirts
To: Jungkook-shitcan we go back?
The last message remained unsent as your intoxication finally caught up to you. You dropped your phone on the floor, face hitting the cold tiles as darkness clouded your vision.
You fell asleep.
***
That night, you had a long dream, which you were pretty sure had happened in real life—back when you were still very small, probably at five years old.
If you thought about it, you'd say the dream slash memory was triggered by going to a club with Elyna and the others. Your dream started off in a club, too.
Your Jisoo-unnie told you to hide in the closet and never make a sound, no matter who tried calling your name. You were an obedient child, only trusting your older sister. But it didn't mean your mother was as kind as Jisoo. Your mom would boss you around as she entertained guests. You basically served as an errand girl at a young age, forced to keep your mouth shut even when you saw your mother and the other girls get violently beaten up by rogue men.
"Where is my sister!?"
You were lighting heavy scented candles for your mother and client when you heard your sister's voice.
Your ears involuntarily perked up. You threw the matchbox aside and immediately ran out of the club's private room.
"Jisoo-unnie?" You blinked innocently.
Your sister was standing there, looking as if she was going to smack your mother. But Jisoo stopped when she heard you call for her.
"Don't take her away!" Your mother screeched and tried to pull Jisoo's hair.
Jisoo dodged, immediately running toward you and hugging your frail body. She covered your ears. "I will take her away! Please. Stop it! She’s just a kid!"
"Bah!" Your mother spat. "She earns me money, unlike a brat like you!"
"I will take her place." Jisoo did not even hesitate. She hugged you tighter. "Let me be your errand girl or whatever you want me to do. I will do it. Just leave her alone."
You couldn't properly hear what the adults were talking about. Jisoo covered your ear tighter to ensure you heard nothing. It took a while before your mother spat on the ground for the second time, but she relented and let Jisoo take you away.
Your memories were pretty vague. All you remembered was that Jisoo had brought you into a tiny apartment; it was cramped and dark and smelled like dead rats. But it was better than those heavy-scented rooms at the club. At least in here, Jisoo cared for you and did not try to beat you up.
It didn't mean all your trauma would go away instantly, though. There were many moments when you would wake up in the middle of the night, silently crying because of a nightmare. You usually dreamt about your mother's client beating up girls and throwing profanities at everyone, including you.
"It's okay, my little one. Your Jisoo-unnie is here, I'll protect you." You weren't sure if you were recalling memories of the past or if it was just part of your drunken dream. All you knew was that Jisoo's warm embrace was palpable. She used to cradle your little body in her arms.
You were a docile kid, wings clipped by those men at the club. They used to threaten to beat you up if you so much as made a small noise or a mistake. For a long time, you carried that pain and refused to talk to your Jisoo-unnie, or anyone else, for that matter. At school, kids made fun of you for acting all meek and weak.
There was a time when Jisoo was called by your teacher, asking if there was something wrong at home for you to act so distantly. You were seven years old around at this time, and you still didn't understand adult words. You just recalled your teacher telling Jisoo that you needed therapy or whatever that was.
Jisoo was barely of legal age. Your mother had a cut whenever Jisoo took in clients at the club. She spent more than half her money to feed you and ensure you could attend class.
Your Jisoo-unnie only had one reminder: "Study well, my dear. That's all I ask. You can get anything you want if you're smart and have lots of money."
You still didn't speak much but diligently followed whatever your sister said. Things took a turn after your teacher talked to Jisoo. The latter took the teacher's advice to heart, but she didn't have enough money to bring you to a professional. She could simply improvise.
"My dear, there's nothing to be scared of anymore, okay? I won't ever hurt you the way they did. Here," Jisoo offered her cheek to you. "You can slap me and tell me all the bad things those men did to you, I won't ever fight back."
You shook your head rapidly, cowering. Memories of those nasty men came like a tidal wave, sweeping you off your feet until you felt nauseated.
"Sshh, my dear. It's okay. Just try, okay...You're okay."
It took a lot of conviction before you relented. Every day, Jisoo would coax you to act like a regular kid who was not frightened of acting difficult and throwing tantrums. She made you feel like it was okay to be mean and that whatever you did or said, you would still be loved—this was the beginning of you having a sharp mouth that couldn't go one statement with profanities leaving your mouth.
You got away with so many things because of Jisoo.
That had been your setup for many years, but your life slowly progressed. You worked hard in school while Jisoo did all the jobs available to her. You got out of that tiny apartment and were able to move to a new house. You were initially reluctant to leave, afraid you would lose connection with the first friend you made in the neighborhood—Jungkook.
You didn't talk to Jungkook before, either. You two would casually sit beside each other and be in your own world.
"You don't have an adult at home? Cool, me too." That was the first thing Jungkook told you. You weren't bothered by his presence before, but Jungkook had become insufferable over time, teasing you here and there until you had to snarl at him.
Despite your banter, you had grown attached to Jungkook and even begged Jisoo not to separate you. Jisoo smiled at you, ruffling your hair and explaining that you would only move to a nicer home, but it was still around the area.
You felt relief flood your veins. Things were going well. You slowly healed from your traumatic childhood as you stayed close to Jungkook and your Jisso-unnie. Your sister kept her promise, never once leaving you.
Every day, Jisoo would go home to you. You gingerly waited for your sister to arrive; you'd set aside your homework and other stuff to open your front door and greet Jisoo with a simple "Welcome home!"
You couldn't maintain your happy façade as Jisoo smiled faintly at you, coughing and smelling like smoke. There were bags under her eyes, too exhausted at her work at the club.
You were getting older. You thought you could apply for a part-time job and help your sibling with the expenses, but Jisoo wanted you to focus on your studies. She brushed your concern off, saying, "It's just secondhand smoke. You know those men at the club, they can't live without cigarettes. Don't worry."
As usual, you blindly followed your sister's request. You hid your verbal concerns and could only welcome her home with hot water with honey. You did your best to care for your Jisoo-unnie until you moved to the university dorm and got busier with school. As time passed, your time with Jisoo lessened until it reached a point where Jisoo would not contact you. She even went as far as betraying you.
She must have known, right? How could she not know that you were hopelessly in love with Jungkook? How could the two most important people in your life betray you like this?
It just didn't make sense.
But then again, nothing made sense—not when feelings were involved. For instance, you flew all the way to Europe so you wouldn't have to deal with the mess back in Incheon. You had cut off connections with Jungkook and Jisoo, but months later, right when you were recovering from your hangover from clubbing too much, was when your doorbell rang.
It's probably Professor Verlaine, you thought. You didn't bother checking the peephole because, for one, you didn't want to see your professor looking prim and proper while you looked like shit. You were still wearing your clothes from last night and you just got up from the floor. Seeing Verlaine at the peephole would make you want to freshen up first; you just didn't have the energy for that.
And for fuck's sake. It's seven in the morning. Seven! Anyone who dared to disturb you at this ungodly hour deserved to see your bed hair, drool on the side of your mouth included.
So you opened the door, fully expecting to grin at your professor, but your smile froze mid-air.
You were still hungover, yet your reflexes were as agile as ever.
You slammed the door shut—no, wait, that's wrong. You swore you were about to slam the door shut. You were not a pushover and didn't intend to talk to your traitor sister.
But you stood there, stiff and unable to shut the door to her face when you heard her cough.
A stupid fucking cough.
Jisoo coughed, and you felt as if you were a child again, excited to open the door and welcome your sister home with hot water mixed with honey from the comb.
***
In hindsight, you should have seen it coming. Jisoo could go a long time without contacting you, though she could never cut you off completely.
Once, she promised to stay with you forever, and until now, that promise still stands.
A promise is a promise.
Jisoo was sitting on your couch. You foolishly let her in, heart still throbbing after hearing your sister's cough. It was just a stupid cough, yet you felt your resolve crumbling.
This can't be. You couldn't possibly still have a soft spot for her.
"Ya having a sidepiece spawn?"—so you attacked her.
Jisoo visibly flinched at the roughness of your tone. You sighed a breath of relief. Her expression would help you sleep at night: Jisoo lowered her eyes, lashes trembling because of your intense look at her stomach. You longed to damage her heart until all she wished to do was run.
Jisoo called your name, choking back a sob. It was hard to say if it was because of the guilt she felt toward you or if it was because of what you called her unborn child.
Yes, Jisoo was heavily pregnant.
It was unfair. Jisoo felt the kick in her belly while you felt like your heart had been stomped.
"It's Jungkook's." There was no room for rebuttal. You said it with finality.
Jisoo didn't deny it, either.
"Of fucking course." You chuckled mercilessly. "How many rounds of 'playing around' did it take before you finally managed to get knocked up?"
"We weren't playing around." Jisoo defended. It was real. The thing they have done, it was real. "But I never dated him."
You scoffed. "But you fucked him." Your jaw slackened. Looking at your sister ignited your anger.
"Once." Jisoo was desperate.
You did not know what to feel anymore. A searing headache hit you. You barked a laugh.
"Tell me, Jisoo-unnie," you said pointedly. You might as well knife her heart. "Is that supposed to make me feel better?"
Crashing defeat settled at the pit of Jisoo's stomach. The baby kicked her tummy aggressively like it was punishing her, too.
Jisoo called your name, trying again. "It was a one-time thing."
"A one-time thing." You repeated. It was probably said to reassure you, but it didn't. If anything, you just found a way to nitpick her excuse. "Not a one-time mistake?"
Jisoo inhaled sharply. For a moment, she looked like she wanted to cup her stomach to calm her baby, but she saw your piercing gaze there, leaving Jisoo no choice but to keep her hands on her side.
"We were both drunk. I admit, it was a moment of weakness."
Cliche. You snarled, feeling acid burn your throat. You wanted to vomit bile. "Still not calling it a mistake?"
"We both wanted it."
"Why!" Millions of questions attacked your head at once. Why did you betray me!? Why did you sleep with him, out of all people!? Was it good!? Was it worth breaking my trust? Why did you want it!?
Jisoo parted her lips, seemingly ready to answer your query, but you raised your hand to shut her up.
Jisoo obediently followed.
"Don't answer that." You felt your knees buckling. You wanted to crawl and die.
"It is—"
"Please, stop." You were certain your heart had been broken to pieces, and you thought there was no way Jisoo could shatter it more.
But now you weren’t so sure anymore.
You could only storm off to your room, slamming the door and hoping Jisoo would leave you alone.
***
Jisoo did not leave you alone. She was sheepishly sitting on the couch when you emerged from your room.
"You're still here," you observed, no snark in your voice, but exhaustion was there.
"I will be here," Jisoo responded with a small smile.
You ignored her, but she kept her promise.
She stayed the whole day in your home. The next day, she was still there.
Then the next.
And the next day.
And the next day.
And the next day.
And the next day.
And the next day.
You couldn't keep track anymore.
***
You and Jisoo were certainly not on good terms or talking terms. Fortunately, you learned to cohabitate without tearing each other apart.
Sometimes, you would buy baby clothes for Jisoo's child. You’d leave the shopping bag on the couch where your sister usually sat. However, you wouldn’t wait to see her reaction after checking the clothes.
Once, though, you accidentally saw her hugging the new clothes you had bought.
You caught Jisoo's gaze. Your sister smiled shyly at you.
Unlike before, you didn't immediately look away. In fact, you gazed at her as if asking, "It's white. A pretty neutral color. That should work, right?"
You weren't siblings without a reason. Jisoo picked up the question in your eyes.
She embraced the clothes tighter. "It's a boy. You’re going to have a nephew."
You did not react. You cast your gaze away and wordlessly left your sister alone.
But the next day, you had ten shopping bags in your hand. You left them at the usual spot.
Blue. You brought blue clothes and a bunch of toys.
You also brought pink clothes because assigning colors to gender was stupid.
But also because your nephew would surely look cute in blue, pink, and all other colors.
***
Jisoo was 32 weeks pregnant when you made up your mind to say something to her.
"That's it." You barged into the bathroom, catching your sister on the spot. She was vomiting blood.
Jisoo gave a start; her eyes were glistening with tears when she snapped her head up and met your glare. She hurriedly wiped her mouth.
"Why are you here?" Jisoo felt cornered, so she stepped back like a frightened lamb.
You smacked your lips together, finding this situation ridiculous. Jisoo had already slept with Jungkook; nothing could ever top that betrayal, so why was she acting like you would strangle her for puking blood?
"This is my apartment, in case you forgot."
"That's not what I meant." Jisoo inhaled as she struggled to swallow blood back to her stomach. "You're supposed to be at school."
"Yeah, whatever I skipped." You couldn't bear to see your trembling sister any longer. You helped her sit on the wide edge of the bathtub.
You worried about your Jisoo-unnie. She'd been retching in the bathroom almost daily. She thought she could hide it by turning the faucet on to muffle the sound, but she was wrong.
You planned to put an end to this. Your brow creased. "Enough with your bullshit. You are thirty-two weeks pregnant, and you can't possibly still be experiencing morning sickness. Even if you were, you'd be vomiting vile or that strawberry yogurt you've been eating every day. Not fucking blood."
"It's fine." Jisoo brushed it off, making a move to stand and end this conversation. You two never talked for more than one minute since she arrived, so why were you being loud now?
"You are not getting out of this conversation." You blocked her way out, glaring at her with the storm in your eyes. "I'll ask again. Why are you vomiting blood?"
The silence was deafening.
You wanted to punch the mirror. You cursed your sister; your eyes were turning bloodshot. The betrayal from before was back in full force. The fact that Jisoo wasn't telling you anything made you feel like she was hiding a nasty secret again.
You couldn't handle any more treachery. You might actually die.
"Don't lie to me again—" You cut yourself off, afraid you’d make yourself look pathetic by murmuring a soft please.
Jisoo stubbornly refused to speak. She watched as tears fell into her open palm.
She had done so well hiding this. She didn't want to tell you about her sickness, but every second that passed made Jisoo feel like the distance between you and her was stretching.
In the end, she could only concede.
"I'm dying." Shallow breath. "I've cancer."
This time, it wasn't the distance that stretched but the silence.
Jisoo dared to peek at your reaction as the silence made her uncomfortable. Only two people knew she was sick: Jungkook and now you.
Jungkook at least hugged her and wiped her hands, telling her it would be all right.
But Jungkook was Jungkook. She hadn't done anything to hurt him.
But you? She shattered and betrayed you, so she should have expected it when she heard your giddy chuckle. However, when Jisoo looked at you, no sign of happiness or sadness could be traced on your face.
It was eerily impassive.
And then she heard you say:
"Good. That's good. I hope you die."
The bathroom door slammed shut, leaving Jisoo with tears in her eyes and kicking unborn child.
***
Jisoo was 33 weeks pregnant when you gave up on radio silence. Your sister was lying on the bed she bought herself. Your apartment only had one bedroom, but Jisoo still squeezed herself in. Seeing her dozing off on the couch was a pain, so one day, you brought brochures where Jisoo could choose a bed of her liking.
Jisoo bought a single bed, putting it close to your bed. You two slept without bothering each other. Tonight, though, you couldn't take it anymore.
You lay on your side, staring directly at Jisoo. Your sister was already looking at you.
She smiled and said hi.
You didn't bother with greetings. You went straight to the point.
"What type of cancer." It was like you were reporting the weather, refusing to ask the question properly. Your monotonous voice made you appear apathetic. No one knew how heavy your heart was.
"Does it matter?" Jisoo cupped her bulging belly. Her baby seemed excited whenever he heard his aunt speaking. He was wildly kicking Jisoo's belly.
"Tsk. Just answer the damn question. Why do you have to make everything difficult?"
This was starting to get on your nerves. Even after everything that happened, you still weren’t used to Jisoo not indulging you.
"It's not difficult. It just doesn't matter. I'm dying, anyway." Just like what you wanted. But Jisoo didn't say the last part. She was not in a position to hold grudges against you.
You hugged your pillow to your chest like you wanted to shield your heart that was about to jump out of your body.
"Just answer."
It was getting harder for you to breathe. Beads of sweat formed on your forehead; you couldn't seem to get the image of Jisoo coughing in your head.
Please don't let it be lung cancer. Please don't let it be lung cancer. Please don't let it be lung cancer. Please don't let it be lung cancer. Please don't let it be lung cancer—
"It's lung cancer."
Your heart missed a beat.
"How much time do you have left?" You dug your nails into the pillow while Jisoo sighed. She was sure you couldn't wait for her to die.
"Not too long. Maybe I'll pass soon after I have my baby."
"But why." Jisoo wasn't sure if she was imagining things, but she thought she heard you whine. "Don't you have a treatment plan? Fucking chemotherapy and stuff?"
"Chemotherapy is harmful for the baby." Jisoo's tone was soft.
"Fuck the baby!"
Even you were surprised by how resentful you were. But it was true, wasn't it? Her baby was the devil's spawn. It was the fruit of betrayal, so why was Jisoo choosing it over herself?
"Why didn't you abort it?" You abruptly sat on the bed, shooting daggers at Jisoo. A whirlpool of abuse danced at the tip of your tongue. You didn't voice it out because Jisoo looked sad.
"Don't be like that to Soobin."
"Who the fuck is Soobin? Why should I care!?"
"It's your nephew's name," Jisoo explained patiently as she caressed her stomach. Soobin had stopped kicking, probably scared of his aunt.
"That's such a basic name. It's so ugly. I hate it. I hate him."
You didn't give your sister a chance to speak. "Forget it." You turned off the lampshade. "I don't want to talk to you anymore. I'm going to sleep."
You laid back down. Darkness enveloped the room. This was better. This way, you couldn't see the sadness in Jisoo’s face.
But you couldn't sleep. You tossed and turned all night, but nothing worked.
It's my fault. You wanted to say. Jisoo got cancer because of you. That club was a rotten place. You should've stopped her from working there.
Lung cancer. What a bullshit thing to have.
"Don't die." A week ago, you were saying the complete opposite. "If you die, I'll chase you to hell. You can't die, Jisoo."
You still have debts to pay. I have not forgiven you yet. You have to suffer my eternal wrath, so do not die before me.
*** In Jisoo's 34th week of pregnancy, you had asked her another question.
"Why did you do it?"
Jisoo didn't need context. She knew exactly what you were talking about, but like before, you cut her off before she could explain.
"Never mind." You covered your face with a blanket and slept.
***
In Jisoo's 35th week of pregnancy, you pestered her again about chemotherapy.
"I told you already. It's harmful for Soobin."
"And I told you already, I don't care about Soobin." You rebutted.
This bedtime routine was tiring Jisoo. She felt like she was arguing with a wall.
"Good night," so she just turned off the lampshade and went to bed.
*** You asked about the betrayal again in Jisoo's 36th week of pregnancy.
"Are you sure you want to know now?" Jisoo's carefulness shot your heart.
You shook your head, your chest heaving.
"No," you admitted. "Never mind it."
***
Jisoo's 37th weeks pregnant when you panicked upon seeing her looking like she was in a lot of pain.
"What's the matter?" Your heart leaped to your throat. You were beside Jisoo at once.
Jisoo bit her lip and wiped the sweat on her forehead. "It's nothing. Your nephew's just being naughty. He keeps kicking my tummy."
Oh.
Your heartbeat returned to normal. And then you snorted and folded your arms across your chest. "Tell that scrub to shut his trap and quit being annoying."
You were about to return to your bed when Jisoo seized your wrist.
You flinched, but you didn't push her away.
It gave Jisoo the courage to push through her suggestion. She cleared her throat, "Why don't you pacify him yourself? He's quite obedient. Here, I'll guide you."
Jisoo slowly led your hand to her tummy. Your hand was stiff at first, almost resisting when you had contact with the skin of Jisoo's belly.
"Sshh, it's okay, dear." Jisoo's voice was like a lullaby. You relaxed at once.
It took you a while before you finally started caressing your sister's stomach without wanting to die.
And then you felt it.
"Oh!" Your eyes grew big. "He kicked me! Your kid kicked me!"
An involuntary chuckle came out of Jisoo. "Yes, he likes his aunt a lot."
"Hmp." You withdrew your hands. "Too bad I don't care about him."
Jisoo didn't react because, deep down, you were fooling no one.
***
You asked about the betrayal again in Jisoo's 38th week of pregnancy. Jisoo had learned her lesson, so she did not speak and pretended to be asleep.
***
You found the courage to be honest in Jisoo's 39th week of pregnancy.
"I take it back." You gripped your blanket. "Soobin isn't so bad. I think his name is cute."
Jisoo gasped, which had you worrying. You thought your sister was in pain again. These days, all she did was vomit blood.
However, Jisoo's gasp was because of plain surprise. She beamed at you, "Soobin just kicked me three times. He means to say he loves you."
"You're an idiot, and you know it." You clicked your tongue in disgust, "Tell your devil spawn I hate him."
Your words were harsh, but Jisoo knew your heart was melting.
Just a few more. Jisoo mused, mentally patting her baby's head. Your aunt’s gonna warm up to you soon, Bin-bin.
***
Jisoo was in her 40th week of pregnancy when she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
It took a while before you got out of the hospital because of Jisoo's worsening condition. Thankfully, you were there to look after Soobin.
"Welcome home, mon bébé," you secretly whispered when you finally got home.
Soobin cooed at you, and you wanted to cry.
You stopped calling Soobin the devil's spawn.
***
Jisoo's 3 weeks postpartum, and she was delirious.
"Jisoo-unnie, it's time for your medicine." You were sitting in your sister's bed with a glass of water in your hand.
"Honey water again...?" She blinked, eyes unfocused. She was hot to touch. "I don't want honey water. You make them too sweet."
"This is not honey water." You tried to make her drink, but Jisoo was stubborn.
She called your name. “My dear, please. You have to listen to me, alright? Hide in the closet. Don't answer even when mom calls for you. I will..." She cupped your cheek. "I will be back for you, okay?"
Postpartum was foreign to you, but you figured your sister was struggling.
"There's no need to hide. I'm not a five-year-old anymore, Jisoo-unnie."
It was the wrong thing to say because Jisoo scowled. She was unhappy, though she kept caressing your face.
"What are you saying? You'll always be my little girl."
***
Jisoo's 9 weeks postpartum when her mind cleared up. Regrettably, her body became weaker.
"You can't even carry your own baby," you taunted, peering down at your bedridden sister as you gently rocked Soobin in your arms.
Your nephew was so well-behaved.
"It's okay." Jisoo coughed. "Soobin has you."
"I'm not a babysitter." You jutted your chin, annoyed. "Hurry up and get better. I'm getting tired of—oh."
You weren't able to finish whatever you were saying. You couldn't even remember what you were trying to prove. All your thoughts vanished when Soobin wrapped his tiny hand around your pinky.
"Jisoo-unnie! Look! Look! He's holding me!" You stepped closer to Jisoo's bed, crouching down so your sister could see.
Jisoo forced out a smile. But that small action was taxing to her body. She coughed up blood again. She wiped it before you could see it.
"That's good. That's really, really good...."
***
Jisoo was 10 weeks postpartum, and she was still rotting in bed.
"You have to force yourself to get better," you demanded, a deep scowl on your lips. "Just look at your son. He clings to me a lot. Do you want him to recognize me as his mom?"
Your statement was meant to be threatening, but it made Jisoo happier.
"He is yours, dear." Her voice was barely above a whisper. She didn't have the energy to speak louder, but she could still smile. "He is meant to stay by your side."
"Shut up." You rolled your eyes. "I'm not cut out to be a parent. This is your mess. I was not there when you made him." I was against you making him. You hurt me.
Jisoo's forehead creased, though. She didn't agree with you. "But I made him for you."
What?
You couldn't believe your ears. If postpartum was this kind of bitch, then you were willing to fight it. It was making your Jisoo-unnie act crazy. She was full of shit.
"Soobin...stay...you..." And she was blabbering random words.
You touched her forehead. She was burning. Her fever was probably making her crazy.
"Next time, I'm bringing you to an asylum." Soobin slept soundly in his crib, so you had time to care for your sister. You put a wet towel on her forehead. "You're crazy, did you know that? Who would have thought a cute baby like Soobin came from a nasty girl like you?"
Jisoo's scowl deepened. She struggled and weakly caught your wrist. "No. Soobin looks like...me."
You glanced at Soobin's sleeping form. Yeah, right.
"Keep dreaming. It's free."
"No." Jisoo cried. It looked like she took your statement to heart. "He looks like me...he should look like me..."
Suddenly, Jisoo was crying. You were stunned. What was this drama queen crying for!?
"He looks like me. Please. He should remind me of you. I'm dying, I'm dying. I'm dying--!!"
Your eyes widened. Jisoo was out of control. She was sobbing and kicking her feet, albeit weakly.
"Jisoo-unnie, calm down." You held her hands, giving up. "I believe you, okay? Soobin looks like you."
She was easy to pacify. She stopped crying at once, and then she cupped your cheeks.
"My dear, my little one...I'm sorry, your Jisoo-unnie can't keep her promise to you. I'm going soon. Stay...stay with Soobin, alright?"
Jisoo slowly trailed off. The terrible realization slapped you in the face.
You were shaking, bile crawling to your throat when you connected the dots:
There was a high possibility that Jisoo, your sister, planned on sleeping with Jungkook so she could get pregnant. She wished to get pregnant because, after all this time, she still saw you as a little girl who needed someone by her side.
And since she was dying, she needed someone to...
You stopped thinking. You looked at Soobin's sleeping form and sobbed; your sister's words echoed in your mind:
Stay with Soobin. I made him for you.
Fuck.
***
In Jisoo's twisted way, what she did was for your sake. Unfortunately, you did not ask any of this.
Jisoo was 15 weeks postpartum. She was like a withered flower. No color was left on her face. Death was around the corner.
"Are you there, my dear?"
You did not answer. The question you didn't have an answer to entered your mind. You hadn't asked in a long time. Should you?
"Why did you betray me?" You asked it aloud before you could think properly. You thought Jisoo's too weak to answer, but she forced herself to speak.
"I was lonely. We were both lonely."
In the grand scheme of things, that explanation should have made sense. Lonely people sought comfort. You should be the first to understand that. But you didn't. It only brought you pain.
"I can't make you happy?" But you were her sister and Jungkook...Jungkook was your best friend. How could you not know that the people you loved were suffering? That they were lonely? Were you that...insensitive?
"It's not about you." Jisoo groaned. She was in a lot of pain. "You will never understand our grief. Your life is...a bliss."
The pain was unbearable. You wanted to cover your ears. You regretted asking that question, but you just couldn't stop.
"So you don't trust me? You don't think I'd understand you?" Did Jungkook think so too?
Jisoo didn't give a clear answer. She couldn't breathe. Her chest was stuffy.
Silence prevailed.
You stared blankly at Jisoo.
Jisoo struggled to maintain her breathing. She called your name.
"Have you forgiven me?"
It took you an eternity to respond, but your tone was biting when you did.
"You and Jungkook bonded over something you thought I was too immature to understand, so tell me, Jisoo-unnie, how can I forgive you?"
It meant to hurt. But Jisoo smiled through the pain.
She seemed...happy.
"Good…Good. Don't forgive me. I don't deserve it."
Blood. There was blood everywhere. Jisoo was barely awake.
"But leave Soobin...out of your...anger. That kid will love you. I swear, he will love you."
You had no plans to give Soobin away.
"I know...I am in no position to ask you anything, but...Jungkook...he must know about his son. He deserves that much, no--" She seemed to shake her head. "Soobin deserves that much....Promise me, in three..."
She paused. She was thinking....calculating...
"No four...four years...three years..." It was getting confusing. "Return him home in three years. Ugh."
Jisoo couldn't hold on.
She called your name. “ You and Soobin...you two are my life...I love you...I'll see..." you.
Jisoo didn't get to finish her last statement. She died, eyes clamped shut and blood splattering everywhere.
She died while her son slept, and you wept.

Build a Bear
A shopping trip turns into an impromptu visit to Build a Bear for Bob and Bun.
Bob and Bun
Massive thank you to @vivwritesfics for letting me borrow Bob and Bun! 🥰
Tumblr media
She had never been to Build-A-Bear. It was silly; she was a grown woman, but growing up, she had no one to take her. She saw the adverts on TV, and she had friends who had them, with all the outfits and accessories, but her father never took her. He never had the time.
So one day, when she was passing the store with Bob in tow, she couldn’t help but drag him inside. She only intended to get a new outfit and maybe some new lingerie, but the brightly colored store was just too tempting.
She ran to the store, practically dragging Bob to the door, but paused before she entered. “Can we? Please? Can we get bears?”
He could hardly say no to her; in fact, he rarely did. She deserved the world, and Bob would give it to her over and over if it meant he got to see her smile like that. Yeah, she could kill a man with no regrets; she was a part of the most dangerous organization in the world, but that didn’t mean she didn’t still like her teddy bears.
He adored the way she looked, her eyes wide as she looked up and down the bins of deflated bears and creatures waiting to be stuffed. The brightly colored axolotl caught her eye as she immediately grabbed one and held the creature's head between her hands. “This one!”
Bob laughed; of course, she’d choose that one. He looked up and down the bins himself. He was going to go for a plain bear, but a Star Wars logo caught his eye. He looked through the bin and found a Darth Vader bear. That was definitely the one.
Bun led him over to the stuffing station where a worker was sitting at the giant machine churning fluff, ready to stuff their bears with.
“Are you all finished picking out your bears?” she asked.
Bun nodded and handed over her bear first, excited to finally go through the whole process of making her bear.
“Okay, and who is this special bear for?” the worker asked.
She looked shyly, but with encouragement from Bob, she spoke up, “It’s for me.”
“Okay, so if you want to put your foot on the pedal, I’ll fill the bear up and tell you when to stop. Do you want them soft and cuddly or firmer?”
She thought for a moment before she spoke again, “In between.”
“Sure thing, I can make them the perfect balance!”
Bun stepped on the pedal and watched as her teddy came to life. Bob watched as her eyes lit up and she looked up at him, excitement in her eyes as a little happy giggle escaped her lips.
“Okay, step off the pedal for me and have a feel. Is that okay?”
She cuddled the bear to her chest and nodded, “He’s perfect!”
The worker set the bear aside and took Bob’s bear next. “Same for you; do you want it firmer or soft and cuddly?”
Bob opted for a firmer bear. He stepped on the pedal and watched as his bear was stuffed. He had to admit, it was a cool concept, and if they ever had kids one day, he’d love to take their child and watch the same excitement fill their eyes as they made bears together as a family.
With both the bears stuffed, the worker spoke up again, “Okay, so now we need to bring the bear to life. I need both of you to choose one of those two little hearts, and we’re going to make a big wish.”
With both of their hearts selected, they held them in their hands and waited for the next instruction.
“Okay, so we’re going to rub it on our heads so our bear is always thinking about our wish.”
The look Bun flashed Bob had him joining in the wish ceremony with no arguments. She smiled as they both rubbed the small fabric heart on their foreheads.
“Then we’re going to tap the heart to make it start beating and bring our bear to life!”
Again, the pair of them followed the directions, holding the heart in their palms and tapping it with their fingers.
“We’re going to hold it to our hearts so it’s always full of love.”
They both did as they were instructed and held the hearts to their chests.
“Then we’re going to rub it on our arms for all the cuddles because these bears give the best cuddles.”
Bun rubbed the fabric heart on her arms a few extra times; she needed her bear extra cuddly.
“Last but not least, I need you to hold it tight in your hand and make that big wish!”
Bob was actually getting into it when it came time to make his own wish, not that he needed much more. He had Bun, a decent job that paid extremely well, and life was pretty good for the pair of them. Still, he scrunched his eyes shut and made his wish in his mind as Bun did the same. It must have been a big wish because when Bob opened his eyes, hers were still scrunched shut, her tongue poking out with concentration.
With both of their wishes made, they stuffed the hearts into the bears and watched as the worker sewed them up.
“What did you wish for, Bun?”
She looked at him with a shocked look on her face. “Do you not know how wishes work, Floyd? If I tell you, it won’t come true!”
With both of their bears complete and handed back to them, Bun immediately clutched hers to her chest.
Bob was so in love with this woman.
“Okay, now you can go and pick out the accessories for your bears and dress them over there,” the worker let them know before she began the whole spiel again with the woman and her child who were behind Bob and Bun in line.
Bob opted to keep it classic for his bear, it was already decorated enough with the embroidered designs and sewn in cape, he did however buy a tiny red lightsaber for it. Bun, however, had so many options to choose from. Did she get the tutu and tiara? Did she get the colorful onesie? She opted for the onesie, knowing it would be more comfortable to cuddle.
The last step after dressing their bears before checking out was the birth certificate. Bob already had a name planned out. He typed out the name ‘Ani.’ He turned to Bun to see what name she’d chosen, hoping she’d kept it clean, and he saw the name ‘El Diablo’ typed on the screen. He wasn’t sure devil was a fitting name for a bright pink axolotl wearing a big smile, but he supposed it was fitting for his girl.
With their bears dressed and named, Bob led them over to the counter to pay. Bun could have opted to put her teddy in a box to make it easier to carry, but of course, she didn’t. She clutched El Diablo to her chest, and the smile that she wore on her face as she left the store was something Bob could stare at all day and never grow tired of.
