Helluva Boss - Season 1 // Episode 8 (REVIEW)

This is more of a rant than an review lmao

K soooo episode 8 finally came out and oh boy do I have something to say..

So everyone knows that a year ago (I think?) Viv said on her twitter that episode 8 was delayed due to copyright issues. I was like okay, that’s fine, I understand that she might’ve had a song that was copyrighted or some shit. so they moved on with season 2.

2 days ago she made a post saying that episode 8 will finally be up on YouTube. Tbh I was excited bc we get to see what the fuck is going on with that trashy Ozzie’s episode. Oh did I mention that Viv said that this wasn’t a continuation of Ozzie’s but then she proceeded to say it was??? Like make up ur mind it’s not that hard woman 😭.

Let me start off with me saying that where is the warning intro? See you can definitely tell that this episode is rushed. Also the animation is very off, Loona and the rest of the characters looked very stiff like the animation was off putting??

Loona enters the party and we see Vortex again, alright that’s fine sure whatever Idc. And we see a bunch of hellhounds (which don’t even look like hellhounds they look like fucking piss stain red eyed furry hair that like partying) like, I’m sorry? Isn’t this supposed to be hell? Like why in the actual satans asshole are they having fun, they’re listening to techno/rave/pop DJ Gen z music (I don’t even know what this music is called so pls tell me what it’s called so I don’t have to embarrass myself) .

So then we get to the point of this episode, where we see Queen Bee (Aka Beelzebub), I’m sorry, who is this bitch? She doesn’t even look like Beelzebub??? It’s like I’m watching a furry dancing and head bobbing to animation meme music, while horrible furrybait hellhounds get high or some shit, how is this an adult series, how could you count this as something an ADULT lemme remind you again an ADULT a fucking 18+ individual that could drink, watch pron, do adult things could watch??? And I know, all adults are different, they like different comedy, and different plots. But you must be a man child to like this.

Anyways back to Bee, her design is not good, it’s not mature, it’s just an eye bleeding furry that could probably give someone epilepsy seeing this thing, and I mostly feel bad for the animators having to animate her, I can’t even animate my simple pink unicorn oc because of the design, and the design isn’t even that complex??.

Now let’s get on to her character, she’s actually not that bad, like she’s not horrible (that’s because she’s not an asshole like the other female characters, Loona, Stella, Verosika, to name a few) she’s sassy, fun, extroverted, loud, and I actually like how she’s not a bad character. Thank you Viv for making an actual enjoyable character.

I just realized she’s also voiced by Kesha, which I bad for Kesha for voicing a character from such a dogshit show, but Kesha is literally my childhood, she’s my idol, I love Kesha, I even said that I wanted to meet her one day. I love Kesha very much because I’m such a sucker for early 2000s scenecore, Kesha was my music taste and still IS my music taste. So props I guess for Viv for getting her to voice act an character that’s insane.

Ok so let’s talk about the song, I give it a solid 6/10, the song is good only because I kept singing it and it was stuck in my head, but the fucking. repeated. verses is getting me a overstimulation at this point.

So after the song, Bee introduction, Yada yada, we get Loona saying that this party is getting her anxious because of Bee prolly. She calls Blitzo up, Blitzo comes and get her, she gets in the car with him, until they see a hellhound that proceeds to call Loona “hot”, then she changes her mind like a fucking moron and say “yOu knO daddy, I thwnk we shOuld tay a Wittle longa, pweeassee owo” like she’s a 2 year old baby convincing her dad that she has to stay, she needs to stay. Oh can I also say that this furrybait is also a whore? Ok like hear me out, she said she had syphillis in the pilot, then she had a whole ass high school crush on Vortex with the most embarrassing conversation, then she proceeds to be tail wagging turned on because of this hellhound that called her hot. Seriously, how could you like this character? she’s not enjoyable.

Alright we’re now moving on with her and Blitzo, and Blitzo’s getting drunk because of his relationship issues, but then Loona is chilling yknow having a good time, then she gets confronted with Bee and Vortex saying that you need to go check on your dad. Hold on second lemme just stop right here partner, hold to flipping flop, isn’t Bee the queen of gluttony? Isn’t she like to embodiment of drinking and having fun, how nice are you? Why are you acting like this? You are a ruler of HELL, you’re supposed to be bad, you’re supposed to be supporting that big headed alien demon.

So now Imma get to the end, they enter their home, Blitzo goes to sleep, and here’s something so funny he says, “Fuck, Fizz was right. I’m gonna die alone” This is the worst sad thing Blitzo has ever said so far, I’m not sorry BlitzO but I don’t give a shit about your problems, till the very end of this day you’re still going to be the last person I’m going to feel bad for, Bojack Horseman is better than you for fucks sake. You’re NOTHING to me, and I hope you die alone pissstain you deserve it.

the last thing I have to say is some a couple points I missed.

•Why is Vortex, a hellhound that is lower than Imps. Dating a lord? Wtf is going on? Why is it not okay for Stolas to like Blitzo

•The whole thing with Bee should’ve been overweight is stupid and not necessary

•I love how everyone is defending Blitzo and I even saw a video on YT (Im not going to send the video to anyone because I don’t want that person to receive hate of course) putting a Bojack Horseman quote in the video like you’re NOTHING like Bojack, stop comparing Blitzo to Bojack, Blitzo is literally an uwu feel bad for character

I did, I did call that number. I cried so hard and -aside from the time my dog died- it was genuinely the first time I’ve cried in such a long time.

I’ve been in such a dark place for god knows how long. It’s been so damn stressful and insane. The only thing preventing me from killing myself is friends, my art, fashion, and the events I get to attend with people. I love hanging out with friends, it distracts me from all my worries and all the bad that I know about.

I didn’t start feeling this way until I had to start adulthood with no preparation whatsoever and worry about paying bills and break my back to put a payment on my car that shouldn’t even be that ridiculously high (seriously, fuck capitalism).

And my parents tell me that I need to get over it bc I’m an adult and that stress is a part of life and that I’m not mentally ill, I’m a spoiled brat. Like WTF?! Yeah ik life is stressful, but I’m not allowed to be stressed??

I’m sure they were just as stressful as I am when they started adulthood. Especially since my mom was a fucking teenager when she had me and had to work jobs while my father was attending night school at the time since he had to drop out to support his family.

Ig they just don’t remember? Or maybe because they’re both in the upper middle class quadrant that they feel like they’re so much better than people who are struggling- Yes, I still live with them but I can’t consider myself as part of their family with how fucking irritatingly unhelpful they are.

I wanna go back to who I was as a teenager. Not caring, loving everyone… not being the bitter, angry, vindictive bitch that I am now. Before I used to be so happy when others were happy, but now whenever I get a manic episode and I see, like, idk a rich person or rich and upper middle class kids who didn’t have to grow up in poverty like I did, I feel bitter. Like, physically. I can feel it building up inside me and spewing into my mouth.

And once I get out of my episode, I feel so fucking stupid. It’s so childish and terrible, the last time I felt this way was when I was like, what? 12-13?? I’m like, “cmon, Miliani. Really?”.

I tell myself I should be happy, I have many friends and everyone is always telling me I’m so pretty, and artistic, and so many boys and even girls have crushes on me and try to get me stuff for free sometimes.

And I’m upset because, what? I don’t have money?? One minor thing that won’t make more of a person if I did??

… I don’t want to be rich. I just want to be financially comfortable. That is fucking all. And if I can’t be financially stable, I’d at least want people to care. I want people to understand.

I also just wanna have a connection with my mommy again instead of her being angry at me. I want to just be happy with what I have.

It sucks bc I can feel happy sometimes, but the bad thoughts always come back. It’s like my brain doesn’t want me to be happy. I talked to the suicide hotline and they recommended that I’d see my school counselor to get free accommodations for getting a proper mental diagnosis…

Overall, I don’t hate myself or my life. It’s just mental illness and the stress of this new stage in life is taking an absolute fucking toll on me.

I’m just glad that I finally know the root cause of my problems now instead of attacking myself and others in blind rage.

I’ll help myself, like I did with you. I feel good that I was able to help you through all the sad and stressful things in your life.

As of now, the thoughts are gone. They’ve come and gone all day, everyday. I know the thoughts will come back but til then. I want to strive to be the best version of myself. I want to learn to love and again. I want to be that caring, selfless, sweet girl again. And I know I can do it, with the help of friends and therapy.

When I learn to love myself, I can learn to love others again.

my October watched! (i know it is mid November, college is rough, i did write the post in October as i completed the shows + movie though!)

Orange — it was rough but i was really glad kakeru lived in the end, in their parallel world. i was worried for a bit there when everyone was saying ‘you can’t change the past’ and kakeru was missing. but suwa suwa suwa… his character hurts so bad. The fact that his 26 year old self told his 16 year old self to basically sacrifice his own feelings in order for kakeru to live just hurt. especially when in car when they were all 26 and talking and Suwa basically says that he stole Naho from Kakeru, which he didn’t. and then everyone says if they could go back in time they wouldn’t root for suwa. They’d only root for kakeru. Everyone too was basically talking about Naho’s feelings in regards to kakeru like right in front of suwa too which felt rude asf at points. Idk, suwa’s character in particular, he just let himself get emotionally trampled and it was rough. i think naho’s character was really frustrating at times. she is just not very aware, and so it lead to misunderstandings. there was a time where Kakeru kept trying to hold her hand, and she was just confused. so overall very frustrating at times, but there was definitely a lot of cute moments. i did end up crying for like the last 15 minutes of the last episode. and not like sobbing or anything, but it was rough, i was very stressed watching it. tbf it was also like 3am at this point though. and while i was a suwa fan i definitely support kakeru and Naho in the end.

Ranking of Kings — I had taken a break from this one at some point, not because I didn’t enjoy it, I just get distracted and start watching something else lol. it happens more often than I’d like to admit, but I finished it and I’m really glad I did! this show made me feel so many emotions. I cried or felt like crying a multiple times throughout the show. Bojji is the best boy. He is so so kind and he deserves the world. Love that he and Kage were best buds. They’re so good man. Bojji’s fighting style is so cool, I’m glad it was centered around his strengths and while it may have been kind of op at times he absolutely deserves it. I really like the art in this one, especially just scenic shots. and i think the art suits the show really well. It was definitely darker than I had anticipated! I was kind of shocked at some of the scenes. but i think the violence that did happen made sense in the story. i really disliked the elixir daida had to drink, there’s a bit where they grind something up for it and i remember feeling so disgusted. also!! daida and Miranjo is so so weird!! If I was Hiling man, I would’ve said absolutely not. Daida may end up as king in the end but idc idc, i would not have let him make that choice. I’m really excited for Bojji’s future endeavors though!

Moriarty the Patriot — this is another one i has taken a break from and returned to. I really enjoyed it! I thought watching the crimes being set up was cool. This is one I’ll definitely go read the manga for. So many emotions in regards to this. Sherlock and William man… just bro… I don’t even know what to say. Crunchyroll put them in the enemies to lovers category so i think that explains my feelings well enough. i had to go tell my friend about them too. just Sherlock jumping after William, and the whole letter!! Letters in anime go crazy, man. They’re always so good.

Akira — I went into this blind, all I knew was cool motorcycle man, does a cool slide on his motorcycle that’s referenced in so so many things. (there’s compilation clips on YouTube, and it’s so cool to see how many different things have referenced it.) the violence? The weird blue children? Tetsuo’s massive fucking forehead? like insane. it was good though! tetsuo does kind of like immediately become a villain but tbf he is 15 and just became like almost the most powerful thing on earth so what can you do yknow? i did not like the sexual assault scene with kaori that did catch me off guard, and while i understand why it happened, I don’t think it was really necessary. i was not anticipating what Akira would turn out to be, and i certainly wasn’t expecting the gross flesh thing Tetsuo turns into, I’m so glad my desk faces the wall and not my roommate because I know I was watching my computer like (o_o). i did mention earlier about the violence, like i said i went into it blind so i was a bit surprised by the violence at first but i definitely got used to it, some of the deaths or at least injuries that happened were so brutal. it was crazy. i think if you’re bothered by violence than i wouldn’t recommend this lol. i thought the silhouettes of the characters were interesting! definitely indicative of the era with the skinny pants and big tops. kaneda’s whole red look, alongside the matching bike goes hard though. even when kaneda wasn’t in all red, and just had the yellow top on bro was killing it. i thought his little outfit with the pink polo and khaki pants was funny, like my brother would wear that. i thought the soundtrack and colors for the movie were really cool. i think overall it was just a wild ride, and it was certainly a lot (not that that’s a bad thing, as i did enjoy the movie)

am i a good writer? no sort of! no self depreciation here! anyways, here are random headcanons about bruce wayne because i watched the movie again and since this is a brain dump i’m sure there’s typos but idc also this is pretty much sfw so! k enough rambling

i feel like he likes gifts and little trinkets; he’s not hard to shop for despite being a billionaire that pretty much already has everything. he'll take anything as long as it's from you :) like i can imagine you getting him some cheesy little keychain from a random airport souvenir shop and he’d put the keys to the batmobile on it and never take it off :,)

he LOVES to hear you rant about things you're passionate about. preferably, he'll be lying on the couch and you'll be lying in his arms. he'd play with your hair while you go on and on about the latest episode of *insert your favorite show here* and smile softly to himself about how cute your being :))

he would be a horrible texter at first, let's be honest 😭 but as he gets more comfortable it actually becomes his favorite way to communicate with you (besides talking to you obvi). he loves that he can plan what to say without the danger of awkward pauses that calls or facetime can bring. he never uses emojis (unsurprisingly) but he does like to send these :) smileys because you always seem to like those (and he learned it from you heehee)

he's SO SO attentive and it’s the cutest. he picks up on your every move, every gesture, and every facial expression. he almost always seems to know what you want before you even ask for it

he literally has the most expressive eyes ever it actually drives me insane but- i just feel like it would be so easy to not pay attention to what he’s saying and only be staring into them 💀 like i *know* he wouldn’t be the best at eye contact at first, but your eyes are just so pretty that it makes him want to try a little harder to be better at it :,) 

 i feel like his most sensitive spots would be the grooves of his neck (like on either side of his adam’s apple), his hands & fingers, and his ears

speaking of ears, this man loves when you play with his ears. don’t ask me why, i just feel like he just would. like imagine this. he’s in the kitchen, facing you and talking about something. you run your hands through his hair, you rest your hands on his ears, and your thumbs start caressing over them. combine this with you looking up at him and nodding your head at whatever he’s saying?? u would have this man thinking very impure thoughts hshsksjd

i don’t know why (just kidding i know exactly why it’s when he tilts Selina’s chin up in the movie) but i feel like this man definitely loves to hold up your chin so you can look at him. or honestly just touch any part of your face. he’s forever brushing off invisible pieces of lint on you just so he can touch you. smoothing over your eyebrows with his thumbs, putting his hands on both your cheeks, randomly running his index finger on your nose bridge because he loves your nose, literally everything. he loves it

he’s literally mesmerized by everything you do. he loves watching you do anything: cooking, reading, sleeping, etc. he just feels so lucky to have you :,)

but he’s also terrified of losing you, and for this reason it would probably take him forever to actually open up to you. you’ll probably be the first one to say “i love you”, and you have to be okay with the fact that he very well might not say it back right away :( but it’s only because he loves you so much that he doesn’t even know how to quantify or express it, and that alone would probably terrify him because he never wants to experience the same pain that he felt when he lost his his parents (whom he obviously loved very very much) 

i feel like the first time he would say “i love you” wouldn’t be in like, a rom-com type of way where he kind of just blurts it out over the phone or something, but it would definitely be at some random time when the two of you were alone. he probably would have been thinking about it for the entire day before he had the courage to say it.

like just imagine. you’d both be hanging out together in bed, and you would be reading or doing something random and he would just look over at you, stare for a second, and quietly go “i love you.” knowing me, i would literally start smiling so hard, grab his face, and start violently attacking his face with kisses and saying “i love you too” a thousand times (💀) and he would start blushing so hard :,,))

does bruce wayne dance? absolutely not... unless it’s with you :) i would like to think that he would have a sunday tradition with you where after breakfast, you would put a vinyl on the record player and he would push the table out of the way. could you really call what the two of you were doing dancing? probably not 💀 it’s more of you two swaying but do you really care? no. because right now, your feet are balancing on top of his, he’s holding you and rocking you back and forth like he’s never gonna let go, and he smells like the lavender detergent lingering on his clothes and the french cologne that alfred always buys for him :,))

Can we just,.,.accept that both Crosshair and Hunter had their reasons for doing what they did?? And honestly neither of them really did anything wrong??

Hunter left Crosshair because he tried to kill them. He didn’t understand anything about the chip, he really thought Crosshair had just lost his mind. And as soon as he learned about it and how to fix it, we immediately jumped to episode 8 where Crosshair tried to incinerate them with a jet engine. He tried to communicate that the chip was affecting him, and Crosshair didn’t care. Hunter couldn’t even get himself or Omega out of that situation unharmed. He had no way to snag Crosshair from his squadron of stormtroopers out for murder. After Bracca, Hunter was focused on getting Omega back because she’s just a kid; she isn’t with the empire, she hasn’t been chasing them down and almost killing them. From Hunter’s POV, the possibility of getting Crosshair to come with them willingly or even at all is looking bleak and even though he knows it’s not Crosshair’s fault, he’s been so overwhelmed with trying to keep the people relying on him safe and right now he doesn’t think Crosshair is relying on him. And honestly, how were they even supposed to know where Crosshair was half the time? He wasn’t on Kamino 24/7 and the Batch isn’t exactly swimming in imperial informants. But that aside, of course he was thinking about Crosshair; Hunter is loyal to a fault and you can just see the emotional pain that flashes across his face whenever Crosshair is mentioned because that’s his little brother and he couldn’t save him and he feels like he failed. Hunter never was and I don’t think ever can be indifferent when it comes to the people he loves. Whether you like it or not, Hunter was trying his best to keep everyone safe and stop running suicide missions because the galaxy was changing and he was trying to change too. He did nothing wrong.

Now Crosshair.

To all of you calling him a Nazi and saying that the animators and writers intentionally lightened his skin just to make a racist show of dominance, stop it. He was referring to their genetic enhancements being superior. That’s it. He’s always hated regs because let’s be fair the regs were never exactly good to him either (AFTERMATH). Now let’s just take a look at how the chip works shall we!! We know from Rex and Wrecker that clones know what they’re doing while under control of the chip and they’re powerless to stop themselves. So we know in Aftermath that the chip was strengthened to an insane degree, and Crosshair could still see himself taking head shots on his brothers and trying to murder them and he couldn’t stop no matter how badly he wanted to. He was powerless. And then the Batch left; at this point he probably understands that his brothers had to go. They’d regroup. They’d know this wasn’t his fault and they’d come back.

Months pass. Crosshair doesn’t know about the solemn looks the Batch exchange when he’s mentioned. Crosshair doesn’t know that they can barely get food for themselves. Crosshair doesn’t know that Wrecker has flat out said he misses him. Crosshair doesn’t know how Tech said “it doesn’t appear he’ll be needing it” with a twinge of sadness in his voice while giving Omega his comm. Crosshair doesn’t know how much Hunter hates himself for leaving and that Hunter was always planning on going back to him someday because someday he’d have the perfect plan and he could save everyone this time. How could Crosshair know?

More time passes. Crosshair probably still has his chip on but he’s still in there, watching himself become more and more important to the Empire. No rescue attempts. Not one. How awful does he have to feel?? They went to get Echo out of Skako with no backup and they didn’t even know Echo and they can’t go back for him? And here’s the Empire, giving him power and some semblance of control. Things are changing fast and now he has nobody but himself to adjust with, and besides, he’s always had an egotistical side so maybe being a commander and putting the regs in their place isn’t so bad to him after all. He’s alone. He adapts or he dies, that’s the job and that’s all he has now.

Onto Bracca!! If Crosshair is telling the truth about getting his chip out, I firmly believe it had to have been after the events of Reunion. It wouldn’t make sense otherwise; “if I wanted you dead, you would be” sweetheart giving the order to have them incinerated and starting to walk away really seems like you wanted them dead and then going from ordering Omega to be executed to telling Hunter that if he cares about her he should let her go and be safe away from them??? You can’t tell me that Bracca!Crosshair wouldn’t have dragged Omega back into the training room and killed her right there just to keep them from choosing her over him. So let’s just assume for now that Crosshair wasn’t lied to and his chip is out (I’m still holding onto a scrap of hope to the contrary because A. there’s no scar B. HE’S STILL HOLDING HIS HEAD and C. my boy isn’t making any SENSE he just killed off a bunch of Imperial stormtroopers to convince the Batch to join his Empire that he cares so much about??) it had to have happened after Bracca I said what I said idc. If the chip is out, I’m sure his head is still an absolute foggy mess because lord only knows what cranking those chips up to full strength several times will do to you, but suddenly he’s realizing that he’s still angry with them. He’s still hurt. He’s still very much alone. Maybe they never cared about him at all.

And don’t get me started on any “if he did any of this willingly he is irredeemable” garbage. How many times did Kallus almost kill the Ghost crew?? I’m sorry, was it not Kallus who ordered the Lasat genocide?? Don’t take this the wrong way, I adore Kallus and his redemption arc was one of the most beautiful things about Rebels but the point is if he can do all of those horrible things for the Empire for years and is still allowed a redemption stemming from realizing everything he thought he was fighting for was a fiction, THEN SO IS CROSSHAIR. With that side note out of the way let’s think about how alone and betrayed Crosshair feels by the Batch and let’s realize that after they left Ryloth, after they left him again, what does he want?? He wants them. He doesn’t want to kill them, he doesn’t want them imprisoned and he doesn’t want to make them pay. He wants to fight side by side with them again, he wants his brothers back. And even though he’s so beyond hope that they still care about him, heck he literally said “don’t make the same mistake twice; don’t make me your enemy” he thinks they were enemies and he still cares about them so freaking much that he went through an entire elaborate scheme to get the whole Batch on Kamino and set up the stormtroopers’ deaths to prove his loyalty that they could have if they just gave him some of their loyalty too. “Loyalty means everything to the clones” is starting to get a really bitter taste innit??

The point of this longwinded rant my friends is to beg y’all to stop being so black and white about these two. They’re both human, they both have made mistakes and have regrets, they’re both trying their best to survive in a galaxy flipped upside down. Things played out how they had to and they’re both victims of the real villain of Star Wars, who has always been Palpatine. The fact that there is so much to unpack with these two characters shows how flipping amazing the writers are!! They’re so layered and complex it’s literally like they’re real!! So please. Stop hating on them so freaking loudly. They’re my boys and they both deserve a warm hug and a nap after the season they’ve had

A Very Long, Probably Boring Rant About Episode 12

I need to rant about the last episode or my brain will catch on fire.

First of all, I am a fucking clown. I was holding out hope for Renga to be canon. Like, explicitly. But mostly I blame myself for that one because I am an optimistic idiot, and besides Langa pretty much said Reki was his happiness which... well it doesn’t get much gayer than that. My dude is and has been in love. And Reki dreamed about marrying Langa. So these two dumbass twinks just need to confess at this point. 

Second of all, I’m kinda glad Adam realized that his way of thinking sucked. I still think he should have gone to jail and all, but if you think about it, realizing he was wrong is better than just continuing to believe in all the bad shit he did before. Still, he’s an abusive bastard pedophile. (And, um, Tadashi? My dude?? Your kinks are showing. And they concern me.)

And can we talk about Kiriko??????! Like, girl came in here and was being all badass and awesome and like she was gonna take Adam down and then? Nothing? She was just transferred and left and uhhhh they wasted that entire plotline. Like it feels like she was there just for extra drama and a token female character. As for our other four members of the sk8 family, Joe and Cherry are fucking, change my mind (you can’t), Miya... either got fun of or made a friend but he was smiling so I’m gonna say he made a friend. Also it just helps my sanity. And then Shadow omfg.... I’m fucking crying. Poor dude. We were robbed, I was so rooting for him (although, Shadow totally gave the flowers to Oka so like?? Are my crazy punk boy and helpful dilf gonna... catch some feelings???? Honestly the gays win everything in this show).

Now, as for the whole race (This rant is completely not chronological but fuck it idc). Tbh, I didn’t care about the race between Adam and Langa. Like sure, I get that it’s important to the plot or something, but did it really need to take up over half the episode? No. Do I wish Langa wasn’t for some reason a superhuman and lost to Joe like three episodes ago and that Tadashi raced and won against Adam instead? Yes. But it is what it is. I suppose. So I’ll talk about it.

Adam really went all out with the death get up. Idk why he seemed to want to murder a minor, but idk why Adam does a lot of things so I guess I won’t question it. 

Something I’m convinced of is that Adam and Langa were tripping on acid that whole race. Like, the whole “zone” thing just seemed like a drug trip. And Langa saw his dead dad??? Which, don’t get me wrong, was sweet and precious and all, but goddamn Langa what are you on?

When Langa helped Adam up part of me was like nooooo don’t touch the pedo, don’t help the pedo, but tbh Langa is so pure and sweet it was totally in character and I love him so much.

And then at end when Langa literally jumped into Reki’s arms omg they are the actual cutest idc they’re canon, I’ve decided they’re canon. It’s just true.

One thing I do wish is that the episode focused less on the race and focused more and tying up loose ends. There was the song at the end with the whole montage (which, why did Adam have to show up? Bitch crashed that party and not in a good way) and it was cute (especially with Reki teaching his sister’s skateboarding omfg. precious. Koyomi u go queen). But Reki never apologized to Miya, which I’m mad about. Plus, I was kinda also holding out hope that ‘S’ would go away since it’s so fucking toxic and insane but ig not. 

What I really think is that the show could have used one more episode. (Or a second season?? fingers crossed. Kiriko better come back and Renga better be canon, those are my conditions). One problem I do have with this show is that, while there was a fair amount of character development, in the end everything pretty much looks like how it did at the beginning. Adam is still running ‘S’ and Tadashi is still getting abused by him, Cherry and Joe are still “frenemies”, Miya has no friends except Reki and Langa, Renga are just best friends, Kiriko is gone, Adam is still running his company.....,,, like, in the end, what really changed besides some of the characters attitudes toward life?

Anyway, I think that’s pretty much everything. All in all, this was a solid show that I really enjoyed, though there were some very interesting, dare I say questionable, decisions made by the writers. Still, love this show. The ending gives great fanwork potential, and that is enough to ask of it I suppose.

(Second season, though? Studio bones, please. I would be forever in your debt.)

Then they got this letter and woman showing up explaining "Look, your kid's a wizard."

So they were like "Ohhhh see that explains things!"

Sure, Mcgonagall helped your family when they had questions but Mcgonagall wasn't there now

But this one kid saw you wandering aimlessly.

"Hi." He said with a grumble after Narcissa recognized that lost look.

You turned around and Draco's heart was like "Oh... Oh no. Oh I'm feeling things for this person."

"Are you... Uhm... Here for... The platform?" You asked.

"Yes. Actually my mother sent me over here because you looked confused" he said.

"Oh! Oh thank God." You said with relief.

So he told you to run through it.

You thought he was joking until he ran through it.

So you followed.

Steam hit your face immediately and you were coughing.

"Wow that's brisk." You coughed.

Draco held back a snort.

You sat with him on the train and he finally introduced yourself.

"I'm Y/n by the way."

"Draco Malfoy." He said with a nod.

"That's... Kind of a cool name." You said.

Something in his gut told him "oh she's definitely not a Slytherin."

"What house are you hoping for?" He asked curiously.

"What?" You asked.

"Hogwarts house? The ones for the school?" He said.

"...There are houses for this?" You asked.

So he explained all of this to you.

He seemed to take great pride in Slytherin

You were just curious.

You stuck with Draco for the most part and some other kids who knew who he was.

"So. How do you not know anything about the wizarding world?" Draco finally asked.

"Neither of my parents are wizards"

Crabbe and Goyle nearly choked on air and Draco seemed to be having some sort of episode.

"What?" You asked.

"You're a mudblood?" He asked.

"It's not like I can control my genetics. And I know enough about the wizarding world to know that is offensive so could you not call me that!?" You said defensively.

That's when it clicked.

"She's a hufflepuff." He thought.

He didn't realize how right he was until you were sorted.

There was this one kid, she was spunky as fuck.

It was her last year there but she seemed to be excited to have someone new in the house.

Her name was Nymphadora but she loved "Tonks"

She was basically your big sister from this point on.

She showed you around with Cedric, she introduced you to new people, she even told you some secrets about the school.

That's when you noticed another group.

This one kid with glasses that NO ONE would shut the fuck up about.

You didn't officially talk to him until you ran into him

Literally. You ran into him after class one day.

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going!" You said.

"It's okay, I wasn't paying attention either." He said reassuringly.

You introduced yourself and Ron introduced himself too.

Two new friends gained.

Course this pissed Draco off.

Because of course you thought Harry was cool.

Truth be told you had no fucking idea why he was famous.

But Draco decided to confront you while you studied.

"Hi draco." You said looking up.

"I see you're spending time with Potter." He said, his voice clearly annoyed.

"Yeah. So?" You asked.

"So? What are you trying to gain?" He asked.

"...Does unconditional friendship and support count?" You asked confused.

"I'm serious. Is it the fame?" He asked.

"... Harry's famous?" You asked.

"... You've got to be kidding me!"

So Draco told you what he knew.

But now you just felt bad.

"Wait so how am I a bad guy here?" You asked.

"I've befriended a kid who's family is dead and his aunt and uncle are abusive. And I'm a bad guy because I just want him to feel safe?" You asked.

You did know about his Aunt and Uncle from Harry. You never even met these people and you hated them.

But shit. When you put it like that now Draco felt like an asshole.

You sighed and got up.

"Y/n." He called.

You turned around confused.

So you did.

Course Ron wasn't too thrilled about Draco hanging out with you guys.

But then the boys discovered that they had a lot in common and it was game over

Tonks really enjoyed seeing you get excited over it all.

You were like a friendship matchmaker though, especially after you met Hermione.

You both ended up studying together after all of the tables in the library had been occupied.

You thought "See she gets it!"

You both tended to study because it beat doing muggle homework.

Halloween rolled around and Ron said something mean about Hermione.

"Ron! Shut up!" You said after Hermione ran past you in tears.

You ran after her and calmed her down before uhm

Troll in the dungeon?

Draco's common room was in the dungeon so naturally Slytherin had to be moved.

He was walking with the boys when they all realized : "OH SHIT Y/N'S NOT WITH US"

so they all went looking for you when they found the troll.

You had your back against the wall and was of course panicked because you were face to face with a troll and you were eleven.

"Hermione." You whimpered.

"We're doomed." She said.

Draco ran in with the boys and saw the predicament

Well shit.

Thanks to Ron's spell the troll was handled

Course you all got in trouble because you were supposed to be in your common rooms.

Draco was just glad you were safe.

You and the boys celebrated Christmas together, your mom mailing you a polaroid camera to you.

The boys (except Harry) were mesmerized and took a ton of pictures together.

You had a ton of Tonks and Cedric

Then there was this whole thing with the Philosopher's stone and you and Draco were basically having to lie left and right.

"Mcgonagall wants to know if you know who froze Neville?"

"Waaahhhttt someone froze Neville that's wild guys. Really wild."

So other fun fact: Draco's a terrible liar.

When they all came back though oh boy.

The school year was coming to a close and you all agreed to write to each other.

Draco had this one really weird rule though.

If you were to spot him with his parents pretend like you don't know him.

According to Draco, his father wasn't a big fan of him hanging out with people outside of Slytherin.

So when summer started Tonks actually spent a lot of it with you, showing you and your parents the wizarding world.

You loved hanging out with her and she honestly did love you like a little sister.

When school started again though, you promised her you'd write to her about it all.

She was the one who dropped you off at King's Cross that year btw

The next year started and you all sat with each other on the train.

"I just don't see why you need a house elf! It seems barbaric!" Hermione said.

Draco immediately noticed you and smile, moving so you could sit next to him.

You did.

"What's a house elf?" You asked.

"A magical creature who assists wizards." Draco said.

"Unwillingly. They treat them like animals." Hermione griped.

"why are we talking about this?" You asked.

"Because our house elf apparently decided to pay Harry a visit." Draco said with a sigh.

"He said something big was happening this year." Harry admitted.

"If it's bigger than a troll, we might be screwed."

News flash: It was.

Things took a bad turn when Draco knew exactly what the chamber of secrets meant.

Oh God he was SO anxious that entire year.

It didn't help when you ended up petrified

Hermione was almost petrified but you managed to scream "RUN" before you were

He was not a fan of Gilderoy.

He actually called him a "pompous ass" when he acted like baby in the chamber of secrets

When you woke up you found out all about the insane adventure and was like "Dude. Next one, count me in"

The next summer rolled around and you again, spent it with Tonks.

Except this time you and Tonks went to the borrow.

Fred and George fucking LOVED Tonks.

You had these strange interactions with Ron's rat though.

It's like it could understand you.

You would sit at the breakfast table and read the paper right before the wonderful owl that delivered mail would come literally crashing through.

Poor uncoordinated bastard.

Draco was the first to alert the group "uh hey guys. There's kind of a convict on the loose."

None have you had seen Draco over the summer. his parents were great. Just fucking super.

So when you did see him again your heart nearly beat out of your chest.

He dropped the whole "hair slacked back" thing and went natural and it just made you very attracted to him.

Draco noticed a few new things about you

You were taller, and really fucking pretty.

The train ride was not a fun one, you being there crammed on the damn thing with some sleeping dude.

So instead of Harry being attacked by a dementor it was you.

You had a panic attack afterwards, freaking out as the now very much awake Remus talked you through it.

He gave you chocolate and automatically you were like "...this dude is gonna be awesome."

And boy were you right, because he was your favorite professor that year.

Harry seemed to be really paranoid about the dementors though.

A lot more than you were.

He didn't know why yet, but he knew that Sirius had to have some involvement with him.

So Buckbeak. You fucking loved this creature.

Draco however was an idiot.

He stumbled after Goyle pushed him forward into Buckbeak's personal space

Buckbeak almost attacked but you intervened and calmed him down immediately.

"Buckbeak! Eyes on me!" You called.

Buckbeak looked at you but still made attempts to stare at Draco.

"No. Eyes here! Now." You called.

"I'm a friend. See?" You said bowing.

Buckbeak bowed to you and Draco's heart did a whole ass backflip.

You all did notice hermione popping up when she most definitely wasn't there before though

"How does this even work--" "You carry the five" "CHRIST WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU COME FROM!?"

Draco and you did spend a lot of time together.

Course he wasn't the biggest fan of Cedric being around when he was in the Hufflepuff common room.

But you honestly saw Cedric as your brother. And he saw you as a little sister. So. Ew.

Draco didn't know this though.

Then came the lesson on Boggarts and oh boy.

Your boggart was very strange but clearly affected you.

The boggart was you.

You quite honestly were afraid of what you were capable of.

When you were a child you would make things shatter around you, sometimes injuring your parents.

Sure the injuries were minor, but it didn't stop you from feeling guilty after you found out you were the cause.

You were terrified that if one day you snapped now that you were officially trained and more powerful, it'd be a whole lot more destructive.

So yes, you were terrified of yourself.

Remus handled it and Draco pulled you back asking if you were okay.

You kept to yourself for a while. The boggart brought up those anxieties all over again and you were paranoid you'd make something go wrong.

Draco was not having that though and confronted you about it.

You talked it through with him and he assured you that if something ever went wrong he'd make sure that it'd be okay

So from that point on you two were inseparable.

Hogsmeade was honestly the best

Snowball fights and piggyback rides

You laughing as Harry managed to sneak in on the trip, scaring the fuck out of Ron.

Draco giving you his scarf when you got cold.

The group going "Oh. Oh they're totally in love"

Then Harry found out that Sirius black was friends with his parents.

And the leading cause of death of his parents.

You basically vowed that if you ever came across this fucker you'd probably punch him.

Then Lucius found out about Buckbeak.

And oh boy.

That did not blow over well

You called Lucius an "Asshole". To his face.

Hermione came up with a plan and FINALLY revealed "Hey I have a time turner"

You were like "YOU COULD NOT HAVE TOLD ME THIS BEFORE I CALLED THAT VERY TERRIFYING MAN AN 'ASSHOLE'!?"

So you went on a rescue mission

It was an emotional rollercoaster

At one point you were convinced that Harry's dad was alive.

Just to find out that Harry could produce a bright ass patronus.

Then you're discovered your favorite professor was housing a convict.

Then you had a panic reaction and punched the convict.

Just to find out that he was innocent and that Ron's rat was actually guilty.

Then when the actual guilty party was revealed and tried to run you discovered that your favorite professor is a goddamn werewolf.

But hey, Harry now had a godfather!

The next summer came along and Tonks picked you up from King's Cross and met Remus

She couldn't stop staring and neither could Remus.

Immediately you knew something was going to happen there.

The summer was spent listening to Tonks go on and on about this guy who used to be your professor.

Which: you were used to listening to weird shit because there were some girls who did have a thing for Snape.

But you knew way too much about Remus to ever find anything attractive about him.

Anyways: SUMMER!!!

Which again was spent at the Burrow

This time you all ended up going to the World Quidditch game.

When you saw Draco there you had to hide excitement because Lucius was there and-- Holy shit did he get more terrifying-- HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!?

Draco still found ways to talk to you though

Cedric noticed the smiles and the glances at each other

The whole group noticed.

It was hard not to when you had that smile that could light up a fucking room on your face.

Fred and George would tease you relentlessly.

But Draco managed to sneak off to you guys and hung out after the game.

Y'know. Right before it went to shit

You all managed to escape but you got separated from Draco and was anxious the entire fucking time

Then he snuck out and went to the burrow and you hugged him

It was the first time you two ever really showed affection to each other.

Especially since Draco was giving you this kind of hug that made you melt into his arms

Molly and Arthur were like "They're in love." Immediately.

He stayed for dinner before having to leave

"So. How long have you had a crush on him?" Fred asked.

"What?" You asked.

"Come on. No one looks at someone that way and doesn't have a crush on them." George said.

The thought of you having a crush on him actually never crossed your mind.

But then they said that and now it was the only thing you could think about.

Which made the next time you saw Draco very... Jumpy.

"Hi." He said as you were reading on the train which scared you so bad your book was unintentionally launched at Harry's head.

Then at the feast he sat next to you and asked if you were okay after you blushed so intensely he thought you were running a fever.

You knocked over your drink.

We can begin to notice that you are a lot more clumsier than usual.

I mean yeah you were always clumsy but this is a whole new range of clumsy.

Then the schools were introduced and Draco whispered in your ear making you nearly scream.

Fred and George were watching these interactions on the verge of pissing themselves

They knew damn well that they were the cause of your nervousness.

how would you rank the seasons from least to most favourite?

alright okay right off the bat worst season season 7. for starters i think this season has no staying power i mean like since i’ve been running this blog 4 so long now my knowledge of charmed is encyclopedic and insanely vast more than like it ever need be but for the longest time. i could not remember season 7. like wtf even happened there?? evidently leo became human??? cole returned? the avatars??? like all of it was just. it’s not even necessarily forgettable it’s just i straight up could not remember it for the longest time. and i’ve said it before the concept of utopia was way to advanced for a show like charmed to tackle i am not watching charmed for moral philosophy i am watching bc i love these girls ♥ hee hee hoo hoo magic adventure ✨ tho if i am to offer a single comment on utopia: it’s awfully rich for a show to go on about destiny and fate and then take a stand against utopia in the name of free will. but w/e. i don’t like leo in the avatars i don’t like his dynamic with piper in this season i don’t like whatever phoebe’s doing this season there’s like leslie?? maybe there’s someone else? boring & flavorless they should have been setting up her endgame instead of puttering around. and kyle. zoo wee mama. could have been a great antihero. morally gray. duplicitous. self serving. but no. they gave him all those traits and called him hero/love interest. s7 left a lot to be desired out of the characters and their relationships also gave us phat L’s such as the charmed ones are werewolves don’t worry about it and feminism peaked with naked women. shout out to zankou: demon, dilf, dub & the noir episode.

you know what? fuck it i’ll say it second worse season 5 genuinely fuck season five. this is probably a Very Specific beef 2 me But. i hate what they did to the charmed universe. this was the season that marked the transition of charmed from supernatural drama to campy soap which like. i love camp! i do! but fr. fuck this season and what it did to the worldbuilding. the early season have Such A Vibe to them man with warlocks and witches and just a couple niche monsters from assorted lore that the show took and made their own. season five opens with mermaids goes directly into fairytales then gives us superheros whatever the fuck was going on in that mummy episode the sandman leprechauns and nymphs. and i hate it for that. it takes away from this urban fantasy things that go bump in the night what lurks in the shadows of the back alleys of san francisco in favor of the ugliest cinderella dress ever put to television and an onslaught of horrible irish accents for a full episode. other issues with season five: cole’s still here? why? they don’t know and neither will you! we’re not redeeming him! phoebe’s not getting back together with him! yes he died we just refuse to let him go! the cherry on top of course being a cole-centric 100th episode. shout out to. hmm. lemme think about what i actually liked about this season. i like jason dean as a love interest i don’t remember what he did in s5 but i know he was there. the season finale i’ve talked about how stupid & shitty it was but idc i still love that episode and then shout out to bacarra the only original villain this season that was a proper serve. the crone gets second place.

next on this come on we all saw it coming season 8. it’s a bad season! and i get bts there was a whole lot happening budget cuts missing actor etc. but it goes beyond that. it was a bad season. billie and christie were bad. and i’ve said this before but billie in herself is not an inherently bad character. she was just the literal worst for the show. she was a dollar store buffy blonde confident cocky skilled and ready 2 fight evil But. we are not following her like we followed buffy we are following her mentors. it’s like if we had a show called giles that aired for seven seasons And Then buffy showed up. billie was insanely irritating to watch from our perspective and in general wasn’t like. well written. attempts to humanize her / give her more depth often fell flat. and then christy. oh nelly. oh my god. barely a character. not well acted but hey it would have been a miracle if she was. negatives include dumain who was a mess omg bringing back the triad bringing back the source billie & christy obvi and also involving homeland security. which is season 7′s fault which is why it’s the worst. dubs on the other hand include both coop and henry i really liked them the shoehorned love interests weren’t great but i like their characters i though the way the got rid of leo to save on the budget was really creative and gave us a great piper episode and of course the sugary sweet finale i love it i do what can i say.

yet another controversial choice aptly coming in fourth is season 4. i respect what season 4 set out to do. i think it was a good idea. long form narratives, keeping a darker tone, focusing on character-driven drama and growth. too bad it fucking failed miserably at all of this. cole as the source and phoebe as the queen of hell was just so so botched. they had a very unique opportunity following the death of prue to explore these characters and what it means to them to be charmed, to be witches. they saved the world but the cost is insanely high. they’ve lost an older sister. they’ve gained a new sister. how do you even begin to cope with all this? episodes such as hell hath no fury and brain drain fuck so hard because they work with exactly that. had the whole season been like those episode season four would sit at number one with flying colors absolutely no competition. but alas. we can’t have nice things. the show got so bogged down with phoebe & cole, in a way that was just so, so messy. for starters, whether you loved cole or hated him before, we can all agree source!cole sucked. he was such a strong 180 from what we had seen that the show had to make the source some type of possession to justify half the shit they were trying to pull. and then to pit phoebe and paige against one another over a man was just. disgusting. and the ending of course felt rushed because it was! they wrapped up that entire issue in a nice little bow much faster than they reasonably should have been able to. it could have been a great season. it was definitely not. shout out to the seer an iconic mastermind on barbas levels, as previously stated brain drain and hell hath no fury Specific shout out to piper’s scene at prue’s grave shout out to paige as a character i like what they did with her and um. yeah that’s it.

okay we’re exiting the shit tier in favorite of the good tier welcome to the upper half. kicking us off is season 6. season 6 did what season 4 could not in that it gave us a long form plot that still left plenty of room for like. normal demon of the week episodes. i love phoebe early in this season with her faboo haircut her brand new empathy power and her relationship with jason dean. obvious strikes against for whatever the fuck that baby crazy stint was and also the mata hari episode. yikes. i love paige’s hair color in this season nothing paige as a character necessarily stands out to me however i like how they seem to have hit the blend of work-magic with paige where she wants a life and career outside of magic however she still loves the craft and embraces is with an open heart and mind. season six also gives us chris who was a very fun male lead imo we really didn’t have many like him he’s bitchy. he whines and bitches a lot he’s got an agenda he’s a bit secretive but at the end of the day he just wants a family i like him. i like the character growth we see out of piper i like seeing her try to move on from leo i love seeing her get back together with leo i like her dynamic with chris and her fears about motherhood. i also liked richard but that one takes a lot of justification. L’s are witchstock hyde school reunion used karma off the top of my head also the paige/richard/addiction plotline was so tone deaf. also the girls were mean to darryl : ( he deserved so much better. dubs were chris as a character, tbh the episode little monsters, phoebe with empathy specifically saying i love you too to jason i could write a dissertation on that line alone also the courtship of wyatt’s father and i thought the reveals of evil wyatt and chris being piper and leo’s son were both fun and interesting plot twists.

coming in third is actually season 2 a season i really do love it’s just. it lacks structure. imo there is a lot to love about season 2 morality bites and pardon my past are both delightful time travel episodes we get jack sheridan and bane jessup two of my personal favorite prue love interests we get p3 h2o and a great prue plotline regarding the death of patty we get the super cute cupid episode it’s a great. collection of episodes. it’s not a great season. there’s just imo not a strong enough thread connecting the stories together it’s mainly held together by having the same characters in it over and over again i really liked dan personally but like. i knew we were wasting time there. he was just an obstacle. a super cute loving and caring obstacle who’s great with kids but lbr piper and leo were always endgame. wasting our time on dan was stupid. i do love the sister dynamics in season two “gotta hand it to those pesky little demons they sure have brought us closer together” but again. this season could have benefitted from a rex and hannah type or even like a cole or zankou. this season is less of a season and more of just like a handful of episodes, and while there are some fat dubs, there are also some definite swings & misses. shout out to the time travel episodes the prue centric episodes phoebe’s character growth and maturity throughout this season (e.g. her going back to college) and i also think the fashion got a lot more fun this season.

second place i’m saying season one season one was a really strong start and gave us these really compelling characters with interesting relationships between one another But. a lot of it just kinda falls flat. and credit where credit is due it was a brand new show getting its feet under it but the fourth sister feats of clay which prue is it anyway they just simply aren’t dubs imo. also i don’t like that 70′s episode bc again i am an asshole concerned about The Lore i can’t believe one bitch ass warlock caused the Charmed Ones to grow up without powers. it just really bugs me. all in all the plots as a whole like aren’t great imo they’re nothing to write home about (save for from fear to eternity) it’s really the characters that make this season so goddamn good.

first place congratulations to the one the only season three. this is just because it kinda hits all my requirements in that it has some banger one offs (e.g. all halliwell’s eve, the good, the bad, and the cursed) it has an overarching plot at the exact same time as the source becomes more prominent and obvi cole is also there with murderous intent i like the character growth we see especially from prue i like piper and leo finally get married overall i really like the aesthetic of this season that blends a darker urban fantasy tone with still some charmed fashion and whimsy. strikes against tbh phoebe and cole’s relationship i am insanely picky with my enemies to lovers and the do not come remotely close to cutting the mustard in fact they are almost immediately disqualified however from afar i can see and respect The Drama. shout out to recasting victor prue with pistols death as a character and shannen directing episodes

Just watched TFATWS episode 4. I have a lot to say to continue at your own risk. Also, I'm gonna be all over the place so I might start off talking about the beginning of the episode but it won't last long

-Opening scene with Bucky made my heart squeeze

- The scene where the Dora Millaje warrior steps on the shield and catches it really gave off 'and what about it?' vibes and I love it

- She... she took his arm off...

- See this is why people need to just listen to Sam. Sam knows wassup

- I KNOW SHE DIDN'T JUST THREATEN SARAH AND HER BOYS!!! I LOVE YOU KARLI BUT I'LL FIGHT YOU!!!!

- Yall.... he did the knife thing. Bucky did the knife thing and my brain shot right back to CAWS. Iconic

- Also, dude, you're not gonna beat Bucky in a knife fight. Sorry bro

- the parallels in the whole show but this episode especially are insane

- "They weren't even super soldiers." Kinda a hilarious line but seeing John really struggle right there was something. You can see just how low he is in that moment, being caught totally off guard.

- I know it wasn't supposed to but that 'pointy sticks' line really didn't sit right with me. Again, I'm aware of the intent behind it, but it struck a nerve.

- Karli and Sam: both struggling in a world that isn't willing to hear them. Sam knows that what Karli is doing isn't the way, but he's still willing to listen and make her feel heard.

- John and Steve: I saw someone say that Steve is everything American can be, and John is everything America currently is. After watching that end scene.... yeah.

- More that I can't think about right now

- So obviously we know how this thing with John is gonna go. The symbol of protection in the U.S. is seen doing something that goes against everything they stand for and nothing happens. I'd love to see John suffer the consequences, but we'll likely see the government sweep it under the rug

- The way Sam looks at the shield covered in blood... same, dude. It was jarring and while I wasn't all that shocked I completely understand why so many people were disturbed.

- I can't describe how much I hate John Walker. I wanna say that I do think his character is interesting and well written, and I know they want the viewers to hate him, but god is it working. Everything from his entitlement to his impatience to the way he lands while chasing over one of Karli's soldiers (more on that later I guess). He's written so well but I just ugh

- Real quick, the entire cast for this show is perfect, but Anthony, Sebastian, and Wyatt are killing it!! They're such amazing actors and couldn't have been given a better role in the MCU

- This could be a reach but the way John lands, while he's chasing after one of Karli's soldiers (for lack of a name/better term), reminded me a lot of that scene in the first Avengers where Captain America stops the fight between Thor and Iron Man. Once again, we see John as the antithesis of Steve, being a part of and causing the problem instead of solving it.

-Also, Captain America doesn't use guns, John. Fuck you.

- I will not ever be over Lemar's death. First R**ph, now him. How much more do I have to take, marvel?? 😭

OHMYFUCKING GOD THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING! LIKE MY FAVORITE! This was the first Walker episode I watched live while! Jared was live tweeting it! It was so much fun and I enjoyed it a lot even if it did air at 5am for me dkjdshdj This episode was awesome for so many reasons like the new character dynamics were spot! on! and they improved so wonderfully upon the old ones! They’ve also gotten really better at balancing the work and family part of Walker and it just flowed together really well. I’ve watched the episode 3 times already! Walker just keeps getting better and better!

Hoyt and Abelaine’s relationship is so CUTE! I LOVE THEM. Hoyt is obviously like a son to her and she sees something in him and I just! love that! 

I loved the scene between Micki and Bonham. They got along really really well. HOW DOES THIS ENTIRE CAST JUST HAVE SO MUCH CHEMISTRY WITH EACH OTHER IT’S INSANE. Like Matt and Jared? Keegan and Jared? Lindsey and Jared? Coby and Jared? OK HOW DOES JARED HAVE SO MUCH CHEMISTRY WITH EVERYONE HE MEETS. ESPECIALLY MEN. *cough* Jensen *cough*

THE HOLY TRINITY! GERI, JARED AND HOYT! I LOVED LOVED LOVED IT PLS LEMME SEE MORE OF THEM PLEASE. 

Okay- Micki coming and taking Hoyt down (she is such a badass) was the right thing to do. Walker was letting *a face from the past* cloud his judgement and thinking, and blurring the line between right and wrong. It, while not easy, is the best thing for Hoyt and he’ll be able to lead a better life from here. Micki is smart, down-to-earth and I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH.

So I got bored and decided to type out a list of the cartoons/tv shows I’ve watched, cause why not! I think this is all I’ve watched, or at least recent enough (I’m thinking like…. 2014/15 onward, when I actively started to watch more cartoons)

It’s kinda long, and I’m kinda rambley, so I’ll put it under a keep reading thing (if I can) so you don’t have to scroll through that if you don’t want to. Idk who will actually read this, but hey maybe it’s an idea of what kind of things I might reblog on here! I’m always taking any suggestions for shows to watch, I love learning about and watching more and more cartoons! Kipo and The Age of Wonderbeasts - watched it all in early August, right before I watched The Owl House

Infinity Train - watched the pilot back in 2016, then the first season when it came out, but then I started college and didn’t get the chance to watch the 2nd/3rd season until I decided to watch the whole series (s1 again, 2/3 for the first time) this past week

Ouran High School Host Club - ok I know it’s anime not a cartoon and I can’t see myself reblogging anything from it but it’s literally the only anime I’ve watched more than like 1 or 2 episodes of/the only one I’ve seen in its entirety so I figured eh I’ll mention it

Camp Camp - I almost forgot to mention this one! I started watching it when there was I think only 3 episodes of season 1, so back in 2016, and I’ve loved it since then! I guess this summer’s season couldn’t happen cause of covid.... But I’m still excited for when/if it does eventually come out!

We Bare Bears - I’ve seen the first 2 seasons, maybe some of the third I can’t remember, I watched it when it first came out but I haven’t watched it in a while, so I would probably need to rewatch a bunch of it (I did rewatch I think the first season sometime this year? But it was while working on school projects so I wasn’t giving it my full attention), apparently there’s also a movie now???

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic - I was huge into the brony fandom from roughly 2013ish-2017ish, I’ve seen up to season 8 and a few episodes of season 9, and the 4 equestria girls movies, and the mlp movie; I probably know seasons 1 - 4 the most, maybe a little of 5, 6 and 7 are kinda fuzzy but I’ve seen them, 8 I watched over quarantine (since it’d been a few years since I had watched any of it, I also rewatched bits of 5-7) as well as I think the first episode or so of season 9, but I don’t remember them too well. I watched the movie (the pony one, not eqg) when it came out in theaters, and not too long after that I drifted away from the mlp fandom (tbh I was drifting a little bit before it came out, but I knew I had to stick in there at least until it came out since I had been waiting for so long for it). The equestria girls movies, I saw them all when they first came out (I even saw rainbow rocks in the theater). I think there’s like, half hour shorts or episodes or something?? That’s in the eqg universe?? But I don’t think I’ve seen any of them, and if I have it was probably a really early one a long time ago because I haven’t really kept up with anything after Legend of Everfree came out

Animaniacs reboot - I’ve seen the first 5 episodes and it’s nice!

Glitch Techs - I saw the first episode! Definitely want to continue it

Rick and Morty - I watched a few episodes of the first season in like March/April quarantine, but I was still dealing with online school at home finishing out last semester then. I think I want to watch this eventually, but I have other shows that I want to catch up on/watch before I’d get to this one

Tangled the Series - idk if that’s the name I’ve seen multiple names but I hope you know what I’m talking about, I saw a handful of episodes from the first season I think sometime around fall 2019, but I’d probably have to rewatch the whole thing

Adventure Time - I’ve never had cable/cartoon network so I didn’t watch this growing up, but I’ve heard really good things about it and seen a bunch of stuff from it (I’d have to be living under a rock to have not seen anything lol) but it’s so long and I just haven’t gotten around to it yet! Well I’ve seen maybe a dozen or so episodes of the first season but it was a while ago so I’d have/want to start over probably

Amphibia - I’ve heard it’s good! I just haven’t gotten around to it yet

Avatar the Last Airbender - probably next on my list to watch, I’ve been meaning to watch it for years but I haven’t yet, its on Netflix now so that should make it easier to watch and a friend from school made me promise that this would be the next one I’d watch so that’s what I’m doing (I did watch the last 2 seasons of infinity train that night though, since I was really wanting to finish it first… But atla is next) watched it! (updated 12/2/20)

The Legend of Korra - obviously I’m waiting to watch it until after alta, and I’m probably going to watch it right after I finish atla

The Dragon Prince - idk really anything about it other than I think it’s on netflix? and apparently it’s good and maybe gay idk but I’ve heard it’s good thus why it’s on here lol

Black Horseman - idk too too much about this other than apparently it’s good but also kinda depressing. Similarly to rick and morty I want to watch it eventually but its not insanely high on my list

OK KO - don’t know a ton about it other than it’s decent, a step up from r+m/bojack on where I want to watch it but not urgently

Ducktales Reboot - similarly to OK KO, don’t know much about it other than it’s decent, same level of want to watch

Milo Murphy’s Law - saw a couple episodes when it came out, haven’t watched it in forever so if I ever do want to rewatch it I’d have to restart it, not super high on my priority list though

Bee and Puppycat - another one I almost forgot! I don’t know a ton about this but I’ve heard its nice! Plus from what I’ve seen I like the artstyle so  👀 maybe someday

Animaniacs (original) - I started to watch the reboot and I think I want to watch the original eventually! Just haven’t gotten around to it yet

Clone High - listen it’s not that I desperately WANT to watch this, I just have friends who are like, hey, watch this lol it’s apparently not super long so why not

Brooklyn 99 - idk when I started watching it, maybe around season 4/5ish? I think sometime in 2018 so idk the season, idk, most of the episodes I’ve only seen once so I couldn’t tell you exactly what happens in every episode but I still like it

Rise - ugh I miss this show, I started watching it after/around when the 3rd episode came out (end of March 2018?), and I don’t think I’ve watched any of it since it ended (mid may 2018) cause its not on any streaming services anymore :/ at least not that I know of but I loved it and would love to rewatch it

Andi Mack - I’d heard it was good but hadn’t watched it after it ended (early august 2019 I think I watched it), haven’t rewatched it since then but it was decent, I mainly watched it cause I had seen clips of gay but yknow it was alright

Sex Education - watched 1st season sometime in 2019, when rewatched it/watched season 2 when it came out January 2020, this is like WAY more mature than like anything on this list but like it has an interesting story

Love Victor - watched first/currently only season when it came out mid june 2017 (how was June so long ago what)

Queer Eye - I’ve seen a couple seasons of it idk I figured why not add it lol

ARE WE SHARING THE SAME MIND BECAUSE OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all the 2021 dramas, at least for now, are so embarrassing the way they cannot hold my attention at all with what they are giving us. and i was excited for a lot of dramas. the last time it was that bad was in 2016-17, those 2 years were terrible for me kdrama vise.

like I’m giving the river drama more chances because from what i saw of the 2nd male lead in ep2 i liked him a lot!!!!!!! and I never liked that actor in a role of his before. so you know at least they got me hooked with his character. and i cannot wait for the 2nd female lead to finally show up next week but listen, it’s not doing it for me either. sohyun always plays the tsundere girl who is all rough on the outside but craves love on the inside. and jisoo always plays a nice dumbass with a heart of gold. I really only liked jisoo in amanza (he played a nice dumbass with a heart of gold but with cancer). the leads are boring to me. i fast forwarded a loooooooooooot of scenes. and if the 2nd leads don’t fall in love with each other I’m out and will drop this. 

and i will watch ep1 of beyond evil for the dohyun cameo and here and there to see what my man yoonsoo will do in it with his minimum screen time......

and there will be dong yeon’s drama! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i don’t care if it will be shit (it def will be shitty. especially the plot........the lead as an italian mafioso askdjfhalksjdf growing up in italy?????? going back to korea????NO FUCKING WAY IT WILL BE GOOD. and i am an italian like shit be unrealistic here too. THE WRITER IS INSANE) so anyway it will air on netflix so i will get my HQ files and will make HQ gifs of dongyeon and his lil evil family and i will root for them to fuck the good guys up. fast forward everything but him and his lil family and the leading lady. i will gif her too.

and i will check out ep1 of dear.m for the 3rd and 4th leads. like idc about the leads and the 2nd leads at all.

and lovealarm2 will drop with 6 eps so more songkang and minshi content to gif. and i hope songkang will get back with sohyun’s character because if not.........................i will sue. 

joseon exorcist looks embarrassing with the cgi and the zombies......but sweethome also is embarrassing so maybe it will be good but the low budget kingdom copy is ehhhhhhhhhhhh. and in the trailers they haven’t even focused on the girls on this drama. you know what that means.....

crying because both  navillera and yom only got 12 eps. should have gotten 16 eps. anyway  navillera gonna be it for me. ballerino songkang and the old couple and him with the girl and it’s sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute. love my lil big dancer already. 

LISTEN THE DIRECTOR OF YOM worked with dohyun before and he got an acting award for that drama special and he will get an award for yom too. DRAMA OF THE YEAR OF THE DECADE IT WILL BE THAT GOOD. YOM will be that drama to make me love medical dramas. and i don’t like medical dramas at all. i stay away from them. and technically it’s not the focus of the drama (THANK GOD) and just the profession of their characters that are working in that field.

yes! it's an unpopular opinion b/c everyone is so quick to cancel people, but I'm still here for Nate. He reminds me of every other popular boy in high school who has always gotten his way b/c of his parents and doesn't know what to do when he doesn't. The same way Rue is rude to EVERYONE but Jules (she treats Lexi, Fez & her mom like garbage) but we're still open to her redemption. I'm still open to Nate, him and Rue have different demons but they are still kids trying to find their way.

TODAYS LESSON: WHY NATES CHARACTER SHOULD ONLY BE SHIPPED WITH A JAIL CELL AND WHY RUES FAULTS SHOULDNT BE COMPARED TO HIS AT ALL

Exhibit A: stalked a guy and beat him to a pulp for making out with his girlfriend (a VERY willing gf) who wasn't even his girlfriend at the time. batshit crazy stuff. He clearly has psychopathic tendencies from that incident alone.

B. Verbally assaulted Jules from inside of his truck while Jules was on her bike, causing her to fall and get hurt (yelling things like: why dont you ride on this dick)

C. Molested Rue when they were in junior year to which he didn't receive any punishment. I mean thats a horrible fucking thing to do man. Idc if thats my son, im yeeting him straight to jail.

D. Manipulated Jules for months as a different person, and convincingly so, only to hold it as a threat above her head. He snapped at her (anger issues) and we all thought he was gonna throw her into the lake. Psychopathic incident numero dos!

E. He constantly verbally abuses Maddy, saying shit like: why are you dressed like a fucking prostitute? Go home and come back dressed like a normal person. LETS NOT FORGET HE CHOKED HER. LEFT BRUISES THAT WERE SO BAD THE WHOLE SCHOOL GOT INVOLVED.

F. HES ALSO A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR AND AN INSANELY GOOD MANIPULATOR. He somehow had the guts to convince Maddy he loves her literally just after ratting her out for taking molly?? Not to mention he claimed to not do any drugs (a lie, the first episode proved that) and that it wasn't him who choked her.

And thats not even all of it. I'm not even going to go into how Rue and Nate are different. Bruh. The girl has mental illnesses she was born into the world with and continues to struggle. He doesn't. Every decision he makes is calculated precisely and with a shit ton of anger.

So yeah, its an unpopular opinion thank God but if you ask me, it shouldnt be an opinion at all. Throw his ass in jail first and THEN we can talk about this "redemption" for his character.

I was tagged by @cupcakecurl a while back (thank you!) and finally I’m on the mood for doing this myself as well!

Rules: tag 9 people you’d like to get to know better!

Top 3 current ships: I actually have just one OTP, which is Bela/Farin (aka FUB) from Die Ärzte, and then multiple smaller ones here and there. I’m finding new ships way too easily and sometimes it bugs me because I meant to enjoy a thing and boom, suddenly I have a ship there to fuck up with my brain. B/F is pretty much the only ship that I can say to actually ship, the rest are more like just for fun, I enjoy seeing stuff but I don’t really do anything about it, you know?

But now as I think of it, I think of it, I could say another band ship here: Paulchard aka Paul Landers and Richard Z. Kruspe from Rammstein, about these I have also watched videos and read some fancomics too and last summer’s tour was a wild one and I was following the events quite a lot.

And then maybe I could throw one fictional ship here too as it’s pretty much current one since I just finished watching the 5th season of Gotham last week, and that is, of course Nygmobblepot aka Penguin/The Riddler aka Oswald Cobblepot/Edward Nygma. I’ve never in my life shipped these before, even tho I’ve been a Batman fan since 1999 (I was 8) as I saw the 60s series on TV and I can remember almost shipping Batman and Robin back then, and I was only 8 years old!, and then had been watching the movies more or less during my childhood, but this was never something I’d even think of before I started watching Gotham and things started happening in the show. But it’s an interesting one. And I have to admit that while the show was still running and I couldn’t watch it because I live in Europe (and was too lazy to look for a website to watch it :D), I was still browsing the tag on Tumblr after each episode and giving myself spoilers of what happens with them. But I think the ending was a lot different than what I thought based on the Tumblr posts, and I’m actually not sure what to think of it. Imho it was not as bad as everyone else seemed to think.

I’m putting this under a read more link as this is getting way too long and I don’t know if people are interested in reading my weird thoughts about ships and other random stuff, so here you go... 

Top 3 all-time ships:  Oh my gosh, I have had so many but only like 2 actually strong ones? And I have to say Bela/Farin here as well, the reasons are found from above and I’m just so obsessed with them and idc what it is, already the friendship is like friendhip goals, you know? But yeah, I’ve been making videos about these two idiots for like last 10 years so... :D

And the next one, okay I’m usually not so talkative about ships. I can talk about them with people in private but I don’t like to go and shout about them publicly, probably the only one I talk about this way is Bela/Farin but it’s because Tumblr is a safe place for this and there’s no hate with this ship or anything (and the other one is Paulchard, every now and then I will reblog something that crosses my dash). But mainly I like to keep ships to myself and like I said in that other tag game post, ships are more like a guilty pleasure. Maybe because of my age as it was very normal at the age of 15 but now as I’m 28? Why am I still “in love with other people’s love”? I actually don’t mind it but I think many people would find it weird, especially when I don’t read fanfictions anymore and I don’t want to imagine anything, I just like seeing cute stuff, but with many ships I don’t even want to see too much, I just like seeing them being close but with many ships even seeing them kiss would be too much.

But anyway, top 3 all-time ships... I think I need to mention here a ship that I was very much obsessed when I was 15-17, that I wrote LOTS OF fanfiction and was there to make lots of fan theories and all, and that one was Frerard aka Gerard Way/Frank Iero from My Chemical Romance. I was SO obsessed it’s insane. If you know anything about MCR and Frerard, you maybe are aware of how was the year 2007 and you can probably imagine how crazy we all went when Project Revolution stuff happened. So yeah, I need to mantion that here even tho I no longer “believe in this ship”, but I guess I’d lie if I said, that I didn’t believe that there was something there back in the day. I’ve actually recently been watching some Frerard theory videos just for fun, because there’s so many things I had forgotten and so many things I still can remember, but also lots of stuff that I kinda missed because they happened in 2010-2012, and even tho I was still very much in the fandom and I was to their second gig in Finland in 2011, I still was not that much into the Danger Days album so I was not so into digging up stuff either. And I had my own identity crisis and Die Ärzte had been my favorite band for 1-2 years at that time so I was spending lots of time watching DÄ videos, so MCR was kinda at the background. And then the whole band went quiet for some time until they quit in 2013 (and now they’re back), so all that Frerard hype kinda died after each of them started to get married to other people and the kids were born, so there just... kinda was no more room for the ship, you know? But Freard was my first actual huge slash ship, I’ve had others before it (for example, my first touch to slash fiction was Harry Potter fanfiction and of course Harry/Draco stuff, but that one also later died out), but it was the first really strong one and then Bela/Farin kinda took its place as Frerard died out but B/F has been going strong and the ship has been sailing itself since the 80s, so... :D

And as the last one I think I could again mention something fictional but at the same time something that is super weird for me as it’s not slash fiction but hetship, which is something REALLY weird for me. I usually don’t like heteroships as they’re just... boring and so cliché. But I need to mention this one that I got into when I was 15: Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from The X-Files. Yeah I know it was 2006 and the series had ended already in 2002, but I was a new fan! I had known about the series since I was a little kid as my dad was watching it back then, but I started watching it myself when the show had a rerun here in 2004-2005. And then I met my friend in 2006 when we were 15 and we found out that we both were very much into TXF and I remember how we somehow both started to ship Mulder and Scully (having no idea of how the series ended), and it was probably until the 6th season (there was 9 seasons at the time) when they stopped airing it altogether, so we were so furious about the fact because the last episode was such a cliffhanger and we NEEDED TO KNOW, so I had to buy them on dvd! So I remember how we would meet at school every day and after every episode, we went so crazy, discussing what had happened in the episode and if there was any Mulder/Scully activity, we were just so hyped :D And then, as we STILL hadn’t seen all the seasons, we went to see the second movie (”TXF: I want to believe”) in theaters in 2008 or so, and it’s set to happen after the events of the seasons, we were both so blown away by what was in the movie because we had no clue :D Fun fact: I actually finished watching the 9th season only last year. So now I understand the events of the second movie a lot better, and I’ve also seen the 10th and 11th seasons so now I’m finally aware of everything. But that really is a hetship that I accept and that is not like a typical movie romance type of ship. It has interesting dynamics.

Reading: Atm I have 3 books I’m reading, all of them in Finnish:

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, which has all the short stories in one. But I think there’s some of the newer ones missing and that’s why I bought this bit newer book with more stories, and I’m gonna read those once I’m finished with this one. And I’ve been reading this now for years lol... but I’m slowly getting there, I’m already over halfway through :D

A collection of Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories, I don’t know the name for this book and it doesn’t say any name for the original. This one I also started to read a years back, only to pause if for years and then last year I borrowed it again from my dad and tried to continue from where I was left the last time.

The Heroes of Olympus: The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan. I’ve been reading his books ever since I was a, well, teenager probably, and I have had a long pause with these books and reading overall, but now I’m back at it and trying to buy and read all of his books I still haven’t read.

I wanted to read the latter only after finishing with SH and Poe’s stories but I needed to read something and they’re bit too difficult reading at the times, and I needed something lighter but also didn’t want to start over with Harry Potter for the 5th time so I decided to go for this series instead. I really like reading SH and Poe’s stories, but like I said, they’re bit difficult at the times. You can’t just read them, you need to think and use your brains meanwhile you’re reading, and sometimes it’s just so incredibly hard to stay focused on it and I need to go back so often because I wasn’t paying attention and then had no clue what was happening and why.

And I sometimes I skip some of Poe’s stories because they’re so purely scientific about a topic that I cannot comprehend nor care about, e.g. this one story that was almost like a science essay about hot-air balloon flight in the form of a story, probably super interesting for someone who likes this kind of stuff and even more interesting for a writer interested in stuff like that, but I’m really not the target audience of that story :D But then there’s also lots of really interesting ones, I especially like the ones that have something to do with insanity. I guess people would call them as the horror stories, but idk, I just love that kind of mystery. For some reason all of my favorite stories are those where there is a dead woman/love interest :DD But probably my ultimate favorite is the one about writing an article to a magazine with horror stories, and how this guy become beheaded and all just to write a story about how it feels like and stays alive meanwhile, and I just LOVE IT when fictional works play with death and when something that is supposed to kill you, doesn’t, and I just love the idea of that story so much :D It’s just that you never know how a story will be like, as you start reading, is it a scientific essay or a mystery or a horror story or about insanity or what is it? And then when in the middle of reading and you realize this is bit boring or uninteresting, but still want to finish, but also want to skip, and that’s why I get stuck with that book, and I change to SH or something else. Often I also grab some of the comics (or non-fiction books) I own whenever I feel like reading but these books feel too heavy for that moment.
