Eddie falls in love with Latter the same way he falls in love with Frank, in a way. Of course there's differences, they're different people after all! But what I'm focusing on is: Frank sees Eddie, Latter listens. (not saying Frank doesn't listen to him, trying to be poetic lol)

Latter is genuinely interested in the things Eddie has to say, appreciates and praises how hardworking he is even if he's not there to see it, and encourages his creativity! Even if he's not there in person, Eddie knows Latter cares.

Eddie knows Frank cares through actions. Frank brings him a glass of water, saves him from the beetle, and offers him an umbrella. Frank sees the hard work Latter hears about and acts. While Latter will verbally acknowledge and praise him for it over the phone or in a letter.

Eddie Realizes he's fallen for Latter when he finds himself rereading the suddenly not so subtle love poems and day dreaming. Eddie's not oblivious to love, he knows when he's in love and it hits him like truck! Then like two trucks when he realizes those feelings also apply to Frank!

I’ve had skip to loafer on the brain lately and this one’s been marinating for a bit, but hear me out: aro Mitsumi.

Bear with me (manga spoilers ahead)

Firstly I know Shima has been headcannoned as aromantic (or arospec) by a lot of the fandom- and I do agree btw- but aro Mitsumi is slept on.

Are you telling me this is how she fantasies abt romantic confessions:

‘But OP’, you say. ‘She has a crush on Shima- how can she be aromantic?’

Firstly, there’s a spectrum of aromantism. She could be demiro, grayro, or another variation of the aromantic spectrum. A lot of these account for exceptions or other feelings of attraction outside of romance.

Moving on, from the start of her ‘catching feelings’ we’re introduced to the idea of having a crush through her best friend, Fumi. Whenever she has any sort of particular breakthroughs in understanding her feelings, it’s through Fumi talking about her own romantic experiences.

This is not to say Fumi is incorrect in how she descirbes romance, but often ppl who don’t experience romantic attraction struggle to distinguish what romantic feelings are in comparison to other types of feelings/attraction. This, coupled with the fact that even things that can be labelled ‘romantic’ vary from person to person, and the complexity that comes with that, means Mitsumi could have entirely mislabelled her feelings bc there’s no ‘non-romantic’ explanation for them.

In addition, the way she approached her relationship ending was another thing for me imo. The feelings were one part, but she also said she didn’t want to stress out about it with everything else in her life going on.

Obviously she still cares for Shima a great deal, and was mature and responsible in how she decided on/approached breaking up. But as someone who grew up saying ‘i don’t have time for relationships when i have so many goals i want to achieve- romance would be too stressful’… her goals respectively give her a convenient ‘out’ to developing a romantic relationship.

This out of hers allows her to not pay mind to romance, and we can see this play out through events with the student council. Ppl see her and Ujiie, and immediately make romantic assumptions about them. However, she’s oblivious to any of that, until it all hits her at once and she PANICS.

Ofc, we know it’s immediately dismissed by the narrative, and Mitsumi has always been oblivious. But I think it’s interesting how, specifically, her ignorance to amatonormativity is so blantantly presented to us after the break up.

Even with all of that though, I also want to mention that the way she cares about Shima is, awfully familiar to the way Shima does Mitsumi (aside from his specific complexity of recognising his own emotions). I think, if we are going to say Shima can like Mitsumi aromantically, that it’s only fair to say the other way around too.

In conclusion, aro Mitsumi is a valid reading.

"What?" You answered very confused

"In a...romantic way?" He tried explaining it to you thinking thats the part you didn't understand.

"I mean...I would love to but you dont have to push yourself if it would make you feel uncomfortable" you answered while you put your book down slowly on the coffee table.

"Uncomfortable? Why would it make me uncomfortable we are close are we not?"

Now he got confused as well.

"Well because...your ace and/or aro?"

"What is with that word, Rosie said it as well and the meaning of it still avoids me" he answered starting to get annoyed by his lack of understanding.

"What- ohhhh what did you say when did you die?"

"No" Answered Alastor a bit fast. He has made up his mind. He might not be interested in a sexual relationship however he really wanted to kiss you right now.

"It might be true that I have not known this so far in my life or death, and you did make me realize some things about myself, but even so my offer still stands."

"Oh? Are you sure because I only want to if it doesn't make you uncom-"

You couldn't get the rest of your sentence out due to a pair of lips on yours.

Alastor kissed you.

You were stunned for a second but after you realized what was happening you kissed back immediately.

His lips were surprisingly soft, not to mention he did pretty good looking at the fact that it was his first kiss.

"Trust me, dear, If something would make me uncomfortable I wouldn't do it." He said grinning and holding your chin after you two parted.

You were a blushing mess.

You've never thought about Alastor that way, since you thought he was aromantic. But now that you did, fucking god, you like him.

Whit that thought in mind you kissed him again.

This time you stood up and he put his hands on your waist while yours were on his neck.

John Dory comes to check out Mount Rageous

As he makes his way through the ventilation he hears crying- but it doesn’t sound like Floyd so he moves on (a bit guiltily)

Once he finds Floyd (and lands face first on the dresser)

John Dory groaned as he pulled himself off the floor in a hurry “Yo! Floyd!”

Floyd looked up from his lap as his eyes widened “John dory? I cant believe it!” Floyd pressed his hands against the wall of his prison “I never thought I’d see any of my brothers again”

John Dory smiled before pressing his hand up to the glass in confidence

“Don’t worry bro I’m gonna get you out of here”

“No! You need to get out of here!” Floyd said urgently “you don’t understand- Velvet and Veneer are giant, pop obsessed succubi with NO talent and they’ve been stealing mine and Y/n’s- it’s only a matter of time now until they come back for more!”

John Dory thought to himself “Y/n? Like our old manager and childhood best friend Y/n? But- why did they take her?”

Floyd sighed to himself, misplaced guilt eating at him a bit “when you guys left, she followed me and after a bit we ended up confessing-“

“So she’s here?” John Dory said looking around, “I don’t see her anywhere!”

“She got taken by Velvet- as like a personal back up! I don’t know where she is- but if shes having her talent drained she won’t last as long, she isn’t a trained singer JD! I’m worried”

“Don’t worry bro- I’ll get both of you out-!”

JD tried many tricks to try and crack the prison his brother was in but to no luck

“It’s made out of diamond- and there’s only one thing that’s strong enough to shatter diamond” Floyd hoped his brother got the clue-

“A diamond shattering diamond hammer! Where do we get one of those?”

It went way over his head

“No, the only thing strong enough to shatter diamond is the perfect family harmony” Floyd said giving his brother a look of humour

“Of course! The prefect family harmony!”

Floyd nodded looking at his brother with tired but hopeful eyes until-

“Our voices sound like GARBAGE! We need more TROLL!”

“Run John Dory- save yourself” Floyd urged, not wanting to get his brother captured

John Dory nodded, grappling back to the vent and shouting that he’d be back with the rest of the family

During the rescue mission you’re nowhere to be found

Floyd’s theory is correct and you are drained far to quickly-

You turn into a crystal troll just before the rage dome show

Velvet decides to put you in her pocket like a little good luck charm

The perfect family harmony works and shatters the diamond perfectly

Floyd thinking of you as he sings the last line

“Just let me take you to a better place!”

When he wakes up from his crystal form and has a moment with his brothers he looks around and doesn’t see you anywhere

“John Dory, where’s Y/n?”

Everybody starts looking around not being able to see you

Not even Crimp knows where you are

“Velvet! Where’s the other troll? The one you took as a backup?” Veneer said, after confessing that they were frauds

“Oh her? She drained far to fast so I gave her another use” velvet stated- pulling you out of her pocket “she’s my little good luck charm- though she didn’t work so she’s useless to me now”

Floyd gasped, tears finally spilling over as he takes in your completely crystallised form in shock

“No… Nononono”

Veneer snatches you off velvet and hands you to the group of trolls on the floor with remorse

“Y/n? Come on- this cant be happening!”

Floyd brings you into a hug- sobbing as he realises there’s no hope for you

You, though crystallised, can hear everything around you

You try to open your eyes but they’re so heavy

“You can’t do this to me- not after everything we’ve been through together, it’s my fault” Floyd stated through his tears “I just want you back.”

Everyone looks down in sadness, shedding their own tears as they mourn with Floyd

Then

The darkness starts to fade from your vision as you blink a few times

You raise your hand to his face, startling him

“You’re so silly”

you say weakly, watching his eyes tear up again- this time from happiness and disbelief

“You never lost me in the first place”

He brings you into a kiss- putting all of his emotions into it

Halloween night. As was said in Mean Girls it’s one of the only nights of the year when a girl can dress in a revealing way and not get absolutely destroyed by other people for it. Now you found that trend a bit cliche but who doesn’t enjoy looking good for a party? It was a party held by the triplets who had quickly become some of your favorite people in the world. Chris especially, he was your best friend. He was like a twin flame for you, plenty of the fans asked if the two of you were dating but you were quick to admit that you are aromantic and asexual. When you first told Chris he seemed a bit confused and proceeded to ask you as many questions as his funny little head could come up with. You didn’t mind answering questions and you actually appreciated that he tried to understand your romantic and sexual orientation. After that it was history, Chris was like the brother you always wanted. You spent almost all the time with each other, going to concerts and sports games together. You frequently traveled with the triplets back to Boston and Mary Lou absolutely adored you. She’d often call you to get opinions on things she was planning to buy. The triplets found this absolutely adorable and would often tease their mom about it. Mary Lou liked to call you her daughter and honestly you didn’t mind it that much. 

You were currently sitting in Chris’s room watching him pick which costume he wanted to go with. Part of him debated going as Steve Harrington again, or maybe just being the 80s jazzercise coach again. You on the other hand had decided to be a little witch. Basic enough that you weren’t stressed out but could still be cute. Although you didn’t fully send into the sluttiness that usually surrounds Halloween you did have some skin showing. Chris told you you looked amazing which made you gush, you thanked him before calling him corny. “What? Corny!? I can’t compliment my best friend now??” You laughed at Chris’s fake offended face. “Nope!” You teased before looking back down at your phone. You scrolled through tik tok for a bit longer before pushing yourself up to stand. “I’m gonna wait in the kitchen.” You said and Chris nodded. “Ok, see you in a bit.” 

Within no time the triplet’s house had flooded with people, mostly people you knew but a few friends brought their new partners. One person’s partner brought their brother to the party. He was a tall built fellow with sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes. He was definitely conventionally attractive though that mattered little to you. You noticed out of the corner of your eye that he was staring but you just avoided him by walking away. You were currently sitting over on the couch next to a socially exhausted Nick. You nudged his shoulder and he smiled at you with a slightly pained expression. “How you doing bud?” He sighed and rested his head on your shoulder. “I’m so tired. Why are there so many people all the time?” You sighed, laying your cheek to the top of Nick’s head. “Yeahh, parties are kind of a lot.” As you both sat and sighed in antisocial feelings Larray danced his way over to Nick, grabbing his hand and smiling at you. “Mind if I take him?” You looked at Nick who seemed to get a little excited by Larray coming to him. You smiled at the man and nodded. “Go for it.” Nick soon got up and walked away with Larray. You leaned back into the soft couch, closing your eyes for a moment before taking a sip of your root beer. You only opened your eyes upon feeling the cushions next to you sink. You turned your head to see the brother that had been staring at you all night. You furrowed your brows in confusion, quickly looking to make sure you knew where Matt, Chris, or Madi were just in case. Though in the midst of your scouting the man had gotten closer to you. “Hey hot stuff, what’s your name?” You looked at the man, suddenly feeling the need to grasp your cup a little tighter. “Uh, Y/N. Can I help you?” The man smirked and leaned closer to you, placing his arm on the back of the couch behind you. “Let me make you a drink. You look interesting. I want to get to know you.” You tried to put a polite smile on your face before shaking your head gently. “Oh uh I’m sorry I’m actually aromantic and asexual so I’m not really interested in anything.” You found that most of the time if you just told them you weren’t into it they’d leave you alone. Hopefully this guy was the same, but to your dismay the man’s smirk didn’t waiver after you turned him down. You began to stand, seeing that he was standing with you. “Oh come on, I’m sure you just haven’t found the right guy for you.” His hand grazed your wrist, soon holding it with a frightening strength. Your heart began to race and you tried to move your arm away from the guy. “No thank you, I’d like to walk away now please.” He pulled you closer to him and you shut your eyes, fear overcoming your entire body. But instead of hearing his creepiness again you heard a familiar voice. “Hey bro she said she wasn’t interested.” You opened your eyes to see Chris standing between you and the guy. He was still holding your wrist yet you were focused on Chris and the anger that seemed to radiate off his body. “Hey man, we aren't looking for any trouble. Sweetheart and I were just about to leave. No need to get angry.” The guy said, his grip tightening on your wrist. He tugged you, making you step closer to him and farther from Chris. “I’m not gonna tell you again dude. Leave her alone.” You reached out to Chris, trying to let him know you were ok. That you could handle it and that he didn’t need to worry but it was too late. You saw the guy’s mouth open but Chris was staring at his hand that gripped onto you. 

Within a flash you saw Chris lunge at the guy, connecting his fist to his face and repeating. Suddenly the room fell silent as the creepy guy fell to the floor, CHris stradling to land a few more blows. The upbeat music was all you could hear for a moment before you snapped out of your daze. You quickly moved forward, grabbing Chris’s arm and forcing him to look at you. “Chris stop please!” You pleaded with your best friend, his ocean eyes boring into your own. He stopped punching the guy before letting you help him up. “Get out of my fucking house.” Chris said down to the man. “And do not EVER come back.” The guy looked at you before wiping blood away from his mouth and scrambling to his feet. He looked at Chris’s heaving body before turning and leaving, pushing multiple people away as he made his way to the door. You looked at everyone around you, most were speechless and your eyes landed on Nick and Larray. You sighed and grabbed Chris’s hand, intertwining your fingers before pulling him away from the party. Slowly people began to speak again but it was muffled behind Matt’s door. You shut the door and looked at Chris who looked directly back at you. Without a word you wrapped your arms around Chris’s torso, tears streaming your face as you buried yourself deep in Chris’s chest. He wrapped his own arms around you as he tried to catch his breath. He held you close to him as you sobbed, not wanting to let you go. “If I ever see that guy again I’ll beat the shit out of him.” You smiled gently at that, slowly calming yourself in his arms. “Thanks Chris.” “Of course Y/N. I love you, call me if anyone ever treats you like that again.” “Ok, I will. I love you too Chris.”

so my story: since I was little I thought “oh, having a crush is normal” so I just said I had crushes on guys for the longest time, like this one guy, let’s call him Jay, had a crush on me in like the first grade. I didn’t “reciprocate” until I found out most of the girls my age were crushing on him and I wanted to fit in. I did this for SIX YEARS. Then we moved on to middle school. That’s when I realized “oh gay people exist” and though I was bi (bi to aroace pipeline real, iykyk) and had plenty of squishes towards girls who I thought were romantic crushes. No seggsual desire so I was like “oh im def ace” but refused to believe I was aro, and I even had a queerplatonic gf at the time without even accepting or acknowledging my aromantic side. We broke up, got a new partner in high school and one day I was like “oh. OH.” and yeah. It’s been hard trying to explain this to my parents since they think smth is wrong with me for not being attracted to anyone, but I haven’t actually come out to them im just kinda like “im not rly looking for a relationship rn” and that’s basically it. It’s been a long and hard road but im glad I finally accepted myself :)

i was gonna wait to share these until arospec awareness week but i’ve been in alloro spaces for too long and wanted to share my recent art of my aro ocs to shake the bad vibes off!! im gonna do a little bit of infodumping abt them below >:)

the first drawing is of tatum (left) and dylan (right)! they are QPPs! :] tatum (she/her) is aroallo, grayro, and polyam! she’s also in a romantic relationship with another character. she loves being out in nature and has lots of hobbies like gardening, photography, and foraging! she’s big on appreciating the small things and prefers to be in quiet, peaceful areas. dylan (they/them) is aroqueer and genderqueer, and loves vulture culture and anything to do with bugs (beetles are their favorite)! they like sketching and being competitive (although sometimes they take it a little too far lol), and they take awhile to be comfortable around others.

i don’t have their backgrounds completely fleshed out, but i like to think since she was young tatum never got the big deal abt romantic relationships (while she’s in one now, she doesn’t view it as inherently superior to other relationship types) and didn’t buy into amatonormative ideas. dylan, on the other hand, tried to be in a romantic relationship which failed, and they fell victim to some amatonoramtive ideas until they met tatum! tatum taught them about aromanticism and generally made them a lot more comfortable with themself and their identity. sooner or later the both of them realized they wanted to be QPPs and they now call each other their zucchinis! <2

the second drawing is of mistletoe (he/him)! he’s frayromantic, homosexual, and non partnering! he has a group of friends, one of whom he has a fwb situation with. he can act arrogant sometimes but he means well. he’s actually a big softy but tries to act cool (he doesn’t like people treating him like he’s weak or “lesser” for being a rabbit, so he thinks he has to make up for it by acting tougher sometimes). while being aro, he actually loves flirting with people, he treats it like a game haha. although as soon as the flirting advances to something more, he gets freaked out and repulsed. and ironically, being frayromantic, on the rare occasions he does experience romantic attraction, he loses his entire ability to flirt due to nerves.

heres some more random thoughts and hcs :3

the ra*bits juniors tend to come straight to niichan for advice on most things so they've naturally come to him several times with crushes and various love troubles. he's got very little clue as to how they're feeling but is always a good listener and a shoulder to lean on for them

also depending on your fav babits ships he's probably threatened all of their prospective partners with violence at least once (unless you ship them with each other. then he just gets to cheer them on and its very cute and sweet)

sometimes he runs into kaoru in the rythlin office and is like hey remember that one time you tried to hit on me. huh. do you remember that. hes not letting him live it down

in general, he's very good at picking up on other people's feelings and crushes and things and likes to tease people about it. he pokes fun at kuro abt keito regularly

he loves shu, really, he's his dear friend, but he tells him regularly that he is going to stop agreeing to go to brunch with him if he doesn't just tell mika he's pathetically in love with him because it's getting really embarrassing at this point. it takes many, many tries to get him to stop being in denial about it. the eccentrics are shocked he was able to do it at all (and a little hurt (joke) like shu we've been telling you this for years why is nito the only one who can talk sense into you do your other friends mean nothing to you??? cant believe this)

he has similar conversations with mika but mika's never been in denial about it he just won't confess so most of them go like this "mika-chin just tell him" "no" "mika-chin" "no" "MIKA-CHIN" "NNNAH"

he's cute, obviously, and regularly gets hit on while in college, so he has lied on several occasions and said he already has a girlfriend. he asked naru to fake date him at an event once and she had a little bit too much fun with it (and they became closer as friends as a result :3)

ANYWAY hes a good niichan and he loves his friends and his family and his bunny and i also love him amen

Hey so I just saw your post about writing about Alastor. And firstly I just wanted to say (As an Aroace person) that its really sweet of you to try and not misrepresent anybody.

Now what I'm about to say may only apply to me but this is my opinion on what you can do.

I personally see no problem with you writing Alastor in sexual or romantic stories because he IS a fictional character, and not a real person. However I understand your views on not wanting to hurt anybody or change him so here are some little tips.

Aroace people can come in different forms and styles (In a simple way of putting it.) Such as me, personally. I do not have the desire to be intimate with anybody ever or at all, or get into a romantic relationship with anybody. While others may be just Asexual (or aroace but we will just say Asexual for simple terms) and is willing to have sex and enjoy it.

Asexuals is defined by someone having little to no desire or feel the need to get intimate with anybody, however they can have sex. There are different types like acespikes and such but I'd just suggest sticking with the basics and to not over stress about it. Some asexuals like the pleasure themselves, while others may prefer to pleasure their partner.

I think that this is all I can really tell at the moment, because I have been aroace for only about 1-2 years now, but asexual for 3-4. And as said before, this is just my views on some info if you want some help, while others may feel differently, and that is perfectly okay.

i find it so confusing that people seem to think of them as lovers immediately bc i always saw them as old, best friends who were so close to each other that she rlly was the only one who knew him so well 🥹 but it doesnt have to make them lovers bc platonic love and friendship is a thing too and is as meaningful and deep

its also sad to me to see ppl hate on a female character so easily bc she is interpreted as a lover just bc she is close to a fav; esp guizhong can and deserves to be more than just the generic "dead ex who changed her lover"; i love imagining her teasing him, i love them having different kind of humor but they still understand each others jokes, i love them teaching each other things; sharing their knowledge and taking on little things of the other without noticing, i love them having deep discussions about various topics and open each others eyes to new views, i love them loving each other but differently than lovers and more like the family they found in each other (w the adepti belonging to it too)

first impressions- tbh i thought he was a weird ass bitch who needed cough drops bc his lil villain cough was making no one but the butterflies scared. like his ability was rlly cool but i didn’t really get him at first. also his name took me ages to pronounce 😭😭

impression now- genuinely one of my fav characters!!! he’s such a guy y’know. a goofy little guy. but i do rlly like his backstory and how he persevered and fought through ever and still was a morally bad person. like i luv seeing characters i adore suffer to hell and back and then finally find some sort of broken peace with themselves. aku allowing himself to value his own wants and needs after fighting atsushi and seeing him grow as a character is just perfect. 10/10 i luv him my blorbo forever <3

favourite moment- anything in wan tbh. i know i just went on a heartfelt rant abt aku but. wan aku is the true star let’s be honest. i mean look at him. just stare into those soulless eyes.

considering both alters have completely forgotten their names, Neko Zombie has basically become a "collective" name for them.

The host is y'know, Neko Zombie. The ambitious, rebellious cat deeply determined to help anyone achieve the goal he can never, get the hell out of Gregory House.

The cohost is a prosecutor, they are responsible for Neko Zombie's "wild facade". They are completely nonverbal, only making noises of that of a aggressive cat. completely driven by instinct, anger, and an overwhleming amount of fear. They are not evil, though. Only wanting to protect the body, and survive.

The host is a transmasc enby aro lesbian and the cohost is a triple a battery (AGENDER AROACE SWAG!!!!!!!!!!)

..if competition meant trapping lost souls in a purgatorial hell of a hotel. He had second guest type situation. Being unwillingly transported to a hotel than just after you try to escape it you're just. Interrogated into the family like a fucked up toxic found family.

The competiting hotel in question, was definitely more professional and more fancier like then gregory house. I'm saying fancier as in your room would probably look like this:

Needless to say, of course having a more high quality soul-trapping horror hotel in the lost world would ring the alarm bells of any soul-hungry rat! Well, that's what Gregory Mama thought. Already keeping her eyes on her competitor, the final straw was when one guest got out of the hotel, had their existential crisis realizing reality sucks ass, and ended up going to the COMPETING hotel!

So, she decided to take matters into Gregory's hands.

Basically, think of the process of dissolving a company into another company.

Take that litreally.

After the competiting hotel was no more, and Gregory House ended up with a few extra rooms, Neko Zombie's family's souls and any guest originating from the dissolved hotel were took out and promptly eaten by Mama.

...Though, a be a cruel mix of pity and pettyness lead to Gregory insisting that the formerly human child of the Neko family be spared. Fast foward to today with the help of a young Clock Master and here we are today with one fucked up cat!
