Laceys Games and Valle Verde are so criminally underrated it's a real shame. I consume a lot of digital horror/arg content but truthfully those two are the best I've seen besides classic Petscop. The way they weave their narratives and their aesthetics are truly phenomenal. One of the reasons Petscop got so big when it did is because there was nothing really like it. I think the same can be said for both Lacey and Valle Verde, I wish there were more people who appreciated just how insanely good they both are. But, I suppose, it is always fun to be "niche"

#the biggest complaint people always have is oooohhhhh its so OVERSATURATED its all the same...#and i get that. to a certain extent #i think there is a Lot of digital horror/arg stuff out there especially nowadays i think it only becomes increasingly popular #but i think most of it is usually pretty good. i think sometimes you'll have something a little subpar like i didnt really care for #the man in the suit but even so i appreciate that someone probably put their heart and a lot of effort into making it and i like it just #bcuz of that. does that make sense?#and i think a lot of it is made by younger people as well. the good stuff is out there you just have to know where to look #or also understand that both genres as a whole are still pretty quote unquote new and also predominantly run by a younger generation #for an overall younger audience. when i say younger i mean like teenagers and young adults #although my bfs little brother loves the mandela catalogue and hes like 11 so maybe even younger #anyways this was kind of rambling but i highly recommend both laceys games and valle verde. its very rare that something like this #Actually scares/creeps me out but both have done so with flying colors.

I’m not saying that a lot of Regulus fans are only interested in him because they picture him as a Timothee Chalamet insert and wouldn’t give half a fuck about the character if that fancast didn’t exist but… oh wait that is what I’m saying.

yeah i mean. i definitely think there's something in that lol honestly. as ive said before i never really got the interest in regulus i just couldnt care less about the guy he genuinely has zero canon character but. simultaneously i can see how the little that we do know about him makes him an interesting character and i can see why people enjoy the idea of him as a blank slate that you can superimpose nearly any traits you want on to--treating regulus as essentially an oc gives you lots of room for creation. its for these exact reasons that he is of no interest to me personally, and i really don't like the common conceptualisation of him that has emerged from popular headcanon consensus (especially when it involves stripping his character of all agency and half the things that could arguably make him compelling in order to gloss over the fact that he was a death eater) but thats a matter of opinion i suppose. thats a me problem. its just not my cup of tea.

the timothee chalamet thing irritates me for the same reason the ridiculous instagram model/influencer/celebrity fancasts for most characters irritate me, because one of the ONLY things we know about regulus is that he is 'less handsome than sirius'. like ok why not work with that. especially with a character like him where there is virtually nothing to work with. like please explain to me why you refuse to accept that im genuinely curious. why is that the aspect of his character you are so firmly refuting lol.

all in all, if the character is only likeable or interesting or a convincing love interest if you have to pretend they were actually super conventionally attractive, maybe they're just not that likeable or interesting or well-suited to the character you're trying to pair them off with. its a personal thing again i am just not interested in reading/writing about a cast of characters who are all meticulously tailored to conform to beauty standards i do not respect. the minute u try to convince me all your characters are super hot n yassified it all feels less real to me sorry i care less about them. im bored of hot characters i think all fictional characters should be made to look like normal everyday people and i think everyone should be less afraid of so-called ugliness i triple dog dare u

since im a musical mood now im gonna talk abt zoe murphy bc i have a lot of feelings abt her

#i think part of why zoe loved evan so much is bc she so badly wanted to feel closer to her brother and by loving and being loved by someone #who connor cared enough for to be best friends w/ while he was still alive she could understand him that way. and maybe she could also feel #as if she was being loved by connor through evan. not to mention how the version of connor evan fabricated cared deeply for zoe #and showed a lot of affection towards her. which for someone like zoe whos been completely detached from her brother for so long must mean #So Much. and like. i think its pretty obvious just how ignored and overlooked zoe is by her family and probably also by her peers to a #certain extent. so someone recognizing her and loving all these little parts of her mentioned by evan in iicth would really touch her #and that someone being Connor... i can see why she would be so quick to forgive evan for kissing her out of nowhere #of course i do think that zoe Does love evan himself genuinely bc of what was said in only us and also bc zoe finally has someone of her own #(and that feeling is mutual bc evan pretty much sees zoe as an outlet to project all his desires onto.)#to quote that one abf essay quote ‘u give so much of urself to other ppl but zoe is just for you’#that might not be the exact quote but like. u get the gist. and i think evans genuine affection towards zoe makes her start to feel the same #way abt him. they can allow themselves to be selfish with each other. they’re just For each other no one else #anyway. back to the siblings. i think the whole concept of deh and also everything evan and zoe’s relationship is built on definitely has #like. some Questionable implications abt connor and zoe’s relationship or at least abt zoe’s feelings for connor. and her feelings for evan #-by extension.#i could literally just be spewing nonsense and my take makes no sense but like. it makes sense to Me and it drives me insane #txt

my parents and brother/SIL did NOT coordinate gifts and both got me the new record player i wanted. there were two large wrapped boxes exactly the same size and my mom and SIL look at each other from across the room and are like “oh no”. they also did not coordinate for my brother and when he opened one of his gifts (some kind of headphone charging stand) from my parents my SIL just says in the same exact tone as before “oh no”

#christmas was lovely my mom got me a super gay shirt w a sappho quote on it #my nephews got huge hauls and of course the 10 month old was most interested in the tissue paper #and the 6 year old was more interested in one of his brother’s gifts than his own #we had homemade fajitas bc we never eat normal holiday food and they were wonderful #i was a little depressed and lonely but mostly a good day!#one more christmas under my belt that i was afraid cancer was going to steal from me so. overall i’m grateful!

i love when you have a pair or group of characters in any situation and people look at them and go "ah this one is clearly The Normal One. unlike these other people" and then they proceed to prove them immediately and passionately wrong

#the nemesis speaks #thinking abt the toudens... i love whenever falin reveals she is exactly as weird as her brother just in a slightly different direction #but i am also thinking abt ingo and emmet i think this is also them #i was rereading ingos quotes and among other things like. i forget just HOW passionate he is about battling and trying new things #esp when he isn't dealing with all of hisui's Stuff and is just like vibing w his brother #i think ppl in universe prolly look at them and assume ingo is like. the force of rationality keeping emmet in check #and then he's like absolutely not even a little #also speaking of dialogue i was talking earlier abt older pokemon translations being weird #but also emmet in ex has like... way less Signature Flavor than bw emmet. breaks my actual heart </3 #that was one instance where i thought the translation really worked like i LOVE how he sounds in bw #choppy sentence fragments and very few contractions and all that. he sounds so DELIBERATE all the time #mourning... you can pry bw emmet voice out of my cold dead hands #anyway what was i talking about again. oh yeah anyway those two are each others worst enablers 95% of the time for sure
