Tumblr media
You had been overly busy, overwhelmed with the labor that the Commonwealth had brought upon you. Having to deal with the changes of when the world just fell was difficult enough, finally adjusting to the wickedness and horrors of this world just to have to adjust to how the world used to be all over again? It’s been a hassle on you and Daryl’s backs.
Before the world had fallen, you were still in college, studying and planning to pursue to become a doctor. When you arrived at the Commonwealth, you had been beyond confused what your occupation before the apocalypse had anything to do with why you should’ve been accepted into this place, soon finding out that you would receive a position of employment that would be just like what you used to be before everything went down.
Not only have you been beyond exhausted with your position, lately Nabila has needed extra assistance with her and the children, and who are you to decline? You’ve always been a shoulder that your family can lean on.
Today was finally one of those days that you had off, and of course you had spent the majority of your day babysitting the children. You didn’t hate spending time with them, in fact, you enjoyed it. But you were beyond exhausted and craved some time alone with your unofficial husband, Daryl.
It was around around 9:45 pm at night, and you at last entered your shared apartment. The silence was loud, feeling ringing in your ears from it. Judith and RJ had been at Carol’s house for the day, and Daryl had been out being a soldier for our community, so you were accompanied with quietness and some time for yourself. It was honestly quite comforting, considering how overwhelmed you have felt lately.
You had sat down on your couch, pinching the space between your eyes that rested at the top of your nose and closing your eyes. “God..” you let out a sigh, feeling drained and spent. You gave yourself a couple seconds of emptiness then proceeded to get up and head for your shared bedroom with Daryl.
You placed your bag around one of the clothing hangers in your closet, and made your way to your dresser. You picked out a pair of panties, and a nightgown. With your clothes in hand, you headed towards the bathroom. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you gave yourself a moment to reflect on all the events that took place before finally arriving at the Commonwealth. All the loses.. Carl, Glenn, Abraham, Sasha, Jesus, Tara and the list still goes on! You can't help but miss them and wish they were here to see the community that has been built here.
You catch yourself lost in your train of thought, and then work on stripping yourself of your clothes. You move to turn on the water, giving it a moment to get warm, then getting into the shower.
Tumblr media
After your shower, you quickly slipped into your clean nightgown and panties. You took your used and dirty clothes and stuffed them into a basket, where you and Daryl’s laundry needed to be done. Standing next to your’s and Daryl’s queen sized bed, you quickly got comfortable under the sheets. A sigh left your lips, thinking of how much your mind and soul craved Daryl. Lately, you guys have had no time for yourselves.
You and Daryl have known each other since the quarry in Atlanta. At first, you thought he hated you, but sooner or later you realized that he isn’t one for communication. He showed his acts of love through his actions, always making sure you were safe.
Since the quarry, you had always stuck by his side. Sticking up for him when Rick, Glenn, T-dog and the others decided to leave his brother Merle on a rooftop alone. Daryl had refused your company at first, but with time, he warmed up to you and tolerated your presence. And eventually, he found himself falling for you, but of course you were the one to make the first move on him.
When you guys had arrived at the prison, that is when you made your move. It took a lot of self sabotaging on Daryl’s part before you guys had become official. And even then, Daryl isn’t particularly fond of label’s.
It had taken a lot of time for Daryl to start opening up to you even after you guys had established your love for each other. It was also awhile of staying at Alexandria for you guys to start getting intimate. Eventually with each other’s time together, you learned all about his trauma’s, the backstory of his scars and his childhood.
You were utterly in love with Daryl Dixon, and he was in love with you, he just had trouble saying those things out loud.
Your train of thought was interrupted by the sound of the door opening, your tummy immediately felt as if it was filled with butterflies while blood rushes to your face, knowing that it was Daryl finally coming home.
You lift your head up as Daryl enters your shared bedroom, he looks tired, exhausted.. His hair is laced with sweat while he’s in the commonwealth’s standardized white-color armor. You’ve always thought he looked quite handsome coming back from a run.
“Hey..” you begin to sit up, now facing your lover.
“Hey.” he gruffed out. Your heart began to ache as your thoughts were laced with worry. Daryl has been so worn out lately, and has barely had any time to see you. What if he was starting to lose the attraction he had for you? What if he was starting to realize he’s interested in someone else? That possibility could become a reality considering you found yourselves in a community of 50 thousand other people.
“So, how was the run today?” You try your hardest to ease the silence, the quietness that had comforted you earlier was no longer comforting. Your nerves began to eat you from the inside out that you began to fidget with your thumbs, that’s something you’d always do when you were nervous, everybody knew.
Daryl knew.
“It was ‘ight.” He quickly took notice of how you began to fidget.
“Wha’ is wrong with ya?” He looked right into your eyes, his tone infected with slight concern. He was waiting for your response as he began to take off the annoying armor that he was required to wear.
Your heart race began to speed up, worried that he would view you as insecure and pathetic, you decided to avoid telling him what you were truly worried about. “Nothing! Just.. had an exhausting week.” You hoped he’d take your answer and roll with it, you were deathly afraid of Daryl seeing you less than you are.
After Daryl finished taking off the armor, he decided to accept the answer you gave him for now. He was tired, and was in no mood to go back and forth.
“Daryl, you should probably take a shower.” you just wanted him to relax for once, even with Ezekiel being the leader of this place, he never once let his guard down and you just wanted him to finally rest.
“Hm. Ya wan’ to get in wit’ me?” Daryl is never one to initiate things, but one thing he always loved was being able to share a shower with you. It felt romantic. Intimate.
“I already showered. We can cuddle when you get out?” You didn’t think anything of your response, well that was until…
He let out what seemed like an annoyed grunt. He took his clothes and headed to the bathroom. You’ve never been more anxious. Did what you say bother him? Did you piss him off? You released an irritated grunt from your lips as you hear the shower head turn on. You decide to lay back down, feeling your brain fall into a spiral of unpleasant anxious thoughts.
Tumblr media
It’s been almost 20 minutes, and you’ve been in a complete swirl of negativity. Your chest felt heavy, feeling your heart completely sunken. Were you having an anxiety attack? You eventually hear the shower head stop and you could’ve sworn you were on the verge of passing out, since when were you so nervous around Daryl? You’ve always been super comfortable around him, feeling safe. Maybe it’s because of all this time trying to survive and to keep our loved one’s alive.
Hearing the sounds of him getting dressed, you can’t help but feel more uneasy. You were never fond of people being angry at you, and especially Daryl of all people. Sooner or later, the bathroom door opens. You look up and see Daryl wearing a regular dark gray T-shirt with gray sweatpants, he never was one to sleep without a shirt, considering his scars.
He walks over to the basket of clothes that needs to be washed, and puts the clothes that he was wearing under the uncomfortable set of white armor in the basket.
He looks in your direction, catching you once again fidgeting with your thumbs.
You refuse to look at him, feeling strong tension between you and him. Your breath hitches as you feel the bed dip, noticing that he was getting right into bed, next to you. He starts to get comfortable, getting under the sheets and closer to you.
The both of you lay completely flat on your backs, That’s when you feel him put his arm around your shoulder and pull you closer to him, head laying on his chest.
“I know somethin’ is up.” He takes your hand, making it rest on his chest. “Talk t’me.”
All the warmth went immediately to your face. It felt as if you stopped breathing for a moment, you didn’t wanna be difficult, that’s when you decided to just tell him about your worries, he has a right to know after all.
“Daryl, I'm scared.”
“Scared of wha’?”
Taking a deep breath, you continue. “I’m scared that one day you’ll realize that maybe i’m not enough for you.” You pause for a moment, then resume. “And, are you annoyed with me?”
His eyes widened a bit, it’s not what he was expecting. Not in the slightest. He lifts his head a little.
“Nah, m’not annoyed with ya.” He proceeds to lay on his side, facing towards you. “An’ why are ya thinkin’ ya wouldn't be enough?” From the bottom of his heart, he doesn’t have a single clue where this is coming from. Daryl is the most loyal person on this shitty earth, and he can swear up and down that he loves you to death.
“I don’t know.. We’ve been so busy lately getting used to the Commonwealth, and there are so many people here! So many options.. Maybe eventually you’ll realize that i’m not what you truly want.” Shamefully, the truth escapes your lips. You’ve never felt more insecure. Usually, you felt secure within your relationship, but the stress has truly gotten to your head.
He moves closer to your face, and puts his hand on your cheek, cupping the side of your face. His thumb gently rubbing against it.
“Don’t want nobody here but you.”
Your heart skips a beat, Daryl isn’t one for being upfront, and he isn’t the greatest at comforting people, but he loves you, and he’s very sure of that.
He locks eyes with you, admiring you and your beauty. For a second you could’ve sworn he had stolen a glance at your lips? Or maybe you were seeing things.
Your mind feels more at ease, and you break out a slight giggle “I’m sorry. I know I sound stupid, I just miss you.”
He uses his other hand to move your hair strand out your face, and cup the other side of your face, moving closer. “Ya’ don’t sound stupid.” He’s quick to lean in, closing the gap between the both of you, finally stealing a kiss from you.
His lips are kind of chapped, but oddly enough, still soft. The kiss was soft and tender, only having pure love behind it. Your eyes flutter open, just to see him staring at you. “I love you.”
Your lips curve up into a passive and cute smile, he never says it first.
“I love you too.”
You lean in for another kiss, the both of you have been so touch starved these past couple days. The kiss was gentle and sweet, but more ambitious. Even the slightest things about Daryl can get you going, and you sure as hell are in need of some sex. Especially after these couple weeks.
You lean more into the kiss, and that’s when you hear a grunt come from him. You swear you could turn into a puddle right then and there.
Eventually, you pull away, obviously needing to breathe. “Daryl, i’ve missed you.”
The corner of his lips turn into a slight smirk, and he begins to gently place his hand on the back of your head, playing with your hair.
“I know.”
That’s when he kisses you again, only this time using his hand on the back of your head to lean you in closer. This kiss was more needy.. More intimate.
You accidentally whine into the kiss, pressing your thighs together as you can already feel your panties start to get wet. He moves his hand from the back of your head to your waist, caressing and feeling your curves. He slowly makes his way to your thighs, where he takes the opportunity to pull you on top of him, and have you sitting on his lap while he lays on his back. You could feel his hard on.
“D-daryl.. I need you.” you say in a whine, you felt his cock twitch under you, he has his hands rested on your hips and has the most perfect view of you. He could stay like this forever.
“Yeah?” He said it in such a sweet and gentle tone it could drive you insane. One thing Daryl loved to do was tease you, he knew how flustered you could get. “Mhm.” You begin to tuck at his pants, looking into his eyes for approval.
With a slow nod, he consents. “G’on.” He wanted this as badly as you did, and tonight, he was going to make sure you were taken care of.
You were quick to go ahead and start to take off his pants and boxers while also taking off your nightgown, wanting nothing more than to feel his cock stretch out your tight cunt. He watched as you stripped him, missing every inch of you and your body.
Witnessing as his cock sprung out, your clit throbbed and you could feel your nipples harden. Daryl gently runs his hand through your hair, making sure that you are enjoying every inch of this. You prop yourself up, sliding your panties to the side and gripping his shaft while slowly lowering yourself onto it. You could’ve came right then and there. He stretched you out, and was always able to make you feel full and complete.
He lets out a low grunt, not only watching you lower yourself onto him, but also feeling the tight and warm sensation of you around him. You needed a moment to adjust to his size, you both haven’t made love since before the war with the whisperers, you just haven’t had the time.
After a moment, you began to move, slowly rocking your hips and lifting yourself up onto him. “Fuck..” You couldn’t help but let out a moan, you were full, and you were overly sensitive. Daryl squinted his eyes shut for a moment, he too had forgotten the bliss and feeling of him inside of your cunt.
With time, you sped up, bouncing on his cock. You threw back your head, rolling your eyes and having your mouth agape, It was almost embarrassing how slutty you looked. His hands roughly gripped your hips, hard enough to leave bruises, while also thrusting up into you. You were close but you felt yourself starting to grow tired.
You buried your head into Daryl’s neck, whining. He took the chance to flip you over onto your back, and take control. He pounded into you, the sound of skin slapping and the headboard rutting into the wall filling the room. You heard Daryl growl and you let out a loud and filthy moan, feeling embarrassed you were quick to slap your hand over your mouth, until Daryl grabs your wrist, and puts it above your head.
“Wanna hear ya.” He whispered, his voice gravelly. He loved the sounds you’d make, especially knowing that you were making those noises because of him. He continued to fuck you into your mattress, having one hand pinning down yours, and the other on your hip. With your other free hand, you found it roaming up into his hair. His hand gripping your hip quickly moved under your thigh, lifting your leg above his shoulder and adjusting his position. He thrusted into you, hitting your sweet spot and going at a relentless pace. You whimpered and proceeded to tug on his locks, pulling it.
And that’s when he let out a whine.
You could feel your core tightening, knowing that you were close. “D-daryl.. Please don't stop.” Waves of pleasure were rushing through you, and his scent filling your nostrils.
“Ain’t gunna.” He then leaned into your neck, leaving kisses and love bites up and then down to your breasts. You could hear his accent begin to grow thicker, That's how you knew he was approaching his release as well.
You were head empty, feeling your walls tightening around his cock and clit brushing against him. You were both laced with sweat while also letting out gasps and whimpers. He knew your body so well, and knew all the right things just to tip you over the edge. Daryl was also incredibly gentle with you, this wasn’t just fucking this was love-making.
“Daryl.. Im gonna–” He interrupted you with a sloppy kiss, when he pulled away there was a string of saliva still connecting the both of you. He used his tongue to lick up from your chest to your neck, the feeling of his wet mouth against your skin, it sent shivers down your spine, and that’s when you couldn’t anymore. You gasped as you reached your peak, the knot in your tummy finally unraveling. He rode out your high, pounding into you a couple more times before he pulled out and came onto your belly, letting out a low groan and making a mess out of you.
He collapsed right beside you, the two of you were both a panting mess.
With both of you still slowly recovering, he moves to look towards you and uses his thumb and index finger to raise your chin. “Ya feelin’ better sunshine?” His little nickname for you forever gave you butterflies.
“Mhm! I think im due for another shower though...” You attempt to move, feeling Daryl’s warm serum drip down from your tummy to your legs.
“I’ll join ya.” He says, as he helps you up and directs you both to your bathroom.

Peering In My Hollow Core
Fandom: MCU Title: Peering In My Hollow Core Characters/Pairings: Nomad!Steve x Morally Grey!Female Reader Word Count: 2.4k
Summary: Even the best laid plans can go up in flames. You're both wrong, and yet also more right for each other than you know.
Content Warnings: explicit smut, DUBIOUS CONSENT due to sex pollen, masturbation, rough fucking/vaginal sex, unprotected sex/ejaculation
Logistical Notes: I claimed prompt 13 for @lunarbuck's Star-Crossed Lovers Soulmate AU challenge and also knocking off I1 "masturbation" for @the-slumberparty's August/September Bingo challenge. And because you know I can't resist... it's also using one of the prompts (first bolded line) for @witchywithwhiskey's Horror Movie Hoe-a-thon! And it's answering an ask I got from one very mischievous @stargazingfangirl18 that's been on my mind for the last two weeks.
Additional Notes: @biteofcherry and @vonalyn let me suss out how this evolved, so thank you for enduring my brainstorming! Eva also gave a line of dialogue inspiration that I found too delicious not to snatch up, and so that's bolded for acknowledgement as well (near the end). Title from Scars by Basement Jaxx.

“What’s your grand plan here, Doc?” The golden-haired, bearded hulk of a man, America’s golden boy now a rogue in the shadows is pacing before you. “Are you even a doctor?”
His tone is biting, angry, and you don’t hold it against him.
He did fall right into your trap.
“You’re a smart boy, you can guess.”
“I want to hear you say it.”
“I think it will bruise your ego more if I spell it out for you.”
“You should have thought of my rage before you put yourself in this situation, Doc,” he all but growls, still prowling back and forth across the living room floor. “What’s your exit strategy here?”
“You’re getting more volatile and heated, that’s good. That’s what I need.”
“Do you think this is a fucking game? You’re on dangerous ground.”
Your lips curl up slightly, but you try not to smirk. “I dangled myself in front of you. Good Captain America couldn’t resist trying to liberate the poor scientist who got wrongfully entangled with the remnants of HYDRA. You never even stopped to consider that I was dangling myself out in the wind to get you here like this, and you’ve read enough about HYDRA, you know what I gave you.”
“But why?” he barks.
“No one can beat you for strength. You’re driven, resourceful, able to evade an attack. Your weakness is caring,” you pause because he stops his pacing, he looks ready to spring, but doesn’t yet. His eyes haven’t left you for even a moment since he realized it’s you he needed to worry about, not save. “I need your DNA, blood samples, bodily fluid, and I can’t trap you with anything, but I banked on the one physical vulnerability even a super soldier isn’t immune from: a compound they initially developed as something called a sex pollen. In fact, I think you know they tested it on a super soldier, don’t you?”
He slams his fist on the table between you two, and it splits from his actions.
You shouldn’t have provoked him with that. It wouldn’t yield the results you were trying to manipulate him into.
“Easy, Nomad,” you raise your hands cautiously to ease the tension just slightly. “That’s what they call you now – Nomad is the moniker now that you can’t be Captain America out there to the world anymore.” He flexes his fists, another angry reflex, but one you know speaks to a slight de-escalation, self-regulation. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. I don’t agree with everything HYDRA has done.”
He lets out a bitter laugh.
“I don’t,” you insist.
“If you’re not in with them, you’ve made a deal with a devil you’ve vastly underestimated.”
“They’re a means to an end.”
“How can you be so foolish to think that?”
“No one will fund my research at the rate and without regulatory oversight the way they do. They’re desperate to have more of you but under their thumb, especially since you’re at the root of them losing their prize assassin.”
“You’re not stupid, so why are you giving them what they want?”
You lift your chin defiantly.
Steve’s eyes narrow. “Oh god. You can’t tell me… Really? You think you’re gonna keep your research and development from them in the end?”
“Look at what I’ve done so far,” you gesture. “You’ve evaded every attempt they’ve made to get you, you’re evading all the countries who are supposed to enforce the accords and hand you over, and yet I have you trapped here.”
“Why do you care about a super soldier serum?” he asks.
You shrug. “I’m interested in a serum, but I don’t need super soldiers. The list of your medical ailments before you were injected, and then you’re instantly cured of everything? Do you know how many people need even a drop of what cured you?”
“And you think I’d be opposed to that?”
You scoffed, “Yeah, easily. Once the research exists, it will get applied for things it was never intended to be used for, up to and including developing super soldiers for HYDRA and people who pretend they’re better than HYDRA.”
“So, who has made you this desperate?”
“You don’t get to know that.”
He scoffs now. “You don’t get to set the terms here if you intend to get what you want.”
“Don’t I? You’re uncomfortable. You’ve been uncomfortable for a while. It’s going to get worse, but I adapted the formula for what I gave you in that drink of water. All you have to do is ejaculate, and the toxin will abate from your system.”
“How thoughtful of you,” he deadpans.
Then his demeanor changes. He sniffs, and his eyes finally stray from you.
“You said this house is reinforced in its lockdown to keep me in until you initiate and secure your extraction with the HYDRA team?”
“Yes,” you answer slowly, trying to follow his line of sight and decipher what he’s looking at.
“I think you’re going to need to adjust your plans and priorities and do it quickly.”
You open your mouth to ask why, but then your mind quickly makes the leap. “They modified my ventilation system.”
“HYDRA has refused to be eliminated for decades. They can wait for a purebred super soldier and think they can get one in your womb today.”
The heat of humiliation floods your body. How could you have been so foolish not to account for a maneuver like this. They had clearly approved of your strategy too easily.
“Soon you won’t be able to think about anything more than my cock in your cunt, so you better start thinking of how you’re going to get yourself out of this, Doc, because Nomad is not who everyone knew Captain America to be, and I’m certainly not inclined to assist you in any way now. Been doing fine evading capture as you yourself asserted, I can probably figure out my own exit strategy here and fight off the sex pollen until I make it out. But for someone without any biological enhancements… I’m not optimistic over your odds. I read everything on HYDRA. This stuff was nasty when they first developed it, but you can bet they will have reverse engineered whatever you did to the formula to make it even worse.”
As if on cue, you start to feel the physical effects of whatever nearly imperceptible airborne toxin – imperceptible to you, but apparently not to enhanced individuals. Heat flares again in your body, but this time it is a pulsating sexual need.
You close your eyes to try and keep your breath steady and even, but after another moment, you whimper and draw your hands to your stomach as the poisonous desire pulses more strongly, the tremor of need undeniable.
Your eyes burst open again, seeking out the male across the room from you.
He chuckles darkly. “Oh, no. I’m not giving you anything you want. If you’re as brilliant as you think you are, you don’t need me to get out of your unfortunate predicament.”
Your body is yearning for him, but you know he’s serious.
You also know he’s right; you need to think fast.
You’re coherent enough to get both of you out of the lockdown state of the house now – because HYDRA was clearly going to come for both of your – you had a failsafe to get out in case there was some loss of electrical power. But could you get away in this state?
And you know if you get out, you’ll never get the DNA you need from Steve Rogers – you’ll never be close enough to or even see him again. You know that in your bones.
Over the next hour, at different points during the feverish state that overtakes you, you can sometimes hear the super soldier nearby, doing things around your home, undoubtedly trying to apply his own ingenuity.
He might be successful.
It hardly matters.
Now you’re in the shower, under a stream of cold water, trying both to alleviate the unbearable heat your body has peaked to and to hide the sound of your sobs as best you can. You’ve stripped down to a nearly naked state. You ripped off your shirt and pants in your room, left them on the floor, your panties are on the tiled floor outside the shower, but you couldn’t spare your hands to remove your bra. At first you were almost experiencing a sliver of relief with one hand between your legs, paying every attention to your excessively slick folds and throbbing clit, thrusting your fingers in and out of your cunt as well, but it was a false grasp at hope.
You don’t know when you slid down the tiled wall of the wet glass tomb where you think you may die, curled in on yourself, one hand still trying pointlessly to trigger the orgasm that will flush the desperate physical pain from your body, surely it must come.
You don’t know how long he’s been standing in the doorway of the bathroom before you try to shift pathetically, your eyes open, and you see him slowly stroking his hard cock, watching you. You shut your eyes again, in agony wondering how he can possibly seem so collected. Why isn’t he pumping his fist in a frenzy? You couldn’t stroke your clit fast enough, and now you can’t bear to touch it, but the heel of your hand can’t help bumping it as you try to fuck yourself on your fingers.
Then a rush of air blasts over your body.
You open your eyes weakly to see Steve reach to shut off the water, before he bends down and without a word grabs your limp body from the floor, drapes you over his arm, where you hand limply, bent in half, and he hauls you back to your room, and throws you on the bed.
You continue to cry and stroke yourself while you hear him unzip and unfasten, your body a trembling heap, facing away from him as he’s undressing.
“I’m going to fuck you, and then you’re going to let me out before HYDRA comes for both of us. You’re fucking clever and I can’t get out of here without you.”
You whimper when you feel his weight on the bed behind you.
He forces you into a kneeling position, but he doesn’t care that you can’t even prop yourself up, head and shoulders slumped down on the mattress, ass in the air. His left hand grips your hip, and he groans as he guides the head of his cock up and down the slit of your dripping cunt before he finally slides in. It’s deliberate, sliding down to the base, his hips pushing into yours. The way he invades and stretches you is painful, and yet you need it, keening at the fullness.
You do catch that his breathing hitches.
He needs this, too.
You’ll give it to him if he’ll just put your body out of its misery.
After a moment of slowly rutting against you, only shifting his girth inside of you a bit, teasing, perhaps warning, you whine, “move, please, more.”
“More than you bargained for,” he growls, then pulls back, and then thrusts back into you, adopting a brutal pace, both hands anchored at your hips now, slamming you back and forth roughly.
He pulls a first orgasm from your body quickly, but the second comes not long after when he reaches around to pinch and roll your clit between his fingers, still using your pussy for chasing his pleasure.
A third, and you’ve gone from whimpers and keens to crying out and a fresh wave of tears. This is rough and you’re over stimulated, and he knows. He leans over your back to smirk against your neck.
“Please,” you cry. You don’t know if you’re begging for more or for less because your body is screaming in exhaustion, but the fire is still tormenting your veins.
Because you haven’t been filled.
The smirk turns to a sneer against your neck, and Steve snarls, "You wanted it. You staged it. So, you're going to take it and keep fucking taking it until I'm done with your pathetic fragile body."
He’s pressing into places you’ve never felt before, and you cry out more, face pressed into the sheets. He pushes back up and pulls his cock out of you. His fingers work the clasp of your bra, and he pulls it off while he flips you over so you’re on your back. You can’t even open your eyes, but you feel him looming above you, kneeling between your splayed out thighs.
But then you feel something shift. He mutters a curse and is suddenly still.
You open your eyes and look up at him, but he’s looking at your chest. His hand moves up to trace his fingers over a scar near your collarbone. You look and see the same scar evident on his chest.
You reach up and your fingers quest along his bicep, and they do find a scar there, very faint but long, matching one you’ve had nearly your entire life.
Your eyes lock on each other now, and the acknowledgement there between you is terrifying.
There are more scars, but you don’t need to continue to confirm what you know.
You’re soulmates.
You’ve betrayed him before you even knew.
You’re still beholden to the drive of the sex pollen, boneless and exhausted, but this revelation drives with adrenaline through the haze, too hard to deny. It gives you enough to say, “We can’t deal with this now if we want to get out of here with a chance to escape HYDRA, fuck me and end this.”
He does, but he can’t look at you. He buries his head in the crook of your neck, and spears you with his cock. The fucking is rough, and you take it. It’s punishing penance and painful pleasure. You cling to him as he thrusts you over the cliff of ecstasy again, coming with you finally, and his spend pumps hotly into you. The physical relief from the torture is blessedly immediate. His hand ghosts over your lower abdomen where he’s just planted his seed. With his eyes closed, he touches his forehead to yours, then pushes roughly away and rolls off of you.
“Get up, get dressed, pack light,” he says, stone cold. “Between us we might get out of this dangerous trap. That’s all we need for now.”

...
Before setting off for the day, you made sure to grab an extra hairband, anticipating that Geto might need one if his broke. As it turned out, he had the same foresight, which wasn't all that surprising considering the amount of times you'd lose them.
Another curious fact, for some reason, everyone came to you whenever their uniforms got a tear or two simply because you had once mentioned liking to sow things back together
You swear Gojo would do it on purpose considering he always had his stupid fucking infinity on. Geto, on the other hand, likely made sure to be just a tad bit more reckless with his uniform before turning it into you.
He actually liked to watch you work, eyes entranced by the way your hands move and manipulated the fabric --- all while you hummed some tuneless melody under your breath
Moving on
Did you know that Gojo accidentally revealed to Yaga that you had a fondness for unique plushies? Since that day, Yaga began surprising you with a new plushie every day. Sometimes he'd toss them straight at your face, while other times, he'd leave them outside your door.
As the days passed, your room became a plushie wonderland, and you realized you needed to have a serious conversation with Yaga about this overflowing collection.
Despite your talk, the "plushie issue" remained unresolved. However, every Friday after class, Yaga started setting up the classroom to teach you how to knit as a way to compromise.
With this newfound skill, you took matters into your own hands and began creating mini-plushies of everyone around you.
For Kento, you designed a stylish cream business suit that perfectly complemented his rather bland calm personality. You also created a matching outfit for his best mate, Habaira, but in a sleek black color. Habaira was overjoyed with the gesture, though he playfully joked that he looked like his mini-plushie was ready to attend a funeral. Kento couldn't help but chuckle at the comment, a rare small smile gracing his lips as he softly muttered a heartfelt 'Thank you.'
For Ieiri, you crafted a unique plushie, dressing her in a doctor's coat and adding her trademark little cigarette, capturing her essence beautifully. She was absolutely thrilled when she saw it, expressing her excitement with a lazy smile as she kissed you on the cheek.
Yaga received a miniature replica of his current look, which he proudly displayed by placing it next to his computer monitor in his office. Sometimes, you'd catch him smiling at it.
Gojo's plushie was a fun challenge, with a spiky-haired version of him sporting a blindfold instead of sunglasses. Gojo playfully teased you about making a second version because you just couldn't get enough of him. You threatened to take it away, and he protested, holding the plushie just out of your reach. Lanky bastard.
(You never did see that plushie ever again tho, wonder what happened to it)
As for Geto, you searched the internet for some fashionable outfit inspiration and dressed up his plushie accordingly. He later humorously referred to it as his mini shaman (the fashionable outfit was a shaman's attire. Sorry not sorry) , but he assured you that he genuinely loved it. In fact, he liked it so much that he transformed it into a keychain for his bag, carrying it with him wherever he went.
I should mention that by now, your fluency in Japanese had improved dramatically. However, out of a sheer habit, both boys had the tendency to order for you. Then again, they also ordered for one another. Everyone in this fucking three-way has memorized each other's orders like the back of their hand.
You know their coffee orders by heart; Geto knows both of your favorite meals by heart, and Gojo knows both your and Suguru's favorite sweets by soul. (Sorry not sorry)
You all take turns treating one another, but often it's Gojo who insists on paying for you and Geto, given his big-boy bank account. (You will never reveal to them how somehow Mei Mei has become your sugar mama and pays you for simply existing, on the daily)
Geto can't ever drink your or Gojo's coffees because they're just too sweet. It's so sweet it could put a diabetic into a coma. So the two of you happily share taste-sips with each other.
On the other hand, Gojo couldn't handle the intensity of your and Geto's meals due to their overwhelming spiciness. Just the aroma wafting around would bring tears to his clear sky-blue eyes. As for you, vegetables weren't your preference, so Geto would kindly slide his plate close to yours, allowing you to discreetly transfer the unwanted veggies onto his plate without creating a mess on the table.
Gojo would then tease you for your preference, mocking you as he likened you to a small child. So properly, the only adult response was to engage in a game of footsies with him under the table until, accidentally, Gojo hit you a bit too hard, causing you to flinch and squeak. Geto noticed your reaction instantly, and he gave Gojo a piercing glare, silently warning him to be more careful. Gojo, feeling a bit awkward, focused on stuffing his face to avoid eye contact with Geto.
Ah, nothing like a protective mama Geto
Whenever you're trying to avoid Gojo and his endless taunts, you have a clever strategy: hiding in his dorm room, a place he never imagines you'd willingly go. As he spends the entire day searching the school high and low for you, you're actually inside his room, peacefully resting or just relaxing. Oftentimes, you snoop. Hehe
You possess like some Gojo-detector, giving you the ability to sense when Gojo is about to return to his dorm room. The moment you feel he is messing you, you swiftly sneak out unnoticed. He never manages to catch you, and the mystery of why his bed sometimes smells like you remains unsolved for him. That is until one night, he stumbles upon your favorite bracelet tucked under his pillow, the clasp broken.
You can't escape him anymore
Geto finds solace in your room, partly captivated by its enchanting fragrance. The persistent presence of an oil diffuser emanates an aroma that seems to be woven from the fabric of dreams. Its sweet and gentle, a lingering scent that holds a subtle allure, almost addictive in its embrace.
Lost in the allure of the ambiance (doesn't help that you like to keep your room dark and cold with blue lighting) Geto spends literal hours nestled amongst the plushies, lulled to sleep by the whole scenario. Whenever he departs from your room, the decent clings into his clothing. Leaving a trail of flowers behind that informing others of his presence in your room.
Speaking of him
Sometimes, you wake up in the dead of night, feeling something off. It's as if you possess a strange, innate ability to sense when someone is going through a rough time. Perhaps it's connected to your Cursed technique, or maybe your soul simply has a way of recognizing their distress. Regardless of the reason, you find yourself instinctively reaching for one of your pillows and following the invisible trail of energy.
Tonight, your focus settled on Geto's room. He had entrusted you with a key long ago, allowing you to enter his private space when desired.
You approached the door with a gentle, single knock (you have this specific way of locking that involves lightly tapping on the door with your nails. Much like a cat would) before letting yourself in. And there he was, sat up on his bed, his blankets tangled around his lap as beads of sweat trickled down his face. A haunted look in his eyes.
Geto prided himself on being able to maintain a stoic poker face, but even he had to admit. Out of your little trio, you were the one most attuned to their emotions. You could read the warning signs long before they fully manifested.
You slipped into his bed, performing your nightly ritual of unraveling his locks from the right bun he wore to sleep. Quietly, you would always mention how it wouldn't do any good for his hair and how it might give him more morning tangles (knowing well that you yourself slept with your hair loosely tied). Yet, with tender care, you gently massaged the palms of his hands, hoping to bring him back to the present, back to you.
And he came back to you, blinking his lovely onyx eyes as they lightly widened at the sight of you in your nightgown, sitting right next to him, his hand in your grasp as you cooed him back to safety.
No words were truly exchanged; that was for the morning routine. So, for then, the two of you simply settled back into his bed. His hand never left your own as you slowly placed it onto your chest, just where your heart would be.
Your heart beat, calm and strong, lulled him into a dreamless sleep.
...
(A/N): As I was writing this, you fuckers kept blowing up my phone with the amount of likes you were giving my shit. Like damn, I see now we have some early risers here. Goddamn.
I have such a headache rn it's not even funny.
The idea of being a Gojo-detector is rather humorous, isn't it?
Wonder what Geto dreamt about that had him so distressed. Is it the start of something or just your everyday PTSD?

You were trying to concentrate on your studies, but your mind kept wandering to anything other than the authors you needed to read in order to write your dissertation. If your lack of inspiration wasn't enough, you still had to deal with the fact that even after a month you still hadn't received any responses about your PhD course and your final year of college was about to start.
You sighed frustrated leaning over the book you were trying to read without success and faced the city of New York through the window. The day was cloudy and a thin, insistent rain persisted throughout the morning. You closed your eyes surrendering to boredom and mental fatigue and when you realized there he was, glorious in his blue robes and red cloak smiling that sideways smile.
Since the day of the party you haven't seen him again and it had been nearly two weeks. You were resisting the idea of calling America and coming up with a reason to go there, but even for a teenager that would seem weird and besides, what good would it do? You didn't want to see him from a distance, you didn't want to just exchange a few words with him, you wanted everything and although you felt that there was tension between you, all that flirting seemed so fruitless and frustrating.
You understood that there was a huge age gap between you and the fact that he met you when you were 15 and then bleeped for 5 years didn't help much. You've aged and matured, but he still seems to see you as a teenager and maybe that's all you'll ever be for him, after all you've spent the last year trying to get him to notice you, but the attention you get never seems genuine enough.
Nat said you should forget about him and try looking for someone your own age, you knew Mike had a crush on you and at 25 he was a more reasonable option than the sorcerer doctor from Bleecker Street. Yet how could you even try? There was no comparison, neither Mike nor any other man would ever match Stephen Strange and he was everywhere, invading your mind at the most inopportune moments.
The best thing to do would be to try to forget him and get over that absurd crush, but how do you abandon hope after he called you sweetheart and kissed you goodnight?
You were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard a knock on the door.
"Come in" You said sitting up straight and going back to pretending you were reading.
Tony poked his head inside  "Too busy? I can come back later." You shook your head smiling at him "No, come in. I can't study today" You pouted.
He came in and sat at the foot of your bed. You turned to look at him.
"Still no response from NYU? You know I could call them..."
You sighed "I know, but for once I wanted to get something for myself"
He nodded making an exaggerated face "By the way, I got you a meeting with a record company"
You shook your head "Ah Tony, this is not how I wanted things to happen!"
He held up his hands in surrender "I didn't do anything, I swear. The producers who were here got impressed with your music, that's it. Besides, it's just a conversation."
"And who brought the producers here?" You accused. You weren't really mad at him, you were just frustrated because deep down you knew this was going to happen and it wasn't even a bad thing. You shouldn't be complaining at all.
"The meeting will be on Monday, I suggested that Pepper go with you if you agree of course."
You nodded "Thank you" He tapped the mattress calling you to sit next to him and you obeyed, he put his arm around your shoulders and pressed you against his chest resting his chin on your head "You know I want the best for you. I know your father would kick my ass if I didn't take care of you right."
You chuckled "I'm not a kid, Tony." He shrugged "It doesn't change anything for me, I'll still keep taking care of you"
You nodded in silence and he didn't say anything either. You enjoyed spending time with Tony, it was rare because he was always so busy, but when you could you enjoyed the moment. There was no discomfort in the silence, you didn't need to fill it with any futility just so the situation wouldn't be awkward. You were happy with each other's presence.
"I'm going out on a mission tonight and I don't think I'll be back before the start of the week, I want to make sure you're okay before I go."
You looked up in surprise "Is Strange coming with you?" You regretted asking the question the moment the words came out of your mouth. "I mean... I always worry when he's involved because I know the situation is more serious or you wouldn't need a sorcerer's help."
He nodded "Fortunately it's nothing Rhodes and I can't handle on our own, no need to worry."
You agreed "I'll be fine, you don't have to worry. Just promise me you'll be careful, I can't lose you too"
He nodded "You won't lose me, ever. I'll always be here for you."
He patted you on the shoulder and got up "Now enough of that. Happy told me you have a show tonight at a weird night club, his words not mine, and I asked him to come with you, just to put my mind at ease."
You looked at him in surprise and didn't even try to hide your irritation "Tony I don't need a babysitter" He crossed his arms passing a hand over his face "Do this for me, I'll be more relaxed if you let Happy go with you"
You reluctantly agreed and watched him leave. Your cell phone vibrated with messages from America and you smiled to yourself.
America entered the Sanctum through the portal along with Wong and Stephen and threw herself on the sofa in the main room. She kicked off her sneakers and lay down, crossing her legs and answering her cell phone messages.
"Need I remind you that you have homework to finish?" Stephen asked as he walked past her and up the stairs with the typical bad mood of when he was tired. She shrugged "No need but you just did."
He didn't answer and she heard the sound of a door slamming upstairs.
Wong approached, picking up her sneakers and placing them beside the sofa and then extended his hand demanding that she hand over her cell phone.
"Ten more minutes please, I'm just answering my friends messages." Wong sighed "Ten minutes and then go finish the homework" She grimaced "I can't finish my philosophy homework right now, its very complex, I don’t know what to do."
Wong put his hand on his hip like he did when he was thinking "Why don't you ask y/n for help?" America smiled pointing the phone "What do you think I'm doing?"
"Procrastinating" Came Stephen's authoritative voice, he was coming down the stairs carrying a pile of books "She's perfectly capable of finishing it by herself, she's just procrastinating."
America stuck her tongue out at him and continued typing quickly on her cell phone and then celebrated when she got a quick reply "Y/n promised she'll help me, but she can't come today. She said she'll come tomorrow."
Wong nodded "Fine, then you finish the others and save this one for tomorrow." He left the room and Stephen placed the books he was carrying carefully on the book shelf. "Did she say why she can't come today?" He asked and America shrugged "Looks like she has a show tonight and is also studying for her college dissertation." Stephen hummed turning his attention to the books.
Stephen spent the whole day mentally discussing the pros and cons of going to the night club y/n was performing at. It wasn't the kind of place he would frequent, to be quite honest Stephen didn't frequent anywhere, his life in the last few years had been reduced to work on the Kamar Taj and the Sanctum and a few sporadic missions with the Avengers. However, the idea of seeing her again was always something that excited him.
He could wait and see her at the Sanctum the next day since she'd promised America she'd help her with her homework, but a part of him yearned to see her away from there, away from Wong's watchful eyes, to enjoy her presence for a few minutes as if it wasn't wrong or forbidden what he knew it was.
He still clearly remembered when she had America's age and then he turned to dust for 5 years and when he came back she was a woman. He knew she had a crush on him but that was the problem, he could never tell if she really liked him or if it was just innocent flirting. The only thing he was sure of was that there was nothing innocent about the way he looked and thought of her and he felt extremely guilty about all the lewd things that crossed his mind at the most inopportune moments. If only she weren't practically Tony Stark's daughter! No, still. He was twice her age, more than that, for God's sake, what was he thinking? He could be her father!
He sighed heavily as he stared at the change of clothes he'd placed on the bed and before he could change his mind he snapped his fingers and the clothes materialized on his body: a pair of dark jeans, a gray shirt and a suit jacket of a darker shade of gray. He had shaved and trimmed his goatee and his hair was combed neatly to one side. He took one last look in the mirror and Cloaky flew towards him ready to cling on his shoulders.
"Not tonight, buddy" He held it in his hand and shook it once making it shrink in size and then he folded it like a pocket handkerchief and put it in his inside pocket.
He intended to slip through the door unnoticed, but America and Wong were sprawled out on the couch sharing a bowl of popcorn and watching some stupid horror movie. "Where are you going?" America asked curiously turning to face him.
He stopped at the foot of the stair "Out"
She looked at him with elevator eyes "You're going on a date"
Wong just chuckled and Stephen felt slightly offended but decided anything he said would only compromise him further "Don't wait for me"
You were getting ready for your show under Happy's watchful eyes which was making not only you but all your friends uncomfortable.
"Does he really need to stand there staring at us like that?" Susanne, your drummer and also co-founder of the band, asked.
"It's a little scary" complained Mike and you sighed. "I'll talk to him."
You finished your makeup and walked over to Happy who had been standing with his arms crossed immobile for over an hour. "Happy you're scaring my friends" He raised an eyebrow "I'm doing my job."
You sighed "Why don't you take a walk and see if everything is okay out there? It's time to clear the entrance and you can take the opportunity to take a good look at the people who are arriving. You have a great eye for analyzing people ."
He looked undecided. "Mr. Stark asked me not to take my eyes off you." You put your hands on your hips, controlling yourself so as not to lose your temper "He's assigned you to work for me tonight and I need you to go outside and do what I asked." He hesitated a bit, but he did as you said.
Mike, who was lying on the sofa in the small room where you were getting ready strumming the guitar, whistled teasingly "You look beautiful when you get all bossy like that, did you know?"
You rolled your eyes and Susanne laughed "Give up dude."
When Stephen approached the entrance of the night club, he noticed a line of people waiting for the gates to open and decided to stay away to avoid being recognized. Inside in the darker environment with flashing lights it was easier for him to go unnoticed. However, it didn't take long for him to see Tony Stark's head of security, Happy Logan standing in front of the gate watching every person who entered. On one hand he was relieved to know that Stark had bothered to send someone to take care of you, on the other hand it was a huge problem because all he didn't want was Stark to find out that he went to a night club clearly to see you.
He seriously thought about turning around and walking away, but knowing you were there so close to him was too much of a temptation for him to give up now. He made a gesture with his fingers using magic to hide his identity. It was a simple spell really and one he used far too often even though he hated to admit it. The spell distorted his appearance enough that no one recognized him and was only detectable by another magic user.
When he finally entered the club, the halls were already crowded with people with colored hair, tattoos and piercings dressed in leather clothes, buckles and spikes. He particularly liked the nostalgic vibe of the music they played, a mix of post punk and 80's new wave fronted by bands like Joy Division and The Cure, but he also listened Bauhaus, Type O Negative and Siouxsie Sioux among others he didn't know.
He entered the hall where you would perform and sat at a farther table waving to a passing waitress. He ordered a whiskey and waited looking around and at the clock every minute anxious to finally see you and when you got onstage he mentally berated himself for the way his body reacted to you, the least of the problems being the ridiculous erection resulting from the sight of you dressed beautifully in a black leather dress with ripped stockings and combat boots, the worst was the heart racing in his chest and ringing loudly in his ears as he was sucked into a million possibilities of what he would do if he could put his hands on you. Even though there was no one he knew there, and even if there was, no one would recognize him, let alone be able to read his mind, Stephen couldn't help but feel guilty for all his nasty thoughts.
When you came down from the stage with your friends from the band to interact with the people waiting to greet you, Stephen decided not to go there and talk to you. Throughout the night he watched you go from table to table and stop to chat with everyone, laughing that beautiful laugh he so often heard echoing through the Sanctum.
He had enough time to think about it and he had already decided that it would be best to leave without you knowing he was there. Yet when you sat down at the bar and a man approached you, clearly flirting with you, he couldn't help but feel a nagging twinge of jealousy. Besides, even though the man was apparently younger than he was, he was clearly much older than you and that made the blood boil in Stephen's veins.
He scanned the room for Happy Logan but the security guard appeared to have been abducted. Stephen hadn't seen Happy during your entire show and he wondered if something had happened. His instincts were on alert anyway and he didn't even know why.
He watched as you walked away from the bar and headed towards the bathroom and even though he felt bad about it he followed you, watching you from a distance but now with a different purpose, he wanted to make sure you were safe.
You didn't take long to come back accompanied by other girls talking and laughing and to increase his irritation you stopped again at the bar sitting next to the guy who offered you a drink. He sat back watching you tip your head back laughing at whatever stupid joke the guy told you. He knew all that irritation was jealousy. He wanted to be the man talking to you and making you laugh like that. Plus he hated how that guy was touching you, his hand going down your back deliberately as you accepted a second drink from him. Shit, Stephen never touched you like that and there was nothing he wanted more than...
"May I join you?" Stephen looked surprised at the blonde woman with a ponytail dressed in a black velvet dress and combat boots who was smiling at him. He gestured for her to sit down.
"Sorry, I feel like I know you from somewhere." She said smiling
He smirked "Hardly. It's the first time I've been here." She smiles "You can tell by the way you're dressed."
He frowned, pouring the rest of the whiskey from the glass still without taking his eyes off you. "What's wrong with my clothes?" The woman chuckled "They aren't black to begin with." He resisted the temptation to use magic to refill the glass, but instead he stopped the passing waiter and ordered another whiskey and then faced the woman politely "Can I buy you a drink?" She smiles "I'll take what you're drinking. I'm Mary, by the way." He smiles "Stephen" He replied frowning watching you bring your hand to your forehead as if something bothered you.
Mary stared in the same direction he was looking "Ah, Tony Stark's protégé"
Stephen raised an eyebrow at the playful way she said the word. "Do you know y/n?"
She sighed "Everyone knows y/n, she's kind of a star here in NY besides being Stark's goddaughter, but no, I don't know her personally. Do you know her?"
He accepted the drinks the waiter brought and took a long gulp of the whiskey "Yes, I do."
"Then why don't you go talk to her instead of admiring her from a distance? You clearly like her"
He laughs nervously "It's complicated."
Stephen watched you falling from the bench you were sitting on, the way the man wrapped his arms around you and looked around as if he made sure no one was looking was enough for Stephen to understand that something was wrong.
"...she's clearly too privileged to know what she's talking about in her songs..."
Stephen got up grabbing his wallet and taking out some notes and throwing them on the table "Excuse me" He said moving away and walking quickly in time to prevent the man, who had already wrapped his arm around your neck and practically dragged you away from the bar, succeed. He quickly looked around and there was no sign of Happy Logan or any of your friends.
"Hey" Stephen grabbed the man's shoulder and when he turned around, Stephen punched him as hard as he could. His hand hurt, but in that moment he didn't care. The man fell to the ground and you slumped to the side clearly unable to stay on your feet and Stephen wrapped his arms around you slapping your face to try to keep you awake "Hey, are you okay? Talk to me, what are you feeling?"
You stared at him in confusion, your head spinning too fast to see his face. Stephen moved his fingers quickly when the man tried to get up keeping him on the ground. A group of security guards approached and Stephen moved his fingers again, disappearing with his disguise. Some people who were crowding around to see the scene turned on their cameras to photograph him the moment they recognized him.
"Stephen... is that you?" You asked confused, he didn't answer.
"That man drugged her" Stephen said to security. One of them picked the man off the ground and carried him away. The head of security approached "Doctor Strange"
Stephen greeted him with a nod "Keep that man locked up, I'm sure Tony Stark will want to talk to him"
The head of security nodded "I'll call an ambulance"
Stephen held you tight in his arms, shaking his head "It won't be necessary, I'll take care of her." The security guard nodded and then spoke to the people watching the scene "The show is over guys"
"Stephen... what's going on?" You asked confused, your legs giving out. Stephen took his sling ring out of his pocket and opened a portal to the Sanctum. He took you in his arms and walked through the portal ignoring the amazed wows from the people watching the scene.
You woke up feeling a strange pain in your head and when you opened your eyes everything was spinning. "Fuck" you complained putting your hand on your forehead.
"Believe me, it could have been worse" came a baritone voice from your right. You stared at Stephen sitting in an armchair in the distance.
"What… what happened?"
He got up and walked over to the bed sitting beside you, he placed his hand on your forehead and then cupped your wrist and took your pulse. "You were drugged. If I wasn't there..." He shook his head irritably "I saw Happy Logan there, he was supposed to be taking care of you."
You looked around trying to figure out where you were. Apparently it was one of the Sanctum's many rooms. You sat up still feeling dizzy.
"Slowly, I managed to neutralize some of the substance in your body with a healing spell, but it will take a few hours for all of it to completely leave your system." Stephen sighed "You have no idea the risk you took tonight. If I hadn't been there..." He repeated and then fell silent.
You shook your head still confused "Why...why were you there?"
"I went to see you" He looked at you almost sheepishly like someone who's been caught doing something they shouldn't be doing. "America told me you would perform tonight"
Your heart skipped a beat "Thank you... for saving me."
He nodded "Please be more careful next time."
You frowned "Careful?"
He sighed heavily "I'm sure you've been taught not to drink from other people's cups. It's a basic concept really."
Were you understanding that right? He was blaming you.
"I didn't drink from his cup, he bought me a drink." You replied offended.
"And then had enough time to put whatever it was in your drink when you innocently walked away to go to the bathroom." He stopped, realizing how weird that sounded.
"You... you were stalking me" You accused "And why didn't you go talk to me like a normal person?"
He rested his thumb and index finger on the bridge of his nose "Because I shouldn't have been there in the first place."
You moved to stand up and he grabbed your arms "Where do you think you're going?"
"Home" You said, but he kept you in place.
"You need to rest now, I'll take you home later." You shook your head no "I need to know what happened to Happy, he wouldn't have left me there alone if something hadn't happened."
Stephen had already thought about that too.
"I'll find out what happened, but you need to rest now, please."
You sighed surrendering and stared at your hands without having the courage to look at him. You stayed quite for a few minutes til you had courage to speak again "So... you wanted to see me"
He placed his hand on top of yours "Yes"
You nodded "I am glad that you were there."
He chuckled "Yeah you are welcome"
You shook your head "No I'm not talking about what happened, of course I'm grateful you were there to save me but what I really want to say is I'm glad you came to see me in the first place ."
He smiled and it did not go unnoticed that he still had his hand in yours.
"I was missing you." He confessed and you stared at him in surprise, a dreamy smile playing on your lips and you didn't bother trying to hide it.
"I could have waited to see you tomorrow" He glanced at his watch "Well, today, since you promised you'd help America with her homework, but I couldn't." He exhaled heavily "Now I'm torn between being grateful to be there for you and at the same time I'm in trouble because Stark is going to find out I was there and I don't know how to explain it."
You moved your hand under his and he reached out waiting for you to place your palm over his. Palm to palm.
His hand was so big compared to yours, it was warm and shaking, the rough skin where scars cut into flesh contrasting with your soft, delicate skin.
"Explain it to me then" You asked, your voice barely a whisper.
He touched your face with his other hand, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. You felt your whole body tremble with that touch and you were sure it didn't go unnoticed by him.
"I like you, y/n"
You swallowed, "You...like me. What does that mean?"
He smirked tracing your lips with his thumb "It’s the most basic way to explain it, sweetheart"
You nodded "I like you too" Was all you could think to say.
He smiled that beautiful sideways smile, but then he sighed heavily as if the spell was broken, he pulled his hand from yours cleaning his throat and stood up "I'm going to let you sleep now. I'm will call Stark and tell him what happened. "
You shook your head "Tony is out on a mission with Rhodes"
Stephen nodded "I'll call Pottz then."
You nodded, your mind was fuzzy, your head ached and you felt drunk even though you knew that wasn't the case.
"I'll be in the next room, if you need anything just knock." Stephen stated.
You nodded trying to think of something to say so he wouldn't leave but nothing seemed good enough.
"Good night" You said.

Look, I was gonna go easy on you and not to hurt your feelings
But I'm only going to get this one chance (six minutes, six minutes)
Something's wrong, I can feel it (six minutes, six minutes, Slim Shady, you're on)
Just a feeling I've got, like something's about to happen, but I don't know what
If that means what I think it means, we're in trouble, big trouble
And if he is as bananas as you say, I'm not taking any chances
You are just what the doctor ordered
I'm beginning to feel like a Rap God, Rap God
All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod
Now who thinks their arms are long enough to slap box, slap box?
They said I rap like a robot, so call me Rapbot
But for me to rap like a computer must be in my genes
I got a laptop in my back pocket
My pen'll go off when I half-cock it
Got a fat knot from that rap profit
Made a livin' and a killin' off it
Ever since Bill Clinton was still in office
With Monica Lewinsky feelin' on his nutsack
I'm an MC still as honest
But as rude and indecent as all hell syllables, killaholic (kill 'em all with)
This flippity dippity-hippity hip-hop
You don't really wanna get into a pissing match with this rappidy brat
Packin' a MAC in the back of the Ac', backpack rap crap, yap-yap, yackity-yack
And at the exact same time, I attempt these lyrical acrobat stunts while I'm practicin' that
I'll still be able to break a motherfuckin' table
Over the back of a couple of faggots and crack it in half
Only realized it was ironic I was signed to Aftermath after the fact
How could I not blow? All I do is drop F-bombs, feel my wrath of attack
Rappers are having a rough time period, here's a Maxipad
It's actually disastrously bad
For the wack, while I'm masterfully constructing this masterpièce
'Cause I'm beginning to feel like a Rap God, Rap God
All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod
Now who thinks their arms are long enough to slap box, slap box?
Let me show you maintaining this shit ain't that hard, that hard
Everybody want the key and the secret to rap immortality like I have got
Well, to be truthful the blueprint's simply rage and youthful exuberance
Everybody loves to root for a nuisance
Hit the Earth like an asteroid, did nothin' but shoot for the moon since (pew)
Mc's get taken to school with this music
'Cause I use it as a vehicle to bus the rhyme
Now I lead a new school full of students
Me? I'm a product of Rakim
Lakim Shabazz, 2Pac, N.W.A, Cube, hey Doc, Ren, Yella, Eazy, thank you, they got Slim
Inspired enough to one day grow up, blow up and be in a position
To meet Run-D.M.C and induct them into the motherfuckin' Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame
Even though I walk in the church and burst in a ball of flames
Only hall of fame I'll be inducted in is the alcohol of fame on the wall of (shame)
You fags think it's all a game 'til I walk a flock of flames
Off a plank and tell me what in the fuck are you thinkin'?
Little gay lookin' boy
So gay I can barely say it with a straight face lookin' boy
You witnessin' a mass-occur
Like you're watchin' a church gathering take place lookin' boy
"Oy vey, that boy's gay", that's all they say, lookin' boy
You get a thumbs up, pat on the back
And a "Way-to-go" from your label every day, lookin' boy
Hey, lookin' boy, what you say, lookin' boy?
I get a "Hell yeah" from Dre, lookin' boy
I'ma work for everything I have
Never asked nobody for shit, get outta my face, lookin' boy
Basically boy, you're never gonna be capable
Of keepin' up with the same pace, lookin' boy
'Cause I'm beginning to feel like a Rap God, Rap God
All my people from the front to the back nod, back nod
The way I'm racin' around the track, call me NASCAR, NASCAR
Dale Earnhardt of the trailer park, the White Trash God
Kneel before General Zod, this planet's Krypton, no Asgard, Asgard
So you be Thor and I'll be Odin, you rodent, I'm omnipotent
Let off then I'm reloadin' immediately with these bombs I'm totin'
And I should not be woken
I'm the walkin' dead, but I'm just a talkin' head, a zombie floatin'
But I got your mom deep-throatin'
I'm out my ramen noodle, we have nothin' in common, poodle
I'm a Doberman, pinch yourself in the arm and pay homage, pupil
It's me, my honesty's brutal
But it's honestly futile if I don't utilize what I do though
For good at least once in a while
So I wanna make sure somewhere in this chicken scratch I scribble and doodle
Enough rhymes to maybe to try to help get some people through tough times
But I gotta keep a few punchlines just in case 'cause even you unsigned
Rappers are hungry lookin' at me like it's lunchtime
I know there was a time where once I
Was king of the underground, but I still rap like I'm on my Pharoahe Monch grind
So I crunch rhymes, but sometimes when you combine
Appeal with the skin color of mine
You get too big, and here they come tryin' to
Censor you like that one line I said on "I'm Back" from the Mathers LP One
When I tried to say, "I'll take seven kids from Columbine
Put 'em all in a line, add an AK-47, a revolver and a nine"
See if I get away with it now that I ain't as big as I was, but I'm
Morphin' into an immortal comin' through the portal
You're stuck in a time warp from 2004 though
And I don't know what the fuck that you rhyme for
You're pointless as Rapunzel with fuckin' cornrows
You write normal? Fuck being normal
And I just bought a new ray-gun from the future
Just to come and shoot ya like when Fabolous made Ray J mad
'Cause Fab said he looked like a fag at Mayweather's pad
Singin' to a man while he played piano
Man, oh man, that was a 24/7 special on the cable channel
So Ray J went straight to the radio station the very next day
"Hey, Fab, I'ma kill you"
Lyrics coming at you at supersonic speed, (JJ Fad)
Uh, sama lama duma lama, you assumin' I'm a human
What I gotta do to get it through to you, I'm superhuman?
Innovative and I'm made of rubber
So that anything you say is ricochetin' off of me and it'll glue to you
I'm devastating, more than ever demonstrating
How to give a motherfuckin' audience a feelin' like it's levitating
Never fading, and I know that the haters are forever waiting
For the day that they can say I fell off, they'll be celebrating
'Cause I know the way to get 'em motivated
I make elevating music, you make elevator music
Oh, he's too mainstream
Well, that's what they do when they get jealous, they confuse it
It's not hip-hop, it's pop, 'cause I found a hella way to fuse it
With rock, shock rap with Doc
Throw on Lose Yourself and make 'em lose it
I don't know how to make songs like that
I don't know what words to use
Let me know when it occurs to you
While I'm rippin' any one of these verses diverse as you
It's curtains, I'm inadvertently hurtin' you
How many verses I gotta murder to
Prove that if you were half as nice, your songs you can sacrifice virgins too? Uh
School flunkie, pill junkie
But look at the accolades the skills brung me
Full of myself, but still hungry
I bully myself 'cause I make me do what I put my mind to
And I'm a million leagues above you, ill when I speak in tongues
But it's still tongue in cheek, fuck you
I'm drunk so Satan take the fucking wheel, I'm asleep in the front seat
Bumping Heavy D and the Boys, still chunky but funky
But in my head, there's something I can feel tugging and struggling
Angels fight with devils and here's what they want from me
They're askin' me to eliminate some of the women-hate
But if you take into consideration the bitter hatred I have
Then you may be a little patient and more sympathetic to the situation
And understand the discrimination
But fuck it, life's handing you lemons, make lemonade then
But if I can't batter the women, how the fuck am I supposed to bake them a cake then?
Don't mistake him for (Satan)
It's a fatal mistake if you think I need to be overseas
And take a vacation to trip a broad
And make her fall on her face and
Don't be a retard, be a king? Think not
Why be a king when you can be a God?
(I sent this to India)
where is this from😭

A cold, salty breeze blows through Genji's window. Curled in the couch beside it, he sighs dreamily. Outside the full moon reflects on the ocean so bright and so large that he feels like he's being transported to another dimension, somewhere else entirely. Somewhere where he's free...
Behind him, the door swings open. He doesn't have to look to know who's coming, doesn't need the heavy steps and the tired sigh.
"I thought I told you to close that window an hour ago," his father says with assertion, but no anger.
Genji too heaves a sigh and unfurls from the blanket to do as he's told. Then there's a hand on his shoulder, and he allows himself to be guided to his bed and tucked in. Sojiro sits beside him, offering a small thing of a smile. Genji mirrors it.
"Rest, my son." He pats Genji's face gently. "Doctor Fukaya will come to see you in the morning."
Something coils inside Genji at the thought of talking to a shrink. He's never been a fan of sitting quiet and discussing feelings, let alone with a complete stranger. Sure, his brother's disappearance has been... Difficult... But he thinks with time, he'll get over it.
He has to.
"Is it really necessary, father?" Genji asks, knowing full well that he can't change Sojiro's mind – he's already moved the entire family out to their summerhouse only because fresh air should be good for Genji's health. And it has been good, in fact. Sometimes he can almost forget...
As expected, he pays no mind to his son's wishes. "Good night, Genji," is all the man says before he leaves.
Sojiro makes sure to turn off the lights on his way out and Genji is almost certain that the hears the lock turn. He sighs. Might as well sleep...
A couple hours later, he thinks he's woken up by something tapping on his window. But the sleeping meds that Sojiro has him taking make his mind foggy, so it might be just a dream...
Sunlight. The roar of the waves. Wet sand on his feet.
He feels grounded here. At ease.
It's now been six months since Hanzo went missing. Genji remembers it like yesterday. A regular midweek morning where he left the family estate for some work regarding the clan... And never returned.
He remembers hugging Hanzo at the door and that his brother had kissed his cheek, and some bodyguard had coughed uncomfortably at the intimacy of that gesture. Their father laughed with some vague explanation about how his boys had grown up very close since their mother passed.
He had no idea just how close...
Genji might never be able to explain to their father why Hanzo's disappearance hurts so much. The memories alone make his heart feel like it might stop beating. An entire existence, always yearning for Hanzo – his brother, best friend and love of his life.
He sighs, tears slipping down his face without him so much as realizing they were coming. But someone calls out his name, all the way back by the house, and Genji swallows the sentiment.
Therapy goes as poorly as expected and by nighttime, Genji feels worse than he's had since they got here. He doesn't sit by the window and when Sojiro comes to say goodnight, somehow the man thinks that's a good sign. Tells Genji that Dr. Fukaya will be back in a couple of days, as if that's any comfort. Genji just nods vaguely. The meds are kicking in and the world begins to swirl around him...
Tap. Tap. Tap tap.
He wakes up with a start. This time he's certain of the sound he hears.
His hands are shaking as Genji walks up to the window. Whatever's out there continues to insistently hit against the glass, so he takes a deep breath before pulling apart the curtains.
A... bat?
"Poor thing," Genji breathes, relaxing at the sight of the creature. "Must have hit your head, huh?"
The animal somehow brings back some sense of peace to Genji's heart. It's a simple coincidence, that this irrational being got confused and wants into the room. And he's always had a soft spot for little flying things; he doesn't really think about consequences as he opens the window to let the bat in.
"See?" Genji chirps as the bat does a lap around his bedroom. "This probably isn't where you wanted to go."
Obviously he doesn't expect the animal to understand him, but the bat doesn't stop flying in circles for a full minute.
"You like it here?" He doesn't know whether to be scared or amazed, but he's certain that this little creature poses no threat or danger to anyone's health; if anything, having him around makes Genji happy, so he informs the bat that, "Well, you can stay as long as you like."
He slips back into bed and watches the bat for a few moments, before sleep takes hold of him once more. When he wakes up the next day, it's gone.
"I take it that therapy went well," Sojiro says at breakfast. "You look better... But remind me to have someone check your room for bed bugs."
Genji frowns. "I don't think there are bugs in my bed... I would have noticed."
"Silly boy," his father says with a dismissive chuckle.
It's not until after breakfast that he understands what Sojiro meant: a pair of tiny red dots adorn the side of his neck, which hadn't been there the day before. They feel wet at touch, but not itchy, and he really doesn't remember being bitten by anything. Odd...
Tap. Tap. Tap tap.
Genji stirs in his sleep, but doesn't fully wake up. Somewhere in the back of his consciousness he remembers leaving the window partly open for his friendly bat to visit. There's no reason to get out of bed, the creature can just fly in if it so wishes.
A deep voice calling out his name in a provocative whisper.
A sudden sting on the side of his neck.
His eyes blink open before he's aware of being awake and a familiar face comes into view.
"H-Hanzo?" He asks and the man smiles. Were his canines always so big and sharp? Is that blood on his gums?
"I'm here, brother," says that voice of allure and somehow it both does and doesn't sound quite like Hanzo.
He's so confused. His brain hasn't caught up to the present yet. "Is this a dream?"
A cold palm slides down the side of Genji's face, his throat. It slips under the neck of his shirt to caress his chest, leaving goosebumps in its trail. It downs on Genji that he's being held in the man's embrace. And his hand keeps brushing downwards, feeling all of Genji's torso, rousing him to consciousness...
"Does it feel like a dream?" He asks in a murmur, then chuckles.
The sound is so familiar...
Genji tries to free himself from the arms wound around him, but Hanzo won't let up.
"Hanzo, is it really you?" Fully awake, he shakes and stutters, but Hanzo merely shushes, holding even tighter onto Genji's form.
"Easy now, easy!" He kisses the top of Genji's head and suddenly he feels a sense of calm wash over him, such that it doesn't even surprise him, when it well should.
"You don't want to wake up the rest of the house," Hanzo continues saying. "If they find me here they'll send me away."
Hanzo is right, what is Genji thinking? Didn't they spend their entire lives slipping into each other's bedrooms late at night, when no one could see? This is their song and dance.
Genji relaxes against his body and Hanzo hums appreciatively. He starts to undo the buttons on Genji's shirt.
A thought occurs to him that he hadn't noticed before. "You're cold."
A hum. "You can help warm me."
Genji giggles as Hanzo's hungry hand massages his now exposed chest. He knows what his brother means.
"You haven't changed one bit," he says, reaching down to untie his pajama pants. He thinks he probably hasn't touched himself (or anyone else, for that matter) since Hanzo went missing, but Hanzo is right here. All is fine, now.
"You're wrong," there's a tone of entertainment in Hanzo's voice and he leans closer, until his lips brush against Genji's ear and his breath sends a chilly shiver down his spine, to say, "I bite now."
Genji could laugh if he weren't busy moaning. Suddenly he's a hard as a rock and Hanzo sees it, shifts his hand down and into Genji's pants.
"Bite me all you want," Genji manages before Hanzo's magical hand wraps around him.
He thinks he hears thank you, little brother, though Hanzo's lips don't move against his skin. But all of this could easily be just a very vivid wet dream, he wouldn't be surprised. So voices and whispers are to be expected.
All he knows is that Hanzo is still the person who knows him best, and that includes how he likes his cock touched. He gets lost in the feeling, so high on pleasure, that when the fangs pierce the skin of his neck Genji just tightens his hold on Hanzo's hair, begs for more, faster, harder! And he delivers. He always delivers.
He passes out, he thinks, when he climaxes, because when he wakes up the next day, Genji is alone in bed.
"You're late," Sojiro says when Genji wanders into the kitchen. He looks up from his phone and frowns at the sight of his son. "And pale. Did you have a nightmare or something?"
A nightmare? Genji wouldn't call it that...
"A cold, I think," he lies, sinking heavily onto a chair.
His father hums. It sounds exactly like Hanzo's. "I told you not to stay at the beach after dark. I'll have someone make you tea."
He gets up from his chair and makes to leave the room, but stops and really looks a Genji for a moment. And frowns. "Those beg bugs are still around? And I was told your bedroom was clean."
Angrily, he stomps away and Genji knows someone will be getting yelled at shortly. But his concerns are somewhere else. He reaches upwards and touches his neck; the wounds feel slightly bigger and when he looks, there's a tiny smear of blood on his fingertips.
Hanzo appears in his dreams again that night. And again, when Genji tries to ask about where he's been and why he doesn't want others to see him, he deflects the question, kisses Genji's head and suddenly he forgets his anger, his worries.
He hums against Genji's neck, licks over the bug bites lovingly. Genji just shivers, hugging onto him lest he leaves again. But he does anyways. Genji wakes up alone again.
By the third night, he's already expecting the visit. He hears it when the bat flies into the room and, a minute later, feels Hanzo slipping into bed beside him. The whole thing has gotten Genji thinking and this only proves that he's right.
Somehow, supernatural beings are real and his brother is a vampire.
Hanzo bursts out laughing before Genji even says anything. "Does it scare you?"
Genji sits up and stares at his brother – or what used to be him. Pale skin, red eyes. His long hair falls loose around his face, his shoulders. Shiny and beautiful as ever. The sharpness of his expression is irresistibly sexy; Genji feels a literal sigh slip out of his lips.
"No," he says with honesty. "You couldn't scare me if you tried."
Hanzo's eyes soften and he fully sits on the bed beside Genji, leans in for a kiss that Genji throws himself into, body and soul.
"We can run away together," Hanzo whispers. "Forget the family, forget everything. You can be like me and then you'll be free."
Free. He's crying before he knows it and Hanzo wipes away the tears with gentle fingers.
"Are you happy?" Genji asks, not because he worries about his own happiness, but because he cares about his brother. It's been 6 whole months. Were they good or bad? Where has he been?
The sincerity in Hanzo's eyes is almost palpable. "How could I be happy without you at my side?"
A sob wracks through Genji's body and he pulls Hanzo into another kiss, and another, and another. An hour later they're curled into each other, naked and clear-headed, and as he curls his fingers into Hanzo's hair, he realizes the answer is so very simple.
"Take me," he whispers against his brother's smile. "For all eternity."
Illuminated by the moon, Hanzo's face seems to glow, a picture of absolute beauty that Genji will forever remember and cherish.
"For all eternity."

r i n g s + he’s a bit of a fixer upper? :DD
lex, my love 💕thank you for asking about these ones, i am very excited about these two.
for r i n g s — this one is actually the pwp i've been working on and have shared a teeny tiny bit of here already. here is a lil snip from a piece i just wrote for it the other day:
He starts to retreat, and even though Steve should be thrilled — to be left alone, to be given some privacy to either finish or wallow in his embarrassment — something in his head screams at him to not let Eddie go just yet.
Before he can even comprehend what he’s doing, or why, his hands fly out towards Eddie, and he calls out, “Wait!”
Eddie stops in his tracks. Hovers on the threshold and turns back towards Steve with both eyebrows raised, a mixture of surprise and curiosity.
And shit. Steve did not think this far ahead. Didn’t think at all, really. There’s no plan here, just his big mouth, opening without his permission. He has no idea what to say next.
Except — figuring that out becomes the least of his worries.
Because the expectant look has melted right off of Eddie’s face as he stands frozen in the doorway. His pretty wide eyes are zeroed in on Steve’s outstretched hands — both of his hands.
The rings. Fuck.
Eddie is staring right at them, and there is no mistaking them.
“Are those… are you wearing my rings?” Eddie asks slowly.
for he's a bit of a fixer upper — this one is another chaptered fic idea i had more recently and i have actually gone so far as to start planning the chapters out! i talked about this one in the server a bit a while ago, and it is heavily hallmark movie inspired LOL, buuuut basically the rough idea is steve moves away from hawkins in 1989. his parents have been nagging him for years now to join his father's business, "it's not too late to pick yourself up and fix your reputation, steven", and, well, that's the last thing steve wants to do. he can't. he won't. it is this, plus the fact that the kids have all graduated and are going off to college, which means they don't need him anymore, which means that he won't have a purpose anymore, that propels him out of hawkins, finally.
the final nail in the coffin of his decision to get the hell out is eddie. because after spring of 1986 steve and eddie became friends. good friends. great friends, even. and that friendship only grew and grew over the years. steve doesn't realize until the end of 1988/early 1989 that somewhere along the way those warm and fuzzy feelings he always got around eddie weren't just friendship feelings. no, he's got feelings feelings. eventually steve finds out that eddie likes him too — that eddie is in love with him. and that, shit, that terrifies steve, actually. because it's one thing to play in hypotheticals in his head, and another thing entirely for it to be his reality. Something™️ happens (a kiss maybe?) between them and steve freaks out. he hasn't come to terms with his sexuality yet, doesn't even know what he is because he still likes girls... but eddie... he's confused and he's scared and he's not thinking straight (hah) and it's the last straw. he disappears a few days later.
he doesn't keep in touch with anyone — except for robin, who basically forces him to keep in contact with her. he feels guilty about leaving, so incredibly guilty, for so many reasons, but he'd been at his breaking point.
steve doesn't go back to hawkins. not one single time since he leaves.
until he gets the call that his parents have died. it was a car crash. no survivors. they went quick, the doctors tell him, they didn't suffer. (steve doesn't know how he feels about that. then he immediately feels guilty for thinking that.) blah blah blah lots of conflicted feelings about his parents and his relationship with them and blah blah blah.
in the aftermath, though, he is left to deal with the fallout of their lives — which includes their old house that has now come into his name. steve has absolutely no desire to live in that place. it was never a home to him then, why would it be now?
he decides to sell it.
this, of course, means he has to make the trek back to hawkins to take a look at it, clear out any personal belongings he might want to keep, get it ready for listing and walk throughs and all that. the place hasn't been touched since the "earthquakes" so he doesn't expect there will be much to do aside from clearing out a thick layer of dust.
only, when he gets there he finds the place in much worse condition than he thought. the lawn is an awful mixture of dead and overgrown; a couple windows are broken; the paint is faded; there is plenty of dust, but there is also mold in some places, and the water has long since been shut off, electricity too, and some of the wiring has been chewed through by rats or some wild animal.
basically, the house is a disaster and needs a complete revamping.
it's a much bigger project than steve expected, but he's got the money to do it (his parents hadn't taken him out of the will — a surprise to him), and he supposes he's got the time too. and he has the skillset to do most of the work himself too (thanks to the odd jobs he'd picked up and bounced between since he'd left hawkins). so he decides to fix it up himself.
he tells this to robin, who he is staying with while he's back in hawkins, and robin absolutely will not stand for that. she tells him he's crazy, that that's way too much work to take on alone. it takes a lot of arguing and nagging before robin finally gets steve to agree to hire a professional to help him.
enter: eddie munson.
not long after steve had left, eddie got a job at the local repair and maintenance shop. corroded coffin never took off like eddie had hoped, but his career as a handyman did. he got good at it, worked hard, earned himself a whole new reputation. the owner didn't have any children or grandchildren, so when he passed, he left the shop to eddie. it's the only repair and maintenance shop that's local, and it's all eddie's.
so, when steve sets up the appointment (or maybe robin sets it up for him so eddie doesn't know it's steve until the last minute) and eddie rolls up to get started, they see each other again.
for the first time in ten years.
for the first time since steve left.
immediately, steve wants to explain. to apologize. but eddie jumps straight into business and doesn't give him the chance to. he just treats steve like any ol customer. only colder. he is, clearly, understandably, still upset. still hurt.
blah blah blah
slowly but surely, eddie starts to open back up around steve, to steve. the grudge is let go of (probably after something Pivotal happens... an injury maybe? hmmm), they have a Conversation about what happened. steve gets his chance to apologize. eddie works on forgiving him. they become friends again.
and over the course of fixing up steve's old house, they start to fall in love again.
and at some point, it stops being eddie taking creative direction from steve, and turns into the two of them collaborating, sharing the choices, making decisions together; the house becomes just as much eddie's as it is steve's.
by the time they finish the repairs, steve finds that he doesn't want to sell anymore. he wants to stay.
he wants to stay, and he wants eddie to live there with him. the two of them, together. in the house they built. the home they made together. 💕
((WOOF sorry that got LONG lol but god i want to write this one SOOOO bad, but, again, chaptered fics are scary!! i am Determined though!!))

Soooo, I'm really bad about posting updates for MY writing, mostly because long periods between updates are a combination of me not being in a writing mood/not feeling Nephilim Witch (the only fic I'm currently posting) at the moment and then loosing track of how long its been and in those cases there's just... not a whole lot to say? I don't try to make excuses, the long periods between updates are almost always totally on me, and even when its something like me getting busy with IRL stuff it tends not to cross my mind to update here, and I honestly don't know if any of my fanfic readers will see this because of that, but who knows.
Anyway, mostly the long update wait on Nephilim Witch is due to the fact my brain lost interest in SAO completely for a while, so I really wasn't feeling Nephilim Witch or getting any inspiration for it. I'm posting THIS because while I intend to put the above part of this paragraph in my author's notes, when I was thinking about writing and updating recently I realized I was liable to mention that while the rest of it was totally on me, a bit over month of it wasn't, and then I'd want to explain and then I'd end up telling a summary of the story and rambling and end up with a long ass author's note that an unknown percentage of my readers wouldn't care about since it's about personal stuff and would just add a bunch in the author's note and bog it down.
Anyway! For a solid month of the time between the last time I updated and now, I was actually sick as fuck, admitted to the hospital, and then recovering at home. The short version is that I ended up with lesions in my brain, frontal lobe to be exact, and was in the hospital for 2 weeks then recovering at home. Never actually DID find out what was going on exactly since there was some errors and shit about lack of hearing back about test results after I got discharged and sending my reference to the wrong place for follow up appointments which never seemed to get cleared up. Buuut, my discharge papers called me "young woman with abnormal MRI suggesting ADEM" and I looked up ADEM as used in medical terminology and found that from my understanding it's basically when your body gets a viral or bacterial infection (or even rarely occurring when you get vacation shots) and the body flips the fuck out and overreacts like a drama queen, and since other then my recovery period I've been totally fine in the MONTHS since the hospital gave me treatment, while I'll be the first to tell you I'm NOT a doctor in any way shape or form, I'm gonna go out a limb and say they were right.
But MAN, was that a ride and a half in the hospital, of which me telling my dad that I think I needed to go to was a red flag all on its own since there's a long standing joke in my dads side of the family that if a member of his family is going to the hospital of their own volition that you KNOW shits serious. Case in point, no joke, my dad once tried to insist to his girlfriend that he was FINE and get up off the couch to go to work and literally passed out on his feet, and only didn't smash his head on the coffee table because she was strong enough to catch him and managed to get him to fall onto the couch instead of forward. When they got to the hospital, during check in they put one of those sensors on his finger to check oxygen levels, and the lady checking him in glanced over at the results after getting a few pieces of information, frowned and messed with it a moment, went back to getting information, checked again and changed it to another finger and just stared at the readout for a few moments before going "Nope! We can get you checked in later! You're going back NOW!" and unfortunately my family is stubborn enough in the "oh it's FINE its likely nothing serious, I'll get over it soon." way that it wasn't really... out of character for my family.
Anyway, when I went to the hospital, I was so out of it that when my sister visited my parents, who were almost glued to my bedside out of a worry big enough to get my mom to basically drop everything and come down from Washington (the state, not the capital, I live in Oregon, hence coming DOWN) to tell her that, no, the hospital had NOT given me any medication that was making me super loopy and out of it, that was just part of whatever was wrong with me at the time.
Not kidding about it being a RIDE at the hospital. No joke or exaggeration, I had 11 blood tests, a CT scan, 4 MRIs, and a SPINAL TAP, without even taking into account the normal stuff like an EKG or urine test. Hell, at one point they were seriously concerned I might have brain cancer and were telling me that while they were waiting for a few more test results, unless something changed, they were gonna drill into my head the next day so as to get a biopsy sample to see if it WAS cancer. The only reason it ended up NOT happening was because, as my dad put it, the neurologist I had came down the hall damn near skipping, and informed him that the results from my spinal tap had shown a certain kind of cell, that I'm absolutely spacing the name of right now, that's in the brain and spinal fluid and all of the ones in my spinal tap were healthy and doing their job and the chances of them being like that AND me having brain cancer while theoretically possible were astronomical enough that they'd canceled by brain biopsy, which is cool, since they didn't have to drill into my head.
So. Yeah. Anyway! I'm totally fine now, and that DID eat up over a month of my time, and it would be unreasonable as all hell to blame that month at least on me, though again, most of the period between updates is totally on me, either due to just not being in the mood to write, period, or my brain just not having any inspiration for Nephilim Witch in particular. Which is why even though it's the ONLY story I'm posting right now, I technically have 10 planned multi-chapter fics that range from having only part of the first chapter down so I have the premise on hand as well as a starting point if I feel up for that one in particular to.... um.... eight completed chapters and the beginning of the ninth making over 84,500 words in the fic proper... and another 16,000 of later scenes/notes...
But yeah, it took me WAY to long to get the most recent chapter out, I'm well aware of that, and mostly that was on me due to lack of writing inspiration, bring in the mood for it in general, or for Nephilim Witch in particular, but a solid month of that was NOT my fault.

and the winner is... ~ eminem

request?: yes!
“hey, love your writing sm ❤️ I really like the concept where the reader is a young actress with Eminem, so can I request one where they go to Marshall’s award show for the first time publicly, they try to keep it low key but the reader presents an award and when Em wins they share a warm moment on stage and the media loses it? thanks in advance”

Tumblr media
It was hard to keep my hands off of Marshall as we walked down the red carpet. It was our first public outing as a couple, but Marshall wasn’t very into PDA so we had decided to keep it somewhat lowkey. It seemed like a good idea in theory, until Marshall did the unthinkable and showed up dressed in a suit. How am I supposed to not jump his bones when he looks damn fine in a suit?
Every time I so much as glanced at him the paparazzi would go crazy. So many flashing lights that eventually I was seeing spots. It was hard to keep smiling when I couldn’t even see ahead of me.
Marshall put an arm around my waist - which of course led to more flashing lights - and walked me off the red carpet into the venue. The minute I walked through the doors into the dimly lit room, it really was like I couldn’t see. I had to take a minute to let my eyes adjust to the sudden light change.
“Weird how quickly I go from basically a nobody on a red carpet to a hot commodity just because I have attractive arm candy,” I joked.
A half smile tugged at Marshall’s lips. “You were never a nobody. Not to me anyways.”
“Awe, that’s so sweet it’s kind of gross,” I teased.
This earned me an actual laugh as Marshall pulled me in for a kiss. Without any prying eyes around, we felt free to actually be a couple.
We engaged with some others in the industry, including those Marshall considered to be close friends of his. I felt out of place at this music award show as an actress who was still trying to become more than just a side character in the movies she starred in. I was grateful to have Marshall there to help me through it.
When we took our seats as the show was starting, Marshall reached over to take my hand. “Are you okay?”
I shrugged. “Nervous I think. Which I shouldn’t be because it’s just me announcing an award, but it’s my first time on an award show stage for any reason, and it’s a pretty big award.”
“And it’s one I’m nominated for.”
I looked over at Marshall with wide eyes. “What?!”
“You didn’t know?”
I shook my head. Now I felt so much more nervous. What if I pulled a Steve Harvey and said the wrong name because I wanted Marshall to win? Or what if he actually did win but everyone thought I said he did because we were dating? I tried to focus on the stage ahead of me but my heart was beating so fast that my vision was starting to get blurry. I felt warm, like I was sweating, which made me worry that my makeup was starting to run. I was going to look disgusting with my makeup running on live television.
Sensing my new found nervousness, Marshall gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.
“Hey, look at me.” I glanced over to meet his gaze. “It’s going to be okay. You’ve rehearsed this speech so much that you can say it without the teleprompter. It’s not going to be any different just because I’m nominated. If I win, you give me the award and I do a speech. If I don’t win, you give the award to whoever does and they make a speech. It’s not a big deal, (Y/N), don’t worry too much about it.”
I wished I could’ve just let my fear rush from my body, but it was still there. Before I could say anything else, the lights went down and the show officially started.
I tried to just sit and enjoy the show but it was hard when I had my upcoming presenter role looming over me. Of course, it was one of the last awards of the show, so I had to sit there and let my nerves build as the suspense for the winner of the award grew as well.
Every now and then Marshall would give my hand another squeeze and I would calm down for that split second. Having him by my side helped a lot, but every time I remembered that he might be the recipient of the award I became nervous again.
Finally, it was my time to take the stage. They passed me the envelope with the name of the winner and motioned for me to take the stage. I plastered a smile on my face as my name was called and I walked onto the stage. I hoped the cameras couldn’t pick up my shaking, and I really hoped my shaking wouldn’t make my voice sound as bad as I feared it would.
“This award can only go to the best of the best,” I started, glancing at the prompter in front of me to make sure I was saying the words correctly. “The person who worked the hardest and had the best payoff with their release. The competition this year is fierce, and it was hard to narrow it down to just these five artists, as there have been so many amazing works of art released this past year. It has been an even harder choice to pick who of them all is the best, although I might be bias in saying I’ve already chosen my favorite.”
The audience chuckled at my improved addition to the speech.
“Ladies and gentlemen, here are your nominees.”
I watched the video that played of the nominated artists. My heart skipped a beat when Marshall came up, a few clips from the music videos he had filmed playing in a short montage. He had worked so hard on his latest album, every part of me hoped that he would be the winner I was announcing.
As the video came to an end, I turned back to face the audience (and the cameras) to announce the winner.
“And the award goes to...”
I tried not to let my slight fear show as I fumbled with the envelope for a moment. I started to worry that I wouldn’t even be able to open it and completely embarrass myself on live TV. I tried not to sigh with relief when the seal perfectly popped open and I was able to pull the card out. The smile on my face had to have given away the winner before the words were even out of my mouth.
“Eminem!”
The crowd cheered and stood from their seats. A camera found Marshall, who was standing from his seat and hugging Paul and Denaun before making his way to the stage. I couldn’t help but smile proudly at him as I extended the award I was holding - his award - to him.
I was taken by surprise when he wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me in for a kiss. It was brief since he had an award to accept, but it was enough to make my head spin, the way his kisses usually did.
When he pulled away I was still so stunned that I almost forgot to give him his award. I could see him trying to hold back a laugh as he took it from my hands and turned to the microphone.
“Thank you,” he said to the still cheering audience. For a minute I forgot there was anyone else in the room, and realizing so many people had watched that kiss made my cheeks heat up. “I’d like to thank my manager, Paul, who for some reason still backs me with everything I do and produce even when it pushes the boundaries a little too much. I also want to thank the good Doctor, who has been supporting me since day one and who has always believed in me and gave me this platform to make music and to push the boundaries that Paul has to deal with. My daughters, my biggest inspirations. And of course, I’d like to thank the beautiful lady who presented this award to me tonight. I may not show it publicly but I am my happiest when I’m with you and I cannot thank you enough for that.”
I blinked away the tears forming in my eyes as I clapped along with the audience. The music started playing as Marshall offered me his arm to walk me off the stage. I felt like I was floating on cloud nine as we walked down the stairs and backstage, away from the cameras and the thousands of people watching us, both in person and on TV.
We were greeted backstage by other presenters and winners who were still mingling and celebrating their wins. Marshall was congratulated and a few of the other presenters told me how well I did with my presentation. I was proud of myself for getting through it, but I was more proud that I didn’t go completely airheaded after Marshall kissed me.
When we finally got away from the large amount of people, Marshall pulled me in for another kiss.
“So much for keeping it lowkey, huh?” I teased when I pulled away.
“I was caught up in the moment,” he said with a shrug, but I wasn’t completely convinced.
“That speech was uncharacteristically sweet,” I said. “For your public persona anyways. I figured you’d keep it short and sweet and maybe get the show into a little bit of trouble with an unplanned curse word.”
He chuckled. “Well normally that would be how things go. But I meant what I said during my speech: you make me the happiest I’ve ever been. When you said my name I just couldn’t help but feel this unfamiliar surge of happiness and excitement at winning. You know I don’t care about these types of award shows, but the fact that you presented this award to me made me care for just a second. I know I’ll be the talking point for the next few days because of this, but right now I don’t care all that much.”
Tears were welling in my eyes again as I pulled him back to me. “Shut up, you’re gonna ruin my makeup.”
His laugh filled my ears as he pulled me for another kiss. The happiness he said he felt coursed through my veins too. I couldn’t imagine being with anyone else in a moment like this.
When he pulled away he put his arm around me again and started to walk towards the door. “Let’s get out of here. I think I wanna celebrate my win with the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met.”
I smiled brightly at him. “I like the sound of that.”

Hi 2pretty! 💖
I just wanted to share some of the changes in my life inspired by you and the people around me. This is a lot of text and I understand if you can't read it or share it.
A bit of context: I've been following you now for almost a year, I found you just before starting my first semester at med school. I was already burnt out and I generally felt depressed and miserable, and I wanted to change that. I wanted a healthier mind and body, I wanted to meet my goals.
Better Friends
Like 6 months ago I noticed that my closest friends didn't really listen to me or valued my opinion after we had a fight. I analyzed what things we had in common, and found that our fundamental values didn't align anymore. I wanted to live a quiet life free of drama, gossip, misery and online bullying. I felt trapped, but my mind was set. I thanked them for our times together and explained that I just didn't feel like it was appropriate to continue treating each other.
Since then I've felt very calm, I do not regret my decision. People have shown me how they throw indirects about me in social media. They have written to me directly like 5 times trying to make me feel bad. I moved on (although it was very hurtful to see their behavior) while they keep trying to scare me? Make me miserable? Now I'm in a small group of friends. I'm still getting to know them, but I feel like they're generally more chill and so far I've felt good around them.
Grades
My first semester was very hard. Everything was still online and a lot of things in my life felt overwhelming. I tried to be a disciplined student, but I failed to sit down and study. I had to push myself very hard to do the bare minimum, but at the same time did as best as I could? I felt like I was a car running low on gas, I wasn't at my best performance, but I was still trying to go after my goals.
I ended up failing a subject for various reasons: lack of discipline, feeling like my worth depended on my grades, stressed out by the fight with my friends, trouble in my family...
Right now I am retaking this subject, and I have pushed myself harder. I still struggle to sit down and study everyday. In fact I can barely sit down and study for my finals. But I go to all my classes, I do all the readings, I prepared notes, paid attention in class and I was one of the students who participated the most. Absolutely in love with those butterflies in my stomach when the doctors ask a question which I know the answer to, and despite feeling a bit nervous of speaking up, something takes over me, and before I realize it my hand is up, I'm speaking, answering the question, and I get it right.
Every now and then I'm in a limbo where I feel like right now I've done well enough or feeling like I'm absolutely mediocre. Still, I feel WAY better than before and I know that at least I'm doing more than the first time I took this class.
Today I heard I got an 86 on my exam!! It was actually quite ironic because this morning I woke up all nauseous and crying, exaggerating what I remembered about the exam. This is one of the best scores I've gotten since I entered med school. This is in fact the best score I've gotten in this subject. Now I just need to push through and do well on my final to be back on the regular track. I'm still struggling to find that fire in my heart to study, but this is the best I've felt and performed for years ((with performance I don't mean results, I mean the actual journey, preparation, acquisition of knowledge)). I know I can do a lot better and will work towards it, but I'm so proud to see my progress after struggling for so long. Like I actually teared up when I saw my score. It felt so good to see my work come intro fruition.
Self confidence and looks
Still working on this aspect. The afternoon I found your blog I read ALL your posts about pretty privilege. A year ago I really wanted to elevate my presentation because I've always felt lesser than other girls in this aspect.
I haven't quite found my style, but one of my new friends is constantly saying how much she loves my outfits. Another friend said she looks up to me because she feels like I'm elegant? I had never recieved such compliments in my life. This isn't some purely materialistic thing. Dressing up makes me feel good and confident. I used to feel very nervous of what people would think or say about me. Now I just go on and do things without caring much. I don't feel so small anymore. Also, a month ago I went grocery shopping alone. 2 older men went out of their way to help me when I didn't even ask for help. Being kind and looking good definetly gets you to places.
Catholicism
I was raised Catholic, but drifted away from God for various reasons. A lot of other Catholics have tried to get me back in, but it felt like I was some project to them? I always understood it came out of love, yet this is a journey I had to come back to by myself.
When you started to speak more about your religious experience I felt something. I was mainly intrigued by the way you described your faith and connection to God.
One of my new friends is Christian, and when interacting with her I noticed so many details about her connection to Him. Her calmness, kindness, discipline. There was just something about her that really drew me in. I started to ask her questions about her experience with faith, and it felt so real? Before when I'd listen to people speak about it I'd get the ick. Even when I was religious I couldn't understand when people described feeling His presence, power, love. But when she described it, it felt like the most genuine thing I've heard.
I hadn't thought much about my curiosity until last week, when before sleeping I suddenly felt the urge to pray and just speak with Him. I still have a long way to go to reconnect with Him and rebuild our relationship, but I'm speaking with Him almost daily (some days I've fallen asleep before praying 😭😭, in fact, most times I drift off, wake up, and continue praying? 😭 idk why it's so soothing to the point of falling asleep mid-conversation).
I always heard people describing how they felt God's calling, but it was so foreign to me, I couldn't understand it at all. But that night I felt very drawn to him, and I think it was his way of calling ME. I still need to figure out what He has in his plans.
Discipline
Definetly something I wanted to work on, but still struggle with. I really really really do struggle with consistency and discipline. Yet I know this is the highest point I've been since 2019? 2020? Don't want to be too hard on myself for this because I know I'll probably end up in some guilt spiral, but regardless of my outcome in this class (I might fail and need to retake it for a 3rd time) I will spend all summer building my concentration and developing different skills.
I have cut off Instagram from my life, still struggle with Twitter tho... I deleted all games from my phone. I only watch TV when I'm downstairs. I have almost all notifications turned off my phone, so now I only reply to messages when I willingly open WhatsApp. This last thing is great progress, because every day I'd notice how I would stay there waiting for people to reply to my messages, and all the stress notifications caused me. Will definetly work more on digital-detoxing.
Health wise I've been eating better. I'm overeating way less, I try to eat a fruit at least once a day. I am now eating 3 times a day at normal times. Everyday I go to sleep before 12 p.m (feel sleepy at 11 but sometimes I have to delay my sleep a bit...), I wake up at more reasonable times.
Haven't been able to start a fitness regime (had surgery like 2 months ago for ovarian torsion, couldn't do physical activity for a month, and tbh now I'm putting it off until I'm done with exams). I plan on running a 5k marathon by November to motivate myself to consistently work out these months.
----
I still have a LOT to work on, but I am very proud of my progress so far. I know there's untapped potential in me, and I plan to squeeze it all out. My progress might not be much compared to others, but it's honest work and I'm thankful for all the little and big struggles I've faced.
Like I said, I used to feel like a beat down car running low on gasoline that was still forced to power through it all. I felt so tired, miserable, depressed, and most of all doomed. I might not be the happiest person in earth, but my mood is significantly better. I do not feel dread, I am not envious of others, I criticize people way less, I feel loved, I feel confident. I was so spiteful that I deemed nature as something stupid and childish (out of my own spite and resentment towards people who were happier than me), yet today I was so happy to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin as I walked next my school's trees. I really cannot thank you enough for being such a positive influence in my life. Whenever you post about good things happening to you, I feel so happy for you and at the same time I feel inspired. I don't know if my message properly reflected how you have impacted my life, but please know that you have inspired me to change for the better. I have never been so happy. Really, thank you so so so so much 2pretty. Have a great day! 💖
(Sorry for any typos or weird expressions, I just let my mind flow on the keyboard. And again, sorry for the long message 😭)
My jaw is on the floor 😍. This is incredible! I love your transformation and I am so proud to have been some help to you on your journey. I love you. Keep going strong 💘💕

Normal People don't know their IQ
(A/N): Inspired by me, who recently discovered normal people don’t know their IQ, while I was tested two or three times already...
Summary: A certain someone is the only way to get the UnSub. But there’s also something different that makes her special.
Warnings: Angst (fluffy end, I swear), language, mentions of rape and torture, mention of dead people, the usual CM stuff I guess Wordcount: 2.0k
✨Masterlist✨ _________________________________________
“Garcia, I need you to look into high school teachers, who are suspended or fired for inappropriate behavior towards students and live in the area of the kidnappings”, Hotch orders in a stern voice. But you can’t blame him, after all there are currently six dead teenage girls and one missing. One can only hope and work as fast as possible to get her back to her parents alive.
The team is working a case in Sacramento, California. Teenage girls get abducted on their way home from school, are held for exactly a week and are killed by a simple cut to their throat. The torture they have to endure beforehand isn’t as simple. The last two also show signs of rape.
The dumbing sites are different parks all over the city. The placing happens overnight only to have the girls found the next morning by a clueless jogger or stroller.
“Let’s go over the profile again, I feel like we are missing something”, Rossi commands. His gut feeling tells him only that much, he just has to find out what it is.
“It’s a white male in his mid thirties to late forties. He blends in, so he has to be or has been a teacher. Someone who looks like they belong into a school isn’t suspicious”, Spencer counts the facts.
“The victims all look similar, probably resembling an ex-wife or girlfriend”, Morgan adds. Before he can get into the depth of the torture a phone rings.
“My lovely crime fighters, I got an address. Charles Collins. philosophy and history. Got suspended for suggestive talk towards his female students. He is also said to stare at them and certain body parts for way too long and way too obvious. Gross. Annnd that- wait”
“What is it, Garcia?” Hotch asks after a moment of silence, which is unusual for the ever bubbly tech analyst.
“You got your profile wrong. Collins doesn’t take these girls because of an ex flame.”
The team looks at each other in confusion. Garcia always stresses how she isn’t a profiler and can’t judge over people, because she only wants to see the good in them. How is she able to tell that the profile is off?
“Shoot baby girl, we don’t have much time left”, Derek urges her. He wants nothing more than to have this SOB finally behind bars. The whole team wants that.
“He has a daughter. Technically it’s not his daughter, it’s someone else’s, but he is her foster father. Go and please save both girls!”
Penelope doesn’t have to say it twice. After a brief thank you and goodbye the team is on their way to the given address. As soons as they get there, everyone notices the absence of a car in the driveway. Hotch sends Spencer, Emily and Derek through the back door, the rest goes in from the front.
“FBI! OPEN UP!”
It’s needless to say that nobody opens up. There is no other way than kicking the doors down.
After entering the house and clearing the first floor, Rossi points towards the stairs that leads to the first story. There are only two rooms. A bathroom right hand and a closed door left hand.
Morgan counts quietly down before also kicking this door down and screaming “FBI!” But he seemingly talks with air, because there is no one to be found. Once again the team swarms out to look for evidence or clues.
As Spencer looks through the room they cleared last, he sees various things that make him smile. Several bookshelves are flooded with all kinds of genres, authors and covers. At first he can’t make out in which way they are sorted. But a closer look makes him realize that they are sorted by the author’s birth year. The doctor is kind of impressed, because that means the person knows when they are born in order to find a certain book. He likes the idea, it is a nice little challenge.
While he investigates further a sound makes him stop. He sends a text to Emily and waits for her. When she enters the room Spencer gestures to her to keep it quiet. Then he points to the bed.
They lower themselves down to the floor at the same time on each side of it. A girl, no older than 14 years, lays there shivering in angst. With big doe eyes she looks at Spencer and whispers:
“Please don’t hurt me.”
A while later the team is back at the station with the girl sitting in one of the interrogation rooms. The temperature is already set down, though Hotch feels really bad for it. Still there is another girl out there waiting to be safed.
“Baby girl, what can you give us on her?” Morgan sets his phone in the middle of the table and switches the speaker on.
“Our little girl’s name is (Y/N) (Y/L/N), fourteen years old. Parents were deemed to be unable to look after her since they are both heavy drug addicts and didn’t even register her crying for two hours straight. Since the age of six months she bounces through the system with nobody wanting to keep her longer than two years. They claim she is too smart for them and want somebody to look after her, who can challenge her intellectually.
“Collins took her in one and a half years ago. He got her signed up in several activities after school, like chess and academic decathlon. As of right now she is a junior with an opportunity to graduate next year. Her teachers describe her as incredibly bright with a complicated way of thinking.”
“Complicated way of thinking? Her intelligence was neglected for years, so she gave herself her own challenges. I found her books sorted by the birth year of the authors. She found ways of making things more difficult for herself, that’s why she fabricated strange ways of thinking. This is often found in children with high intelligence, who are not boosted enough by their environment”, Spencer explains, getting more and more furious.
His colleagues feel that this is a sensitive subject for their resident genius. JJ comfortably puts a hand on his shoulder, making the tense go away.
“Emily and Dave, I want both of you to interrogate her. We need to know where he hides the girls. JJ, try to hold the press off for a bit longer. Morgan, Reid, I want you to watch and look for tells or anything else”, Aaron orders.
Everyone works on their given task immediately.
You don’t need to be a profiler to see that (Y/N) is scared out of her mind. She has her feet on her chair and her head lies on her knees. When the two agents enter, she tries to at least fake some kind of composer. But she fails miserably at it.
“Hello (Y/N), may I call you that?” Emily begins in a soft voice. The teenager nods shyly. “Good, (Y/N). My name is Emily Prentiss and this is David Rossi. We are agents from the Behavior Analysis Unit from the FBI. Do you know why you are here?” The teenager shakes her head.
“Ok, let’s cut the chase”, David's voice booms through the small room. “You know exactly why you are here. From what we saw in your room you are an incredibly smart girl. How high is your IQ? 130? 135?”
“147 a-actually”, she nervously corrects the agent, never meeting his eye. The team notices this fairly quickly.
“Even better, normal people don’t know their IQ. So you know what your forster father does. You saw the news, you read the papers, you heard your classmates talk. In addition to that, the girls look alarmingly similar to you. And all of the sudden Charles is more often out than usual. So do us a favor and come clear.” Then he pulls out a picture from a manila folder on the table. Emily tries to intervene.
“Rossi, don’t. She is not the UnSub. (Y/N) is just unfortunate to be at the wrong place.” “She might as well be another UnSub if she doesn’t do anything to help us. Do you know how long you are going to jail for helping hi-”
“I don’t know anything. I- of course I saw what is h-happening. A-and I connected the dots a long time a-ago. You know, Charles lost his job and that’s a stressor. T-then Child Service was investigating him, because of the suspension’s reasons. I-I couldn’t do anything. I had no evidence, the police wouldn’t believe me. I asked him once wh-what he thinks about, you know, what’s happening. He slapped me and told me to not talk about it again. I’m so sorry, I wanna help. The only thing that comes into my mind is an old cabin he once mentioned when I first arrived at his. B-but I don’t know if it helps you. P-please, I don’t want to go to jail or juvenile, I-” Then (Y/N) breaks down into tears.
Emily is in an instant by her side trying to calm her down, while Hotch gives the information to Garcia. As soon as she finds the location, JJ takes a seat next to (Y/N) and the rest of the team flies out.
“You don’t have to be scared of him anymore, Sweetheart. My colleagues will find him and he will be tried and convicted. He will never be a threat to you again”, the blonde tries to comfort her.
“Whenever I leave an abusive home, there will be another one that’s exactly the same. The only difference with Charles was that he seemed to understand me. He helped me. There’s nobody who is willing to do what he did for me”, she admits sadly.
It breaks JJ’s heart, because her words are true. Even though he is a killer, Collins did help her. But she is also determined to show the young girl that he isn’t the only one who can do that. That there are more people out there, who are kind and as helpful if not more.
Not long after this the team brings the man into the station, Morgan guiding him with a deadbolt-like grip.
Rossi spots (Y/N) in a break room with a hot drink in her hands. While making his way over there, Spencer follows him. He wants to talk with her as well.
“(Y/N) I’m sincerely sorry if I hurt you earlier. I didn’t intend to scare you, we just had to act quickly and you were the only source of information available. I also wanted to tell you, that your achievements are astonishing and I guarantee you a bright future, maybe even at the FBI”, he winks at the end of his last sentence.
“I understand, Agent Rossi. But doesn’t everybody know their IQ? I assumed everybody gets at least tested once in their life in some way”, she asks with surprise in her voice.
At that the older man is speechless. Of all things she could accuse him of legitimately, (Y/N) goes with the most innocent question.
“Actually, not everybody gets tested. A reliable test has to be done by a psychologist and most people don’t go to one. Furthermore there has to be a valid reason to do one, that’s why a great part of the population doesn’t know their IQ”, intervenes Spencer. He has to infodump, since the last time was over half an hour ago.
“But you also have to differentiate between the several kinds of intelligence, because intelligence is way more than being good at math. There…”
Rossi stopped listening to the excited interaction between the two geniuses. Instead he watches their body languages and facial expressions. He hasn’t seen both of them more at calm than they are now.
After all there might be a way for (Y/N) to get a little Happy End.

The Perfect White Flower--and Other Nonexistent Things
a/n YALL THIS IS PROBABLY DUMB BUT I HAD THIS IDEA ABOUT A HARRY STYLES X READER FIC THATS BASED ON THE PLOT OF JANE THE VIRGIN AND I WANTED TO WRITE IT SO BADLY I MADE THIS ACCOUNT
disclaimer--wont follow the show exactly
Pairing: Harry Styles x latina! reader (a key factor of the show revolves around the lead being latina, and im latina and honestly love writing for us but anyone can still read and understand/hopefully enjoy and the fic doesn’t involve any physical descriptions:))
Series Summary: Y/n l/n has had the world figured out since she was a child. She won’t be a writer because it’s risky, she’ll just focus on school and becoming a teacher. She’s never been a child, because her mother had her at sixteen and hasn’t aged a single year since. That’s part of the reason the promise she made to her grandmother means so much to her--if she doesn’t have sex before marriage, her child will never have to grow up as quickly as she did. And Harry Styles is at the top of the world--his music has never been more successful, he has a lovely girlfriend, and he’s never been more in demand. He has everything in the world...except a child, and through a series of unbelievable events--y/n might be his only chance to have one. Ever.
Chapter One Summary: Who knew getting a pap smear on two hours of sleep and three cups of coffee was as bad as having unprotected sex?
There’s something dangerous about taking public transportation in LA. And no, I don’t mean it in the ‘there are bad people in the world’ type of way. I mean it in the ‘I live in one of the casual influencer, celebrity, tourist hubs of the world and each time I step onto the bus I find myself mesmerized by all the stories I see in them’ way. Kind of pathetic, I know, but sometimes a child with blonde pig tails or a woman streaming on instagram live will catch my eye and the urge to pull out my lap top and start something I’ll never finish.
I know that writing isn’t some kind of disease. But I can’t let myself fall in love with it the way I want to. There’s nothing wrong with writing a short story or two, but trying to write a novel? That’s impractical. It will distract me from school, from the four year plan I’m almost done with.
Sighing, I brave taking at my surroundings. I deserve this today, after the anonymous, rude costumer at the hotel today, I need positivity. No one is particularly inspiring. The bus stops and I watch out the window. At first the crowd is ordinary, and then i see them...paparazzi. Flashing cameras from all angles, grown men violating all rules of personal space. It never sits right with me, but I guess it’s just part of living in LA. The bus starts moving again. When it stops again, I see even more paparazzis, but their cameras aren’t flashing. Good for whoever escaped that.
The bus door opens and I snap my attention back to my computer screen. I rub my eyes as I stare at my word document. How is there more that needs to be edited? This professor is the harshest grader I’ve ever had, and my friend, Gisa, is kind for giving me even more notes. But I’m exhausted. Two tests and an essay due before 12:00. And it’s...11:38. Great--I have to upload it the second I’m at my doctor’s office and have WiFi again.
I spend some time highlighting and rewording sentences, and once I’m done I reward myself with more people watching because I deserve it and I can’t fall asleep here. I’m kind of invested in the girl live streaming her bus ride...maybe she’ll say her instagram handle.
But when I look up, she’s not on the bus anymore. Almost no one is. An elderly couple is sitting towards the back. A woman with a toddler sit two rows in front of me...and there’s now a man directly across from me. I blink for a moment, imagining a story for someone who’s face I can’t quite see beneath such dark sun glasses. His dark waves and strong jaw do most of the imagining for me--he deserves a mystery, a dramatic one with a happy ending and just enough romance to keep the people interested. A good romance, too--not too sappy. Enemies to lovers, maybe. A mysterious stranger that’s not really a stranger because something about him is just...familiar.
He turns his head and I drop my gaze immediately. There’s no doubt he caught that, but I still pretend to edit the title of my essay. “You’ve been typing stubbornly since I first got on the bus.” There’s an accent--of course he’s english. But it’s more than that, I’ve heard that voice before. I’ve been...soothed by it. And--oh my god, I’m sitting across from Harry Styles.
Okay, don’t freak out. Don’t freak him out. He’s probably on here to escape the the whole ‘oh my god, you’re Harry Styles!’ thing.
“What are you writing?” Harry Styles just spoke to me. I greeted my one direction poster every single day in middle school, and Harry Styles just spoke to me. Okay--relax, breathe--it’s only weird if you make it weird.
There’s a kind of curt curiosity to his question. He could have been ruder, considering how blatantly I was staring at him. “I um...an essay.” I’m temped to turn the screen so that he can see I’m telling the truth. Though he wasn’t hostile, a part of me is paranoid that he thinks I am writing about him. It’s a fair assumption, for all he knows I’m drafting a tweet about who I saw on the bus this morning or preparing to send something in to some gossip girl-esque blog. “It’s due today at noon and normally I’m way more on top of things, but I had this last minute doctor’s appointment rescheduling because my usual doctor is out of town and--” I cut myself off before I can tell Harry Styles that I’m ovulating and that if I don’t go to my OBGYN now, I have to wait an entire month and I’ve already been off birth control longer than I’d like. I might not have actual sex in my near future, but my cramps have been extra terrible. “An essay, I just finished an essay.”
He nods once. Maybe he feels bad for so thoroughly startling me into such a rambling, because the corner of his mouth tilts upwards. A soft smile adds even more grace to his features, I focus on the dimple that appears in his cheek. “An aggravating essay, I take it, considering the death glares you’ve been giving your laptop screen.”
I smile at his polite humor. “It’s for the harshest grader on campus. She took three points off of my first essay freshman year because I spaced my bibliography wrong.”
He cringes in sympathy. “Good luck.”
“Thanks,” I hum, proud of myself for not letting him know that I know who he is. The bus stops, I can see my doctor’s office behind a few paparazzi. “This is my stop.”
Harry nods once, ducking his head slightly. A tiny part of me feels sympathy for him; from what I’ve gathered, he genuinely loves his fans and the relationship they have, but it must be draining to never have a moment of privacy. Especially when it’s people who care more about selling your picture than your mental health.
I linger on the bus’s step, watching the men with large cameras look around. “Excuse me, are you guys looking for Harry Styles?” Most of the men disregard me, but one looks at me. “I know he’s near here because I’m a really big fan and my friend just texted that she saw him.” This gets me the attention I wanted. “He’s at Northfield--a cafe like three blocks down. I just know that if she got a picture with Harry in like a magazine or something she’d totally lose it--in a good way, and she’s been having a bad time so if you see her can you try to make it happen? Knowing her she’ll be at his side, she’s blonde, shortish hair.”
The men seem skeptical, but I guess they realize that this is the best lead they have. I think the fact that I gave a reason to justify selling Harry out for no reason helped. They disperse together, heading at least three blocks away from Harry. I don’t know if I’ve actually helped him, but I hope I have.
“Essay girl.” I freeze, half cringing. Did he hear that? That’s embarrassing. I consider darting away, but decide that would just make me cringe more. So I turn on my heels. “You...you forgot your phone.”
He just saved my life. “Thank you.” I take my phone from his outstretched hand, ignoring the slight thrill that runs through me when our fingers brush. “You’re my hero--the last thing I needed today was to run all over the city searching for my phone.” I finish the awkward admission with a partial laugh.
“Least I could do,” he mumbles, “especially considering what you just did.”
...He did see that. “Oh um--it was nothing, I just kind of made a connection and assumed the only reason you’d be on a public bus is because you were trying to avoid some things, and you make really great music and a lot of people happy, so you deserve that break.” Why does it feel like I’ve been talking forever? “Anyways, thanks for the whole phone thing, and I hope I got them off your tail.”
My joke seems to somewhat land. His lips part, like he’s planning on saying something else. A timer on my phone interrupts him. I instinctually look down--great, the alarm on my phone warning me that I’m only ten minutes away from being late. “I’m late.” I turn towards the bus’s exit. “I gotta go, but thanks again, and I hope you have a good day.”
I disappear after that, still not sure that that whole thing wasn’t some kind of hallucination. Did I just meet Harry Styles? He...he gave me my phone. Harry Styles has touched my phone. I can’t wait to tell Gisa, she’ll lose it.
I’m still thinking about Harry Styles when I finally reach my OBGYN’s office. When I get there, things are a lot more hectic than I thought they’d be. Many people crowd the waiting area and the receptionist’s desk is clearly understaffed. Two young girls are trying to address multiple upset pregnant women and take phone calls at the same time, all while practically buried in a sea pf paperwork. Wow, I didn’t realize that transferring was such chaos. One of the girls waves me over and barely checks my name before shoving a form towards me. I fill out as quickly as possible.
I upload my essay quickly after checking in. Who knows, maybe Harry Styles’s blessing will get me an A? A third person in scrubs emerges from the back after a moment and ushers me into a room. I tell myself to focus on going over the facts I need for the test I have to take in a little over an hour. Or to focus on the fact that I just met Harry Styles. But instead, I feel my heavy eyelids fall shut.
I don’t know how long I sleep, but I know that I wake up during the middle of a doctor’s sentence, “...I know I’m not your usual, so I just want to make sure you’re comfortable.”
“Hm...Yeah, yeah I’m comfortable.” She nods once, her wide eyes slightly red. “But I do have a class today in like an hour, so I was wondering if this was going to take longer because of the office’s move?”
“Oh, no,” she shakes her head. “Just because Dr. Rodriguez gave us no notice before deciding that she no longer wanted to work here...or in the country. Or even live in the US, despite the fact that we just signed a lease on a place together...” Tears well in the stranger’s eyes, pity settles in my stomach.
“That sounds incredibly complicated, I didn’t mean to rush you.”
She blinks twice, her expression blanking as she fights against the pain of what’s clearly a terrible break up. “No, no--you have every right. Today is your day and if..honestly, if you’re strong enough to go to a class after this, and do what you’re about to do by yourself, then I’m strong enough to get through today.”
Um...didn’t realize a pap smear counted as something that needs moral support, but I’ll chalk it up to her heightened emotions. “Thanks.”
She snaps on her medical gloves. “No, thank you for your patience. Now lay down.”
I do as told, preparing for a sensation I haven’t often experienced. A moment passes and I know she’s started. She’s moving away from me much faster than expected. Oh--I guess pap smears are a lot shorter than I expected.
“That’s it?”
“Yep,” she hums, pulling her gloves off. “Now just take it easy, and hydrate.”
Weird...but that’s like general doctor advice. “Thanks!”
--
I’ve never wanted to keep a secret from Gisa, but sometimes I really regret telling her I met Harry Styles. It’s been almost a month and I find my mind wandering back to the moment in which our fingers brushed more than I should. Sometimes I let myself wonder what he might have said if my phone hadn’t rang. I was probably just imagining the way his lips parted, but my ind refuses to let it go.
“...You know it’s kind of sad, I read an interview in which he spoke about the fact that he has some genetic condition that makes it hard to have kids. He has so many godchildren, and I feel like he’d make such a great father.”
I try to keep up with Gisa’s words, but the dull ache in my head makes it feel so far away. “Yeah...he seemed really patient.”
Gisa nods, turning to face me. “You alright, you’re looking kinda green?”
“Yeah...” I reach for my canvas bag. “I think I just...I probably just need some water.”
My hand grazes the metal of my water bottle and then the corners of my vision blur into blackness. I sway, Gisa’s hand is on my shoulder...and then it all goes black.
--
I sit uncomfortably on the hospital’s cot. Gisa is a traitor for telling my mom that I fainted. I knew she’d just drag me here--hispanic mothers, they either believe they can cure you with vic’s vapor rub or they want you in the ER. No in between.
“I know you didn’t want another test, but you’ve been throwing up in the morning for days and now you’re fainting.”
“Fainted,” I correct, “it happened once.”
“C’mon, mija, it’s just one doctor’s appointment.”
Speaking of, an ER nurse returns. “Fainting and nausea spells explained,” he says, glancing at his clipboard, “you’re pregnant.”
My mom and I can’t help but exchange a look before bursting into laughter. Pregnant. If I’m pregnant then the second coming is here. “That’s impossible, I’m a virgin.”
He glances at my mom, “maybe we should have this conversation in private.”
“No, what you say in front of me you can say in front of my mom.”
My mom raises an eyebrow. “Y/n, did you and that guy from your english class--”
“No! No, we did not. I am a virgin and there’s no way I’m pregnant.” I glare at the nurse.
He then ushers me to a bathroom so that I can provide a urine sample. After I’m finished, he shows me a pregnancy test strip. “Pink means pregnant.” I bite my tongue as he tests the strip in my sample. He pulls it out and it’s...it’s bright pink.
“I’m calling my doctor, because this has to be a mistake. It has to be like a hormonal thing.”
“Exactly, pregnancy hormones.”
I glare even harder, calling the doctor that I saw last week. “Hello, Dr. Ash? I was wondering if I could get a consultation because I’m in the ER and some crazy doctor is trying to tell me I’m pregnant.”
Silence on the line for a long second. “...I actually cleared my calendar for you.”

“Hey Y/N.”
You look up from your medical textbook to find your aunt standing there with an expensive freshly pressed suit on her hand wrapped in plastic, you had been living with her along with her two younger kids in Tokyo after your parents decided to become humanitarian doctors. Wanting to explore and get out of your comfort zone, you ended up living in the big city along with your mother’s closest friend.
“Oh, hey obaasan.” you greeted, “What’s up?”
“Ah, you see, Shoyo is out now and no one will be able to deliver the suit to Sakusa-san, would you mind doing me a favor and delivering it for me?”
You shut your textbook and stood up from your chair, “Sure, uh- could I have his address?” you ask as you took the suit in plastic carefully from her hands, not wanting to damage something that cost as expensive as your tuition in med school. After saying goodbye to your aunt and carefully placing the suit at the back of your car, you drove your way to the upstate part of the city.
Your second hand car stood out like a sore thumb in the lane of expensive and flashy cars, you wanted to waltz in and out of here quickly. Following your aunt’s instruction’s, you march up to the front desk to hand the suit over to the receptionist, “I’m here to drop the laundry for Sakusa-sa-”
Before you could even finish your sentence, she snatched it away from your grasp. You narrow your eyes at her rather uncouth attitude, “Oh, cool...thanks…” you murmur, not wanting to cause a scene or pick a fight with the rude woman, you made a b-line towards the exit. Away from the judging and prying eyes of the people who were very much above you in terms of class and wealth.
The moment you step out though, you watch in horror as your car is being towed away, “Hey!” you exclaimed, hurriedly going to the worker who was writing something down on his clipboard, “Hey, wait! Please, excuse me?”
The worker turned to you with a questioning gaze as you immediately started to explain that you were in and out of the place and that you were just delivering some laundry but all you got was a shake in the head and the words, “It’s not up to me, that guy called us in.” He points his ballpen towards the man in a suit and paired with a surgical white mask on the phone, “...The parking here is for residents only and clearly you’re not one of them.”
Your eyes almost widened at his explanation, just what was wrong with people who lived here?
You fumingly grab the piece of paper he hands to you and stuff it in your pocket as you march up to the stranger on the phone, “Hey, excuse me!” you proclaimed, there were a few on-lookers but you ignored them, you were seeing red with the treatment you’ve been receiving here. The raven-haired stranger ignores you, still on his phone so you call him out again and when you do, the darkest pair of obsidian eyes are on you.
You clenched your fists tightly as the quote ‘eat the rich’ comes into your head.
“There must be some mistake.” You began slowly, trying to put your anger at bay because you didn’t want the whole thing to escalate in public, “I’m in and out here, all i did was deliver and I didn't know-”
“Your ignorance doesn’t excuse you.”
“Excuse me?”
“Ignorance of the law excuses no one.” He simply states, “Also the car was on the way in my space and not even a parking spot.”
You let out a loud, sardonic laugh, “I’d be gone in two minutes if you waited.”
“You would’ve wasted my two minutes.”
You clenched your fist tightly and as you were about to bite back on his snide remark, the receptionist from before intervenes, “Excuse me, he’s right. You aren’t allowed to park here.” she tries to look professional but you know she’s just siding with this idiot since he had the money.
“Right.” you nod, “You know what, fuck it, this blows. All I did was my job and I have to be shitted on because I don’t have money like Mr.fancy-pants over here.” You bellowed, your glare was intense as you turned around, stomping away before you would do anything you’d regret.
The stranger’s eyes towards you do not waver though, how interesting, he thought.
You never wanted to return to that place again, not only did you lose a lot of money to pay your toll fee for your car but you needed to buy a bunch of new books for the new semester. You groan out loud as you also realize that you needed to do a grocery run since all you had were empty packets of instant Ramen and water in your apartment.
Chunking the cue cards to the side, you made your way to the convenience store, the city was definitely alive tonight and amidst that, you look absolutely dead tired. Your eye bags were getting thicker, a few zits had popped out, and you had grown thin in an unhealthy way because of your food consumption.
Man, being in med school and being dumb wasn’t a very good combination.
Your thoughts are interrupted when your aunt calls you again and says you have to do deliveries tonight, “You remember Sakusa-san?” your aunt says on the other line.
You couldn’t help but grimace at the mention of the man and the memories of where he lived.
Man, did this Sakusa-san needed new neighbors.
“What does he need a suit for in this unholy hour?” You mentally groaned.
“He needs it for laundry, you can have the money when you pick it up.”
Your ears immediately perk up at the mention of cash, you decided to take public transportation since you didn’t want to risk getting your car toll away by that Sakusa guy’s wretched fancy-pants neighbor. Grocery shopping could wait another time, “Stupid rich people.” You muttered under your breath as you pushed open the entrance to find the same man who you despised, sitting there with a laundry basket next to him.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” You mumbled, sucking in a deep breath, you say, “Sakusa-san?”
So I was right.” he says, pulling down his mask to reveal his sharp features, “You were the one who delivered my suit that day. It’s usually a young boy with a bike.”
Boy, this man was definitely at his prime, he was probably a good few years older than you and you bet he had the ladies swinging left and right with that face. Too bad he had a shitty attitude though.
“Well, that doesn’t give you an excuse to tow my car away.” you deadpan.
“How much do I owe you for the unfortunate accident then?” his tone was rich and low but you detected no remorse in it, it was as if waving huge chunks of money would help tremendously. The asshole couldn’t even properly say sorry to you because of the hard time you had to go through that time.
“None,” you scoffed, “Just hand me your laundry and pay the fee, we’ll call it even.”
The raven-haired man tilts his head and carefully hands you the laundry bag along with a wad of cash, your eyes immediately widen out of character, “Woah, wait-”
“For the troubles.” He simply replies, “Goodnight.”
You later found out that his full name was Sakusa Kiyoomi and not only was he rich, he was filthy rich. The man used to be a big volleyball player back or something when he was in high school and college but instead of becoming a pro player, he had inherited the family business.
“Huh, so he was a capitalist.” You stare at his picture at the morning paper which was coincidentally an article about him. You decided to forget about it, expecting to not see him after that night since Hinata had no classes or practices these upcoming weeks yet weirdly enough, he started to ask for you to pick up his laundry instead.
So you both fell into a strange routine, you’d pick up his laundry and return it the next day. He was also there to pick up his things and you no longer needed to talk to the rude receptionist. You were suspicious of him yet you decided to just overlook it, he gave good tips and he wasn’t as rude as the first time you met him, in fact, he made small conversations now and you sort of got to know the man.
You had a weird dynamic but strangely enough, it worked.
“L/N-san.”
“Good evening,” You greeted per usual, holding out your hand yet his eyes squinted at the bandage on your hand.
“What happened.” the raven-haired man asked, his gaze zeroing on the wound that you got in one of your classes.
“I’m a med student...I cut myself instead of the cadaver in class.” you shrug nonchalantly as you wiggle your fingers, “It’s alright though, I’m not going to stain your suit that you keep putting back to the laundry for some odd reason.”
“You got hurt.”
“Happens to the best of us.”
Sakusa mutters something incoherent under his breath before saying, “I’ll take you to your car.”
“Woah there-”
The man ignores you as he walks ahead of you, this was certainly getting out of character, even for him who always asked for you, “Open it.” He orders as he points to the car door, you begrudgingly obliged and did as he said. He places the laundry inside and turns to you to give you his usual pay, “Take care of yourself next time, L/N-san.”
The very next day, your aunt hands you an expensive package of ointments on your doorstep. Your brows are furrowed together in confusion as she says that they’re from the millionaire himself. You pointedly look at the package in front of you, completely lost as to why someone like him would send something like this to the person who he wasn’t exactly close with.
“Y/N-saaaaan…” Hinata drowns, you snap your gaze from your notes to the young orange-haired boy, “I’ve got news!”
You had stopped working for your aunt since you found a job at your university’s library, not only were the hours more lax but they even minus some of the tuition as long as you worked there. It was definitely a win-win situation for you.
“What’s up, orange?” You asked.
“Remember Sakusa-san?”
You hum a reply, “What about him?”
“I think he likes you.”
You almost choke on your saliva when you heard that, this little brat, why you ought to-
“He looked really disappointed when I said that you didn’t work for us anymore.” Hinata explains, cutting your thoughts short,
“Right.” You drawl, shaking your head, “Maybe you were just hard to look at, that’s why.”
“Hey!” He clenched his fists together and pouted at your tone, “I don’t even know why he likes you!”
You feel a vein pop in his forehead as you hear his insult,  you proceeded to chunk a pillow to his direction in which he successfully dodged, “Get your facts straight and I assure you, he doesn’t like me.” you grumbled, returning to your books.
Ultimately, you thought that you’d never see Sakusa Kiyoomi ever again. It was fairly obvious that outside your job, someone of high caliber as him was someone you’d never see again yet you're immediately thrown off guard when you find him standing there around your campus.
Your eyes widen in surprise, well what do you know? it was the devil himself.
“Sakusa-san.”
“L/N-san.”
Man, you may not have seen him for a month or two but despite wearing the mask, you could tell that  e still sported the same blank and basic bitch face behind it. Hinata was wrong in all ways, this guy wouldn’t like you, he’d probably deem you too low class for him, “What a surprise, it’s been a while.” You stiffly bowed down.
“You’re acting weird.”
You raise your gaze to meet his and you could see the glint of amusement in his eyes.
“You’re most likely a guest in the university.” You mumbled, scratching your head, “People might come at me if I treated you as casually as before.”
Sakusa raises his brow, “That’s funny coming from someone who was this close to punching me during our first meeting.”
“You were being a dick that time.”
“How you have guts to say that to my face amazes me every time.”
“Oh yeah?” You chortled, amused by his statement, “I’m starting to think you’ve taken a liking on me.”
“Was it not obvious when I kept asking for you from Hinata-san?”
You immediately choke on the coffee you were sipping, burning your tongue in the process, “Okay what the hell, sakusa-san-” you said in between coughs.
Your freeze up when you look at him dead in the eye, his eyes crinkling, was he smiling behind the mask? No way, the Sakusa Kiyoomi was smiling at you? He pulls down his mask and bends down, making you retract your steps and your cheeks flush to a brightly red color, “You’re turning red.” he points out loud and that makes you turn even redder.
“You’re acting weird.”
“You were getting dense.”
“How was I supposed to know...to know that…” You try to stutter out, completely embarrassed.
“To know what?”
“You know what.” You grumbled, standing up a bit straighter and ignoring his teasing tone, “I’m not interested in you.”
“Your red cheeks say otherwise.”
“It’s the cold weather.” You harshly replied, looking away again, trying to avoid his gaze, “I’m not interested in a boyfriend, a flirting partner, or whatever that is. So good day!”
You immediately stomp away, leaving Sakusa Kiyoomi with an amused smirk. How entertaining and adorable, you looked like a bunny. His cute bunny.
A few days had passed from that little interaction and you wanted to hurl yourself out the window whenever you thought about it. Sakusa Kiyoomi? The filthy rich capitalist Sakusa Kiyoomi? Interested in you? What kind of k-drama was this?
You tried to avoid going out much in the campus, Apparently he was around after he donated half a million to the medicine department.
You immediately groaned out loud at the thought, there was in no way that all this was possible!
“L/N-san.”
You immediately jump on the spot and drop your keys, “Holy fucking-” You pause, biting back your tongue, there he stood sporting a casual attire instead of a business suit and his usual face mask,  “Sakusa-san?”
“Kiyoomi.” He smoothly corrects.
“Nice. Very nice.” You dryly replied, “Heard you donated half a million and some new equipment to our department. Sweet.”
“You don’t look that happy.”
“I mean you basically confessed that you were interested then decided to donate to my department only.” You narrow your eyes suspiciously, “You remind me of a sugar daddy.”
“Well,” He shrugged, “You didn’t exactly deny that you wanted one.”
Your brain immediately short-circuits as you try to stutter out a reply, Sakusa looked like he’d been having a field day. Gone was the fiery girl he met a few months ago, he really knew what to say to reduce you to a stuttering mess.
“I’m kidding, L/N-san.” he deadpanned when he realized that you weren’t giving him a straight answer since your mind was jumbled up, “It was purely coincidental, we’ve been eyeing certain medicine departments and yours was performing top-notch. It doesn’t mean that I’m any less interested in taking you out.”
“You do know I’m poor right…” You sweatdrop, “I could easily take advantage of you-”
“One date, L/N-san…” he says, ignoring your very weak argument, “Just one then I’ll let you go.”
You don’t know why but you ended up saying yes that day.
You didn’t know what to expect on your first date and you had your fingers cross the whole time that he wouldn’t take you to an expensive michelin star restaurant since you didn’t have the clothes for the place.
Thankfully, the date was more casual than you expected, it was in his home and he had  cooked the meal himself.
“You’re looking oddly relieved.”
“I can’t function well in expensive restaurants.” You sweatdrop, covering your awkwardness with a laugh. You’ve never gone on dates before, the idea of being intimate with someone had made you feel awkward and bothered.
“I’m not a big fan of public areas so I assure you we're not going on those anytime soon.”
“Well aren’t you getting confident.” You raise a brow, teasing him a bit as you start to pick on the beef with your chopsticks.
“Call it a gut feeling, L/N-san.”
“Y/N.”
“What?”
“You asked me to call you Kiyoomi and well,” you turn red once again, “Well it would be awkward if you were all formal with me.”
You saw the small twinkle in his eyes, “Y/N.” your name rolls out of his tongue smoothly and you feel your heart hammering on your chest, “I like that, Y/N…”
It was in that little moment that you realized that you liked it when he called your name.
The dinner went by without a hitch, Sakusa Kiyoomi was not the same arrogant man that the media portrayed him to be. He was quiet, understanding, and soft. Completely the opposite of the first day you met him. He urged you to talk more about yourself, saying how boring and open his life was since the media tailed him a lot.
“Why Tokyo?”
“Why not?” You shrug, swishing the wine before taking a small sip, “It’s a great place, it’s new, and I had someone I knew here. My mom and Obaasan were good friends so I was allowed to move here on my own.”
“Are you coming back to your country if you’re done with your studies?”
You were silent for a moment, “I don’t think so. I wanna be like my parents.”
“A humanitarian doctor, huh?”
“Yeah.” You smile, “A humanitarian doctor. How about you? What’s your story?”
“Nothing interesting.” He glazed, “I’m an open book, Y/N.”
“Open book?” You tilt your head to the side, “You’re usually painted as an asshole by the media…”
“But you don’t believe it.”
“You kinda were when we first met.”
For the first time, you hear his soft chuckle and your heart starts beating fast. You liked that sound, you wanted to hear something like that again, “You always know how to amuse me, Y/N.” he shakes his head, “And for the record, just because I’m not comfortable with touches, public places and whatnot does not make me an asshole...I just am a very private person with interests…”
“What’s your interest now?”
“You.” He replied nonchalantly, making you look away..
“Stop.”
“What?”
“Stop doing that.”
“Doing what?”
“Flirting with me with a straight face like you mean it!” You choke out, turning red.
“Because I do mean it, Y/N.” He shrugs. “I am interested in you.”
It seemed like that little date you had turned out more successful than you thought, one date led to another and another. This went on for a few months until he asked you to be his partner one night at a very random place, you usually pictured Sakusa Kiyoomi to be the smooth type     you were, after all, always the stuttering mess between you two     but when he asks you to be his officially, outside the public restroom of all places with his ear tips turning red, your reduced to a heaping pile of giggles.
With men like him, you didn’t exactly expect anything more than the dates.
You should’ve known better that he was too good to be true.

Tumblr media
He didn’t know if it were the cuts, scrapes, burns, gashes and the deep dark bruises that covered your body, that shook him to the core. Or if it were the ventilator that was placed in your throat that made him boil and shake in his seat in anger.
His lips pressed into a thin line, rubbing the tears that spilled over his cheeks away every few minutes. His uncontrollable sobs that shook his body, and the constant whispers of encouragement he’d give to you through his choked sobs.
“Come on kid, just fight it.”
He held onto your hand, rubbing over the bruise on your wrist lightly, waiting for you to wake up. His teary eyes wondered all over your beaten body and landed on your neck. A large imprint of a hand was bruised, painting the area in black and blue, the cuts all over your face only made him want to go out and find whoever did this to you.
You had been gone on a mission for only a couple of weeks, saying, “Stop worrying, I’ll come back home like normal and you’re gonna see how silly you were.” You’d teased, sticking out your tongue at him and kissing him goodbye. He knew the work you two did was dangerous, sometimes one of you would come in the early hours of the morning with bruises and cuts that weren’t there the other night. And sometimes it’d be burn marks and for him shorter wings. But he never knew it’d be like this, to the point you were in a hospital room fighting for your life after a mission that went horribly wrong. Nobody had word of the incident, and the Hero Commission would make sure of that till you were fully healed.
It only made Keigo angrier. The fact that they only thought of your return, and jumping right back into hero work.. Not giving a damn if you were just holding on by just a thread. Life was different now. It had been now, two weeks since you were admitted into the hospital. Keigo would only leave your side to shower and come back, dismissing all his hero work and leaving it to his sidekicks; instructing them to only call him if it’s absolutely necessary.
He’d only hope that he wouldn’t have to leave. Your state had only seemed to worsen, it was later when a doctor had come in to discuss an important and life changing conversation with Keigo.
There was one word that rung continuously in his brain, one word that made him sit down.
   “Quirkless.”
   ***
   You wished you were dead.
You wished your body would’ve given out and that you would’ve died. Not wake up in a lifeless hospital, with guilt rushing over your body. Staring lifelessly at the blank ceiling, you woke up after another week of being admitted into the hospital. You didn’t cry, you didn’t mutter not even a single word.
   Your voice wouldn’t let you.
It was hoarse and raw, your body ached and throbbed and yet you still didn’t cry. You couldn’t, they’d dwell but wouldn’t fall
You didn’t even acknowledge your longtime boyfriend Keigo; sitting there.
‘What kinda hero am I if I couldn’t even save those people?’
The screaming and yelling, the sound of innocent children being slaughtered. It was your fault, you couldn’t save them.
And now it appears you can’t ever save people.
When the doctor informed you about no longer having your quirks you remained lifeless, laying your body right back down and turning to face the wall.
   “Leave.” You mumbled.
“Babe, you need to listen he’s-“
You gripped at your pillow even tighter, “Tell him to get the fuck out! Or I’ll tell you too next!” You shouted into the pillow, not looking at his hurt expression. He looked towards the Doctor, with an apologetic look. And returned back to sitting next to you, watching you. It was the first time you expressed something, it was cruel.
Innocent people died and now you’re quirkless? You don’t even know how, it was all so fast. So was it a sick game, to be forever punished. But you guess you deserved it, karma after all.
You haven’t spoken a single word to Keigo, not wanting to face him as the ‘Pro hero who couldn’t do her job.’ It was shameful. Embarrassing to even be linked with him. He was perfect, like an angel. And you were just like the rest of the hero’s who burnt up too fast.
***
You were discharged a week after, with an assortment of prescriptions and medications. Even creams for the deep scars on your body.
Keigo insisted the first thing you should do was take a bath when you got home, he was helpful. Making sure you were all set to go and even brought you clothes for when you were finally discharged, your attitude towards him remained the same:
   Cold and quiet.
It was like radio silence between you two, with slight static from his end as he’d try to reach with with kind eyes and soft kisses. But like a painting, you remain the same.
When you two got home he quickly helped you inside by grabbing your bicep. And closing the door behind you with a small kick, “Let’s get you out of these clothes.” He says softly, but you wave him off.
“I can do it myself, I’ll take a shower tomorrow.” You argued back, but his grip only got stronger. He arches a brow, you instantly decided to let him help you this once. You nod, and make your way to the bedroom. He grabs you a pair of panties, and a nightgown.
Seeing at it was a more comfortable option, and would make it helpful to change your bandages without having to strip you.
He later sat you on the toilet and ran the hot water of the bath, making sure to add your favorite scented bubble bath soap. You smiled weakly, for the first time at him.
He kneels down in front of you, and pulls your shirt off and pants, his glorious wings touch the tile floor beneath him. He strips the rest of your clothing off and helps you in the bath, washing your body off with its hot water.
He leans down to kiss your forehead, “You okay?” He asks, pouring water over your hair and scrubbing it gently with his fingertips unto your scalp with the shampoo. You don’t answer, but instead grab a handful of bubbles in your hands. Blowing them away, he pours more water over your head; and scrubs your back.
The cuts and gashes burned in the water, but the sensation gave a small calming effect, it was something you could finally feel.
Keigo is mindful of the wounds and only goes over them gently, cleaning off the area like instructed; earning a small hiss from you as you lean forwards in pain.
“I know it hurts kid, but you're gonna have to endure for just a little while longer.”
He continued to clean you off, and suddenly you felt a wave of emotions.
Here it is, the after shock had finally dissipated and here it was, your emotions. “Keigo..” you finally say his name after so long, he stops, “Yes Angel?”
   “A-Are they really gone?”
He didn’t know if you were asking about the people or your quirks, but one thing is certain, it was still the same answer. He nodded.
   “Yes.” He simply says.
A tear escapes your eye, and then another, till eventually you’re full out bawling in the bathroom tub.
Keigo is smart enough to know that anything he says, or does can not bring you back what was lost. And it killed him, so all he did was simply hold you, your wet hand gripping onto his forearm and sobbed. He knew nothing he could say would help you, so he did the next best thing:
He sat down, and took it. He remained quiet, and did not bring up the situation any longer: even going as far as to shield you away from hero related stuff, and would only take missions at night. Even making sure the TV was never on the news channel.
He’d help you out of the bath and would help put back your clothes on, you cleared your throat when you noticed his eyes wandering on the wound near your gut for too long. You hated how he looked at you like some sort of sick child, you hated the way he’d constantly treat you like a porcelain teacup. He aided with your bandages and helped you towards the bed; still not uttering a single word to each other.
He just wrapped you in the warm sheets and left you with a blanket that smelled like him, remembering the silly arguments you’d two would get in when he cleaned the old thing.
Arguing, “Now you have to sleep with it cause it doesn’t smell like you anymore.” But of course he’d smile back at you and oblige to the order.
Now it has just provided you the small comfort of better times, he tucked you in and handed you the remote. He leans down, wiping the last of your tears with his calloused thumbs and glancing at you with a sad smile.
“I’ll be in the kitchen making dinner, I’ll be up in a few.” He said weakly, before standing up and heading towards the door. But you reached out for his hand, catching it at the last second. The movement made you wince, but you needed to say it.
   “I love you, Keigo.”
He deserved to hear it, he needed to hear it after weeks of radio silence.
   “I love you too, songbird.”
***
The relationship wasn’t always the healthiest, before losing your quirks the two of you would never raise your voices at one another, and swore to never lay a hand on one another. You two swore at the beginning of the relationship, that if you guys had a problem or if something was bothersome then you’d speak out about it.
But of course, even after being together for three years and seeing each other rise to be the hero’s you were today; the two of you found different sides of one another; sides neither of you knew existed. You never realized how scary and intimidating Hawks could be; you never realized how his eyes could darken and narrow as if a real Hawk would watch its prey. A warning sign as he glared at you from across the room.
And he never realized how cruel you could be, just how your words could cut so deep. People say behind angry voices, lies a little bit of truth behind it. Even when you said you didn’t mean it; he also never realized how quick you were to anger.
Not even a week after you left the hospital, the relationship felt like the two of you were walking on eggshells. Yelling at one another, as you poured the pills down the sink. He grabbed your bruised hand roughly, and turned off the faucet.
It was early in the morning, too early for him to even fight, he thought.
“What the fuck are you doing?” He looks at you sternly, and then at the empty pill bottles you had successfully drained.
You remained quiet, too weak and tired. Lately all you felt was anger, you barely left the bedroom the both of you shared and you’d push away Keigo when he attempted to feed you. Turning your body around to not face him, “I’m not hungry.” You mumbled.
You return back to reality, his sigh of disappointment bringing you back.
“You can’t keep doing this! This I won’t allow, just talk to me? What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours. You won’t talk to me, unless we’re arguing, you won’t eat, you won’t let me touch you. You have to talk to me, I can’t keep playing this game where you ignore your feelings and emotions and just push me to the side. I’m trying to help you-”
You interrupt him with a laugh, his soft eyes turn dark, he hated when you mocked him.
“That’s the problem Keigo. You’re helping is just a reminder of how fucking useless I am. You treat me like I’m glass, I know you do your hero work at night. You don’t have to hide it away from me. We get it, poor little Y/N, right? I never asked for your help.”
His grip on your wrist tightens; he looks down before glancing back up at you.
His gaze on your E/C eyes hardens, “Fine.”
***
He left you for the rest of the day, cooling off from the argument and leaving you too cool off as well. It was the first time he has left in the daylight since you were discharged. You only sat in the living room, wrapped in your blanket watching TV. Segments of heroes speeches came on, and all you could do was stare aimlessly at the silver screen.
The announcement was made public that you won’t be able to come back to the hero scene, explaining all the details of the incident.
The Commission already had you booked with interviews with the press. But how could talk to them when all they’ll do is remind you of your failures as a hero.
Like they didn’t care that you were grieving, that you weren’t the same anymore and here you are being forced to fake a smile and laugh it off as if this job meant nothing to you. Years of training to be perfect, the people you’ve saved, the people you had to kill, the families you reunited; it suddenly meant nothing.
‘I have no reason to be here anymore.’
What was the point of living if you weren’t the same anymore, you have nothing to lose.
***
Keigo came back in the dead of night, his lips pressed into a fine line as he wiped the look of tiredness off his face, he noticed your body laying out on the couch, your hair draped over the pillows; he crouches down in front of you. Noticing an even darker bruise on your wrist, he cringed at the memory of his tight grasp.
He never meant to hurt you.
He came back with the pills you threw away, he realized without your painkillers and antibiotics that your healing process would be even more grueling. And he refused to watch. No matter how much you spit, hit, and cry; you have to take it.
***
   He had finally had enough.
Another two weeks passed and here you guys were, again, fighting in the kitchen. His voice rising even louder than yours, and his eyes narrow in warning. Your eyes water, and your voice trembles.
“Just talk to me! Please!” He begs, he pleads.
You stare at him blankly, and try to feel something. But there’s nothing, there’s no feeling anywhere in your body. You pull at the sleeve of your sweatshirt.
   “I-I can’t.”
He tilts his head in confusion, “I don’t know how..”
***
“After running multiple tests and asking Y/N Y/L/N an assortment of questions, it appears that you,” The doctor in the room turns to look at your blank face, she looks at you apologetically, “Are showing signs of depression. Now there are treatments, and I’ll prescribe you some medication to help aid her during the healing process. But I do suggest therapy, and just talking more. Surround yourself with positivity.”
Keigo nods and thanks the doctor before she leaves the two of you alone to discuss the options.
He stares at the variety of pamphlets stacked in his hand, sorting through them. “We’re gonna fix this, bird. You just gotta help me help you.” He glances at you hoping for a reaction, but you shrug. “A new pill to add to the loads that I already take.” You say sarcastically, shrugging your shoulders, “Yay me.”
***
The relationship had its ups and down, there were times when you’d let Keigo help you, you’d also apologize for treating him poorly, But he’d just brush you off with a kiss and a simple sentence, “I’m here till the end, angel.”
The little blue pill had seemed to help.
For the first month, that is.
But slowly, oh so painfully slowly, you went back to your old post-accident bitchy no emotion self. Keigo would drop you off at therapy and pick you up to drop you off back home.
But like all good things come to an end, the somewhat normal life you were finally starting to settle into shattered, you were made to go to interviews and you’d come home crying. You were completely gone and empty. You and Kiego stopped having sex (though the last time was the night before you left for your mission), that bothered him the most. Not you not wanting him, it was your urge to be as far away from him as possible, not letting him even touch you.
   It hurt the Pro Hero.
Seeing as you no longer wished to even look at him; the love he had held onto slowly dissipated as time went on; like two ghosts living in an apartment full of memories.
***
You looked at yourself in the bathroom mirror, noticing all the deep cuts that once scattered your skin were finally all healing, turning into light scars and the bruises were finally gone. It was as if it never happened, you sigh and turn on the shower. Setting it to the hottest setting.
Keigo was out at work again, and you still haven’t talked to him. It ate away inside of you, it felt like you no longer had control of your body and it’s emotions.
‘Was it the pills?’ You thought, the doctor informed you of the possible side effects and this was definitely one of them. But you couldn’t just stop taking them, the last time you tried to throw them away it ended bad.
You entered the shower and allowed the hot water to fall off your shoulders.
There was something you were depriving him of.
And you knew what it was.
You haven’t touched him. You haven’t talked to him.
The words I love you, haven’t left your mouth in such a long time it felt like you were forcing yourself to feel something that you couldn’t feel.
He stopped trying after a while longer, and would leave before you could wake up and came home when you were asleep. It was now a routine that he had grown accustomed to.
You wash your body with the raging thought that rushed to your brain, ‘maybe if I try.. tonight. I can’t get some sort of feeling.’ You forced.
You rinse off the soap and dry yourself with your towel. Changing into a nightgown and making your way to your bedroom.
You waited for Keigo to come back home.
***
You could hear the shower head turn on and the door close shut behind him. Only briefly seeing his winged silhouette in the dark, you turned to face the door that connected your room to the bathroom. You say up and wait for him to come out, Keigo never took long showers, unless the two of you were showering together.
   Which hasn’t happened in awhile.
He came out after a ten minute shower, in loose sweat pants and white tank. His wings falling behind him, dragging against the tile.
He stood at the doorway when he noticed your eyes on him. He cleared his throat and refused to share eye contact with you. He couldn’t look at the shell of the woman he had so desperately fallen in love for, he could feel his heartbeat rattle against his chest.
“Why are you up kid. It’s late.” He finally said, glancing up towards you.
Your body is numbed by his glance, but you ignore it. It was worth a try, you had to see if what you had was still there or if it was long gone by now.
He cocks his head to the right and relaxes his gaze, “What's wrong?”
You remain quiet and only look at him. You point a finger at him, and curl it towards your direction.
“C-Can you come here, please.” You whisper, he nods and slowly walks towards you, his strides are smaller than usual. His look is cautious, when he gets to the edge of the bed you get on your knees and scoot towards him. Wrapping your arms around his neck, and gazing into his eyes. You feel his hands slowly make their way to your hips, giving them a gentle squeeze.
He looks down at the sheets, and then back at you.
“What do you need?” He asks. Eyes almost asking permission to touch you, you push aside the feeling of disgust with yourself.
   “You.”
***
Your leg hooked onto his waist loosely as he pumped in and out of you, what you feared was real. It wasn’t the same anymore, it felt like nothing.
The love behind it didn’t even feel like it existed. It just felt like you were having sex to get it over with it.
He groans into your shoulder. Shuddering on top of you, his forearms barricade your sides. Your arm hooks over his back, with each stroke you scrunch your nose staring blanking at the ceiling over you.
   “Ouch.” You say quietly.
   It hurt more than usual.
You yanked hard on his feathers, causing him to duck his head into your shoulder, “Don’t do that.” He warned.
His pace increased and all you let out were small groans, still yanking at his feathers, your head up in the cloud, ignoring the annoying thoughts that floated in your head.
His thrusts abruptly stop, “What the fuck are you doing?” He asks.
You ignore his question, and let out another groan. Pulling again at his wings, “Okay! Stop, what the fuck are you exactly doing? You don’t wanna have sex?”
You stare blankly at him, and pull him closer with your legs. “S-Stop! No I’m not gonna do this! I’m not gonna do this when you clearly don’t want too.”
Again, you ignore him and try again, this couldn’t be happening. Did you really stop loving Keigo to the point your body was physically rejecting him, refusing to be aroused at the mere simplistic action that had before had you screaming out his name so loud the neighbors could it.
You raise your hips before being met with a stern gaze and hands now pinning you to the bed.
“Y/N stop!” He yelled, “What do you want me to do? Rape you? I’m not doing this. No, I wanna make love to you, what the fuck is wrong with you?”
   Everything.
Your body finally allows you to look at his dark golden eyes, he was angry. And rightfully so, your body just finished telling him you didn’t love him anymore. And here you were trying to act like it wasn’t a big deal when it was.
You hit him first, your hands slam against his bare chest. “Fuck you.” You spat.
“Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you! Why can’t you ever just do something without having to ask so many damn questions huh! I don’t know what’s wrong with me! I was trying to see if I still loved you!” You yelled, he slams your body into the mattress, “So you decided the best idea was to see if I could still fuck you right? Huh? You wanted me to use you even though you’re clearly in pain! Is that how you like it? When I hurt you!” He yelled, his grip on your wrist loosening and letting you go. His feathers bring you back your underwear and nightgown from the floor as his other feather brings back his clothing.
After he quickly puts back his clothes on he turns to face you, “Honestly Y/N, the last thing I’d ever wanna do to you is hurt you. In any way shape or form, I understand you are still grieving but now you’re just being cruel. You want me to be the bad guy so bad don’t you? Fine, your wish is my command.” He glares, picking up the rest of his stuff and leaving for the night.
***
You stopped referring Keigo to his name and started referring to him as Hawks.
Just like he stopped acknowledging your existence at all, you followed in suit. He decided that the two of you should have space; for the sake of your relationship you agreed. Though, it would’ve been easier just to break up.
But you knew it had to be done, your body physically was rejecting Hawks. Your mind was now thinking for its own and you had no control, all the memories somehow mysterious meant nothing to you.
Now all the times the two of you would share a rare shower, have living room dance parties, eat dinner together on the balcony. The talks of the two of you possibly even starting a family before seemingly slipped your mind and the ring he fingered in his pocket still sat in a velvet box hidden from view.
It was all crashing down. It’s been barely four months and now you lost your quirk, your relationship was in shambles, the pills you took seemingly increased the more you talked to your therapist, and now you sat in the living room looking for apartments across the city and far away from him.
Eventually you found a match, it was the perfect size so you decided to place a down payment on it and move as soon as possible. He came back to the apartment before you moved out, he avoided you, but sometimes you’d catch the sense of his eyes wandering over you.
You packed your bags, folded your clothes, and took everything that was yours.
“Look, I just think, if we weren’t in the same place and took time for ourselves we could.. be better.” You said, scratching the back of your neck sheepishly as he eyed you down as if you were prey from the end of the hall. He crosses his arms over his chest, “Do you still love me?” He asked curtly. It was a simple yes or no question, he needed to know, the timer was running out.
You wanted to simply say no, not anymore. Because then that would be the truth, but your body wouldn’t let you say it. You look at the coffee table, and see a picture frame of the two of you, “I-I don’t know Hawks.” Your grip tightens on your suitcases handle.
“Do you still love me?” You ask. Gripping your suitcase even tighter.   “I don’t know, either.” He sighs, a sad smile paints his face. His eyes water as he looks down to the tile floor, his hands deep into the pockets of his sweatpants. It was an intimate moment for the two of you, filled with raw emotion. You were given the privilege to see Hawks in such vulnerable moments for the past three years despite his training, when it was about you, he'd drop all the walls he built just for you.
You couldn’t help but wipe a tear yourself, it was a confusing time for you.   He glances up at you, glossy eyes sparkling in the light. “I don’t really want to do this.”
You nod, and hold in a choke sob, “This is just as hard for me as it is for you, but we need time apart. We need to be separate for a while and see new people. I-I hate the idea-“
“So why are we doing this!”
You sigh, “Because, we can't even look at each other without raising our voices. I wanted to be able to love you the way you need to be loved, and for three years I did.”
You look down towards your feet, chewing your bottom lip.
“I loved you more than anything, Hawks. But right now. We shouldn’t be together.”
Keigo doesn’t face you, he crosses his arms over his chest. “So that’s it? We’re breaking up?We’re separating.”
   “Yes.”
He shrugs as his hand goes to cover his mouth, his lips pressing into a line, he sends feathers to open the front door and help you with your bags. They follow you to the front door and out, Hawks gives you one last look from the doorway, and waves you goodbye.
 ***
It had been three months since your move to the new apartment, and you saw improvements in your life. You attended therapy and soon dropped all your pills, noticing you didn’t need them anymore since you were physically healed.
After much pleading and much needed talking, you finally were able to slowly get off the antidepressants. Your therapist had made a discovery as to why you may have been having erratic mood changes, the hero commission had still paid your therapy and bills and eventually you were given a job to teach at UA High as a science teacher (due to your incredible skills and hands on learning from your quirk, and besides it came naturally to you), you were also teaching kids how to master their quirks, joining the group of teachers that would teach the next generation of heroes.
Life was starting to get back on track, you even bought a dog. It was out of the spur of the moment, you decided to adopt a little dog and named it Birby after walking by the nearby shelter and seeing him wag his tail in joy, attempting to grab your attention.
Hawks would occasionally pay a visit to you, and catch up. The two of you decided that during the separation it would be best to at least make time to see each other one day out of the week.
He’d stop by every Thursday during your lunch break, he helped you grade papers and even met your dog when he came over to your apartment. Which ended with him playing on the floor with the pup the entire evening.
   It was a healthy separation.
“I’m glad you’re doing much better, you’re smiling like you used to.” He said, in between laughs as he cooed at the dog. You stick your tongue out at him and continue to grade papers.
“Oo a smiley face, let me guess the kid got an A?” Hawks guessed, suddenly appearing by your side. You nod and hand him a stack with an answer key and blue and red colored markers.
“Correct you are Hawks, my class rarely fails which means I’m a good teacher.” You applauded yourself, he lets out a laugh.
“Ha! I bet the only reason those kids pay attention is because they got a hot teacher. Hell I’d stay after school if it meant more time.” He joked, adding check marks to the correct answers and grading the papers accordingly, he’d even put a smile on the page like you.
You stay silent, it was like it all hit you at once that you and Hawks were separated. The thought had slipped your mind, it wasn’t like you didn’t appreciate it coming from him, but it was the fact that you guys haven’t spoken about each other like that. He senses the tension and cocks an eyebrow at you, “You're doing it again.”
You scoff, “What do you mean I’m doing it again? What am I doing?”
He points and waves the marker near your face, “The face you make when you're thinking about something really deep.” He says, before going back to grading. You place the pile of graded papers on your coffee table and turn towards him. He catches your gaze before placing his pile beside yours.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
You wave your hands in front of your face defensively as he inches closer to you, “N-No it’s nothing! It’s just-“
He scoffs, “Are you seriously mind fucked because I said you’re hot? Damn, I know we’re in separation and stuff but if I wanna call you hot I’m gonna call you hot.”
You wave your hands even more and slap them on your cheeks, “Hawks!-“
   “That’s not my name.”
You roll your eyes, “I don’t say your name anymore because of how personal it is too you-“
“And what? It makes you sound like all the rest, I allowed you to know my name for a reason. I don’t just hand it out to whoever. Again, just because we aren’t together doesn’t mean you can’t call me by my name.” He says, leaning back into your couch. You sigh in defeat, he was right.
“Soooo, Y/N, it’s been awhile since you’ve really talked to me. You haven’t told me much, so how’s the dating life?” He asks.
A frown appears on his face and you mentally facepalm yourself. ‘Way to get to the damn point.’   Keigo would only ever visit on Thursdays, which was part of the reason why he looked forward to Thursday’s. But even after you moved out, you guys remained close seeing as it would be impossible to forget one another and just called the split a separation though it was truly a break up. You never really opened up to him when he came over, during your lunch breaks he’d just help around and listen to your complaints about “How will this even prepare them in life? I don’t even fucking use this!” As you looked over your lesson plans.   He’d admire you from afar, and watch you. He cringed each time you called him Hawks, but still carried on with life. You just never really told him about what was going on like you used to.
“Keigo,” you say, earning a smile from the winged hero, “There’s nobody, I don’t really wanna get into another relationship.” You mumble, he shrugs.
“How about you? How’s the dating game?” You ask, crossing your legs.   He arches a brow at you and almost laughs, “I don’t got time for another chick, not in my interest surprisingly.” You nod, and squint at him.
“I’m sure you are busy, bird boy.”
A silence falls in between the two of you, creating an almost awkward tension in the air. You clear your throat, hoping he’d say something. But he doesn’t, he just grabs the pile of papers off the coffee table and continues to grade.
“What have you been up to, since you’ve moved here.” He asks, finally looking up to meet your eyes.
“I-I well, I go to therapy twice a week, I finally dropped all my pills, I got a job, I got my dog, that’s really it Keigo.” You said, shrugging your shoulders and giving a content sigh, you looked around your place and crossed your arms.
He nodded and smiled, “You stopped your pills?” He asks excitedly, it was a huge milestone and a big deal to him, and you understood why; the pills drained you and drain who you were as a person. It was just time to finally let them go.
  “yup.”
A grin plastered his face. He looked like he was proud, “I’m so happy for you, Y/N.” You thank him, and glance at his eyes. It’s been awhile since you looked at his eyes, which only reminded you of something you’ve been meaning to speak to him about.
“Keigo,” you grab his attention as he arches a brow, “I was wondering, I know this is sudden but I want you to know that at the time I couldn’t be with you because I was scared I didn’t love you anymore, I know we’re still in a tough spot but.. I want to at least try again.”
A silence falls between you two, he smirks after a couple seconds.   “You wanna give this relationship thing another try?” He asks, widening his grin. You smile back, “Yes. But I think the only way we’re gonna survive this is with counseling. We can’t just jump back in like when we first started dating.” You say, it was a good option.
There were still things left unsaid, sometimes old rotten memories would come up, it wasn’t going to be easy, and you finally came to terms that if it wasn’t him. Then it wasn’t anybody else.
The best idea was to have a mediator.   He agrees with you and you notice his wings twitch slightly, he was happy. And so were you.
***
“Now, before we start our first session I wanna make sure what my chart says is indeed true,” The counselor states, she crosses her legs and pulls at her glasses; adjusting them.
Keigo sits on one side of the couch meanwhile you sit on the other end, your palms are sweating in nervousness.
“Is it true that the two of you are in a state of separation currently? Meaning that you two no longer live together or see one another on a daily basis?”
   You both answer, “Yes ma’am.”
“Alright, is it true that the both of you have been in a relationship for three years?”
Again, the both of you nod and answer, “Yes, ma’am”   The middle aged woman claps her hands, flipping through her chart. “Alrighty you two, I usually start my counseling with a series of questions of basic getting to know you two, before we can truly get to the root of the problem.” You both nod in understanding, your hands clammy as they rub together.
“Now, Hawks, may you please retell the story of how you two met in the first place.” She smiles pointing at him with a pen. “It usually helps remind the clients why they fell in love in the first place.”
He clears his throat, “Well, I met Y/N when I was twenty years old, she worked for another agency at the time and I first heard of her when I realized she was climbing the hero charts pretty fast. We met at a Heroes Convention and she was wearing a red dress. The whole night I kept looking at her and eventually I introduced myself, a week later we found ourselves on the scene in a villain attack together, and I just asked her on a date. She said no,”
You laugh at the memory, he looked so rejected but instead of taking the no and dropping it, he’d asked every time you met till you finally said yes.
“She said yes after asking her twenty times.”
The counselor nods, opening her mouth to ask another question, “Who said I love you first?” She asks.
You answer this time, “Hawks, we had been dating for a month and he blurted it out when I was in the shower.”
Ah yes, he was ranting about something while you showered when he said, “I hope you know I love you, because if it weren’t for you I wouldn’t be sane.” You had peeked your head out slowly pulling back the curtains and stared him down. Stumbling on your words as a warm blush creeped onto your neck.
“Say that again?” You asked him, he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
   “I love you?”
“Yeah, say it again,” you smiled at him. Nodding for him to continue; “I love you.” He said it more confidently, you gave him a peck on the cheek and retreated you head back into the shower; “I love you too, birdbrain.”
It was a beautiful memory that you had forgotten, and now, it came back in a lightning strike. As if talking about it opened a whole cabinet of memories in your mind with him.
You had blamed him and treated him like nothing during that cold turmoil time in the relationship. Who knew the two of you would end up in an office trying to revive it.
Doctor Marie (the counselor) nodded, and proceeded to ask questions of the relationship.
“When did you two notice the relationship was coming to an end, in other words when and why did you guys decide to separate?”
That was a very loaded question.
It struck a nerve in you as you clutch onto the hem of your skirt. The two of you didn't respond nor answers.
Keigo simply said, “After her accident she started to take a boatload of pills but we didn’t know of the side effects. Not to mention she lost her quirk and Y/N really did cherish her quirk, that with also losing lives,” he mutter yet continued when you nodded for him to keep going. “It was a boat load of things, but I genuinely think for me we separated because we couldn’t handle it anymore. Every time I’d try to help her, or talk to her it just ended up in a screaming match. I loved her so much, but it’s hard to love somebody and be happy when the person doesn’t want anything to do with you.”
He turns to face you, nodding that it was your turn.
You sigh, “Well for me.. I was jealous of Hawks.” You say, it was true it was a feeling you hated. You felt like a stupid schoolgirl when that feeling over powered you, it was the first time you admitted it. “I was jealous because he still had his quirk, he still had everything. And every time he helped me it felt like he was treating me like a fragile porcelain doll he found from a vintage store. He’d look at me like a wandering puppy, and then on top of that it was like my head was just clouded with nothing. I started taking so many pills for pain, depression, sleep, you name it. Pretty irresponsible on my part, but I let it take over me to the point my body was just physically rejecting him. All I wanted to do was just leave and not have to face him anymore. And it hurt. Hawks was my first everything, we always talked. But now, or may I say then, it felt like he wouldn’t understand.” You confess.
Doctor Marie nods and takes notes on her small pad, “Interesting, when you say your body felt like it was physically rejecting Hawks what do you mean by that?” She asks.
You shrug sinking deeper into the couch, “I didn’t wanna see him, feel him, smell him.. touch him.” Your voice trailed off, it made your stomach churn.
“How’s that make you feel Hawks?”
   Again, very loaded question.
Keigo shook his head, racking up his thoughts before he spoke, “I-I felt shitty, like I was doing something wrong. I use to go to work and think I was missing a step, it wasn’t the fact that she didn’t wanna touch me that bothered me, I understand at that time sex can’t fix everything. But when the person who shared everything with you just doesn’t even want your presents around them anymore - it hurts. It made me feel like she didn’t love me anymore. There was a time I didn’t even love her, I couldn’t look at Y/N in the same light.”
Your heart broke as you stared at the mahogany desk in front of you.   The whole session was filled with more questions, some going ever deeper till eventually it was over. The sessions were two times a week, and it got easier for the two. Slowly their relationship fell back in place, but the house they shared once felt different.
The first time you stepped back into Keigo’s apartment you had to stop yourself. Looking back at the kitchen sink where most of your fights occurred, you dropped your bag off at the door. The place was filled with good and bad memories. But it was the bad memories that infested the place, eating away at the beautiful ones. And reminding the two of you why you hated each other. The both of you agreed on moving after couples therapy ended.
***
You hug your old hero costume tightly to your chest, the fabric nuzzled up into your neck as your racked sobs fill the nearly empty bedroom of your apartment. Birby nuzzled at your feet whining.
“Songbird are you - babe are you okay?” Keigo rushed to your side, and held you close. Noticing your costume in your quivering arms, as you started to slowly calm down he reaches for the costume with a concerning look, quietly asking for you to hand it over to him. You push the fabric lightly into his hands and wipe away your tears. “If it makes you feel better we can put it in a nice box full of other things, you can always look back at it. Or if it’s too much we can-“ you interrupt him and give him a reassuring smile. Your hand clutching onto his, rubbing small circles around his knuckles. “Throw it away. I had to come to terms that it’s over, I’m not crying because of my hero days being over. I’m just mourning the people I couldn’t save. That’s all babe.” You give him a peck on the cheek  and a gentle squeeze on his hand.
A box full of those memories would simply just be a painful reminder, besides, being a hero was in the past for you. Now, you were entrusted with teaching the new generation of heroes.
You feel his strong arms tighten around you.
 ***
Time passed and the two of you eventually moved in all of your belongings and furniture from the old apartment.
Now laying breathlessly beside one another underneath the cool bed sheets covered with sweat, slick and cum. This was the first time in a longtime, the two of you made love to one another. Breaking in the headboard against the wall, you wince at his touch.
    “Keigo..”
“Our neighbors are gonna hate us in the morning.” He chuckles, a small smile grazing your lips. You allow his finger to trace circles over your shoulder blades, allowing them to wander over the small bruises that littered the base of your neck. “They probably already know your real name..” You giggle, pecking his lips. “That's bad.. because then I’d have to kill them.” He reminds you of the strict rules he must follow, but he was mainly joking. He made sure to find a place with soundproof walls.
“Well, I’m sure you're right..” You feel his fingers run down to the curve of your thighs, stopping in between your legs. “Fuck..” You moan into his shoulder, “Fuck, songbird. I wanna hear you sing that song even louder. So wet for me, still so tight.” He growls into your ear.
It had been so long since the two had any sort of intimacy, you apologized deeply to him.
“I’m never gonna leave you again, Kid. It’s always going to be you.”
 ***
Months passed and your relationship was now at its best, you smiled as he eagerly kissed your cheek.
“Whoa birdbrain! What’s the hype.” You giggled as he lips peppered down our face, he only smiled and showed off his back. Pointing his thumbs at the now small wings, you gasped. “Kei! What the fuck happened!?” You exclaimed, he brushes you off and picks you by the thighs. “No time, don’t worry about it. No wings means shower sex!” He cheers, rushing towards the nearest bathroom. You sigh, throwing your arms around his shoulders.
“Why can’t we just have a peaceful shower instead.”
He stops and gently places you down on the bathroom counter, stepping back from between your legs and reaching down to the hem of his shirt, pulling the black and yellow fabric off. He looks like he is thinking when he smiles and kisses your forehead, “Tomorrow?”
Holding out a pinky for shower sex, you smile back at him, wrapping your pinky around his. “I promise tomorrow.” You begin to strip off your clothes for the day, watching as he turns on the shower head, tapping at the modes and setting the temperature to hot.
Later on as you feel his hands run through the roots of your hair you feel the sense of calmness, smiling and humming at his actions. You start to feel a tickle in your nose, “Babe. I’m gonna sneeze..” You warn, who knew a sneeze would be so... deadly that day.
In a matter of seconds the electricity in the apartment complex went out, and the water short circuited. Keigo stood behind you, dazed at the sudden shock.
“Babe! I’m so sorry!” You apologized, tugging at his puffed hair. He laughed in shock, before stuttering out the words, “Y-your q-q-quirk.. paid a-a v-visit.” You gave a weak laugh, wrapping a towel around him and you as well.
    “Guess it did.”
 ***
You made a doctor's appointment for the next day and was told indeed your quirk came back, that the possible medication had something to do with it’s delay. But you were also given extra news; you were expecting.
You smiled down at your tummy awaiting for Keigo to come back from his agency, though he was out of commission still didn’t mean he didn’t have work. He came back through the door with a smile, “So songbird, what’d they say.”
He pecks your cheek pulling off his jacket and gloves, “Well they said that the lab results do say that it’s positive that my quirk came back, it also says that it decided to probably show up now because I off all those medications and don’t have much stress anymore from after the accident. They themselves don;t know exactly how, initially the reports stated  that there were no signs of my quirk. So I must be lucky!”
“Well that’s great! That means you can come back and kick some ass again!” He cheers walking towards the kitchen, though he still wasn’t keen on the idea of just throwing you out to the public again. Because you worked at his agency before he’d probably have you doing small work. He couldn’t lose his songbird again.
You shook your head though, “Actually, I think I might just fully retire from all hero work. And stick to teaching, besides the doctor says it wouldn’t be good for the baby.” You grin, hoping he’d catch your drift.
He stopped dead in his tracks, processing your words. And slowly turning back to face you, a huge grin plastered on his face.
“It wouldn’t be good for the baby. You’re pregnant?”
You nod, “Three weeks along. Besides, I love my job teaching, I just love my kids.”
He runs out to you and engulfs you in a large hug, you feel tears start to stain your shirt. Your hand caressing his soft hair, running your fingers through his locks to calm him, “I thought I lost you.” His words tremble, you smile softly. “Never.”
BONUS:
Five years later…
“Alright kids! Have a good weekend, I’ll see you all tomorrow!” Y/N exclaimed, waving goodbye to her students for the weekend. She pulls out her chair from behind her desk, finishing up her work, when she hears the click of her door opening. The person behind it seemed to be having trouble opening the door, cocking a brow and tilting her head to the right, she smiles.
   “You need help?”
She grins when small feathers appear, and a small five year old boy waddles in. A bouquet of flowers covering his face, as he makes his way towards his mom.
“No mommy, I got it! We got you flowers!”
You gasp, “Oh baby! Thank you, what are you doing here? I thought you were still at school?” She gathers the flowers out of his small hands and admires the boy, he was a blessing. With his father's quirk, and hair, even his eyes. He was a carbon copy of your husband (That’s right the two got married after the birth of their son) and oh how much you loved the two of them.
“Daddy picked me up early because I had a tummy ache, and then he gave me medicine when we got home and now I feel better! So we decided to get you flowers and visit you!” He grins, sipping from his red sippy cup in his hand. Drinking away at the juice his father poured for him, Y/N grins, “Well where’s daddy now?”
At that exact moment, in appeared her husband. Opening the door to her classroom once more and placing a small kiss to her forehead. “Hey bird.” He grins picking up his kid and balancing him on his hip, “We missed mommy so we came to see you.” He pouts, earning a giggle from the boy.
    “I missed my boys too.”
“Mommy! Daddy even taught me how to fly, he dropped me off the balcony and at first I was falling-”
Keigo’s eyes bugged nearly out of his head, placing his gloved hand over his son's mouth. Muffling his words, “Well! Would you look at that! It’s time for us to leave, sorry we gotta cut this short-”
“YOU THREW MY SON OFF A SEVENTY FOOT BALCONY BY HIMSELF!?”
     “He was fine!”

Listen, being a werewolf in a human world is hard enough especially when it comes with a whole new world of secret societies and magic and literal demons and magic and endless rules that you have to learn and oh did I mention ACTUAL MAGIC?
It is exponentially harder when you make things worse by shoving a human into that world.
Y/n didn't have a werewolf ability to defend himself, or heal him when he got hurt. He didn't have magic... which you know thinking about it now, might be a good thing. He'd rather be useless than be part of the Order.
That was the problem though, wasn't it? He had chosen to be useless. That's what he was now.
I mean sure,  he'd read the books Jack had given him enough times to memorize them, and he was getting used to playing doctor. He was also getting really good at helping in small ways. Helping Hamish grade papers, or doing one night of homework for Lilith, or passing some messages around when Randall forgot because he was busy with supernatural stuff. He was great to talk or rant to, and all of the Knights had been utilizing the very nice ability to go off to someone who actually listens. Sure, he had fallen into a habit of taking notes for the Knights in the classes he had with each of them, if they missed. But... that was just school stuff. Sure it took off a lot of the pressure in the long run (a lot more than he probably even realized), but if they died what the fuck did school mater?
When Jack almost died after the whole meltdown with Silverback a while ago, it had really pushed Y/n into gear. He was a lot faster at responding to things; a lot more eager to help; and above all, the single most annoying person ever when it came to asking about going along to showdowns to play backup.
The others simply refused again and again, and, again and again, he would end up sitting in an empty room as he pretended to focus on whatever task he had given himself to kill time before the worry got to him and he just curled up on the couch ad stared at the ceiling. Worry ate him alive for several hours, and then he'd fall asleep. Most of the time because things always went far later than intended, but also sometimes because between being a student, having a job, scrambling to cover for your friends too, and spending several hours emotionally exhausting yourself with unimaginably high stress levels, one simply passes out.
As Y/n's falling asleep became more and more of a habit, things started to get complicated. Because the thing was, he always fell asleep waiting, so he would be in the Den's living room, uncomfortably scrunched on the couch. They'd left him there a few times and he always woke up sore and aching. They'd tried to wake him up a few times and, half delirious, he had overly emotional reactions. After he had broken down into tears at how happy he was to see all of them alive and then been so embarrassed he hadn't talked for three hours the next day in pure shame, they had decided against the waking him up method. Which only left one option: one of them carried him to bed.
Lilith had tried, but the size difference between her and Y/n was big enough that it was jst awkward for her. She was small (even though she'd never admit it). She's end up waking him up, or dropping him, and that was the last thing they wanted.
Hamish had also tried, but he was really awkward and didn't know how to let Y/n get comfortable in his arms while walking around so that he wouldn't wake up, so Y/n often would. Then it would be super awkward as they just stared at each other. Their relationship was too brotherly and rigid to make room for touching it seemed.
Of course Randall had given it a try, and he was actually fairly good at it, but as much as he was big enough to actually carry Y/n, and at ease enough to let Y/n stay asleep, he wasn't good at maneuvering, which often left him pinned under Y/n when he actually put the sleeping boy to bed. Which lead to a lot of them cuddling. Which, while that was chill and platonic and fun and stuff, made Jack super jealous.
Oh yeah, Jack had a HUGE crush on Y/n, so it only felt right that eventually everyone left it up to Jack to take Y/n to bed. He could pick Y/n up, carry him to bed, and put him in an actual bed without any problem.  Y/n didn't know this was happening. He had gotten used to everyone taking turns carrying him to bed, and they hadn't said anything so he assumed they'd just gotten better at it.
That's probably why on one particular night, he didn't simply assume that he was talking to Jack when he was picked up and began to be carried to bed.
That night was different, because Jack and Y/n had plans to study. Jack had an important test the next day and he and Y/n had the class in common, so Y/n had volunteered to stay up a little later to go through what Jack had missed. It had gotten derailed when Jack had been called away for Knight business, but Y/n had only written it off and told Jack that he'd still be there when it was over and they could continue if Jack was up for it. Unfortunately, it was one of the really time consuming ones, and Jack didn't get back until well into the night.
Dutifully, Y/n was asleep on the couch. His face was contorted oddly. Even asleep, the couch was uncomfortable enough to leave him with a permanent frown, even if it was soft since he was asleep. Jack wasn't surprised though - the couch was so small it barely fit two people on a good day, so sleeping on it was not a fun time.
Considering all of that, Jack thought it incredibly adorable that Y/n found a way to fall asleep on it anyway. They had told him a hundred times to just go to sleep in his bed, but he had refused time and time again. He had insisted that he needed to be as accessible as possible if nything went wrong. If they needed him, he had to be close. He insisted that it was best to be on the couch, and had sworn that he was trying to get into the habit of not falling asleep. But he always did, and he always ended up in the exact same situation. Not that Jack minded. It gave him a prime moment to hold his crush.
He scooped Y/n up now, smiling as the sleepy boy's head fell on Jack's chest. He sucked in a small breath but then settled. Jack chuckled to himself as Y/n pressed his nose into Jack's shirt, burying his face to get closer to the closest source of warmth since he didn't have a blanket. Jack began to carrying him to the stairs to head upstairs, but was stopped when Y/n's foot caught just a second on the doorframe. See, earlier Jack had hurt his arm. Due to werewolf healing it was almost fine, but it was still quite sore, and the tug on his shoulder when Y/n's ankle caught on the wall, forcing his leg into Jack's shoulder... Well it wasn't a big enough pain to make him drop Y/n or shout or anything, but it was enough to startle Y/n just a little bit awake.
"Wh- what?" Y/n mumbled, blinking heavy eyelids as he tried to look around. Jack winced, feeling guilt rise. "What happened? What did I miss?" His words were slurred, and it was obvious that he was barely conscious.
"Nothing," Jack reassured, hoping Y/n would just go back to sleep. If he knew Jack was there he would insist on staying up and helping. It would be nice and much appreciated - since Jack really did need help - but more than Jack needed help, Y/n needed sleep. He had been crashing on the couch for a reason; he was exhausted.
So Jack immediately rushed to soothe, "Nothing happened, just hit your foot on the wall by accident. Go back to sleep."
Y/n huffed, a whine in his voice when he argued, "No put me back." Jack tried to swallow a smile. It was adorable seeing a sleepy, whiny Y/n and that on top of his sleepy voice that was low and grumbly and kept cracking and having the boy in his arms, Jack was having a hard time not feeling a bit giddy.
He tried to keep his head on a little longer though. He needed to get Y/n to bed. "And why do you NEED to go to bed?" He teased lightly.
"I have to wait for Jack," Y/n mumbled, trying to blink the sleep out of his eyes. "We have plans."
Jack's smile turned warm. He thought about telling he who he was, but if he did then he'd NEVER get Y/n to sleep, so he decided to lean into the misconception that he was no in fact himself. "Jack will understand. It's late, you need to sleep."
"No," Y/n insisted with a firmer voice. He tried to struggle, but it was genuinely so pathetic that only a few seconds later he was still.
It made Jack wonder what Y/n was so desperate for though. "Why not?"
"He has a test tomorrow," Y/n explained with a soft irritation. "He needs help."
"You don't have to help him," Jack reminded softly, feeling suddenly guilty for some reason. Had he made Y/n feel obligated to help him?
"No I don't," Y/m agreed. "But I want to."
"Want to what?" Jack joked. "Stay away with a loser like him and lose sleep you need?" He had reached the top of the stairs now, and was headed to Y/n's door.
Y/n just rolled his eyes. "He's not a loser, but he does need help, and I can sacrifice a little sleep to help him with something he really needs. Making small sacrifices liek that is just what you do when you love someone."
Jack froze. WHAT?
When it was quiet for a long stretch of time, Y/n finally succumbed to the tiredness and his soft snores vibrated against Jack's chest. He cleared his throat and shook his head, opening the door and putting Y/n to bed. When he left the room, closing the door behind him, he came out with the biggest fucking grin he had ever worn.
Y/n like him back.
They had a lot to talk about tomorrow, and none of it had anything to do with a stupid test Jack no longer remembered. Because he loved Y/n too, and that's all he could think about right now.
Sorry Miss Styne.
