tries to be a pusher and to be consistent (he thinks that’s the most annoying style to play against so he tries to copy it) but his mind wanders in the middle of long points and he does something dumb or just misses like 5 feet deep. he still manages to win a lottt of his matches cuz he gets everythingggg back no matter where you hit it — he’s just a little dumb sometimes! he smashed a racket once and he felt so guilty he literally cried and threw up and he’s never done it since

serves and volleys every damn point. even on second serves. his volleys are insane and sometimes he just toys with his opponents by drop-shotting and then lobbing them so they have to run to the baseline and back. when he’s returning he hangs in the rally for like two balls max and then he finds a way to sneak in and make you miserable. his problem is that he always tries to go for the flashiest drop shot and he just misses it in the net lol. he smashes his racket from time to time but he normally just tries to act like he doesn’t care

darry:

his tennis iq is literally insane like he knows exactly what to do when. he likes to hit heavy spin but the point doesn’t even start half the time bc his serve is so good and basically unreturnable. his backhand sucks tho so he needs to run around everything. if you hit to his backhand just expect a short ball or a slice. he’s never smashed a racket self control king! he swears like a sailor every time he misses though

he just slaps everything that comes to him. it’s out like 60% of the time but if it goes in you’re cooked like there’s no possible way to get that back. he’s so inconsistent though and he rages HARD like smashes his racket and everything

I’m assuming this is about the rot au! I recently added SOS to it, so this was a perfect ask!!

Sliver is local group Senior of a nearby cluster of iterators, which includes Chasing Wind. She never got along with Sig in general, and Moon was on thin ice. Now? She’s fucking PISSED. More below the cut bc this is gonna get LONG (also a transcript in case my handwriting is illegible).

So because the ancients are still alive during the rot au, Sliver hasn’t died yet. She is one of the youngest local group Seniors, one of the first of the mid gen Iterators, (her arm design matches Sig and Wind’s!) so she feels like she has to prove herself to the others. She takes her purpose and duties VERY seriously, so I put Wind in her Group, because his intense personality in relation to his citizens matches more to how Sliver would mentor someone, rather than Moon or Suns. Speaking OF Moon, they have a very tense relationship. Moon is a lot more laid back with her Group because when her personality cores were still stabilizing, her citizens treated her more like an accomplishment, an amazing feat, her construction was met with jubilation! Meanwhile, by the time Sliver was built, she was just another iterator, and meant to work like she was supposed to. Of course there was celebration, but her citizens treated her more as a means to an end, so she picked up on this and integrated it into her personality. When she was first put online, she did idolize Moon quite a bit, but eventually came to see her as a kinda shitty leader and too soft on her local group, especially Sig. She refers to Moon as Sig’s “handler” because she thinks he acts incredibly immaturely, and Moon is the one who has to yank his leash any time he gets a bit too annoying (though she doesn’t do a very good job, in Sliver’s opinion).

Sliver does not like Sig. Never has, and this shit has pushed her over the edge. She is incredibly aware of the intense political ramifications Sig and Pebbles’ actions have caused, and as local group Senior, she feels it is her responsibility to calm her group down and prevent them from getting hurt. She knows certain factions of citizens want to literally kill their iterators thanks to this, and if one of her group died she would see it as a MASSIVE failure on her part. She thinks it would make everyone think that she is an incompetent leader. In terms of her relationship with Pebbles, she still didn’t like him before, but she at least respected the fact he actually had a drive to solve the great problem, unlike Sig. Now she blames him for this mess as well, and is just as pissed at him.

As the news of this unfortunate development spreads, many workgroups are created, all with different goals. Some want to find a cure for the rot, to help calm Sig and Pebbles back down and hopefully repair their relationships with their citizens. Others are considering joining them, terrified of their citizens’ reactions and confiding in one another about what they should do. Sliver wants them dead. She is in a small workgroup that is attempting to find a way to straight up deactivate Sig and Pebbles to restore order. The problem is, she is not their senior and has no seniority privileges over them, so she has to figure out a way to take matters into her own hands.

Wind…Wind is Sig’s best friend. He is barely 50 cycles older than her, and despite Sliver’s VEHEMENT disapproval, they are very close. He plays video games with Sig and rants about his citizens being annoying, he actually drops his stoic personality around him and can chill out for a little while. However, despite the fact that he demands his citizen’s respect and is practically a dictator over his city, he is terrified of them. So, he took initiative when he was put online and scared THEM into submission before they had the chance to. Now? He’s even more afraid. He thinks his citizens will take the first opportunity to deactivate him in a form of rebellion. At first, he’s part of workgroups to try to find a cure, but eventually joins a few groups that are considering joining Sig and Pebbles. As the rot gets worse and he watches Sig’s personality get more and more corrupted, he realizes there’s no way to cure this in time, and…that’s a spoiler I might keep to myself for now >:3€

Might delete later, I probably shouldn’t have even posted it to begin with.

Got yelled at by my parents again for not coming downstairs when they called me bc I was asleep. Not unusual but I at least hoped they would be fine with me taking a single nap since it’s the last day of school. Guess not and the offense is even worse bc I “have all summer”. Now they’re gonna force me to be up early every day and I don’t get to sleep in, which I desperately need with my fucked up sleep schedule being concentrated mainly in the mornings.

Not the worst thing to happen to me or anyone by far, I get it. Still annoying but eh.

What really bothers me is how they keep constantly comparing me to my aunt as soon as I leave— like I left for the guest bathroom today, which keep in mind they know damn well is literally within earshot of where they were in the dining room/kitchen. Especially my mother, loudly talking abt how I keep resembling her sister more and more every day and she doesn’t want to deal with it for 4 years. Like me being similar to her is this horrible thing.

Saying how I constantly whine and complain and say I’m “Always tired” when I’ve done nothing to warrant exhaustion. Saying I talk like my issues are the biggest problems in the world and angsty shit like “no one ever understands me or my problems” or whatever. Just stuff along those lines. That I never take responsibility and I’m careless for others and no one else’s issues matter more than mine. Saying I’m always “oh woe is me” and pitying myself constantly.

And I hate hearing them. Because my stupid inner voice is constantly telling me these things anyway. Yelling and sneaking in comments to me 24/7 with almost everything I say or do. Someone else’s problems always matter more than mine. I shouldn’t be upset because someone else always has it worse. Be grateful. You’re being selfish. Take responsibility because it’s all your fault anyway. At this point I even feel guilty just writing this because why should I? What, is inner monologue not enough for your self-centered ass? You have to type it out? This is just more pitying myself and I don’t fucking deserve it. And I don’t know why I’m still writing.

I’m just tired, I can’t help it. I’m exhausted no matter what and I hardly ever feel rested or fully at peace. My room reflects the mess I am and that just gets me in more trouble with my parents. I just try not to say anything anymore now. And I hate how I feel like I make things about myself constantly. I don’t want to be all “woe is me” like my parents claim I am. I just want to be done.

I came home today feeling great about the last day, happy to have shared a surprisingly great year with my wonderful loving partner and amazing friends. We even made a candy salad together, a tradition every year on the last day. Recreating funny videos from the first go around, and this time it was a salad twice as big with twice as many close friends. Celebrating how far we’d come and how we’re actually looking forward to the future. Feeling like I had grown and I was the same stupid kid I was before.

And then I went home. Took a nap because I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore and I wake up in the same hellish routine with my parents. And it’s all my fault.

New clothes, new hair, new and old long-lasting friends, fantastic partner. Yet I’m back to square one, because I’m still the exact same stupid kid in my parents’ eyes, as well as my own again.

I just want to feel like I can be the kid they want and deserve. I don’t know why I keep constantly butting heads with them and going against what they want. Surely they deserve someone like my best friend E, who has perfect grades and is responsible and sunshine & rainbows and gets along amazingly with my parents. So much so that every time she’s over they joke over and over how they wish they could swap. I just want them to have someone who isn’t this selfish, cold-hearted mess, who pisses them off constantly and is a horrible person to their brother. Someone who meets their expectations— just someone better.

There’s this strange sentiment that I’ve seen from the audience on mainly the subreddit (the cesspool I know 🥴🤷🏾‍♀️😭) and what why say about certain characters and how they perceive them. And I find the logic flawed and weird.

For some reason 👀 they pretty much “uplift” for lack of a better or almost excuse one characters more consistent and horrible treatment as “well they are upfront and you know who they are” vs “this other character is pretending or fake, and that’s the worst kind of person”.

But not the person who has been harmful….or insulting…since day one? Okay…

And I take it as the latter are not allowed to exist and can’t possibly be as multi dimensional vs their counterparts. Instead, nope they HAVE to be a liar and fake and that’s worst.

Which is…just strange.

I can at least scream this in a void and not be harassed or gaslit as if I’m always making this a race issues. Bc believe me as long as I’ve been playing, I realize it will always happen but damn it just hits harder this time around bc I feel like the black characters can relatively do minimal damage and they still find a way to twist it to them being public enemy number one.

And all it is, is “moving the goalposts” or just the upholding black characters to different higher standards.

And I’m sorry, I’m a black woman, I’m gonna always look at media with my own lens and is not always about intention. It’s still a matter of there’s bias that some have subconsciously that make it easier for you to perceive these characters a certain way.

Like with THTH, I have no problem being upset with Julian bc of his hypocrisy with spending the fund. That’s fine, I get.

But even before that, the something about him I can’t stand or his just so annoying (given) but it’s like, they latch onto one like thing and just salivate at the chance to pounce of the character when they do something “inherently” wrong. And then that’s all the are. Or they aren’t allowed to be more than just that.

But before Sean’s small moments of backstory are revealed if you even earn it, you got people talking about, “clearly he has Been through something, I can /want to fix him”.

But Julian has been adhering to Sean’s relentless attacks and bullying and when he gives it just as bad back. (Whether it’s right or wrong, that’s a consequence Julian should have to pay for. Just like Sean, however Sean hasn’t been held accountable for.) Or for his incessant spending, there’s no curiosity to his own trauma or why he is this way. No he isn’t afforded that empathy. And it’s literally just crazy.

And now we are seeing them slowly shift their sites for Gigi. And blame this black woman for the actions of two GROWN ASS men.

Why didn’t she get in between two grown ass men? Why didn’t she do more? Why is she not sticking up for Sean during this moment of vulnerability? Why is she not coddling Sean’s irrational insecurities or taking iniatice and controlling Julian’s crush on her. Why hasn’t she spoke up for her said, friend.

Like with her not telling Sean not to speak or treat Julian a certain way, at first I fell into a trap of, damn she ain’t being that great of a friend to let your man talk to your friend any kind of way but then I realize, she’s in the middle of her journey. She will get to that realization. But at this time in her plot or arc, she doesn’t see it.

And that’s the gag, we allow characters like Sean to maneuver their arcs and journeys and give boosters and understanding to their redemptions. (Which I’m firmly believe he is written to not have one. Just like Justin or even non romanced Antoine in S2. The realize too little too late)

But Gigi and Julian, nope. No grace, no wiggle room, and they are no dimension. And it’s just funny to watch over and over.

-“Baby?” He asked.

-“Mm? You want to try mine?” You hand him the colourful cone you had.

-He ignored the offer, and didn’t meet your eyes when he asked, “Why aren’t you comfortable enough with me to have our own handshake?” He said really calmly, but like really sadly, too. 

-You were pretty shocked at his remark, “B…” Your eyes darted around, always a little panicky when he gets vulnerable (because it makes you happy and you don’t want to ruin it), “we have a special handshake, I promise.”

-Billy’s eyebrows scrunched, and you stop next to the mall’s wall, “The fuck d’you mean? We don’t have one.”

-You look up into his hooded eyes, “Well, I certainly won’t ever do it with Steve.”

-He looked so annoyed and confused— it was adorable. 

-You grab his hand and brush over his fingers softly, your left hand drops the icecream on the floor carelessly, reaching up behind his neck right after as you jump on your tiptoes

-“Wha-“ Billy starts.

-You kiss that man. You kiss your man with all of your might because, goddamnit, he deserves all the love he can get. 

-You kiss him until he can hear those f*cking fireworks, until he sees and feels and becomes them.

-You hook your hand in his curls tightly, holding his big, rough hand in your other. 

-He reciprocates the kiss even harder and squeezes your hand as a secret promise.

-He envelopes you with his arms and his love.

-Billy made everything better; your day, your outings, school, period pains, dentist appointments, gloomy days, the food on your dates, and even this magi-f*cking-cal kiss in Starcourt mal next to a hotdog stand.

Moon Signs Pt. 1

My take on moon signs based off people I know! Now personally, I tend to have more strong opinions on my favorite moon signs than favorite sun signs. I feel like moon signs really indicate more about a person’s personality than their sun sign, imo. It does rule emotions and behavior after all. With sun signs I struggle with picking favorites because I do genuinely have people I like of every zodiac sign. I just go by the number of people I like from each zodiac sign. Anyhoo, here’s my view on each moon sign! 

Note: These are p long bc I have such strong thoughts on moon signs so I’m splitting it into two parts. :) 

🍂 Aries Moon: Ahhh, my moon sign. I won’t be biased though, I promise. So Aries moons based off other people I know is that we low-key got anger issues LMAO. Every single Aries moon I’ve met besides myself has anger issues, with the exception of one person and she still gets irritated easily. Aries Moons are also extremely sensitive, and they tend to be overlooked for that since they’re fire signs. I’ve found that a lot of what they get angry about has to do with their feelings, if they feel they’ve been wronged this really can make them angry as they are super sensitive. They also get angry when they feel like people aren’t listening to them, as they take this very personally. I’ve also noticed that Aries moons are EXTREMELY honest, they will tell it how it is and they are extremely blunt. They don’t like to beat around the bush, and they are very direct with how they feel about something. Aries moons are also extremely passionate and spontaneous especially in relationships; they’re the ones who wanna kiss in the rain and ride horses into the sunset, that is if you can get them to settle down with you LMAO. Nah all jokes, they’re picky about who they want, but once they really fall for someone it’s very hard for them to let go. They’re also so competitive, they will play dirty. My grandpa used to let me win in checkers as a kid, my dad (who’s an Aries moon) NEVER let me win. He said me losing would help build character LMFAO. He just didn’t wanna lose.They also have strong personalities and can be SUPER impulsive. Also, if they wanna do something, they WILL do it. No one is gonna stop them. If they wanna go somewhere at 3am, they’re doing it. Sorry. You can’t stop them. LMAO. Aries moons also love to be in touch with their inner child, my dad is an Aries moon and bought himself an arcade machine out of nowhere LMAO. I also like to collect shells and watch Disney movies to remind me of my childhood. They also tend to change their views and opinions on things a lot, and mind you they have intense emotions about these things. So it can be hard to keep up w them. 

🍂 Taurus Moon: Taurus moons are just so calm, it’s scary LMAO. I know a few of them, and even if they’re anxious about something you can never tell. They always have this calm demeanor and just seem so unbothered by everything. Taurus moons also LOVE money and the finer things in life. The male Taurus moons I know work a lot just so they can have a lot of money. One of them literally said to me “Money talks” after explaining to me why they work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day doing two jobs. The crazy thing is, despite doing all that extra work, he just seemed so unbothered about it LMAO. The female Taurus moons I know tend to love really expensive clothes and dressing up. This Taurus moon I work with has such nice clothes and always dresses like she’s on a Vogue cover. Like I said, Taurus moons LOVE money and the finer things in life like expensive clothes. If they aren’t the types to dress up or be workaholics, they desire comfort. They would rather lay in bed and take hot bathes than be bothered to do all that extra stuff. They also might like to eat out at expensive restaurants, and are “foodies”. They also might be big lovers of music and have lots of different music tastes. Also, Taurus moons? STUBBORN. Good luck trying to get them to change their mind on something. Also, despite them wanting all the luxuries and comfort of life, they are SUPER grounded. They do not live in a dream world, they see life for what it is, and prefer to be on the ground than have their heads in the clouds. Also, Taurus moons, I’m sorry, but y’all can be lazy. I work with three of them, and they can be lazy. They will not do more than the bare minimum. Also, their anger is low-key scary. Especially since it can come out of nowhere since they’re calm all the time, you never know when they’re angry and if you catch them at the wrong time... well, rip. They also tend to be introverted- even if they’re social, you will not know anything about them unless you’re besties with them or related to them. Doesn’t matter how well you know them, they don’t air their dirty laundry and keep their private life private. Also one last thing, omg these people sing all the time. They love singing to themselves, every single one I’ve met does that LMAO. Anyway, love my Taurus moons. 

🍂 Gemini Moon: Gemini moons love to make people laugh LMAO and love to just sit down and have good talks with people. Their minds NEVER stop working. Good luck trying to get them to stop talking once they know you. They can and will talk about anything for hours. Now, I do admire that, but sometimes I just wanna relax and they won’t stop talking to me LMFAO. My dad’s girlfriend is a Gemini moon and at family gatherings she loves to dance around and try to get everyone else to dance. I find that Gemini moons are very active and love to move around, and try to get everyone to have fun. Definitely the life of the party. They’re super amusing and also love to tell jokes and funny stories. Now not all of them are extroverts especially if they have an earth sun sign. So that is something to consider. My cousin is a Gemini moon and tends to be more introverted, however, once she’s comfortable around someone and knows someone she’s super goofy and loves to make people laugh. Gemini moons also love to learn, they’re always teaching themselves about something. My cousin who’s a Gemini moon just randomly started teaching herself how to do sign language (she’s good at it also)! These people are also SUPER adaptable, they can get along with any kind of personality and can adapt to any situation. I’ve also noticed that they love to playfully roast people and annoy them LMAO. I have noticed that they struggle with reading the room, they tend to just continue to annoy someone and can take it too far, which can get kind of annoying. They’re also extremely curious and are always asking questions. They love to ask random questions without any context. It’s a quirk a lot of them have. Trying to tell a story to them can be frustrating because if you mention certain terms they’ll ask you what they mean LMFAO. My dad was telling a story about how he used surfing to explain physics concepts in class and his girlfriend asked what the concepts were and what they mean. Also, they’re really good at giving advice. These people would make great psychologists imo. This girl I used to talk to (who’s a Gemini moon) actually is becoming a psychologist, so there you go LMAO. 

🍂Cancer Moon: Oh Cancer moons...you guys are so sensitive. They feel everything and anything. I haven’t met a Cancer moon that isn’t an empath. They are extremely good at reading other people and sensing their motives. My mother is a Cancer moon, and she’s always been able to tell who’s toxic in my life. She doesn’t even have to meet them either, just based off of stories I tell her, she can pick it up right away. Now, everyone always says Cancer moons are super close with their family and that’s definitely not always the case. The Cancer moons I’ve met have actually had a lot of problems with their family. Now the thing that I’ve noticed with these placements is that despite how toxic their family is, they always stick by them. Even if they’re not close. So I wouldn’t say they’re all super close with their families, but they always stick up for them, which can be an issue if their family is toxic. Also, Cancer moons, SUPER MOODY. I’m sorry but like I’m a Cancer sun and they’re ten times more moody than I am LMFAO. I’ve always said they act more like the stereotypical Cancer than Cancer suns. Also, this is a super underrated placement for humor. Every Cancer moon I’ve met has been super funny. Also, a super underrated placement for anger issues. Everyone says oh yeah Aries moons have anger issues, like yes, BUT HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN CANCER MOON ANGER?! Y’all Taylor Swift is a Cancer moon and wrote a whole album about how fed up she was about the media mistreating her and the whole Kimye thing (rightfully so) but y’all see my point. They can and will fight you. They also tend to be introverted, even if they’re social, (which I rarely see), they would much rather keep to themselves. I’ve also noticed that they’re very nostalgic a lot. My Cancer moon ex used to just randomly go through childhood photos and would show them to me. They’re also EXTREMELY protective over people they love, they will KILL for the people they love. They also love to talk about their dream homes and interior decorating a lot? My Cancer moon ex was OBSESSED with coming up with his dream house and would literally draw out diagrams for me to see. My mother too, she wants to redecorate her apartment and was showing me all the potential furniture that was gonna be put in. Oh Cancer moons, LMAO. 

🍂 Leo Moon: Oh Leo moons. You guys can be so dramatic LMAO. Every Leo moon I’ve met is so dramatic; these are the types of people who get up and move around when telling a story and also do dramatic hand gestures. These are the types of people who post a black screen in middle school on Snapchat saying “Don’t hmu.” LMAO. My Leo moon friend gets so mad when I make that joke, but it’s so true. These people are also naturally super creative, the Leo moons I know love to decorate and draw. Even if they don’t do any outright creative hobbies, they have a creative streak to them. It’s weird though because despite them being very dramatic when it comes to them being angry, they struggle with expressing their personal problems to other people. (This however can be changed with other placements, but I’ve found this to be true in many cases). They don’t want people to think that they’re weak, so they put up a tough front to hide that they’re hurting. Also, Leo moons, are indeed the hype friends. My Leo moon friends gas up my Instagram posts so much. They’re also extremely loyal and don’t like to leave people out, they hate that kind of shit. They’re also extremely accepting of others, my Leo moon friend was the first person I came out to, and they accepted me right away. They also love to take pictures of EVERYTHING. Like when you go out with them, they will make you wait before eating your food so they can take video of your food together LMAO. They love to capture every moment, I personally find it very endearing. Also, a lot of people say Leo moons are super cocky. I don’t find this to be true. They can come off that way, but I’ve found they tend to actually be pretty insecure and they try to hide it by coming off as confident. I feel like Leo moons tend to put on a show a lot to hide how they truly feel, which makes it hard to get to know them. It makes me sad because they truly are such kind hearted people and all they want is to feel validation. I also found that they love to go above and beyond to make sure everyone else is happy and tend to put themselves last. I wish y’all didn’t do that, you deserve to be happy too. ;( 

🍂 Virgo Moon: Workaholics. That’s how I’m starting this LMAO. My friend is a Virgo moon and works her ass off. She goes above and beyond in school for starters. For this anatomy course we had together, she sent me a whole diagram she made of the human brain on Notability and it was so intricately made. She also works her ass off at her job and takes care of her siblings. I feel like this falls into Virgo placements putting others before themselves. Virgo moons are definitely the types to be like this. They want to make everyone happy and they want to feel useful so they do all these extra things to feel that way. Virgo moons are also super smart, and have the best study methods. Low-key jealous. They have this incredible drive and are always on top of things and have a routine. Also Virgo moons LOVE animals. My friend who’s a Virgo moon, works at a dog sitting business and has 6 pets at home. They LOVE animals. They also like honesty and bluntness; they will provide you with that as well. They don’t like beating around the bush or lying to make other people feel better. You wanna know if you look bad in a dress? Ask a Virgo moon, LMFAO. I’ve also found that they struggle with wanting to be perfect all the time, and struggle with anxiety. As I said, they want to be the best at everything, and this can be a big source of anxiety for them. These people also find themselves attracting people who they want to “fix”. They also give amazing advice and are super reliable. Also, last minute plans? They HATE them. Want a Virgo moon to hate you? Try making spontaneous plans with them LMAO. Virgo moons also have great memories; they’ll remember every little detail about you. Also Virgo moons are the types to take charge in a group project and run the whole thing because they don’t trust anyone. Virgo moons also always appear to be calm and collected, even though many of them frequently deal with anxiety a lot. Also, they’re low-key underrated for humor. They have a very dry and self-deprecating sense of humor LMAO. They also go above and beyond in relationships because they enjoy seeing the people they love being happy.

it’s just like. using fandom words. some of my ocs have meta established relationships but they’re not developed In Canon

bloodpact is the only one that is actually developed both in and out of canon and somewhat dives into The Problem !! revival is infatuated with them at first and does genuinely like them when she meets them but she doesn’t think it’s the “love” that she’s looking for long term. she doesn’t really know what she Is looking for, and eventually realizes that reverence and redemption Are That, but at first she just wants relationships that Can’t Leave Her regardless of their feelings abt it. they don’t Immediately fall in love upon meeting each other and there’s not really any reason for reverence and repentance to like revival at the beginning. their relationships develop over a long period of time spent Together. Constantly. in a sort of forced codependency thing. the fact that they’re never apart is part of why their relationship becomes so strong!!! it’s not “stockholm syndrome” bc stockholm syndrome isn’t real But it is Not Healthy. but that’s literally fine. when they are eventually apart from each other, the feelings they have Do Not diminish or change bc at that point it’s been too long and any outside influences just. doesn’t matter. repentance and reverence never have a moment of “oh this was kind of fucked up of revival to do” because when they do finally get their time apart, revival has already saved their lives and accidentally made them bonded to her forever and ever. so they can’t leave even if they wanted to!

+ that’s why revival is the girl of all time and is definitely not a projection in any way shape or form

itch + petri are no longer in Romantic Love but they have some sort of something going on. a cheetah and labrador kind of thing. itch is petri’s emotional support animal and petri is itch’s emotional support human. they definitely maintain the power imbalance throughout it all + itch doesn’t mind but it’s funny to think about. itch genuinely likes being treated like A Pet and isn’t interested in becoming a “more capable” “person” whatsoever. i don’t know if they ever get a moment of “freedom” from petri because they are quite literally a pet but their quality of life improves from the facility to petri’s house. petri saves them from itch from Death (not that they know what death is at that point) and itch doesn’t want enough autonomy to do anything differently. it’s what they’re used to!! it’s kind of the same as bloodpact but reverence and redemption are treated as People and itch isn’t (but they like it that way)

eulogy and exit wound… they’re fun :] i wouldn’t describe them as being In Love for a very long time. exit wound has a silly little fascination with eulogy as soon as they meet as Enemies and they decide to annoy eulogy more than anything else. technically their job is to Fight and Kill eulogy but exit wound finds it so much more fun just to fuck with them. eventually eulogy realizes that they have developed a Fondness for exit wound and they stop being so hostile towards them <3 eulogy is very tsundere and exit wound is just happy to have their attention

i was thinking last night about Romance in Media and how none of it ever feels… genuine? like, obviously, but i find it common for relationships to have developed from Strangers to Lovers without anything in between. and maybe it’s because i’m autistic and maybe it’s because i’m arospec and maybe it’s because i’m traumatized but it’s hard for me to “believe” that character a and character b are In Love after not even being like. friends

I kno all this ship talk is getting annoying but i just wanted to make a post explaining why the way alloros treat aro characters bugs me specifically. And then I’ll shut up, maybe

I want to make it clear that i do not care if a couple assholes online write fanfic where aro character kisses ppl or is in romantic relationships. Y’all are right, some fanfics here and headcanons there don’t matter. I’ve been in fandoms where small groups of fans got mad that a character was a lesbian and started blogs just to post about how actually she was 100% straight. That’s still bad and I’m not here excusing those ppls homophobia, but it was also like a small drop in the bucket compared to how much fan content existed portraying her as a lesbian and canon enforcing it as well. At the end of the day it didn’t change her identity.

And i haven’t seen this as much but i have seen some ppl declare Todd bojackhorseman (one of the most prominent asexual characters) to actually be allosexual bc they hate ace ppl or something. I also honestly don’t give a shit about that. Not only do most people know that Todd is canonically ace, he has multiple plot lines in the show about being ace. Saying he’s not is just factually untrue.

But when a character doesn’t have those plotlines, when they never say asexual or aromantic, when all the in canon confirmation we have is “it’s just not my thing” or “I’d rather have a dog than children” or “I’m not x identity I’m nothing” or even just an external tweet from the creative team confirming it, it’s a lot easier to erase their identity. Fuck, I’ve seen a character say “i am incapable of feeling romantic attraction, i never have and i never will” and ppl still not only deny that they’re aro, it’s not even questioned that they’re alloromantic. Every time i post offhandedly about peridot from Steven universe being canonically aroace, i still have aspec ppl every time comment about how they never knew she was canonically aro bc the entire fandom continues to deny and erase her canon identity.

Ppl say “uhhh one fanfic isn’t gonna change a characters canon identity sweaty :)” “one persons headcanons don’t negate canon :))))” but when Everyone does that it does erase their identity! When nobody acknowledges it then a bunch of aspec ppl don’t even know they’re being represented! Fandoms will take scraps of tweets or one line references to enforce and prove their ship or head canon is actually canon, but when writers say “this character has never been in love” or “this character cares deeply about others but would never dream of dating or marrying anyone” then it’s “uwu but that doesn’t prove anything! U don’t have to be a heartless aro to not be a fan of dating uwu”

When the only confirmation we have is a line or two and everyone wants to steamroll over that bc their ship is more important to the point where PEOPLE LITERALLY DONT EVEN KNOW THAT CHARACTER IS SUPPOSED TO BE AROMANTIC then i have a problem! That is erasure! You are taking away our representation! You literally are doing that! And not to get into speculation but if a bunch of creators see that people fucking hate when a character is canonically aspec, they might not want to give us rep if the whole fandom turns and says “fuck you for doing that, you’re ruining my experience” i’ve seen at least one creator say “I’m not gonna confirm this characters identity because it will piss people off” when that character was previously known to be aromantic. So thanks for that i guess. I’m glad at least that there was backlash to ppl erasing yelenas identity, enough backlash to get aromantic to #2 trending which i have never seen before. At least now people are aware of her identity, at least aspec people know that she shares our identity, and when it inevitably gets erased in the MCU, at least we’ll know to be pissed about it. But for many others, ppl just don’t know, because everyone chooses knowingly or unknowingly to cut that characters identity away from them, bc idk they think someone being aspec is boring or smthn

My final conclusion i suppose is just, if a aspec representation falls in the forest and nobody ever acknowledges it, does it benefit the people it’s representing

The fact that Sirius would use his animagus form in Azkaban is slightly hilarious to me, because like, did any of the other prisoners notice that there was occasionally a dog in his cell? I have no idea what the layout is or if the prisoners ever see each other (side-note, how are they fed? Do Dementors deliver meals? Do human guards come up for a bit with a Patronus to give them food? Is there a cafeteria where Sirius has to decide if he’ll sit with people he spent a war fighting against or does he sit alone because all non-Death Eaters think he’s guilty? Dying to know if Sirius and the Death Eaters would have to spend about an hour every day pretending they’re all civil with each other even though everyone clearly remembers Sirius nearly killing half of them because they have no other options really), but I always pictured Azkaban with cells that are in close proximity to each other, if only because it feels like the Ministry would make the prisoners watch each other be driven insane by the Dementors, further decaying the others’ minds, so like, surely someone saw the dog. If so, it leads to the interaction of “Black, you’re an animagus?! When? You’re barely in your twenties and there was a war, when did you have the time? Also, you’re not on the registry, that’s definitely illegal.” “What are they gonna do, throw me in Azkaban? I’m already here. Also, maybe you all couldn’t become an animagus in your teens, but I could.”

dude sirius in azkaban is such a huge Problem for me because we have absolutely no information about it other than it makes u lose ur whole mind and ok, on one hand i get why that is (to create such a fantastical, over the top image of this horrible, terrible place without going into mind details) but also. also!!! i just want all the mundane details ykno? everything you mentioned, i wanna know. it’s annoying.

i do think, perhaps bc of the movies, that maybe all the cells are just beside each other? like azkaban is a cliff, yeah? so the cells form a circle, all facing outward? in that case, they probably would’ve never seen sirius, esp if the place was all dark and shadow-y and stuff. and i can’t imagine someone finding out and not doing something about it? like idk what they *can* do but,,,just letting it be seems…weird. of course, it’s also entirely possible that most people inside *have* gone insane so it doesn’t even matter that they’re seeing a dog where there should be a person.

all of that aside, however, it is downright hilarious assuming all the occupants of azkaban having to socialise together for an hour when they get their designated ‘sun time’ in a day. they *have* to play nice, or else. and it’s even funnier when u picture the post-first war pureblood crowd in close proximity with all the criminals. low-key imagining bella, the lestranges, sirius, and everyone else sitting in a circle, drinking tea with their pinkies up and bodies stiffly held and barely concealed sneer on their face. ‘nice weather we’re having today, yes?’ ‘exceptional, exceptional’

and them finding out sirius is an animagus!!! it has so much potential for hilarity.

Astro observations Part I

✰ Capricorn Risings don’t always have a resting bitch face. A lot of the time they can come across as bubbly and extroverted. However, if you find yourself on the bad side you will understand where their reputation for having a RBF comes from. 

✰ Cancer Mars are ABSOLUTELY the definition of passive aggressive energy. It gets real whenever a few cancer mars are friends and their fights end up circling around the elephant in the room with no one willing to acknowledge the root of the problem. 

✰ Venus in the 7th house: Everyone I know who has this placement is literally. always. in. a. relationship! Even if they don’t like the other person they are always in and out of relationships. They tend to also be rather dependent on their lovers or friends. If I didn’t love them so much it would be annoying. 

✰ Planets/Stelliums in the 8th house Look, I know the 8th house rules occult matters, death and sex but that’s not all they think about! It doesn’t mean they all love BDSM, think about sex 24/7 or anything like that. In my observations (and having Sun/Mercury in the 8th house) it just means they prefer discussing dark and deep subjects. They don’t care for superficiality, they want to know what you really feel deep down, what your darkest fears and secrets are. Whether or not they share theirs is a different story but they usually prefer deep subjects over superficial ones. 

✰Capricorn Moons don’t always come off as closed off or cold. They may even come off as warm and inviting but the walls closest to their heart is always up. Those are the walls that take a lifetime to bring down. I once knew a Capricorn moon who did not allow her husband to sleep with her because she did not want the emotional closeness but as her friend you only saw her warmth and light. 

✰ Venus Square Moon people really do have a tough time falling in love or being in love. I don’t think it is hopeless (or at least I hope not bc I have this aspect too). But of the people I have seen struggling to get into a relationship or keep one, almost all of them had Venus Square Moon, sometimes Venus Square Pluto etc. 

✰ 12th House Placements just really need time to themselves to recharge. Bonus points if either listening or playing music is involved (Neptunian energy is strong here). They are also quite intuitive and can sense when things are right or wrong. They are generally not one to voice said feelings though and fades away into the background rather than confront someone. Can also be loud and outgoing when they want, but will also hold other things very close to their chest. 

✰ Libra Venus can be a flirt but they rarely mean it. They aren’t TRYING to flirt, they just forget that their general behavior is construed as flirting. I’ve met a few Venus in Libras (including me, hi!) who are commitment phobes and hate staying in relationships because they know it’s not right. I also know Venus in Libras who LOVE dating and always have a significant other so I guess it just depends on other aspects. YOU’RE AMAZING! seeing the mental affects this has all had her was so realistic, it felt like I could personally feel that distance in herself she feels it’s amazing and heartbreaking, I feel so bad for my baby :(. And gale putting her in the book just reminded me of all the conflicting feelings I have about her character in general like I love her she’s an icon, but at the same time after six movies of her disregarding the victims of ghosts face it’s really getting annoying how her character is always knocking down victims of ghosts face for money like she doesn’t have enough of it, she does it with total disregard to them.she doesn’t pay them,she doesn’t n ask them,she doesn’t even apologize like ever and with knowing all that I don’t know why I didn’t think she would exploit the mc but either way it goes I’m FUMING I adore gale and all but she’s doing my girl dirty and I’m really starting to hope she doesn’t make it to end.

also i'm so happy you picked up on the psychological elements! i feel like there's so much hinted at in each ghostface, but especially billy and stu, especially their dynamic with billy having a bit of a motive and stu being presented as just having gone along with it a little more, so i try to stay true to that if nothing else, also psychology is like my second passion (i was a psych major for two days before deciding that i loved writing more) so i like to explore that side of things and i'm glad it comes across!

See, like, normally I know it’s not worth the effort and energy to interact with The Stans, but like I mentioned about that anon who basically said it’s okay if soldiers die because they’re not innocents, there’s a line to be drawn in a discussion of fictional media and people being so thickheaded and hurtful/harmful that they actually cause legitimate grief to others.

Even if people think it’s stupid that they have views that basically erase her of any wrongdoing, there’s a point where I have to stop and evaluate, is this actually them defending a favorite character or is this how they actually think and like her because of that.

Like I said in that ask, the anon I once got that effectively told me it’s okay for soldiers to die doesn’t know me or my life. They didn’t know I have a sister who used to a sergeant in the military. They didn’t know this woman has kids, and at the time had three very young children (they’re teens now, but when she was deployed they were a lot younger and still just kids). That’s not counting the rest of the family of course, but it says a lot when their ask implied to me that a soldier is no longer a person with a family but just an expendable device to be eliminated for warfare.

And that’s the problem with a lot of these people. They defend their extreme, terrible views by saying extremely moronic shit without applying it to real life and realizing how disgusting they actually sound. When my nonnies and I were discussing why we didn’t enjoy GW, that was just discussion and disappointment of a great character being altered in another game. It was harmless discussion and we weren’t sending people comments that might actually upset someone.

I know some of these people do it on purpose, and then there are the people who genuinely just don't seem to realize how stupid they sound. It’s one thing to explain why you love a favorite, but imagine if I actively defended Jarod from RD simply because I enjoy his character. If he were real, I’d probably hate him. In a video game he has funny one-liners and says some badass things, but he’s completely willing to murder innocents, children and elders simply because lolz they’re from Daein and that makes them worth being killed. Imagine if I defended that viewpoint, simply because Ashnard, the previous king of Daein, started a war! Because some of its citizens were in fact trash! But suddenly, all of them are horrible! Mind you, this is what The Stans do regarding Faerghus. If you’re living in Faerghus, off with your head, in their eyes.

That’s why I need to draw a line between “this is just another annoying person on the internet” and “okay, this is actually rude and if you believe this applies to real life too then you are literally a fucked up person”. so, i suppose my point wasn’t clear enough, but “it isn’t real” is that not only are they fictional characters, but it is a FANON ship. there is no evidence for it in the show. so these people getting annoyed at men being inserted into a sapphic relationship, are just making up things to be annoyed about. there are no real lesbians being harmed.

also, this isn’t just to you, but it is so strange to me that people think considering other people in a relationship is making that ship about them. you can’t use the fact that r//nance is a sapphic ship just to say they can do what they want and it doesn’t matter who gets hurt. that’s not how life works.

steve would never tell robin to do or not do something, nor have i ever said he would! oddly enough, when i write posts, i’m writing from MY perspective. not steve’s! steve would do quite literally anything to ensure the people he loves are happy, even at the expense of himself. steve, while being unimaginably hurt, would step aside for robin. he wouldn’t do anything to hurt her. he wouldn’t be the one to stop the relationship on account of him, robin would.

now, robin can do whatever she wants. however, i think it would be a terrible thing to do to your best friend. it isn’t that i think robin is incapable of dating nancy, or that steve would stop her, it’s that i don’t think robin would do that. she loves steve, she spends the entire season trying to get nancy to date steve again, because she wants him to be happy. so no, i don’t think she would do something that would cause him pain. because he is her best friend. you can think that robin would actively hurt her friend like that if you want to, but i think that’s a very sad view of her character.

and the only reason I’m criticising this non-canon ship, is because i saw people bashing people that didn’t ship r//nance, which is honestly such a joke. i, however, tagged my posts so people that did like the ship wouldn’t see them. if you chose to willingly engage with discourse about a ship you like, and then got annoyed about it, that is your problem.

“the heart wants what it wants” is such a weird excuse. first all, robin doesn’t even have a crush on nancy, so it’s laughable you think that’s a problem. but the heart can want something that the head knows is wrong. at the end of s2, steve’s heart is still in love with nancy, and wants to be with her. but his head knows they don’t work, his head knows she wants someone else. so why pursue the relationship? let’s say robin had a crush on nancy. her heart may want it, but her head knows the relationship would be devastating to her relationship with steve. and i think she would consider that relationship more important then a possible girlfriend.

and yes, people hate nancy for a variety of reasons, some because of her character traits, some because of her actions, and some because of sexism. however, i was talking about s/ancy. people largely blame steve for how bad the relationship was, my point was that if you make nancy a man, but keep all the beats of the relationship the same, it would be nancy that would come out of the show looking bad. i think she made a lot of mistakes in her relationships, with both steve and jonathan, and the boys made mistakes too. but i wasn’t making a post talking about them, i was talking about nancy and robin. so, if i’m making a post explaining why i don’t think r//nance works, i have to mention her pitfalls, not theirs. unless you want me to centre a sapphic relationship around two men?

now, i like nancy! she’s cutthroat, and unempathetic and does what she wants even at the detriment of others, she’s driven and sometimes she’s so focused on doing what she wants she forgets to consider other characters. i think that makes her an interesting character. what i don’t like is that those flaws are never spoken about, nor even recognised as flaws. the show pretends she doesn’t even have them! which is a terrible way to treat one of the main characters.

people like to bring up the slutshaming a lot, which was super wrong and deserves to be called out! but nancy willingly chose to date steve after s1. so it would be fucked up if she continuously held that against steve after choosing to date him again. but also, she clearly doesn’t hold it against him! it is never mentioned again after s1, and nancy is over it. also! steve did not force her to get drunk. nancy has freewill, if she desperately did not want to go to the party (and considering she was trying to entice jonathan into going and she had planned out costumes with steve, she did), she did not have to! it is not on steve to try and solve nancy’s trauma, and she’s a big girl in control of her own actions.

so, yes, i do say i’m a s1 steve defender. people try to separate that season from all other seasons when saying they like steve and i think that’s dumb. s1 steve is brave and caring and over-protective and willing to sacrifice his life to try and save jonathan and nancy. it’s not that i love steve’s bad actions, it’s that i think they’re interesting. steve flipping out at the cheating, and goading jonathan into a fight just because he wants to punch him and be punched, is interesting! i like analysing those aspects of steve’s characters.
