out of curiosity, do you have any preferred headcanons for how tall the members of the Batfam are? who's the tallest to shortest?

listen I don't have exact measurements but I do have vibes. I'm going to say right out of the gate that I simply do not hold with DC artists and their habit of Russian nesting dolling the Robins so they're each a little bit shorter with age, it's a useful visual shorthand but it's also not my truth even if I sometimes agree with portions.

for instance: I do have to concede that Bruce needs to be the tallest of the Batboys in order to enable a lot of his whole schtick, especially your modern era Batmans who are built to be tanks as opposed to the sleeker, more acrobatically-oriented Batman of earlier ages. Batfleck honestly had a great build for it, 6'4 and built to loom.

on the other hand, I Know what male gymnasts look like and Dick came from a whole family of them; he doesn't need to be SHORT short but brother he is not the tallest Robin by any stretch. he's 5'8 if he's Lucky, likely shorter. and he's fine with it! he isn't insecure about being a compact king!

I strongly dislike the recent development towards drawing adult Jason as a brute, but I have long enjoyed the headcanon that he would have had a hard growth spurt after Bruce took him in and he didn't have to worry about food insecurity. he is absolutely taller than Dick but, HOT TAKE, I don't think he's a Lot taller. as Red Hood he's definitely exaggerating the difference with chunky boots + his stupid full-face mask for extra height, + his jacket and all his gear make him look taller and broader than Nightwing in his little skintight getup. out of costume they physically look much more similar.

I also super hate when Tim is drawn as a skinny short little waif, genuinely there's no reason for that. that's a little American rich boy who grew up on milk and white bread, there's no reason for him to look like he has Victorian urchin wasting disease. fuck this, Tim is taller than both Dick and Jason. same energy as the improv kid I went to high school with who was 5'11 but cool about it.

completing the circle and fully reversing the Robins, I know that other fans have pointed out that Damian's Asian heritage conspires against him being hugelarge as an adult, but genetics are a grab bag and I think he deserves to be Bruce-sized. adult Damian can pick Dick up and put him in the fridge if he wants. at present though his growth spurt is really taking its sweet time and he's hovering around Cass-height (see below).

Duke is hovering in a zone right between Jason and Tim but everyone forgets that and imagines him being taller because the little bat ears on his helmet give him a couple extra inches.

a lot of older comics, especially the Dixon run, frequently have Selina drawn like she's tall as all hell, and I honestly love that for her. 5'11, Megan Thee Stallion kind of build for her.

Cass is frequently drawn as tiny to an extent that is, frankly, implausible and borderline upsetting (if memory serves she literally got folded up and carried in a backpack once?) but listen: she's certainly not tall. I'm willing to offer her 5'3 as an absolute maximum. also literally no one asked but Michelle Yeoh is the Lady Shiva of my heart and shes 5'4, so that's canon To Me.

however tall Dick is in your head I want you to add one (1) inch and that's Barbara. this is so crucial to me.

Steph is like a deeply average 5'4 and a half, and I realize this Does mean that I've Russian nesting dolled the Batgirls (at least in order of appearance in comics, not the actual order they Batgirls) and I am Fine with that. throw Harper Row in here too, she and Steph are just chilling being average height gal pals.

Helena is freakishly tall by Italian woman standards, by which I mean like 5'7.

this is vile and I'm sorry to the Robins but unfortunately Jean Paul is a genetically engineered freak bred to kill so he's probably taller than all of them save for an adult Damian. 6'2 to my miserable boy. beginning to think I was lying when I said I didn't have exact numbers.

She took care of Mileena and Kitana when they were babies; Mileena sometimes gets so sad she's taller than Talia now. Doesn't mean she won't ask for uppies. Also; Step-dad Bi-Han would be so goddam funny.

Generally don't really have static heights, since I normally refer to them as being taller or shorter than you, but! I'll hand out some static heights here along with relative ones

Killer is 5'6"(168cm), or about your height Dust is 5'4"(163cm), or a little shorter than Killer Axe is 6'6"(198cm), you come to his shoulder Cross is 5'6"(169cm), or just a hair taller than Killer, but about your height Baggs is 5'0"(153cm), or a little shorter than you and everyone else Nightmare is 6'3"(191cm), or a fair bit taller than you, but not as tall as Axe. His height can fluctuate a bit, but he's usually around this tall

Dream is 5'3"(161cm), or slightly shorter than you, and a foot shorter than his brother usually is Ink is 5'2"(158cm), or slightly shorter than you, and just a hair shorter than Dream Blue is 5'3"(160cm), or slightly shorter than you, and just a smidge shorter than Dream

I'm going back to my roots and making headcanons for the early Ch2 gang:

-Even taking away his scar, Midas still has terrible eyesight. He has glasses but only wears them if his head is hurting really badly and/or is by himself. So if he's walking around the Agency and someone tries to stop him, unless it's a life-or-death situation then he will pull out the "I'm afraid I didn't see you, sorry" and skedaddle

-This also applies to Jules but to a lesser extent

-Ocean's natural hair color is brown, though it's been dyed its usual pink for years. When it gets wet though, it somehow turns purple (I borrowed this one from a post I saw a long time ago) and then back to pink when it dries. Nobody knows how it works and she will never tell

-When she first transitioned, Skye had long hair that came down past her shoulders. After an accident on her first mission when it got stuck, she cut it to the length it is now. Tina cut her hair too to help the younger girl feel better

-Cameo is Turk's daughter, and Tina is her adopted sister. Midas' nicknames for them include 'nuisance,' 'disaster twins,' and 'why did I allow myself to hire you two?'

-The order of Team GHOST's heights from tallest to shortest goes Meowscles (6'5), Brutus (6'2), Midas (6'0), Maya (5'7), Tina (5'5), Skye (5'3)

I came across with a post about how to properly draw an asian character, and it was really interesting to see everything, also is a good lesson. So I thought about how colombians are pictured around the world, and is sure to say that certain people has marked the perception of us. I love how many people recognize people like Shakira or Gabriel García Márquez (I love this man books 💕), but unfortunately Escobar is also recognizable.

I don't know. Maybe no one will use this or maybe someone will, but here are some tips to write a colombian character. Remember this is my experience, and it still limited to what I've known all my life. I might have something wrong.

-First things first. The accent! I know that probably you have heard the accent used for some series or maybe you heard Shakira's accent. But those aren't the only ones in Colombia, actually those are really specific.

We have regions, and the accents change from one to another and from a city to another! The most known is from Medellín (we call them paisas) and it is stronger than others from the same department. For example I have a friend that travels a lot to that part of the country, and she says that outside Medellín the accent is somehow softer.

And from the Caribbean region, the accent is (from what I've heard) quicker and they speak louder, as far as I know is because of the heat and a physics matter. I only have traveled to Cartagena once, but is a big difference between their accent and mine, I can assure you that. Also, unfortunately I haven't visited many places, so I can't say for sure about other regions, for example I have no idea how the accents change on the Pacific region or the Orinoquia.

But I can speak a bit more about the Andean region. I'm from Bogotá and I sound weird sometimes, but if someone tells you that in Bogotá we don't have accent, that's bullshit. We do have an accent and it varies from a part of the city to another, I don't know how to describe it.

When you are in the north, it sounds like they are eating something while they speak (my mom compared it with a hot potato). And in some parts of the south, some people speak with many words impossible to traduce to english and it sounds like they are going to start a fight.

-Next, the skin color. It's usual to think, even among colombians, that a skin tone is unique for a region, but in reality there isn't a specific tone. There are afro-descendants, indigineous people, half-blood, and white people. Many skin colors can be present in a same family, again the example case is my own family.

I'm white as well as cousin but my uncle is black, and my grandma, she has brown skin. All of us are related by blood, but our skin is really different. As far I have investigated and seen, the most common tone is brown, and is really usual to see black/brown hair and brown eyes (red or blonde is rare, also are blue and green eyes).

And our height is a big comparison too! While my dad is 6', his mom is 5'3, his brother is 6'2 and his father was 5'4 (I'm 5'6 btw).

Something I really hate to admit, but that gives more information about my own country, is that even after all this time and the change of decades, many people continue being racist unconsciously. Across the country is usual that the mother tell the daughter to marry a white guy, but I'll be usual to discourage a marrriage or a relationship with a black person. (My experience, when I introduced one of my best friends that born in Chocó Pacific region, my family thought he was my boyfriend and wanted me to broke up with him.)

-About people, we are religious in many levels and most of the kids are raised catholic, not necessarily nuns schools, but religion is really important in most schools. It's normal to see many grandmas doing the rosary while making the lunch and many grandpas going to mass during sundays. And so, it's usual to use expressions such as "Ave María Purísima!" when you are surprised or "calle la boca que Cristo escucha" when someone says something weird and "Dios me lo bendiga, mijo" if you are grateful for something.

Also across downtown Bogotá there are many churches, a cathedral on the main square, churches near many neighborhoods and a church on top of the Eastern hills (Monserrate to be specific). Personally I'm not very religious, but during part of my childhood I was dragged to mass, because of homework and now I just memorized part of the service.

Some universities are also religious, or at least managed by an archidiocese. The one I attend is laic, but one of my professors also teaches on one that is religiously managed and he told us that they asked him to keep some...topics outside the pensum.

-There are some expressions apart of the ones above that are only colombian, even some are from only one region or city. I'll write and try to explain some of them.

"No dé papaya, hermano...": This one is used mostly when you have a valuable item (cellphone, jewelery or your wallet) outside without a care in the world. Unfortunately is awfully common to get robbed, so if you "das papaya" is like let yourself get robbed basically.

"Este chino es juicioso, tranquilo": In Colombia, "juicioso" means be responsible, respectful and kind. More or less. To be honest, is difficult to explain, so I'll write as I interprete it.

"Uy no, ya paila": This one is used when someone is beyond reparation or fixing. For example when you made a big mistake and there's no way to solve it, also when something is broken and you can't repair it.

"El man es un bacán": When someone is really cool and fun to be around.

"El que busca encuentra": Is the equivalent of "fuck around and find out".

"Se le corrió el shampoo": We use it when some is acting weird, or acting differently from how they usually act. My mom uses it often with my dad, he is a bit childish and well, there it goes.

"Mande al chino": It's to send the child to do something. Here we call "chino" to a kid.

"No me abra los ojos que no le voy a echar gotas": The moms use this one, mostly when a kid is getting scolded and they open their eyes in surprise or disgust. But also it's used to warn a kid that the are misbeheaving.

"Son como uña y mugre": It's when someone is so close with other person (family or not) that they do almost everything together, and know eachother perfectly. They can know eachother from a long time, at least that's my case.

"Ay sí, no jodas...": You use this one when you don't believe something that someone tells you.

"Ese man es más abeja": This is when a person is cunning or sly, and it can be said in a good or a bad way.

"Este es como los burros cuando les echan flores": When someone got praised, but a moments after they do something stupid.

"Va pal' cielo y va llorando": This one is about someone that has everything, or that thir life is going right, and keeps complaining about little things.

-Our geography is variated and some of us are used to some aspects of it. For example people that live near the coast are way more used to the heat, but people from the center mostly can't stand heat (my case). And on the other hand, the people of the center are used to the altitude and the steepness of the road (fucking downtown streets), and I've seen that, during the first year of a classmate from Guaviare, it was difficult to get used to the altitude.

The weather are really different from place to place, humid, dry and more. In Cartagena is a dry heat (I think) and in Bogotá is usually cold and foggy, but it can change in a minute. During january to june are the hottest months and during august to december are the coldest ones.

In Bogotá can be raining hard (an aguacero as we call them) and five minutes later can be doing a hellish heat. Personally I prefer the rain and the cold that the heat, but the sun is appreciated from day to day.

Also, the road trips can be from two hours (Bogotá-Ubaté) to almost two days aprox. (Leticia-Riohacha)

-Music! I love the music and many people also does! And if I can think of something that always make me laugh are the songs tipical from december!

Here are many songs that we hear for the holidays (the radio stations usually start to put them since september because...tradition), some of them we know them so good that we identify them just with the rythm. I can think of many but the names just don't appear, but the ones I'll never forget are:

So i decided to make a calculation for Mazm christine and erik. I'm just using the genral height comparisom from internet and i think christine here is around 147-148 cm (shes smol) and melek here is around 149-150 cm

As for erik he's probably around 175 or the tallest possibility being 188 cm or 6'2" ft like most adaptations but not more than 190 cm. I'm 161 cm or 5'3 ft so i think i can reach his shoulder or if not a bit taller amd reach almost his neck. Monsieur firmin is a giant being almost 200 cm according to the official mazm height chart. Im gonna assume he's around 192-197 cm

I'm 5'7" so I'm not too short (or tall) but there's still some differences between me and my F/Os' heights!!

Mychael is 6'2" and he enjoys being just tall enough to have me rest my head on his shoulder when we sit together!

Charlie is 6'3" he likes our little height difference because I can steal his sweaters and loose shirts! He really likes having me wear them around the house

Sir Pentious is 7'4" which can be a little intimidating at first, but it just means that to him I weigh practically nothing! He can just scoop me up whenever he wants affection and it's really nice!

Simon is 6'0" and he usually enjoys comparing the size of our hands! Whenever he does he ends up entwining our fingers and kissing the back of my hand as well as my knuckles!

JD is 6'1" and he honestly wishes he was slightly taller, but I think his height is wonderful! He enjoys putting his head on top of mine whenever I'm sitting down, it's pretty sweet

Muichiro is 5'3" and he honestly enjoys the fact that he needs me to bend down whenever he wants a kiss! Sometimes he'll ask me to bend down so he can tell me something then give me a surprise kiss, just to see me flustered...

Hunter is 5'6" and he doesn't mind that our heights are similar! He says that just makes hugs and kisses easier and better for both of us. He also says that it feels nice to have someone that sees eye to eye with him

Zebruh is 5'3" and he absolutely hates being shorter than me. He also lies about his height all the time, but no one believes it when he says that he's 6'5", for obvious reasons. I think it's cute that I can just scoop him up whenever I feel like it though, and he does too~

Let There Be Light - Chapter Nine

You made your way downstairs and into the kitchen. You went to the refrigerator to get you a bottle of water. When you shut the refrigerator door, you seen Soap standing there waiting for you.

"Could you not be an even bigger creep?" you say letting out a laugh.

He smirks at you. "You're really dressed for activities, huh?" he says eyeing you.

You felt your face start to heat up. "So where is this training supposed to take place?" you ask rolling your eyes and changing the subject.

"Follow me" he says. You follow him out the kitchen and keep walking straight. You walk past the living room and straight ahead to a door. He opens the door and starts walking down steps. Once you reach the bottom of the steps, you look around. This fucking place was huge. There was an armory, tons of ammunition and guns, tactical gear, a damn shooting range, a fucking bar and a fighting pad. There were chairs lined up around the fighting pad. It wasn't anything glorious, just a huge blue mat that was maybe two inches thick that covered a large section of the floor of the basement.

The first person to notice you was the guy who let everyone know that the crates had arrived. He gets up from his chair and makes his way towards you. You take note of the glass of brown liquid in his cup.

"I'm Gaz" he says. He was definitely drinking because the alcohol just punched you in the face.

"I'm Harley" you reply to him.

"Oh, I know" he says letting out a laugh, "I've heard quite a bit about you. I can't wait to see what you got to bring to the table". And with that, he gives you a smile and walks back over to his chair and sits down. There was metal music playing and it was one of your favorite bands - Five Finger Death Punch.

While your eyes scanned the new territory, they couldn't help but fall on a familiar presence. Ghost. Your eyes catch his. He's sitting secluded from everyone, but still in the same position. Knees spread wide and eyes piercing through you.

"Don't be a stranger. Let's see what the Reaper is all about!" you hear Soap shout. Price and Gaz hold their drinks in the air to salute you. You start making your way to the pad. Ghost stands up and steps onto the mat. Your heart rate picked up. He was huge and there was that fucking feeling in your stomach again. You step on the mat and head towards Ghost. This man had to be at least 6'2 and here you were a whopping 5'3.

"You going to take that mask off, or will I have to do it for you?" you ask him, flashing him a daring smirk.

Price lets loose a deep laugh. Ghost narrows his eyes at you. You carefully watch him. Trying to figure out his rhythm. His flow and how he operates. He takes one step to the right and so do you mirroring his footwork. Your eyes remain locked on to his and not wanting to look away at a distraction. You both continue this waltz around the pad for a few more seconds before he quickly throws his right arm at you with a balled-up fist. You quickly rear back and squat down, kick out your right leg and swipe it towards his. Ghost stumbles back and you take your left leg and kick him in the stomach. Ghost falls back and you waste no time hooking one of his knives out of his pants and quickly straddling him as he lands on his back. You take your left hand and wrap it around his throat, while your right hand twirls the knife, so you have better control over it and presses it against his throat.

Ghost is piercing up at you with a look in his eyes that you can't quite read.

"Goddamn" you hear Gaz say under his breath. You sit there on stop of Ghost with both of your legs on either side of him waiting for his next move. Finally, you see his eyes squint and you knew he was grinning us mask. He let out deep growl and before you knew it, he flipped you over on your back and him between your legs. You still had the knife in your hand, but he took is right hand and manipulated yours, so the knife was still in your hand, but you were holding it at your own throat. He places his left hand a little over your head, so his body was hovering above yours.

He leaned down close to your ear, "Nice try little mouse." Your breath hitched and you could smell the whisky on his breath. Something warm burned deep inside of you. You thought of a million ways in a matter of seconds to get out of this and not embarrass yourself. A part of you hated how cocky you were just a moment ago because here you are again, getting put in your place by him.

You quickly wrap your lags around his waist and heard a faint growl come from his throat. You swallowed hard and squeezed your legs as hard as you could hoping the pressure would force him to let his grip lose on your right hand. You felt yourself being picked up and unwrapped your legs from his waist. You drew back your right leg and kicked Ghost in his left thigh where you stabbed him the first time you met each other.

Ghost drops you and falls to his knees and you can hear him seething through his teeth. You go to pull your leg back again to kick him in the chest and you grabs your ankle. 'Oh shit' you thought. He pulls you to him roughly and grabs you by your right arm. Your grip lets loose on the knife and you drop it. He pulls you to him, turning you in the process. He wraps his right arm around your throat and his left hand braces his right arm. He has you in a chokehold. To make matters worse, he leans back and has you flush with him. Your ass sitting perfect against him.

You take your right arm and draw back to elbow him in the ribs. You made contact but he acts like it doesn't affect him. You do this a few more time and nothing is working. Your head is feeling tight, and your vision is becoming blurry.

"Ghost" you barely hear Soap say. "Ghost!"

He releases you and you go to fall forward. His right-hand cups under your chin and he brings you back to him. Your head is pushed back against him, causing your back to arch and your ass to dig deeper into him. The air was still, and nobody said anything. You don't even think anyone was breathing.

He loosens his grip on you, and you fall forward catching yourself on your hands, coughing. Your ass is still pressed into him. You stayed there for a few more seconds dropping your head. You bring your right leg up and go to kick him in the balls. He catches your ankle again, knowing what your intentions were. You quickly take your left leg and hook it into his neck and force him on the pad. You turn your body and wrap your thighs around his neck. He tries to pry your legs apart, but they were strong.

He reaches up to try and get you in the thigh at your wound but you grabbed his arm and pulled it towards you and held it in place.

You reached down with your other hand and hooked your finger under his mask and attempted to pull it up. Ghost immediately grabbed your wrist and held you in place. You could feel the grip on your wrist becoming tighter and felt like your wrist was about to break.

"You asked for that one darling" you heard Price warn.

You weren't going to give up. You both stayed there for what felt like forever. Both of you not moving and both of you not quitting. After a few more seconds, you felt Ghost double tap your shoulder with the arm you brought up to you. You immediately let go and collapsed on the pad with your chest heaving up and down.

"Reaper has balls" you hear Soap tell Price and Gaz. 'You goddamn right' you thought.

Ghost picked himself up and walked off the pad and headed towards the bar. You still laid there on your back watching him pick up two glasses and pour whiskey in both. He closed the bottle and walked back over to you and held one of the glasses out. You prop yourself up on your left elbow and grab the glass with your right hand.

He takes a swig of whiskey and walks off. You sit up and throw the shot back.

"And she can drink!" you hear Soap yell. Gaz and Price both laugh.

You pick yourself off the mat and stand up. "Okay, so who's next?" you say while letting out a small laugh.

"Now, we see what you can do with a gun and a knife" Price tells you.

7. Ever had tickle fantasies?

Oooh, FAR too often! Especially before I met my fiancé, when tickles were brief and few and far between. They are less common now but arguably WAY WORSE since there's a chance of many of them actually coming true.

15. What do you love about the lees you know?

I don't know any "lees" in real life, per se. The people I know who are ticklish IRL aren't part of this community. If we are talking simply people who I tickle, however, my fiancé is definitely my favorite. He gets so giggly and panics when I manage to worm my way under his arms, begging and grabbing for my wrists. He's tall (6'2") while I'm short (5'3") so the power rush is INSANE! Plus he's got the CUTEST LAUGH IN THE WORLD, and I don't care if its biased for me to think so.

Question in TBOTS how tall do you imagine each character? Especially for James and Teddy

Well I made this chart of James and Teddy, though I couldn't decide if James should be 5'6", 5'7" or 5'8" so I settled on 5'7". I imagine Teddy is about the same height as Remus though, a tall young man 🥰

I think Lily is about the same height as James, give or take an inch, while Albus is a bit taller, taking on some of Arthur Weasley's tall genes (I'm so obsessed with the older sibling being the shortest it is my fave thing ever. I also think I'm one of the few people who headcanon Albus as "tall" idk why). I guess I could make like a list, but the Weasley family is all pretty tall so I imagine most of the cousins to be average to tall height, know? Especially the women. Give me tall women or give me death 😩❤️

How tall are the members of the Company of light and all the people around (like Valtor, the twins...)?

Um... everybody is tall, basically.

Valtor is the tallest of all of them. Easily 6'2-6'3. And from the flashback in 3x10 it appears that Griffin is a little shorter than him but she's wearing heels so she's about 6 feet tall.

In 5x12 Marion and Oritel both seem to tower over Bloom as well, quite similarly to Valtor. I absolutely love the idea that Oritel is equally as tall as Griffin but because of her heels, he consistently looks shorter which drives him a little bit insane but he would never admit it. Griffin would simply shred his ego to pieces if he gave his annoyance away. And Marion would be about 5'7-5'8.

Hagen is taller than them all (except for Valtor) at 6'1. Meanwhile, Faragonda is the shortest. She's not more than 5'5 and she literally has to look up when she's talking to any of them. It doesn't bother her as much as it's just exhausting.

Saladin is an interesting case because in 3x23 when we see him with Griffin and Faragonda when they were young (brief flashback while Faragonda is talking to the Alfea and CT teachers), he is as tall as Griffin (who is, again, wearing heels there). So he was probably Hagen's height. BUT in the present he's actually shorter than Faragonda, which would mean he's about 5'2-5'3. Don't know the hows or whys of him shrinking.

The twins are both shorter than Griffin (in my headcanons; I don't think we can draw any info on that from canon). I'd say Zarathustra is 5'7 and has a single, solitary centimeter on Ediltrude which pisses Ediltrude off because Zara is both older AND taller. That's bull.

You know what? I am enjoying the thought of Daphne as actually being even taller than Valtor because she was gigantic in Bloom's dreams and I'm aware that that was just a projection but wouldn't it be hilarious if she's the tallest Domino royal ever? Meanwhile, Bloom is literally one of the shortest people from the lineage.
