Kinda weird question, but does anyone have advice on picking a name?

We split an introject ish alter (long story, based off of a media but not an actual character) and they don't currently have a name but want one and don't know how to go about picking one.

I just trust the general vicinity of this blog to help us with this.

personally we think of things the alter likes (e.g nature) and then try look into names similar (like "rain" , "clover", ect)

We also like to look up ID packs or NPTs based of something the alter likes or a theme that the alter might want for their name (e.g; lamb NPTs or a demon ID pack) and then chose a name from there ((you could also search for NPTs or ID packs based on their source too, if applicable. If you find none there might be a few blogs out there willing to make some!))

If they already have some names in mind or have a source name and aren't too keen on them or just don't want to use them they could also search up "names similar to ___" and have a look at the results ^_^

Then from there I guess they just chose what they like
