ALPHA KIDS: Draw your best friends!
DIRK: I'd say I'm better at one on one character interaction work of the more intimate variety, but I think this piece came together nicely.
DIRK: Fun for the whole family style wholesomeness, any motherfucker in the radius of a screen displaying this image will instantly get hit with a sore case of heartburn and their tear ducts will clock in overtime at the weeping factory.
ROXY: im so proud of these i think these are my best designs yet :3 but omg dirk callie and jake were SOOO peculiar about their damn designs over my shoulder. jake wanted me to clarify that even in pink pen form his little guy is BLUE. so there. sigh this is the one occasion they could take notes from janey.. JUST LET LE ARTIST WORK!
JANE: Boy! I don't draw often but I always was fond of calligraphy growing up. I was kind of inspired by all of the other's works, but especially Calliope's swirls she puts in her art. It's very fun to add!
JAKE: Im not quite the best with posing, but i find the head very fun to study! Especially skulls.. so good ole calliope makes for the perfect muse! (hehe)
CALLIOPE: i realized i hadn't ever made a piece with Us in the same place at once. u_u
CALLIOPE: bUt since it's reality now here's all of Us together, United at last! ^u^

NEIGE TIME HERE HE BE
i dont have any particular headcanons about his cooking skills, but I like to think that the guy can eat anything and somehow think its good. Like- absolute palate blindness. Just as a reference to the og snow white eating... you know, poison. I just think it fits :P
What do you think? Do you think he'd be a good or bad chef? Somewhere in the middle?
Staff time.... WOWOWOO v

OK, fair warning to the few people I actually managed to convince to try the game??
Rain world does NOT play like hollow knight, and you'll get your butt kicked if you approach it like that.
It's really hard. Like, really hard. Instead of the game literally giving you abilities in the form of power-ups and damage buffs, the only abilities you gain is from what you learn and your own ingenuity. You're a rat from beginning to end. If you just beef your way through it, it's gonna suck and you're gonna be confused and frustrated all the time. But if you pay attention, take it slow, and learn how the ai works and how everything interacts with each other, you can consistently get through and dominate situations you thought were impossible to do so when you first began. Now get out there, kill some lizards, and bully some old computers!

I've been asked a few times now, if these kinds of illustrations are traditional or digital. it's both <: The inks are traditional, made with 03 or 05 micron pen.
Then I take it to Clip Studio. Paint-bucket and basic brushes are used for big blocks of color and some preliminary details.
Brushes: Dense Watercolor, Transparent Watercolor, India Ink Darker Bleed, Bit Husky, G-pen, Milli Pen, Cross hatching texture brush. Blend: Running Color On Fiber
Somewhere in there, I'll pick up a free-to-use watercolor texture and set it on overlay, to see how it meshes with the values I already sketched in. I'll finish up the rest of the smaller details/values with the same above brushes. And voila.
Hope that's helpful <:

Charlie: "Payback time."
Charlie: "Oh Vaaaaaagiee~! You don't mind if I'm busy for the next hour or so? While I tenderly clean MY trident??"
Vaggie: "Sounds good babe. I'll watch."
Charlie: "I'm probably not gonna be able to pay aaaany attention to you at all! I'm probably gonna be too busy, running this soft bit of cloth all over every inch of-"
Vaggie: "You missed a spot."
Charlie: "-huh? Where?"
Vaggie: "Up and to the left. Your left. Not that far up-"
Vaggie: "-here, let me?"
Charlie: "But I already cleaned that part!"
Vaggie: "You gotta actually polish it, sweetie. Just wiping at it with a cloth won't work. Look. See?"
Charlie: "I guess..."
Vaggie: "It's got little micro scratches in the metal where blood and stuff can get trapped in. As long as they're not too deep you can clean them out with a good hard rubbing and some oil, but if they're any worse than this you'd have to buff everything down so it smooths out again."
Charlie: (slumping) "I can't believe this."
Vaggie: "It's alright Charlie. I'll do the polishing until you figure things out."
Charlie: (groaning) "Whyyyyyyy."
Vaggie: "Angel blood is corrosive even when dried so you don't wanna let it hang around. Especially we wouldn't want it to hurt such a pretty lady like this, now would we. Right?"
Charlie: (Glowering) "Right."
Vaggie: "That's my girl."
Charlie: "Thanks."
Vaggie: "...uh..."
Charlie: "...you were talking to the trident, weren't you."
Vaggie: "..."
Charlie: "Have fun with that, Vaggie. I'm gonna go check on the hotel."
Vaggie: "Wait, sweetie-"
Charlie: "Hmmm?"
Vaggie: "You haven't even seen what oil to use yet-"
Demon Charlie: "-IT'll BE WITH BOILING OIL AT THIS RATE."
Vaggie: "That... probably wouldn't hurt metal that got forged in hellfire, but you could just use room temperature."
Demon Charlie: (on fire) "NO!"
Vaggie: "Point is to reach all these little tricky spots."
Demon Charlie: "DON'T WANNA."
Vaggie: "You gotta be thorough, take your time, be attentive. It's kinda like when we-"
Demon Charlie: "So help me Vaggie do NOT finish that sentence!"
Demon Charlie: "...Vaggie? Vaggie, I really AM leaving this time- Vaggie are you even LISTENING TO ME!?"
Vaggie: "Mm-hm. I love pole arms too, hun."
Demon Charlie: "ARGH!!!"
