People should NOT be expecting their level of animation when you have brutal scheduling and low budget. No, I'd say watching the TV series of Neon Genesis Evangelian should be mandatory, not for the story, but what to expect when a show is running out of money and time.

Yes, you should be expecting a "slide show", aka a bunch of stills when you give staff a month or less to complete an entire episode. There should be shots of still characters with their heads turned away from the camera so mouths aren't even animated when you give an animator a day to a week to get a shot done. There is a REASON limited animation is used. But now people expect more and more without there being a change to anime scheduling or pay. Like every episode needs to be full of sakuga every second or else.

It's not a surprise Lucifer's a sucker for physical attention. Not in a sexual way, just hugs and holding hands in the most unusual times.

At first you started off with 'baby steps', occasionally giving him a kiss on his cheek or lips, holding his hand or playing with his suit when he didn't expect it, just to see how he'd react.

7) After Leo & Yuichi grow close, Leo begins to see him as a person he wants to stay close to. He thinks he’s impulsive, arrogant, but he also sees how he affects others and how they feel very easily. And he can talk a LOT. Note how in the show, Leo goes silent when he runs out of ideas, he’s incredibly stressed, & his family isn’t taking notice of him. Hi! I really like how much effort you put into pulling canon examples to illustrate points on your blog. I also really love how much enthusiasm you have for best guy Kakashi! On the other hand, constantly ragging on folks for deviating from canon is exhausting.

For example, I know Kakashi/Gai/Obito have the same build. MOST Naruto characters have the same build. I personally don't find the same-y builds fun or interesting, so I like to change it up. It's a personal choice, I know it's not canon (though I'm just as happy to see canon Kakashi as any AU Kakashi), so you *really* don't need to constantly say "fandom take note, X isn't canon". Either we know and we consciously choose to deviate or we don't but you've already perfectly illustrated your point with screenshots, so underlining it with a statement like that comes off as belittling at best-- even if you mean it as friendly ribbing.

I say all this because I genuinely don't think that you're ragging others on purpose. I do think it's an expression of friendly frustration that isn't landing the way you intend. At the end of the day, though, I don't follow you for what fandom thinks, I follow you for what YOU think. I follow to hear the ways YOU love Kakashi. The posts I enjoy most reflect this-- the ones where it's all "this is why I love Kakashi" and not "fandom is wrong for loving Kakashi X way".

First of all, I was really having a hard time answering this ask because you seem like a really nice person and I don't want my answer to seem harsh or upset you in any way, I literally just kept typing things and then deleting them so believe me, this is the nicest way I found to explain my thoughts.

Second, speaking my mind in my own blog is not ragging on ppl, I've never once replied to those fan works with anything negative, I always just scroll past it and then go vent with my friends about it.

Third, when ppl just can't accept a mlm ship without completely changing one of them to make him fit into the wife role because they can't see beyond an extremely heteronormative view then I have to keep reminding the fandom. When ppl can't accept a ship of 2 equal partners and have to change them to make one the stronger masculine one and the other the helpless feminine one then I have to keep reminding the fandom. When I bump into so many ppl who genuinely believe those fanarts and fanfics because it's been years since they watched/read Naruto and everything they see now is this type of content that they no longer remember the real Kakashi anymore then I have to keep reminding the fandom. When this is really effecting ppl's views of Kakashi to the point that I keep seeing ppl saying that he's so weak and small and helpless that he can't even lift the sword that he literally wielded like a total boss with ease in canon then I have to keep reminding the fandom... You have no idea how many ppl I met who really genuinely thought that Gai and Obito are really twice as big as Kakashi and when I told them "actually no, that's just fanon, they are actually the same built in canon" they didn't believe me at first until they went and looked it up themselves, and that's just the ppl that I spoke to, there are thousands of others who really don't know. You are really underestimating how fan contents affects ppl's views, for example, the majority of the fandom thinks that Kakashi was a useless Hokage just because of that old "blow up the moon" meme that never actually happened, on the contrary he's the one who STOPPED the Raikage from blowing up the moon, no one even remembers all of the great things Kakashi did as a Hokage and only remembers that meme that was the opposite of the truth. I keep reminding the fandom because when content creators do stuff like that "for fun" they don't make it clear that they changed stuff and that's not actually how it is, the misconceptions this type of fan work creates is so much bigger than you think and unfortunately it's unrepairable, even my constant friendly reminders aren't going to correct it but I still do it out of frustration first and hope that at least someone might see it and know how it actually is, because I joined this fandom when Naruto ended to keep sharing my love for Kakashi with other fans who loves him too but most of my days in this fandom, I really miss Kakashi because I can hardly find him anymore between the endless Kakashi slander and hate for things that isn't even true, the misconceptions and the way ppl change him so much that he stops being him anymore. I'm here because I want to see the Kakashi that I fell in love with not someone else's OC committing identity fraud! It's not Kakashi anymore if we're going to change everything that makes him, him!

On the other hand, you have no idea how wrong it is that ppl just can't accept a ship where both partners are equal without one of them having to be smaller and weaker or it won't be "fun", it wouldn't have been an issue at all if that's how they originally are but for ppl to change them because "it's boring" for 2 equal ppl wether in their size or strength to be together that's when it's not fine, it's 2023 and yet ppl are still not able to get over the idea that couples can't work without looking like a wife and a husband, they can't both look like men or it won't be "fun", there's a difference between having your own art style which is actually fun, and deliberately changing the designs of 2 characters who have the same built to make one of them twice as big as the other and it's even 100x worse when they change their skin color too on top of everything else, I don't think I need to explain this one.. like man, if you have a size kink then why not ship 2 characters who canonically has a size difference instead of doing this, there are plenty of characters who have size differences like, Itachi and Kisame, or Kisame and Gai or Kakashi and Ibiki or Jiraiya and Sakumo or Sasuke and Jūgo... Etc.

In the end, I'm sorry if any of what I said seemed harsh in any way, that was not my intention, and there's nothing wrong about expressing myself on my own blog because even tho I strongly disagree with that type of content, I never go to artists blogs to force my opinions on them, instead, I block the tags that can prevent me from seeing the things that I dislike as much as possible and express myself in my own space in my own blog so I can at least remind someone of the real Kakashi that the majority of the fandom seems to not remember anymore because that's the Kakashi I fell in love with and I joined the fandom for, and give him some of the love and credit he deserves but hardly is getting nowadays.

Bot boy back with some more ramblings, my brain gave me another idea.

(Warning kinda dark)

Idea 6: Vanny hates Vanessa for existing and tries to make her experience as horrible as possible.

A concept that I have also seen very little of is the dynamic between Vanny and Vanessa during the possession.

Vanny would be constantly infuriated at the start because she doesn't get the body entirely to herself she has to deal with Vanessa trying to "wake up from this nightmare" and would come up with a way to get her to shut up accept her new life.

She would look through Vanessa's memories and find out she used to work well with kids, and thus was close to them. That is where she would get her idea.

Vanny would make sure her knife strikes didn't kill the children immediately, instead they would be done in a way to make them die slowly. 

And then she would just carry them while walking to the basement or wherever the remnant magic happens.

All the while she would force Vanessa to focus on the child they are carrying close to her chest.

Feel their heartbeats slow.

Listen to their breaths becoming more shallow and strenuous. 

Feel the blood soaking through the white rabbit fabric and staining her arms.

Watch as the light leaves their eyes…

It should be noted that there is no practical reason for doing this, Vanny,  being the sadist she is,  does it purely to make Vanessa suffer. All the while she would subtly blame her for doing this.

After all, she was the one who willingly collected all the tapes and put HIM back together, right? (IthoughtitwasjustagameIthoughtitwasjustagameIthoughtitwasjusta)

Ironically this wouldn't make Vanessa shut up, she would now be more active and begging Vanny to not kill the children. You would think this would annoy Vanny even more, but she finds the joy of the experience of torturing Vanessa and the brief silence that follows worth her whining.

Yeah Vanny kinda sucks lol :P

There would be long standing repercussions of this after she is freed. She would likely want to stay as far from children as possible. Not because she hates them, quite the opposite. She would be utterly terrified of being alone with a child because every time that happened in the last 7 months, they would die. She thinks that this will make Vanny come back somehow.

It's also why she would be so hesitant to hug Gregory, since again, the only living things she's held in the last few months were all dying. She would be scared that doing this will somehow kill Gregory. This doesn't make any logical sense to a normal person, but being possessed by a British furry will do that to a person.

(btw the only reason she can stand to be close to Gregory is because she knows that he can defend himself if something bad happens)

One wonders what would happen if there was another lost child during her last 2 weeks as a guard at the pizzaplex and all the other animations were down for maintenance… 

As a more lighthearted aside Gregory would be the first person she hugs after it all. She would wake up from a nightmare crying and screaming. Gregory would then rush into her room, Freddy doll in hand, and see what was happening. He would then tackle Vanessa like a footballer and give her a massive hug with Freddy giving an assist. Vanessa would want to scream at them to get away from her, "Before SHE hurts you" . But she finds the hug to be really comforting, she would slowly reciprocate and all 3 of them would eventually fall asleep.

He'll help you with everything. From being dressed in the morning and feeding you. But in the darkest recesses of his mind, he can't deny that he somewhat enjoys it. It feels... Nice. To take care of darling like this and give all his undying love with no fear of holding back.

He loves that he can shower them with his affections. He doesn't have to get violent anymore!

Josuke will drag you outside more and you'll go on dates. He won't have to worry about you screaming for help or talking to others

Giorno

Giorno would see the pros and cons to having a dollified darling

On the bright side, they don't fight back anymore or say cruel things to him. If they're like this then they won't try to escape anymore and he can protect them in his villa

He also likes pampering them. Brushing their hair, dressing them up, holding their hand everywhere, all sorts of things like that. Giorno is someone who always wanted to be a provider for darling, but had to constantly hold back because you hated it. Now with the appearance of dollified darling, he doesn't have to hold back on spoiling you anymore (you were already spoiled enough but now its 10x worse)

But he's heartbroken. Maybe just as much as Jonathan. He just wants a loving relationship with darling like the couples he sees when walking around in Italy

Unlike the other Jojos, Giorno wouldn't take sexual advantage of darling while they're in this state. The most he would do is cuddle.

He would contact doctors who could help darling but if push comes to shove, then he's gonna use GER and reset the time when darling wasn't like this

yes! my opinion on them hasn't changed much at all, they've always been all over each other / talked about each other constantly / the members have always been tired of them (LOL) and they've always been crazy! the only differences i've noticed from back then vs now are:

1) sn used to be more sensitive to wy's push and pull game and i don't think he knew how to handle it at first. however sn is now a certified genius and Master at push and pull and constantly beats wy at his own game 2) wy was a little more reserved with his affection and i think it mostly had to do with his camera shyness 3) wy is a lot A LOT more open with his horniness now 😭 dear god. sn on the other hand has always shown it

i think their relationship has always been strong, intimate and incredibly devoted. like i said above, they've always been crazy but they've only gotten crazier/louder. it's like there were/are levels to their loudness and they just KEEP GOING 😭 they never fail to surprise me even after all these years, they keep me on my toes fr. just when i think they're obvious enough, they make themselves even MORE obvious. and in my opinion, the more time goes on, the more and more they fall in love. and it gets even harder to keep everything under wraps, hence sn's oversharing.

that being said, i still think there were shifts in their relationship but it was mostly them "leveling up" of what we see on camera lmao. some shifts are: 1) M2 ASMR interview. there were a lot of both english and korean comments that were like "???? ummmm. What goes on with them…" lol and they also both dropped some big bombs in both the main interview and the behind the scenes. (ex: wy: "nobody takes care of me better than you do. if you don't believe me, my parents even told him to take care of me" and perhaps the juiciest one: sn: "i'm no longer embarrassed to tell ppl that you're my friend" ?????? WHO TF says that about a FRIEND???????) 2) 2020 japanese valentine's day interview. do i even need to say anything about this. gross fond staring cuddling nuzzling flirting backhugging galore. wy sucking the blood off of sn's finger. true cringe couple behavior even jh couldn't hide his (fond) cringing at them. this was when everyone (fans) REALLY started noticing them 3) the aaa tattoo and tattoo reveal. now, i think when they decided to get the tattoos together that was def a shift in their actual relationship. in my opinion, this was their way of getting married/committing to eo forever. the tattoo reveal was more of a shift in how they were revealing their relationship to us. 4) i feel like this year in general has been a shift, it's like they're just balling out. they're saying and revealing whatever they want tbh!

EDIT: i forgot to add the escape at 2pm woosan vlive and the be my lover mv for "leveling up" moments. the 2pm woosan vlive was insane i almost don't have words for it. i still can't believe they did that. for the be my lover mv, there had been woosan moments in previous mvs, but this was like...next level. they couldn't stop looking at each other in the dance scenes and the fact they got their own separate lovey dovey scenes...omg....

Fruits Basket,Se03, Ep 8 (part 1)

“ I hate myself, so much, so intensely, so completely, I wish I just go away, disappear for good, & yet in the end, I always protect myself, instead of taking responsibility, I run away every damn time, like now, I’m too scared to even look at your face”. The real kyo under the layers of trauma.

This quotation is why this ep is not abt romance. Instead it is abt: Extreme self-loath, faulty coping mechanism, self-awareness & inability to make correct decisions due to suicidal thoughts & non-existent self-worth.  

This is a guy who’s literally seen death TWICE at the age of 4 & 15 (his mom & kyoko), is trying to avoid the THIRD (tohru’s) & is questioning why the FOURTH isnt happening (his own death).

-The layers of a broken self: Excellent writing:

I applaud the writer for choosing fitting methods to portray her characters’ own trauma. Yuki “ prince” mask & tohru’s “i’m okay” mask were fitting to hide their trauma & uncover the real personalities. However, since kyo would be the character to hide secrets & carry guilt, the viewers need to feel he’s hiding sth w/o knowing what it is. It was done cleverly to (a) tie the plot together, (b) build kyo’s character, (c) fit the climax, (d) suit his trauma of severe guilt & self-loath. Some of the things he does can fit two genuine layers: Both layers are true:

His initial refusal to open up to tohru in early se01. (Surface layer): he doesn't know how to interact with ppl who accept him as he confessed to shigure, (Deeper layer): he avoided tohru cuz he knew her!

He initially refused to join leisure activities & trips: hot spring & kyoto trip (Surface layer): he didn’t want to go with yuki (Deeper layer) he didnt want to spend time with tohru as he was unconsciously feeling that he’s stealing from her.

It killed him to see her true lonely self behind her fake mask & approached her with advice. se1, ep5 (grandpa house), se1, ep23 (sick tohru), se2, ep 8 (hiro’s remarks) & other instances.  (Surface layer): he was noticing her issues, & genuinely wanted to help her cuz he’s kind (Deeper layer) he was falling in love w/her & unconsciously wanted her to be happy with HIM.

There were times when there was ONE layer, such as: kyoko’s 1st grave visit. He was so off, rigid, unresponsive, & completely shut down. Everybody read him. Yuki, tohru, Arisa & hana. they just don’t know why he behaving like that. his trauma manifested itself deeply that he apologized to tohru in her sleep cuz he was “ too scared to even look at your face”.

- Kyo’s trauma takes physical shape: (Clutching his heart: PAIN, clutching his stomach : DISGUST) :

While confessing to tohru, kyo’s features spoke volumes. You can see disrepair, guilt, broken soul, sadness & surrender. His body reflected his emotions:

wide eyes (disbelief), Cat eyes (utter fear)

trembling body (overwhelmed with toxic emotions)

clutching his fists (anger at self) , opening fists (surrender to darkness)

hand covering face (shame), Hand around neck as he finished confessing abt kyoko & yuki (desire for death: the final judgement)

The most focused physical appearance was his fist clutching his heart: he was in so much pain as he narrated how he loved kyoko & found a friend in her, desired to make her happy, to find tohru for her, how his his mom withered away out of fear of him & how pitiful & sad he felt towards tohru for loving someone like him. It broke his heart to see them all suffer after knowing him. All the love he felt for them squeezed his heart tight, he wanted to pull it & rip it away. Above all, he was sad to loose them all. Sad he can’t be wit them.

Then he clutched his stomach: representing the pure disgust he felt at himself. As he realized that there is no escape from being responsible for their death, as he admitted he illogically blamed yuki, his disgust with himself boiled in his stomach. What kind of disgusting horrible person does that? blame someone illogically? I’m horrible, hateful & utterly undeserving to be forgiven. Being disgusted with one’s own self! oof! it was so well-done with animation!

-Tying Mature Themes with Child Trauma:

Through kyo’s story, there were different mature themes that excellently dictate his behavior, mentality & emotional well-being: Excellent writing!

(1) The desperate need for self-worth: To be good for once!

by constantly destroying his self-worth thro contempt (the sohmas), rejection (his mom), hate (his father), pity (kazuma/ kagura, initially), kyo searched for an outlet to be a worthy human. Someone who deserves to be loved for who he is. He found that in kyoko. It is brilliant that kyo didn’t look for a mom in kyoko. He called her “ old hag”, she told him unflattering facts abt herself “ neglecting her daughter”. she was his first real friend. He found comfort being with her. He wanted to return the intimate feeling he felt deep down, kyo is so hung up on giving as much as taking as it contradicts the notion of pity. The opportunity came! Helping her find her daughter! being someone who does good! Return the daughter & feel worthy of being a true friend, a man (aka a person). “ i’ll help her, I’ll protect her for sure! it’s a man’s promise” The promise in its core is abt kyo wanting to be a person. Not a monster, or a cat. A true real boy. Away from all the toxic past emotions. Being a man: means being a big boy (person) with good achievements! All this shattered when a better boy beats him to it. The boy who was always praised, loved & respected! kyo’s self-worth diminished greatly & all the toxic emotions came back!

(2) The downfall of faulty coping mechanism: Creating a Bad Guy:

I stated before that one of my fave scenes of kyo was in se02, ep23 when kyo lashed out at yuki on the stairs upon seeing the hat & how yuki felt nothing but pity towards kyo as he was stuck in the past while yuki moved on. Brilliant scene that explains why one moved on & the other didn;t. Yuki’s faulty coping mechanism was being withdrawn & shutting himself. This coping mechanism didnt make him feel better at all!!! Also, he doesn’t have regrets nor sins, he dealt with his faulty coping mechanism with tohru’s help & the school council & healed gradually. Forever loving the writer for writing the distinction between kyo & yuki logically without painting any as monster in reality. Kyo couldn’t do as yuki for the following reasons: ( remember the old theme of everybody heals on their own pace? love it )

(a) He was addicted to shifting the blame as it made him feel better abt himself!! he shifted his thoughts from “ I wanna go away for good” “ mom, why didn’t you kill me instead” to “ it’s not my fault at all, it’s yuki” No match between the two feelings! one leads to suicide, the other leads to feeling like a mere victim. The two feelings are wrong tho & He knows that! he isn’t ready to stop the drug. He can’t face himself. “ the bad guy, if he isn’t as awful as you think, who you’re left to blame”.

(b) nothing around him can make him feel better. Tohru? but she’s kyoko’s daughter! she’s a lonely orphan, carrying her mommy’s pic taking to it! why? cuz you didn't save her! Loving tohru? is good & I wish we can run away far & be together always! wake up! why would she wanna be with a disgusting monster like you?!! You dont deserve her! you who caused his mom to die, caused her mom to die, blamed an innocent guy! Yuki? yeah, look at yuki, you can never be like him, watch as his true kindness gets noticed by tohru, the school & everybody!! he’s everything you cant be!! he should be with tohru! not you!! Master kazuma? poor guy! you brought him nothing but misery! you see his sad smile, don’t you? he’s disappoint in you. Kagura? she pities you!

(b) Kyo can’t fix his mistakes. kyo watched as yuki got back with his brother, befriended haru again, goes back to the sohma estate for the holidays. he feels he cant have similar reweds as he cant bring the things he needed. his mom, kyoko, his bio dad’s affection, kazuma’s pride in him, tohru’s love & his own satisfaction at himself. kyo just hates kyo “so much, so intensely, so completely”

(c) his fault coping mechanism mirrors his dad’s. Kids pick up toxic habits from parents all the time. Even his suicidal thoughts mirrors his mom’s! brilliant writing!

3- running away from responsibilities: perfectly constructed theme!

Who didn’t? I’m guilty! ugh! one of the best themes in furuba hands down! Any other writer would have made kyo do it once, or twice & have him face it in climax & then deal with it. but NOT takaya-san! She excellently took her time with kyo repeating this exact mistakes over & over to better portray the theme & take it out from the boundaries of story-telling to realistic depiction & logical gradual progression:

kyo ran away from being accused of killing his mom (he’s completely innocent & isn’t responsible for his birth’s deformity/curse nor his mom’s suicide)

kyo ran away from accepting kyoko’s words that yuki isnt bad & most importantly that kyo is good. He had found relief in blaming yuki, now you wanna tell me I should look into myself? I’m bad! i dont wanna look. your words are weird “ no bad or good”  Everybody says otherwise, the sohmas, dad & mom! kyo angrily ran away (completely guilty but excused as child would be).

kyo ran away from facing kyoko’s body & wanted to punish himself with death. Depression took over him as “ master tried to get me to keep living”. (completely guilty in his own eyes, if only he tried to safe her, even if he transformed, Even if she still died regardless!!! he hates himself for choosing the disgusting kyo over the kind kyoko)

kyo ran away from telling tohru the truth upon seeing her, pretended not to know her, slowly dying each time she smiles, slowly falling in love & wishing for a chance with her, a chance he believes doesn't deserve.

Kyo ran away in se01, ep14 when remembering the accident as shigure  triggered him. Tohru consoled him & he lost the chance to come clean.

kyo is running away now. Unable to face her “ too scared to even look at your face”. “ I cant forgive me! I dont want you to fogive me either”

So, after running away the first time, kyo should’ve learned better, right? now in the climax, he shouldn’t  have run away? Yes, he should. cuz simply, he isnt ready. We dont learn from our mistakes cuz someone told us. we learn when we fix the core issue. A guy who thinks he deserves a chance in life would stand tall, confess his sins, argues, talks, tells the story unbiased,  then waits for verdict. kyo thinks he doesn’t deserve to be alive, thus, tells the story with server bias towards judging himself as unworthy. HE decided the verdict & didnt wait for tohru: “ I cant forgive ME! I dont want you to forgive me either” That’s why toru’s words fall flat. “ why cant you see the truth: I love you” he can’t tohru!! cuz right now it is NOT abt love. It is abt trauma!

4- Sever guilt & desire for disappearance (death):

As adults our mistakes loom over us & we’re constantly reminded of the “ what if I had acted differently”. This ties with kyo witnessing his mom’s horrible death at 4 years old. Death in itself is scary. A loved ones death is devastating. Watching it unfold in shocking unprepared way is destructive. kyo was destroyed. Not enough: he gotta carry the guilt as his dad & the sohma hammer the accusations. He gets another chance & loves another person. Only to watch the blood splash reach his shoes. “Guilty” whispers the past. “Guilty” confirms the present. He stands in front of the most precious person to him. Now what? If tohru forgives you, the pain goes away???? You wouldn’t repeat the ultimate mistake of killing her, would you? you ominous creature. Her mom warned you. The nightmare stands hovering over kyo’s head, waiting to come true. IT WILL COME TRUE!!! OMG!!!

if Akito does it. It wouldn’t be kyo’s fault, right?  If the car hit kyoko, it’s not my fault, right? if my mom did it herself, it wouldn’t be my fault, right?

But if only kyo didnt ran away, tohru would be alive. If only I pulled kyoko, she wouldn’t have died. If only I wasn’t born, mom wouldn't have killed herself.

The “ if only “ that killed kyo’s mom as she lamented “ if only I gave birth to the rat” will eventually destroy kyo! ugh!!! AMAZING WRITING!!!

5- The Right Time to Heal (self-desire or outside help?):

When yuki was trapped in Akito’s room, haru visited to help. did yuki accept it? NO. yuki didnt even remember much of it. Why? cuz it wasn’t the right time & yuki was too deep into darkness to notice, to accept & to change. It wasnt until he was out, in co-ed school, rebelling against akito, when tohru came, he accepted her, then it lead him to accept School Council & haru. Tohru had Arisa & hana, but never went to them in her darkest moment, hiding she was living in a tent, they were hurt & confronted her, still she kept hiding her fears, sadness & darkest thoughts, interfering in Arisa’s life to provide help, but never allowing them to interfere, until kyo came & broke her mask, she started to complain, talk, show true emotions & want things! She opened up to Isuzu, too. Arisa & hana weren’t the right ppl at the right time for tohru to heal. Kyo had kazuma to teach him better, kyoko to make him notice his mistakes, tohru to love him unconditionally, the right ppl, but all that was in the wrong time cuz he’s in his darkest moment now like yuki was, unable to see or accept. Healing requires self-desire & outside help, but it gotta be in the right moment, when you can see beyond the abyss & into the faint light of dawn. That’s when words will reach the heart. Kyo need to fall so hard, in order to stand up again. Today, he unloaded his burden, threw up the disgust he felt towards himself, spewed all the hate against the real bad guy: himself! Kyo is kyo’s bad guy, has always been. He needs to let go of hating himself & accept the kind gentle kyo that kyoko & tohru saw ~

Side Notes:

This ep is why furuba wins & deserves 20 years of recognition among manga-readers! this story is real! it is NO sweet fairy tale of two lovers. It is abt one’s self & desire to live. All of them struggle with  this particular desire: kyo, tohru, yuki & the rest.

this ep of kyo confessing/ narrating his past , reminded me of yuki’s 3 eps of him confessing/ narrating his past!!! ugh! I wish tohru had that! ahhhh.

The 4 months in the mountains weren’t training!!!!! they were depression & suicidal thoughts! ouch!!

Perspectives are what dictate our feelings: Through yuki’s eyes, kyo was so happy with a loving father, friends around him & a house outside the sohmas. Thus, yuki envied him & wished to die not knowing kyo was living in trauma & feeling utter contempt & self-loath. Through kyo’s eyes, yuki was so happy with a living loving family, friends around him & a house with respect. Thus, kyo envied him & wished to die Not knowing that yuki was suffering abuse & neglect!

I love the pacing of this ep!!! It gives room to feel pain & understand the situation!!! I didn’t feel the headache of the bullet train!! THANK GOD!!! SO SATISFIED!!! I was invested all the time!

kyoko’s “ I’ll never forgive you” really destroyed kyo & went beyond it to destroy her own daughter! AAAAAAHHHH ~ T_T

I have some issues with the “ I forgot” part. It makes no sense that they make him forget the accident only to do the cheap cliff hanger in ep 6, then lazily weave it into his confession to tohru in ep. 8. He always remembered the accident. Apologized to tohru in her sleep in se01. ep14 for that exact accident, Then in se02, ep 9. It was ALWAYS in his mind! ALWAYS. Sorry Mr. Director. very lame try. lol.

The only thing I didn’t like is the music! very weird choices throughout the ep! especially at the end. Why a happy music over kyo’s “ I’m disappointed in you? lol!! its sad & tragic?! weird!!!!

As soon as I read this, my mind started ranting so hard 😂 I will happily answer! And tysm for asking bc if being able to talk about kaito is rare, imagine how much ive talked about the ships i have with him, so im very happy rn!! 🥰 WARNING: dis gonna be long as hell 👁👄👁

OKAY SO the two main ships I have for Kaito are Oumota and Saimota, Saimota is my fave ship and Oumota is my fave comfort ship! The other ships I rlly like with him are Akamota, Amamota, and Momoharu, i pretty much read any fic that has him paired with someone but these are the ones i search for on my own whereas the others its a "i'll read 'em if i come across em" type of deal! So lets dive in 👁👄👁 (i have endless hc's for my ships so i'll only give a few or else this'll never end)

🌌🎭 Oumota 🎭🌌

Reasons: I am a goddamn sucker for thematic parallels, enemies to friends to lovers, and the rivals tropes 🌚 I dont even know how i fell into the oumota hole, cause i didnt consider it much in game, but after reading a few fics it just made me so happy! I love their banter and clashing personalities and stubborness lol, and goddamn, the post game/hangar fics for them are *chef's kiss*

Hc's:

-The way Kokichi tried to get Kaito to see he had feelings for him was by bothering/pranking the absolute shit out of him, but Kaito's dense to these things so he didnt even realize Kokichi stopped bothering other ppl to target him specifically

-When Kaito realized he had feelings for Kokichi, his initial reaction was "oh fuck oh no why him pls no-"

-Eventually Kokichi had to directly tell him to his face he liked Kaito cause Kaito wasn't getting the message at all

-Kokichi loves stealing Kaito's clothes, esp his jacket

-They argue a lot but its over the absolute dumbest shit like before they got together, its usually nothing serious

-Kokichi secretly loves listening to Kaito talk about space, though he teases Kaito about it

-Kaito's fave thing is to cuddle/spoon Kokichi, cause he's the perf size to snuggle with

🌌🔍 Saimota 🔍🌌

Reasons: CAUSE YES!!! From the beggining of Shuichi being the main, Kaito is there for him and supports him so much and makes sure Shuichi is okay, he's just so supportive and loving and helpful and motivational and he's something Shuichi def needed to move forward in the killing game! I just fucking love their dynamic and how they help each other and how they balance each other out as well, plus the whole hero and sidekick thing is adorable! AND OFC THE FAMOUS "i shouldnt be talking about another boy like that" LINE ASDFGHJKL ITS CANON OKAY

Hc's:

-Shuichi confessed first, it took a few times for him to get his feelings across properly bc each time he said something like "i like you" or whatev kaito was like "aw bro i like you too!"

-Kaito tried to get over his crush on Shuichi bc he thought Shuichi wouldn't go for someone like him (i hc him being kinda insecure and covering it up with that confident persona of his)

-Shuichi isn't big on physical contact, but he makes the exception for Kaito bc he's always so warm and gives the best hugs

-Shuichi is the only person who Kaito lets see him vulnerable, it took a lot of time but he eventually learned to stop bottling everything with Shuichi

-Kaito constantly takes Shuichi stargazing, its his fave thing to do and Shuichi is ever so happy to accompany Kaito and listen to space rambles

-Their first kiss was beyond awkward and Shuichi nearly fainted but they got the hang of it eventually

🌌🥑 Amamota 🥑🌌

Reasons: I literally saw an amamota fic on ao3 and it won me over oops- to me it just makes sense! They're both adventurers in a way and i love their personalities together, Kaito's boisterous nature would be a nice change of pace for the ever calm Rantaro and Rantaro's mellow nature would be something refreshing for Kaito y'know?

Hc's:

-Kaito always tried helping Rantaro catch up in classes bc he always misses 'em to travel and he was always the first one to welcome him back

-Rantaro got attached to Kaito and didnt even realize it until he came back one day and kaito wasnt there to greet him (cue disappointed rantaro and bAM thats when he realized)

-Kaito loves hearing about Rantaro's travels, he's always asking for pics and details

-Kaito confessed first, he literally couldn't take it anymore and just threw it out there while Rantaro was mid greeting

-Rantaro didn't tell Kaito about his sisters until about a year into their relationship bc he was scared Kaito would disappear too

-Rantaro literally re-visited a bunch of islands and countries in the artic circle just to take pics/vids of the aurora borealis for Kaito

🌌🎹 Akamota 🎹🌌

Reason: I just think they'd be sooo cute together 🥺 Kaito and Kaede are both positive people who try to help others and their personalities fit so well together! Idk man it just makes sense to me

Hc's:

-Kaito absolutely loves hearing Kaede play the piano, sometimes he'll sneak record her so he can listen to it whenever he's feeling down

-Kaede tries teaching him how to play the piano, instruments aren't his thing but he tries his best in the lessons cause it makes her happy

-Kaito's confession was accidental, he was just listening to her play when he blurted out how pretty she was, which led to an awkward confession talk with lots of blushing

-Kaede has tried to compose a piano piece that embodies Kaito's personality but she fails everytime, cause his larger than life personality is hard to capture perfectly

Reason: THEY'RE GREAT TOGETHER OKAY 🥺 I just love how Kaito got Maki to come out of her shell and how he trusted her/accepted her!! He gave her the cutest nickname and befriended her and literally gave his life up to protect her, aND MAKI'S CONFESSION ABOUT FALLING FOR KAITO STILL MAKES ME CRY

-Maki confessed it ever so casually while mid training, which literally made Kaito fall over in shock

-Kaito loves Maki's hair, he could spend hours playing with it and he always helps her brush it

-Maki hates her scars, but Kaito's always there to kiss em and remind her how beautiful she is, he always traces constellations on 'em when they cuddle

I can’t explain it honestly i just...i can so picture him being the biggest idiot for his s/o he’s always looking at pics of them and staring at them when they’re around and he’s gonna compliment everything they do period. Like aw the way you sit is so cute, aw I love how you twirl pencils with your fingers when you’re trying to focus, aw your stutter is precious. And god even a tiny CRUMB of kindness from you will put him on cloud nine. Oh you like his jacket?? Okay, he can happily die now. He has pretty eyes? Excuse him he has to go cry in the bathroom. 4. Taishiro Toyomitsu- PLEASE again this man is a major simp gentleman. He holds doors he gets you flowers he cooks you dinner he talks about you all the time. Seriously all the time. Tamaki probably knows your whole life story by now all he does is brag about you. Complete a slightly difficult task? Everyone Taishiro interacts with is gonna know it. Even the villains. If he ever does an interview you’re getting brought up. He doesn’t care how much he has to bend over backward to do it, he’s gonna talk about you or he’ll perish. When you’re together it’s kisses and hugs all the time, he barely ever walks by without giving you some form of kiss, and god the amount of times this man says ‘i love you’ in one day, hell one hour, should be illegal. 

5. Kugo Sakamata- he’s not a super simp BUT he is still a simp, and the nicer you are to him the more simpish he becomes. If you have a normal comfortable give and take dynamic that’s good with him, but if you’re ever very affectionate with him he’ll be total putty in your hands. The longer you’re together the worse it gets. He loves gift-giving and there truly is nothing you can’t have. If you want it then it’s your’s Kugo doesn’t care, why would he? If it’ll make you happy then you can have as many as you want. So all in all, may not be a super simp at first but you can def mold him into one. 

6. Keigo Takami- He doesn’t simp at all in the beginning, he’s actually an annoying little turd. But the longer he spends with you the more infatuated he becomes until eventually it feels like going 6 hours without a kiss from you is majorly pushing it. Tokoyami has heard about every accomplishment you’ve ever made from your job to how quickly you did the dishes the night before. He has seen a thousand photos of you and probably knows you really well if he for whatever reason hasn’t met you. Because Keigo is always stopping to visit on patrols, or begging you to come to see him at the agency for lunch or just a quick hello if you’re going to be passing through. When he gets to know you all he wants to do is make you feel good.

7. Aizawa Shouta- people probably wanted him higher on this list but idk he doesn’t scream simp to me. In public he def does NOT simp, he might stare at you a little too long if he isn’t expecting to see you and he’ll always smile back if you smile at him but don’t expect him to plaster pictures of you everywhere and constantly talk about how much he loves you because that isn’t his style. In PRIVATE though?? This man can simp for the right cause. And sir can this man SIMP. What do you want? A bath? Okay I can do that. Your favorite food? Sure that’s easy. Massage? You don’t even have to ask! He likes the effect he has on you, watching you get flustered and melt at his affection is something he starts to really enjoy the longer the pair of you stay together. 

8. Mirai Sasaki- At first he doesn't simp, but once you hit a few milestones he’ll start. He likes making you laugh, and seeing your smile is at the top of his priority list, he has tons of photos of you smiling and if anyone is having a bad day he’ll think of some silly story about you to tell to cheer them up. Like others, his intern, Mirio, has heard all about you and probably knows you really well. He probably made it a point to introduce you after working with Mirio for a while. Mirio probably sees you as a package deal at this point. 

9.Nemuri Kayama- Girl does NOT simp. You simp for her  and you like it that way, periodsm!!! No actually though at first she also doesn’t simp at all, she doesn’t care, she can have pretty much anyone she wants so if you don’t like her then you can pack it up and find someone else. But the longer you stay with her the more she starts to warm up to it, she likes seeing you happy, so going the extra mile even if it is a bit much for her is something she’s going to start doing more and more. She’ll remember all your favorite things and give you random gifts. She’ll take lots of photos of you to keep for herself  and she’ll send you plenty of her own. She starts to also find a lot of comfort in you and will be looking for ways to spend time with you.
