Hi....if you don't mind me asking, who are your top 7 favorite romantic relationship's couples in books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series/etc (can be canon or non-canon)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Thanks....
hello. i don't mind talking about my fav ships. i can do that for hours. here are my top 7 ships.
destiel (tv series-supernatural)
my otp. i love these two dumbasses too much. and for why i love them is because they complement each other really well. they share a bond so profound that you can never not see their love for each other. and of course, there's this human-angel dynamic. words are not enough to describe them.
hannigram (tv series- hannibal)
what can i say about them? they ruined me like no other. i love how they can truly comprehend each other's thoughts and feelings on a profound level. the chemistry and dynamic tension between them is just captivating. every interaction between them feels like you are encountering something intimate.
hualian (book- heaven official's blessing)
my comfort ship. my darlings. this is story of a devotee and his god. you want a love story of loyalty, trust, sacrifice and mutual respect? this is for you. (the type of love i want). their relationship is a journey of healing and growth, where they find strength and solace in each other. they love each other immensely but also respect each other too well to not cross any boundaries. the amount of understanding they have between them is just amazing.
judecardan (book/s- the folk of the air series)
the most top tier couple. enemies to lovers at its best. they both share same intelligence and cunning and eventually they develop a mutual respect that coexists with their power struggles. cardan was cruel towards jude at the beginning then just seeing her with a knife he became a lifelong simp. jude made a cruel prince into a malewife. and i love her for that.
patrochilles (book- the song of achilles)
patrochilles. the love tragedy. for me, the bond they share is a complex tapestry of loyalty, love, and shared destiny. they are each other's rock in a world of chaos. they share everything, from victories to vulnerabilities. (sobs) their ending was sad, but the bond they shared is unbreakable.
zosan (anime- one piece)
the moat chaotic duo. the thing i love about them is that despite their constant bickering, both zoro and sanji deeply respect each other's abilities and courage. they've proven time and again that they're willing to put their lives on the line for each other. their rivalry is a constant source of humor and tension. and the most amazing thing is that their interactions often lead to personal growth and development for both characters.
satosugu (anime- one piece)
(cries) this is gonna be emotional. if you know them then you know that their shared purpose solidified their bond. their friendship was built on trust and loyalty, making them incredible partners. unfortunately, their paths diverged due to differing philosophies on how to achieve their shared goal. while their relationship ultimately ended in tragedy, their story is a powerful exploration of friendship, idealism, and the darkness that can consume even the purest of hearts.
i can name more ships i love, but it will be too much then 😅. hope you're happy with the answer

The best current actors and the film/TV show that proved it to me
There are a lot of incredible actors out there, and more emerging every day. And it’s difficult to choose who my favourites are, however there are some actors that to me are just a little bit above everyone else.
Florence Pugh  Florence Pugh is without a doubt an amazing actor, and is actually one of my favourites. She has starred in some of my favourite films, and is set to star in others that I’m unbelievably excited to see.
There are a few reasons why I love Florence Pugh’s acting, but the big one is her ability to portray such deep emotional scenes. Her ability to act out: terror, love, anger, sadness, grief and so much more is masterful and really sets her apart.
There are a lot of films that have showcased Florence Pugh’s abilities, one of my favourites being Midsommar. However the film that really to me displayed how incredible of an actor Pugh is, is the 2022 film; The Wonder.
Florence’s ability to embody her character so beautifully was so enthralling and captivating and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire way through. The way she is able to act out such deep and intricate emotional scenes with so many layers and nuances... I would not be suprised if there was an Oscar with her name on it in the near future.
Tom Holland  I will admit I used to not be a big fan of Tom Holland’s work, I had only seen him in Spiderman and I found myself associating him with the character too much and struggled to separate the two. I was not a fan of the hype surrounding him and because of this I had a real unfair bias for him.
However this has since changed. The reason why? The 2020 film; The Devil all the time. This film was incredible and Tom Holland’s acting was off the charts and it really changed my opinion on him.
Holland has a real talent with accents, and it’s rare (at least for me) to be able to find an actor that can preform with a realistic accent at different volumes and with different tones and pitches.
Sebastian Stan It’s no secret that I love Sebastian Stan, I’ve followed him and his projects for a while now and it’s rare for me to be disappointed. Sebastian Stan is the sort of actor that I love for so many reasons, but the main one? His ability to act and display emotion silently and without words.
He can express and portray so much emotion and feeling through his eyes and his facial expression that he doesn’t even need to say a word. He is has the ability to do comedy, romance, horror and action, and he does it all well.
The way he so seamlessly slips into his characters and really becomes them is so incredible to me.
The project that shows this the most to me though is the 2012 drama series; Political Animals. His depiction of TJ Hammond was so heartbreaking, and so (no pun intended) addictive.
Timothée Chalamet  Timothée Chalamet is another one of those rare talents that is just so much more. I don’t quite know how to describe it, but there is simply something about how he commands the screen, how he captures your attention.
His ability to emotional connect with his co-stars and show that on screen is so beautiful, the chemistry he has with everyone in CMBYN is enthralling and makes the film so much more beautiful.
However it isn’t CMBYN that really showed the extent of Timothée Chalamet’s skill, in my opinion. That goes to the 2018 film; Beautiful Boy. The acting in the film is incredible. Timothée was really able to capture all of the pain and hopelessness of addiction, as well as the hopeful and soulful moments of recovery. When I watched this film, I wasn’t watching Timothée acting out a character, I just saw his character living. There was no disconnect between the two.
Josh Hutcherson Now, on this one I am admittedly a little bias. I grew up on films starring actors like Josh Hutcherson, one of my favourite films growing up was Bridge to Terabithia. However I don’t think I’m being bias when I say this actor has some serious skill.
The Hunger Games has long been one my favourite film series (and book series), so I obviously had quite the crush on Josh Hutcherson growing up. However his inclusion on this list is not because of that.
It’s because of his portrayal of Peeta Mellark; more specifically in Mockingjay Pt1. The way Hutcherson acted out Peeta’s downward spiral while in the captivity of the Capital was mesmerizing. I remember being genuinely afraid for him when watching the film, even after multiple rewatches. The way he acted out Peeta’s fear, rage and hate after he had been hijacked was so unbelievable incredible I can’t even put it into words.
Honorable mentions     Cillian Murphy - Peaky Blinders | Tommy Shelby Chris Evans - Defending Jacob | Andy Barber  Tom Hardy - Oliver Twist | Bill Sikes   Benedict Cumberbatch - The Imitation Game | Alan Turing  Tom Hiddleston - War Horse | Captain James Nicholls  Jodie Comer - Help | Sarah  Jennifer Lawrence - The Hunger Games | Katniss Everdeen Hayley Atwell - Black Mirror (Be right back) | Martha  Natalie Portman - Black Swan | Nina Sayers

Good Omens Manifesto - 1
(this was written on 11/08/2023)
I watched the first season of Good Omens in 2020 when I had just arrived in the UK and my English skills were very limited, I hadn't heard about the book, and I did not know David Tennant (Shame on me! I know) and barely knew Michael Sheen from his role in Passengers only (Oops!). I think that I read a blog recommending this show for English learners, and then I read the synopsis and went for it. I quickly engaged with that magic and a bit absurd world of Angels and Demons, the end of the world story, and of course the captivating performance of both main characters. As a Christian and former well-committed Catholic (Am I still a Catholic? I don't know anymore) the show challenged my vision of God's ineffability and Their role in the fate of humanity many times. The thing is that I loved the show, I laughed loudly so many times with every episode and I enjoyed that hypnotic chemistry between Crowley and Aziraphale. I loved the whole first season and simply adored the finale: Cheers to the World! I must recognise that with a happy heart and relaxed mind after watching such as heart-lifting show I did not follow much of the news about the show because I never thought that I would be blessed with a second season. When I heard that the second season was coming, I became very excited about having the opportunity to witness again this marvellous universe of love, craziness, shadows, and colours. As I always do, I didn't read anything about the plot for this second season basically because I can't stand any spoilers and a week ago, I put myself on the task of watching season 2. Oh my God! Despite being very busy with my studies I finished the season in just a couple of days. I was enjoying it so much, laughing a lot, watching with a big smile on my face all those minisodes (5 stars to the Zombies!) that showed more about the Angel and the Demon's long-lasting relationship throughout history, and again it found me thinking about God, Heaven, Hell, and we simple mortals. I was so goddamn fooled by the disappearance of the Archangel f**** Gabriel, the love story between Nina and Maggie, and its parallel between Aziraphale and Crowley that I never expected such a punch in my stomach, heart, and soul that gave me the last minutes of the final episode. It felt like a bucket of cold water on my feelings! I was sceptical about what I had just seen and waited until the last minute – even when the credits and the melancholic music were already in front of me - that Aziraphale would leave that lift and the awful Metatron to come back to Earth. But it didn't happen... So, here I am, I watched again season 1 and loved it even more, probably because now my English is better and also because now, I see Tennant and Sheen as two beloved and incredibly talented actors. I am a huge fan of those performances that move your guts - such as Sarah Lancashire's in the amazing Happy Valley - and for me, the core of this season was how Michael and David delivered the millennia-lasting relationship between these two celestial entities and made everyone who watched Good Omens to believe in true unconditional love and cheering for them to be together for other 6,000 years and more. I'm amazed at David Tennant's ability of showing Crowley's hidden emotions even when he is wearing dark glasses and Michael Sheen’s grace in showing an overload of innocence that doesn’t match his long-lived existence.

Creativity
As my creativity in September I wrote a review on a ballet Dracula that I had a chance to see this month
As an avid fan of both ballet and the timeless tale of Count Dracula, attending "Dracula's Polish Ballet" was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. This remarkable fusion of dance, storytelling, and visual artistry left me utterly captivated and spellbound.
The performance began with an atmosphere of eerie anticipation, setting the tone for the dark and mysterious world of the vampire. The stage design was a masterpiece in itself, with intricate Gothic sets and a hauntingly beautiful backdrop that transported the audience to the heart of Transylvania. The use of innovative lighting techniques created an atmosphere that was both haunting and enchanting, perfectly complementing the ballet's dark and alluring theme.
The choreography by the talented Polish Ballet Company was nothing short of breathtaking. The dancers moved with an otherworldly grace, their movements perfectly synchronized to the music. The portrayal of Dracula himself was a revelation, as he danced with an aura of seductive malevolence that sent shivers down my spine. The chemistry between the cast members was palpable, enhancing the intensity of the story's love and betrayal.
The score, composed specifically for this production, was a symphony of darkness and romance. The haunting melodies and dramatic crescendos heightened the emotional impact of every scene. The use of live orchestration added an extra layer of grandeur to an already stunning performance.
What truly set "Dracula's Polish Ballet" apart was its commitment to staying true to Bram Stoker's classic novel. The narrative was faithful to the source material, maintaining the key elements of the story while adding its own unique twists and interpretations. This brought a fresh perspective to the tale while remaining respectful of the original.
One of the highlights of the performance was the exceptional costume design. The elaborate and gothic-inspired costumes added depth and dimension to the characters, emphasizing their transformation from humans to vampires. Dracula's costume, in particular, was a work of art, perfectly capturing the essence of the iconic vampire.
The ballet's ability to balance the darkness of the story with moments of passion and vulnerability was a testament to the choreographer's skill. It explored the themes of love, immortality, and the eternal struggle between good and evil with depth and sensitivity.
In conclusion, "Dracula's Polish Ballet" is a mesmerizing and unforgettable theatrical experience that seamlessly blends the grace of ballet with the chilling allure of the vampire legend. It offers a fresh take on a classic tale while honoring its roots, leaving the audience both enthralled and haunted. If you have the opportunity to witness this production, prepare to be transported into the mesmerizing world of Count Dracula like never before. It is a ballet that will linger in your memory long after the final curtain falls.

Helen of Sparta, the first femme fatale
Tumblr media
From Greek Mythology
I. BASIC STATS
i. OTHER NAMES: Helen of Troy (known as; doesn’t answer to it); Helena ii. MAIN PERIOD: Circa 13 000 BC iii. PLACE OF RESIDENCE: Sparta, Greece. In threads, Helen’s motherland may be referred to by other names such as Lacedaemon (the city-state), Laconia (the region) or, less frequently, Peloponnese (the peninsula). Helen has also resided in Troy (also called Illium) and briefly in Aphidnae for a time in her youth. iv. OCCUPATION(s): Queen of Sparta (heir); priestess, seer v. RELIGION: Hellenic polytheist vi. TERMS OF ADDRESS: “my queen” vii. MUSE LEVEL: Main muse viii. CONNECTIONS: Leda (mother); Hermione (daughter); Zeus (father); Tyndareus (adoptive father); Menelaus (husband); Paris (husband); Deiphobus (husband); Castor and Pollux (twin brothers), Clytemnestra (sister) & more.
II. PERSONALITY
LIKE ANY OTHER SPARTAN, Helen is succinct, self-disciplined and loyal to the motherland its laws. She is austere, determined and arrogant, but seductive despite that. Her posture is always mighty and regal. She speaks with authority and confidence, demands rather than asks, expresses dominance through her body language – haughty and open-chested – and has a tendency to invade other people’s personal spaces by touching them or their personal items.
Helen values strength, loyalty, cleverness and endurance, to the same extent that she despises its opposites.
III. MUSE-SPECIFIC POTENTIAL TRIGGERS
There may be mentions of rape, but no graphic scenes depicting it. Graphic violence can often occur and, considering the character’s cultural background, Helen might have a desensitized point of view when experiencing, witnessing or causing it. Infidelity, unhealthy mother-daughter relationships, animal sacrifices, consumption of alcohol and natural hallucinogens will come up occasionally.
IV. SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Spiritual powers associated with Aphrodite’s domains, such as: beauty (the power to give it or take it away), fertility (the power enable conception for people who have trouble procreating, or to take away that ability from those who had it; the power to turn barren land into fertile soil or the other way around), sexuality (the power to provoke sexual desire; the power to cure sexual impotence or inflict someone with it) and love (the power to imitate traits of people that the target loves; voices, appearance, mannerisms).
The abilities of a seer, such as to read bird-signs, combined with a deepened perception about the ministrations of the Gods upon their lives, as well as an accurate assessment of human fate through clairvoyance.
An extreme capacity for recognition that enables her to see through disguises and tricks, even when they come from the gods.
Mortal abilities include wrestling, hunting, music, javelin-throwing, negotiation, strategic thinking, social intelligence, leadership, extreme physical endurance, dancing and horse riding.
V. INTERPRETATIONS/CANON DIVERGENT POINTS
There is no real canon to Greek Mythology, so instead I’ll just say that this Helen is the opposite of how you may have seen her on modern media. My Helen is not an oppressed and unwilling wife to Menelaus – quite the contrary. She did not choose to leave Sparta on a whim – it was her fate. Although there were people on the Trojan side that she did come to care about, Helen was always #TeamGreeks because that’s where the Spartans were fighting and she will never side against Sparta.
VI. MUSE-SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
ONE. Writing about your muse’s perception about Helen with lines like, “she did not look godborn” or “her famed beauty was not all that much” kind of defeats the purpose of Helen. It’s the same as if I would take the most conspicuous and defining trait of your character and deny that through my muses point of view. Please don’t. TWO. Helen is a character that naturally flirts and uses sexuality as a weapon. Think of her as Aphrodite’s half-mortal surrogate. When it occurs, don’t interpret that as an attempt from me to guide the thread towards smut or romance if we haven’t discussed this possibility ooc. It’s a character trait.
VII. INTERACTIONS & BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
Helen is a queen before she is a friend. She evaluates other people through the eyes of a ruler, dividing them between allies and rivals. Her priority is always her duty and she is willing to sacrifice personal relationships in order to achieve her goals. This is not going to change for your character, I should say in advance. On the other hand, if she has your loyalty, you will have hers. Like Zeus, Helen is ruthless, but just.
Possible dynamics include, but are not limited to: muses with political/financial/military powers establishing an alliance or partnership with Helen; muses with good fighting skills in her employment; muses seeking assistance through Helen’s spiritual powers, blood feuds, Helen being captive to your muse or the other way around, our muses at opposing sides of a war or conducting it as allies, etcetera.
VIII. SHIPPING
Because she is a pragmatist and a stoic, it’s rather unlikely to place Helen in a kind of “love conquers all” kind of ship. On the other hand, she easily has chemistry with most characters. Relationships tend to be passionate and carnal, but casual and with little to no emotional attachment. She is attracted to physical prowess.
Meaningful relationships are possible but harder to build. The ideal profile for Helen is someone who is strong, gritty and thrilling, but though she is attracted to dominance, she will end up being the most dominant one or else the relationship will hardly work. In any case, Helen is not monogamous and she will not change for any muse.
Possible dynamics include, but are not limited to: arranged marriages, extramarital affairs, enemies to lovers, etcetera.

VBO Mini Bang Round-Up
I know that I had mini reviews of the art for the @vegebulocracy Big Bang this past winter, but there are SO MANY stories and pieces of artwork for the mini that I just can’t (minus one). What I will say is that the talent and artwork that was presented in this event was just amazing, and I am not sure I could pick a favorite nearly as easily as I did for the Big Bang! One thing that did bother me with SEVERAL of the stories, it the fact that they are broken into multiple parts. Not so much that they are broken up, but the fact that they are broken up in a way that doesn’t have a satisfying close to one part of the story. If you are gonna write for an event like this I think it is SUPER important to bring your story to some sort of conclusion, even if you don’t finish the story, just so people feel satisfied at the end. That is really one of my biggest criticisms of several of the works here. So with that out of the way,  lets jump into the stories! There are probably spoilers below, so beware! (I’ll try to keep them light)

This is a fun little one shot written as though you are watching a movie. I really got a tarantino-esque feel reading this story. The dialogue had that irreverent dark humor feel to it. Nothing was sacred and everything a joke. I really love the way characters interact with each other. The smutty sex scene is steamy and goddamn Bulma is bad…. Also something about the thought of Raditz listening in on them does things to me. I love the twist, and she sets it up so nicely in the story. If you are not thinking about the end game, you probably won’t even see it coming, but little things Bulma does and says throughout the story really set up the twist ending nicely. I feel like the delivery is a bit forced and feels a little out of place. But overall the story is very well written and I am honestly not sure I can give any reasons for anyone to not read it.

What happens when blind dates go wrong, and then oh-so right? And then maybe wrong again? This story is funny, sweet, and over all a wild ride. I have said it probably a million times, but I will say it again, I love how she incorporates nods to canon into her fics. And there are so many “easter eggs” in this story. I like how it doesn’t take itself seriously. It’s a dry humor but completely not dark. And Damn does this fic feel like the slowest burn ever. The whole first four chapters happen in one night but never have I needed them to get to the point more than reading this story. She builds the tension in the date night really nicely. Then you get the raging of the end of chapter 4. I know when I read it all I wanted to do was slam my fists against the keyboard. Another A+ story definitely worth your time reading.
Life at the Edge of a Blade
@bearstarseraphffxi
Rating: General Audiences
Word Count: 20,459
Reading this was like reading the weirdest filler episode ever. The plot is odd but shockingly believable in the DragonBall Verse. I mean if they had episodes dedicated to baseball between universes, I am sure they would get Vegeta figure skating in direct competition with Yamcha. Bear’s characterizations were done quite well. I really can’t think of a character that the author didn’t peg. There were some funny moments too, I remember at least once laughing out loud. There is some fluff between V/B but no romance really. It is a very dry piece, and a lot of the writing feels very technical, but if you like really canon characterizations and if you are interested in reading a piece that could really be a several episode filler for the three year gap, you may enjoy this one.

Gosh, what an interesting story! In general I am in love with the interesting ideas blacksheep has in her stories. This is a story that could very well fit in the canon, it occurs during the three year gap and it really doesn’t follow a story about them as a couple, although there are some QUITE STEAMY moments in it (but no sex).Speaking of...I love the idea of Vegeta using his sexual energy against Bulma. You read so many fics of Bulma going after Vegeta and really amping up the sex appeal to get him to do things, but the idea of him pouring water all over himself ‘cause he knows she is watching him and later pinning her and using her attraction for him against her… just A+ and so in character for him. I don’t wanna give away the twist ending cause GODDAMN it is so good and unexpected… and just wow.. You really gotta read it.

So I love everything I have ever read from 1vulgarwoman, she writes such fun pieces and I came into this one with images of Heavy Lifting and Fundamentals of Chemistry in mind. I loved the way the plot and the romantic subplot were equally interesting. The world was rich and vibrant, humor was on point. The handling of character relationships and interactions in this fic were done fantastically well. And then the smut scenes. I think anyone who has ever read any of her fics know that when it’s time for the smut, you need to prepare yo’ body cause its about to get real. She does not disappoint, with a STEAMY sexting/Facetime scene and then the last half of the last chapter is just splooshworthy. I will say that talking only about the smut really downplays the greatness of the rest of this fic though, and I would 1,000 percent recc this to anyone.

I have some pretty big issues with this piece. As my faithful readers are probably aware, I really have a hard time with crossovers, because so often it is two things I love mashed together, and the spark that makes the things great is lost. That is one of the problems with this piece. It didn’t feel like either a Dragon Ball AU or an X-Men AU. But the biggest issue I have with this piece is scope and flow. This author is trying to tackle too much in the time and word limit provided. We are working on a love story between Vegeta and Bulma, but also the whole of the Dark Phoenix saga. It’s just too broad and because of that the flow is off. There are huge time jumps that don’t make sense, and while I get that we are seeing little vignettes of the story, it is confusing. I would have liked to nix the Phoenix storyline and go with OC X-Men, that are based off of the traits of the Dragon Ball characters. Bulma would make a great Beast for example. But then explore the characters relationships through a much simpler plot than anything Phoenix related.
War Thunder
@jonahwhalesw1
Rating: Explicit
Word Count:24,994
So this is a WWII all human AU. There are some really nice things going on set up for the plot, however it just never kicks in. We are 25,000 words into the story and most of the writing has been about sexual tension between Bulma and Vegeta. Now don’t get me wrong, I like a build up of sexual tension, it really makes the pay off of when they finally kiss or fuck or whatever they are gonna do so much better. I wish that maybe BSV had slowed down the romantic plot of this fic a bit and interspersed more of the other parts of the plot. Or maybe written some interactions that built up their attraction in a nonsexual way. It feels very Porn without Plot to me right now, and it is because the romantic plot is so in your face. I really want to know more about what the war is doing to the community. What kinds of changes in our history does having the Colds on planet and fighting with Nazis? Is there gonna be an extermination of Saiyans? I feel like with some of those war time plot bunnies thrown into the mix the story would feel more vibrant and alive, cause right now it is PWP, but also without porn at this point in the story. It was a fun read, it just left me wanting more.

So, I fucking loved this story. It shared shocking similarities to some of the ideas and themes in my story, which I loved reading about. I love the Bulma in captivity trope apparently. I really dont want to give too much away, but I love the beginning of the fic, this idea that they are instantly attracted to each other and there is no real dancing around the subject and they are just diving right into it is nice. I am not sure if it is because of the word count restrictions, or time limit or what, but I felt like the jump from the escape to the first death was a shocking break. I would have liked to see more of what was happening during those lost years. I appreciate the surprise of the killer, and their abilities, and I feel like it wrapped up nicely, but the beginning of the last chapter felt so rushed and leaves me wanting more information about thought processes and feelings. Overall, a fantastic fic, and worth your time to read.
Healing

So when I first read this fic I was amazed at how well Starcross emoted. So many of the paragraphs just felt like being right inside Vegeta’s head as he was descending in this spiral of self loathing. The formatting choices were a nice touch, to show how he is quarreling within himself. I like the idea also of Bulma NOT being so happy go lucky and needing this kind of comfort. She is for all intents and purposes in canon alone so much. Yamcha comes around sure, but her friends are really never around. So she is alone a lot and life gets sad when you are alone. I think she caught this feeling and nuance really well. I really enjoy this story, it follows the timeline of canon pretty well, so if you aren’t super into AUs this is a good choice for you. It is pretty angsty, and with a title like Healing, you probably think it will have a happy ending, but if you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.
A Mermaid’s Tale
DBZVB1991
Rating: Mature
Word Count: 15,740
This is a Book One situation here. And the entirety of this submission is just setting up the intrigue of the story. I had mentioned in the Big Bang that it makes me nervous when I see crossovers between two things I love because so often it is just a mish mash of the flavors of two worlds that don’t go together. I do think that DBZVB1991 worked hard on worldbuilding a believable crossover world between the two. It is way more Dragon Ball than Little Mermaid and I am OK with that honestly.  For most of the fic they follow The Little Mermaid storyline  pretty closely. There are one or two plot bunnies that are different than TLM, but mostly it follows the plot pretty closely. I like where I think it may be going, but really it is so hard to review this properly because the story just hasn’t even really started yet. This is a story that is worth a read, but feels unsatisfying mostly because of how unfinished it is at the moment.

This is absolutely an amazing fic. The story follows Vegeta through losing his memory, and it just freaking brings the feels. Tashana really knows how to craft an emotionally charged story, and she brings bits of the canon back in a very organic way that doesn’t drag the piece down. There is a squidgeta cameo in the piece, so if you are into my wiggly boi, you are in luck! The pacing of this story is on point, she nails both sweet family man Vegeta AND feral angry Vegeta perfectly. I wanted more of the interactions of Gohan and Goten with Bra, but dammit I am so glad she didn’t give it to me, cause I feel like it would have damaged the pacing. This story was crafted so beautifully, and it is one that gives you this little insight into their lives and leaves you wanting more - but doesn’t drag on so you get tired of reading. Fantastically done, you really should go read it cause it is amazing.

SO one thing that I noticed while reading this fic is how BAD ASS the women are in the story. Like good grief, Chi Chi and Launch were just KILLER (Bulma too, but we are used to seeing her be cool)I like that this is a story with no romantic plotline. Like they are working together not because they wanna bone, but because it is the most strategic thing to do. And Janx writes strategy really well. I felt like the fight scenes drug on a little long, and I would have liked them to be shorter and interlaced with more emotion, instead of blow by blow. Plus I think with the word limitations they could have gotten more bang for their buck with some better wrap up. I wish that things had turned out a little differently, the events on Namek were so similar to canon, and I wonder what could have happened differently than canon with this AU. Overall a fun and easy read, if not a little dry - definitely something that I would recommend to someone who is not interested in a romantic plotline.

Ok so this has a full story arc and whoa buddy is it a doozy. Its intriguing, cause there is this wonderful mishmash of all these fantastic post-apocalyptic cyber-punky worlds and it just works really really well together. From the Big Brother aspect of 1984 to the Ghost in the Machine philosophy that spawned so much, it captures that feel of the grey maddening world. I loved and hated the first chapter, cause I thought the whole story would be written this way (which would make a really cool story BTW, just really hard to follow cause you have to really pay attention). I love the world, I love the plot and intrigue and how DARK it is, I love the mini romance, but I REALLY love the twist. I mean you kinda see it coming, but hope it doesn’t happen, but it is perfect cause it closes the story well, and then leaves you NEEDING the next part of the series. Really fantastic job, yall should read this one definitely.

When the outlines were dropped this was one that i was dying to read. I am super intrigued by this idea of the Saiyan creation myth. I am curious how the Vegeta destruction God and Bulma creation Goddess could come around later as some sort of destined lovers trope. I really liked the nods to cannon (omg buu being the God of Destructions bubblegum is awesome) i wish it was finished, so i have a hard time really commenting much more on it, but i definitely hope it gets finished cause it has such an interesting premise. I also have to say that while I like the story, the writing feels very proper and antiquated. Now it may very well be that this is a style choice because of the story, but I struggled with it a little.

The very first chapter of Dark Prince had me so nostalgic for Obsidian. The demon pact to save the company(world), the ability for Bulma to be taken care of “magically”. Then it splintered into this interesting mix of like… underworld mafia hitmen meets Death Note. I think that EBK is on point with all her references, something she does really well in her fics. I know a lot of people really liked this fic, but it just fell flat for me. Don’t get me wrong, it had some wonderful moments, and wonderfully smutty! It just felt so rushed. It was too insta-love for me, and I wished the development of the Ray betrayal scene, subsequent rescue and the aftermath all could have been developed and drawn out more. I liked this story, but coming from the writer of Stages of a Claim (my absolute favorite of hers, fight me) I just expected this to be a little more developed and polished.

I liked this one. It is based off the book of Esther and I wish she would have adapted the story a little more to fit the characters better. Bulma seemed out of character a bit and I imagine her relying more on her own brains and technology to bring people through rough times than a God. I do think this book of the Bible works well as a VegeBul adaptation though, and except for a few things I really think lisa did a good job with it. The flow was mostly really good, I feel like she was battling word count, or maybe time limits cause some things felt so rushed. While I understand she is remaining faithful to the source, I wish some more creative liberties were taken. For example, I would either omit the Zarbon/Dodoria plot line and focus on Ray being the big baddie, he seems to just come out of nowhere as the bad guy and I wish there had been more foreshadowing of him being a douche than just “There are a lot of Saiyans who want to exterminate humans” The story however was very fun to read. Descriptors were vivid and made the world feel more real. The relationship felt forced, but honest - true, cause hell it was forced. The Epilogue of sorts was nice cause you got to see how their relationship developed and grew. Overall a quick, simple read that was fun!

So this is my piece for the Mini Bang, and since I am biased, I will just tell you a little about the piece. It was inspired by RPG’s like Dungeons and Dragons (and you nerds out there may catch some of the DnD easter eggs I put in there) and epic fantasy. My main thought was, what if Bulma and Vegeta’s roles were completely reversed? So we tell the story of their lives with the idea that Bulma was in the PTO for years, while Vegeta has been living peacefully on his home planet. Not everything is OK on Vegeta-sei though, so trouble is brewing. As with a role reversal story, this is told through the eyes of the opposite person, AKA Vegeta. This is the first part in a trilogy that I have named Surgere et Cadere, and the next installment will be called Imperium. This first part follows us through the story of Vegeta and Bulma’s meeting, and the consequences of her being on Vegeta-sei. I really hope you enjoy my submission!
So I know that I had a top three for the Big Bang, but there are SO MANY fics for the Mini, I am gonna do a top five!! It was really hard to pick these, cause there are some really fantastic stories for this event!! In no particular order, the pieces that I think are the best 5 are:  Beatae Memoriae, by @ambrosiaswhispers, Elusion by @piccoloisgreen,  Revel (In Our Time) by @jadefyre, #badman by @1vulgarwoman and Sanguinary by ME ;P!

Kdrama Recommendations 2018
*not just dramas from 2018 but ones i have completed in 2018 and enjoyed*
✨Just Between Lovers- My favorite drama from this year even though it began in 2017.   If you are looking for a drama with romance, angst, comfort, and just beautiful scenery, acting, a couple that love and respect each other a lot, and great music, this is the drama for you.
✨I Am Not A Robot- Equally funny, sad and romantic, I loved this drama a lot more than I thought I would.  Yoo Seung-ho can like... get it.  The chemistry between the leads was really great and it  showed in the kiss scenes;) Overall a just really enjoyable drama.
✨Secret Love- Okay so this is an older drama that ran during 2013.  It stars Ji Sung and Hwang Jung-eum who are both master actors and also starred together in the later Kill Me Heal Me. This is a complete melodrama and each episode was a ride. Seeing Hwang Jung-eum in a role like this was really refreshing and showed the scope of her acting ability.
✨I Am Human Too- Seo Kang-joon truly shines in this role as a sweet, innocent robot and also a jaded, angry chaebol.  Every episode kept me on the edge of my seat and the romance was so sweet that your blood sugar levels might spike just from watching.
✨The Rise of Phoenixes- I am still in physical and emotional pain from this historical, romance, political drama. While it’s technically not a kdrama I still had to include it because of my love for it.  It made me have the same feelings that Moon Lovers did and the main female character is literally amazing.  The acting, set and costumes are to die for and it is also one of the only cdramas that has no voiceover which made it feel more real.
✨Ashes of Love- Another cdrama but I also really enjoyed this one.  It is said to be a lot like Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms which I haven’t seen but have heard good things about. The romance between the two leads was very cute and swoon-worthy and if you like fantasy-like dramas you might enjoy this one.
✨My ID is Gangnam Beauty- A drama that focuses on the fixation on outer beauty and perfection in Korea; that also features a make over but doesn’t show it in a completely positive light? Sign me up please. Plus Cha Eun-Woo is the most beautiful and kind person in this world and everyone should check out Astro because they are super talented and deserve more attention.
✨Save Me- This drama was so different then anything I had watched before with its creepy cult plot line and thriller-esque moments. Seo Ye-ji played her part perfectly as did one of my favorite up and coming actors, Woo Do-hwan.  I suggest this if you want something out of the norm and super captivating.
✨Thirty But Seventeen- This is the definition of a feel good, rom-com.  You can just sit back and enjoy it without having to think too hard about what is going on.  All the actors are super talented and make you love the characters they portray.
✨Six Flying Dragons- Aired in 2015, this drama is a historical epic filled with action, political intrigue, revenge, and tragic romances. I was absolutely blown away with how good this drama was and how much I loved every character.  It was my last drama of the year and I couldn’t have ended it on a better one.

"Captain Marvel" review -  Not terrible, but not marvelous either.
Tumblr media
As we all know, the latest MCU movie "Captain Marvel" had finally reached our cinemas, and thus after months of drama surrounding it, with one group hailing it as the best thing Marvel ever did, and other claiming it would be a movie that would destroy the whole franchise... before anyone had a chance to see it... we can finally see how is it.
And well...
In my opinion it's a solid Marvel movie, not bad or anything, but nothing special either, something around the level of "Captain America - The First Avenger", or first "Thor".
It has it's moments, but compared to previous MCU movies like "Doctor Strange" or "Black Panther" it lacks something that would make it special and unique.
I mean, with "Doctor Strange" we had our first introduction to magical side of MCU, plus trippy visuals connected with the Mirror World, and "Black Panther" had introduced us to the whole new culture and unique visual style of Wakanda, so they had something going for them even in their weaker moments.
And I don't think "Captain Marvel" has something like that.
I mean, 90's references are cool and I got a few chuckles out of them, but if I wanted to remind myself of those dumb and glorious times, when I was younger, slimmer and less cynical I could go on Tumblr...
Oh, yeah I am already here.
And people who don't remember those times would probably be as baffled by seeing pager and dial-up modems, as they were be seeing alien cities and spaceships...
But let's start at the beginning, that is with the plot.
Our heroine is Vers, a member of an elite military unit known as Starforce serving the interstellar Kree Empire, but despite her unquestionable power and fighting skills, her commander and mentor Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) has doubts about her performance, since she has a tendency to let her emotions guide her, something that Kree warrior shouldn't do.
Tumblr media
Yeah, this cyborg guy from “Guardians of The Galaxy” is there too...
Vers emotional problems are connected with the fact that she lacks memories from before she joined the unit, and is tormented by recurring nightmares where she sees chaotic and fragmented pieces of her past.
Still, as I mentioned before, she is still a powerful and confident warrior, so despite Yon-Rogg's doubts, she takes part in a mission to extract a deep-cover Kree agent from one of the border planets controlled by an ancient enemy of her people, a shapeshifting race of Skrulls.
Mission ends badly, as it turns out that the agent was already compromised by Skrulls and Vers is captured during a resulting ambush by a Skrull commander, Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who used some kind of memory probe to access her buried memories... that turn out to be about her previous life, but not on one of Kree planets, but rather on a primitive, backwater planet C-53, also known as Earth.
Apparently Skrulls are looking for a scientist known as doctor Wendy Lawson (Annette Bening), that Vers somehow used to know, and who according to her memories developed some kind of new faster-than-light engine.
Vers manages to escape captivity using her ability to generate energy blasts from her hands, as well as her hand-to-hand skills, but the escape pod she steals from Skrulls gets damaged, causing her to crash-land on Earth, to be precise in one of Los Angeles Blockbuster Video stores.
Does anyone remember Blockbuster Video anymore? Sorry, getting back on the topic...
Her less-than-stealthy arrival alerts the local authorities, including a pair of S.H.I.E.L.D agents, Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Mothafu#kin Jackson), who are a bit skeptical when a woman "dressed like for Lazer Tag" tells them she is an alien soldier who hunts other aliens, who are shapeshifters, but they are attacked by one of Talos's troops, confirming that her story is true.
And thus Vers and Fury would have to join forces to stop Skrulls and find the truth about our heroine, from her fragmented memories...
Before the movie I was curious and to be honest rather worried about how screenwriters would tackle the backstory of Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, since in the comics it was rebooted so many times, that I doubt that even people writing her remember about everything, with numerous costume, identity and power changes, not to even mention new personality traits with each new writer...
But they did managed to jump this hurdle, by creating a completely new origin story from the ground up, that while using certain elements from her comic book counterparts, gives us something relatively simple, and accessible to causal moviegoers and hardcore nerds alike.
And let's be honest, since Carol is not exactly the most popular character ever, despite numerous attempts at making her relevant in the last few years, so I don't think there would be any purist fans outraged by the changes made for the movie.
I mean, whole cast of "Guardians of The Galaxy" had undergone massive changes, and everybody was OK with that, heck some of those changes were even retconned into comics, so probably here it would also work that way.
As for the plot itself, it really did reminded me of first "Thor".
I mean, we have a superhero from an advanced race, that is dumped on Earth without having any idea of how the place works, but finds a hypercompetent human sidekick, and together they stand against Big Bad only for The Hero to unlock their True Power in the third act.
Yeah... Seems kinda familiar, eh?
It's not necessarily bad or anything, but it's really a shame that some things hadn't been expanded upon a bit, like Kree culture, relationship between Carol a.k.a Vers and Yon-Rogg, etc.
I mean "Black Panther" managed to fit whole three act formula into the plot, while also show the viewers quite a lot about Wakanda, so why not here?
Movie also drags a bit in the middle, as save for two action scenes, most of the story-arc is comprised of our heroine and Fury driving from place to place looking for answers, talking a bit and so on, which is not really adrenaline-filled superhero cinema...
It hadn't reached the point when I got really bored, mainly due to good chemistry Larson and Jackson have together, but I did though that MCU movies managed to overcome their pacing problems after Phase One, so it wasn't a pleasant surprise seeing that they had taken two steps back here.
Another controversy about the movie way before it's release was our lead, Brie Larson, not only because of doubts about her acting prowess, but also quite a few ill-thought things she said be it in interviews, or through Twitter, but the latter is not really important here, so let's focus on the former.
After watching trailers and promo clips quite a few people were doubting Larson's ability to carry the movie, and accusing her acting of being "stiff" and "emotionless" and they were partially right, though I am not sure all the blame can be put on actress herself.
Vers/Carol does seem rather stiff and emotionless through most of the movie, but it looks more like a conscious decision of director's part, as I mentioned Kree pride themselves on controlling their emotions, which is fine, but severely limited Larson in the role, as it's hard to say anything about her character's personality.
I mean, there are a few scenes when she does show that she can act, usually during her scenes with Nick Fury, cause as I mentioned before, they have a nice chemistry together, flashbacks from before she was trained as a Kree warrior, but still comes out a bit bland through most of the runtime.
It becomes even more jarring during the scene when Vars meets her old friend Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), who is rather shocked to see her, torn between happiness and confusion, giving a strong, emotional performance... while Larson keeps the same facial expression through most of it.
As I mentioned before, it's not the actress's fault, but it does harm the movie on some level.
Samuel L. Jackson however absolutely nails it as younger, less cynical Fury.
Tumblr media
Now, we got used to gruff, no-nonsense and properly paranoid commander of S.H.I.E.L.D but here we get Nick who sees a being with superpowers for the first time in his life, and is appropriately shocked / awed by the fact that aliens exist, which gives Mr. Jackson an opportunity to have a bit of a fun with the character.
I mean, I had never expected to see Fury going "oh so cute" about a cat, or freaking out about seeing an alien, but it's lot of fun watching him do it, and judging from his actor, a lot fun to play it, which is rather infectious.
Tumblr media
Also, this cat is awesome.
Sadly, yet again movie’s villain remains one of it’s weak points.
Tumblr media
I mean, damn, I really though that after "Black Panther" and "Infinity War" we got over the so-called "Marvel Curse" and villains who are not Loki wouldn't suck anymore. And yet, here we are, back to square one...
Now, don't get me wrong, Ben Mendelsohn does what he can to sell Skrulls leader, and even managed to have some fun with his portrayal.
For example being rather laid-back and even funny in his true form, and a bit stern and stiff in his preferred human form, as well as giving each of them a different accent, but as they say, You cannot get water out of a stone.
He got very little to work with in terms of motivations, background or even personality of his character, making Talos quite flat, despite the actor's best efforts.
If I had to compare it to other Marvel villains, he would be right there with Malekith the Accursed from "Thor - The Dark World", as both movies had absolutely wasted a great actor due to not giving him anything he can use, nor any freedom to flesh the character out, which is a damned shame.
I mean, they tried with a bit of a twist near the end, but You can see it coming from miles away, so it's not really a surprise, and nor does it help our villain in the slightest.
What else...
... Oh yeah, I had evaded this particular elephant in the room for long enough.
Before the movie premiered many people, myself included, were afraid that it would delve too much into politics, since both the cast and Marvel PR people were putting a lot of emphasis on the feminist message of "Captain Marvel", throwing the phrase "First Female Marvel Hero" etc.
Thus I had expected a sexist, and politics heavy crap like "Ghostbusters 2016", but really for all the bluster of Marvel execs, and journalists focusing of this, the whole "feminist" part of the movie turned out to be nearly nonexistent.
I mean, sure we get a scene with male soldiers telling Carol she is "too weak" to be a pilot, or a guy who obnoxiously tries to pick her up, but it's not like the movie spends extended periods of time on it, or goes to extreme length to show all men as idiots, manbabies and chauvinists, as "Ghostbusters" did, so really there was no point to the whole sh#tstorm about it in the first place.
And really, "Wonder Woman" was really a lot more about "Girl Power" than this movie, so I don't think that people who expected it to be about "powerful femininity" and stuff would be totally satisfied with it...
Other than that, we get good special effects (Especially the ones used to de-age Jackson and Gregg), few nice fight scenes, especially in the third act, overall good acting despite problem mentioned above, and a few obligatory callbacks to other MCU movies...
And that's basically it.
It's a competently done movie that nevertheless lacks the bang it supposed to have, and I think that in a few weeks most people would forget about it, like they probably did with "Doctor Strange" and "Ant-Man & The Wasp", because they would be busy talking about "Endgame".
It would still make a ton of money, as all MCU movies do, even if it clearly show that their formula got a bit stale at this point, and even without making a lasting impression it was a well-made popcorn flick.
Still, it shows that Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel does have a potential as a movie character, despite all weird stuff Marvel did with her comic book counterpart, but it wasn't the time when this potential had the chance to be fully utilized. So, better luck next time, Carol?

Cinematic Comic Characters Ranked! (Year 2011) Final Part
This year I think has the most characters ranked so far, and all from movies introducing brand new characters. X-Men franchise gets a reboot with X-Men: First Class; The MCU welcomes the additions of Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger; DC Comics introduces Green Lantern, and we also get The Adventures of Tintin, Cowboys & Aliens, The Green Hornet, and Priest. Here’s the TOP 20!
*SPOILER ALERT FOR THE HIGHLIGHTED MOVIES MENTIONED ABOVE*
20. Kato (The Green Hornet)
Tumblr media
"Go be a journalist. I'll kick ass."
If anyone should have been the Green Hornet, it should have be Kato. His fighting skills are great, his driving skills are even better, and his abilities with machinery have not only created the best cars for fighting crime, but also the best coffee machines. Instead he chooses to be Britt's sidekick and even though he kicks the other dude's ass on several occasions, Kato still decides to put up with him for reasons no one will understand. Oh and he can't swim, which is random, but yeah.
19. Heimdall (Thor)
Tumblr media
"I need no longer to obey you!"
Heimdall is the seer of all things and protects the portal outside of Asgard. When the Frost Giants break into Asgard he suspects someone has figured out how to fool his abilities, and what a greater suspect than the master of illusion himself, Loki. He suspicion for the male increases when Loki becomes King and he not only sends Thor's friends to retrieve him from Earth but he also tries to attack Loki himself. Loki freezes him but his will to protect Asgard gives him the strength to break free and bring Thor and his friends back home.
18. Captain Haddock (The Adventures of Tintin)
"You hit a wall, you push through it."
He might be drunk, but you can't take away Haddock's passion towards life and the seas. It's in his blood to be a true adventure seeker in the ocean and his biggest adventure comes when Tintin reveals his ancestor, Sir Francis, has hidden away treasure. The pair work brilliantly together and in the end, Haddock takes down his biggest rival while restoring honor back to his family's name.
17. Priestess (Priest)
Tumblr media
"We've all sacrificed. Some more than others."
When the church sends Priestess to hunt down Priest for breaking his vow, she decides to join him in his quest instead. She's a huge gain to the cause, she seems to have the same skills as Priest and is also to help him almost instantly when he needs it, which is most of the time. In fact, during the last stand, Priestess not only takes out all the familiars, but she distracts Black Hat from killing Priest and also blows up the train full of vampires that would have otherwise destroyed their city. It's hinted she has feelings for Priest but she puts them aside to recruit the rest of the priests to help them on their future missions.
16. Jane Foster (Thor)
Tumblr media
"Magic's just science we don't understand yet."
Jane's passion for science goes beyond the facts in front of her. She constantly tries to push the limit so that she can discover something truly amazing. It comes of the form of Thor, the god of thunder and someone she manages to hit with her car. Twice. She may not fully believe his stories at first, his unique charm really helps the chemistry between them and she does what she can to help him retrieve his mighty hammer, even if technically she only did it so she could get her research back from SHIELD. When Thor returns to Asgard she isn't sure whether or not she'll see him again, so instead of waiting to find out, she's back in the lab, trying to figure out how to reach him on her own.
15. Jake Lonergan (Cowboys & Aliens)
Tumblr media
"I'm a wanted man."
Even though he lost his memory, Jake at least was able to kick into his natural instincts from the get go. With his fancy little alien gun he becomes the leader of the human resistance against the aliens. Turns out he managed to escape the alien captivity after his wife is killed and he slash's an alien's eye to escape. He casually handles every obstacle that gets into his way until he ends up actually getting caught by said alien but manages to kill him with the help of Dolarhyde. With the town in his debt, Jake is announced a free man and is no longer at risk of rotting in a jail cell.
14. Peggy Carter/Agent Carter (Captain America: The First Avenger)
Tumblr media
"I can do more than that."
Yo, Peggy was a freaking force of nature. She literally did everything the soldiers around her did but in heels! It was her training that showed everyone that Steve was ready for the super soldier serum and she even got to show how sick she is with a gun when Red Skull's assassin snuck into their headquarters. It sucks that Steve had to die just shortly after their relationship was starting to go to the next level, but I'm pretty sure Agent Carter goes on to be the best agent this country has seen.
13. Sebastian Shaw (X-Men: First Class)
Tumblr media
"We are the future of the human race."
One always wonders what kinds of horrors Magento must've have went through in the concentration camps that caused his hatred for humans, and most of the horrors were because of Sebastian Shaw. Wanting to learn more about mutant abilities, Shaw tortures Erik and even kills his mother to get his research. He seems unfazed by the kid's growing hatred and power and it's probably because he's not only the leader of the Hellfire Club, an organization of powerful mutants, he's also a powerful mutant himself. He can direct every type of bullet/energy into destruction for his enemies. His main goal is to create WWIII, a nuclear war that would kill the human race and leave him to rule the mutant survivors. He has the charisma to get away with it, but with Magneto as an enemy, he stood no chance. Killed by the very quarter he used in Erik's lessons, Shaw's dreams do actually end up living on through Magneto.
12. Hicks (Priest)
"Point A? Meet Point fucking B."
I thought Hicks was going to be that guy who always gets in the way but that wasn't the case at all. He really handled himself for someone who has never gone up against vampires, his skills easily proving why he was the sheriff despite his young age. Even though he wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as he had without Priest and Priestess, he was a great supporting character who even saved Priest towards the end. Of course his main goal is to save his girlfriend, Lucy, and he's able to do just that.
11. Hank McCoy/Beast (X-Men: First Class)
Tumblr media
"Don't mock me!"
Hank is a sweet boy who, like Mystique, wants to hide the more uglier effects of his mutation. In his case it's his feet even though his skills when he uses them is what attracts Raven to him in the first place. Still, his feelings for her aren't enough to keep him from taking the serum he created but it only makes matters worse and turns him into the blue Beast we all recognize today. He accepts his mutant self after this, but its clear that whatever he had with Mystique is over as she decides to join Magneto's Brotherhood and he stays with Charles.
10. Odin (Thor)
Tumblr media
"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor!"
Odin is an honorable King of Asgard, who truly makes every decision for a specific reason. But even he has trouble raising his two sons. On one hand he has Thor, who isn't quite ready to rule as he's too hot headed to truly make decisions with the kingdom's interest at heart. It must've been so hard for Odin to banish him, but it's what needed to be done for him to truly understands what it means to rule unselfishly. Then on the other hand he has Loki, who has been plotting to take over since the very beginning and gets even more fuel when he finds out he's adopted. All of it is too much and Odin ends up slipping into a cosmic coma until the very end of the film, where he acknowledges the growth in Thor now that he's saved Asgard.
9. Priest (Priest)
Tumblr media
"Then I go against God."
Most of the priests and priestess are recruited into the church when they are young, but for some reason Priest joins when he's an adult. You'd think this would make him weaker than the rest but it seems he's not only the strongest, but also their leader. When the vampires are defeated, he goes into hiding until his old ally-turned-vampire kidnaps his daughter, Lucy, who thinks she's his niece because his brother agreed to raise her when he was taken away. With the help of Priestess and Hicks, Priest defeats Black Hat and rescues Lucy, but that's just the beginning of their problems. Priest discovers the vampire queen is still alive and goes after her, completing ignoring the church's protests once again.
8. Tintin and Snowy (The Adventures of Tintin)
"Snowy, look at this!"
At just the ripe age of seventeen, Tintin has traveled the world and solved some of it's biggest mysteries for his newspaper. The kid even carries a gun around, which does end up coming in handing when he gets wrapped up in solving the mystery of the Unicorn. He's not alone though as most of his discoveries come from the help and guidance of his trusy companion, Snowy. The two end up helping a captain named Haddock in finding his ancestor's last treasure, while also dealing with an enemy that is hellbent on revenge. Still, this adventure is nothing new for Tintin and Snowy and they're able to piece together the remaining pieces of the puzzle and find Sir Francis's lost treasure.
7. Hal Jordan/Green Lantern (Green Lantern)
Tumblr media
"Let me go fight for my world and I'll show you that will is stronger than fear."
Hal's a likable guy, despite having a bit of an ego that comes along with it. Yes, he's extremely reckless at times, but he's got that spunk that allows him to think outside of the box, which is another reason why he was chosen to be the next Green Lantern after Abin Sur dies. Throughout the film we keep seeing everyone doubt him because he does have fear in his heart, a lot of it having to due with his father's death, but it's at the end he shows everyone that it's ok to be afraid, it's how you overcome it that matters. With this discovery he's able to defeat Parralax, a task some of the strongest Lanterns died trying to do, and finally earns his spot among the Corps.
6. Raven Darkholme/Mystique (X-Men: First Class)
Tumblr media
"Mutant and proud."
It was so interesting to see Mystique in this light. In the previous films we had this hard, deadly assassin that was one of Magneto's biggest threats against the humans and now we got to see how that came to be. Before she was the intimidating mutant we know, Raven was just a scared girl who Charles adopted as a sister and who was ashamed by how she looks. But then she's around other mutants and she slowly starts to accept herself and even comes up with everyone's codenames, but then there's little things that set her back. One, Charles is a bit of a jerk to her and keeps holding her to expectations that I don't think are necessary when he doesn't try to understand what it's like to be in her shoes. Then there's Hank who does know what it's like to have to hide, and who Raven definitely likes, but isn't secure with his own looks and even encourages her to continue to hide who she is. But with all of this, Erik stays as a constant reminder that she is perfect the way she is and that anyone else would be lucky to have her gifts. After that, it's not hard to understand why she chooses him at the end of the movie.
5. Loki (Thor)
Tumblr media
"I never wanted the throne, I only ever wanted to be your equal!"
I'm quite familiar with Norse mythology even before I really got into comics so I knew right away that Loki was not this concerned brother he was set out to be at the beginning of the film. It was surprising to find out that not only had he constructed literally everything that happened in order to take the throne for himself (except for Odin going in a coma, that was just luck) but he's also adopted and really belongs to the King of the Frost Giants. He tries to take out Thor and use the Frost Giants to kill his father but when Thor returns he tries to save himself by attempting to destroy the Frost Giant's world as a way to appease his father. Thor stops him, however, and Loki freefalls out of Asgard but somehow manages to take control of a human on Earth just as that human meets with Nick Fury to discuss a very powerful artifact.
4. Thor (Thor)
Tumblr media
"For the first time in my life, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do."
The introduction of Thor. We don't see him become the great hero he already is and how he got to control the mighty hammer, but we do see he still has a lot of growing to do before he's fit to rule Asgard. His growth in character comes with the help of some humans on Earth, specifically Jane, who shows him that there are different ways to handle situations instead of brute force. His growth couldn't have come at a better time as he has to face off against his brother, Loki, who practically manipulated everything leading to Thor's banishment. His moment finally comes during his final fight with Loki, when he destroys the bridge that would allow him to see Jane again. He gives her up for the kingdom's safety, truly learning how a king rules with his kingdom's interest at heart. He loses the chances of seeing Jane and also loses his brother, but he's able to reconcile with his father and the support of his friends gives hope that one day, him and Jane will reunite.
3. Charles Xavier/Professor X (X-Men: First Class)
Tumblr media
"You're not alone."
Who knew that Porfessor X, the father figure of many future mutant students and X-Men, was such a Casanova when he was younger. I see the appeal, who wouldn't like a guy who knows exactly what to say, in the most charming way possible? Still, despite all the wild nights he has, Charles is quick to get serious when the opportunity comes to meet other mutants like himself. After meeting Erik and the others, Charles tries to bring them in on his vision of peace and working together with the humans. Of course Shaw ends up causing a big flaw in his plan and despite becoming like a brother to Erik, he ends up losing the other to his hatred of humans. He loses more than that when Erik accidentally forces a bullet into his spine, leaving him unable to walk. Understanding their views can never be the same, they separate and Charles opens up his school to all mutants for sanctuary.
2. Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (X-Men: First Class)
Tumblr media
"Peace was never an option."
The best origin story of the X-Men, is how their greatest enemy came to be. We watch as Magneto suffers at the hands of Shaw and the Nazis for his powers and then uses said powers to hunt them down one by one. When he fails to kill Shaw, he meets Charles Xavier and the two begin a friendship as they use their two ideologies to meet other mutants like themselves. One thing I liked about Erik is his ability to learn fast. After Emma Frost bests him during their first one, he's quick to understand her threat and quickly handles her during their next confrontation in Russia. When training he allows Charles to open up his mind to advance his skills, and he also opens up Mystique's mind to her appearance. At the last possible second, Erik shuts Charles out when he confronts Shaw, killing him with the same quarter that lead to his mother's death. He needs to work on his accountability a little though, as it was him who deflected the bullet into Charles that handicaps him. Still, it doesn't stop him from starting the Brotherhood and becoming the villain we all know...Magneto.
1. Steve Rogers/Captain America (Captain America: The First Avenger)
Tumblr media
"I could do this all day."
Captain America is the ultimate triumphant tale of the underdog. Steve Rogers was a weak tiny man who seemed to have so many illnesses that I thought he belonged in a plastic bubble. But the kid had heart and a true sense of doing the right thing, which is why he was perfect to become Captain America. And while his transformation was a HUGE success, and I'm not just talking about his physical appearance, it took awhile for him to really see some action. Throughout the film we see that even though he's got all of these enhanced abilities, he's still just a kid from Brooklyn. He's still dorky when he's around Peggy, he still mourned heavily after Bucky's death, and he still never backed down from a fight. Despite all the terrible things Red Skull committed, Steve never even batted an eyelash when it came to taking him down, or even sacrificing himself to save millions of lives. He's a true hero for the little guy, wonder how he'll do now that he's woken up more than seventy years into the future.

Fabulous Weekend Reylo FanFic Updates - Pandora’s mini-reviews!
It’s a good weekend to be reading on AO3!!! I saw two fics I follow update, and rumors are imminent of a third, the highly anticipated conclusion to @perrydowning’s Thwarted, no less!
Here’s a summary of three awesome fics without spoilers in case you are brand new to them and where to find them (click on their titles). Please feel free to reblog and add your own fics you are reading right now and why you like them! And please leave comments, even if it’s short. We’re so blessed to have such splendid writers in the fandom, and a lot of time, thought, and agonizing revisions go on behind the scenes that we don’t see!
1. Splintered by @daxcat79 - updated with Chapter 26!
Author’s Summary:
Murdering his own father has left Kylo Ren splintered into two personalities representing darkness (Kylo Ren) and light (Ben Solo). Rey’s strange bond with him has her caught in the middle, struggling with conflicting feelings of her own.
Why I love it -  Dark and Light, Good & Evil - are Kylo and Ben’s separate personalities that cut and dry, or are they something more? I stumbled on this right after seeing The Last Jedi trailer and was captivated! The writing style is vivid but not overly wordy (can you tell I’m a finicky reader)? Quoting the author from the comments, this is a “psychological drama with romance and action mixed in” with twists and turns! Well thought out, well written, and thought-provoking! Don’t miss!
2.  Sanctuary by @terapid - updated with Chapter 15!
Author’s Summary:
High school senior Rey Kenobi has a secret. For the past year, she's been haunted by psychic visions and lucid dreams. Discovering that her visions are accurate to an alarming degree, Rey goes in search of answers. She quickly uncovers a shocking truth—she's not the only person at school with special abilities. There are others, but none of them are as powerful or mysterious as Professor Ben Solo. Ben has taken a special interest in the girl and he already has plans for her talents. Rey knows that Ben Solo is hiding something big... something that will challenge her very faith and threaten to destroy everything that she holds dear.
Why I love it -  I’m a sucker for a Gothic suspense with a paranormal twist, sexual tension, angels and demons, Catholic boarding schools, and a plot as good as a Hitchcock movie!  All the familiar cast are here, but if you think you know what “side” they are on, you might be mistaken! Read the first chapter, and if you’re hooked, know that it just keeps getting better from there! The author is descriptive and imaginative. I was holding my breath several times during key scenes that I don’t want to spoil for you. A great read for October! The chemistry between this “Ben/Kylo” and Rey is combustible, and at the present chapter, I guess you could say the author “brought the heat!” (And how!)
3. Thwarted by @perrydowning - getting close to the final chapters being posted!
Author’s Summary:
It has been nine months since Starkiller and Kylo Ren has become something more. The light still pulls at him from time to time but after the price he has paid, he has been relentless in his pursuit of the dark. And then when Snoke had dared stand in his way, tried to take Rey from him … new power had been born that day. Black and deep. The endless abyss that is Kylo Ren in love.
Why I love it - If a handsome gorgeous man captured you and gave you everything your heart desired except your freedom, would you be happy? This is the main premise I’ve drawn from this excellent, beautifully worded fic. At first, my response was, “Hell, yes!” but soon I started seeing Rey’s POV, as well as the angst-ridden, tragic figure of Kylo Ren. It’s definitely a slow burn, but very seductive, along with perfectly timed sly humor!
This really gets into the psychology of the two characters, added by well-drawn original characters who step in to highlight what’s going on. I just started this not too long ago and am about a third of the way through! I’m 26 chapters in, and I can tell you it will hook you from the start! The plot stays mainly and almost exclusively on Kylo and Rey without a lot of extraneous action elsewhere going on.
***
The above are just 3 fics I’m currently reading, so I’m not meaning to leave anyone out, but I’ve probably hit my word limit! Feel free to reblog and add your own Reylo fanfic recommendations! Kudos and thanks to these authors and all authors out there who provide us with such thrilling hours of (free) entertainment! Thank you!
Happy Reading!

Shows I highly recommend you to binge-watch - Part II
Let’s get into business and start with one you actually might find useful during these quarantine times; I’m talking about “Tidying up with Mary Kondo”.
Tumblr media
In this reality show, Marie Kondo (international tidiness expert, best-seller author, and creator of the Konmari Method) and her interpreter visit American families in need of decluttering their houses and, in some way, also their lives. It’s incredible how a little organization here and there has such a positive impact on the relationship and well-being of all members of a family. The thing I liked the most about it is that even though organizing your whole house can be overwhelming, Kondo gives specific and easy-to-follow tips that you can actually put into practice. You learn everything: from how to correctly fold your shirts to how to display items in your kitchen. So, if you’re looking for some inspiration to get out of the couch and transform your house into a temple during this quarantine, there you have it.
Tumblr media
The next show I’d like to recommend is “Sense8″. It follows the stories of eight people from different countries who are an advanced species of humans. They have a sensorial connection that allows them to astral project and visit each other, feel what the other members of their cluster are feeling, use each other’s abilities, speak each other’s languages and even have sex with each other (WARNING! If you are under 18 this show is not for you). Seeing a show that depicts people from different nationalities, genders, backgrounds, and sexual orientations was so refreshing. The story, the mythology, the characters, and the chemistry between them, the diversity, everything about this series was so captivating and beautiful. I was truly devastated when I knew that it was not going to be renewed for more seasons.
Tumblr media
The premise of “Lucifer”, my next recommendation, might be a little quirky. So, the Devil (a.k.a Lucifer Morningstar) got tired of his job in Hell and decided to come to Earth with Mazikeen, a demoness, and open a night club in L.A. Then, he partners with local detective Chloe to solve crimes. This series combines two genres: fantasy and police thriller (and comedy thanks to Lucifer himself). Sometimes, the series can get monotonous because it relies on the same old resource that many other series and movies in Hollywood have used for years: to make a couple of detectives with opposite personalities team-up. What I really enjoyed about the show though was the supernatural part because I’m all about spooky things. Another thing that I liked was how charismatic the characters were, especially Lucifer who is just so charming and handsome #fangirling
Tumblr media
Let’s continue with another supernatural/fantasy show: “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”. This one, besides, includes some teenage drama and horror and it’s super different from the 1990s Nickelodeon’s adaptation: this one is much darker and not so comedic. So, Sabrina Spellman is a half-witch/ half-human teenager (we later find out she’s actually much more than that)  who, at first, struggles to keep the balance between her two worlds but later transforms into a very powerful woman while she discovers her true origins. I love spooky things, trust me, but sometimes this series was a bit too much for me (I was raised Catholic and the whole Satanist thing made me feel that I should not be watching the show at all lol 😅). Despite this, I actually liked the show a lot because it has a cool aesthetic and the mythology, rituals, and beliefs depicted were very complex and interesting. A good show to binge-watch on Halloween.
Tumblr media
The next series is kind of a cheat because it is not on Netflix now, but it was there when I watched it. “Hannibal” is a new retake on the famous doctor/cannibal from the books and movies. Despite the show being named after the fore mentioned character, I would say the true protagonist of the story is detective Will Graham. He is not your typical macho man tough police guy; he has a different masculinity. He is sensitive and empathetic and that’s, precisely, what makes him so good at his job. Even though it kind of follows the classic crime-solving formula of many other police thrillers, this series goes beyond. It is so aesthetically pleasing that, literally, makes murder, dismantled bodies, and cannibalism look like art. Getting to know the psychology of the characters and how intricate it is also makes this show involving and that’s why I recommend it 100% (unless gore makes you super uncomfortable or you are under 18).
Tumblr media
Last but not least, a Colombian limited series that blew my mind: “Green Frontier” 🤯. It might look at first sight as another police and crime-solving plot but, believe me, it is so much more than that! The story takes place in the Amazon rain-forest and that alone makes it so beautiful because of how magnificent la Manigua is. The jungle here is like another character and, besides, it makes the aesthetic so different from the urban setting that most police series usually have. This amazing show has so many things: magic, wormholes, indigenous cosmogony, and even Nazis... I don’t even know how to describe it so you better watch it yourself. You’re not gonna regret it!
Some of these shows I watched a long time ago so it was a bit difficult for me to remember details but I do remember how much I enjoyed them and that’s why I wanted to recommend them. I hope you give these series a chance and like them as much as I did. I will probably be writing another post on some other Netflix’s recommendations soon.
Sara.

The first time Helen Shaver saw Tatiana Maslany on screen, she knew she wanted to work with her.
“I was asked to sit on the jury of the Whistler Film Festival about five years ago,” Shaver recalls. “I was adjudicating films, and there was a small Canadian film called Picture Day that was one of the films that we were looking at. That was the first time I’d ever been conscious of Tatiana, and I watched this movie, and my mouth just dropped, like ‘Who is that?'”
Months later, Shaver was flipping through TV channels in the middle of the night and stumbled upon a first season episode of a new sci-fi series starring a familiar face. She was enthralled. “The next day, I called my agent and said, ‘I want to do Orphan Black,'” she says. “‘It’s a fabulous show, and it has that young woman, Tatiana. I want to direct her.'”
Not only did Shaver’s phone call manifest her wish, but it led to one of her best creative experiences in a 20-year directing career that includes gigs on such TV shows as Judging Amy, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Person of Interest, Vikings and Anne. “I love Orphan Black,” she says, phoning from Los Angeles. “I loved my experience there. For me, as an artist and a collaborator and filmmaker, it really became a creative home.”
Shaver directed only three episodes of the Space hit—which is currently airing its fifth and final season—but she has lensed some of the most memorable scenes of the series: Helena watching Rachel and Paul have sex through her sniper scope, Alison and Donnie twerking and Paul’s death.
And then there are the Cosima and Delphine scenes.
In portraying Orphan Black‘s main romantic couple—coined Cophine by fans—Maslany and co-star Evelyne Brochu have screen-melting chemistry on their own, but Shaver’s direction managed to kick it up a notch, expertly excavating the conflicting motivations pulsing beneath the characters’ tortured scientist/experiment love affair. For example, there is no scene that captures the essence of Cophine’s complicated history more succinctly than in Season 2’s “Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est,” where shots of a fearful Cosima receiving an injection are intercut with images of Delphine comforting her.
The same goes for Season 5’s “Ease For Idle Millionaires,” when the couple finally chooses to stop fighting each other and accept the complex dynamics of their relationship, the camera swirling around past and present versions of them as they build up to a kiss. After the episode aired two weeks ago, Cophine fans swarmed Twitter to post their appreciation of Shaver’s work.
So what is Shaver’s secret to directing such emotionally effective scenes?
“There are many, many elements to the director’s job, but the primary one to me is that the director is the container, the safe room in which actors are willing to speak their personal truths through the mouthpiece of the character,” she explains. “My willingness to be present, it creates a safe space, a womb some might say, where the actors can expose themselves through the characters to each other—and as you see with these two women on screen, it’s compelling beyond belief.”
And Shaver has another directing superpower.
“I’m not afraid of actors,” she says. “I don’t feel the need to minimize that. I truly respect actors.”
While that may seem like a given for someone working in the TV industry, Shaver learned that not everyone shares her view when she crossed over from acting to directing in the 1990s. During her first-ever production prep meeting, someone made a comment that she never forgot. “We were talking and I said, ‘Oh, the actor will need blah, blah blah,’ and somebody—a writer—said, ‘Oh, it’s just a f–king actor,'” she recalls. “And ‘f–king’ was not the important adjective; the important adjective was ‘just.’ The thing is, most people have no concept what acting is, what the internal process of acting is, what the vulnerability, what the exposure, what the trust is, the waiting for an hour while they set up the lights, and now there’s only 10 minutes left and now do your close-up. It’s 7 o’clock in the morning and you’ve been up all night talking to your mother because your father is sick, you still gotta do your close-up. It doesn’t matter. And because most people don’t have a concept of what that is, many people feel like they are held captive by the actor. You need them, but, damn it, there they are with all their humanity and foibles and all the things that you can’t control, and so they are afraid of the actor—and fear is the antidote to creativity.”
“The other thing that happens is kind of a sycophant approach of talking to an actor as if they are a child,” Shaver adds. “Or some emotionally disturbed adolescent who’s going to tear the place down and run screaming from the room or something.”
Obviously, that’s not the environment fostered on Orphan Black, a show that depends on the gifts of its lead actor more than perhaps any other TV show in history, and a show whose lead actor is known nearly as much for her tireless work ethic as she is for her mind-boggling abilities.
“[Tatiana] is just an extraordinary talent,” Shaver says. “Just the breadth of her gift, her willingness, her gift, her intellect, her spirit, her no fuss, no muss [attitude]. And with the extraordinary amount of work that that woman did, there was never a complaint. Just exemplary.”
Shaver also credits Orphan Black co-creators and showrunners Graeme Manson and John Fawcett with giving her the freedom to get the most out of every scene. “The line between writing and directing is not this hard line like some showrunners have, you know, ‘I say she picked up the teacup on this word, so that’s when the teacup gets picked up.’ That’s a sort of thing that exists certainly in some productions, but from the get-go, I was really offered the opportunity to take the material and direct it as a little movie the way I saw.”
That approach allowed Shaver to choreograph the pivotal scene in “Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est” where Rachel sexually dominates Paul in a chair. “The original script, for example, was that Rachel pushes Paul onto the bed and climbs on top of him,” she says. “So I looked at the script and said, ‘OK, Graeme, so we’re looking for female dominated sex, right?’ And he says, ‘Yes.’ So I go, ‘OK, let me think about this.’ During the course of prep, I conceived this whole thing where it was out in the living area of the space, and I thought Rachel is not doing anything for his pleasure. He is there for her. And all of that was not just allowed but encouraged and embraced in the environment that was there.”
Shaver also switched up Cosima and Delphine’s flashback scene in “Ease For Idle Millionaires,” animating a formerly staid scene with all the emotion the situation demanded. “The scene in the flashback was written that they’re sitting on the couch and that’s how it played out in the first rehearsal of it, and it was quite quiet and passive in a sense,” she recalls. “It was a little conversation, and I said, ‘No, wait. Hold on. Let’s go to the beginning of this moment. What is the beginning of this moment?’ There’s this huge betrayal that Cosima is recognizing and also this recognition that she is property. All these things, the pain, the tearing away, the outrage, the betrayal, how can you even stay sitting on the couch beside [Delphine]? And bang, Tatiana was up and then Evelyne was up, and we shot that a number of times, allowing it to evolve in its own way each time. And then in the cutting, once they got into an embrace, using bits from multiple takes so that it builds that kind of cacophony of emotion, which is true to what happens to a human being, not just on the outside but on the inside when such a moment is going on.”
Shaver gives props to Maslany and Brochu for forming a “circuit of energy” with her in order to better understand—and ultimately elevate—the scene. “That’s a complex moment, and these women, as they have each time, completely gave themselves to the moment, to me. And I take it quite personally. I feel like I’m being given an enormous gift. I mean what is greater than to be trusted?”
And while the Cophine scenes will always have a special place in Shaver’s heart—”To me, love is love, and love is the only thing that is real,” she shares—she has a few other favourite Orphan Black memories as well. “I’d say the delirium in Episode 306 [“Certain Agony of the Battlefield”] that begins with Sarah in Mexico going into her dream state through the tunnel into the kitchen with Beth. I’m extraordinarily proud of that on every level. I think it’s exquisite performances—or performance,” she corrects herself, laughing. “It’s all her! I think visually, in terms of my work with the camera, that’s a beautiful piece of work. And the sequence with Helena, Paul and Rachel, I love that very much.”
Most of all, Shaver says she will always remember her relationship with Maslany—who drew her to Orphan Black in the first place, and with whom she will team up with again in early 2018 to film Pamela Sinha’s Happy Place.
“Happy Place explores the lives of seven women aged 23 to 60 who are residents of an in-patient care facility: a microcosm for the world outside its walls. What is it to live inside the suffering of these women...addressing the idea that we are not so different from each other, though our circumstances may be? Each woman must try to find a way to fit into a world that can't respond to or redress a pain that is unseeable. But they are also the ones who can teach one another how to live with what happened to them as no one else ever could. Even if they can't always do it for themselves.” (source)
“I remember the day that Tatiana and I met,” she says. “Even though I’m certainly old enough to be her mother, we recognized each other immediately. It’s as if our souls are the same age, or as if we live in the same … whatever. We exist with the same sort of principles.”

However, he will be cautious if it’s something/someone he would struggle against. SOMEONE THEY HATE WHO HAS A CRUSH ON THEM: He’ll straight up attempt to kill them, alongside displaying as much revulsion and disgust as he possibly can. His injuries back in Wonderland also heal within a time period or two, so he’s not really bothered by such things. SOMETHING IRRESISTIBLY CUTE: Fawns over and clings to it, which is what he does with Alice. However, he rarely, if ever finds anything cute (except Alice) so this really doesn’t apply to him.
HISTORY
BIOGRAPHY: Peter is the White Rabbit, as well as the prime minister of the Castle of Hearts and the Country of Hearts. He lives in the castle with his superior, the Queen of Hearts whom he serves as second in command (ear piece for the queen, servant, etc etc.) as well as the Knight/Knave of Hearts, Ace whom works under Peter. A number of faceless maids and soldiers live there as well.
He peeked into a period of time on a whim one day and found Alice, whose feelings of sadness and regret captivated him. He also took notice of the Sunday Afternoons she spent with her sister, which were a precious, treasured time. He could feel Alice’s affection and love for this time period, and before he knew it he found himself watching over her and visiting her often. By loving this time, Alice had come to love Peter himself, who was an embodiment of that time though she did not know it.
Watching over her, Peter saw some of what went on in her life, including Lorina’s death and the effect it had on Alice. He also saw that the time they shared was close to ending, so h needed to act fast. Peter went to Nightmare and asked for his help in bringing Alice to their world, which he agreed to. Between the both of them, Peter was able to take Alice down the rabbit hole and give her the Medicine of Heart, which bound her to the game that would eventually (or hopefully) bind her to their world. He did this because he wanted her happiness, even though it meant that she would have to ultimately reject and discard him. For her to truly be happy means to integrate herself into Wonderland, and to do this she needs to cut all ties with her world. Peter, embodying her Sunday Afternoons as well as the love she had for her sister is one such tie.
Despite all of this, Peter still tries to win over her love and affection, most times with mixed or negative results, because he doesn’t learn and lets his emotions and feelings carry him away.
(Note that from here I get into stuff that applies to Citta only things).
Eventually he ended up in a place called Hive City, and despite Peter being, well Peter, he managed to make friends and find himself a boyfriend while enduring a bunch of messed up shit and slowly changing, hopefully for the better. He still murders people with little to no provocation though. FIRST APPEARANCE: Heart no Kuni no Alice (Game); Alice in the country of Hearts manga by Hoshino.
KNOWLEDGE LANGUAGES: English  SCHOOLING LEVEL: Wonderland doesn’t have a school so he is probably self taught. FAVORITE SUBJECT (S): N/A INTERESTED CAREERS: He’s the prime minister of the Country of Hearts, second to Her Majesty the Queen of Hearts. EXPERTISE: Expert marksman, well versed in swordsmanship and hand to hand combat; well versed in politics, well read in some areas. CHEMISTRY: N/A MATH: Knows a bit above the basics/knows the math necessary for his job. LANGUAGE: Very eloquent speaker; excellent writer GEOGRAPHY: He is well versed in the geography of Hearts and Clover due to the three way territory war that is going on. POLITICS/LAW: He’s a prime minister, so needless to say he is well versed in this area. Hell, he enforces laws, collects taxes, does all the paperwork needed to go govern an entire country as well as a large as hell territory. COOKING: He’s fairly good, but by no means an expert. Taught himself to cook because he does not trust other people making his food for him (could be filled with poison or germs or something). MECHANICS: N/A BOTANY (FLOWERS): He thinks they are filthy things and makes it a point not to go near or touch them. He knows how to identify them but he doesn’t use them for anything. MYTHOLOGY: N/A DRAMATICS(ACTING,SINGING): He has a character song so he can sing; he doesn’t act but he can be quite dramatic when it comes to Alice in that his actions and words are over the top and over exaggerated.
READING LEVEL: High. It needs to be for his job. HOW GOOD ARE THEY AT PLANNING AHEAD: Peter is a very cunning, shrewd individual who is never caught with his guard down. Therefore, his planning is as meticulous as his organization. He makes sure to hammer out every detail and as many possible outcomes as he can.
ROMANCE . DO THEY TAKE INITIATIVE: Depends on who it is. With Alice he took the initiative, but only because he got swept up in feelings he fully didn’t understand. With Ian he prefers to have the other take the initiative until he is comfortable to do so himself. HOW DO THEY ACT(SHY,ETC): Again depends on who it is, and who is showing affection. If it’s Alice, he’s very forward and confident, freely expressing affection without a care as to who is watching. If Alice is showing him affection, he tends to get shy and skittish, almost as if he wants to run away.
With Ian Peter is quite reserved and shy, as well as easily flustered. Since they are just in the beginning stages of the relationship, I can’t expand upon this more than I already have at this time. GENTLEMAN/LADYLIKE VS KLUTZY: Gentlemen like. GO SLOW VS JUMP INTO: With Alice he attempted to jump right into things, which did not go well. I think that he would prefer and actually benefit from taking things slow, especially since he has difficulty with understanding feelings and emotions. Taking things slow gives him a chance to work everything out and develop a deeper, more natural bond of love between him and his partner. (By natural I mean not the type of obsessive love he shows in the games.) PROTECTIVE: He is very protective of those he loves, and will even go as far as murdering someone who is harassing/making his lover uncomfortable. You mess with his lover and Peter will kill you. ACT LIKE FRIENDS OR LOVERS: Depends on who it is. With Peter he tried to act romantic towards Alice, but since he didn’t understand his feelings he straddles the line between friends and lovers. Personally he would make a better friend for her than a lover.
Also in general he’ll start out as a friend but move into lover territory. He is friends first, however. WHAT KIND OF PRESENTS DO THEY BUY: Peter tries to buy things that his lover/partner likes, and is dependent upon said partner/lover.  TYPE OF KISSER: Surprisingly good, albeit a bit clumsy and forceful at first. DO THEY WANT KIDS: Not really, but if his partner does then he will give in to make them happy. DO THEY WANT TO MARRY: Eventually yes, but it’s too soon for that. MAKE GOOD OR BAD DECISIONS: Depends. Some of his decisions are good, but only after truly listening to his partner and taking their words to heart (Alice). Most of the time he makes bad decisions because, again, he doesn’t listen. He needs to be given explanations as to why his decisions are bad, from which he will strive to learn and do better.
Education is necessary with this bun. ARE THEY ROMANTIC: Very. HOW ARE THEY IN BED: Peter is a virgin, so N/A. GET JEALOUS EASY: Oh hell yes, and if not restrained it can get nasty. WIFE/HUBBY BEATER: Hell no. MARRY FOR MONEY: Absolutely not. FAVORITE SEX POSITION: N/A WHAT WOULD HAPPEN ON THEIR DREAM DATE: Basically anything involving his lover/partner giving him affection and accepting his. Bonus points for his love for his partner being accepted and returned. OPINION ON SEX: “There are germs involved so eeewww. However, if you desire it, I will endure it for you!”

Luna vs Stella Rant
So people want to say Stella is better than Luna? That Stella was much more fully fleshed out, developed character than Luna? That Stella and Noctis had SO MUCH better chemistry than Luna and Noctis? Bet me. Let's lay EVERYTHING out on the table here. Everything. What do we know of Stella?
1. She was an enemy of Noctis and was preparing to fight him. 2. She could see the light of expiring souls. She met Noctis for the first time in a ballroom and they discussed they could both see the light of expiring souls. 3. She wields a rapier.
What else? Absolutely nothing. Not one single thing...
What do we know of Luna?
1. She's in the Nox Fleuret bloodline of the Oracle and next in line to be the Oracle. 2. She met Noctis when they were just children and spent weeks upon weeks nursing him back to health alongside her mother. They played together as children, sewed flower crowns together, discussed the fact that Noct was Chosen and ordained as the True King of Light by the crystal. 3. She gave the "Lovers' Notebook" to Noctis when it was nearing time for him to leave Tenebrae and go back to Insomnia. 4. Her mother was killed by the Empire, and the Empire completely took over Tenebrae. 5. She was held captive within her own province for years, and it was also suggested in past trailers that Luna may have even been abused by her captors. (Though this was removed from the final product, we may still see something of this if we end up getting a Luna DLC which has been rumored we may be seeing DLCs for the female characters if there is enough attention and want for them. ) 6. She ascended as the Oracle at 16 years old. 7. The Oracle had the ability to keep the star scourge at bay. 8. She had two messengers of the gods with her, Umbra and Pryna. They would travel back and forth between Noctis and Luna delivering the notebook. 9. When Pryna was injured on a trip to meet with Noctis for Luna, Prompto found her, nursed her wounded leg, put a bandage on it with his name, and when Pryna went back to Luna, Luna was able to send Prompto a letter which would later lead to Prompto and Noctis becoming friends. 10. Luna has an older brother named Ravux Nox Fleuret who also became a part of the Empire turning against Lucis. Despite his hate for Noctis, he still supports Luna's love for him. 11. Despite it burdening her, Luna still goes out of her to help the elderly, sick and wounded. She purges the daemon blight from people, she eases the pain of the eldery and does so without complaint. 12. The whole time, Gentiana/Shiva has been accompanying Luna. Shiva was the first covenant Luna forged. 13. We know that the covenants were slowly breaking down Luna's body and taking her life force from her. We knew that the covenants would eventually kill her. 14. We know that despite her suffering, Luna has so much love, compassion, and warmth toward the people of Eos. That she would not rest until everyone knew solace. 15. We knew that despite her being the Oracle, she was just a normal woman who loved Noctis with all her heart and was overjoyed at their wedding, and happy when her wedding dress arrived. 16. She was passed down the Ring of Lucii and kept it in her safe-keeping until she could get to Noctis, and she still managed to get it to him even as she was dying... 17. She protected Noctis with all she possibly could, even as she was taking her last breaths. 18. We know that even after she passed, she always watched over Noctis, as she told him when she gave her farewell. We saw this confirmed on the train. 19. Luna had so much compassion in her heart that she even tried to heal Ardyn of his burden after the guy stabbed her to death. 20. Luna was devoted to her calling, and her calling was not only to aid the king but to inspire him, and she did just that. 21. Oh and let’s not forget, she put gods and goddesses bigger than mountains in their place with just her trident and her voice. Particularly Leviathan. (feel free to add on more about Luna if there is more in comments)
And people are going to say that Stella was a better character and more developed??? Seriously??? Look at this... this was Stella's final character design... who does she looks like? That's right! She looks like Lunafreya!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, guess what happened? Versus XIII was scrapped because it was a giant mess of a game that had too many story changes and was jacked around with by Nomura for 6 years, never fully fleshed out, no fully developed characters, or story, just designs... and the mess was handed over to Tabata to clean up who had maybe 3 years to do that IF he was lucky... Then what happened? Her hairstyle and eye color were changed, and her storyline, or rather lack thereof one, was redone by Tabata because guess what? She was NEVER a fully developed or fleshed out character with a full and thorough storyline...
Did she have potential? Sure! And guess what? She became Lunafreya instead. Stella and Versus XIII are nothing but a prototype, and that is it. They're dead. That game is dead. The idea of it is dead and not happening. What we got in the final product is Final Fantasy XV and what we got is Lunafreya, who if people didn't sit around expecting to be spoonfed everything and actually looked between the lines and looked deeper, they might actually see Luna for what kind of character she is and not hate on her... Compare everything we know about Luna to Stella and you tell me who is better...
Sorry for the rant, but I am so sick of the Stella was better than Luna argument when there is literally NO basis or fact here to prove this considering Stella never was a fully developed and fleshed out character. On top of that, from what little we know and supposedly what little bit they had Versus XIII storyline was leaked not long after FFXV came out, we know that people are saying Stella was a ghost, dead the small bits of times she was supposed to appear in the story. Why was she dead? According to the leaks, Stella was killed by Noctis at the beginning of the game and he didn't remember it. The Stella we saw in the ballroom trailer/clip was a ghost... How can there be such amazing chemistry between Noct and Stella if he kills her before anything even starts and she's dead and a ghost the whole time?  Read about it here: https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/932981-final-fantasy-xv/74692763
Let it go already. Stella is not better than Luna... she is not stronger than Luna and she does not have better chemistry with Noctis than Luna because she never existed as fully fleshed out character. *huffs*
Sorry but I had to get that off my chest... I'm so tired of watching Luna trashed and talked down in lieu of Stella when Stella hasn't existed in years...

no one asked but I’m just gonna be gross for a minute and express my admiration for weightlifting fairy kim bok joo - my ultimate fav kdrama
◇  FIRST OF ALL I don’t want to talk about ratings because it’s Korea’s loss that majority slept on this. Ratings don’t always reflect the quality and success of a drama so I do hope the cast and staff aren’t disappointed in it because i feel like it was more popular internationally than in the airing country itself. #UnderatedDramaOf2016
◇  The idea that I could see Nam Joo Hyuk shirtless swimming is how I got into it but the storyline and NJH and LSK’s chemistry is what made me stay.
I mean yea you notice some flaws within their acting but you can’t ignore their chemistry and ability to work so effortlessly with each other (with a few ad-libs in there 😏) so I do hope this drama opens doors for NJH and LSK (hopefully together!) because they proved that they can deliver more than just being supporting characters.
◇  You grow attached to the lead couple that you can’t help but feel sad that you won’t be seeing this couple weekly anymore. Bok Joo and Joon Hyung were honestly #relationshipgoals because under all the fluff and bickering, they did genuinely care for each other. Even when they were just friends, when both suffered slumps and adversities, Bok Joo radiated brightness and colour in times when Joon Hyung was in darkness and in exchange when Joon Hyung was always there for Bok Joo.  So basically (although cheesy as hell) Bok Joo truly is his sunshine whilst Joon Hyung is her rock and that to me epitomises a healthy, strong and balanced relationship as they compliment each other, bringing out the best in each other. They’re literally each other’s #1 fan, advisor, solace, punching bag, best friend and proudest achievement.
◇  Besides the relationship between the leads, their relationship with their family was also beautiful. You could see how close their bond was which contrasted to Seon Ok and Si Ho’s family, depicting the different dynamics in families.
◇  It also reevaluated the meaning of friendship. You had two male best friends who could be affectionate and clingy and three friends who feel incomplete when one is missing.
◇  SO MUCH RESPECT for the writers, producers and directors who panned out such a great story without it being dragged or rushed. The smooth progression from friendship to romance was perfectly timed without it overshadowing the other characters as they also focused on individual character development and strengthening a family’s bond. ALSO I did not expect this much kisses and cuddles so thank u so much I owe u my life
◇  The OSTs weren’t catchy or as popular as DOTS but they were memorable as they enhanced the scenes especially that one song that always plays during the kiss scenes sosbsjbd I WILL NEVER FORGET.
◇  The drama was cute, pure, extremely funny, captivating and refreshing however it also touched on some valuable lessons in life. It explored a plethora of commonly-faced issues such as financial problems, slight mental illnesses, pressures, lack of parental support, gender expectations, sacrifices parents make, traumas, a journey of self discovery and purpose and most importantly being confident in yourself all within a simple and humorous plot line set in a sports university featuring everyday people (actually i don’t even know if joon hyung is a real person)
◇  There wasn’t even a stereotypical power-greedy antagonist to shape the plot. You just had a bitch in the first two episodes and a problematic ex girlfriend who tbh I didn’t even hate that much since she had reasons plus [spoiler] she revives herself at the end.
Anyways wfkbj is truly a gift and I don’t think I’ll be getting over this drama anytime soon so if you still see someone crying about wfkbj during the 2020 olympics, it’ll be me.
