i want to use my platform for good. shahed, a mother from gaza, and her family need to escape as soon as possible due to the intense attacks on their home city - their current short-term goal is $10,000 but they're still so far from even that. please donate if you can, and share - not just online, but in real life too! put up posters, tell friends with money to spare, whatever it is just help out in any way you can. that goes for any other GFM or campaign you see for any other family facing genocide in their country - palestine, sudan, ukraine, and many others. you can make a difference!!!!!!! 🫶🏿🍉
"Keep Eyes On Sudan. Write to your media org. Your rep. Your mother. Your group chat!!! We need people to speak on what is happening in El Fasher. Today!" from Yasmin Abdel-Magied, 25/Apr/2024:
Hey since I got one this morning I thought I'd make a post about it....
If someone that you don't know sends you an ask asking for money, it is very likely a scam! Common ones include "sick pets" or "I need money to evacuate (country)". These are scams, and they will not hesitate to play on your emotions. Stay safe out there and report them for phishing! Here's how to report content. Choose "unlawful uses or content" and then "phishing". Spread the word and please please be careful.
I am so excited to announce that I have LAUNCHED A PATREON! Woohoo!! I’m even more excited to announce that the debut is an early release for the long awaited chapter 11 of TDIAG! ((the chapter will be uploaded on to tumblr and wattpad two weeks after its patreon upload)).
It’s $5 a month, and alongside early access to TDIAG updates, my patreon will offer exclusive teasers, unannounced ficlets (some patreon exclusives, some early release) like Gladiator!Harry, TA!Harry, Angry ballet man, a gruff vampire x his familiar, TRIVIA MAN, and a possible patreon exclusive unfinished fic that stands at over 120K in word count! There will also be early access to the second part of Ride the Tiger (pornstar!au), to Glaze (second part of pottery man), and patreon exclusive extras for both TDIAG and Ride the Tiger! I will also be writing patreon exclusive blurbs unrelated to the aforementioned, and I am open to taking requests!
For now, I am aiming to post two pieces a week + exclusive teasers, polls, and check-ins. I am absolutely brand new to patreon, and have so much appreciation for your patience in this first trial month. I’m eager to hear your feedback, your requests, and ways that I can possibly improve my patreon to make it an awesome space for you guys!
I do art commissions (slots open on my kofi) if anyone wants sth. I just really need the help rn tbqh. I have just enough to cover priority items for Lil Bean (for two weeks maybe) but am fucked for everything else because I live in a house with my mother and she's... Rubbish with money. I buy all the food, cover household bills, etc etc. Right now, I'm not getting paid everything I should be (which sucks and I'm being ghosted by the one I'm meant to contact about this which is just gReAt) and it's really, really messing everything up.
It was meant to be sorted. It was meant to be organised. I was meant to be able to do this and not have to panic about finances. Instead... Instead I'm missing support, have to cover bills for a whole household and a baby on less than I should have while handling a dysfunctional parent I can't leave either, and deal with the lack of government support just yet because, ya know, their system moves slow when giving money but hella fast when demanding it.
So yeah.
Commissions. Or donations if you're safely able to do that and don't want art. Just- just help please. Help right now would be great. It really, really would.
gotta ask… what is stimming? Is that only for people with autism?
stimming (self-stimulatory behavior) is repetative movements/behaviors/noises, and its not exclusive to autism. everyone stims to some degree! toe and finger tapping, pen clicking, playing with your hair or an accessory, even listening to music, enjoying certain smells, etc, etc, etc. the difference between stimming in autism versus in non autistics comes down to the type of stims, the frequency or quantity, and the purpose behind them. the sort of stereotyped stimming behavior you may be thinking of is of course the most widely associated with autism, but like i said everyone does stim to some degree! stimming is also commonly seen in adhd, sensory processing disorder, and a few others as well!
