cracked earth // rising light
note: talks about death, don't read if that's not your vibe
“What do you think happens when you die?”
Wild blinks. Glances up at Rule, who’s just squatting there, fondly watching a fairy as it wanders around in a nearby bush.
Rule turns back to the truffle they’re digging up. “I know it’s a weird thing to ask. But I wonder, sometimes. I think we’ve all gotten close. Had our ways of coming back from the brink, all tasted it just a bit. But what happens when you fully cross that line? When you can’t be brought back? You can only answer that once. I’m not ready to answer it, but I still just... I want to know.”
The earth around the truffle is hard, layered and caked in its dryness. Rule’s Hyrule has always been like that. Harsh, tough, but with a gentle core. It’s not hard to find the core; crack open the surface, peel it away with your hands, and you can find the soft, loamy dirt underneath.
Wild sinks his hands into it. Feels the cool, fresh dirt. It’s not as wet as it should be, here. It doesn’t smell as fresh as it should, here. The lingering scent of malice sinks into the dirt, staining its scent in his nose. But it doesn’t matter, because it’s fresh dirt. Because there is fresh dirt. There’s a hardened shell of a land, but it has life within it. A life that can be coaxed back, in time.
It will take a long time.
It will take a century.
But they have a century.
His own hand is hard, too. Stiffened, toughened with the eternal callus of the burn. A burn that could not be healed. Wild knows that if he peels the skin back, that if he pokes the muscle underneath, it’ll be fresh, firm. Not as strong as it should be, not as capable as it should be, but it doesn’t matter.
‘I used to think it was like going to sleep,’ he slowly signs to Rule. ‘Even if it’s painful, even if it’s scary, you eventually close your eyes and become nothing. You don’t lose anything. You just don’t notice that you stopped being.’
Wild knows he was scared, once. That day when he was protecting Zelda from the guardians, when he was injured more than he’d ever been, when he knew there was nobody there to heal him, he’d been scared. Scared of the fact that that was it. Of the idea of ceasing.
It was a bit strange to think about, in that moment. Of his own body failing, of his own injuries piling on so thick that he couldn’t distinguish between them. It hurt, and he was scared, falling to nothing but the surface of the earth. Felt the grass on his cheek and the rain on his hair and noticed it, for the first time. Pushed his face into the ground and thought, I’m going to miss you. I’m scared.
And he’d closed his eyes. At some point, it was all he could do. Say that he was scared, and do it anyway.
And he didn’t go to sleep.
It’s impossible to know what happened. He knows he lost his memory; knows that that’s one memory he can’t trigger back. Not from dying.
But every single time since then... it felt different.
When he slipped just wrong on the cliff, when he fell to the ground and felt his body break under him, some intrinsic part of him knew he wasn’t going to sleep. He’d close his eyes and saw light, blue light. Not the light of the Sheikah, but of the blupees. Something soft, fragile, scared. But it watched him, beckoned him. Guided him into the depths. Into the cool, cold, loamy embrace of... something.
And he’d woken up at the bottom of the cliff, in his own body, feeling the rain wash the skin of the earth off of him.
Or when he swam too long in the ocean. Fell into the depths, lungs crying, bursting. And when he eventually closed his eyes, he just... kept sinking. Cracked open the ground below him, peeled it back with shaking arms, and sank into its embrace.
He knows when he was fighting the horde on Death Mountain, when Zelda was a princess and hiding in a crevice, that he died. That a lynel sword toppled him, that a spare fairy brought him back up. And he knows that he didn’t feel anything, then. Didn’t feel anything beyond the cold of the sword in his chest, the pounding of his heart, and the dead scream in his throat at the fact that he was scared.
Maybe it’s the fact that he’s been put back in. Maybe he’s just always closer to death than he once was. Maybe it’s the memory of it-- maybe it’s that he’s seen it, and it doesn’t feel the need to hide itself anymore. It’s happy to say hello, to see if, this time, he’ll follow it again.
Wild’s hand finds purchase. He digs out the truffle. It’s like the land around it; hard, ugly, precious.
Dusting it off, he hands it to Rule. Shrugs. ‘It’s something else. I’m still working out what.’
Rule stares at him for a long time. Holds the truffle.
“...That’s not a good thing.”
Wild smiles, and says nothing in reply.

going through my old journals as part of therapy homework and i'm reading a section written in the emotional wreckage of a full-on breakdown when i get hit with this line:
There is never a satisfying answer to ‘Why didn’t they love me?’
like wow babe. good fucking point
#like you were on the ground biting the carpet and dry sobbing while you wrote that and still. good fucking point#not a shitpost#cptsd#and it's true. there's never a satisfying answer#the truth is i know why i wasn't loved#i analyzed my parent's traumas and abuse to death. i understand why i alienated and was alienated from my siblings#i know why my mom was too overwhelmed to be capable of nurturing#i know why my dad vanished into addiction and avoidance#the details of our cycles of trauma and cptsd and family history i have a phd in all of it#i understood perfectly. i spent years studying and now i knew the answer#and guess what? IT WAS NOT SATISFYING!!!#because they still didn't love me! and i still couldn't change that!#it was still a completely unsatisfying state of affairs!#so like. when the people who are supposed to love you...don't.#when the people who are supposed to take care of you...fail to#you can look for answers and reasons and explanations#but that's not actually going to FIX your situation.#and it's probably not within your ability TO fix the situation. (and definitely not your job)#because you don't need answers--you need a new situation#*inserts Just Walk Out. You Can Leave!!! (Running Skeleton) Meme*#and yes. walking out isn't always possible.#but for you i hope it will be one day soon. and i hope you build the courage to take that leap.#stepping away from the people who failed to love you...it feels like being untethered but also like being lighter than air#new and scary. immensely relieving. the future opens up. empty but empty like a canvas. blindingly bright until your eyes adjust#like climbing out of a pit you called home and for the first time realizing how bright the light of day can truly be#when you aren't just getting glimpses from the bottom of a hole

Halloween prompts year 2 day 29
Dont get him wrong, Danny had some big feelings about finding out his mom had cheated on his dad. He had even bigger feeling about the divorce and the whole shipping him off to live with his bio dad.
He wasn't going to lie. The new school was actually really nice and he had made friends quickly, though at first it was tough to weed out the ones who just wanted to get close to the Wayne family name and not him as a person. He didn't get to chat with Tucker and Sam a whole lot due to thier schedules but he and Jazz always made time for eachother.
His life had surprisingly taken a massive upturn. Vlad had been arrested soon after Danny warned the Waynes about him, making Danny believe either his dad it felt wierd calling him that but da-Jack made it perfectly clear he should never call him that was Batmans sugar daddy or somthing or maybe the Waynes got kidnapped so much that the bats bugged the whole place. Danny hoped not, he had done a whole karaoke thing with Jazz during thier video call the other night and he really didn't want anyone to hear thier shared cat screeching.
Jazz was super happy to learn Danny had joined the Volleyball team and Astronomy club. He used to play Volleyball in middle school and played defense a lot. He was even the best on the team but he stopped playing after one too many times of his parents forgetting to show up or causing a ruckus whenever they thought a ghost was nearby.
But it was better now
The portals were shut down by the bats. The GIW where expertly obliterated from existence. His parents are getting court mandated mental help. There are no more ghosts. No more ghost hunters.
And no need for Phantom
Danny doesn't think he's ever felt this free. He could go out to eat with friends with his way too big allowance that his...dad gives him and he didn't have to worry about having to ditch them to go fight a bad guy. He could eat dinner with a family who was a little awkward but surprisingly open to him and the food was delicious and didn't attack him. He could actually sleep at night and feel safe doing it. His siblings liked spending time with him and getting to learn anout him and thier "bonus sister" Jazz.
He had no reason to use his powers.
Until the grandfather clock he was walking past swung open like a door and he locked eyes with Nightwing coming out of it. They just stared at eachother before Danny just said, "I don't want to know which one your dating. Just know I have a bat and im willing to use it in the most ungodly of ways." And walked back to his room.
He wouldn't be a superhero, but he was willing to be a supervillian to protect his new family. Or in this case make sure Nightwing, a rumored playboy, knew better than to go breaking hearts in this household.

i saw this tweet and found it interesting for two reasons. one is that some people base how good cartoon network would be to toh by how it treated su, and despite the fact that su’s treatment by the network was considered poor at the time, now its thought to be exceptionally good in comparison to modern shows.
two is how exactly su got impacted by a limited budget. a common criticism is how characters like connie, peridot, and lapis are left out of missions. but balancing a lot of characters is not only hard but also costly (extra animation, extra voices—it’s been revealed that the show is limited to a set number of characters per episode otherwise they’re over budget). animation mistakes are not uncommon since retakes cost extra. the entire reason the original show got cut short was due to loss of funding!
#i don’t know if pay rates differ per networks#but a.ivi and s.urrashu have said that they needed to work outside of su in order to make sufficient funds#it only makes me wonder what other ways su suffered from a lower budget#that we as the audience never got to see#in the vein of the too-little characters complaint#another part of that is that low-stakes episodes should’ve been abt the main cast instead of the townies#like last one out of beach city and too short to ride vs restaurant wars and kiki’s pizza delivery service#i definitely see that especially since that isn’t budget related#nor would it seem to be network related (even if cn had an ‘episodic episodes’ quota it could still be abt the gems#(another side note: /would/ cn even have a requirement that the show make episodes that can be watched standalone?#this is a question for the people who were around when su was airing#what episodes often got rerun?#was it the townie eps or the lore eps?#for example i heard that su once did a ‘peridot event’ where they just reran peridot episodes#which had eps that skip around in the show#did they even care about airing the story so that it made sense anyways?#id get it if the low stakes townie episodes were the ones getting rerun))#but i have such a boring view on that which is i think it’s simply because the creators like townie eps#like in interviews r.ebecca s.ugar has said she’s the type to be really invested in background characters#answers in interviews have been crafted in ways to hide what’s really going on though tbf#prime example of this is rebecca and ian saying the wedding being interrupted was meant to follow the common trope#when later in the art book they said that it was bc cn rejected the ep bc it ‘wasn’t interesting enough’#both could simultaneously be true! it’s a psychology thing though where people make up nice-sounding explanations behind what they create#in retrospect because they want it to be thought out in such a nice way they believe in it#the bigger problem is that not matter how many episodes there are of them#it can be hard for ppl to be invested in the townies the same way they are invested in the main cast#i’m sure that a million writers have made surefire advice on how to get an audience to care about characters#but off the top of my head i think it’s because 1. most don’t have strong motivations to get truly invested in#(exception is ronaldo but people find him too annoying to care about him)#okay i had more points and explanations but i hit the tag limit and idk if anyone is actually reading this so bye

Hi, i just learned about the scientific revolution in europe at school. Can you tell me why you dont think scientific revolutions exist? im curious!
So I feel like I have to lead with the fact that I'm kind of arguing two different points when I say scientific revolutions aren't really a thing
One is that I'm objecting to a specific, extremely foundational theory of scientific revolutions that was put forth by the philosopher Thomas Kuhn, which I think really misrepresents how science is actually practiced in the name of fitting things to a nice model. The other is that I think the fundamental problem with the idea is that it's too vague to effectively describe an actual process that happens.
It's certainly true that there are important advances in science that get referred to as "revolutions" that fundamentally changed their fields -- the shift from the Ptolemaic model of the Solar System to the Copernican one, Darwin's theory of evolution, etc. But there are historians of science (who I tend to agree with) that feel that terming these advances "revolutions" ignores the fact that science is an continuous, accretional process, and somewhat sensationalizes the process of scientific change in the name of celebrating particular scientists or theories over others.
Kuhn's model that he put forth in The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (which is one of those books that itself stirred a great deal of activity in a number of fields) suggests science evolves via what he called "paradigm shifts," where new ideas become fundamentally incompatible with the old model or way of doing things, causing a total overturn in the way scientists see the world, and establishing a new paradigm -- which will eventually cave to another when it, too, ceases to function effectively as a model. This theory became extraordinarily popular when it was published, but it's somewhat telling who it's remained popular with. Economists, political scientists, and literary theorists still use Kuhn, but historians of science, in my experience at least, see his work as historically significant but incompatible with how history is actually studied.
Kuhn posits that between paradigm shifts there are periods of "normal science" where paradigms are unquestioned and anomalies in the current model are largely ignored, until they reach a critical mass and cause a scientific revolution. In reality though, there is often real discussion of those anomalies, and I think the scientific process is not nearly so content to ignore them as Kuhn thinks. Throughout history, we see people expressing a real discontent with unsolved mysteries the current scientific model fails to explain, and glossing over those simply because the individuals in question didn't manage to formulate breakthrough theories to "solve" those problems props up the somewhat infamous "great men" model of history of science, where we focus only on the most famous people in the field as significant instead of acknowledging that science is a social enterprise and no research happens in a vacuum!
Beyond disagreeing with Kuhn specifically though, I think the idea of scientific revolutions vastly simplifies how science evolves and changes, and is ultimately a really ahistorical way of thinking about shifts in thinking. Take the example of the shift from Ptolemaic, geocentric thought to the heliocentric Copernican model of the solar system. When does this supposed "revolution" in thought actually start, and when does it "end" by becoming firmly established? You could argue that the publication of Copernicus' De revolutionibus orbium coelestium in 1543 was the beginning of the shift in thinking -- but of course, then you have the problem of asking where Copernicus' ideas came from in the first place.
The "great men" model of history would suggest Copernicus was a uniquely talented individual who managed to suggest something no one else had ever put forth, but realistically, he was influenced by the scientists who came before him, just like anyone else. There were real objections to the Ptolemaic model during the medieval era! One of the most famous problems in medieval astronomy was the fact that assuming a geocentric model makes the behavior of the planets seem really weird to an observer on Earth, referred to as retrograde motion, which had to be solved with a complicated system of epicycles that people knew wasn't quite working, even if they weren't able to put together exactly why. There were even ancient Greek astronomers who suggested that the sun was at the center of the solar system, going all the way back to Aristarchus of Samos who lived from around 310-230 BCE!
Putting an end point to the Copernican revolution poses similar challenges. Some people opt to suggest that what Copernicus started, either Galileo or Newton finished (which in and of itself means the "revolution" lasted around 100-150 years), but are we defining the shift in terms of new theories, or the consensus of the scientific community? The latter is much harder to pinpoint, and in my opinion as an aspiring historian of science, also much more important. Again, science doesn't happen in a vacuum. Copernicus, Galileo, and Newton may be more famous than their peers, but that doesn't mean the rest of the Renaissance scientific community didn't matter.
Ultimately it's a matter of simple models like Kuhn's (or other definitions of scientific revolutions) being insufficient to explain the complexity of history. Both because science is a complex endeavor, and because it isn't independent from the rest of history. Sure, it's genuinely amazing to consider that Copernicus' De revolutionibus orbium coelestium and the anatomist Andreas Vesalius' similarly influential De humani corporis fabrica were published the same year, and it says something about the intellectual climate of the time. But does it say something about science only, or is it also worth remembering that the introduction of typographic printing a century prior drastically changed how scientists communicated and whose ideas stuck and were remembered? On a similar note, we credit Darwin with suggesting the theory of evolution (and I could write a similarly long response just on the many, many influences in geology and biology both that went into his formulation of said theory), but what does it say that Alfred Russel Wallace independently came up with the theory of natural selection around the same time? Is it sheer coincidence, or does it have more to do with conversations that were already happening in the scientific community both men belonged to that predated the publication of the Origin?
I think that the concept of scientific revolutions is an important part of the history of the history of science, and has its place when talking about how we conceive of certain periods of history. But I'm a skeptic of it being a particularly accurate model, largely on the grounds of objecting to the "great men" model of history and the idea that shifts in thinking can be boiled down to a few important names and dates.
There's a famous Isaac Newton quote (which, fittingly, did not originate with Newton himself, but can be traced back even further to several medieval thinkers) in which he states "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants." I would argue that science, as an endeavor, is far more like standing on the shoulder of several hundred thousand other people in a trenchcoat. This social element of research is exactly why it's so hard to pull apart any one particular revolution, even when fairly revolutionary theories change the direction of the research that's happening. Ideas belong to a long evolutionary chain, and even if it occasionally goes through periods of punctuated equilibrium, dividing that history into periods of revolution and stagnancy ignores the rich scientific tradition of the "in-between" periods, and the contributions of scientists who never became famous for their work.

glass houses and all, I've made bad deals in my time and I've failed to consult IP lawyers in cases where I probably should have, but putting your entire codebase up as collateral on a loan that you're paying more or less entirely through someone else's charity feels like it really shouldn't be fucking Plan A

Out of curiosity, what made you decide Raph needed two dragons in the spitfire au? Also, is there an easy way to tell Crash and Bash apart? Thanks!
Knew this question was eventually coming (;゙゚ω゚) warning: long post
Ok story time, I see a lot of myself in Raph as a character. For the first half of my childhood I was the eldest. I was the roll model and figure my younger siblings looked up to or came to for guidance. Then in the later years of my childhood I got an older step sibling, suddenly I became a middle child. The dynamic of my family shifted to where I had grown up the eldest but then was sort of allowed to be myself and more free once I became a middle child. So in a way, I grew up understanding the two sides of looking up to an older sibling and what it feels like to be that older sibling.
When I first watched rottmnt I instantly felt a connection to Ralph’s character. An older sibling figure that dotes on his brothers but is also a lovable goofball. I understood his position in the family on a deeper level. Someone who wears the hat of both responsible sibling but also expressive idiot. I knew he was going to be someone in my au that his power would be shaped on that perceived position in the family.
The canon show doesn’t really dive into the origin of the mystic weapons or the “rules” around mystic magic with the boys. I think I’ve mentioned it somewhere else but the way I see their mystic abilities is that it’s an extension of themselves, a reflection of their power and character. So seeing how I view Raph as someone who holds himself responsible for his brothers but is also still running around doing stupid things with them, I wanted to reflect that duo mindset in his ninpo.
Sorry for the long post, hope this makes sense! (Here’s some Crash & Bash helpful pointers)

"other guys joke that theyre not allowed to bring you around their wives..." "you gotta have to ask ekky about that one thats on him"
WSFL Inside South Florida | 4.11.24 (x)
he was so serious and focused on answering questions and then immediately gets thrown a curveball at the end that is "hey so some are saying...im not saying who... but some not naming any names... HOWEVER that you are so hot possibly sans shirt... you are not allowed near the wags... how do you respond is this true..."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
throwing his head back to laugh because he got his bonded dpair's quote thrown back in his face while trying to talk about contract extensions and fishing...
"thats on him" the way he cheekily shrugs a shoulder and flicks his head...man whos well aware who started that rumour and will not stand idly by while revisionists rewrite history NO ONE ELSE HAS SAID SUCH A THING. NO ONE ELSE HAS JOKED ABOUT SUCH A THING. AND IF THEY "HAVE" ITS ONLY BECAUSE OF ONE (1) MAN AND ONE MAN ALONE.
and it was in fact "on him" because that quote comes from a miami herald article about forsy FROM FEBRUARY. A 2 WHOLE MONTHS BEFORE THIS INTERVIEW.

and like all things it always leads back to ekky when it comes to anything forsy-related, the personal menace of the team. and also his bonded soulmate or whatever. may god bless this beautiful little freakish relationship.

okay, bc i have seen this argument alot now (and it also seems to be the view point of aonuma himself..) is that "zelda cant do everything link does bc whats the point then"
and i take personal offense on that bc its a stupid argument (in. my. very. personal. opinion.- not judging people for liking it. its a ME thing)
whats the point? its that its her. its still a different character, different in story, background, personality, but i WANT to play zelda and she can do everything link does, why does she have to be so restricted and be bend over backwards to find some new way to make her 'useful' when link gets to do basically everything no questions asked (the only thing thats hers is like .. sealing power and sacrificial maiden, which i find a little underwhelming to say the least), if theres no point to it why are there always modders that model swap link with someone else, and in that case it has even less impact bc its an artificial model swap with no changes to the story (which can and should still be different when its the vanilla game with a different protagonist... its still a different character), clearly theres joy in just the model being a different one- and that isnt even to mention the story possibilities, since, again, its stil a different character
if we ever (never ... i know who we are talking about here) get to play as ganondorf i want to him to be just as versatile and active as link is, if we got a point and click adventure game for him instead bc 'whats the point' id be disappointed too- you can find any sort of excuse/explanation for zelda to be singled out but the fact remains it tracks with how female characters are often treated, and that hits a very sore spot for me
i guess i am unfortunately one of those annoying people that want to see female characters be treated exactly the same as male characters, possibly bc i am myself afab but identify as agender and have a deeply personal dislike for anything 'traditional' feminine bc i cannot and never will be able to truly live as myself in real life, it influences all of my work, my work is as just as much as my opinion on this, very personal
and in line with my point about modding, i see theres joy in just beign able to play as her even if its like this, i get that, i also get it for the creative aspect (though that mechanic worries me even more for the future bc it really seems to be the path now that -freedom = good, linear anything = bad-) it is a different idea and its not like i cant see that value- im not trying be "right" either, just bc i have that opinion doesnt mean i need everyone to agree, its a very personal thing, if you like it good for you! not for me though, and i think both of that is equally valid
i just personally wish she was allowed to be just like link, fight just like him but be different bc its still her and not him in the end- to be physically/playstyle like jsut like him, but you know ... as her, i dont think shed stop being zelda if she could wield a sword just like him
i dont really know how to get my point/feelings across, i dont want to step too much into personal stuff nor spam people with something that ultimately doesnt interest me alot, im just saddened by it really
(EDIT: bc i forgot to add this on here again; this isnt as much of a problem as it might sound like here, just the main topic i wanted to talk about; why im so uninterested in it is MAINLY bc i dont trust them to write anything interesting/care about lore anymore after totk, im always on the more pessimistic side that thinks its most likely worse than id hope and i know even the past games arent perfect or super interestingly written, but now its much more just a general distrust, together with everything like the price ... im just much less hopeful and cant get excited until i see more of it, like im waiting for the game to get out and reveal that its just as much of a mess and money i regret spending- kind of fear)
#ganondoodles talks#zelda#person that send an ask about this in just as i was writing this- this isnt about you- i promise you#its soemthing thats been stirring in my mind since yesterday#and seeing so many of those comments- and even aonuma himself say it#just strikes a very very personal sore spot#also to that one commenter on a different post-#no- wanting female characters being allowed to wield a sword is not “badass female character mysogyni” (idk how to spell that rn)#the hollywood badass female character thing is annoying but thats bc-#its a super model woman (bc shes ALLOWED TO BE FEMININE you KNOW) fight people in high heels- bc you can be feminie AND badass-#and then does a cringy one liner 'what you thoguht a FEMALE couldnt kick your teeth in'#which comes with alot more baggage of tropes and hollywood etc etc#i long for the 'women are jsut as capable as men' in a very agender way#why do you think i intentionally design alot of female characters non tradtionally feminie or masculine#again this is a very pseronal thing to me#BUT i do think it IS questionable that its her that isnt allowed to fight with a sword#like i dont think thats much of my personal dislike there- but a valid thing to point out no matter the explanations you can come up with#anyway- i dont hate it- but its not for me- i dont want to talk much about it#i hope you can excuse me not answering the asks i got related to this- id just repeat myself#(i guess i should be glad that its the top down one that gets her as the protagonist-)#(i dont think i want to live through seeing her be animated like the typically girly feminine butt wiggle in your face tehehe)#(the botw/totk cutscnes were enough of that for me PERSONALLY)#i dont know how many times i have to say its my very biased personally personal opinion and no a judging of others#to make it clear that no one has to agree with me and i dont want to be convinced of the other opinions of this

Hello- as someone who likes astrology bug can not read a proper birth chart- can you tell me what Edwin’s star/moon/asc are? I was curious but yeah I can not read that chart for the life of me 😅
Hey! 🩷
Of course, let's see:
Tumblr media
Sun/Star Sign: Capricorn ♑
Moon: Leo ♌
Ascendant: Virgo ♍
The other positions are under the cut 💫
MC/Mid Heaven: Gemini ♊
Lilith: Sagittarius ♐
EP/East Point: Virgo ♍
North Node: Cancer ♋
Mercury: Capricorn ♑
Venus: Capricorn ♑
Mars: Gemini ♊
Jupiter: Scorpio ♏
Saturn: I can't find the glyph :/
Uranus: Gemini ♊
Neptune: Libra ♎
Pluto: Leo ♌
Part of Fortune: ♑
The Part of Fortune (symbolized by a circle with an X) represents how an individual physically connects with the world around them. It's a key indicator for the body, health, prosperity, and career. Calculated from the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant positions in a birth chart, it holds comparable importance to these vital points, just as the MC. It's important to mention that its calculation vary due to two different formulas based on birth time (day/night), which leads to frequent mistakes.
Houses:
The Houses start counting from the Ascendant, so you can say Virgo is in 1st House/Place, and continue from there as it is indicated in the chart.
I think most of you would be interested in the 5th House (♑), or probably the 7th (♓) as they rule aspects related to romance and relationships/partnerships respectively. Also, the 8th House (♈), which between other things, rules death and deep connections.

you know when skk became partners?
They officially got their name Soukoku/Double Black after the Dragon's Head Conflict (Dead Apple prologue), which happens a few months after Storm Bringer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, they've been working together as a team since day 1, and Dazai called Chuuya his partner in front of Oda when he first met the man, sometime between Storm Bringer and the Dragon's Head Conflict:
Tumblr media
Dazai calls Chuuya his partner of 7 years, so he probably has almost always thought of him as his partner. Chuuya isn't as vocal about it, so it's harder to say in his case when he started considering Dazai his partner.
Their first mutually voluntary team up against Rimbaud probably counts for something though:
