part 1: thigh

From the moment he first met you, Diavolo knew you would be his undoing. 

This exchange program was so important to him, to what he knew the Devildom could be, too important to jeopardize for any reason - especially not something as frivolous and fleeting as infatuation. 

And yet here he was, hot under the collar because your clothed thigh was hovering dangerously close to his clothed thigh on your shared bus seat. 

The cacophony of chaos from the other riders couldn't distract him from just how close to him you were sitting. He was hyperfocused on every bump and jostle that caused you to get ever closer to him. 

How did he get to this precarious situation? 

One might say it was his own damn fault. 

Another one of “the prince's whims”, you had shown him (and the rest of the student council) a movie from the human world that featured a school bus transporting students on a field trip so obviously, Diavolo had to experience it for himself. This trip was just for the student council to test how feasible it would be to take all the students at RAD on a field trip. 

There was an argument getting on the bus about who would get to sit next to you and for how long. Lucifer settled the argument when horns and wings and tails came out, determining if they couldn't decide peacefully amongst themselves, no one would get to sit with you. 

So Diavolo watched you at the back of the bus, surrounded on all sides by the Avatars of Sin, without anyone actually sharing the bench with you. Lucifer sat on the bench behind Diavolo, barely contained annoyance masked behind a polite smile. Even Barbados, his most trusted advisor and confidant, sat on the bench across the aisle from the prince, ever-present unreadable smile on his lips. Diavolo clenched his fist in the empty space next to him. 

Facing forward throughout the bus ride, but still hearing the commotion surrounding you, Diavolo imagined what it would be like for him to be just another voice in the crowd. Through the din, he could also hear Lucifer droning about what they would do once they got to their destination, though he wasn't listening very closely. Leave it to the Avatar of Pride to have a plan for everything. 

After a while of this, something compelled him to turn around; a feeling he couldn't quite place. When he looked back over his shoulder, he saw you laughing, hard. Your eyes met his across the many seats between you and you smiled at him so genuinely. His eyes widened, almost imperceptibly, and he felt his heart rate spike. He smiled warmly at you in return then turned back around in his seat. How could something so small make him so giddy, so easily? It was almost laughable. 

At their destination, Diavolo could hardly focus on anything Lucifer was saying as they went around on their tour. It was decided that the logistics of a field trip for the entire student body just weren't adding up (which even Diavolo expected). Still, the trip was a success in his eyes. 

Especially when you approached him on the empty bus and asked if you could sit on the same bench as him for the entire ride back. Of course, you didn't realize how big of a deal what you asked really was. How could you? You didn't know the intricacies and etiquette when it came to interacting with demonic royalty. Still, he was so shocked by your boldness. He couldn't remember if he even said anything, but you smiled that same inviting smile and took the seat next to him - so he must've said yes. 

Now here he was, concentrating so hard on not freaking out every time a bump in the road knocks his and your knees together. Sitting there, so close, he wondered if you would notice if he just… 

"What do you think, Diavolo?" You leaned in closer to him, your thigh now fully touching his, your words just loud enough for only him to hear. His eyes snapped to attention, searching yours. The conversation continued around him but his attention was solely on you. That smile, just as warm as ever, kind eyes inviting him to fall right in and never come out again. 

He blinked and shook his head, laughing to himself. “I must admit, MC. I have no idea about what you all have been discussing this entire time.” Your smile widened and Diavolo had to look away - out of embarrassment or because your smile was just that radiant, he wasn't even sure. 

You didn’t ask why he wasn’t paying attention. Could you see right through him? You explained the discourse and how you felt about it before you started to talk about something else entirely and no one else was on the bus but the two of you. Your thigh was pressed up against his the whole rest of the way back and the vice grip he had on his opposite knee made his hand sore the following day.

Bucky Barnes x the flaking sky headcannons and the fall season🧙‍♀️ surprise me!

Fall with Bucky:

This man is THE fall boyfriend, like everything about this man gives off fall vibes. like how i always say steve harrington is summer personified, bucky is fall personified.

He never really gets cold so he rarely wears a jacket during the fall, but he always brings one of his with him just for you whenever you two go out incase you get cold.

And with the help of the strength the serum gives him, this man will insist on you getting any pumpkin you want, no matter how big it is. He will happily carry whatever you pick out until the two of you eventually head back to his car.

He’d share hot cider or hot cocoa with you after picking out your pumpkin and while you weren’t paying attention, he’d kiss you before you took a sip, telling you that it tastes better if your lips are warmed up first, making you blush.

Bucky will ALWAYS help you decorate your shared apartment at the compound, happy to spend this time with you decorating for you both consider to be your favorite season.

And when you do decorate together, he’s the always the one that handles hanging up any strings of fake leaves and or fairy lights. Mostly because he worries about you too much and even though he knows you can handle yourself, he doesn’t want to risk you misplacing your step and falling off of the step ladder.

Bucky will also always cuddle you when it starts to get colder out, you don’t even have to ask anymore. Just shiver once and you’ll be back in bed asap with Bucky’s arms securely wrapped around you, making you feel protected and warm again.

He’d say that you two should lay for a little while until you do warm up, but you always end up falling asleep. But you’ve never really minded just staying inside and cuddling with Bucky during the colder months, you love the way it feels to be wrapped up in his arms.

As both of you don’t have much of a biological family left, you often spend any holidays that come up during this time with the rest of the Avengers. And it’s nice, making you both feel like your finally part of one big family.

Baths!! He loves taking baths with you after a long day and this is definitely another one of his favorite ways to warm you up as it gets colder out. You like doing this too, enjoying the closeness it brings you while you and Bucky cuddle in the tub.

He’d fill the tub up almost to the brim with hot water (just the way you liked it) and bubbles, waiting for you to get home so that the two of you could relax together. Then later once you’d gotten out of the tub, he’d order takeout and you two would spend the rest of the evening cuddled up on the couch, watching a couple movies and eating the food you got.

Ngl though, he’d probably use seeing you naked during and before the bath as a chance to wolf whistle at you, even if it makes you shy bc he’s just cute like that. 😌

But you’d get him back by often complimenting the beard he usually grows during this time of year, telling him how handsome he looks any chance you got.

i COULD link to some other post i could probs find where i talked about them a lot already. HOWEVER. i also love to repeat myself. i want excuses to do it AGAIN!!! sorry it is Long. teehee.

ok anyway. riddle/floyd, love those funny little guys. initially? like 2+ years ago? wasn't a fan, but i also did not like the octavinelle boys At All in the early days fklsdjfkldj but i warmed up to them by the end of book 4 bc they were Silly 😌

as for riddle and floyd together, my initial thought at first glance was "what da heck, floyd's just mean to riddle, that wouldnt work, i dont like it 😤

BUT through the power of obsessively rewatching scenes over and over again and getting a closer look at character vibes and motives [and also fun fanart lol], i have CHANGED MY MIND. mostly. i mean floyd is still floyd LOL but we'll get to that.

so my main thoughts for them could be one of two things: floyd having a one sided obnoxious crush on riddle and poking at him for attention/cuz it's funny, OR <- that but with the added layer of floyd picking on him half bc he thinks it's funny and half with some sincerity behind it [ill get to that] + floyds loose chaos way of existing is a good contrast to riddle who was forced to be Perfect and Proper and Rigid his whole life; he needs people to shake him loose a bit and teach him to learn to have fun and be a goofy lil guy!!! with time and growth they could balance each other out real well i think.

SO. yes on one hand riddle gets Upset with floyd and there are def times where it's like "uhuh floyds just bein mean for his own enjoyment and riddle's got the right to be upset here imo" like i think of i thhhiiiink floyd's regular uniform R vignette of an example of floyd picking on riddle for fun and riddle getting understandably upset, maybe getting a lil personal with his reaction but still i get him being like "why the fuck are you so awful to me get away" like. not off to a great start LOL but i actually really like that story. ive read it several times bc i feel like floyd and riddle's reactions to each other are interesting. the ambiguity [at least, i think it's ambiguous, im really not sure dklfjd] of floyd being like "....im bored now. bye." <- being either "was he upset when riddle compared him to jade/bit back at him, or did he really just have his regular mood swing and get bored? what was he feeling there???" also i just think it's funny how riddles like "huh, did i go too far and upset him...? oh well i dont care 🚶‍♂️" jsklfjdsl

ok ANYWAY. theyre complex and that's fun to me. i think however there are SEVERAL instances where floyd picking on riddle doubles as looking out for him - though im unsure if that's coincidence or intentional on floyd's part.

i can think of at least three off the top of my head: vargas camp 1 event, halloween 1, and the very start of book 4 when you're saying bye to everyone before they go home for the holidays.

Vargas Camp 1 scene [spoilers obviously lol]: the scene where people have gone MISSING and everyone's FREAKED OUT and they're by the fireplace. poor sweet lil riddle is shivering and very cold!!! floyd makes fun of him ldsfjds he's like "goldfishie, your lips are turning blue! if your hair turns blue too, i'll have to think of something else to call you lol" and riddle Gets Mad and is all "FLOYD why are you messing around RIGHT NOW OF ALL TIMES!!! TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!!!" all red faced and 😡 so angy!!! floyd just laughs and is like "hehe glad you're all red and warm now 😌" <- so this is what i mean by it's POSSIBLE he did that on purpose, knowing it would make riddle mad and by extension make him all warm and toasty lol. it also could just be that he wanted to pick on him and it happened to also help djfkldsj. ALSO! right after that when riddle gets SNATCHED, floyd makes a comment about how the shadow beast must be strong because "even goldfishie's gone". just cute that he acknowledges riddle's skills there 😌

halloween 1: around the very end of the event when the second years are having their post party talking time, there's a scene where jade's still running around being Helpful and floyd + riddle are both like "hey man relax, come eat something" but the SECOND riddle says something to jade, floyd IMMEDIATELY turns around and is like "hahaha you're such a hypocrite, youve barely been eating anything yourself you tiny tiny cranky goldfishie" and riddle's all I Eat The Daily Recommended Calorie Intake. bjkldfjdsg. anyway floyd makes him mad but then hes all 👀 when silver mentions CAKE but then pretends hes too full. floyds like "uhuh well there's always room for dessert so let's go" and tugs riddle along with him and the others to go find cake lol. now on one hand you could look at that as Not Listening to Riddle and Doing Whatever, which i think is a totally valid interpretation too. BUT the way i see it is more of floyd being like "you're not fooling anyone here, we can all see you want to do this thing but you will not allow yourself to indulge, you need that push to enjoy yourself bc you havent learned to give in to indulgences so im going to give you that push". it's a cute scene of second years partying lol.

book 4 mirror scene: when riddle shows up to go home, he's distracted and low energy. he's gotta go home and wants to Face His Mother. having the dread of facing an overbearing parent, not wanting to go home for the holidays, i get it, it's a mood dampener. the other heartslabyul boys are all like 😔bc ya, sore topic, rough and heavy. then floyd shows up fdsklfdsklfjlk and he's like "what's the matter? dont wanna go home? then dont 😌 stay here with us! we can keep a tiny goldfishy as a pet hehehehehe" or something like that lol. the SECOND floyd shows up riddle is SCOWLING and COMPLAINING jfkldjsfl. even jade is like 😐floyd do not pry into his personal family life 😐 <- as if he's not a nosy bitch himself LOL. anyway!!!!! floyd's comment about riddle being a teeny goldfish makes him all mad and 😡 again and trey/cater gotta diffuse the situation like the mvp besties they are lfjsd. riddle's like "well anyway i do NOT wanna hang out with octavinelle for the holidays good BYE!!! 😤" and trey comments about how at least he seems like he's back to his regular self. i think again, you could see this as floyd just picking on riddle bc he likes picking on riddle, which i think is very true here lol, BUT if you read between the lines i do think it's a valid thought to look at it as like, floyd saw riddle down in the dumps and gave him something to get riled up about to distract him from his gloominess. i mean he made him mad jfldksjf but it was still more of the riddle theyre Used To and he was no longer sulking?? lol, that one may be a little more of a stretch but i stand by it as a possibility!!!

because!!! i wont get into it too much but it has been shown on several accounts that like, floyd's a smart dude when he wants to be. i fully believe he understands people decently well if he cares to, and has his own way of how he chooses to navigate it. like this part isnt about riddle but in one of the beans events, i think beans 2? when they spot malleus and lilia sparring, i think epel or someone's like "oh we could gang up on lilia and help malleus defeat him!!" but floyd stops them and is more or less like "nah they're havin fun over there doin their thing. we should leave them. if i were riled up havin fun like that i wouldnt want someone comin along to spoil it" or something like that. so like i think he's got compassion for other people at times and will act accordingly if he wants to. he's a very interesting multifaceted character!!

also heehee funny fish boy pokes fun at funny tiny red boy. opposites attract is just a fun dynamic i always like 😌

some other misc things i like with them:

in halloween 2, when they're initially gonna go in the mirror, floyd and riddle BOTH wanna just charge headfirst into it without a second thought fksdjflkd. it's SO cute seeing riddle on the same level as floyd with impulsiveness

also in halloween 2, when they find possessed jade and he's acting like floyd, riddle's like That's Not Floyd 😤 immediately, which i mean leads to a convo about the twins' hair lol BUT i like to think it also just shows how much riddle's around the twins

riddle has a lot of similarities to azul. floyd and jade like to pick on azul a lot. despite being weird about how they talk about it kfdjdlsdfjkl floyd jade and azul are all friends and i think they care about each other a lot. floyd also loves to tease riddle. i think it's both bc riddle and azul have entertaining reactions when theyre Being Teased, but also i think that's part of how floyd shows his affection. like he's having fun, he's playing!!! when he's not interested in something or someone hes got No Energy and is like im outta here 🚶‍♂️ but with riddle he's always like hehehehehe funny little goldfishie heheheheehehe

Ummm for Dazai i like making him break down and cry and forcing him to admit he needs help or attention 🥺👉👈 or sick or just any kind of general vulnerability, and flip side for Chuuya, I love forcing him to admit he’s worried about Dazai or cares about him. My favorite part of Chuuya’s character is that he’s a genuinely nice person, Dazai is just so annoying and pushes his buttons, so I love showing off Chuuya’s softer side and highlighting his protective and caring nature. That scene where chuuya watches Dazai get slammed into a tree by lovecraft x1000000❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

First impressions of Dazai was i don’t even remember him, I read the first bsd book at the library when I was in middle/high school (don’t remember exactly when) and was like eh. Boring. I think it didn’t help that they didn’t have all the books so it was like volume one, three, five, prime numbers only. I think I read soul eater instead lmao. Flash forward to college I had seen bsd characters and i liked the designs, and i had figured chuuya would be my favorite bc he kinda reminded me a bit of Karkat from homestuck (a dear fave of mine at one point) in that angry but actually sweet and kindhearted kinda way.

I was still eh whatever about Dazai, which is crazy because I’ve seen him compared to both Gojo and Reigen in the silly mentor who lost the kids he’s custody of kinda way, and those two are some more faves of mine. Tbh i didn’t solidify him as my fave until we learned of his tragic past because my OTHER favorite kind of character is a rude little bastard, and i was shown the light. Dazai Osamu has the range. He’s like a two for one, which I’m pretty sure he’s a Gemini??? I’m not gonna google and confirm just trust me i think he’s a Gemini ♊️

as for the 69 tattoo, he's getting flushed cheeks after learning what it means in the modern world of living. but a part of him was still grateful for that incident bc he got to meet his muguruma-taicho. (got his ass saved and threateningly cheered him up too lol) so yeah, he got it tattooed out of respect. no regrets.

now, we can't say the same for the other tattoo. (i first thought it's a stripe/bandage or an accessory?? like it's just there for fashion?? lolol) i mean…i wouldn't have known why he got it. nobody knows. kubo-sensei needs to do some explanation here pls. but i can imagine shuhei looking into the mirror daily and be like “what tf were you thinking back then??” pat his back and tell him it's okay. everyone went through that phase. 😌

if his crush complimented kenpachi and renji for their tattoos and scars, shuhei would feel a bit conscious around these two. he might even stalk them out of curiosity. like “what do they have that i don't?”

rangiku would be laughing her ass off bc he got fired up over the smallest things his crush commented on. “he's a simp! that's what the youngsters in the world of living would call him!” she cackled while elbowing the facepalming kira beside her.

shuhei might go to the squad 11, using training as an excuse but he won't stop eyeing their spiky haired taicho the entire time. eventually, kenpachi would notice that and confront him about it. poor shuhei is shaking under this 6ft tall man, spilling the beans about his crush.

kenpachi just…doesn't understand. and he doesn't care i guess. he have no interest in dating and stuff, he's all about instinct and fight. but since shuhei brought this to his attention, he figured he can do whatever he wants about it. he's straightforward so he came up with the dumbest idea ever. “your woman like scars? then, fight me and get more scars!” rip shuhei 💀

okay now we've come to renji. i vaguely remember he got his tattoo after he graduated from the shinigami school. i also remember shuhei once lead his class on a field training and the trio (kira, renji and hinamori) was gushing about him.

my theory is, renji got inspired by shuhei about tattooing. (imagine kira trying to talk him out of it but renji was all “but hisagi-san is so badass with those! i want it too!!!”) so if shuhei ever voiced his concern about it, i think renji would know how to reassure him.

but don't trust his suggestion though. his fashion sense can be as bad as shuhei's guitar playing. “hisagi-san! you should get this glasses! you'd look cool with it!!” (it's so bad that ichigo want to pretend he dk these two on the street)

this is an off topic but lemme rant about byakuya a bit HAHA i rmb the first time i saw him i'm like “okay not the type of guy i'd like. thank you, next.” then i got into past arc and TEEN BYAKUYA!! HES A TSUNDERE 😍 HES SO CUTE I CAN'T!! 😫 but yeah that was pretty short-lived and we never see his tsundere tendencies again. francesca - ok honestly, the first time she came in, i didn't like her all that much just based on vibes alone :/ i think it was cos when she came in she went straight to the boys n didn't say hi to the girls there (maybe she did and i missed it, idk) BUT i came to love her during the season bc she was so real for everything 😍 i was also so pissed at harry for that little stunt he pulled ugh ++ i hated that thing she tried to pull off w haley n how immature she was at the beginning but fortunately she had her redemption weeee

lydia - since she was a new arrival and came late,, i really did not think she would end up high on my list, but lo and behold !! when she first came in, she was all like "oh whatever f this show idc i'm gonna do what i want" and i was put off by that 😶 but she started interacting w the other girls and she was so open to the workshop and just becoming a better person on the retreat that i could not help but like her 😌

nicole - tbh she didn't do that much, she wasn't the most main character-y person n all, but she also wasn't a hindrance to the group and she was nice w the girls :)

david - OK DAVID SO like in the beginning, i didn't like his intro all that much (i get that he was using his being a british "gentleman", to quote, to his advantage, but it was js kinda cheesy lolsies) but imo he was the most decent man on season 1 of the show 👌🏽 (i don't think he broke bro code at all on that incident w rhonda n sharron) he was giving valid insight and was (i think, idk maybe i'm biased) the least horny guy amongst all of them (plus points in my book)

sharron - right off the bat i did not like him 👍🏽 i can't rmb what it was but i js recall him doing smth to piss rhonda off, and rhonda had a valid response to that, he got pissed at her response and started sulking,,, boy what??) i get that he has love trauma n stuff but rhonda's response ab how if she could do it, then he can was so real, i agree w her 100% on that (if he wants rhonda, he's got to work on it !! he can't expect rhonda to wait for him to heal before they do something, that's neither right nor realistic)

kelz - the whole alpha lion leader of the pack threw me OFF straight away 💀 he kept that mindset for the entirety of the show so he's ending up on this rank. the reason why he's on the middle tho is because he is the only person who actively resisted breaking the rules (mans was right in front of FRANCESCAAAAA and he still managed to stick by the book 😭)

harry - this guy is a dick you cannot change my mind. first, he blamed the kissing incident on francesca when it is so clear that he initiated it 💀 second is when he was having his little argument w fran and she decided to shift her attention to kelz, he was being such a baby ab the whole situation !!!!!! he had the AUDACITYYY to say that kelz was uglier than him ???? his smile holds a trophy over you my guy 😭 both their personalities are questionable, yes, but harry just cannot keep his wee in his pants 💀

bryce - his hairline threw me off and may or may not play a part in why he's on the bottom part of my list ... 😁👍 ok but looks aside, he was kinda nice sometimes. mostly a shallow geezer (the american kind) tho

the amount of times i refresh your page just to check for an update is actually insane. it was the same for the last chapter, just that i didn't have immediately rave on about the chapter since i was pretty stressed due to exams last week

the last two chapters were soooo good. i was literally kicking my feet in the air when jungkook was in oc's apartment. also, there's this growing gentleness and warmth that's so ingrained in this fic, and that has been so prominent in the last few chapters. jungkook and y/n both are such warm people that carry all these burdens with themselves, and just desperately want to be seen and understood. i can't stress enough as to how much human they seem.

the part where jungkook gets all scared and y/n covers his ears, and comforts him is so so incredibly beautiful. there's this understanding they have that's just so incredibly pretty to read, and to watch it unfold during times like these is just🥲🤍

the last part where y/n finally admits her being comforted by jungkook😭😭 the way i gasped (mind you i do that a lot) and a hundred different emotions crashed down on me. istg this series is the going to be the death of me. but honestly, it's one of the best romance tales i've ever read. their chemistry, their characterization as well as just the setting and all the details of the fic are so beautifully and immaculately done, mimi🤍

it's not just them, but godd i love yoongi as well. he's so precious, and seeing him genuinely root for oc gets me soft everytime, and seeing him always take care that y/n eats, even while she was home due to her sprained ankle is just so heartwarming. his little gestures are just so sweet🥹

i'm in awe of this fic and oh my god, i can't explain the pang of sadness that hits me when i reach the end of the chapter everytime.
