I feel like if Dipper were ever reincarnated as a demon, he wouldn't fit in super well with the others. Yes, he's been raised to vie for power and step on everyone in his way using whatever means is necessary - it's the same toxic bizz as when he was a human, appealing to gender norms. He's tougher, scarier, more powerful (than ordinary humans, that is), but when it comes to asserting control - being Evil - he doesn't have it in him. Given enough time, I think he'd grow pretty vocal about leaving living things alone. NOT torturing organisms for the hell of it, or stealing people's souls, or conquering planets. Sure, he's a demon. That's no excuse to be a MONSTER.
It's a VERY unpopular opinion amongst neighboring demons, and rumor spreads fast about the Goody Two-Shoed Activist imp raining on everyone's blood-splattered parade, so much so that it makes it to Bill, who's immediately intrigued. Call it intuition, but only one soul's capable of overriding goddamn demon nature for some preachy bullshit about "Doing Good." Lucky for him, demons occupy the same plane of existence, so all it really takes to verify the guy is a snap of his fingers, and POOF! He's floating right next to him. Sure enough, Dipper's fashioned himself a new and improved demonic form, and it is lovely!
No one likes Dipper's kumbaya "Can't We All Just Get Along" ideology, but Bill's almost instantly smitten with the guy, whoever he is, so he's gotta be at least somewhat powerful. Demons take notice when the all-powerful Bill Cipher starts lending his time (and magic?) to some low-leveler like Dipper. Is he being blackmailed? Are they working together? No. Not possible. Bill doesn't "work" with anyone, save for whatever human catches his eye every few decades. Doesn't look to be doing him any benefit, either. The opposite, even. Lending power to a saint like Dipper only makes it harder to cause chaos, after all. Why would he actively go against his OWN best interest to cater some imp's? It's almost like he's. He's.
A henchmen.
(Bill's also 30% more affectionate the first month they reunite, because he still can't believe that his adorable little human husband came back as the same SPECIES as him! He'd never complain over having a sweet human to squeeze, but one with teeth and claws and cute pointy ears doesn't hurt).

i find wei wuxian, jin guangyao, and xue yang really interesting as foils of each other for a lot of reasons, but a big one to me is the ways they relate to gentry society
jin guangyao is extremely aware of his vulnerable position with relation to the gentry, and he's very conscious of the hypocrisy involved in the classism he experiences. still, he tries to operate within those constraints to rise in status within the gentry -- and he eventually succeeds! he becomes chief cultivator and head of the wealthiest clan around! but he never stops being hyperaware that everything could be taken away from him in an instant, a fear that is eventually proven to be justified
xue yang reacts in the exact opposite way. instead of the constructive way jgy operates to climb the social ladder, he's purely destructive. he was abused by a member of the gentry, so he'll destroy a whole clan in revenge. he saw the injustice of how he was treated because he was poor, and he decided to burn it all to the ground in revenge
so if jgy is working within gentry society, and xue yang is working against it, wei wuxian is a third option -- completely separating himself from it. sure, he had the benefit of being adopted by a gentry clan, but we saw how well that worked out for him in the long run, and he was never allowed to forget his origins. like the other two, he's very aware of the hypocrisy of the gentry and is a direct victim of it, but instead of playing by their rules or burning it to the ground, he just. fucks off. if he'd been left alone, he could've probably stayed in the burial mounds indefinitely. he wouldn't have been happy, but that's more about missing his family than missing his status. and at the end, he has married into a gentry clan again and is begrudgingly accepted by gentry society, but he's more aware than anyone how conditional that acceptance is. his fondness for rogue cultivators and his cottagecore fantasies show that he's not really concerned with class and status, he just wants to be free and happy with the people he loves, separate from the concerns of high society

Samuel the nymph of the Huldufólk
My world takes many inspirations from the mythology and folklore of our real world. Samuel is one of my characters that threads a lot of these inspirations together.
There are two main “species” of peoples in Lower Earth, the humanoids (human-like), like all the other drawings I’ve shown you so far, and the nymphoids (nymph-like) like Samuel here. But nymphoids and humanoids are again separated into many cultures and groups. Samuel himself is one of the Huldufólk, which is actually mostly humanoid. These people are inspired by Icelandic fairies, famous for the invisibility powers (hence Hidden-Folk). Samuel has these powers himself, but is the first in their family to do so. His descendants come from more southern regions, who fled war and oppression between the Unseelie and Seelie fae “countries”. Secretly, Samuel is a cross-breed, as in his grandparents are both human and nymph. The only visual identification of this is that Samuel is a little short for a male nymph, at a mere 194cm (6ft 4).

i understand when people say that they don’t think jatherine wouldn’t last and obviously the way their relationship ends up is up for interpretation but i can’t imagine anything else than them growing old together and being married and in love because they literally changed each others perceptions of love (“love at first sight’s for suckers / at least it used to be” and etc. vs “til the moment i found you / i thought i knew what love was”)
i think these come from jack struggling with commitment and him not really being able to stay in one place which then in turn seeps into how he views relationships and therefore would struggle with keeping a serious, meaningful relationship with someone, especially in a romantic sense, and katherine not having really experienced unconditional love and support like this in her life. obviously this one is more of an interpretation than canon but given the way her father is, it’s very likely, and after meeting jack she gets to properly learn what love is. through all of the cocky flirting she could see someone who actually cared for her and wanted to spend time with her just for the sake of being around her and it opened her eyes to something new. generally speaking neither of them have experienced a serious romantic relationship like this before, in my eyes, and it will not be perfect and it will be messy but it’s their mess and they love it and they love each other forever and ever.
