Yoongi dreamt of breaking out of poverty for years, becoming someone who could live by without accepting dirty jobs and breaking into people's home, running away from the guards. He dreams of a word where he and his friends could live happily. When they receive a new job and offer them an incredible amount of money, it's not even question if they would take it or not. But, when Yoongi stepped into the palace he didn't think that he would leave the place with a successful job and an escaping prince.

This is the Aladdin AU I had going for a bit (not the Bleeding Magic one, but still adjacent to that storyline a bit lol)! I didn't have everything figured out with it, but did like the thought of him being both a missing prince AND a human turned genie and that Shak, the young princess left behind, might not realize that finding the genie lamp would also mean finding her long lost brother in one go and get her wish. She attempted to sneak out to do this and ran into Daniel and Hoagie then. She was unsuccessful then, but realized he could help her and also her help him in the process to both get what they want. In this AU, Jayce was a young prince looking for a power source to help his people, and his royal vizier, Viktor, didn't think it was wise. He brought him to the source and Jayce unwittingly fell trap to becoming a genie and getting trapped into the lamp. Viktor is blamed for his disappearance/assumed death and is killed. Camilla takes over as royal vizier, as well as most of the kingdom in absence of an old enough heir and is keen in staying in power. Lucy is her top guard. At this point in the story, it'd be similar to the live action version of the vizier doubting Jayce's legitimacy as the missing prince, but mostly wanting to get her hands on the lamp herself having learned of its power. He and Lucy had already started to fall for each other in that time and she's torn on who to have loyalty then when she's commanded to push him out of the tower tied up into the sea. He's pushed anyway and Lucy goes after him to save him, but comes to the shock of her life lol He isn't going to let her die trying to save him however, and would reveal his true form in order to do so.

I just read your thoughts about Scarabia and Leona's arc development in game, and I got very interested.

There's very little info on Arabian culture online, at least that I've seen, and also African. A thing that makes me very curious is about their mythologies, folklore, and also music. We know a lot about food, since it's something so universal, but the rest is hard to get info on, unless it gets popularized or romanticized by someone else.

The scarabia arc is one of my favorites for a reason, and that is because I'm very sympathetic with Jamil, and very sad how his and Kalim's story together got so "twisted" so fast (ehe). Honestly there are so many layers to it that it would take many many chapters, and events, to close the situation. But I think it's good they left the future open like that, since it's something that can't be fixed overnight.

And also, *gets down* PLS PLS PLS PLS 🙏 I love the fluffy fics, are you going to also add Bolllywood songs? They are so good seriously it's so dancing and fun! I love Jamil so much and I MELTED with the headcanon short fic where we are taking care of him. I wanna hold his precious handsome face and just kiss it all over! He is so cute I will go FERAL-

hey qamar 💕 this was a pleasure to read! honestly, i feel like both the scarabia and savannaclaw chapters were too short? of course, we were introduced to the themes and then the whole conflict—resolution mountain for stories, however i just feel like they could have done more with the both of them.

also, i think the reason why the southwest-asian and african themes aren’t covered is because the source material is literally disney films 💀 like we get a warning before rewatching aladdin since they just now realized it was kind of racist (still a major part of my childhood though 😭 “a whole new world” in arabic is delicious). based on how yana has written other characters that are meant to be from south asia, there’s a big chance it would have been disappointing anyways.

plus, with scarabia in particular, there’s too many cultures trying to be represented due to how colonizers deemed all of the countries to be the same thing in different fonts 💀 you’d never confuse a nepali with an omani, but winston churchill sure did not care.

the original aladdin movie was meant to take place in baghdad, a city in iraq, but due to political conflicts at the time (george bush a war criminal regardless of saddam hussein’s crimes. the usa literally gave saddam weapons to kill kurds and then turned around and invaded when he wasn’t convenient anymore 💀). baghdad became agrabah—but the culture is still an amalgamation of west asian, south asian, north african, and like eurasian/turkish culture. im sure they’ve got stuff from central asia too 😭

the issue with this is that from ethnic group to ethnic group/country to country, the culture varies a lot. yemenis and palestinians are both arabs, but our cultures are vastly different, with yemenis having more eastern african influences and palestinians having mediterranean influences. i personally headcanon the scarabia duo as arab, but honestly, they could be from anywhere. for all we know, kalim is afghan and jamil is tunisian—it’s all up in the air due to the original source material. but i digress!! i rambled a lot 😭

ON THE BOLLYWOOD NOTE! omg this brought so many good memories back. we used to watch bollywood films with shitty arabic dubs �� i miss those days. i love that idea and ive always wanted to write bollywood inspired fics, like based on the crazy and unrealistic romantic moments in bollywood. it’s just so much fun lmao. honestly, i think that’s a great idea especially when so many bollywood songs just lead the listener through a story anyways. im so glad you enjoy my fics!!! that’s very sweet 💕 have a great day, qamar, and take care of yourself

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who lived in a lavished palace.

She was forbidden to go beyond the palace walls and was forced to follow unjust practices,

because of her status as the Sultan’s daughter. 

The princess felt suffocated by the restrictions of her kingdom’s law and left her with the desire to 

see the world and experience life outside of being a sheltered princess. 

One day, the princess overheard a gossip from the maids of a magical gateway that leads to another world, different from theirs. 

Blinded by her desire to live a life where she is free to make her own decisions, 

the beautiful princess decides to disguise herself as a peasant and escape the palace and seek this magical gateway. 

It was a stroke of luck that she succeded. 

The beautiful princess left her life as a sheltered princess and entered a whole new world. 

A world far from what she knows,

From what she is familiar with.

However, the taste of freedom and the thrill of independence were enough to satisfy the princess. 

Enough to discard her worries and fear of being alone in a foreign place.

Because she met a Street Magician who helped her get by. 

Teaching her the ways of the world, how to survive to fend for herself.

The beautiful princess lived in happiness and life as the sheltered princess became a distant memory.

Unaware of what the future holds.

Blue Naga! Wally x Reader: Cuddles.

This is a cuddle fanfiction with a different Naga version of Wally Darling, which I imagined. In this au, Wally, instead of having a rainbow-coloured tail, like my main Naga au, he looks basically like Naga!Aladdin from the Aladdin classic tv episode, Eye of the Beholder. His hands touches my cheeks…It's so uncanny…There are scaly and slightly cold…But the longer they stay there…The more my heat seems to reverbate on them…It's radiating.

Why, the only human part, well as human as a puppet-naga-man can be is his fleecy yellow face. It's red eyes not just from being adapted to slithering close to the ground…

He humms, his tiny tongue flickering…He seems to know what I want…But is too kind to act upon it without my blessing. I nod.

He wraps his arms around me and ever so gently, pulls me to his chest. I jump a tiny bit. It's cold as well…But then, my body heat acts upon it. My breath trembles a little as I hear his heartbeat.

Then, I just allow myself to close my eyes…Until the tip of his tail featherly touches my waist. I jump a tiny bit, again.

I'm sorry. May I?

I say yes in a hush…His tail gently coils around my waist…Then my belly…Like a protective cocoon.

But then, I feel the tip hover above my chest…Again…He looks down with a concerned look.

May I?

I nod but looks a tiny bit uncertain. He catches it and very gently wrap around my chest. Barely touching it. I now look like a loosely swaddled baby. He gently begins to stroke my hair, scaly fingers with small claws curved. The cocoon radiates warmth…

I suddenly feel mischevious. The tip of his tail is right above my mouth.

(Gasp)!

I take it in my mouth. He jumps and I clearly feel his shiver. I look at him with an impish, half-sorry, half-not-sorry smile, head titled. He smirks and hisses a grin, eyes closed and dimpled cheeks. He then looks down amorously at me. A deep nuzzle in my hair, then he lies down more, me on top of him, still cocooned. Protected, shielded, adorned, cherished…In an egg of safety.

Matt: Your majesty certainly has a way with dumb animals. (Iago/Sunburn glares at him) Now then, perhaps I can divine a solution to this thorny problem

Gerald: If anyone can help, it's you

Matt: Ah, but it would require the use of the mystic blue diamond.

Gerald: Uh, my ring? But it's been in the family for years

Matt: It is necessary to find a princess a suitor (He turns his staff with a cobra head towards The Sultan/Gerald. The eyes began to glow. The room darkens and his voice slows down and deepens. The Sultan/Gerald's eyes get a hypnotised look.) Don't worry, everything will be fine

Gerald: Everything... will be... fine

Matt: The diamond

Gerald: Here, Jafar/Matt. Whatever you need will be fine

[The Sultan/Gerald removes the ring and hands it to Jafar/Matt. The room returns to normal as Jafar/Matt pulls back the staff]
