I got dorf fortress!!

I'm into my first winter and the only thing that's died is one turkey (i butchered it because a dwarf was screaming for bones) but three necromancers have moved in and i have no mushroom seeds left. But i have a lot of mushroom wine and eggs so the dwarfs seem happy.

I'm honestly incredibly glad you're playing the game and enjoying it.

If you have Necromancers moving in, you ought to be fine. Even if everybody else starves or dies of thirst, then your Necromancers will remain as they have no need of food or drink.

As ever, I'd advise constructing two fisheries beside any body of water you have to start fishing, and setting up a well near it too.

The best you can find in Winter would likely be underground, so strike the earth! I believe in you.
