so like. i don’t think dsmp should have a reboot in terms of like. how reboots typically are. same story same characters just told in a ‘better’ way now that they know better.

i wouldn’t mind the title of dsmp 2 or whatever related to ‘dream smp’ though.

i think it would be fun if they made another server with all the same people, or at least most of the same people (whomever wants to return), and just. started fresh, completely fresh. new characters, new lore, new story. completely and utterly. not a sequel either or at least not a complete sequel. no one referencing events of the dsmp (unless, maybe for a handful of characters it applies to their lore if they chose).

like the idea of a “reboot” with rehashing the same characters and story and lore is bad.

but if they simply just make a new server on 1.19 and invite all the people that is already on the server and go ‘play and make stuff up as you go’ then that is absolutely fine, and i actually encourage it?

because a lot of the newer people, like eryn or cpk or aimsey, and even some of the moderately new like hannah and boomer and foolish and puffy, etc, will then get to be there from the beginning, and have more of a chance to story tell, if they wish to. they’ll also have more time to make things their own instead of trying to shoehorn in things to an already active and ongoing plot.

i think in this sense, if they make a new server that will be fine and okay, even if some peoples’ stories from the dsmp end up not getting told? its overall their choice with how they want to continue their characters, and that includes not at all, and if they chose that they’d rather start something new, that could be fun.

besides having new characters with new stories and plots being told through the minecraft medium can be SO fun.

we see this with so many other minecraft based fandoms, how they do “reboots” without being related to prior ones, or seasons if you will. think of the last life/third life/double life series, where they all have lore and stories and stuff but it’s reset, for the most part, every season. then they tell something different.

like. honestly a reboot or season 2 could be VERY GOOD if it’s actually a blank slate, or like 98% a blank slate (again some characters i think could benefit or have ways to be connected to the dsmp as their backstory and have it work).

i think you guys are just really scared of change and things ending up horribly.

if, and i mean if, the reboot is how i’ve said as some sort of blank slate server where these guys get to do stuff all over but new with different characters, it will ultimately be good.

the dream smp as a server has been ongoing for 2+ years. some of these people haven’t even gotten to explore or play on the server due to lore. think of cc!dream. he had to do a whole out of character stream after the prision break because he genuinely hadn’t seen most the builds that happened since he’d been imprisioned, and he wanted to see them. let alone actually just getting to play minecraft with friends.

the dsmp has become so lore heavy that it is story being told through minecraft, not minecraft with a story being told.

they don’t get to mess or fool about much anymore, and again i think a reboot would let them be able to do this.

we’d get that nostalgic feel of how casual rp was on the dsmp during 2020, we’ll get to enjoy new characters and immerse ourselves in a new story with new lore.

this is a good thing, i think. i genuinely don’t think most the cc’s on the server would even be for a total reboot. a lot seem to want to be done with the dsmp story like, 6 months ago.

i think a lot want to do new things, so a “reboot” will probably just be a season 2 type deal with a new story, new characters, new world, etc. and i am excited for that.

i’m once again, handling you these cutely. (note; this turned into just bedrock bro’s hc’s but ykw i think that’s pretty valid)

• surprisingly, he’s always been good at doing hair / styling hair? he’s been good at braids, ponytails, buns; he’s always been good at it because he used to practice it in techno’s hair. it was something that used to just be a habit that he did when he was bored, but back in pogtopia he used to mess around w/ techno’s hair more for comfort than anything else. he always use to put little braids in techno’s hair, and when he wasn’t messing around with it he’d always lecture techno about how Awful he was at taking care of it, because he was. he’d always give him tips on how to take care of it better, and even though techno didn’t know what it meant he’d always listen; eventually he’d start to seek out tommy himself just to mess around w/ his hair—it was soothing for both of them.

TOMMY: don’t you know how to take care of your fuckin’ hair? it’s all knotted and gross!

TECHNO, whos spent most of his life being a potato farmer; :)

• in addition to this, he’s surprisingly good at things like hygiene & he gives good advice on things like fashion (note; i know cc!tommy wears like the same shirt every day but shh let me have this), so back in the earlier days of l’manberg he’d always hang out w/ niki and they’d always speak about things like hair and clothes and stuff, and she’d sometimes even let niki do his hair, even if it was too short to really do anything special. it was their little sessions where they’d gossip about everyone else in l’manberg, & they wouldn’t ever let anyone else in there. wilbur constantly tried to follow them but he’d always have to be forcably pushed out.

NIKI; did you hear what fundy did yesterday?

TOMMY, doing her nails, nodding; yeah. he’s such a dumbass

NIKI; he just doesn’t understand

TOMMY; mhm 🙄

• when he was younger he always used to have a shit ton of stuffed animals. he’ll deny this for hours & hours on end, but his bed used to make up of stuffed animals. he’d name every single one of them, he’d use to make little clothes for them to wear, he’d always carry them around and whenever he was separated from them he’d always cry and throw a fit. his favorite stuffed animal was a plush cow named henry, and he was shit at taking care of it; henry went through hell and back, and in the end he ended up losing it. he hid in his room for weeks and refused to come out of pure grief.

• also when he was younger, he always used to put on plays for wilbur, techno, and phil. he’d always craft his own little tools, like a fake sword, a fake cape, a fake shield, and he’d put on a little show with his stuffed animals as his characters. he’d used to have notes written in crayon about the plot and the characters backstories that was practically unintelligible, and he’d always be the hero saving the day. he’d sometimes even pull techno into it, and he’d make him be the villain with a cartoon mask held by string that barley fit his face.

TECHNO, walking out into the living room: i don’t want to be here.

TOMMY, holding his sword triumphantly; you fiend! i’ve cornered you! there’s nowhere to run!

PHIL; you’ve been concerned techno. you better back down

TECHNO; he’s a 6 year old, phil. whats he gonna do—

TOMMY, immediately wacking him directly in the stomach with his sword;

• when tommy started living with techno, the first gift he ever gave him was the fake red cape tommy used to play pretend in. it wasn’t big enough for him, and it was ripped and covered in scribbles of crayon, but tommy was too touched by the fact that he even kept it to care about the quality.

TOMMY: you—you kept my cape?

TECHNO: yeah. it’s—it’s the first thing that inspired my cape,,..

TOMMY, on the verge of tears; my stupid stories are the reason behind your cape? that’s so—

TECHNO, immediately wacking him on the head with the fake sword: shut up.

• techno didn’t ever tell anyone, but the reason he’d made his cape almost identical to the one tommy had was because he wanted to be the hero that tommy created that he loved so much.

• tommy’s always been frustrated whenever he couldn’t get something right on the first try; he’s always been sort of,,.. hard on himself? and whenever he messes up he always ends up getting angry and refusing to do any more work. it’s something that’s in his mind that tells him he won’t ever succeed, so he just doesn’t want to try. the only person who’s ever been able to get him to continue trying his techno. anyone else, when they’d try to rally his spirits it would just end up in an argument, but techno’s the only person who’s been able to successfully get through to him.

TOMMY; this—this is stupid. i don’t even want to try anymore, it’s—i can’t do anything-

TECHNO; you know that’s not true, tommy.

TOMMY; it’s not?! i fucking failed, techno, what else am i supposed to do—

TECHNO: try again.

TOMMY: but-

TECHNO: i’ll help you. just try again. you won’t ever succeed if you don’t try.

TOMMY, grumbling: like you’re all wise...

TECHNO: i am :]

• tommy and techno’s favorite thing to do together is train. when tommy was younger techno didn’t go as hard; he’d always use to let his little brother win in fear of actually hurt him, and he couldn’t always erase the satisfied feeling he got when tommy beamed whenever he’d “won”. even if he’d purposely tripped over his feet.

TOMMY, standing over techno’s body, sword in hand: i beat you!!! :DDD

TECHNO, gently picking him up and putting him on his chest: you beat me. whatever will i do. you’re just too strong.

TOMMY, bonking him on the head with the sword; that’s right >:D

• though, when tommy started living with techno again he didn’t let himself go as easy on him. he’d seen the way that tommy wanted to be stronger— didn’t want to be as easy to control, so he’d figured that training him would be the right way to go. he’d frequently knock tommy on his ass and he’d have to hold back his laughter when tommy got up with a scowl cause he just couldn’t win.

TOMMY: what the fuck! this isn’t fair! i always used to beat you when i was younger??

TECHNO, knowing full well that wasn’t the truth: you’ve gotten worse :)

ARC Training Program Ch. 2 "Starting Small"

(Here it is! I hope you like it! I made this chapter a little longer then the first. Alpha-17 starts a ARC Training Program and it isn't going well.)

Things hadn’t started out on the right foot. After the first training exercise Alpha had decided to whoop these boys into shape. He deliberately made their life hell. He woke them up at the ass crack of dawn and made them run sprints. He had them run through simulation after simulation. Even during the classroom portions, he didn’t take it easy on them. He drilled them with every scenario possible and had them copy the reg manual front to back. By the end of the first week, he had to hand it to the boys. They were resilient. Despite being exhausted and pushed to their limits every single day they still gave it their all. They showed Alpha every chance they could on why they were the best of the best. That is until they’re put into a group simulation. Then everything turns to shit.

Alpha stands at the top of the training room looking down at the eight cadets failing once again to complete a single practice battle. He growls deep in his throat before slamming his fist on the stop button. CT-7567 trips on a shutdown droid toppling over into CC-2224.

“How many times do I have to tell you to stay out of my way?” CC-2224 yells while shoving 7567. The cadet stands quickly to stand toe to toe with 2224.

“Come on, don’t fight!” CC-1004 groans from the back.

“Hey, at least he doessomething! You and CC-3636 are to concerned about tripping over each other to do anything!” CC-1010 yells from the side. He crosses his arms and leans against one of the blocks used for cover.

“Oh, right? Like you and CC-4477? You two can’t take two steps without knocking into one another.” 2224 snorts. This causes all eight boys to erupt into arguing.

“Enough!” Alpha yells down at them. They pop to attention. Alpha rubs his face tiredly. “Clean this mess up and when you’re done with that you can go and clean the refreshers!”

He hears a few groans but he’s to tired to scold them anymore. He walks away mostly because he feels like he has to. He walks into his room ignoring Fordo who sits on his couch pressed against the wall. He looks up from his datapad with an amused look on his face.

“So, how’s it going?” He asks already knowing damn well how its going. Alpha stands by his table taking deep breaths.

“I have never seen so many talented cadets in my entire life who are completely incapable of working together!” He places his hands on the table in frustration. Fordo shifts on the couch with his head turned as if thinking.

“You know,” Fordo starts, “If I remember correctly, you and I weren’t the best at teamwork when we first started out.”

“That was different.” Alpha sighs while taking a seat at the table.

“How so?”

“Because we started out being the best. We weren’t the best out of a batch. We were the best because we had to be the best. These boys aren’t used to actually working as a unit with equally competent members. They also don’t trust each other not to spit in each other’s food let alone save their life on the battlefield.” Alpha leans back in his chair. He rubs his sore neck while Fordo chuckles on the couch.

“So do some trust exercises. Remember when Jango took us diving into the waters beneath Tipoca city and we had to rely on each other to make it through the night? We were all scared shitless but none of us wanted to admit it. That was the night we finally clicked as a team.” Fordo leans forward on the couch. Alpha thinks on it for a moment.

“You want me to take those boys diving under the city?” Alpha arches a brow at him.

“With your boys? No. You’d lose all eight of them. They would still be arguing even while drowning.” Fordo gets to his feet. “I just mean something like that. Whatever version of diving it would take for your boys to finally click into being a team.”

Fordo walks out of his room leaving him with no answers. Alpha crosses his arms and stares at his table. He has to find a way to get them to work together. He pushes himself up and grabs a clipboard before walking out of his room. He finds the boys still cleaning up the practice room. He decides to analyze them one by one and start small. He begins writing notes.

CC-2224: Smart, dependable, most levelheaded of the eight. Follows orders a little to closely.

CT-7567: Brave, determined, not afraid to think outside the box. Seems to think all orders are mere suggestions.

CC-3636: quiet, quick on his feet, likes to observe from the back. Needs to learn to speak up more.

CC-1004: smart, constantly learning, not afraid to ask questions. Never seems to make the first move.

CC-1010: fast, skilled, best attention to detail I’ve ever seen. A little to smug for my liking.

CC-4477: fast learning, not afraid to make mistakes, always ready to go. Seems to have a hard time finding his own rhythm.

CC-1138: strong, intimidating, wouldn’t want to get into a fight with this one. Has anger issues and doesn’t like losing.

CC-8826:

Alpha looks up from his writing to stare at the boy as he scrubs the floors. He gets this crazy look in his eyes before aggressively scrubbing as if he were throwing punches. Alpha lets out a deep hm while writing:

That boy’s not right.

He stares at his notes while bringing a hand to his chin. Perhaps he should start small. Break them up into twos. Alpha flips on the bright lights getting the attention of the cadets. They stare up at him waiting for orders.

“All of you, front and center!” Alpha yells with his hands behind his back. The boys rush to the lift. Alpha rolls his eyes when they even fail to get on the lift without fighting each other. when they finally stand in front of him, he stands up tall. “We’re going to be doing one last exercise. Complete it and your free to have the rest of the day for yourselves.”

This makes their usual glued neutral faces expose flashes of excitement. Alpha hasn’t made it easy on them and they haven’t had any real time for themselves.

“We’re going to be doing more practice battles but this time in groups of two,” Alpha watches but their faces are back to neutral. “The rules are simple. Complete one practice battle successfully and you get the rest of the day off. Fail to complete the battle and you’ll be redoing it over and over again until you get it right. Understand?”

“Yes, sir!” They say but Alpha can sense the uneasiness.

“Alright, CC-2224 and CT-7567. You’re up first.” Alpha says. The boys eyes grow wide. It hasn’t been any secret that those two haven’t gotten along since day one. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out when it’s just the two of them. 2224 and 7657 walk back to the lift to take themselves back down. Alpha stands with the other six curiously watching at his side.

“Just stay out of my way.” 2224 mutters before they start. Alpha can hear everything they say through their coms.

“Right, I’ll stay out of yours if you stay out of mine.” 7567 says back. Alpha shakes his head before pressing start. It first starts off well enough, but it never takes long for things to fall apart. 2224 follows the orders given to him down to the letter while 7567 focuses on his own plan. 7567 ends up ahead of 2224 leaving him stranded. Alpha frowns already seeing the end. 2224 gets surrounded and eventually shot leaving all the focus on 7567. When they both eventually come back to and the training battle is reset they make their way back up to Alpha.

“Where did they go wrong?” Alpha asks the six watching by his side.

“They left themselves completely open.” CC-1010 snorts.

“They left each other completely open.” Alpha corrects him. “7567, when an order is given, I expect you to follow it! And 2224, following orders is one thing. Never stepping outside of those orders is another. How do you expect to lead a group of men into battle when you lack the ability to think on your feet?”

The two say nothing but stare at the floor with their faces growing a few shades of red.

“Alright,” Alpha moves on. “CC-3636 and CC-1004. Your up next.”

Alpha is curious about these two. They never stand out and rarely cause any waves. He’s interested in seeing how they do when it’s just the two of them. He watches them take point down below.

“We got this!” 1004 says. 3636 doesn’t say anything. He shifts his training blaster while waiting to begin. When it does start it doesn’t look promising. They both seem entirely too timid. Their aim is good and its not that they are making bad decisions, but they lack the confidence needed to properly execute the orders given to them. They end up getting shot a lot sooner then the first two. When they make their way back to the top Alpha says again.

“Where did they go wrong?”

“They moved way to slow.” 1010 says not afraid to give his opinion.

“Alright, anyone else?” Alpha says trying to get someone else to answer.

“They lack confidence.” 2224 says still sounding down from his failed attempt with 7567.

“Exactly,” Alpha nods. “If you two ever hope to be a leader you have to have confidence in yourself. Someday lives will be on the line and you’re going to have to make the difficult decisions. There’s no time to second guess yourselves.”

“Yes, sir.” They say softly. They fall back in.

“CC-1010 and CC-4477, you’re up.” Alpha nods his chin towards the training room. He watches them make their way to the bottom.

“Just follow my lead and we’ll have the rest of the day to relax.” 1010 says. Alpha almost hopes that they will fail this one. Might do some good for CC-1010 to get knocked down to size.

“… sure.” 4477 mumbles. When they begin they start out well enough. As much as Alpha hated to admit it, they were doing good. Normally they’re tripping over each other and breaking out in fights. With the rest of the eight out of the way it gives them space to do what they need to do. They get further than any of the others. The six watching by Alpha’s side lean on the railing in excitement. Just when it seems that they’ll be the first to finish Alpha sees their mistake before it happens. 4477 has an opening to make a break for the tower. He see’s his chance and tries to take it but 1010 see’s it as well. Despite 4477’s clear advantage to the tower 1010 charges forward as if to outrun 4477 and beat him to it. This results in one of their usual headbutts and then a small brawl. Alpha stops the training before they can get shot. When they make it up to the top 1010 won’t make eye contact with anyone.

“Alright, what did these two do wrong? Aside from the fist fight at the end.” Alpha sighs.

“CC-1010 is too full of himself.” CC-8826 says. 1010 lifts his eyes to 8826 with his face burning with rage.

“He’s right,” Alpha says keeping him in his place. “CC-1010, you’re to worried about being the hero and being in the spotlight that you jeopardized the mission! And CC-4477 you can’t let people walk all over you! What are you going to do when one of your men doesn’t agree with one of your orders?”

4477 lowers his head while 1010 looks away with an angry frown. Alpha lifts a hand to rubs above his eyebrows.

“Alright, last two. You’re up.” Alpha says already knowing this will be a disaster. CC-1138 and CC-8826 are the biggest problem children. They’re both temperamental and have a competitive side like no other clone. They share no words with each other while waiting to start. Alpha crossing his arms and holds his breath during their battle.

Despite everything he’s seen about these two in the past, they’re doing better then any other group. Alpha has to keep his hand on his chin to keep his jaw from dropping. 1138 uses his brute strength to clear a path for the much faster 8826. They barely speak but seem to be on the same page with each other. Alpha thinks back to every other practice battle and how they always end up in an all-out fight. Now, watching it just be the two of them Alpha realizes it’s because they finally have an equal number of droids to destroy. Without the competition of the other cadets, they find no issue working beside each other. when they make it to the top of the tower and pull the green flag out of its post it leaves Alpha and the six other cadets speechless.

1138 holds the flag still in his hand with a blank expression while 8826 bends his legs and balls his hands into fists while letting out a victory scream. Alpha finds himself at a loss for words as the two make their way back up to them.

“You’ve got to be kidding me?” 1010 says. “Psycho and Bigger Psycho beat it first try?”

Alpha finally snaps himself out of his daze to clear his throat to silence CC-1010.

“CC-8826 and CC-1138, I’ll have to admit I wasn’t expecting any of you to succeed first try. Congratulations. You’re free to use the rest of the day as you see fit.” Alpha says. 8826 gives a smug grin while walking past the other six before turning to 1138.

“Wanna get some food?” He asks to which 1138 responds with a hm. Which Alpha can only guess means yes? Alpha shakes his head slightly to get him focused back on the matter at hand.

“Alright, we’re back to the first two. Go on.” Alpha says. he watches the last three groups fail once again. The first group fail on their third event, but the second group finally seem to be getting the hang of it. CC-3636 and CC-1004 begin to communicate and in that communication they find confidence. They’re the next group to successfully finish the practice battle. It would take a whole other round for CC-1010 and CC-4477 to start working together. CC-1010 ends up being the one who reaches the top first. Alpha still isn’t sure if its because 4477 made it that way or if that’s just how it happened. Either way he let them go. This just left CC-2224 and CT-7567.

They would try again and again only to fail over and over. It is starting to get late, so he asks Fordo to make sure the other six are in their racks asleep. When he walks back to join Alpha, he’s just in time to see the last two remaining clones fail all over again.

“They haven’t even gotten close to the tower.” Alpha shakes his head trying to hold back his anger.

“Maybe they’re a lost cause?” Fordo shrugs his shoulders. Alpha stays silent not sure if wants to agree with him or not. Fordo pats his shoulder.

“I’m heading to bed. Try not to stay up to late.” He says before walking away. Alpha watches the boys fail one more time before shutting the droids down. The two make their way up to stand in front of Alpha. They’re both dripping sweat and exhausted. They can barely hold their blasters properly anymore. Alpha lets out a long sigh.

“Boys, I’m not going to sugar coat it. This isn’t good.” Alpha starts. “Some people just aren’t cut out to be ARC troopers…”

“What? No, no we can still do this!” 2224 yells.

“He’s right! Just give us one more chance!” 7567 begs. Alpha shakes his head while rubbing the back of his neck.

“Boys, you need to realize…”

“No!” 2224 says stopping Alpha. “You said so yourself that we are the best of the best. We can prove to you that you were right! We belong here.”

“He’s right sir. I know we have our differences but though we’ve failed every single time every time I get up to do it again well, CC-2224 is right there beside me ready to go again. We’re not giving up yet!”

Alpha stares at the two cadets who were just struggling to stand up straight now at full attention with determination in their eyes. He tilts his head to the side thinking it over.

“Alright,” He says seeing the relief wash over the two. “But you have one more shot. One more! You fail this time then I have a decision to make by morning.”

“Yes, sir! Thank you, sir!” they say before running for the lift. Alpha shakes his head. They’ve never even come close to the tower. Why would this time be different? Even as he thinks this, he notices the two talking on the lift. Actual talking, not fighting. The have their helmets off so Alpha can’t listen in. when they slip their helmets on Alpha hears “Right there with you brother.” He shifts his weight to the other leg intrigued. Maybe they really mean it this time? When they appear ready, Alpha presses start.

He finds himself holding his breath. The last few tries were complete failures. They had lost all energy and could barely make it to cover in time. This time they seem to have caught a second wind. They’re still sluggish compared to their normal speeds but there’s a clear difference then the try before this. The biggest difference is the team work. They communicate with each other and don’t advance without the other. at some point they stand back to back taking down droids. Alpha lifts a hand to his chin feeling a grin spread across his face. They’ve almost made it towards the end. Alpha gives out the last set of orders and waits. Alpha feels his stomach drop when they begin to get surrounded. He shakes his head. This is it then…

Just when Alpha is ready to hit the stop button CC-2224 does something unexpected. He rushes forward throwing himself on a droid similar to the way CT-7567 has. He spins around on the thing before firing down at it stunning it. 7657 manages to take down a droid for himself. Alpha finds himself leaning against the railing when these two cadets begin using the stunned droids as shields. They begin advancing for the tower. Alpha squeezes the railing the closer they get to the top. Finally, they both throw their droid shields at the advancing droids and make a break for the top. They both grab hold of the flag and lift it into the air cheering. Alpha pulls himself together and stands tall. He watches the cadets throw their arms around each other screaming in victory.

“CC-2224 and CT-7567,” Alpha calls down. They break apart to stand at the closes thing to attention they can manage at this point. “Congratulations. You two have finally passed your practice battle. Now go hit the showers and get to bed! We got another long day of training tomorrow.”

“Sir yes sir!” They yell. Alpha chuckles to himself as he watches the two cadets laugh and playfully shove each other while making their way out of the training room.

“There’s hope for you yet, rookies.”

UPDATED AGAIN! NEW AND IMPROVED MAY 17, 2022!

I’ve done my best to improve eye-popping issues, and also reshaped the eye slightly to make the seam look a little nicer so you have a little more sculpting freedom without having to worry about making things look odd. I also finally fixed the preset thumbnails, so you don’t have to look at the ugly ea-generated ones anymore :) If you redownload and replace the old package, your cyclopses should update to the new version just fine. The eye shape should be very close to the original, so they most likely won’t need any fixing after you update. If you’ve used an older version of these presets, you may need to clear your caches for the thumbnails to show up.

Whoa! Not a piece of cc I expected to make, but when I figured out I could, I knew it was my duty.

This is an eye preset that contorts your beloved sims’ faces into that of a cyclops. Because its a preset, it still moves and uses sliders, opens/closes like a regular eye.

However, because it’s one very large eyeball taking up 2 eye sockets, stuff gets a little fucky sometimes. In a lot of ‘normal’ facial expressions, the eye looks perfectly fine. But if they turn it too far, then the eyeball pops out of the eye socket a little bit. I think I’ve minimized this to the best of my ability without sacrificing the Look. It also might look a little wonky if the sim winks.

It should appear near the top of your eye presets, and all three sizes have a custom thumbnail.

It also doesn’t always look great out of the box, you gotta play with the nose sliders usually and the eye sliders a bit.

I recommend using them with a monobrow/unibrow, but like. Obviously make your sims however you want!

Enabled for all ages, genders, and occults. It should be genetic? I haven’t tested

**UPDATE**: Now it comes in three sizes! Original, larger, and extra large! These are included all in the same package. If you already downloaded, please redownload! The bigger eyes have slightly more noticeable clipping, but it’s not too much worse! (Note: you will likely need to do more face tweaking the larger the eye, I had to squish my models nose so it didn’t poke through)

‘But how does it look with makeup and glasses?’

Makeup looks shockingly good. The eyelids merge in just the right spot, though on some eyeshadows there is a bit of a noticeable seam. One of the images shows an eyeshadow where each eye is a different color, so you can more easily see the seam in the center.

It doesn’t change any glasses as far as I’ve seen, so they may look a bit silly, but I have some custom-made glasses available here. But the 3d lashes that I’ve tried DO work.

on the topic of alastair apologizing... let's talk about the Academy. idk, here's my two cents.

EDIT: thank you to @alastairxcarstairs for pointing out that Alastair's hair was natural at the academy, not bleached. I have made a few edits in red! I don't think it changes the idea of my post too much, but it does raise some complications as something that we know has affected alastair deeply (vs a comment about his father & clive which were things he was already feeling and whose traumas to not lie in a comment made) and I think honestly might be one of the only ways for a reconciliation between the two of them, to recognize that they both used shitty ways that the world works against them to hurt each other deeply, and that wasn't right. (also can the two queer "icons" learn to not be racist please & thank)

this got... ridiculously long. I'm sorry. feel free to disagree with anything I've said, it's just my conclusions from what I've read an my own experiences. theres a lot of discussion of bullying, death, and alcoholism.

alastair really didn't say much to or about kit and thomas (except the rumor, which I'll get to in a second) at all. he called thomas names, but it wasn't something that ever really bothered thomas and I think that's probably because alastair never said them with malicious intent.

he said a lot of shit to and about james and his family, none of which james deserved. that's something he needs to atone for.

most of his bullying (except the rumor) with matthew was reciprocated. they both talked shit to and about each other. it doesn't cancel each other out in a way that means it never happened, but its not really something anyone has to atone for imo, just more of a "we both treated each other like shit and that was stupid, let's move on from it and not do it anymore."

the vetis demon... it was a prank. a cruel, scary, idiotic prank. it wasn't alastair's idea, but he went along with it and he helped. obviously it was something very distressing to james and matthew, but they're both fine. I'm not saying alastair should get a pass for it, but clive literally died. they were 14/15 and as someone who lost a classmate at that age, there's a weird sort of guilt about it, even when you had nothing to do with their death. alastair learned the consequences of his actions the hardest way possible, and I don't think people recognize that enough. we don't know much about clive at all. he acted like an asshole, sure, and he was definitely naive and arrogant (a vetis demon???) but we don't know how he treated alastair. was he kind to him behind closed doors? was he always cruel? did he bully alastair? we don't know. regardless, I'm positive that alastair has a lot of complicated feelings about it, and a fuck ton of guilt. because HE can be a better person. HE can apologize and move forward and travel the world and fall in love and get his heart broken and do all of the things that people do after they finish school, and clive never will. alastair learned his lesson, and james and matthew can be reasonably certain that he'd never try anything like that ever again. while he could certainly still apologize for it, I think thats something they can assume at this point without him saying it.

the second one was deliberate, matthew knew that alastair had already told him it was Clive's idea, but he WANTED to get until alastair's skin. he WANTED to make alastair hurt more. he was a child (they both were), and he was upset, and he wanted to make alastair hurt. and he did. alastair snapped.

and, finally, the rumor. the first thing to recognize is that alastair was in a bad place when he said that. he said that because he was in a bad place. all of those^ complicated feelings had just started (clive had literally just died) and to make matters worse, everyone's fathers had rushed to the Academy in wake of the incident except for Elias (thomas pointed this out). then matthew showed up. he started out by calling alastair names, fine, typical. then he said "Has no kind soul thought to inform you that your hairstyle is, to use the gentlest words available to me, ill-advised?..." strike one "...A friend? Your papa?" strike two. then he said "Though I cannot help but wonder whose idea their nasty little trick was" even though Alastair had already explained that it was Clive's idea and why, strike three.

the first one was just racist. maybe he didn't mean it to be, but we know that alastair was self conscious about his hair because of how dark his features are and how alienated he feels as a non-white boy.

the second one was an unfortunate coincidence imo. matthew had no idea what alastair was going through at home or that he was particularly upset about Elias that day because he'd been forced to watch all of the other boys with their fathers.

in matthew's eyes, what he said there SHOULD have been just another throwaway insult, but he was blinded by his privilege as a white boy with loving parents, and anyone who knows alastair's situation can see that it anything other than just a throwaway comment.

I'm explaining all of this not to excuse what alastair did but show how the rumor scene was atypical from his usual bullying. we haven't SEEN enough on paper to make that observation, but we can infer from all of this that that was not how alastair normally behaved. that was how alastair behaved when he was pushed over the edge, that's it.

while he said awful things about Thomas and his parents and Matthew's parents, he was never trying to hurt them, it likely didn't even cross his mind. he didn't start that rumor, and I doubt he even ever actually spread it. there's no evidence that he would be someone to spread rumors like that (something very speculative and secretive, vs something obvious and well-known like what he said about tessa), especially given the rumors around his own family. he only repeated it to matthew because he was pushed out of his limits. it's most likely that he heard the rumor, ignored it, and the ONLY time he has ever spoken it was to matthew that day.

he said it to hurt matthew. that was his only goal. that was his only motivation. he wanted to make matthew HURT. and he did. he really, really did. I think he could see it as soon as he said it. CC has said that he regretted what he said as soon as he said it. he hurt matthew in ways that can never be undone, and I think he knew that as soon as he said it because he has been hurt that way, too.

so, no, I don't think alastair actually owes thomas or sophie or gideon or charlotte or henry an apology for what he said beyond "I caused this person you love very much irreparable harm" because while he said awful things about them, he never did anything to actually hurt them (beyond hurt matthew).

to say that alastair owes matthew an apology... feels a little cheap to me. I don't think alastair will ever genuinely apologize to matthew solely because he doesn't think that what he's done could ever be forgiven. even if he were to become a fucking saint, even if he became the nicest, kindest, most giving man on earth, there is nothing he can say or do that can undo the pain he's caused.

what happened to charlotte and her baby is NOT alastair's fault, nor is matthew's alcoholism (because we could play the blame game all day then - because if it weren't for Elias would alastair have been pushed past his limits? is it his fault? if his alcoholism is because of his brother's death, was all of this just Yanluo's fault in actuality? but that was all in revenge for Wen Yu exterminating a nest of demons, so maybe it's her fault, then? it would never end, and that's not even TOUCHING mother hawthorn's involvement). matthew MUST be responsible for his own actions and choices.

but alastair caused a harm to matthew's psyche that can NEVER be erased. he will carry until the day he dies. alastair may have not intended to hurt him in such a profound was, but he did, and he knows it. he crossed a line that cannot be uncrossed.

this doesn't mean that alastair can't be redeemed or that he can't be a good brother-in-law to james and a good partner to thomas or a good person in general or even that him and matthew can't move past it and learn to tolerate each other. but in his eyes and matthew's, forgiveness is too weak of a concept for what he has done, and I doubt he will even ask for it.

Thoughts on dreams response?

so i read the 19 page paper and then watched dream’s response video. don’t really know what the discourse surrounding his response is bc ✨i don’t care enough to go purposefully looking for it ✨

my overall thoughts on the Entire Situation under the cut because i talk A Lot:

first and foremost, the math in the paper is Incredibly Thorough. dream gave the Abridged Version in his video bc i doubt most people read the entire thing. but if you read the paper, you’ll see the author point out what calculations the mods did wrong and, more importantly, why they were wrong and how they fixed it. you’ll also notice that they mentioned several times that the results the author calculated did match some of that of the mods’ calculations. we love reproducibility.

questioning the credibility of the author is a waste of time and energy. they’re Anonymous for a reason. imagine getting a fucking doctorate in statistics (an additional 4-8 years of study after college in the US) and your biggest paycheck of the year comes from some dude in florida who plays minecraft for a living. jokes aside, you can argue in circles about “oh dream bribed the expert” but the intentions of the author and purpose of the paper are clearly stated in the first couple pages. before all the math stuff. people were so quick to believe the stuff in the paper the volunteer mods put out. why not believe the expert too?

there is a greater lesson here to be learned about bias. both for and against dream. it was Incredibly Concerning to see So Many People immediately jump to “dream cheated 100%” or “dream would never cheat he’s the best” before understanding all of the facts. i’ll admit, even i fell into this trap before i took a step back from the situation to look at the big picture. we all have biases, many of which we aren’t even aware of. but it’s always important to recognize those biases and account for them as much as possible before drawing conclusions, especially those that have real world implications. it’s also important to listen to Experts and those who Know More Than You. sometimes you just have to shut up and listen. you’re not going to know everything and that is Fine as long as you are open to Learning from those with credibility and knowledge. you’re going to make mistakes and have opinions you’ll later look back on and *cringe* and all of that is fine because we are all Growing and Learning.

aight let’s talk about the mods. i’ve already like vented in the tags of a post from like 2 week ago and my point still stands. statistics is Very Difficult to Do and unfortunately is an Incredibly Powerful Tool. there is No Right Way to do stats. the data is unbiased but the analysis and interpretation of that data can be. once again, that’s why it’s important to account for your biases. the mods tried. i’ll give them credit, i really do believe they Tried. but unfortunately trying sometimes just isn’t Good Enough. statistics can be weaponized to push forward an agenda, whether or not the author intended it. i know that this is “just minecraft” and it only affects “one person” but inaccurate publications or misrepresentations of data have Real Life Consequences. one Disproven and publicly denounced paper had people Believing that vaccines cause autism, contributing to the antivax movement that is Once Again having an impact during coronatime. the point is, the mods should’ve consulted a professional. someone with credentials about their math. there is no doubt in my mind that they knew the fallout that was to come. the drama this would stir up. there was Obvious, Documented bias against dream from the beginning. i’m sure there were people who wanted to take him down at least a peg or two. but once again, that’s no excuse to publish this without consulting a Credible Expert. i’m going in circles now you get the point, academic integrity is Very Important. also News Outlets have reported on this, overall shedding a pretty negative light on the minecraft speedrunning community as a whole, which also harms the mods too in my opinion.

finally, let’s talk about dream. if you don’t like him, that’s fine. it’s Okay to Not Like Someone. to Stop Watching their content. to Stop Supporting Them. dream responded incredibly immaturely to this entire situation, as we have seen him do Multiple Times before. personally, i don’t believe the excuse “i acted without thinking and i’m sorry” cuts it anymore, given his 14M subscriber count and 1M+ twitter followers. he is a grown adult and should learn to conduct himself better publicly. i have friends his age and this behavior in a professional setting, which for him twitter is because social media/ content creator is quite literally his job, would be Completely Unacceptable. it’s perfectly valid to be angry and yell about it to his friends, hell i’d be Furious. but he should know better than to tweet impulsively. feel free to draw your own conclusions on him as a CC and public figure. please do. i know “cancel culture” has deviated from it’s Original Meaning (much like the term “stan” has too) but hold content creators accountable for their actions. do not blindly defend him. at the same time, acknowledge that he is a young adult who is still growing and learning. these two ideas can and should coexist. however, ***do not accept apologies that are not yours to accept***. shut up and listen to others who know more than you about a particular thing. think for yourselves. draw your own conclusions but always be willing to Grow if/when you Learn New Information.

the world is Complicated. i’m sorry. i wish it were easier too.

in conclusion, i can’t believe *this* is the first time i’ve used statistics knowledge outside of an academic setting and in the Real World. 2020 is fucking wack. if you’ve made it this far, thank you for coming to my incoherent ted talk. no one is going to read this whole thing and i’ve accepted that.

Okay wow, alright time for my silly thoughts on the new Tommy lore stream because wow that was a lot.

Spoilers for Tommy's lore stream on 3/12/2021. Know that at this point I have only really seen his perspective and heard about others so I'll only be talking on his character and his reactions.

This is going to be long so prepare yourself, and know I am talking solely about characters the entire time, not the cc's.

(I am also very open for discussion because I am so curious to hear others opinions :) )

My thoughts on Tommy & Dream

TW//Manipulation & Abuse

To start off, Tommy is free now. He got out of prison and is now physically free of Dream.

But he really isn't.

Dream still looms over everything he does, every action he takes paved in fear and trauma that he knows is there. I like to believe the theory that Dream is attached to Tommy, and in doing what he did and traumatizing him to this extent he has made himself irreplaceable in Tommy's mind. Even if that is in the way Tommy wants him dead(whether for the good of the server or just a personal vendetta).

Also this is shown in the trident scene once again.

The first time was in exile, Tommy whispering how he is "all Alone"

The second after Dream is put away, screaming "I'm Free!"

The third after he leaves Prison, trying to fly again and feel free, but only receiving pain as he lands hard.

This kid wont ever be free of Dreams influence until the man is dead, and probably not even that will stop him. Because the effects of trauma dont end after the abuser is dead.

I could go on for hours about their relationship now, but I'm going to stop before I get too rambly.

My thoughts on Tommy and Tubbo/Ranboo

Dear lord the children have just received more trauma.

To start this one, I don't feel as if Tommy's character feeling replaced is out of bounds or a bad storyline. Tommy has always been a bit possessive of Tubbo, his loyalty and devotion to him only escalated due to the end of the disc war.

He no longer had to choose between the peices of a past life he missed so dearly and his best friend standing in front of him.

But now he feels replaced, and that is totally valid response, especially for someone who has felt like people move on or forget him so quickly. Even though it felt like months to Tommy, it had only been about 3/4 days he was thought dead if we are going with irl time.

Also, while I wish the flower was more cared for, that is the result of being trapped with an abuser for a long period of time, dying and being brought back to life shattered. He probably didn't even realize the sentimental value, or incorrectly guessed the value in a moment of panic.

Because you put flowers on a grave, a casket, and everyone was exclaiming Tommy's death.

(Ranboo also has everything Tommy could have wanted at this point[Tubbo's friendship, respect and acknowledgment beyond anger, a decent relationship with Techno.] To Tommy's knowledge, Ranboo is happy.

Miscommunication is the big thing here, and truely talking it out will probably solve a lot of issues with how Tommy feels, so HOPEFULLY Tommy(well basically everybody) gets some therapy and can take those steps.

My thoughts on c!Tommy and c!Jack Manifold's.

TO PREFACE, I DON'T KNOW MUCH ON JACK (dont know jack about jack haha), I HAVEN'T WATCHED MANY OF HIS STREAMS.

But I don't see either side of the party in the right or wrong here. We're in that gray area most of the SMP sits in of, both characters acting out or not because of emotions unregulated.

Jack was angry Tommy was alive, saying he grieved even after all Tommy had done to him. He tried to visit in exile and Tommy forgot about him. He even brings up the nukes to kill him. He said Tommy should have stayed dead, and shouted about how the hotel should have been his. That Tommy is selfish and did nothing to deserve this.

Tommy shoots back with anger and frustration and desperation for Jack to see he has changed and bigger things are happening that he doesn't see. That he has changed in drastic ways because he DIED, but he interrupts and Jack takes it badly.

He says Tommy is making it all about him, "thinking he is all that" because he died. As if the server hadn't crafted him into the perfect soldier and perfect hero long ago and as if it isn't forcing him to play the role like a good little puppet.

Tommy is forced into the main characters role, but with all the consequences of a real leader. No plot armor can protect him, and Jack is a perfect example of that.

Anyways, this entire interaction was filled with terrible miscommunication and anger that hasn't been processed properly. Two parties that are hurting but not being heard out.

Therapy is definitely a must.

My thoughts on Tommy's character now.

PLEASE GET SOME THERAPY

Honestly this child just needs to catch a break. He keeps setting higher goals for himself to reach to distract him from what he has faced, but he can't do it anymore.

Tommy cannot be a child anymore, he is being forced into the adult role, the hero role, so aggressively that he was forced to continue his life to continue it.

Tommy has experienced Trauma after Trauma, and been made to keep walking.

It's never his time to die if you remember.

Tommy has suffered, and while he isn't a perfect character, while he is flawed, he hasn't deserved the lot his has been thrown. The cards he has been given.

Maybe that's why they play solitaire in the afterlife. You don't get to pick your cards there, only where you play them.

But he honestly just needs someone to help him, he needs a support system he can rely upon. He needs someone there to help him keep going.

At this point, it'll probably be Puffy.

My little thoughts for the continuing of Tommy

Just let him leave. Let him leave the main portion of the Dream SMP, alone or with Puffy(preferred). Let him just leave everything, forcibly taking himself from the story. Let him breath and not have to worry about the server's well being, or Dream or Wilbur.

Let him be the kid who has been traumatized but is getting help.

Therapy arc please??

Also I really hope Tommy and Techno become friends again. Or at least they dont hate each other(more Techno hating Tommy, because I dont think the sentiment is returned). I think I've included this in every post I've made, but their relationship makes me sad and I miss it :(

TLDR; Everyone needs therapy, even the therapist, and Dream is a terrible person.

Heya Ash!! Oof you're giving me a project lol thank you so much for the ask!!!

1. How big is your mods folder?

That is a really great question. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head, but it got to the point where I had to put all my mods on a thumb drive and only move them around as I need them because I'm computer was running so terribly. So I'd say it's a lot 😅.

2. How would you describe your style?

Uh, I would say very graphic novel type vibes. I'm a huge graphic novel buff and the story I'm actually working on I intended to be a graphic novel, but it really got away from me and is much too big for that now (not a brag, just my legitimate crack head antics) so when I got into Sims editing the thought was always to kind of keep the drawn/comicbook-y feel to it.

3. What is your favorite challenge?

Thus far it's been the stereotype challenge ! It was a lot of fun and I got to do it with four of my OCs who ended up fitting the criteria pretty well! I just think it came out really well both as an edit and as my OCs.

4. Do you make CC?

Aahahaahahahhaahahaah!!!!!! No. I tried to make poses one time! One singular time and it ended so poorly that I decided to swear off making anymore off my own CC for the distant future. Maybe I'll try it again, maybe I'm scarred for life, only time can tell!

5. What type of CC do you hoard?

I had answered this one before, but I FUCKING LOVE POSES!!!! And like I said I didn't have the best experience making my own so I prefer to use downloaded ones. But I never really clean out my poses in case I need them for something else! So my pose folder is astronomical at this point.

6. What default eyes and skin do you use?

You know.... This really is a question I should have the answer to but I'm totally drawing a blank right now so I'll go ahead and put a link to the eyes here and the skin here when I can look it up! ✌

7. How many URLs have you had, and what are the meanings behind them?

On this blog I've only had the one? And I feel like it's pretty self explanatory, I love Morgyn because 1.) They're the absolute best 2.) Untamed magic? Yes ma'am! 3.) They're gender fluid / nonbinary like me!! And 4.) They're an absolute snack!!!! So it was a perfect fit for me.

8. Who is your favorite gameplay blog?

Why would you do me like this??????? I can't choose!!! I love them all and I'm friends with all of them because they're absolutely amazing people that I love so much!!! I don't have a favorite! 🥺

I don't really want to answer this one either 😭 but I think the only person I know that makes CC is the awesome @barbieaiden they made a really kick ass emo glove CC that I absolutely love and you should check out. (Sorry if the rest of you make CC I'm sure I've probably seen it, probably even downloaded and reblogged, but this is all I can think if right now 💜) Also my go to for all pose stuff is the glorious @katverse they do incredible poses for pretty much anything you could think up, highly recommend.

11. How do you edit you photos?

This is certainly going to get a few gasps, but I make all of my edits on my phone!!!!! I use just a basic free photo editor app and kind of bend it to my will to get what I want out of it! I'm really bad at figuring out stuff like Photoshop and I'm not willing to pay the expensive price when I can do it and get just as good as a result as I want from something free easy and portable.

Once again it has to do with an edit I'm working on so here's the last one I put up if you're interested.

13. What do you do when you are unmotivated?

Honestly, this! Editing and the Sims are my escape from the real world. It helps me when I'm having a hard time with my anxiety because it gives me control over something, it helps me a lot with writer's block I can't tell you how my stories have been inspired because of it. But I guess if I'm bored in the game I usually just start a new save or play another game for a bit, I always come back after like a day though! To be fair I haven't been doing this long enough to feel unmotivated yet, maybe we should revisit this when I've been doing this longer than two months 😅

14. Who is your current favorite Sim?

Ugh!!! As you guys have found out about me I don't like to play favorites......... But if I had to say maybe my OC Parker's Sim, he just came out perfectly and is just spot on.

15. Who is your current favorite Sims that isn't yours?

Guidry!!!! He's frickin' hilarious and just so great. I honestly didn't expect them to put as much into him as they did but I'm glad they did!!! He's the best!! He's no Morgyn, but he's pretty great too.

16. Recreate someone else's Sim in your style.

So this sounds like a lot of fun! But I really don't want to change anyone else's Sim, I know how much we all put into them and they're basically like our babies. They mean a lot, so unless I get explicit consent from someone saying I can use their Sim in my style I'm going to pass out of respect this time.

17. Do you talk about the Sims with people in your life?

Yes! One of my really close friends is the whole reason I'm into editing and mods and stuff! She showed me everything I know and is totally awesome for that. (@jennifermakesstuff on Instagram, go check out she's absolutely amazing and a crocheting god, go do it)

18. How many packs do you own?

.......... I don't want to answer this..... It's honestly a problem..... But I have them all.... Minus the star wars one I just I cannot bring myself to get it, it just looks terrible. But yeah I collect the packs and it's a problem 😅 but if you need advice on what pack to get next I'm your person!

19. How many posts do you have on your blog currently?

Too many. But they're all like ask games and stuff for my OCs so yup!

Okay yes, but not intentionally but I've moved three times? I had a blog for when I first started on tumblr it was for music stuff but I forgot to pass code to it so now it's just there, the other one I had was for my art & make up stuff but it wasn't doing good at all so I just turned it into my personal blog, and then from there I moved to this one! 24. What are your thoughts on the most recent pack? (Paranormal)

I like it! It added more to the gameplay than past packs have, but I always felt it left something to be desired in the way of CAS and build mode. Spoilers starting here if you care: Also it would've been cool if you could have had more interactions with Temperance like you can with Guidry, and if the specters did more that would be cool too. Either way I think it's good, I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking for the game experience, but it is fun.

25. How many hours have you played the Sims?

Let's find out 3,215 hours 😅 that's board line a problem hahaha if my math is right (it probably isn't because I'm gay and bad at math) that's a hundred and thirty three days straight? Jesus I might need help lol.

I used to! But I play on a regular laptop so it can't really run gameplay mods unfortunately so unless I'm doing edits my game is vanilla.

So I'm really bad at challenges! My favorite lately has been rags to riches it's a lot of fun but I always get bored after they get married and pregnant :/ I never know what to do after that because like the challenge is over but I'm so invested in these Sims 😅

Hey everyone :)

Happy New Year to you all. I hope this year will bring to you the changes you need to feel better . 2020 has been hard for everyone so I really hope that you’re all okay. As usual, here’s a little update about this blog and life below.

Blog update : Surprise everyone ! This blog is finally way more accessible. I didn’t thought I would made it but I’m glad to officially announce you that you can now found everything you’re looking for just by clicking on the right page.

My stories, CC and other stories I like and read here have now their own page so you can find everything easily.

Concerning the content to come I decided to mainly focus on Destiny Harbour for now and I don’t want to create cc anymore, or at least share them. I just feel like my cc aren’t good enough and that I kind of lost an amount of time for nothing so I decided to focus on writing. I tried Blender several times this year but my computer just doesn’t want to run it correctly so I dropped ^^ I prefer to focus on something else than spending my time trying to do something I don’t really even like to do. Anyway, with that in mind I think Destiny Harbour should go well until the end (at least if I manage to get the packs I need for the future of the story).

Season 1 is ending soon with the 3 last episodes coming very soon. I already took a lot of screenshots for episode 8 and I’ve planned to work on it next week. Maybe I will share other stories if I feel the need to but for now I think Destiny is getting better so I want to really focus on it. I hope that you’re enjoying this story as well as I do and I also want to thank you all of you dear readers for the support and comments you’ve given me last year. Without you, I would have probably dropped everything and stopped writing.

Life update : Oh boy, where do I start ? 2020 huh ? What a roller coaster ! Like a lot of you, last year has also been tough and full of unwanted surprises but I managed to focus on the good and actual facts rather than the bad facts and it helped me to not drown too much I guess. The end of the year was hard but thanks to some people here and on Discord I managed to stay safe and optimistic and I really want to thank you all for that. When you can see things differently it helps. For the people on the server I’m in, I decided to take a break from there until I don’t know when because I felt like spending my days on Tumblr and Discord without even interacting and I didn’t like that at all so I prefer focus on Tumblr mainly, discord will be to reach out with people I like there. No hard feeling at all, I just need to see something else than sims and manga all day long ^^

I also realized last month that I didn’t enjoy actually playing The Sims, simply because I don’t have all packs I think and that frustrated me a bit, especially because I received new games that aren’t especially long but way more fun and beautifull than the sims who’s the most expensive game I have and will ever bought >< That also made me realized that I downloaded way to much cc in order to fullfill the void this game can be .I mean, have you seen the little Paralives videos? This game is far away from being finished but it looks already way more fun than the sims 4 unfortunatly, mainly because of little details that make all the difference. Also, I’m playing the South Park game and I was so surprised to discover that we can actually create a deeper character than a sims (The characters edition page is really amazing, you can even create an official pansexual trans if you want and the plot even consideres your choice ...) So I guess this game has become a bit like an editing software for my stories now ^^” I guess it’s time for me to stop downloading a lot of cc just because “I might need it one day and I like the creator” and focus on what I’ll do with the ones I already have. If you’re a cc creator and need a tester though, I’ll be super happy to help you if you need any feedbacks or testing session.

messy tldw on the current meta. this is just first thoughts and i havent reviewed vods yet so i cant go over the interactions in detail.

the base comp is sigma/ball, echo/tracer/ashe/sometimes mccree, zen/brig/mercy. orisa/sigma is also sometimes played but is only viable in limited situations

this comp is not dive so much as it is spam. the backline is too tanky to make diving useful, so it usually comes down to breaking sigma shield and forcing his cooldowns

theoretically a rush comp could mess with them, but after losing one fight it would be pretty easy to play around it (+ rein sucks). double shield has its moments on certain maps but losing one fight w/ it makes it hard to ever set back up and makes it hard to get value out of the dps that r strong rn

more in depth stuff under the cut

why ball/sigma is played

ball is the foundation of this comp. his speed, shield, disruption, and area denial w/ mines means he can literally spin circles around the other main tanks. winston has less of a capacity to survive cc than him and rein just is bad bc shatter sucks, limited mobility, he cant do anything when shielding, etc. orisa IS sometimes viable as a counter bc of fortify and supercharger, but she has no mobility and running anything but sigma with her is ineffective. hog/zarya doesnt work either but ill get to that later

its sorta a chicken or egg type thing but to me the rest of this comp is focused around denying the enemy ball value/capitalizing on your ball’s value. for this reason, sigma is the other tank paired with ball. his rock is a useful bit of cc, his shield can block burst and piledrive damage and destroy mines, and his grasp helps defend his supports from burst damage. his ultimate is also very good at isolating targets for a kill and also gives him high ground

none of the other main tanks are able to do everything that sigma does. winston can’t protect the backline and can’t poke at enemy shields, rein is bad, and orisa could protect her backline but this comp also focuses around shield break a lot so it’s easy to force her cooldowns and kill her

zarya isn’t played because she’s basically a free kill once her bubbles are used, she doesn’t have as much survivability as sigma does and she’s unable to do damage as she can’t get close enough to the other team’s backline to be effective. her ult is just worse flux specifically bc it doesnt give her high ground and it takes eons to charge. hog has good survivability, but can’t protect his backline during a push. hooking anything vs this comp would be very hard. his ult is comparatively shitty area control and he’s pretty helpless during it so he does fast. dva gets chewed up pretty fast by the dps and again this comp is very tanky so she can’t get much value out of dives. in terms of defending the backline, she’s just worse sigma. she might be playable on certain maps with lots of high ground, but i wouldn’t risk it.

the mobility + burst dmg of the dps mean that hog/zarya isn’t viable anymore bc they just get burst down so fast, and neither of their ults/abilities do much compared to ball/sigma bc the comp is so spread out. also neither of them are able to protect the supports at all

runaway tried zarya/sigma for like 2 minutes and it sucked because they dont really have a frontline in this case and neither can begin an engage vs a dive

why tracer/echo/ashe is played

what makes dps strong in this meta is their ability to counter and synergize with ball. dps have to be able to chase him down, deal enough damage to force him away, and have the mobility to quickly switch targets to the enemy backline as soon as the ball is forced back. they also can’t be dps that he can feasibly 1v1. in terms of synergy, ball’s disruption makes for quick picks on out of position heroes, which means you need a LOT of focused damage, speed, and (vertical) mobility. on those qualifiers, widow, reaper, hanzo, junkrat, and doom are out. sombra and reaper can’t easily get assassinations so theyre out as well. sym torb and mei output a lot of damage and counter ball, but have no mobility and generally don’t synergize well with ball. bastion is (imo) always debatably playable in some kinda weird bunker setup, but usually not worth the risk and only works on certain maps

out of the heroes we’re left with (ashe, echo, genji, mccree, pharah, s76, and tracer), echo ashe tracer and mccree emerge as just. better versions of the others. echo has great mobility and her beam is essential for dealing w/ ball and enemy shields. her ult also fucks. pharah is just a worse version of her and can’t get as much value. tracer has a lot of survivability and mobility, and her kit allows her to get quick picks by sheer spam and force ults. genji has mobility but can’t survive as well as tracer and you have to invest a lot more into making his ult get value. ashe outputs a lot of damage, charges her ult fast w/ dynamite, and also has vertical mobility with her coach gun. her ult is good for area control. mccree is more or less the same, but you trade mobility for cc and slightly more tankiness. s76 has none of those and just sucks

i’ve only seen the cree played in APAC a bit as a replacement for the tracer, i think to give more stability to the backline and to make it easier to handle the echo. that feels more like a playstyle thing than anything else.

the sigma pick is mostly a reaction to these dps. echo absolutely chews up tanks (minus sigma), and sigma can eat pulse and echo right click on top of having a shield + cc so hes kinda a must pick

tracer/echo is the most common duo, with tracer/ashe, ashe/echo, mccree/echo, and ashe/mccree being played on certain maps/by certain teams. NA/EU hasnt played anything with mccree so far. i dont have a complete handle on how they stack up yet but i think i like mccree/echo and tracer/echo best so far

you Could try to run a more divey dps duo i guess, but that’s more easily counterable than sticking with meta

why zen/brig/mercy is played

lucio and moira can’t be played because they have extremely limited range. dive is easily countered right now, so your backline isn’t going to have any easy escapes. zen is the most played support in this comp bc he does tons of damage to shields + discord is great for quick kills (havent made specific notes of it but itll be interesting to see where his harmony/discord usually go). trance is good for surviving flux + surviving spam in general. ana has more heals, but less value bc her nade is pretty easily blocked/eaten and bc nano is single target

brig + mercy are viable in different situations. brig is still sorta tanky + can defend against ball w/ cc and has rally as a backup while also doing pretty good heals. mercy is played on maps with good vertical mobility, usually alongside the ashe. balls have to play more carefully in that circumstance to not die. mercy also allows for echo to go hyper aggro, + valk is a good tempo ult. im not sure which i prefer, and id need to vod review to look at the interactions in detail

misc notes/interactions off the top of my head

echo and tracer end up chasing the ball off a lot and/or killing him, especially w/ beam. ball has to play REALLY careful in this comp and will still take a lot of damage regardless. ults charge fast

tracers duel each other sometimes, but i dont think ive seen many echo fights

echo beam also is good against sigma shield and uses her right click to force grasp so tracer can pulse (ive seen that like once but i think its happening more than that)

in this meta piledriving as ball into more than one target can be a death sentence. jihun did this a lot and was punished harshly for it, but his team also was always Right There when he did (kalios shielded right in front of him so he’d take less damage), but i think it just ended up burning more cooldowns than getting value

individual teams are centering different players, and running different dps/supports to do so. i don’t think there’s an optimal playstyle when it comes to revolving around different dps and that its based on player comfort. the one thing you absolutely should not do is make your ball the playmaker cough cough abang cough

if i have to see one more team pull out the genji i’m gonna scream

Hi. I monetize my traffic by placing Google Adsense ads on my blog. Those do not pop-up, are safe and based on the visitor’s search history and location. This is how most websites make money these days. In the past they would give out accs to just about anyone, but these days they are more strict about it. Most cc creators might have to put a bit of money (optionally, around 6-9$) and time to get approved. The requirements are the following:

Very long post ahead

1). Top-level domain (com, net, org, etc, so mauvemorn.net, not mauvemorn.tumblr.com).

Alternatively, you can get an acc on Blogger without having to buy a domain, it is owned by Google. It’s best to have a SSL certificate, too (additional security measure that turns http into https, Google is said to prioritize websites that have it, Tumblr does not allow to edit themes that have links that start with http). If you’re buying your domain for Tumbr, there’s no need to buy SSL. Tumblr offers their own. You just need to wait for a day or so for it to change. If you’re buying it for another website that does not offer this feature, it’s best to buy it in the process of buying a domain. I remember Namecheap offering me it for 2$, but after I bought a domain, SSL started to cost 8$. Make sure to google for a discount!! I saved 3$ this way lmao.

2). Unique written content.

This will be the most important and challenging thing to get for a cc creator, i will give suggestions in the end. The exact number of words and text posts is not voiced anywhere in google documentation, but people say you should have at least 10-12 text posts that have at least 800 words each. When I applied, I had around 50 posts, 14 (if I’m not mistaken) of which were text posts with the word count above 1200. Almost all of them were posted in a row, like, not scattered across my blog. You should also check the grammar, it does not have to be perfect, just no random typos.

And by “unique” I mean it should not be copy-pasted from anywhere, should be written by you. The software will scan everything available to it to check if your written content is not plagiarized. Do not use copyright protected images either.

3). Privacy policy, About, Contact us, Disclaimer.

Privacy policy basically warns your visitors that the website is collecting some of their data. You can rephrase mine, just make sure to do it more-or-less thoroughly so that google does not count it as copy-pasted.

Disclaimer is the same thing but shorter. You know the window that pops-up when you enter a new website telling you something about cookies? That’s it. It does not have to pop-up though. Just make a new page and put it somewhere.

About is, well, put whatever you want there.

Things that may or may not be important, depending on who you ask

1). The blog must be active. Post something after you apply.

Once you apply, the window will tell you you’ll get a reply after 24 hours. I received it on 18th day, coincidently or not right after I posted something. The long wait may also be a matter of the platform I chose (Tumblr is not a SEO friendly website, but it is the best for this type of content since it has large the sims fandom).

2). Traffic.

Some people say it matters, other say it does not. Before applying, I didn’t post any cc in months, so my traffic was very low, around 200-300 page views per day. If your website is new and you get no traffic at all, you can install vpn and just open all of your pages from each country available until you get at least 200 pageviews. I think it does not matter though, but, again, I do not know for a fact.

3). SEO

So as I mentioned, Tumblr is a very bad choice of the platform SEO-wise, does not work well with search engines, but most people do not actually look for cc this way. Most of my traffic is direct (from simsdom and similar websites). However, you can improve your tumblr performance (…i think) by tying it to Google search console and submitting site maps. I don’t know much about it tbh, but you can do it just in case.

4). Website appearance

You want your website to be simple, no red text on a yellow background or something as dramatic, no micro font, no pop-ups or effects, no music that can be copyrighted, etc.

5). Your blog’s age

In some countries ( India, China) a blog must be older than 6 months to get approved. However, I’ve seen people from India say they got it for 2 weeks old blogs, so just…try and see it for yourself.

Once you get approved:

1). Tie your website to Google analytics.

It can help you understand where your traffic comes from, what posts get the most of it, etc.

2). PUT DOWNLOAD LINKS UNDER THE CUT ( like, Read more thing ) LIKE I DO. Not only does it drive traffic to your page instead of someone who reblogged it, BUT ALSO ENSURES PEOPLE DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION OF THE PACKAGE. There’s always a possibility of you missing something and having to update the file.

3). Be considerate.

Do not use link-shortening websites. They give people viruses. Many would just not download from you if they know you’re using it. MAKE SURE TO SPECIFY THE LINK IS DIRECT OR HAS NO ADF.LY. These websites bring very little money, so you won’t lose much.

Upload you cc on google drive and generate direct links this way. Websites like Mediafire with their pop-up windows can be annoying.

Do not make content that is very high-poly. I do not go past 10k unless I absolutely have to (and when I do, I mention it in the description). If your 60k item will crush someone’s game, they will not download from you again.

Do not half-ass your cc. If there is a problem, post it in Creator’s help and someone will assist you. If your cc does not morph, people would not want to use it. If your cc distorts, people would not want to use it. If your mesh greatly slows down game or crushes it, people would not want to use it.

Do not make content that is very simple or very complex. No one needs 5653467 simple white t-shirts or CK bras in their CAS. Not many people would need some avant-garde shoes in theirs either. For example, my simple Zoe pumps have 25k page views, while the last DVN sandals have 207k. That’s ~40$ against ~345$. Clearly the last took longer to make but it was worth it.

3). Some say that the post shows up only in the first 5 tags used. I think Tumblr fixed it but just in case put the most commonly used tags first.

4). If you started a completely new Tumblr, your posts will not appear in the tags (anti-bot measure). So the best way to be noticed is to contact some cc finds type of blogs. Once simsdom starts to post your cc, you will no longer need to worry about search results or your following, as I said, most of my traffic comes from them.

5). The more ads you have per page, the more money they will bring you. However, when you put a lot of them, it affects the page loading speed, usually by seconds, but if a person has a very slow internet, it can be much longer. So I suggest you to not use these whatever they are that make people wait for a minute to access a download link because they use an adblock. Most people do not use them and you will make a lot of money regardless so long your cc is decent.

6). Ad size will affect your revenue, too. Choose the most popular ones not locally, but in general. Most of your traffic will come from USA, UK, South Korea, Brazil, Russia, so, again, better not to choose ad size by region.

7). Preview. If you do not know how to make previews in the 3d software of your choice, I strongly advise you to learn. Not only will it be much easier, but you will also give a better idea of what textures really look like without graphic card coming into play. However, do not overdo it. Do not play too much with lights or specular, this will give people the wrong impression of what your cc is really like. As for picture editing, you can change the skin, background, anything, but NEVER EDIT THE OUTFIT/SHOES/ACCESSORIES/WHATEVER YOU’VE MADE ITSELF. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING. When I download something that looks good in previews but significantly worse in-game, I do not download from that creator anymore and neither will many people.

8). Specify if previews are made with HQ textures or not.

Just a warning. Once your earning surpass 10$, google will send you a pin code. It can take 2-4 weeks for it to be delivered to your address by post. You need it to be able to withdraw money. Your earning must surpass 100$ per month for you to actually withdraw them. But you will actually receive them 22 days later. So, say, by the 1 of November I know how much I will receive for October, but I actually receive this sum on the 22nd of November….yeah.

As for how much money to expect. 60k pageviews bring me around 100$. The click on ads is what actually brings the most money, but for the love of everything, do not click on them yourself or ask people to do it, do not buy traffic, you will be banned.

About text post suggestions:

1). In my case they were tutorials, but PLEASE if you’re new or do not understand why certain things need to be done, DO NOT MAKE TUTORIALS. When I began making cc, I was happy with anything, but as I started to moderate Creators help, I also started to wish some people would just not make them. Newbies keep making the same mistakes, keep having no idea why they are doing what they’re doing, keep being discouraged and confused. The more tutorials with no explanation there is, the less chances a person will find the right one. I understand that one cannot know everything and there is very little official info on these matters, but please, if you are not confident in your knowledge, if you only know how but not why, if you do not have time to properly explain something, do not make tutorials before educating yourself or making time for it.

2). If you have been around for a while now, you can groups all of your asks into new text posts by topics. Make sure to copy-paste the questions, check for typos, hide it under the cut to not make your followers scroll endlessly, and delete or hide the original asks. I DO NOT PROMISE IT WILL WORK but it should.

3). If you started a new blog I THINK BUT I DO NOT GUARANTEE you can make those 10+ about anything, post them one or two per day, apply, get approved, then just delete or hide them and start posting your cc. Again, I do not guarantee this will work, but logically it should and nothing of it goes against the rules. Simsdom, simfileshare and many websites without any text posts continue to have these accounts, so nothing should happen to yours.

What’s this, a second replies post in less than a week? Well, yeah. I just wanted to talk. I always want to talk, actually. Which is why I’m always reblogging ask games and stuff. I’m also not opposed to talking in private messages, though I must warn you, I’m pretty anxious and...even though I want to talk, sometimes I just don’t reply, especially if you just drop in with hi and not much else. I do bad with these kind of messages. I know, that makes no sense and it’s terrible and I hate when people ignore me that way too. But it’s like there’s this barrier that doesn’t let me do a simple thing. Because I’m an anxious mess and don’t actually know how to talk. I’m also weird but we all know that already.

Wow, those might be the reasons why I can’t keep a conversation with anyone. 🤔

On another note...I tried to play NSB this week and came to conclusion that 1) my laptop hates TS4 and 2) I have too much CC. The entire system froze. I’ll have to clean out my Mods folder, I’ve always tried to keep it at 1 GB, now it’s almost 3 GB. I guess I’ll also lower the graphic settings, even though that kinda breaks my heart because I like when my game looks pretty. Oh well. I have to sacrifice something.

How I’ll end up throwing away 2 GB of CC is a mystery to me though.

Relatable.. Life is lonely most of the time. My best friends at the moment are my almost two year old daughter (who speaks gibberish), my kitty and something that most people call boyfriend but really looks more like part of the sofa.. I'm from Finland and we talk about the weather most of the time. So, how is the weather there?

The weather was surprisingly cold today! Mum said it even snowed in the morning, but I was asleep so I didn’t see that.

Yeah, life gets lonely sometimes...it got better for me irl though, so I’m not complaining that much about that part. I didn’t have any friends in middle school. I have one really close friend now. Still, from another point of view, my life is still pretty lonely. 😅

Feeling lonely on simblr...this feeling comes in waves for me, I’d say. Usually it gets worse when I’m waiting for someone to reply back to a long message (and boy, do I send long messages often - it’s like letters). I tend to overthink things, so all sorts of scenarios go through my head in that case - they don’t have time, but wait, I’ve seen them around, reblogging things and commenting on posts by other people, so does that mean they’re ignoring me? Do they not want to talk anymore? If so, why don’t they just tell me to stop bothering them? Have they ever actually liked me or did they just talk to me because they didn’t want me to feel bad? Wait, I said *that* to them, maybe they hate me now...and I could go on and on.

I suck at explaining myself. But there's a special something to them, a sense of tranquility, peacefulness. But also deep longing. I really really like them. I particularly DIG, the role Nezumi played in Shion’s character development.

I am not korean haha, but music is about more than understanding. It is about the feelings it vibes you get from it and the moods it puts you in. People love screamo music even though it is hard to understand, and music like instrumentals and dubstep heavy are just… what the music makes you feel. I listen to ‘normal’ pop, kpop, instrumentals, artists like grimes that mumble their songs a lot with production heavy stuff. I think that as long as the music is something you enjoy, you shouldn’t be judged for liking it. I know you aren’t trying to be rude with this ask so don’t think I am attacking you please! I am just trying to give you some insight into why different music interests people :)
