ok 1. sorry for decapitating your ask like this, i DID read the whole thing dw and 2. I imagine in the Republic, Jedi had a pretty well-rounded schooling, like most of it DEFINITELY focused on force and jedi stuff but come on you've gotta know maths and physics for all that wild force shit and do literature and history to understand ppl n cultures.
the new jedi order is at a disadvantage bc it's made up of 3 ppl who dropped out of school ages 17 (whose education got shitted by war), 12-13, and 7 respectively and only one guy who actually finished school -- and he went to school on Tatooine of all places. I imagine a visiting Leia, who had the best tutors/went to the fanciest schools on Alderaan, is probably the one to be like hey this is a school you guys-- are you guys teaching them like, stuff that isn't weird force techniques and immediate survival skills?? please say they know maths and literature outside of jedi texts?? which probably devolves into "Cal Ahsoka and Ezra have to sit there while Leia tries to teach them basic high school classes"

I thought this might provide some solidarity and maybe tickle you, and by tickle I mean make you sigh as you contemplate how humans are worldwide.
The minister of education in my country (equivalent to the secretary of education in the US) only finished third preparatory (9th grade). His high school degree, bachelor's degree, and post-graduate degrees have been proven to be fake, including official responses from the US university where he claims to have got his post-graduate degree.
His mom owns a series of expensive schools in the country, and is the daughter of an important name in the military, and she (idiotically? or wisely because she KNOWS no one can touch her? I don't know) threatened the lawyer heading the case against her son that if he doesn't back down she will put the lawyer and everyone on his side "in sacks" (meaning dead bodies in our language).
Isn't it insane? She threatened him via text, which he can PROVE. He is suing her of course (in addition to her son) but man. The sheer... what, audacity?
I mean, yes, I know power breeds corruption, but like... if you're lauded all over the country as Nermeen Ismail the Mother of Generations of Egyptian kids who graduated from your school, shouldn't you be a little smarter than threatening a lawyer via text that he can hang onto and use against you?
The only reason someone like me, a hardworking single mom of two who barely has time to follow the news, knows about this, is because the first thing this minister did as soon as he was appointed was come after the kids studying IGCSEs, the international version of the UK high school degree, which most of us in Egypt can BARELY afford but choose over the corruption in grading Egyptian high school degrees, where it's common for kids from important families to be given the grades other normal folk worked hard for.
So we all signed up with the lawyer who was threatened to file a lawsuit against the unfair changes the minister enforced on our kids, and that's why we're paying so much attention to him and the ridiculous minister appointed by our equally ridiculous ignorant dictator.
Equally hilarious? Egyptians who are lapping up antivax trends as gospel coming from the enlightened Western world, and ridiculing those of us who try to tell them and explain and show with proof that antivaxxers are the scourge NOT the enlightened part of the Western world? Those very same people are NOW deciding to practise some healthy skepticism towards... everything our lawyer says.
Most of the comments are like, "Why is everyone coming for the minister? Must be because he's a good man working hard to reform education."
It seems humans are morons everywhere. They will only believe nonsense and distrust facts. Sigh.
So. Yeah. We have another Trump here I guess. And aren't humans weird? Sorry about the long post! Thank you for the entertaining and often really informative blog. <3

Hello kind people reading my blog.
I know I previously haven't written much, however I have a mini series in my draft that I wrote in the name of English practice (it wasn't).
It's about Remus Lupin and how he gradually fell in love with my OC, and Lily Evans twin sister, Rose Evans.
I have it prepared and am willing to share it with y'all if you're willing to read it. I am currently preparing for my IGCSE and figured it's of great help to practice through tumblr stories and thus here I am.
So, uh, anyone here who wants to read it?

Pre-med Results
It has obviously been a hot minute since A level results have been out. However, I thought writing in general about my O level results, A level results and other exam results would be the best way to start this little blog of mine. I will also take this opportunity to introduce myself a little.
During o levels, i wasn't exactly hard working. I had gotten burnt at some point during grade 8 and a personal experience in graded 9 pushed me further away from my studies. I do intend to go into those details some time in the future. For now, I will stick to my study methods and the results this gave me. Despite my lack of interest in studies during this time, I always paid attention in class. I was that girl who would maintain eye contact with the teacher, mostly because it helped me stay present. I did not have many friends and that definitely aided me in staying focused. I did have a few crushes on boys but this did not really affect my studies as I did not talk to them. I might go into more detail about this later. The memories are pretty funny when I look back. Anyways, luckily I did not do too bad on my exams. I got A*s in Chemistry, Biology, Math, Computer Science, English and Physics IGCSEs. I got As in Dhivehi and Islam SSCs.
My grades during O Levels were not perfect. I had not reached my goals. I had thought that that was to be expected as I had not tried as hard as other people my age, and promised myself to try harder in the following years.
My A levels started off to a good start. I was implementing methods which worked for me as well as avoiding methods I had tried and found not to work. In hindsight, some of my goals were pretty unrealistic and I believe that played a key role in my diminishing motivation and discipline. However, I remember feeling embarrassed when people would see me working hard and studying. Other people did not seem to be working as hard and this made me feel insecure. Gradually, I stopped studying completely and lost track of all my assignments. Talk about peer pressure huh. This also happened to be a point in time where I was dealing with a huge identity crisis and this only added to my stress. In the end, I got pretty good grades, but far from what I had hoped for. I got As in Chemistry and Biology A levels and a B in Math A level. I also got 2 As in Dhivehi and Islam HSCs. This was really unfortunate for me as in my country those who got all As received a full government scholarship to study in quite literally wherever they chose. Regardless, the B in math was deserved, I would say, as I had been a careless student.
After many tears, I decided not to dwell too much on the past. My parents and I went to a higher education fair where we spoke to a few medical schools in Malaysia. Namely, NUMed, Cyberjaya and MSU. I ended up really loving NUMed and MSU was a close 2nd. I was advised by all of them to take the IELTS and so I did, and recently received my results. I got an overall 8.0. (Listening: 8.5, Reading: 8.5, Writing: 7.0, and speaking 8.5)
I will be writing about my experience applying to medical schools as well as more soon so make sure to follow me!

My totally serious guide to solving quadratic equations ✨
Sorry not sorry
I don't feel like writing rn, I feel like doing math🥰 so come
(Note = I used to take IGCSE Additional math and ext math soooo i hope this hepls if ur taking the same thing LOL)
(also pls don't unfollow i promise i wont be a full math blog 😔)
EXAMPLE =
x² + 4x + 4 = 0
ax² + bx + c
So as you can see there is a secret, hidden 1 in front of the x² so that will be our a value. For the b value you can get it in front of the x which is 4 and lastly the c is the number at the end with no variable so its 4.
TLDR; a = 1, b = 4, c = 4
Tumblr media
So I usually make a big X thing and i put the product of a and c at the top and put the b value at the bottom. Like the pic above ig
So the product of a and c is 4 x 1 so it's 4 and then the b is just 4 so its 4.
THEN we gotta find 2 numbers that can be added to become 4 and mutliplied to become 4
SO it has to be like this (pretend the numbers are m and n)
m + n = 4
m × n = 4
So now we gotta do guess and check, I usually try to find the factors of the product, the one we have rn is 4 so
Factors of 4 are 1, 2 and 4
So let's try to find it! Let's try to check if 4 and 1 can.
1 + 4 = 5 ❌ <- doesn't add up to 4
2 + 2 = 4 ✅ <- adds up to 4
So now we just put it into the factors thing, Your answer should be (x+2)(x+2) or (x+2)²
BUT WAIT We're not done yet!
We gotta find x
So since it's (x+2) multiplied by (x+2) that means x + 2 = 0
and we just solve algebraically
x + 2 = 0
x = -2
So there's your answer
OR You could always use the

First post!!! (An intro)
My online name is Saheira-- Heira for short. I'm an IGCSE student studying science subjects along with history and computer science, and due to write next year.
I love animals in general, but cats the most! My favourite colour is dark green. My favourite book series is Harry Potter, and my Hogwarts house is Slytherin. The internet aesthetics I follow most are chaotic academia, STEM Academia and Green Academia.
I love reading, writing (when I'm NOT frustrated at my characters and my scraps of plots, anyway), daydreaming, listening to music, talking to my friends, scrolling Pinterest and Tumblr, and learning new things.
I started this blog as a personal blog, where I will just vent or share little things that inspire me, and maybe even tidbits of my writing, such as extracts and poems. I expect that most of the posts will be me venting/rambling but we shall see!!
I'm quite new to blogging in general, so if I make any mistakes, please let me know, and I will try to improve.
Let me tell you in advance that there is no guarantee that I will post regularly. You may hear me consistently for days and then I could disappear for a month, though I promise to try to post regularly.
ANYWAY, that was a long first post. I hope I don't end up being a bore, and I hope that you all (if there is anyone) have a great day/night!!
