How does your character feel about family functions or gatherings? (For both)

💥esuto has a lot of cousins and siblings and more unfortunately a lot of adult relatives, he was very awkward around adults as a kid, related or not. most of the time before moving out was in a smaller closed off room of his house when guests came over, or sitting in the backyard of someone else's house even when it was late at night and Horribly Cold. he's currently. uh. Not in his parents' wills if you know what i mean so.. can't say much about his current stuff.

🎆erin is very close to his mom's side, he talks to his mom regularly and does attend specific gatherings, such as more cultural events unrelated to his japanese side of the family. He likes being around them and doesn't sink into the background like Esuto used to do. He isn't particularly disliked on his dad's side either but avoids gatherings predominantly about them just to not make things awkward. (not visiting his paternal grandparents on grandparent's day, etc).
