𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝; what tenderness has to be had when a spiral of death leaves trails of anger? yuna has few memories of true happiness throughout the years — once her mantle of naïveté came undone amidst pain and anguish, she promised herself she would not let the world crumble in sadness. today, she resides over what yevon would never allow in the halls of old bevelle: pure joy with intricated hands with friends, family and loved ones. a ball of some sort had become the event of the moment, one high summoner yuna would be the host of. she's careful with pushing boundries within the new bevelle, and yet something calls her heart for vindication of all the time spent believing falsehood. so she allows herself this moment of peace, of joy — and she personally sent for dona to attend, the new lead of kilika.

and how pleasant it has been, for them to eye one another across the sacred halls as more influent people swarmed the place — with a nod of her head directed at dona, and a tug of her lips, as she then returned to conversation with other figures that demanded the high summoner's attention now that she had allowed herself out of her work ridden chambers.

it is not much after yuna allows herself rest and respite, finally free of the hold of any new small conversation. she is always content to see familiar faces and ones that chant of her incredible dedication, but she realizes as of late how lonely sitting atop bevelle truly feels. she adheres to the side of the halls, chalice in hand as she hides her lips, and her eyes beam with surprise and joy when the familiar figure she had been happy to see joins her side, quietly and shuffling at her side. the high summoner is quick to offer her a similar cup found behind them with a polite nod, words coming from her lips as she accepts her offer.

yuna's eyes point towards where dona's gaze rests, finding the figure of barthello left unattended at the center of the grand hall, curious of the subject in question. her hands retract to herself, cup laying against her arm, laughter erupting silently and filling her lungs — though it is short lived, as her lips turn to rest into a straight line, yet still upholding in curvers at the corner as barthello insists on performing traditional kilika dance moves that yuna almost fails to recognize. a calm silence follows, one yuna basks in for a moment long. ❝ i wish sir auron was here to see him. ❞ the flower of nostalgia blossoms deep within her chest, eyes at times misty with memories — thus yuna inches closer to dona, her arm shamelessly interliking with hers, now forced in proximity as she does so, yet unable to look at her, truly look at her, for too much must unravel if she allows herself to look into the dark pools of her eyes, and thus her gaze continues to wander off where dona's companion entertains the crowd. ❝ he would have thought the same as you, i'm sure. ❞

There’s something about Elemental that I love but I can’t quite seem to articulate.

[Spoilers by the way]

At the end of the movie, Ember and Wade leave together so Ember can take her internship at the glass company. This is supposedly a full time thing for her, which means she’s moving. Like yeah, she underestimates herself like “oh it probably won’t go anywhere and I’ll be back home soon,” but that’s a very “ooh this is a big step and I don’t feel ready to move out” mentality (literally told my parents I’d be back at the end of my first year’s lease, it’s just a mental safety net, but boy was that a relatable line for me). Regardless of her lack of confidence in herself and this potential new job, she is moving out. And Wade is going with her.

She had said “I want to travel the world with you.” That’s great, and I hope they do, but that’s not what’s happening here. It’s said that this is several months, maybe even a year after the main events of the movie. The majority of the movie itself spans a couple weeks or so (edit: I counted, it’s about 8-12 days). So by the time they leave for Ember’s internship, Ember and Wade have been dating for a while. Anywhere between three months and a year. Wade is leaving with her, and it’s difficult for me to believe they’re going anywhere but the same place. Which means they’re moving in together.

Now I know that it sounds like I’m just freaking out and being incoherent about a ship, but the truth of the matter is, that’s really mature of Pixar.

Family friendly and kid-centric animation tends not to push anything but the “fall in love, kiss, get married, move in, have babies” pipeline. But what I loved about Elemental was that it portrayed a REALISTIC, HEALTHY, and MATURE relationship. One where the couple has arguments about real things that matter and after space, they talk it out. One where “I don’t understand” isn’t an invitation to shut down (even if Ember meant it that way in the heat of the moment), but an invitation to try and learn. One where anger and “I’m leaving” can be met with “I’m coming with you,” and one where the couple doesn’t just love each other right off the bat, they have to DATE MANY TIMES AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER, SEE EACH OTHER IN THE WORST OF TIMES, and THEN, realize they’re in love. AND they said it out loud, which doesn’t happen often either (edit: I am well aware that a week or two is a very short amount of time to fall in love, but I’m gonna cut them A LITTLE slack because it’s not like. 3 days, and also they seemingly saw each other every single day for those couple weeks and had the months after that. It’s rare, but sometimes, when you know, you know).

But beyond that. Beyond dating, getting to know each other, communicating and helping each other out, and deciding “yes, we can and should be together,” Elemental showed these two doing an adult thing together—leaving home and moving out. Because they are ADULTS. And the fact that I felt like this movie was targeted towards me and my peers the same way a PG-13 or R rated movie might be, strictly because of the realism in the character’s interactions and dynamic, that is something that I absolutely adore. Like, Zootopia was a kid’s movie with mature themes. Miraculous is a kid’s show with mature themes. Even Avatar: The Last Airbender was clearly targeted towards children, even though we all know it has something for everyone.

But Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. The Spider-Verse movies. And honestly, Elemental. These feel like our movies. Movies I’m glad the kids can enjoy, but they’re made for us. The 20- and 30-year-olds.

I’m just so happy to see animation studios treating adult characters like real people. Maybe soon people will start to recognize animation as a legitimate form of storytelling, too.

I loved Elemental. I really did.

Let's do some Science and examine Pingxie in a Very Serious Manner.

To do this, first let's take a look at some data gathered from all the danmei novels and shows I know (relevant for calibration you know, since they have actual canon top/bottom dynamics.)

SVSSS

Shen Qingqiu - Since his cause of death wasn't starvation we can assume - well, at least hope - that he can make instant noodles, if nothing else, but he will absolutely avoid having to cook if he can help it.

Luo Binghe - As the Protagonist he of course has to be The Bestest at everything (...except sex, apparently) and it's mentioned that both Bingge and Bingmei use their culinary skills to woo the people they want to sleep with. He's also the top, even though everyone involved would be better off if he wasn't.

MDZS

Lan Wangji - Becomes a pretty decent cook, as per the extras. Prefers to top.

Wei Wuxian - It's not like he's incompetent, he doesn't burn or undercook the food, it's just that his taste is so extreme that his dishes are basically inedible to anyone else.

TGCF

Hua Cheng - No special talent for cooking, but at least he's not actively dangerous. There's no on-page sex scene in the novel, but it's made obvious that he tops.

Xie Lian - Biohazard. Weapons-grade culinary anti-talent. Gastronomy's answer to Vogon poetry.

Golden Stage

Ulike in most of the other novels on the list, food doesn't really have much symbolic meaning and not much is said about either Fu Shen's or Yan Xiaohan's cooking skills, exept for a brief mention of Fu Shen pickling eggs to pass the time. This is a rare couple that canonically switches.

Guardian

Zhao Yunlan - This man considers instant noodles cooked with coffee an okay way to surprise a boyfriend. He really wouldn't mind topping, which he keeps lamenting throughout the book, but he's paired with Shen Wei who might just have the strongest set preference out of everyone on this list.

Shen Wei - Likes to dote on Zhao Yunlan by cooking for him and is genuinely very good at it.

Word of Honor (mind, I have only watched the show here)

Zhou Zishou - Can keep himself alive, but left to his own devices would probably make due with charred-and-yet-undercooked fish or something.

Wen Kexing - A competent cook. While obviously not detailed in the drama I looked it up (or asked someone, I can't remember) and he's the top here.

Erha

Chu Wanning - Perfected exactly one (1) dish, is rather... unfortunate otherwise. You could not pay this man to top.

Mo Ran - Excellent cook. Actually worked in a kitchen at one point in his life, giving and receiving food is basically his main love-language.

Now that we have examined these canon couples and have drawn all the relevant conclusions, let's apply what we learned to our non-danmei, might-as-well-be-canon-but-isn't ship.

Wu Xie - Can cook just fine both in the novel and the drama-verse even if it doesn't come up too often. In the first season he cooks up a pretty decent feast for his friends and in the Yucun books he helps come up with the dishes they would serve in their restaurant.

Zhang Qiling - The entire Thing of this poor sod as a character is that he knows how to survive but not how to live. Taking the time to prepare nice meals or cook anything beyond basic sustenance just... doesn't fit that picture.

So.

I rest my case.

First, thank you for the ask! And I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying my fics!! 😊 I’m on vacation this week and finally writing again (had a bit of a rough writer’s block patch). So hopefully I’ll be posting more content in the next couple of weeks.

Fic recs - boy do I ever. I will say, I have super varied tastes in fics, I’ll read just about anything Gen that’s Jason-centric, plus a few Jason ships (although I’m pretty picky about what actually makes it into my bookmarks). ストレリチア / Strelitzia

Due to my family background (my grandparents were botanists in southern Africa) I know Strelitzia as the crane flower. It’s an incredibly nostalgic plant to me, as its image used to adorn the back of the aerogramme letters I received from family abroad as a child.

So I suppose I was expecting more of an African sound, all chiming guitars and sweet harmonies? So wow, was the psychedelic sitar sound of Strelitzia a surprise!

It was impossible on first listen to tell if it was a sitar, a guitar, a synth, or what. Thankfully, Imai’s production notes for Sound & Recording Magazine answer that:

今井寿: あの曲では星野がシタール・ギターを 弾いていて、僕のギターはシタールのエフェ クターをかけた音です。ELECTRO-HARMONIX Ravish Sitar というモ���ルですね。 Imai Hisashi: In that song, Hoshino plays a sitar guitar, and my guitar has a sitar effect applied to it. It's the ELECTRO-HARMONIX Ravish Sitar model.

This pedal is, frankly, one of the grooviest things I’ve heard in years. Just listen to the official demo recordings from Electro-Harmonix to get an idea of what it’s capable of.

It’s quite one of my favourite things about Imai, the delight he clearly takes in experimenting with the oddest and strangest of guitar pedals. I love that Imai (despite regularly achieving some of the most beautiful guitar tones known to humankind throughout the band's recording history) has absolutely no respect for the guitar as a guitar player. He treats the thing purely as a note-generator to be processed, run through effects, manipulated, modulated and otherwise completely f*cked up until it’s almost no longer recognisable as a guitar. In my books, this puts him up there with people like Kevin Shields and Robert Fripp, in terms of rearranging my perceptions of what a guitar is even capable of.

Anyway! On to the song itself, pretty much a rough guide to all of the wonderful elements that make up Imai’s sonic landscape. Strelitzia starts starts with classic Imai slithering insect noises - they might be sonic artefacts of the effects pedals, or they might be percussion run through a really extreme phaser effect? Then the song kicks in with our old friend, a pedal point on the bass, with an occasional semitone down to keep it moving. (The song is only 74 bpm, almost shockingly slow for a B-T song, but it never seems to drag.)

I’m working under the assumption that the guitar in the right channel is Hide’s sitar guitar, since it has quite a natural sitar shimmer. The guitar in the left channel has a slightly more synthetic tone, more flanged, so I presume that’s Imai with the Ravish pedal? Then straight down the centre, the main riff is played on a sound that I, as a westerner, would describe as a little banjo-like. But the particular resonances definitely make it sound more Asian, perhaps the lightly bending and warping tone of a Shamisen or even Koto?

At 0:44, when the live drums kick in, the left hand guitar goes a little farty - but it’s all about context. With the fluttering symphony of psychedelic sounds weaving and echoing around it, I don’t mind a little synthetic squelchiness. In fact, it provides a nice build and lift indicating the song is preparing to move to the B-part, as the bass finally shifts off its pedal point and starts climbing what feels like an endlessly ascending Escher staircase, to provide melodic dynamics while the guitars stay on their hypnotic drone.

If Imai really wanted to, he could drag that build out a little longer? He definitely knows how to do dancefloor dynamics, as shown on the song Subrosa and previous bangers like Gustave. Some day I’d love to see him abandon all pretense of the standard Verse-Chorus pop arrangement and just really go all out on an endless dancefloor loop with a build and a drop and no B part. But the vibe shift here from the A part to the B part really reminds me a little of Todd Terje’s Inspector Norse. It’s got a similar sort of long hold on one two-note bass riff, which builds and builds - until at last, when the bass finally moves off that single note at 3:37, it feels like the whole world tilts on its access, like a plane taking off and immediately banking sharply. It’s a gloriously ecstatic moment!

This is basically a rock song done in the form of a dancefloor filler - in the place of a guitar solo, at 1:36, he has put in a classic dance drop. Everything cuts out except for some pretty extreme Einstürzende Neubauten metal-banging!!! YES!!! ROX0R!!!! MORE OF THIS PLEASE!!!

Then it’s back to the lovely phased-out, droney sitar-strumming with beautiful warm vinyl crackle in the background, and it’s technically not a true instrumental because there is a whispered Syd Barrett vocal at 2:11 just as the big echoey synth kicks on, but I’ve no idea what he says. (And please don’t any Japanese-speakers ruin it for me by informing me he just says “now” or “start” or “1-2-3-4!” or whatever!)

The whole sequence repeats again, almost exactly as before, with more vinyl crackle and insect noises accompanying us out. The second time the B part repeats, there’s a lovely wooden percussion (marimba?) sound doubling the guitars in the background, like a stately minuet of odd noises. There’s something so pleasing about the arrangement, like a very formal, exactly lined up arrangement of extremely weird sounds. This is one of those tunes that really gives me hope for the second season of B-T, that there aren’t just new songs sleeping in the brains of Imai and Hoshino, but entirely new genres lurking in their future. Can’t wait to hear more!

Happy Audio Drama Sunday! I was busy doing many things this week, but luckily they were the kind of things that facilitate a lot of audio drama listening. Shall we?

👹 G.O.B.L.I.N.S. is amazing. I love an office sitcom in any case, but an office sitcom with two goblins, an elf prince, and an overly enthusiastic government pencil pusher is an inspired idea. I really want this show to exist more, so if you can, consider helping them on their crowdfund!

💋 Josie’s Lonely Hearts Club this week was HILARIOUS. The presidential puns were so delightful, and I also ended the episode wanting to fight a veterinarian. Can’t wait to see where this season is going.

🌚 @hellofromthehallowoods is always so good at creating these gorgeous soft character moments, and I adore middle-aged Buck. Watching this man gracefully age into a husband and father who likes himself, who knows he is loved, is such a far cry from the poor little guy he used to be. I really don’t want him to get eaten by a vampire. Are you hearing me, Mx Wellman?

📻 Breaker Whiskey ended for now and ohhhhhhh. Oh man. I cried. The experience of listening to this story feels very early audio drama, and that’s definitely by design. Lauren Shippen let the story wander and discover itself, and we got to discover it too. Was it a flawless story? No story is, but getting to revel in the wandering just made it better. Whatever’s next for the story, I have enjoyed the ride.

🥛 The Silt Verses. That’s it. I found this episode entrancing. How’s this going to end?

🥃 Breathing Space this week was hilarious. In a rare voice acting appearance by Pacific Obadiah and some familiar voices from Melissa Lusk and Katrina Pecina as well as the ol' Breathing Space standbys, this heartfelt, witty, and above all very silly episode felt really good. I just loved it.

🐟 In Travelling Light this week, VERMI'S BACK. My favorite guy! And it seems we won't be seeing the last of this guy, either. Thank you Hero for my life. Friendship is gonna solve all the traveller's problems and I couldn't be happier.

🧟‍♀️ In Hannah News, The Dead started a new series called Turas that I really think you should check out. It’s set on a Scottish isle with Scottish Gaelic, and zombies, and sister dynamics, and it’s so good guys. Our main actors, Michelle Kelly and Bonnie Calderwood Aspinwall, are absolutely killing it, alongside an amazing cast. Please tune in, you won't regret it.

No one should be spreading such hate when fandom is a labor of love we all share for free, and no one has the right to criticize YOUR story because it doesn't fulfill *their* expectations. No pressure to reply to this or anything, just sending much love!🫶

Thank you so much for reaching out, I really hadn't expected to receive so many private DMs/messages lately regarding it. I honestly posted it because I didn't want to knowingly enable negative behavior by staying silent. I do prefer a slightly different approach to things of that nature. I recognize people might be lashing out because they hurt or confused. To me it is better to rise above and try and break the cycle if at all possible.

This blog's current focus really is rooted in trying to be a positive spot people feel welcome to engage in discourse. I am an academic at heart and that is something that caries into my spaces on Tumblr. I spend much of my creative time collaborating.

The stories that referenced are part of a larger AU I happen to creatively contribute to with a friend of mine. The changes - understandably pretty weighted, so I recognize that it may have come as a shock to some - we mutually agreed upon. Ironically enough, the split of her main OC and Tech was her own idea and I just assisted with filling in the gaps/creating a new plot structure.

I just hope that this can be a learning experience for everyone in general. We don't need to tolerate hate, but we also do not have to respond with it either. Maker knows there is enough of that at large in the star wars fandom; I've both worked in production for it, as well as wrote a masters thesis on the fandom dynamic of Star Wars, so I am quite versed in it at this point.

I appreciate each and every one of you who have reached out, truly it means the world. I would love to see more and more positivity grow out of here in the next few weeks. I love talking with you all about your stories, your ideas, your passions, your characters, the things that inspire you. I also love getting to know you all. something that has been really getting to me as i’ve fallen back into destiel and all it’s insanity, is how little people understand the pressure of being queer in red states. like, in no other fandom have i seen the amount of normal world/no power au’s that i’ve seen in spn/destiel verse, so you would think that there would be at least a little understanding/research onto how queer people live and stay safe in conservative cities or in the case of the small town au’s, places with less than 15,000 people? instead i see an abundance of fics where dean is closeted and that makes him the central focus of conflict/the “problem” in the relationship, or the fact that he’s closeted means he has to be suffering from internalized homophobia. as someone who has lived in red states while being very queer, for a lot of other folks being in the closet means safety, not repression. sometimes the closet door’s purpose is to keep people out, rather than keeping us in. there is a very prevalent idea in the minds of a lot of LGBTQIA+ people that small town/midwest/southern queer folks are all repressed, or that freedom means leaving our homes to be out and proud, and i’m not saying that that isn’t true for some people. but for others, we feel that our liberation comes from loving and being loved in the places we’re rooted in. when living in a largely christian and/or conservative town, county, or even state, having the ability to feel love and be loved is freedom and protest all in of itself. whether the couple holds hands on main street or only in their shared apartments (*whispers* and they were roommates) doesn’t negate the fact that they are living queerly and are alive and finding joy in a place that would rather see us dead. to wrap this up (and bring it back onto destiel lol), i do think that dean would be a character that does repress his sexuality, but i don’t think that it’s solely because he’s from freaking kansas. i would rather see how his relationships with family, he’s own self-worth issues, and past relationships affect him, instead of a lot of the stereotyping the fandom does of both him and queer culture in conservative environments. (and please can we stop with the urban, worldly castiel coming in to bring enlightenment and social reform to poor, hick dean? it’s giving classism and i hate that this dynamic is so popular😭)

My first impression - Why is there only one female pup and why is she so much smaller than the boys-- Is she a Cocker Spaniel?? Could've been a bit bigger...

My impression now - "Thank you Mighty Movie for giving her some lore and anything at all other than what little the show gives us"

Favorite thing about that character - She's one of the only three characters who are girls in PINK that I think the color actually fits them really well, instead of just color coding girls with pink just because. She DOES look good in it, it fits with her actions and general behavior, just as well as all pink/violet shades she wears with other colors for highlights. It may sound of not much importance, but pink is a strong color, not a "feminine" color. It shouldn't ever be "lowly/lazily coded" for girls just because girls, it can and should be used by anyone, as long as they get it. Don't see pink as "feminine/gay" color, see it as "lighter red, passion, fire, love, care, nurturing, protecting". Someone who takes others under their wings and care for them, protect them, fight for them. Skye is persistent, she cares, she's passionate, she's always giving it her all and some more. She deserves the pink color.

Least favorite thing - Being the only girl in the main team when there's a demand for female rep makes it so she's exhaustively OVERUSED to the extent of shading out other pups who would be more suited for certain kinds of rescues, kicking them out of the scene only for being males and their need for showing more girl power. I've been missing Everest showing up more times, heck she lives just close to them, it's closer than Liberty, at least they wouldn't need to overuse Skye so ridiculously much...

Favorite line/scene - This scene lives rent free in my mind

Favorite interaction that character has with another - That moment in the first movie when she went to pick Chase from the rooftop and bring him back down to ground level. I think she could understand he was panicking and made sure he would hear her voice, state her intention and next moves "I'm coming to get you" so he wouldn't be caught by surprise, she asked what happened, made sure he would know people were safe now and he could let go and go with her, she was a total darling there. 10/10 emotional support pup.

A character that I wish that character would interact with more - Chase and Liberty. First I miss Skye and Chase being absolute dorks together, second I loved Skye's dynamic with Liberty in the Mighty Movie, with the two often talking and throwing shade at others or being generally sarcastic to make each other laugh

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character - Uran, from Tetsuwan Atom, specifically the 2003 anime version - you might know her as Zoran, Astro Boy. But the American dub for that anime literally changed EVERYTHING to the point if you watch the anime dubbed and subbed, you feel it's two entirely different stories. "Zoran" was nothing like "Uran", they managed to change and reshape her personality in such a way they're literally two completely different characters, so I'll be precise and say I'm talking specifically about the Japanese Uran character, not the dubbed Zoran character.

A headcanon about that character - The show gave me nothing to develop ideas about her, sadly. So I don't have any interesting headcanons to go about- just that I believe she loves strawberry bubblegum scented shampoo lol

An unpopular opinion about that character - I prefer her movie verse over the show verse. I can't feel a "personality" in the show... She's cool, but if it wasn't for the movie, I feel like we wouldn't ever have anything to work about her at all?? She's just-- always happy, likes to play Pup Pup Boogie, flies her 'copter, is afraid of eagles. Isn't it weird that I just listed four things about her and still feel like I don't have much to work with her at all??? The only friend I know who has her as his favorite pup told me it's because she's the flight rescue pup - he's hyperfixated on aircrafts. It's not for who she is, only for her being the one to fly 'copters/jets. It could be ANY pup instead of her. That's just freaking SAD. The Mighty Movie wasn't perfect but at least it gave her SOMETHING ELSE if you get what I mean now.

Favorite picture - I didn't get there in the show yet but this is my favorite outfit of hers already, hands down. She looks hella cool.

Hi!! How are you? Main Verse Eddie needs a hug and needs a nap. Like he's not doing well at all. Despite you calling it an angst arc and my brain knowing that the fight club arc went over a few episodes, my brain naively hoped that the fight club arc would end within the chapter. And Buck! He feels alone, which is not helped by the fact that Eddie is closing himself off to everyone. Like they both need hugs, and therapy. So much therapy. I took a look at the masterpost (because apparently my brain likes trying to piece together things too much) and I'm guessing that the angst arc ends around Ch 43, so we've got a while to go! (Also, I was reading the main verse and I really missed Karen and Eddie's friendship in the other fic because Eddie needs friends!)

I loved the most recent AUAU!! Like had one thing changed, our boys would not be in the torture vortex in the main! Like it's so sweet, the way that Eddie and Buck care for Chris. And how everyone is so confused but this also happens to be the one time where their marriage is explained semiwell! I read it several times to help myself get over the angst of the main verse and I am very much looking forward to the Chapter 9 AUAU!

And we are in the build up to the angst arc, but it's not fully here yet, but I am very excited about where we're heading! Though, it will be angsty, so strap in xp, because you're right the fight club arc is not over yet!

Luckily they both have some support back now, so maybe that will change things. At least it gave them their family back. It wouldn't feel right to do what I'm about to do to Buck without giving him that much, I'm nice like that xp. But yeah, Eddie is missing Karen as a friend, Bosko is more his friend in the main verse as of now, so maybe she can help like Karen did in the AUAU

Fix it Fridays

We've gotten a lot of suggestions on how we can improve Hazbin Hotel and give it more depth. So we want to tell you all what ideas we specifically are incorporating into each episode.

Today: The Vees!

Episode 2 is the first episode with the Vees, but we've already introduced Vox and Velvette in chapter 1. Our hope was to create a more defined dynamic between the three. I (the writer for chapters 1 and 2) especially love them, they're the power of friendship turned evil in my mind.

The first thing we did was make a little Venn diagram for them. What did they have in common? What do they share with each other? What's unique to just one of them? We wanted to especially explore the idea of control, so they are written to reflect the three kinds of control we decided were the broadest and most complimentary.

Velvette has been the most fun to work through. She's perceptive, cunning, and superficial. We've decided that she's best at one-on-one manipulation, and likes to use social pressure most. Her form of control is control of media and opinions.

Vox changed the least, he's a pretty strong written character. The face of their company, he's the one in front of the camera the most. My favorite part about writing him is fleshing out how well The Vees know each other. It makes them fun foils to our getting-to-know-you Main Cast. Vox's form of control is of the masses.

Valentino has been the most challenging to work with. We really want to handle Angel's character well, and so we needed him to sound like less of a shitty boyfriend and more of a cold, well-versed, purposefully manipulative Pimp. He's an intoxicating control of one person at a time. Effective and all encompassing.

March 7th you can ship any person under the sun in hsr with her, but my favs are caelus or stelle, dan heng, and robin. stelle gets protag rights, but ofc exploring my fav men through her would be fun. yu takasaki with anyone in the club because also protag/past self insert origins rights, but setsuna, ayumu, and shizuku hold special places. kotohonoumi with kotonozo and kotori/minato (p3) honorable mentions. eiden/blade will always be my fav in nu carnival, but shoutout to edmond and yakumo as well. i do like tsukasa/wxs it's true (yes all of them each dynamic is cute), but i think tsukasa/shizuku or tsukasa/haruka has legs to stand on as well (hard working people with personality differences but very determined when striving towards their goals; shizuku has the added benefit of older sibling talks). though i also ship haruka/minori, and minori/kohane. nice nature/tokai teio is a classic to me.

i love a good domestic fluff, or writing about a couple just being affectionate or just going through slice of life together. also very much into writing out the scenes of my muses in love and flustered but not really knowing what to do in situations when they haven't quite confessed yet. drama is also yummy; love a kind of hurt/comfort working through issues or things that come up type thing too (and the varying degrees of success or failure in that department). since i've started writing more Stuff too, i'd be willing to write out...just a tiny bit of teehee~

how large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

me staring at screwllum, the oldest man alive...he's an exception because he's ancient.

for muses that are teens in canon (and in verses where they're teens, as in versus them in other verses as adults and stuff) it has to be pretty close in ages. but once we're past like 22 i'd say the world is our oyster.

are you selective when shipping?

not really, though on here i guess i don't seek it out as often because i'm not on here as often anymore! i'm a big fan of chemistry and usually only rping with friends anyways though, so we have to be cool with each other and think our lil dolls mesh well together before we can go and pursue more in a shipping on here sense.

how far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

i haven't written any of the teehee on here yet, but i'd say when it get's steamy is like...more than kissing. when you're describing grinding and kisses going places that are obviously to get a rise out of the other muse, or when clothes are being touched or played with or tightening in ways...then the nsfw tag and the read more are implemented. if it's just kisses though, they get steamy but not too much so.

does one have to ask to ship with you?

yes absolutely!! i love communication, and if you think our muses mesh well together like that, please reach out about that and don't just assume~ though also i only really rp with friends so i only talk about it really with friends i've talked about it with numerous times before (waves at wars and serin and j even though you're not really here anymore). but still reach out if we ever rp for a bit and you have ideas~
