the thing is, you know, when i started writing magicians fic season 4 had been over for a few months so, obviously, the theme of quentin coldwater's psychoemotional state post inevitable resurrection had been tackled, repeatedly, including in stories i had read and liked a lot. and years before that, when i did my little winter soldier trio of fics, same thing, i was coming in at a time when so many people had already addressed the concept of what about bucky barnes's trauma - by the time i posted my big (lol "big" in those days for me was 34k which is just over what this freaking epilogue is going to come in at) bucky fic "bucky barnes recovery fic" or whatever was already a saved ao3 tag - and i had read and adored a bunch of those stories and very much thought, as i later would about quentin, right, okay, i want to do my version of that. but that was not the case when i was in eighth grade and got like 17k into a gundam wing fic i eventually abandoned because its plot demands were WAY above what i could write at the age of 14 (or like until i was in my 30s lmao) but which was truly just me noodling on the concept of, but what about everyone's trauma? like i'd read a lot of gundam wing fic and i'd liked a lot of that fic but i can't stress to you how much "idk, people just wander around being sort of fucked up and having cathartic conversations with each other" was not a standard fandom modus operandi in gundam wing fandom circa 2002 the way it was in winter soldier 2014 or magicians 2019. like i was really literally just Like That. as a child, with, truly to my recollection, NO models or inspiration for this, i was like, "but i want to see what happens to the ones who have survived hell and must now adjust to the different terror of actual living." for what reason. child psychologists DNI

Dad Eyeless Jack Angst

Jack was keeping a snack in the basement. Some middle aged camper, you didn’t know and didn’t care. All you knew is that he was loud, screaming and pleading with your father. Something about his wife? You would just turn up the music in your headphones and ignore it. Jack could dissect the man, you would just eat whatever he put in the fridge.

Being Jack’s child wasn’t easy, you were stuck in a small cabin in the woods eating humans to survive. You didn’t receive much of an education or anything, mostly teaching yourself. But when BEN, someone you had become close with, gave you a phone, you managed to learn more. However, it didn’t change one thing.

You needed human meat to survive. That was the biggest downside to being the child of one of the most feared creepypastas.

One day though, Jack had been out. Something about needed to patch up a man named Masky? Or Tim? Jack referred to him with both names, but it didn’t really matter to you. You just nodded, mostly ignoring him, and went back to texting BEN, your only real friend.

You threw your phone down, quickly standing and walking toward the kitchen. Hunger struck you, and Jack had left a liver in the fridge. A small snack to tide you over until dinner.

As you grabbed a plate, a banging let out. Jacks newest meal was banging on the door again. You rolled your eyes and took off toward your room, food in hand. Didn’t matter to you, it wasn’t like he was going to get out anytime soon.

‘Rember that victim Jack had’

‘Which one?’

‘The one that’s in the basement rn’

‘Ohhhhhhh yeh’

‘Yeah, bitch is banging on the door and won’t shut up’

It didn’t take but two seconds for BEN to manifest in your room, a large and evil grin on his face. He motioned for you to lead the way, and the two of you made your way to the basement door. The banging had stopped, and you looked at each other.

Reading each others mind, you opened the basement door. Might as well scare the living hell out of him. You silently walked while BEN floated down the stairs, peering around the corner. The man sat there, he reeked of fear and panic. Dread and despair.

A loud bang was heard, the front door had swung open. It wouldn’t shock you if it was off it’s hinges. The man looked over to where you were and screamed, backing himself into a corner. Loud footsteps sounded above and a shadow cast over the basement door opening. You and BEN looked to the top of the stairs and Jack stood there, shadows covering most of his features.

“Shittttttttttt…” BEN swore, looking at you. You both walked up the stairs, slightly pushing past Jack. He slammed the door shut, BEN disappeared quickly, and it was just you and your father. You gave him a look as he snapped the lock shut.

“You’re home early,” you commented, only to be quickly shut up.

“Why the hell are you downstairs? What have I told you? And why was BEN here?” Jack questioned, you could feel his rage increasing.

“BEN is over here all the time, you know that. And we were bored, just wanted to scare the guy, chill out,” you explained, brushing it off as if it was nothing.

“Chill out? What if he were to have gotten out? He’s not chained up or anything!” Jack began to raise his voice and you became slightly defensive.

“Well, he didn’t. It’s fine,” you tried to reason, backing away very slowly.

“Listen, don’t go down there, you could fuck something up,” Jack turned and stormed off.

“Yeah? Like I fucked up your life,” you mumbled, turning and walking to your room. You knew Jack would have heard it, but you didn’t care enough to see his reaction. You knew he’d be angry, imagining steam coming out of his ears and his face turning cherry red. Arriving in your room, you flopped on the bed.

“Another fight?” BEN questioned, sitting on your desk.

“Yeah, and thanks for the backup out there,” you rolled your eyes. BEN jumped up and laid next to you, his own eyes looking at your ceiling.

“Sorry, never know if he’s going to explode or not. I’d rather not be present for that,” he admitted.

“Nah, I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t want to either,” you cringed at memories of Jack truly yelling at you.

“Meh, now you got me! We should go, have fun!” BEN sprung up and motioned toward your window. You smiled, walking over and opening the window. You knew Jack would be pissed, but whatever, you couldn’t care less. Like how he couldn’t care less about you. His child that fucked up his life.

Tiso has one point on Markoth, when it comes to fighting Alphas: he has a weapon. A weapon built for blocking. It is not a very big point, but it is a point.

(And people very capable of backing him up with Pokemon.)

Also, for your interests, a possibility: Markoth does not throw hands with Kamado for exiling a child, because he is with said child. Tiso throws hands for the child he has never met. Because he seems like the kind of guy who would hear about a kid in danger and immediately throw hands. The rest of team fight god is systematically dismantling his reputation (because Emmet refuses to let kids witness murder).

Just ugh yes such a good point - because Markoth’s weapons are entirely magic based and that was deliberately sealed off by Arceus (Kamado is quick to suspect kids nevermind a guy with weapons, so it was a safety reason) but Tiso has a physical shield which is so useful for team fight god (love that nickname for them btw lmao). Since team fight god are considerably in the wild spying on the clans and team but always missing the trio (and ingo) - they need all the little help surviving attack which shields are great for. Plus, all three are extremely good pokemon trainers (I won’t even tolerate Hop slander - he got to the semifinals and lost to the protag - he is skilled)

Also for the exile point just - imma ramble I gotta.

So I’ve been brainrotting the banishment arc, and in A Moth In Hisui Markoth gets normally exiled - but here it’s just Dawn and Odessa that were originally going to be exiled. Imma draw it but - basically Markoth earned respect rather than fear compared to these strangely extremely skilled teenagers (Dawn is the Sinnoh Champion, Odessa is the Galarian Champion) and so Kamado is highly sus of them. How can two teenagers be so skilled with this and unafraid of pokemon?

BUT

Markoth ain’t gonna fucking take that and willingly banishes himself with the two kids because ‘no fuck you, you can’t banish kids into a place you deem dangerous, even if they’re skilled, you’re willingly pushing them into a place you think will hurt them’. Whilst the Kamado boss fight is dealt with either Odessa or Dawn - Markoth gets that Dadkoth moment. I have to draw it god-

To swing it back around to Tiso, just, yes. Just yes: multiple times has Tiso been thiiis close to yeeting someone off a cliff especially with Hop and Barry being the kids closest to him to protect™️ He’s the guy who pretends he doesn’t care that much but you know he’s glaring down whatever just threatened the kids he happens to be looking after at any point. And I just like the image of him just hearing from the trio when they find each other eventually, that oh yeah Kamado banished the girls and he’s just Ò_Ó at him, whilst Emmet is internally going oh no not again- I just think Tiso should have that throw hand instinct with whoever messes with kids (i’m predictable I know)

Hell, maybe they finally find the trio after they confront Kamado, team fight god upset and mad that he just exiled Dawn and Odessa. Maybe they catch Tiso about to throw hands with Kamado and getting to be relieved that oh hey, Markoth! But also that Markoth was with these teens that got yeeted out. Idk, figuring it all out. Basically Tiso doesn’t like Kamado for a good long while dkdkdkejdkd

Team fight god employing their nicer world views to stop Tiso from throwing hands with everything (to be fair on Tiso, Hollow Knight is not a kind world, so the defense mechanism makes sense). The boys all gotta bond with each other and I just think Tiso showing that protective side is cute and endearing and fun to write. Even towards Emmet too. Tiso’s just really bad at admitting he cares.

Helmets on makes a kind of sense for a collection of beings that are all adopted/found family. It makes them look the same from the outside and that's comforting.

But not removing helmets at all, when it's just your clan or tribe is dumb as hell. Where's the bond, you're literally othering yourselves!?

And you mean to tell me every meal, even in a stealth based night mission, you all split up individually and remove your helmets??? This is the perfect opportunity to build trust among yourselves and protect each other while vulnerable/wearing less armor. I HATE YOU.

Also, no hate, but all these are my own personal opinions and thoughts, so don't flame me!! Everyone interprets the characters, manga, and anime differently so please don't be offended by what I say.

Answering below the cut in case anyone wants to avoid seeing this and any potential manga spoilers!! Also tagging this with my ranting tags just in case because knowing me, I talk too much XD

Eren's decision on The Rumbling

I've talked about this before (somewhere in a reply to an ask) and I know we all don't agree with Eren's choice of committing massacre with The Rumbling, but honestly, this was what Eren decided, and it was what he deemed was the 'best choice'.

If this was how Isayama wanted Eren to act and this was what he thought was the decision Eren would decide on, then we should all just respect Isayama's choice. There's no way he can satisfy every single reader out there. Sending him hate because of this isn't acceptable.

Thoughts on Gabi and the Marleyans

Ah, yes, everyone's favourite discourse. I believe everyone has something to say about this, so I don't want to talk too much about it. Yes, I don't like Gabi, and yes, I don't think I'll like her ever. But do I hate her as a character and for killing Sasha? No.

Gabi was raised as a child soldier and with what was widely accepted as 'correct' in Marley was that everyone across the ocean is a 'devil'. What she did was out of survival instinct and it was just unfortunate that Sasha was at the receiving end of the blow. Marley was under attack by what she knew were the 'devils'. As a soldier, there's no 'home' without your country, and of course she would go all out to defend her homeland. It could have been anyone that was dead; Connie, Jean, literally anyone else up on the airship.

I love Sasha and I'm obviously pissed about Sasha dying, but as what I mentioned above, if Isayama wanted the plot to go this way, then who are we to say otherwise 🤷🏽‍♀️she got her character arc and development, and I'm satisfied with how things turned out.

Idk if I'm going to get flamed for this lol, but I really can't relate to the Marleyans too, and I don't like them, maybe except Pieck, Colt, and Niccolo (and maybe Porco). I don't agree with their ideology and I don't agree with many of the things they do. So yeah, I'm with the Eldians, and don't try to convince me otherwise haha.

Thoughts on character ships

Okay LOL I know I AM probably going to get hate mail or flamed or whatever for saying this, but I dislike almost every character ship out there except for Eremika and Niccolo x Sasha. Yes, character x Levi ships included. I have two popular Levi x character ships blocked because I dislike it so much lmao (have fun guessing which two).

Yes, I do ship Levi with someone, but I'm not saying who (those who know will know. Those who don't... please stay that way) because I don't want to start a discourse here. It's up to your own interpretation on who you want to ship whichever character together, but bear in mind that nothing is actually canon and confirmed by Isayama.

You can ship whoever you want, but don't force your ship on others and shoot them down saying that your ship is the 'best'.

Thoughts on the manga

People have sent hate mail and death threats to Isayama over the manga, and seriously people, DON'T DO THAT WHAT THE HELL????????????? It's all work of fiction, and honestly this is such a disrespectful and low move. If you don't like what you read, then don't read it?? Does sending hate mail to the mangaka make you feel better, or you think something you dislike about the manga will change?

I love the manga and all its spin-offs (No Regrets, Lost Girls, Before the Fall included) and yes there are certain things I dislike and things I don't agree with, but this is a work of fiction and people should just chill and enjoy the manga as it is.

This also applies to people sending hate to fanfic writers for writing certain topics that they don't feel comfortable with. If you don't like what you see, then don't read it??? Writers tag their work with the appropriate tags, so filter those tags away?? Don't send hate to people for things like this.

Thoughts on the anime

I know there's this whole WIT Studios vs MAPPA whatever and I love both animation studios, and both have their pros and cons. In my humble opinion, both animated the action sequences and fight scenes really good, but WIT Studios did a fantastic job with colouring and animation of the character's irises (which I love) and I like the way they animated the titans a little more. I like how MAPPA beefed Levi up (*slurps*), but I prefer the way WIT Studios animated Levi (Season 3 hello??????)

The only thing about the anime that I'm unhappy about was how little we got to see of No Regrets. The manga had soooooo much backstory of Levi, Isabel and Farlan, and there's so much more story about the Veterans as well. It's sad that they reduced eight amazing chapters in the manga to two OVA episodes and they cut out so much story telling as well. And this is why,,, I am always a manga over anime person.

One last thing that I may get flamed for (which I don't really care lol), is that I literally don't care about the English dub. Yes we all have preferences, some prefer Japanese, some prefer English. But similar to what I mentioned previously, don't go telling people how much you like one version and shoot down the other.

Also, I don't care about Matt Mercer and how sexy he sounds as Levi. Kamiya Hiroshi is my one and only Levi and his voice is the one I hear in my head every time I write Levi's dialogues and voice in my fics. Therefore, my choice of words when writing Levi's dialogues, his speech patterns, and my description of Levi's 'voice' is very much based on Kamiya Hiroshi's interpretation of Levi and the Japanese language. Which brings to my last general thought and point:

Thoughts on Levi

WELL I am a Levi blog after all, so obviously I have to talk about my husband and save the best for the last hehe. Also, another reminder that these are just my thoughts and feelings, so please don't tell me how much you disagree with me and how I'm wrong ;~;

I know many people say Levi is a cat person, but I beg to differ. In my head, he loves dogs. And I don't want to elaborate more because I know people are going to debate and tell me how I'm wrong lol.

Also. If Levi had descendants, he would NEVER name them after Kuchel, Isabel, and Farlan. I don't think this is how he would honour them and his memory of them, especially with Isabel and Farlan. I feel that Levi's biggest regret was detouring from Farlan and Isabel and going on his own, which indirectly caused Levi to not be there when the abnormal titan attacked them during No Regrets.

I don't want to talk too much about No Regrets since some of you may not have read it, but in gist, Levi was supposed to do *something* alone, but Farlan told Levi to trust him and Isabel to let them help him. On their expedition outside of the walls, once more Levi told Farlan and Isabel that he was going to do *something* alone and the two of them should stay with the group, but Farlan wanted to follow Levi. Levi told Farlan to trust him and stay, and he will do *something* alone. But when he didn't do *something*, he came back and saw Farlan and Isabel already dead. It was raining heavily on that day, and I also feel that Levi hates rainy days because of this. I feel that he blamed himself for causing Farlan and Isabel's deaths, and he would be guilty about this forever, no matter how many years passed.

By naming his descendants after the closest two friends he ever had seems to be rubbing salt on his wounds, and it would be an insult to his memory of them.

I also don't think Levi has a huge dick please, like my man isn't that long and thick everyone thinks he is. Levi's probably four to five inches max and his dick is slender and pretty. Who cares about how huge his dick is anyway, right? It's the sperm that fertilises the egg so you know, I care more about his balls and sperm count than how huge his dick is because his dick can't give me a baby but his sperm can XD also. His dick can do wonders okay he knows how to make you feel good in other ways so, who needs a huge dick anyway?????

Levi faced severe malnutrition and starvation since he was a kid, and in the environment he grew up in, Levi's physical health wouldn't be at the best. Of course through military training and living above the Underground did him good, but I feel that Levi's immune system wouldn't be the best. He probably would also have a pretty sensitive digestive system and can't take things like dairy, spicy food, or too much meat.

Levi probably sleeps with a candle lit, his bed is near to the window, and he never sleeps with his back facing the door. I feel that he's hypervigilant even when asleep, and he probably has a small knife or blade (the one he used in No Regrets maybe hehe) hiding underneath his pillow in the event that he feels threatened or under attack. His bed is near the window so that he can escape fast if he was under attack. He also probably sleeps with a candle lit because total darkness brings back bad memories of his time in the Underground, and the warm candlelight helps him feel safe.

Okay! So TokRev is a pretty popular series, I myself have watched it and read the manga and am keeping up with it often- but I'll be honest, I really hate the series.

Initially, it was fun but the storyline was never something that really made you go- oh hell yeah this is great. In fact I find myself often thinking about how stupid it is.

Much of the plot is pretty pointless and the story just goes in random ways to suit a specific plan ig?

I think the only reason people do enjoy it at all is the same as for me, the characters are really interesting/hot/daddy/imsosorrylmao.

Now let me explain what points in the plot actually bother me:

1 • The Main Plot

So the story begins with Takemitchy traveling back in time to save his ex-gf from dying.

While it's understandable that you would go save someone once so dear to you if you had the chance..... BRO- CHANGING THE PAST HAS CONSEQUENCES, ARE YOU REALLY GONNA GO THROUGH THAT FOR YOUR DEAD EX WHO YOU BROKE UP WITH LIKE 10 YEARS AGO? I get you're miserable and broke and all... But the amount of drive he had for this goal which feels really pointless just bothers me.

2 • The Plot Armour

Do I even need to explain this? The amount of plot armour in this story is SO annoyingly obvious ㅠㅠ

To begin- we have the MC Takemitchy who is this weak ass lil boy who gets his ass kicked all the time but apparently has never been to the hospital or gotten killed despite the amount of blood he loses and critical hits he takes ....what?

Then we have the much ignored case of Shinichiro- who died after being hit in the head with a metal pipe by a child. On the other hand, Draken the Great is still up and running even after being hit in the head with a bat, was it? During the attempt on his life by Valhalla and Peh Yan. So somehow, Draken survived and still got up to fight later, but Shinichiro died instantly? Shinichiro was weak, but no kind of strength helps you survive a fatal hit in the head. Especially for a half bald guy like Draken Vs fluffy haired Shinichiro (yes that matters). It's just so confusing.

And the character with the strongest plot armour, The Invincible Mikey. Somehow, despite almost always being a whole foot shorter and 3× lankier than his opponents, bro manages to beat their ass with ease and even if he gets hit it just doesn't affect him...? Wierd, huh.

Other than that plot armour protects like, half of Toman and all of Takemitchy's friends.

3 • Dark Impulses???

I cannot be the only one utterly confused over the dark Impulses thing.

What the heck are they? Why is it such a big deal? Was the time leaping not enough of a fantasy element for the story?

I think we can agree that dark Impulses is a sugar coated way to say "mentally ill and a borderline serial killer"

4 • Takemitchy and his friends

So, these so-called delinquents, constantly get their ass beaten but- for some reason can't protect themselves. Also, MC Takemitchy makes it his goal to be Toman's top member despite how weak he is.

The obvious solution to him and his friends' problems... Learn to fight, you dimwits? Wanna be Toman's top member, be strong enough for the title. Wanna be free from being absolutely destroyed by everyone you fight... Learn to fight, hit the gym, idk- something?

Literally don't understand why they don't do this pls.

5 • Senju

This is a little unpopular but, I hate Senju. She had SO much potential as a character but it was absolutely crushed.

She was considered one of the three deities but still couldn't beat her brother- Sanzu? And is revealed do be low-key weak cuz she was strengthened by her team's support- but a few chapters later we're talking about her being OP as heck and hiding her true strength? For what reason?

Plus, she feels like a filler character cuz she's so poorly written. Instead of making her strong and admirable she was made to just act so, when she really isn't the shit. It's very disappointing cuz I really thought her character could be so much better if it was just slightly tweaked.

6 • The Plot Was Dragged after Kisaki's Death

I think his death should have ended the story, it was the initial main goal and he really carried the plot. The story easily could have ended in a satisfying way at this point but of course Mikey needs therapy so he'll take the plot to hell until he gets it?

Would have been a great and relieving ending at this point.

7 • Kisaki's Boring Backstory

.. so, love huh?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME BRO. OF ALL THE POSSIBLE REASONS TO DO ALL THAT??

WASN'T HE LIKE, A CHILD??? WHY ARE YOU SUCH A SIMP? Pls his backstory was just, not giving what it was supposed to give.

So those are my main reasons for disliking Tokyo Revengers' storyline. No hate to Ken Wakui, I'm sorry if this offends anyone! The show is still fun to watch, just not for the plot. As I said before, most of the characters are really interesting and make the series worth watching/reading.

Also- imma predict the ending real quick cuz I think that Takemitchy and the second time leaper (that's probably Hanma) or some other important character are gonna activate the final time leap farrrr back and that's gonna fix everything completely and like half- if not all of the dead characters, will come back and everything will be great.

But I feel there's a 50/50 chance this ends in some tragedy, like everyone dies and Mikey survives, or quite the opposite where Mikey dies but everyone else survives and is happy.

Idk bro, we'll see.

has everything that one could want from a dogblood plot: shitty families, contract marriage, lies, vehicle accident leading to memory loss, wife-chasing---it's so nice, like a checklist getting fulfilled one at a time

gu jinyi is rly super pitiful 💀💀💀 like damn the guy is v mentally strong for what he's gone through. his family is shit enough to not care abt him n even wanted to sell him as a wife to a middle-aged man known to abuse his bed partners, he had a hereditary genetic disease that weakened his body so much that he had to resign from the military dept at school, fell into a love so passionate at his weakest point but then his partner left him, then he waited for said partner which lowered his chance for survival when undergoing the surgery, then when he got married it wasn't even for love but for his own protection, then his marriage partner died and he had to fend off for himself and his partner's child, then got picked up in a contract marriage orchestrated by the partner who left him and had wanted him back. like. he went through so much shit. and he was so so tired but he still tried his best.

tbh i was rly sad hearing him talk abt his past w "fu chen". how he loved him so much that all he wanted was to spend the rest of his ordinary days with him in a peaceful life. how he knew fu chen was going to leave him behind and yet he still waited for him. how he wanted to see fu chen before he went for surgery but the one he waited for never came. how this left such a large shadow over him that he thought he couldn't ever love anymore, because it would be unfair for his partner that he was so hung up over the lover who abandoned him, that he had exhausted all his love all those years ago. how he compared himself to a domesticated animal who could leave his home for good but would probably never belong to another for the rest of his life. the whole thing just broke my heart god authornim gu jinyi is so pitiful

xie huaizhou/"fu chen" deserves it all lmao serves him right to get pheromone deficiency disorder and to have missed gu jinyi all those years. like he wasn't the worst gong considering his circumstances and how gentle he was after the contract marriage but also?? shit??? idk i just thought gu jinyi's life is just way too sad.

i had emotional whiplash from "hnnnghgh xie huaizhou is so gentle and sweet towards gu jinyi, gu jinyi pls fall in love" to "holy shit i knew u were fu chen but hell!!!! do some wife-chasing!!!!! gu jinyi my poor sweet shou!!!!!!"

the side ship of albert/taotao was so bittersweet too. im glad they got their own happy ending bc they v v deserve it

Calista first tho!

Basic Stats: Calista (she/her), late 20's, nickname: Cal (NEVER Cali, unless you want to get stabbed). Bisexual badass.

Appearance: Black, wears her hair in locs that are braided to between her shoulder blades, head shaved on the sides. Dark brown eyes. Several scars across her body. Most visible is the one on her brow near her eye.

She's a thief and a smuggler whose main port is the city where Ashlin works now. (Still unnamed.) She was the daughter of traveling merchants who were killed by highway robbers when she was 7. She spent a few years in an orphanage, but things sucked there and the adults didn't give a rat's ass about the kids, so she ran away when she was 9. She was always clever as hell, so she took to thievery and living on the streets as well as you can as a child. As she got older she collected a little "crew" of younger kids that she looked out for and taught how to survive. Ash was one of those kids. When she was 17 she joined a smuggling ring and left the port city. At the age of 20 or 21 she split with those smugglers and started her own smuggling operation. It worked very similarly, but with one major difference. She was willing to smuggle people. If your situation was bad (abusive family/partner, huge debts, need a fresh start, whatever), she will get you to A) another city (where you have friends or family, or just a fresh start), B) a port city to get passage eslewhere, or C) across the border to a neighboring kingdom be it east or south.

She's a huge flirt and will flirt with anyone as easy as breathing, but it never goes any farther than that. She's not looking for relationship of any kind, be it casual or not, and doesn't enjoy hookups just for the hell of it. She's very charismatic and outgoing and makes friends wherever she goes. But the second you disrespect her or her friends, you're dead to her. She holds grudges and never forgets.

Bonus: She's friends with Theo's mothers, and thinks of them (Theo) as a sibling or cousin.

Hermes under the cut!!

Full name: Hermes (that's it) Fake Name: Lord Hermes Andino, Baron of Oraine. Real Name: Timotheus Straut (but he doesn't know that.) Age: unknown to himself (~26)

Appearance: Messy dark hair that falls below his ears, monolided brown eyes that sparkle when he smiles, often wearing eyeshadow and/or nail polish. Loves things that shine (he would love rhinestones and glitter, lmao.) Character: Bi disaster. Mischief maker. Chaotic comedian. Makes friends easily, but keeps everyone at a distance. Pretends he doesn't need or want anyone special in his life, but really just wants to feel like he belongs. Easygoing, friendly to everyone, no matter who they are. Deflects discomfort with humor.

He has no real memories of anything before the age of about 7 or so, but every once in a while he gets "phantom memories", a little bit like deja vu, where he feels like a memory is just out of reach, like a word on the tip of your tongue.

He got the name Hermes because of quick fingers and gift for lucky escapes. (yeah, it doesn't make sense for him to be named after a Greek god, but idk, it fits. Don't come after me.)

Some of his earliest memories include hiding fresh loaves of bread under his shirt as he books it out of the market square, the bread so hot it almost burns him.

Visiting Anvia more or less on a lark, because he wanted to see the world beyond Villecourt and Oraine in general, and also to see if he could con a Queen. (He takes risks for the hell of it, to be honest.)

Once started flirting with a young man only to find out he was the son of someone Hermes had robbed the night before. That was awkward.

Was shocked to see that Fallon actually cares about her people and doesn't just let them rot. (unlike the Empress of Oraine....) It gave him some hope that not everything is doomed. (Note to self: Share that scene!!)

Likes to always be doing something with his hands. Be it rolling a coin over his knuckles, fiddling with the collar of his shirt (not used to fancy clothes) or picking at something in front of him (unravelling fabric, chipping paint, etc.), his hands are always moving.

- he has non-ui eyes from kenta's flashback so he probably didn't have ui as a child. i feel that being a heir to the yakuza made him vulnerable to harm from rivals so he got attacked a lot? or yakuza elders probably made him fight to become "worthy"? anyways he was pushed into a state where he has to fight to survive/has to become the strongest beast in order to survive, hence the constant ui...

-ig his growing up was a bit screwed up, and he was required to be a "REAL MAN" as seen by all his "men's worth lies in the money they make", smoking, drinking and displaying sexual promiscuity (he's 18-19 and its heavily implied that he has slept around with women in Vs. GUN)

- he is mentioned to be the young master of the Yamazaki group (massively powerful yakuza) BUT instead of ruling his family in japan, he's merely a CEO'S daughter's bodyguard? either charles choi has serious dirt on him or gun is somehow indebted to charles choi...

- steve hong said that charles choi met someone (alluded to be gun) while his time as a janitor in prison... so maybe he observed gun rounding up and beating all the other convicts to pulp and recruited him as the fighting genius???

- gun is literally the "me and and my girl don't argue, she smash my head with a brick and i walk it off like a man" tweet as a person

- his type is probably someone who can just kill him

-Even during the quiz thing, when he almost kills you, you’re just sitting on the floor and awkwardly watching him as he throws a sissy fit

-Levi feels sort of conflicted with you because one one hand you’re good company and he loves having you around, you’re his Henry after all

-But on the other hand, you put yourself in so much danger it makes him paranoid so often to the point where he wants to keep you locked in his room and wrapped in bubble wrap

-Nearly had a heart attack when you almost walked right into a pit of lava like MC???? This isn’t one of his video games???? You’re not gonna respawn if you die????

-Besides all that, he gets a bit jealous of you confidence and your ability to just do whatever without fearing death or consequence

-“MC, how do you do it?”

-“Do what?”

-“How do you go about your life without a care in the world?”

-“I guess I’ll tell you my secret Levi. I’m not like other humans that’s why, I’m just so unique I do things differently.”

-“You sound like a pick me-“

-As long as you’re OK and not injured because of your carelessness, he’s indifferent about your behaviour and will even applaud you for your bravery when it comes to this sort of thing

-“lmao the human exchange student just dumped Solomon’s cooking in the trash while looking him dead in the eye 💀💀💀”

Satan:

-Your attitude towards DevilDom and demons in general kept him entertained, if nothing else

-You rarely seemed to consider how much of a threat that place really is and usually you were just running around, completely ignoring Lucifer’s rules and doing your own thing

-Which, you know, he’s all about

-I can’t say there were no incidents between the two of you

-With his short temper and your tendency to say things without caring about the consequences, there were definitely moments when he might’ve snapped on you

-“MC for goodness sake, what happened to my room?”

-“What do you mean?”

-“It’s an absolute mess! I just told you to bring me my spells and curses book, not mow through everything!”

-“It’s not my fault this place is built like a fucking labyrinth. You should be grateful I went to get it for you at all, I almost tripped and died several times on my way back. Also, you should get a new ladder for your shelves. It did the broken.”

-Other than the fact his anger takes over him when things like these happen, he not so subtly encourages you to keep going because seeing Lucifer scowl at your antics gets him wheezing his lungs out

-I like to think Satan would be very impressed, even in the beginning, at the amount of nonchalance you can radiate at times

-I mean, you sure as hell don’t see it often and he loves how unpredictable you are more often than not

-If anything, he should probably thank you-idk how, but his patience has increased significantly every since you got here and he appreciates having some more control of his emotions

-“I’m gonna go put oil in Lucifer’s shoes.”

-“Do you have a death wish?”

-“Satan, I am old enough to make my own decisions and I concluded that this action is necessary.”

-“Running from a bunch of demons. Who wanted to go munchy crunchy on me, I assume.”

-“Either that or people here are a lot friendlier than originally expected.”

-You can be such a handful and it really tests him, especially when he’s angry enough to begin with

-But despite your amazing talent at either getting completely lost around Hell, purposely walking into a prohibited place just because you felt like it or riling up others with how blunt you are, he still cares about you deeply

-You may be a pain the ass, but you’re his pain in the ass <3

Asmo:

-He should’ve known something was up with this particular human when you stood there, completely calm and collected, while Beel salivated at the thought of eating you on your first day

maybe it’s just me, but aren’t these people ... tired? they spend almost all their time going back and forth trying to run the clan, stay at the top, make sure they stay alive. don’t they ever wonder how exhausting it can all be?

Wen really has overcome all the obstacles in her life in such a quiet but resolute way, and it’s powerful.

yeah, this feels very real and terrifying and bewildering.

it also feels like a very typical “threaten a powerful man by kidnapping the women in his life” situation and it’s not a problem, obviously, but it’s still irritating. 

yeah, this is much better. Wen is released, as a misleading sign of cooperation, and Shae is with them because 1) she’s a Kaul by birth, I think they’d be far more inclined to hate her, and 2) as the Weather Man (and the one who decided to expand to Shotar), she’s the one who’s likely to have more information, which is more valuable to them. And Wen’s brilliant to have figured that out.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?

Can I just say, I adore that what made these two assholes ally was Shae. The one who’s affected both their lives, in such different ways.

god, this ... is haunting. The clans used to being at the very top - invincible and indomitable. Now they’ve taken a huge hit, both in terms of their clans, but also in terms of their psyches. The Weather Man of No Peak was kidnapped and tortured like it was nothing. Ayt Mada, who flaunted her strength, now requires bodyguards to ensure it for her. For the first time, Shae is noticing Hilo’s silver hair. The years are going by, times are changing, it’s all different, and yet their love remains.

“What will I do? My job. As Weather Man of No Peak.” FUCK YES

although it is quite irritating that Shae and Wen have pretty much gotten the same arcs. This book isn't too great when it comes to its female characters - it kills and sidelines too many of them.

Ru is still a sweetheart, and should definitely pursue public policy like he wants to.

Jirhu has my complete respect. He’s his own person with a life that’s completely seperate from the clan drama, so it’s very refreshing and relaxing to see.

Did I mention that I adore Tia? She’s warm and artistic and full of life, the radiant young child of the family.

although I do think that she’s more of a caricature than a character, especially when you look at how her brothers both got complex arcs with internal conflicts, while Jaya, while definitely having emotional depth, is still the generic “cool action girl” trope rather than a fully realized person in her own right. Like I said, this series isn't too great with its female characters.

Eren’s body laid limp in the cart, the dozens of titans ran closer and closer towards the horses. You saw Jean sitting breathless to the side, his soft eyes looking at the success of having Eren but the failure of bringing about Ymir. You watched the titans bombard through the trees, you would never make it out, you knew it, the people between you and titans getting smaller and smaller each time they killed someone.

You watched; eyes fixated at how close they were. There was little chance of success, you turned to Jean seeing him look with fear at the approaching titans. “I’m sorry, Jean.” At the sound of those two simple words he watched as you leapt out of the cart, using your gear to have a hold onto the trees, the titans that were just about to grab the cart were cut down by you. 

“Y/n, no, Y/n, get back here right now.” He shouted back at you, ready to join you but had seen how you had picked and fiddled with his gear. “For fucks sake Y/n, get back here now.” He watched at how the distance between you both grew. 

“I love you.” It was inaudible, he probably never even heard it, but he saw your mouth move, saw the words flow out of your mouth, tears welling in his eyes.

He sobbed, “Y/n...please.”

They had watched how you jumped out, how you had risked your life for it all, for them. Tears welled up through their eyes but all you could see was titans, their figures getting smaller at how the titans had congregated to you. You would die saving your friends and that was all you truly wanted to do.

“Y/n, wake up.” The sound of Reiner’s hand moved to your shoulder shaking you awake. You sat upright in bed, tears having pricked down your face, you watched the grown man sitting beside your bed, looking down at your smaller frame. 

“Nightmare.” He mutters seeing you wipe the tears away; you give a nod not meeting his gaze. “What was it?”

“About our past.” If all you murmured out, how could you tell him, 4 years later that you were still hung up on Jean. How you missed the boy and the future you two could’ve had, how you hated being in Liberio, how you wish he had left you for dead outside the walls. 

How dare he make the decision to bring you along, his stupid crush of you had gotten in the way? Even Zeke knew that and here you were in his house, where him and his family lived, acting like his lover, acting like you were another Eldian like them. You hated it, Reiner’s emotions got the better of him, you and him both knew that, and seeing the hatred the people outside the walls had for you, made you resent this hell hole. 

“Y/…” Before Reiner could even say anything, his mother’s voice had interrupted.

“Reiner, Y/n, are you both awake?” You hated her, hated her voice, her face, the way she called you all devils, you hated her. You would never grow to love her, you had hoped to have had a fake breakup with the boy, but the realisation you had nobody had dawned on you a couple years back and here you were. Still in his bedroom, sleeping beside him, you hated him even more than you hated his mother.

The disgust that you had at having to be near him, to have to pretend to be in love when all you wanted to do was slit his throat. Slit his family's throat, even his cousin who’s whole purpose stemmed from killing your people. She may have been a child, you knew she was a kid, but sometimes you just wished you could strangle that piece of shit. 

“I’ll wait for you outside.” Reiner muttered, seeing how you barely even looked at him. He remembered the first time meeting you, he, himself knew that he shouldn't have gotten infatuated with you. But at the sight of seeing you lay limply he had to take you home, care for you but all you had for him was aggression. 

You both barely talked now, the years hurting you both, he had gone off straight to the war with the Mid-East, forcing you to come and stay in the military base. He knew you'd hate it, but still you were made to stay. You wished he had just taken you back into the walls, but he was a selfish prick. 

You wore the trousers and shirt, having refused to wear the dresses that had been forced onto you. You didn’t care, the stupid armband around your shoulder that Zeke had gotten for you, it was an ugly thing. 

Reiner had told you about the festival in a couple days, you didn't want to attend, it seemed a bore. I'd much rather go out on your own, but the glare he had given in front of his mother had made you reluctantly agree. 

Stepping outside, Reiner glazed his eyes across your frame, even though he knew he didn't love you. He knew you had no feelings for him, and his teenager crush had made him bring you along when he should've left you to die. He couldn't confess it though, the risk of being found out would make his mother be turned into a titan and left to wander the land of Paradis. He watched you comb your fingers through your hair, a tired sad look on your face. 

“I’ve got to go meet Zeke today…”

“I’m going on a walk.” You mutter not caring about what he did in his day, he would never be the boy you had trained with, the boy you had fought alongside with. He just never would, and he had the exact same feelings towards you.

He nodded looking down, even with the boy of you growing in the years, you both retained some part of you from Paradis. A necklace clinging around your neck that you had refused to take off in these years. The one thing you had from Jean, you remember his face when he saw it and how he bought it with so much ease. How he moved your hair, kissing your shoulder with his tender lips and put it across your neck. 

The feeling of his lips and fingers would never return to you, you'd never see his face again. The face you had been through hell and back with, he would never see you, never know if you survived. Maybe you did regret fighting those titans, but the look and fear Jean had had sent an urge to protect him through you. 

Reiner’s mother gave a smile which you faked back at her, she spoke about her plans for the day and how Gabi had offered to come and help her in her free time from training. You hoped they’d both have an accident falling into the river, giving a nod, you spoke about needing to buy some stuff yourself but on the other side of town. It was easy to get away from the family, easy to walk away with your coat and shoes and leave with a tamed step.

There was always the fear of being caught, fear that you weren't an Eldian or even human. You had had those recurring dreams for the past four years, every day reliving a moment from your past. You wondered about your family, how they were, how your friends were and captain Levi. You wondered about Jean, what he looked like now, if he had become the leader you had praised him for being. 

You kicked a stone walking down the alleyway into the main street, gaining a breath of air. You scoured through the stalls and shop windows, it may be a disgusting place to be in with the humid air and ugly people. But it was a home for these people, a home that you wished to destroy. The sound of Eldians shopping in the district filled the air, you stopped beside a newspaper stand, looking at the new news of the day. Another piece of indoctrination, you smiled at the stall owner, putting on an act as you wanted to light the newspapers on fire.

A cold wash of air hit the back of your neck, you ignored the sensation, moving to the side for the person to get past. “Sorry.” If all the man muttered, you didn't look at his face, instead putting your hair up to stop the heat from attacking you even further. You couldn't see his face even if you had looked, the fedora covering half his face.

He looked down at you, watching as your fingers moved through your hair. He barely caught a glimpse of your face before catching the glint of the silver around your neck. The silver necklace with the rose pendant around it, the flower that he had bought the girl he had lost all those years ago. Trying to meet your eye, he knew it couldn't be you, you died, your body eaten up by the titans, but even then, he followed you as you left. Watching each turn you took, thinking that he was being coy about it all until he heard you stop in front of a boy. 

“Y/n, what are you doing so far out?” The boy spoke to you, Falco was a nice kid, better than Gabi any day but he had the same ideals in him. The same hatred for your people, how could you ever feel bad for him when he never considered your people’s feelings. 

That name, the name of his first love, the name of the woman he lost. But it couldn't be, the man kept at it, watching you converse with Falco before the boy ran off. “Are you going to keep following me then?” You finally spoke directed to the man, you still could barely see his face, but he could see yours now. As clear as day, you were his girl, his first love, his everything.

“You’r...you’re alive.” He stuttered still with caution, still vary of how you were even alive. He removed the fedora, meeting your gaze, you stared up at the man and you just knew you had been saved.

“Jean.” You whispered, he nodded before you ran up to him, his arms out as your body hit his own. Tears welling up in your eyes, as you sobbed to him, the way he soothed you, his hand in your hair. 

“Y/n, it’s really you, right?” He whispered softly, you nodded feeling his own tears prick down his face. “You’re really here?”

“I’m really here, Jean, wh...what are you doing here?” You whisper letting go of him, he had grown, the hairs across his chin were a lot clearer and his hair had grown. 

He met your own gaze, even if you were older, there was no showing it, you looked like the girl who had risked her life to save the scouts. “I...wait.” He met your gaze, “what are you doing here? Ar...are you one of them?”

“God no, Jean, I promise you know who I am, I’m one of you, you’ve met my parents and they weren’t from him, please believe me, I'll explain what happened, we just need to go somewhere safe.” You rambled out; Jean nodded putting his hand out. 

You took it with so much ease, it was unlike the times Reiner had put his hand for you and you reluctantly agreed. This time you were with the man you loved, the man who had finally found you. He led you past the allies and through the streets before arriving at a building, it looked more or less abandoned, but the lights were on and people were inside.

“This is gonna be a shock.” He whispers, you give a smile up to him, he had missed that smile of yours. The cheery grin you always had with your plump lips and soft touch you had with him.

He opened the door, leading to silence. “Jean did you bring the f…” Sasha stopped mid-sentence, all eyes fell onto you, even Hanje and Levi were in shock at you. “Y/n.”

“Sasha.” You whispered.

“You’re alive.” She ran up to you, tears brimming her eyes on her best friend being alive, hugging your frame as you hugged back happily. “But how, what are you doing here?”

She had let you go, allowing for you to breathe, “captain before you say anything, I’m not one of them.” 

You knew the glare Levi had given you, having seen it often all those years ago. But you had to prove your story, Jean led you inside letting you sit in front of both Hanje and Levi. Both having been silent after the interaction, “explain then.” Levi spoke coldly even if Jean was wary, he trusted your word.

“Let me save her, please Zeke.” Reiner’s voice boomed from the outskirts of the wall, you were listening into the conversation, after nearly being eaten by a titan, Reiner having swooped in. Your body leant against him as he tried to persuade Zeke.

Zeke looked cynical, the stupid boy having gotten a crush so easily and now using it against him, “leave her to die.”

“Zeke, for fucks sake, I won't carry out this mission until we keep her safe.” Zeke knew the risk of this, he took a sharp breath before nodding, Bertholdt could barely even look at you. Memories flashing through his head of your past together. All you could remember after that was being placed inside a cart, a blanket placed on top as you fell into a deep slumber.

These gaps in your memory had been a torment for you, the fact even Reiner refused to tell you what happened made you think the failure would fuel your hatred even more.

The sound of waves crashing was the first thing you heard, the sight of the sea. The sea that Armin had rambled out to both you and Jean months ago. “Finally awake.” You squealed your head hurting at the sight of Reiner meeting you, you had been lying against the ship, the salty air engulfing your lungs.

“Reiner, stay away from me.” You shouted ready to fight him, your hands up, but you had nothing to fight with. A one-to-one combat with him would be a sure win for him and he looked tired even. 

“Y/n, sit down, I’ll explain it all.” And that's what he did. He explained his past, Marley’s and the story of the walls. It felt like lies but having seen the sea now you knew it was the truth and after he had finished speaking you felt even more on edge.

“You haven't told her the best part yet?”

You looked up to meet a blonde hair man, his thick blonde beard and glasses encased his eyes. “Who the fuck are you?”

“Zeke Yeager.” That surname, you recognised it, you gave a hostile look as he continued speaking, “Eren’s older brother and the beast titan. Go on tell her then.”

“We...were taking you to Marley.” Your eyes widened.

You pushed him away from you, his arms having moved to comfort you, “You...you could've just let me go, let me stay within the walls, why Reiner? Why?”

“I had to protect you.” He whispered.

“Protect me, bullshit Reiner, i...I’m never going to see Jean again thanks to you.” Reiner’s grip moved to your face; he held your jaw tightly as you squealed at the pain.

“Jean never loved you, I do.” It was an inaccurate statement, but tears had welled up in your eyes before he let go, leaving you on the ground. 

You looked between the disgusted faces of your comrades; the way Jean’s jaw clenched at hearing what Reiner had said to you. How you had had to live with him and his mother, be around these people who hated you. He hated how you had had to share a bed with Reiner, act like you were in love with him. He hated how Reiner had stripped away four years of love for both you and Jean.

“We should’ve looked harder for you.” Hanje muttered lowly, you gave a small smile shaking your head.

“No, I knew what I was getting into when I went to go fight those titans, you guys thought I died. Hell even I thought I had died.” Mikasa puts a hand to your shoulder as you smile up at the girl, they all had changed, and they had realised you had as well. 

“We should explain why we’re here.” She spoke as you nodded all turning to Levi.

Levi looked down at you, he shook his head before speaking, “Eren…” By the end of his explanation you had been caught up to date on everything, knowing about Eren’s will and the letters he had been making Falco send for weeks now. “...this leads me to ask Y/n, are you still a part of the survey corps?”

You stared at your captain, taking a sharp breath, “I better have one of these cool black uniforms.” Sasha and Connie both smiled brightly at your comment, even Levi shook his head, you could almost see his upper lip twitch, but he had stopped himself. 

“One of the spares should fit you Y/n.” Hanje spoke aloud, in a matter of half an hour the plan had been explained and your job to remain normal before leaving just before the speech that would occur at the festival. “Welcome back Y/n.” 

You had gained everything that had been taken away from you, gained happiness and your love back. Jean had been quiet since you're welcome back, walking up to him and grabbing his hand softly as you gestured for him to follow you into an empty room. 

“I missed you Y/n.” You smiled at the boy, moving your body closer to his taller frame.

“I still love you Jean, I never stopped, every night I’d imagine it was you beside me.” You confessed, he looked down at your face. The same pretty eyes that filled with so much love, his hand moving to cup your cheek. On instinct, your face nuzzling into it, he softly brought his face down to meet yours, only a mere inch away from his own.

“I love you.” He whispered before capturing your lips on his own, his soft palm holding your face as his lips moved with yours, his tongue gliding inside with so much love and care. It was a happiness that you hadn't felt in years now, a happiness that could only be brought about by the love of your life. You had forgotten what it felt to be loved and now here you were, kissing the man you thought you’d never see again.

BnHA Chapter 296: Ngl, This One Pissed Me Off

Previously on BnHA: Deku was all, “p.s. I actually activated yet another quirk several chapters ago when Kacchan got stabbed.” Compress was all, “[gets captured and passes out].” Spinner was all “[rifles through Tomura’s pockets and slaps a random Charbroiled Hand onto his friend’s unconscious face].” Tomura was all, “SOMEHOW THAT ACTUALLY WORKED” and woke up again, except it wasn’t really him, it was everyone’s favorite Final Villain, AFO. AFO was all, “time to escape finally” and summoned a bunch of Noumu and Absconded with Spinner and the DabiMarble in tow. Skeptic was all, “Horikoshi forgot I existed, but I’m actually Absconding in marble-form as well.” Deku was all, “ATTENTION WORLD, I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE THAT I OFFICIALLY WANT TO SAVE SHIGARAKI TOMURA.” And then the arc just sort of ended lol.

Today on BnHA: Horikoshi is all, “but when you think about it, do we really need literally any female teachers at U.A. at all?” and for whatever reason doesn’t stop to wait for an answer. Midnight, who absolutely did not need to die, Dies, and I’m pissed about it. Ochako wanders the ruins of Jakku for what feels like hours, rescuing small children while her adult hero compatriots fall to pieces around her, because apparently the U.A. kids really are the only people who have their shit together. The citizens of Japan are all “damn that’s wild, wonder how fucked we are now,” but are actually super casual and chill about it which is oddly realistic. The chapter ends with AFO in Tartarus being all “lol time for the prison break arc,” without giving us so much as a chance to catch our breath, like holy shit. Are we on the clock or something now, goddamn.

lmao it’s like 7pm on a Sunday night and this is out already. this is like the worst possible timing lol. there goes my nice, relaxed evening. unless of course this turns out to be a nice, restful, soothing chapter, as chapters coming on the heels of traumatic, earth-shattering battles so often are. yeah, break out the Pina Colada song and the little drink umbrellas, I got a good feeling about this one

I wasn’t happy about Midnight’s death and I wanted to convey that, and so I went with my usual LOUD CAPSLOCK REACTION tone, but looking back on it I can see that it’s kind of a lot, lol.

ngl I am kind of heartened to see that not everyone fell for Dabi’s bs hook line and sinker though. Jeanist returning from the dead literally two seconds after Dabi was all “I SWEAR ON MY HONOR AS A VILLAIN THAT HAWKS MURDERED HIM” probably helped with that a bit! but there will doubtless be many other people who do believe him, or are at least still inclined to side-eye the heroes in general either way given how much they sucked in this arc. very, very interesting

so it seems though that even more than the whole Endeavor reveal, at the end of the day it’s going to be the heroes failing to live up to their end of the “put your faith in us and let us use our quirks and in return we’ll protect everyone and keep them safe” implied social contract that’s going to have the biggest impact on people’s opinions moving forward. basically this was always going to be a disaster no matter what

Midnight died. we spent ten hours watching Ochako dig people out of rubble for no apparent reason and were then introduced to my new least favorite character, and because Ochako is so nice she didn’t even punch him in the face even though she really should have. we did not get any Kacchan or Shouto. we got one panel of Deku, who is Finally Asleep. and the chapter ended with AFO ordering his Noumus to go set free, AND I QUOTE, HIS “MAIN BODY.” and now I gotta wait an entire week for Caleb’s translation to confirm that last part. omg

but it sounds like a prison break is imminent, which is very, very interesting. ...and actually, is it weird that I’m actually rooting for it to be a success? I have no idea what this guy is planning, but I do know that as long as the main part of his soul is still residing in Tomura’s body, Tomura’s chance of surviving the series is close to zero. and villain though he may be, I’m still rooting for his redemption (nice to have Deku on my side now too), and so yeah. so like if AFO feels like using some latent Exorcism Quirk or something that he’s been saving for just such an occasion, be my guest lol
