- Imagine going to your f/o for comfort after seeing that it's going to storm. They know how riled up you get when it storms, so they open their arms wordlessly, letting you crawl into their lap and find your comfort in their arms. They rub slow, soothing circles on your back, letting you stay as long as you need.

- Imagine building a pillow fort together. A good, solid fort, with walls and a roof and comfy cushions to sleep on. A fort that hides the lightning shining through the curtains, hides the flickering lights, and appeals to your instinct to squeeze yourself into a tight space til the storm passes. The both of you curl up in the fort, tangled in each other's arms, sleeping through it all.

- Imagine going over your storm plan with your f/o, reiterating what to do if it gets bad. You've got flashlights and batteries tucked away in the safest part of your home. You have a plan for where to go, what to do, all the stops. The planning helps soothe your nerves. Even if it gets bad, you and your f/o have a plan, you're prepared, you know what to do.

- Imagine your f/o talking logic to you. There's only so much space a storm can hit, and there's so little of the two of you. It'll probably miss you.

-If it is going to hit your area, well, it won't be that bad. What, some rain ? wind ? You've been through that before. They know you can do it again, especially when you're together.

- Besides, you and them have a plan. No matter what, you two are prepared.

- Imagine going on a walk the morning after a storm. The air smells like rain, and there's branches on the ground from the wind. The sky has cleared, and the temperature is perfect. There's a sort of tranquility in it, isn't there ? Side by side with your f/o you clean up downed branches and blown-away lawn decorations together, feeling a sense of calm wash over you.
