Talking about every Invisible Davis / Queen Kat MCRP series that I've watched (non-spoiler reviews I guess)

There aren't enough people in the Invisible Davis / Queen Kat fandom who talk about their Minecraft series, especially with all the new fans coming in. So I'll talk about them and hopefully it gets more people interested in the series. Won't be every series because I haven't watched all of them, but it's a good chunk of them

If you've watched a series and want to add your thoughts on it, feel free to add on! If you haven't watched the series that I'll talk about, take this as a review/recommendation of sorts

Fairy Tail Origins (S5 Invisible Davis Studios)

Fairy Tail Origins is a multi POV series based on the world of the Fairy Tail anime, though it has its own original plots and characters so you don't need to watch the anime first. This is also the first series that Davis did with the OriginsMCRP group. This was the first MCRP series I watched from Davis and the Origins group in general, so it has a bit of a special place in my heart. TBH there isn't much of a plot for most of his POV, and I would personally say that I do prefer the stories of other POVs to his. However, the thing that really carries Davis' POV for me is the interactions between Davis' character and others. I love the found family dynamic he has with Betty and Damien, and to a lesser extent with his guild mates in La Carnival and fellow dragon slayer Bryan. Compared to most of the other series on the list, it's pretty chill, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's own interesting moments.

SCP (S1 Invisible Davis Studios + Queen Kat Productions [partway through], S2 Invisible Davis Studios + Queen Kat Productions)

The SCP series is, unsurprisingly, based on the lore of the SCP Foundation. As someone with little knowledge of SCP, I felt like they explained things pretty well here, so you don't need to do a huge deep dive just to understand this series. The premise of the series starts off with Davis as a D-class and Kat as a scientist in charge of experimenting on him, and that's all I can reveal without spoiling the main meat of the series. There are moments of action and horror (ngl the episode with the staircase definitely freaked me out a bit), though the character interactions are definitely a main draw for me, especially later on. Definitely a must watch, especially if you're into sci-fi. Kat's episode 1 of Season 1 lines up around episode 40-ish of Davis' Season 1 (because Kat started her POV much later). Currently Kat's Season 2 is over, and we have yet to see Davis' Season 2 finale (though it does seem to be something that is being worked on).

Otso and Derpy Adventures (S1+S2 Queen Kat Productions) + Toby's FNAF Adventures (Queen Kat Productions)

Otso and Derpy Adventures is about the titular characters, Otso and Derpy, who are siblings with interdimensional abilities. The best way I can describe this is like 75% crack humor and 25% lore and/or drama. One episode they'll be at the beach and Otso will bust out a flying bathtub, and in another they'll be arrested and put on trial for breaking interdimensional laws. It gets pretty meta, and ever once in a while Otso and Derpy will break the fourth wall or acknowledge that they're in a minecraft roleplay. Because of its nature as a series about hopping between dimensions, you'll see references to Kat and Davis' other works here, as well as references to Otso and Derpy in their other shows. There's also a lot of lore about the different versions of Kat and Davis across the multiverse and it gets surprisingly intense at points. Definitely a bit of a daunting series to get into, both because of the 400+ episode count and the references to other series. I personally wouldn't recommend this one if you're relatively new to Kat and Davis' content, I'd watch at least a couple other series before this one. But as someone who hasn't watched all of their series (including one of the ones referenced the most here), I wouldn't say that not getting all the references takes me out of it or anything. Especially in Season 2, it has enough of its own plot and lore to stand on its own.

I also added Toby's FNAF Adventures here as it is kind of an interlude between Seasons 1 and 2 of Otso and Derpy. It follows the younger brother of Otso and Derpy, Toby, on his own adventures that seem unconnected to Otso and Derpy until the finale. It's a very short watch, and the series was supposed to be longer but was unfortunately cut short due to low viewership. It's loosely based on the space portion of Bonnie's Adventures. Because of its short length and how it bridges Toby's character arc between Seasons 1 and 2 of Otso and Derpy, I do think that people should watch it if they're watching that series as well.

My Hero Origins (S1 Invisible Davis Studios, S2 Invisible Davis Studios + Queen Kat Productions)

My Hero Origins is a multi POV series made by the Origins group based on My Hero Academia. It follows the premise of a bunch of kids with quirks (superpowers) going to a school where they learn to be pro heroes. Davis' POV follows Davis as he balances schoolwork in the daytime and vigilante work at night (also gonna note here that MHO Davis was written with autistic coding in mind). The POV also includes one of the villain characters for this series, who is one of my personal favorites, both for his time as a villain and the voice Davis gave him. It's got a solid plot and characters, though I can't bring up MHO without bringing up the action scenes and cinematics. There are several throughout the series, since it is still a superhero series. There is an hour-long almost fully cinematic episode about 3/4ths of the way through the series, and it is genuinely one of the most impressive things I've seen created in minecraft. Would recommend this if you're into more action-oriented stuff.

Season 2 didn't do as well so it was cut short, though it may end up being revived in the future. It takes place a few years after MHO, now with only two POVs: Davis (who is trying to make it as a pro hero but has to deal with hero agencies that prioritize money and popularity over doing real good) and Kat (who is going to a college for pro heroes). I found it an interesting concept, and it genuinely is a shame that is wasn't finished. Whether you actually watch this one is up to you, I don't really like recommending unfinished series, but I still think it's still pretty solid for what we got.

Origins of Olympus (S3 Invisible Davis Studios)

Origins of Olympus is a multi-POV series based mainly on Greek mythology, but Seasons 2 and 3 include other pantheons as well. Despite the gripes I have with Origins of Olympus as a whole and its portrayal of certain cultures, the Mors/Xiphos POV by Davis is my personal favorite Origins series that he did. He has two POV characters here: Mors, the son of Thanatos, and Xiphos, whose identity I shouldn’t spoil. I have so many thoughts about Mors that I’ve already said here on this account, and though I’m not normally a fan of edgier or more morally reprehensible characters, I absolutely loved him (it might just be me though, he’s a pretty divisive character in the OoO fandom). Though I’m not as big of a fan of Xiphos, I think that the arc he has here is surprisingly pretty deep. Both characters’ backstories tie into events from Seasons 1 & 2, which Davis does not have a POV for, though as someone who watched Season 3 with limited knowledge of the other 2 seasons, I’d say they give you enough information to be caught up at the very least. There’s also Korina and Kat (both played by Kat) and Luchnos as side characters who are absolutely wonderful here, and I’ll talk about one of them a bit more later on. Also, shoutout to the cinematics in this series; there’s two big fight scenes that come to mind that are absolutely iconic, and the opening scene of the first episode is great at establishing exactly what kind of series you’re getting yourself into. I highly recommend this series.

Korina's Origin (Queen Kat Productions)

So I mentioned Korina back in the Origins of Olympus section; she gets her own series in the form of Korina's Origin. It explores Korina's backstory and her history with Mors, Thanatos, and Luchnos before the events of OoO Season 3. Out of all of the series that Kat and Davis have done so far this is one of my favorite, if not the top favorite, series of their that I have watched. It is very character and relationship focused if you're into that, and it is something I really enjoy about the series. I have talked about Mors and Thanatos and Korina at length on my blog, and that's because I find the characters and relationships so wonderfully complex and human that I always find something new to analyze about it. This is a series with a decent amount of moral grayness and decisions made by characters that you my not agree with, and I am living for it. Similarly to OoO, it is heavily based on mythology, though thankfully it keeps the focus narrowed to primarily Greek mythology (with occasional references to Norse and Egyptian mythology, probably because of the proximity of their pantheons). It does take a lot of liberties from the source material, such as changing which gods are related to each other (Kat has said this is to avoid the incest prevalent in Greek mythology, which is fair). Imo it does start slowing down a bit in the final 20-30 episodes, but it's not something that ruins the series for me. So overall, I absolutely recommend watching Korina's Origin. I would personally recommend watching Origins of Olympus before Korina's Origin for a bit more context, though you can still watch this one on its own. Also KO is probably gonna come back for Season 2 at some point so now would be a good time to start watching it.

Bonnie's Adventures (S1 + S2 Invisible Davis Studios)

I actually haven't finished watching this one. FNAF stuff isn’t usually my thing as I’m not really in the fandom, but I would recommend watching it anyways, especially since it’s one of the more popular series in Davis’ fandom (and gets referenced in other series a lot). It’s basically a rewrite of a FNAF forever series that Davis used to work on, and I think it’s fairly solid for what it is. I especially kind of enjoy the development of the relationship between Freddy and Bonnie, and how their different ideals affect that development. I should probably finish this at some point lol

Supernatural Origins (Invisible Davis Studios)

Supernatural Origins is a multi POV series that was surprisingly not based on the TV show, but instead on the general concept of supernatural beings. Davis' POV follows vampire hunter Isaac, his niece Willow, a vampire noblewoman named Lady Cecilia, and a vampire servant named Dimitri. The large amount of characters in a single POV gives the viewer a lot to follow, but all of them are connected in some way so it makes it a little less daunting. This is one of the series that unfortunately wasn't given an ending due to burnout/other constraints. Kinda sad that such an interesting series was never realized to its full potential, but thankfully these characters and some of their plot threads were reused for a series that we'll talk about later on. I do recommend watching it, but do prepare to be left on a bit of a cliffhanger.

Fairy Tail (Invisible Davis Studios)

Similar premise to Fairy Tail Origins, except it's only Davis' POV now, and basically it revolves around Davis joining a magic guild called Wolf Claw while trying to come to terms with and atone for his past, standard action-fantasy shenanigans occur. Though this Davis is basically the same as FTO Davis design and personality wise, this series is set in a completely separate continuity and mostly has different characters, and now Davis' character actually has a solidified story to follow. This is one of the series where Kat and Davis took a their characters from Origins and gave them their own series as a reboot of sorts. The plot here is a lot more solid, the characters are great (Astrid is a fave of mine), and the actions cinematics are amazing (though due to constraints that Davis mentioned they may not return as much in season 2, so cherish them here). Still keeps some of the found family aspects from FTO, but switch out some of the characters. Overall a solid watch that I would recommend.

Sword Art Origins (Invisible Davis Studios)

Basically a multi POV series that is based on Sword Art Online. Gonna be real with you all, I keep forgetting this one exists. Generally it was kinda bleh imo, but it was the last series by Origins before it officially disbanded so I kind of get it. For what little Davis made of this series, it had an intimidating villain and did a good job of setting up the stakes/plot. Don't really recommend this one because of how short and inconclusive it was, and also apparently there was stuff going on behind the scenes of this series that really hit the fan. But who knows? The characters might be recycled for a future series.

The Backrooms (Invisible Davis Studios + Queen Kat Productions)

Another short series, though at least this one has an ending. Basic premise is that this series' Kat and Davis get trapped in the Backrooms and try to escape. It focuses mainly on the horror of the entities in the Backrooms, though there's also some element of human horror in it (if that makes sense). Davis (the creator, not the character) himself isn't really a fan of how the series turned out. I think it's pretty alright for what it is, but otherwise don't have a lot to say about it. I recommend both POVs for being a short watch combined, if nothing else (and I really do recommend both POVs because Kat's version has the ending for both of them).

Undertale (Invisible Davis Studios)

This is a minecraft roleplay based on the hit indie game Undertale. The basic premise is that Davis, a park ranger stationed near Mount Ebott, catches Frisk as they are about to fall down to the Underground on their hundredth or so run of the game. As a result, the two of them fall down into the Underground together and become linked. Davis tries to find a way out of the Underground with Frisk while Frisk tries to speedrun Undertale without Davis getting in the way. It's a pretty unique concept for an Undertale AU imo, though sadly it was one of the series that got cut short. It fortunately does get a finale, though it is a bit of a controversial ending to some. I really like the little details here that tie things back to the game while changing things up due to the minecraft medium and events being from the perspective of Davis, such as how the fights are translated from the game to minecraft, Davis being unable to see save points but Frisk being able to interact with them, and the random comments Frisk makes that are references to the game text. I do personally recommend this if you are a fan of Undertale. Like I said before, the ending might not be for everyone, though it might be a bit more interesting if you have watched Davis' other series before.

FNAF Chronicle (Invisible Davis Studios)

FNAF Chronicle is an original FNAF project that takes elements from the games, movies, and books. This series' Davis becomes the new owner of the long abandoned Fazbear's location and the animatronics inside, but quickly learns there's more to them than meets the eye. Like I said previously, I don't care too much for FNAF stuff, but this series has me hooked. About half the episodes are crack humor and references to past series, while the other half is a mix of drama, mystery, and horror. I'd say that out of every series on this post that can be considered horror, this one does it the best. There are some jumpscares (which I normally hate), but they're used sparingly and most of the horror is done through the building of tension and mystery. The voice and body acting do a good job of getting across just how terrifying these situations are for Davis and the others. Plus the use of the humorous episodes is done in a way that gives you a break from the more intense aspects of the series while not being entirely detached from the plot. Definitely a good series to watch, and it's currently still in progress on Davis' channel.

The Vampire's Bride (Queen Kat Productions)

The Vampire's Bride is an isekai fantasy/romance story that also has bits of being a historical/fantasy political drama. In the first episode, after seeing TVB Kat be what can only be described as a failure at life, a portal pulls her into another dimension, where the vampire Lord Isvad declares her to be the reincarnation of his wife, Lady Kestrin. Aside from the romance between Kat and Lord Isvad, the series also goes into a lot of worldbuilding for this supernatural world and acknowledges that Kat's new role as a noblewoman is something that gives her both power over others and a target on her back. One of my favorite things about this series is the way that Kat is written. She has a lot of flaws and weaknesses that primarily come from being an outsider to this world (and not having much going for her in her previous life), but we follow her over the course of this series as she grows into this new role. Her growth into a strong woman who relies on her wits and relationship-building skills to survive in this world was really cool to see, especially since I feel like this type of character tends to be overlooked when it comes to characters that are considered "strong female characters". Also, this was the series I mentioned earlier that reuses the characters from Supernatural Origins. Isaac and Willow return, as well as part of their plotline for SNO, Lady Cecilia returns with a modified role, and Dimitri also returns. Glad to see that despite SNO not being able to have a proper ending, the characters can still have their story finished in some form (though do note that it’s still set in a separate continuity from SNO, so you don’t have to watch it to understand this). Definitely recommend watching this one, and it is still currently in progress on Kat's channel.

How did you three meet?

It was a normal day sorting through the records and making sure everything was in its proper place. You adjusted your spectacles before moving the box from your hip into two servos. The corridor you were walking in was long, empty, and cold. Not a single spark in sight and you preferred it that way. 

As you pressed a button, the doors to a room slid open and you carried the box inside. Whistling a small tune, you placed the box on a table and paused when something clicked.

Looking over your shoulder, you found two pairs of optics staring at you. One as blue as the sky, the other as bright as the sun. 

"....hey?" 

"AAAAAAHHHHHH-MFPH!" 

First Impressions:

D-16

🟡 Thought you were rather skittish and weird, especially after you almost got them both in trouble had it not been for Orion shushing you with his servo.

🟡 Thankfully, you were rather understanding, a bit naive, but understanding of their innocent intentions.

Orion Pax 

🔵 You seemed like a nice mech.

🔵 A really nice mech when you didn't rat him and his buddy out to the guards when they approached the room to investigate the scream from earlier. 

🔵 Your derpy spectacles and timid mannerism (he caught onto your nervous tics) made him believe you were one of those uptight bookworms. Not the bad kind or snobbish, but not a social type of bot.

🔵 He was proved wrong twice when you had the opportunity to turn them in, but choose not to after hearing the purpose of their 'visit.' 

Shared interests: 

Oh boy, who knew you were a fan of Megatronus? Orion had a 'pleasant' time hearing D-16 and their new acquaintance ramble on about how cool and awesome the Prime was. 

When the conversation (more like fangirling) about Megatronus turned on Orion, the aforementioned mech spoke about the matrix and his goal in helping seek the location of it. 

Cue flapping servos and a squeal that was shushed by D-16's servo over your intake.

Not only were you interested in learning about the Primes, mainly Megatronus, but you also were interested in finding the lost lore of the Matrix and any information you could get your servos on. 

A friendship blossomed on that day and the three of you agreed to meet up at a bar or park whenever all of you had the time to do so. 

Overall dynamic a friends: 

You fit in pretty well with the duo. 

Your eagerness to learn more despite the consequences and sometimes good judgment was a nice balance to D-16 sticking to protocol and Orion Pax's exasperating ideas. 

Although your time spent with the two wasn't a lot compared to them working together in the mines, it didn't stop the bond from strengthening between you three. 

You were D-16's backup whenever Orion had a ridiculous plan that could lead him getting demoted severely.

You were Orion's hype mech and source of information whenever the two of you felt like you had a lead in your goals. 

You tend to call the red and blue mech Pax, even after being assured that you can call him Orion. After a while, Orion didn't mind the way you said his name, it felt…nice, like a 'special' thing between himself and you. 

Overall, I'd say the three of you were great friends. 

Until….

You picked up your pace and rubbed the glass of your spectacles from the smudge that happened to get on it. It was your off day and you wanted to spend as much of it with your friends as possible, especially when you had exciting news to share with them. 

You nearly bumped into a few bots, apologizing to them anyway, as you maneuvered around the busy streets of Iacon. It did not take long for you to arrive at the mines. You skidded to a halt when you spotted a pink femme chatting with a few other bots. 

You approached and before you could raise a digit to gain her attention she had long since spotted you. 

Elita-1 rolled an optic and jabbed a digit in one direction, then you were off--scurrying towards the showers to find your friends. 

"D? Pax?" You called as you stepped into the communal showers. The showers, which you've seen in some blueprints, were a shared space with only one or two baths built in. 

Mutterings echoed off the tiled area that appeared vacant. If it wasn't for the sound of oil, you would've assumed so. You rose a ridge before continuing to walk deeper into the area, only to stop when the murmurs grew clearer. 

"...Orion, we're going to be late…"

"C'mon, a little fun isn't going to make us late."

When you heard your designation spill from D-16's intake and more reassurance from Orion, you quickened your pace and rounded the corner to find a…well…sight to behold. 

Orion was partially submerged in the bath with D-16 straddling him. Their gazes were filled with a passion you never saw whenever the three of you were hanging out. For some reason, a pang seized your spark and you took a step back but bumped into the wall. 

The noise caused Orion and D to separate. 

"___?!" 

Energon shot to your faceplate added with the heat of the bath fogging up your spectacles caused you to stutter out a 'quick' sorry while attempting to escape. Oil splashed around as D-16 moved to the other end of the bath to cover his flushed face and Orion ran out of the bath to catch up…or rather, catch you.

Running in a slippery area was not a good idea. 

You crashed onto the floor and shrieked when your ankles were snatched and you were pulled back toward the bath. Clawing at the floor, your futile attempts at breaking free caused Orion to drop your ankles and walk around to your front to grab both sides of your helm. D-16 watched as he leaned against the edge of the bath.

"____."

"Yes?" You squawked. 

Orion smashed his dermas against yours. You felt weak and nearly melted into the kiss had it not been for the 'd'aww' coming from your other friend. You found the strength to withdraw from Orion and scoot back until you were a reasonable distance from both. 

"What..why…huh??" You pointed to the two of them, you and Orion, and then to your dermas. 

"We've…been meaning to tell you," D-16 started. 

"Just hadn't found the right moment, but now that you know…we can finally tell you how much we like you!" 

 "...classy." 

"Whaaat? ___ deserves to know about us and how we feel about them! All these secrets just felt..wrong, anyway-" Orion turned to look at you with a wide smile. "Whaddya say, starlight? You in?" 

 

"Call a medic cause  I'm about to have a spark attack." 

Cue them panicking along with you. 

And that's how you managed to become more than friends with your…well, friends. 

First date? 

A bar :) 

Twas a fun time walking the two of them back to your home when they were drunk off of their processors  

In the morning, you all comforted each other with the hangover pains 

First kiss? 

Orion already stole your first official kiss.

You and D's first kiss happened on the second date when you managed to 'borrow' some merch of his favorite Prime at a invite-only Iacon event. D legit swept you off your peds and kissed you hard enough you felt like you were seeing stars.

Demotion…

Yeah…courting a mech who's becoming notorious for sneaking into archives to look at restricted and sensitive data did not go over well with your higher ups. 

You were demoted to a lower title that stripped you off your access to most records. 

To say you were devastated was an understatement. 

You couldn't even look at Orion in the optics for a while. 

Arguments

This incident definitely caused a few disagreements in your relationship

First, D stopping Orion from visiting you too much so that you could have the space you needed 

You felt like scrap for the boiling resentment you were feeling toward yourself, the relationship, and with Orion.

It all boiled over when Orion disregarded D's warning  to stay away and managed to catch you during your working shift. 

And…it didn't end nicely. 

Names were called, not-so-good things were brought up, and you even called Orion a fragging screw up.

Making up 

After the big fight and 'cold war' that was going on between you three, mainly you and D-16 vs Orion. Things…settled down when all of you sat down to talk about it for once. 

Starting the conversation wasn't the easy part, discussion and apologizing was, especially when you and Orion were 'fighting' over how sorry you two were. D-16 had to shut the two of you up by holding you two idiots close in a hug.

Lots of servo-holding and cuddles happened that day :3

 Overall dynamic as a polycule: 

Healthy when communication isn't disrupted.

It's easy to play mediator if something does arise between two of you, but when all three of you are angry at each other? Eh, let's say there is a rule in the relationship to never bottle up your emotions for too long and communicate if you're upset about anything.

Jealousy….ohhhh, it doesn't happen often, but when someone gets a little too close Orion and D are on you like a starved bot on a pile of energon cubes. 

Your relationship is discrete, only a few bots (including your higher ups) know of the true nature of your relationship with D-16 and Orion Pax. 

Overall, it's a beautiful relationship....hopefully nothing bad will happen in the future wink wink.

So I get a lot people calling my little goober 'Durge' in my tags/comments/etc, while I can't deny their resemblence as they are VERY similar both personality and looks-wise, this argonian gremlin is not Durge. He is a character I have made all the way back in 2017/18 (somewhere around that time at least).

He was the first character I have made in Oblivion, originally meant as a joke, but I got attached lol

Anyway, just putting this out there because I never expected Derps to get THIS amount of atttention and to clear up some confusion coming with it :>

Oh and please don't take this the wrong way as I love Durge LOL just wanting Derpy to be at least somewhat remembered as his own thing <3 Though this did give some ideas for a potential BG3!Derpy AU so thank you for that! 👀

Kill Switch: Part Thirteen

“What, no witty comeback?” Ralph gauged, an awkward chuckle escaping him. “You sick or something?” “No, Ralph.” That lackluster response had Ralph raising an eyebrow. How only those two words could convey such blatant lethargy, he had no idea. He cast a confused look Vanellope’s way, but her worried gaze had remained on the Cy-bug.  Regardless of how strange it felt, that nagging pressure to liven up Turbo of all people, it would feel even stranger to leave him like that when Vanellope was so obviously bothered by it. Clearing his throat, Ralph tried again to elicit any sort of response that wasn’t so painfully lifeless. “No, see, that’s where you’re supposed to say something like, ‘Sick of you, maybe’ or ‘What can I say, seeing your face is vomit-inducing’, or–” He stopped talking when King Candy stood up, not even bothering to look at either of them, and left the room without another word. “... What’s up with him?” Ralph asked Vanellope, all she was able to offer being an unknowing shrug in response.  “Said he was tired.” She replied, though sounded beyond unconvinced. “Maybe he just wants to be alone for a bit…”

The Pumpkin Menace-Fate X Reader

A little something I made to celebrate the season. I'm thinking of making one for Tsukihime.

Medusa (Rider) Tries to carve her sisters, fails spectacularly, proceeds to turn the Pumpkin into puree after bemoaning her lack of skill and how it would be much easier if she had small, dainty hands and apologizes for the waste with a bit of pumpkin guts still on her face.

Medusa (Gorgon) Tries extremely hard to carve a design onto the largest one you could find but still comparatively small pumpkin, almost succeeds but applies slightly too much pressure and splatters the pumpkin all over the place, she proceeds to glare at the remains of the pumpkin as if that would force it back together.

Artoria Saber Has no idea what she is doing, tries to make a simple lion design, it ends up as some sort of lopsided monstrosity. Saber is mortified and wants to hurl the entire thing into the garbage, but is unable to because you gave her the pumpkin and because you like her mess of a pumpkin, saying that it was “Derpy in a cute way”.

Artoria Saber Alter Takes extreme joy in the gutting process. She also has no idea what she is doing, and still tries to make the complicated design to impress you. She fails in a manner befitting an episode of Looney Toons or the Three Stooges.

Ishtar She puts one finger into the guts and proceeds to vaporize the pumpkin with a scream and tears in her eyes. She forces you to give her a bubble bath as she complains about all things slimy.

Ereshkigal Has a lot of fun during the gutting process but then her knife got stuck during the carving process, this led to her accidentally smashing the pumpkin to pieces followed by her curling into a ball and sobbing.

Rin Tohsaka She is in immense mental pain during the gutting process but pushes through it to garner praise from you for her jaw dropping design. Halfway through the process she obliterates the poor Pumpkin with a Gandr.

Sakura Matou She claims she knows little about the process of carving the pumpkin, but gets a very pretty if somewhat concerning smile on her face during the gutting process. All in all, it turns out pretty okay, even if the anguished face on the pumpkin is a strange choice.

Earlier drafts sort of established Derpy and Kkachi to be more harbingers/messengers/silent narrators that help advance the plot, so i never really thought of themselves as necessarily attaching themselves exclusively to Jinu- rather, i saw them as a dynamic duo of their own right. Because of that, seeing Derpy and Kkachi at the end felt more to me like Jiminy Cricket saying "the end" at a movie as opposed to an indication that Jinu is still alive somewhere. Jiminy loves the shit out of pinocchio to be sure, but he'll also just kinda go off on his own side quests if need be, that kind of thing.

THAT SAID. I actually don't know if i think jinu is gone for good or not

Like it was a literal debate at times if we thought Jinu should be gone for good or not (overwhelmingly, we were tired of people being dead but not actually dead, to the point where i heard someone joke, "Somehow, Jinu is alive" like fucking palpatine LMAOOOOO)

And i think it would be ironic for me to be in favor of jinu being gone-gone because i'm primarily a rebelcaptain shipper, which stands on the grounds of "no body, no death" and so many fics are non-canon-compliant because we just refuse to let jyn and cassian be dead after rogue one, etc etc

and TEEEEEEEECHNICALLY, we don't see jinu's dead body, so...no body no death?

but idk, even if i wanted him to live, i can't really reason with myself about how to go about it. I think my headcanons are too strong about keeping him dead so his sacrifice matched his penance. he started all this trauma, after all.

Comments: absolutely adored this fic!!!! It adapts the first 2 episodes amazingly and creatively, and the way it handles the characters make sense for a high school yknow. I was really invested in how the characters are intertwined with each other, and how you slowly figure it out. Build up is great, art is great (and all drawn by the author!) and it certainly has twists for you to find out. Does contain heavy Sunset x SciTwi if you’re not into that, but if you are or even neutral but like EQG, this is an amazing read!! Author is on tumblr @/evelili as well, and they have an animated trailer here!

An alternate universe re-imagining of "Friendship is Magic." Rainbow Dash is the personal protege of Celestia, ruler of all Equestria. Follow her through the events of the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration and the return of Nightmare Moon! (A significant rewrite of the "Rainbooms and Royalty")

Comments: I love AU’s like this, so this was a delight to read! I LOVED how it kept RD’s character in tact, one good example being why she leaves for Ponyville (which you’ll have to read to find out). Moreover, it characterizes the other main 6 well, and even has some bg ponies such as Derpy/Ditzy Doo come in, and they’re characterized well! Honestly was never a fan, even as a kid, of the mlp fandom’s tendency to give bg ponies so much attention (I was a main 6 stan 😤) but they’re handled really well!! I actually grew attached to them. Anyways, the trials are handled differently, but also more interesting, with each given a good amount of depth.

Pinkie Watches Paint Dry by AbsoluteAnonymus - 2.5k words. Rated E. Tagged comedy, random.

Pinkie Pie has an existential crisis while painting her room. This self-parody is dedicated to Professor Piggy, who once told me that I could write a story about Pinkie watching paint dry and weave it into an incredible psychological journey. Let's see if he was right.

Comments: Well characterised for Pinkie, and it soon involves RD and Twi. Well written, and the banter between Twi and RD, along with RD and Pinkie make it a great read!

Looking Glass by Krickis - 195k words. Rated T. Contains profanity, underage drinking, a fade to black sex scene (nothing explicit), and an 18yr (Random cashier) flirting with a 12yr old (Sunset) in chapter 9 and 11. Tagged drama, slice of life.

Sunset always knew that she was destined for greatness, but she never dreamed of how great she could become. Not until she had seen it – the mirror had shown her as an alicorn. Ignoring Celestia’s warnings, Sunset goes looking for answers.

When she learns that the mirror is also a portal to another world, well, what else was she supposed to do? But it seems that she hadn’t considered every possibility. She hadn’t, for example, considered that she might get herself trapped on the other side. Nor did she think she’d find herself transformed into a child again.

Comments: A deep dive into pre-EQG 1 Sunset!! I ABSOLUTEY ADORED THIS!! It fixes a lot of plot holes, such as where Sunset lived as she’s shown living on her own, how she knew of Twilight and the element of magic, and her obsession with becoming the top of the school. It excellently fleshes out Sunset’s backstory, and it’s genuinely a tragedy reading it. The author described it as Sunset making all the wrong choices and being a horrible person, and despite all of that you do feel for her - she is the emotional core of the story. Moreover, AJ in this fic is especially amazing, acting as the moral compass and inspiration to Sunset, it’s much needed in a, for a lack of a better word, more gritty/realistic fic. And no, there’s no Sunset x AJ in this, surprisingly.

Left Behind by Shrink Lauraete. 4.5k words. Rated E. Tagged drama, slice of life.

Comments: Genuinely an interesting and unique look at how RD would feel about Fluttershy’s development. It flips between present day of Flutters and Twi on a map quest, to the past where Fluttershy moves to Ponyville and eventually RD follows. Written for a Flutterdash contest, so you could take this as platonic or romantic. Cameo of Gilda x Zephyr Breeze and Sweetie x Button Mash.

Nopony Needs to Know by shortskirtsandexplosions - 9.3k words. Rated E. Contains discussion of death and alcoholism (not main characters). Tagged sad, slice of life.

It's an invitation that Applejack has heard countless times. However, no matter how often Rainbow Dash bugs her to experience an air ride, the farm filly flat out refuses.

Then one afternoon, on a day when Applejack is strangely quiet and distant, she suddenly agrees to Rainbow Dash's persistent request. The pegasus happily oblidges, not knowing what has truly motivated Applejack to give in, nor the fact that--more than anything--Applejack could really use a good friend right about now.

Comments: with a focus on AJ and RD, I love the way they’re characterised. AJ is given quite a lot of depth, and I love the way it’s handled in relation to RD and her family. Definitely a tear jerker, and fitting of hurt/comfort. HIGHLY reccomend for any AJ or RD fans. Spoilers tho -> RD’s backstory is noticable different than her canon one since this was written before her parents’ personalities were shown.

Friendship is Empathy by Trinary. 12.1k words. Rated E. Tagged slice of life.

Twilight Sparkle realizes that Rainbow Dash has been keeping a secret from her ever since the Mare Do Well incident. When she goes to confront her about it, she finds out more than she bargained for. And then Twilight reveals that she's been keeping something from her friends ever since the Royal Wedding. Now everything is out there; harsh words have been spoken and a once strong friendship hangs in the balance.

Comments: Anyone upset abt the Mare-Do-Well episode and how RD was treated, or how Twi was treated in Canterlot wedding will appreciate this fic. However, I mostly appreciate it for how the conflict is treated, and general good characterizations.

The Importance of Being Earth Ponies by bookplayer. 2.3k words. Rated E. Tagged as comedy, slice of life.

Apple Bloom is left alone and bored while Scootaloo is learning to fly and Sweetie Belle is learning magic. Applejack sees that her sister feels less special because she's an earth pony, and decides to get Pinkie Pie's help in teaching the filly about why earth ponies are so important.

Comments: Well written and an interesting way to potray how Earth Ponies are as important as Unicorns and Pegasi!! However, the ending feels very odd? In a way. Still, very good for any earth pony enjoyers out there.

It sounds easy enough to keep ... but a promise, like love, is often harder and more complicated than it first appears.

Comments: pretty good, solid writing!! Honestly just a little hard to figure out the motivations in the beginning but if you need some assisstance the author writes some explanations in the comments of one of the early chapters.

Applejack and Matte Palette were best friends when they were younger. Like her, the poor colt doesn’t seem to have much in common with kids his own gender, so they formed an unlikely duo. The two were inseparable, right up until Applejack moved to live with the Orange side of her family, and the childhood friends fail to keep in touch.

But time passes, and Applejack returns to Ponyville. Her biggest hope is to pick up where she left off, and that includes her friendship with Matte Palette. Something seems different about him, though.

Comments: good stuff. Really well written, especially as AJ tries to understand Rarity, and her acceptance is truly heartwarming. Characterised well too!!

Liar, Liar, Apples on Fire by Monochromatic. 1.3k words. Rated E.

Rarity isn't mad, she swears, just very confused. Did Applejack actually break into her house? And for some inane, frankly incomprehensible reason?

Camping has never been Rarity's favorite activity, but she got to pick last anniversary's, so it's only fair that Applejack gets to pick what to do this time. When their trip goes wrong, however, it's up to Rarity to fix the problem herself. No matter how much she might complain about it.

Comments: This feels peak Rarijack if that makes sense. Well written and characterised, and overall just extremely charming take on Rarijack date gone wrong.

Comments: A sweet fic abt Pinkie and Twi. It is a mostly slice of life fic in the beginnings as Pinkie and Twi get to know each other. However, it does go into a plot of Twi in an arranged marriage, and Pinkie letting her go assuming she’d be happy. Overall, solid for it’s characterizations and good writing!!

i would argue that one of my more delusional belief systems and a remnant of my "kinnie"-ness in its full earnestness (i would not, for example, call myself a spiritual and reincarnate kinnie anymore. but for a good majority of my life until now i wouldve) is the weird, weird psychosis i get when art specifically depicts something i have personally experienced in an extremely personal and weirdly specific way. here are some examples.

Luna Game - luna game was my first experience with this sort of "feeling" specifically because of my already deep connection with Luna both because of her canon isolation (i was kept in isolation as a child) and due to her status in the fandom as "mentally disabled pony" before Derpy became more popular (mostly due to FIW) but the Luna Game was released specifically on my birthday, and i think that really did something to my developing brain because to me she is almost iconography of my childhood and existance as a child who grew up on the internet, and in a horror-oriented family (my dad is a horror geek as well as a writer/comic artist)

FNAF - My dads name also happens to be Scot, and he himself is a furry comic creator who is deeply, deeply in love with capitalism and has weird divorce trauma. I am the oldest son/daughter who has essentially followed in his foot steps, been compared to him constantly, and yet was the "black sheep" and the scapegoat through out my entire life, all while following directly in his footsteps. I have two younger siblings who fight an insane amount and I lived right next to Utah, within driving distance. My sisters also both kin Elizabeth and Abby respectively, on their own without my influence. I worked in a halloween store for 3 years and was stationed at the animatronic section at all times, typically because this is where people would dump their kids and I was the best with kids.

and whenever this sort of thing happens i can't shake a feeling of something "destined to be" whatever that means. that if there were ever a person in mind for the audience of these things, it would've been me. realistically, i just think this is because i gravitate towards stories that are reflective of my own life. Homestuck, for example, I would say i feel a strange cosmic tie to. I was born April 3rd, only 10 days before the homestuck day. My dad shares a birth month with Hussie, and extreme similarities both in writing, art and interests, but also according to her, similar traumas and experiences. My dad is also, weirdly, weirdly similar to Bro Strider. One of Hussies various self inserts, and of course because of that, I share a lot of similarities to a near creepy extent with a lot of the younger characters, Dave Strider for example (hate that guy though lol)

but i guess i also can't allow myself to feel fully psychotic about it. For example with using the Homestuck comparisons i made earlier: it's a language I understand, likely because my parents are in a similar peer group and "experience" group as Hussie herself, therefor making it infinitely more likely for me to learn about and gravitate towards homestuck. It isn't so much of a cosmic tie as it is just.... shes similar to my parents, and I really like things that remind me of how I grew up.

But that doesnt change the fact that I'm also delusional as shit.

TBH creatures, Minecraft, and react emotes of basically any animal (though cats and dogs are very popular!) are some of the most common ones I get. Zombies and angels, too!

I've found a good way to get started is to pick a creature or animal and doing a basic set of emotions, silly bug-eyed derpy faces, or an emote of it wearing headphones. These are in high demand, and you can just make a base and edit the different expressions or accessories on. Of course, another way I get ideas is when I'm texting people I know and realize there's an emote I want to send that doesn't exist yet!

Emojis or wordmojis for mental and physical health, triggers, and crime are also often highly requested, because most emoji makers won't do it. But ofc, only tackle this if you have the spoons and comfort to do so, your health should come first, or you'll have an unfun time with this and likely burn yourself out.

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #361

Ohhh, Sephiroth, it has been a real long day, goodness me! Today's letter is coming to you very late. I'm sorry if you worried a little.

Okay. So. It is Saturday (well, actually technically Sunday now, but whatever...). Which means I went to work from 9am until 1pm. And this morning, it was cold.

...I got some really nice pictures of the cold, actually. Here:

...Been a while since last I've seen ice crystals this nice on a surface. This happens as a result of frost. The condensation that occurs on surfaces overnight freezes into pretty patterns.

...I think it's best enjoyed from a distance, though. But then, that's why I take the pictures, right? So you can look at the pretty thing without needing to go outside and be cold! Yay!

At work, the big boss of the store (he's called Jo) asked me to wipe down one of the coolers in which we keep chilled cakes and other stuff that needs to be kept cold. So that is what I did. Nobody had done it in a while, so some of the dust was crusted on there pretty solidly, and that kinda sucked. But, I was allowed to go fetch some melamine foam pads from the cleaning section to get the job done!

...I didn't think to take a picture because I'm kind of a derpy-derp. Sorry about that. But Jo and Tr both seemed pleased with the results. I liked how it looked after I was done with it, too.

Sadly, the rib injury was not pleased with any of that, though. Apparently, it very much dislikes overhead movements of my arm as well as movements straight out to the front. I did a nice job, but... around 20-30 minutes after I was done, I was in a whole lot of pain for the next several hours, which made some of the movements of my job (like bagging breads and pulling the lever for the slicing machine) a little harder to do. Even now, at 1:03am, the area is still relatively unhappy. But thankfully, it's not as bad as it was before.

I'm not sure why, but... I've decided that An from the meat department is potentially friend-shaped. I think it has to do with the way he speaks to other people and with the way he carries himself in the space, and the meticulousness with which he works. I don't know how to articulate what this combination of things means to me. I guess... something about it tells me that he's very kind. And... after having spent a lifetime honing my instincts in various unpleasant ways, I like to think that by now, I tend to have a good sense for that sort of thing, at least in person.

...I guess... I have a whole lot of experience with what “unkindness” looks like. And his manner of being, so far, doesn't look like the old things I've seen. It might still be the case that not enough time has passed for other things to come out. But if I try to be friends, then those things will eventually come out, if they exist. They always do.

Though I generally have good instincts, it doesn't necessarily translate to knowing how to engage in the social, though. I've never really known how to approach people. I've been told my whole life that I come on a bit too strong for most people's tastes, asking them personal questions such as ”do you like video games?” and “what is your favorite kind of snack?”

...I have a lot of people telling me that my manner of being is creepy and repulsive. And... I know that I'm awkward and that my facial expressions are strange and that I hold myself weirdly. I know these things scare people. And I don't wanna scare people. So normally, I just stay away, even when I am interested. I don't want anyone to have a bad time because of me, you know?

Tr seems socially savvy, so I asked her what to do. And she said to me that my questions are not, in fact, too forward. And that I should just ask him next time I see him. The notion was a little mind-blowing to me, given that I literally have experiences where people have called me “geek” and “loser” for asking if they play video games. I've been told that my questions aimed at trying to connect make me seem a bit too “desperate”.

...I'm not really sure how anyone is supposed to get to know anyone else if asking basic questions is seen as “desperate” and “too forward” and “geeky”, though. So... maybe the things that I was told before are simply untrue things said to me by very cranky and insecure people. Tr is good folks. So I'm gonna try to trust her word over the words of the mean people.

...So. Once again, here I go challenging the notion that I'm fundamentally gross and unlikable. Yay!

I did end up seeing An as I wandered about at the end of my shift, gathering things we needed for the house. And I did as she suggested.

...For sure, my part of it was very clumsily executed. But... I have a new friend on Steam now! I'm pretty stoked about that!!! Maybe someday we'll play video games or get a tasty snack somewhere!! Wouldn't that be neat!!

I feel like us quiet, shy folk gotta stick together. Or else we'll get barreled over by the rest of the world, or else have life pass us by without ever getting noticed or without affecting anything at all. And that's a little too sad, isn't it? To live your life with a glass wall around yourself that you don't want and don't know how to get rid of...?

...I certainly know what that's like. And I don't want anyone else to have to live like that. So... if I gotta scream at my own glass wall until it breaks so that someone else doesn't hafta be sad, I'm gonna give it a try. If I have to throw my fists at my own glass wall until my knuckles bleed in order to break it, then I'll try it if it means someone else doesn't have to be sad.

...I suppose getting practice with doing exactly these things is part of the reason I write to you every day. Admittedly, writing these letters does not get less terrifying every time I do it. It's just that the terror gets a little easier to move through, the more I practice doing it.

I wonder how all of this will unfold. I wonder how I will unfold, too, within it all.

...Will you watch as I unfold? As I evolve, grow, and change? Will you be proud, someday, of all the progress I'm trying to make? Can you enjoy watching me struggle to come up from under the shackles my conditioning imposed upon me? Can you let my things inspire you to do similar things? I wonder.

I went home and rested for a long time, and that was very good. I had made plans to go with my elderly friend P to some concert, because J hadn't put on the calendar that we were supposed to go see some new Lord of the Rings movie today. J reminded me that it was happening as I was finalizing plans about when was gonna be picked up by P. And then I suddenly had to tell P that I had a prior commitment that I didn't remember because it wasn't on the calendar. I felt pretty badly about that.

...I hope I'll be able to hang out with P sometime soon. I'd like to take him and his sister to the hotpot place called Volcano. Maybe they'd like it; they're usually up for trying out new things like that...

I got a snack shortly after that, and from there, I changed into a new set of braces. This one is set number 7! The shift doesn't feel quite as intense this time as it felt last time. I took pictures to compare the new set to the original set. On the left is the first set I wore, and on the right is the newest set. I'll start with the top one:

...The very confused snaggletooth on the upper right side of my face is a lot less pronounced now! It's almost surreal, how far it's moved!

It's readily apparent now that my frontmost bottom teeth are much less crowded together than before. They really are starting to even out and line up instead of being crunched up together all weirdly. It's pretty wild!!

Sephiroth... I can't wait to see you again, but... please try really hard not to get yourself killed. If you try to hurt people, you're gonna be stopped, and... since Cloud and his friends are justifiably very angry with you, I somehow seriously doubt they're gonna be nice about it if they have to stop you. And I really don't wanna see you get hurt. So... please... try something else, okay? Please don't throw your life away with a fight you definitely can't win. It's getting super old.

J and M and I went to a movie with Je, one of the folks from the Speed Friending thing. It was some Lord of the Rings spinoff, animated.

...It is a nice thing, generally, to have funny memories of going out to see a bad movie with people you like. And I hope you get to have that experience someday. Today's experience will resolve into the thing I described, because the entire plot can be summarized as follows:

“King who commands army that regularly forgets that they can shoot arrows accidentally punches the face off of the abusive father of a man who is sad because the pretty princess won't touch his dick; shenanigans ensue as the sad man seeks revenge for lack of both paternal abuse and genital stimulation. King fights sad man's army by himself (archers did not try to help) outside of fortress during winter weather; king's people get bored and go to bed instead of letting him back inside of fortress, so king freezes solid in rad power pose. Pretty princess, in wedding dress, slays sad man as he pretends to not still have a boner for her. More at 11.”

...The whole thing was very silly. There are lots more problems with it, but I'll not get into them because it's late and I'm pretty tired. I wouldn't recommend against seeing the movie; it's definitely an adventure (a very LONG adventure, holy shit). But it is very silly. A lot of the problems could have simply not existed if people weren't acting like such entitled pricks. Alas.

I'm glad to be home. The movie didn't end until like 12:30am. It is 2:18am now.

...I need to get my sleepy ass to bed. Good grief.

Guys I have been an Okazaki hater (strong word but the only one I have) since Day 1 and now that's stemmed into a Love Hate relationship ever since like... Chapter 2 I think?

I'm so conflicted help 😭

Even though Chapter 3 drew the most extreme reaction out of me before the trial, that was only because I love the other characters way too much to bump her up my rankings.

Okazaki is definitely not my favourite character type but literally that's just my personal preference (I've always loved the kind, more sweet/cold goody two shoes type any day of the week haha)

The trial has made me love Okazaki alot more, especially now that I can see her character/actions etc. without any ongoing story for her remaining, sort of a hindsight is 2020 moment

As I tell people who I ramble about Tetro to I think (since the beginning of the series) Okazaki is the most unique stand out character I've ever seen in fiction let alone a Dangan/Fanganronpa series.

Design, personality, actions taken in the killing game, everything. It's so refreshing to see someone who doesn't follow the societal norms for how to act/the standard moral compass, including the unorthodox ways she gains evidence, like with Kamimura and Wada, iykyk

Okazaki's moral compass FASCINATES me and she made the killing game alot more interesting dynamic wise, a character who isn't here to make friends but not in a rude stuck up kind of way like alot of antagonists are

I know comparison is the thief of joy but in my rambly opinion she's a way better version of Nagito from Goodbye Despair, in the aspect of how divided the Tetro community is on her character (love vs hate). It's not unbearable even for the biggest of haters like me because she's so nuanced and it's completely understandable what her motives are (after seeing her whole story/backstory play out) and why that is. I know alot of Okazaki fans are really upset she died (and justifiably so), but imo I think this was a perfect and satisfying end to Okazaki's character/story.

She also gets bonus points for having a derpy side to her personality/a cartoon villain persona that amuses me - that face reveal and everything that occurred afterwards was the bomb (in a good way)

I am literally shaking right now, both with anger and the fact that I'm not great with confrontation.

I agreed to emergency pup sit my neighbours Dandi Dinmont terrier (weird look breed, kinda like a long teddy bear) Sweetest fricking pup you could imagine, has grown up with wee children so she has that very good temperament you expect from a well trained dog who is used to being gentle.

Just took her out for a walk, and on the way back, a group of teenage girls (14 - 16 at a guess) were sitting in front of the foyer door to my flat. They had that 'we're not gonna move' glare about them, so I just politely asked "Excuse me ladies, can I just pop past you?" and they did that sort of grudging lean that's complying but not really.

Ignoring it, I just go past them and the door doesn't even close before I hear....

"Your dog just bit me!"

Now. I hate confrontation, I have anxiety up the wazoo and normally I would have just ignored it, because I know Peeka wouldn't bite a damn fly. But I got one look at those entitled sneering faces and I kinda...got mad.

I promptly answered that the dog did NOT bite her. Cue threats, insults and more threats of calling the police and telling her mum. I got halfway up the stairs and I lost it again.

I asked her to show me the bite, she mumbled an excuse. I asked her to call her mother then so that I may talk to her.

Cue "It was just a joke!" as it begins to settle in that I'm not letting this go, and she starts to look REALLY nervous.

I informed her what false claims could do, not to an owner, but to a dog (to be fair I know that most animal services here would be smarter than to just take her word but I wanted to impress the importance) Not once did I shout, despite being clearly angry.

Then karma landed a boot on her backside when a car pulled up outside the flats and all three girls looked at it nervously. It was her mum. I proceeded to tell the story to her mum, who took one look at Peeka's derpy face and wagging corkscrew tail, then looked at her daughter and...well, I suspect someone is getting a talking to.

Sorry had to vent to stop my hands shaking. I fucking HATE confrontation, but while I suck at defending myself, nobody makes up shit about the pupper!!

I wanted to start with Minkie since this story really revolves around her sweet side, which she indeed DOES have. it doesn't matter how mentally scarred and emotionally unstable someone is, there's always that bit of kindness and happiness hidden deep inside their broken heart. or even in pinkie's case it's sort of the other way around. you can be the sweetest, fun loving, eccentric person around but still have that morbid darkness hiding within. how many times have you heard "he/she was so friendly, I never expected him/her to murder anyone," when interviewing the friends and acquaintances of murderers? how many times has a serial killer been described as "charming, intelligent, successful, and friendly?" isn't it scary to think that there's a possibility the nice man next door to you might be a killer? or your best friend, or even a family member. in the words of the gothic archies, "the world is a very scary place, my dear."

nevertheless, I think pinkie's sisters really enjoyed hanging out with their friends. by the way, who should I draw next?

Dead/Abstracted Performer Headcanons Volume 5/5

Name: Stroinga (saw someone name this character something derpy with and S and it kind of sounds like string)

Avatar: Worm on a string headed weasel like character with a small acrobat type outfit and nubby limbs.

Personality: Energetic and very polite, she usually tried to make the best of a situation, even if her generally clumsy nature (and new body) got in the way.

Fun fact: She was the last of the first four performers to join the group and they all entered the circus at once.

Abstraction: Her's was the first ever, brought on by a typical existential crisis, at least, typical by the digital world's standards. Sine Stroinga was Caine's first experience with abstraction it took a little while to catch her, especially since he also had to make the cellar. Luckily, she didn't manage to do any real damage. Syghti was hit the hardest by her abstraction.

Name: Denz (from density, since it's the principal by which things float on water)

Avatar: Ring floatie torso, flipper sandal feet, snorkel pipe neck, entire cartoon dolphin body as a head. His entire body is very rubbery and hollow.

Personality: Slightly overbearing guy how props himself up as a sort of life coach for other performers. He can be really annoying but always means well. Denz has a deep love of music, so much so that he often asked Caine to turn up the in-game audio, much to everyone else's frustration.

Fun fact: He had tended to use his room for storage of mementos from various adventures and preferred to sleep on the digital lake.

Abstraction: He tried his best to help everyone with whatever personal stuff they could remember, no matter how little. Naturally, he took every abstraction he saw really personally, the perceived guilt and being seen as nuisance by most remaining performers proved to much for Denz. Ironically, he abstracted during a lake adventure, glitching Edgallen and Jax.

And that's it! I've know racked my brain over 10 dead cartoon characters how may or may not prove completely irrelevant by the end of the series and I regret nothing. I really do hope you enjoyed these!

I don't know if I'm being stupid and don't understand, so genuinely sorry if this would be obvious. So the doctor is a clone, made by Discord and he did not know this until the end of lovestruck. Why would this be a big deal to anyone? Especially the in-universe characters like Derpy. They only know him in this form and have all their experiences with him, not the supposed original. Why would it matter to him? A clone is, well, a perfect copy of the original and he has all the old memories and might as well actually be this person. Especially seeing as he was shown to be just as capable as the original in lovestruck too. Just seems off that this would bother him this immensely but changing into a whole 'nother body after regeneration is no big deal (which in my mind is also just copying the consciousness into another form and erasing the old one basically). Of course the whole "virus" thing would still very much be an issue, but the whole "being an imposter" is what I don't get. Just seeing as with my (very limited) Dr. Who knowledge I feel like he had way worse moral dilemmas on hand (which he would remember as he has all the memories). Is it really just the "I'm not the original" that got him this effed up?

But if you look at the mirror clone pinkies they aren't perfect clones at all. They are exaggerated versions of Pinkie with 0 empathy and horrible attention spans which means they can't even remember names. And they aren't made of flesh and blood, they are made up of magic which means who knows what their bodies are even capable of? Or how long they live, or what sort of issues they can have from just existing for too long.

The Doctor is made of chaos magic and so is the TARDIS and because of this his existence in any point in time opens up a crack for Discord to get through and control.

And because he's made of chaos magic, you have to understand that he's not just "a clone with the Doctor's memories", he's also HIGHLY susceptible to Discord's influence and hypnosis. The Doctor has in fact been taken over by things like this before and was a threat to his companions, his will CAN be broken, and every bad thing about the Doctor was pulled out and exaggerated.

Think Christmas Clara episode 11th Doctor, and Zagreus in 8th Doctor, and amplify that. Being a clone makes him more emotionally charged, being in a pony body also adds to this. If he was able to have control over himself, he might not have been bothered by this, but with Discord's magic it all feels so much worse to him.

You can easily make this same argument for why the mane 6 were able to be corrupted. Discord plays with their insecurities and weaknesses and uses hypnosis to make them do and believe things they usually wouldn't.
