i think the thing that is specifically bothering me about the conversation about the new hbomberguy video ("live your life in a way so that hbomberguy doesn't tear into you for 3 hours", "hbomberguy has figured out how to death note someone through video essays", "oh new hbomberguy video [incredibly dense paragraphs of text] i now despise james somerton") is that it really feels like people aren't paying attention to what hbomberguy was actually saying. like, as much as he wanted to make people aware of the plagiarism issue, he also very explicitly did not like the fact that he might even remotely have a financial incentive to make those sorts of videos. and rather than the last video, which was a "get mad about this" call to action, hbomberguy spent this whole video sympathizing with the people who were directly out indirectly affected, and wanted the focus of people's attention to be on uplifting small queer creators

but also, negativity drives engagement so i guess it's to be expected.

I think we all headcanon Bruce Wayne and Oliver Queen going to boarding school together but what if Lex Luthor went there as well…and they were friends. Like bestfriends. The kind of friend you talk to even after you graduate.

The JL undercover at one of lex’s galas to get some info on an evil plan he’s been cooking up:

Love nonbinary people forever, regardless of how they look, how they present, what pronouns do they look or whether they want to pursue medical transition or not. An AMAB nb person has a beard and looks like a bear? Good for them. An AFAB agender person is breasting boobily down the stairs? Good for them! A genderflux person decides to pursue medical transition and still be genderflux? Fantastic stuff imo. A nonbinary person does not want to disclose their ASAB? Also great! In my au, a mech's designation is part of their spark coding, they online with a unique designation. Of course, bots can change their name later, and it happens often. The headcanon is that Sunstorm, being a clone of Starscream, has a near identical spark signature, resulting in a bunch of copied coding. Shockwave is not amused.

The 1st time I watched all of tos Turnabout Intruder was my favorite episode. Despite the pretty intense sexism and crazy shatner acting, I just find the idea really compelling.

#also i lov that its an episode that calls out spock and jims special relationship and bc jim is a woman at the time leonard nemoy is #touching the actress in ways he would not touch shatner so it makes their relationship come off as more intimate than usual #and again the sexism is really bad but bc the writing is kinda deeply flawed its only more compelling to me. like the ending is kinda dark #and weird bc they kinda put Janice's hysteria on her being a woman rather than being a damaged person. so in the end she confims #that she is unfit for command. is physical overpowered by a man. treated like and child. ans sent off to some mental hospital for care #while the men in power on the enterprise shake their heads and say. if only she could have been satisfied in her womans body. without #addressing how its pretty fucked that woman cant b starfleet captains. like. thats a pretty unsettling and weird ending. it makes me feel #bad and thats why i like it so much. but im a freak like that so idk #star trek #tos #spirk #spock #james t kirk #also. i shoulf have spent more time making this look nice but i fucked upbthe colors #but i dont wanna redraw again. i cant get the proses right #poses look weird
